HELP APPRECIATED WITH PREPARATION OF FIREWOOD
We are a couple living a simple life in the west of Clare. The farm is located in a quiet dead end road about 2 km from Connolly village. 5 acres have been planted as a Native Woodland. The rest of the farm is also planted around the borders with various trees , fruit bushes, shrubs, and herbs. Basically all the farm is treated like one big garden and eventually should sustain everyone living here. We keep Pigs,Chickens,Cows and one horse. We also have dogs and cats.We do produce some of our own meat, so please keep that in mind if you are vegetarian. We prefer couples or friends travelling together who should be over 21 years. We are an Irish family of five, Eoin, Olivia and three great girls Anna (8), Kate(5) and Sage (3). We run a small mixed farm just outside the historic town of Kells in the heart of the Boyne Valley. Our primary business is rearing Free Range Bronze Turkeys and Geese for Christmas. We also operate an educational mobile farm visiting food festivals, events and schools so we have a great mixture of animals for that including rear breed pigs and sheep, ducks, hens (all our own eggs in the morning!) and Matilda our milking goat!
We also have horses and there is opportunity to ride out for those with experience.

We need general help on the farm, feeding animals, herding them in and out (as everything is free range), keeping sheds clean and tidy and looking after horses too. We need some support with the kids too as it is a busy house, especially in the evenings! We would love a couple or two friends able to stay one month or longer. Separate accommodation available in a wooden cabin... more inside
