Hi there,

Javier writing here, this hostel is my personal way of showing my city and culture to others, after 14 years traveling and staying in hotels, hostels, friends houses or camping, I learned the importance of having a place where you feel comfortable, safe and welcome.

We have 4 different ways for you to stay with us, help us in any project that fits you:

1.- HELP AT THE HOSTEL

We are around 7 to 10 crew members most of our people are girls so we are looking ONLY for hard working fun GUYS (sorry girls) to help with reception, general maintenance and our daily activities, at the hostel we really take care about 3 topics: Our people (team and guest), great fun open-minded environment and clean areas, sometimes we will ask you to help us cleaning or painting a wall and in other moments you will be organizing a movie night, preparing guacamole or giving tequila shots to people.

2.- BLOGGERS AND VLOGGERS
We know you’re always looking for places to stay on your tr... more inside

We are building a community 40 minutes south of Xilitla, San Luis Potosi. We have 6 hectares of land, two water sources, a stream and a deep pool of clear water, and are located 20 minutes walk from the nearest villages so it's very peaceful. Our project is developing a place where you can learn to live with nature directly following permaculture ethics, applying the techniques of bio-dynamics, which we compliment with our spiruline pond. We live off grid, but have electricity from solar panels, we cook using solar cookers and by burning wood, and have a compost toilet. We also have a mission, which is to help the surrounding local communities through offering healings and also by teaching environmental technology.

NOTE: We are asking for a charity cooperation of $5 USD PER DAY FOR FOOD, and a stay of preferable at least one week.

We are currently developing our land, and there is a lot of room for new projects. We particularly want to become auto-sustainable, and have alrea... more inside

You would have your mornings free, then five hours of language training in the afternoon and sometimes on saturdays mornings
The school is a friendly place and we work towards having a good time together. We ask for a minimum commitment of two weeks.

We are a very quiet hostel with a privileged location, only a few steps from the ADO bus station, at the centre of the city of Cancun, and a few meters from the main bars and restaurants in downtown. Definitely not a party hostel, however, sales for the discos of the hotel zone and for different tours around the peninsula are performed. We are characterized by its rustic concept and mostly our visitors choose us
precisely for this rustic and mayan concept.

The job position consists in taking care of the reception (check ins and checks outs; tours’ and clubs’ sales), cleaning and organizing rooms as so as common areas.
Between september and november also we take volunteers for maintenance, like electricity, plumb, painting, etc.

Our requirements are speaking some Spanish is not required, but it makes things easier. Speaking good English is necessary. Minimal stay of one month. Besides everything already mentioned.

We offer accommodation in a shared dormitory. The helpers ... more inside
