lI am 88 yrs old still active enough to live in and maintain a restored water mill 8 km. from Castillon-la-Bataille; about a km down hill from the village of St Philippe d'Aiguilhe.
I was an art-history, archeology, and English teacher until my husband and I bought a small vineyard that we worked on with helpers, Woofers, etc., and always enjoyed them.
When my son and family took over the vineyard, we moved to the mill nearby with 5 hectares of woods and meadows.
Now, on my own, I need help in preparing the vege and flower gardens for winter in November and particularly January-March, bringing in wood for heating and keeping small trees, branches and brambles from invading the meadows. I often need general repairs around an old stone house. A driver's licence is essential so you can drive my car wherever needed.
You would have an independent "studio apt." with double bed, kitchen facilities and bathroom. I can provide meals if need be and for vegetarians though I'm not one... more inside

Hi we're a Franco-British couple, Lucy and Roland, with a part-time 10 year old son, Etienne, in a large, large barn - starting to build a house within it. We're currently looking for folk to help from April, as we lack heated space for the winter. 2017 is the "year of the house":

First jobs this spring has included building the missing wall and insulating the stone walls of the barn with cellulose, next step is isolating the south wall with "straw-and-earth" and then plumbing, electricity, staircase, inside walls... And that's just the beginning...

Lucy works part-time at the Ressourcerie de Foix where we give a second life to objects that would otherwise be thrown away. You'd be welcome to occasionally join the team of volunteers there if that appealed.

Lots to keep us busy. Come and join us with the project and the rest of life: garden chickens, conserves, fruit trees, helping friends on their projects...

We've WWOOFing experience (we met when Lucy was hitching t... more inside

I m starting an activity with bees, I'm developing beehives, need help to clean old material and prepare for next year, I'm also gardening, on a permacultural way. There are some animals : hens, dogs and cats, horses and donkeys, sheeps.
I live here with my two daughters.
The house is big enough to welcome friends and visitors.
We are near Marciac and its Jazz Festival (summer), not far from Vic Fezensac and its latin festival (july). Not far from Pyrénées and 2 hours from ocean.
See you !

We own a large farm. We can offer 2 people a place in the caravan as long as they are happy to share or know each other. We have lots of cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, peacocks and geese. We have a cattery and take in dogs and chickens when people go on holiday. We rescue abandoned kittens, bottle feed, sterilise and re home. We live in a quiet rural area. The accommodation offered is a caravan with wifi just for sleeping in, the days will be spent in the house and on the farm with the family. Jobs required, help with ground maintenance, grass cutting, fencing, anyone who can do plumbing would be a great advantage, painting, decorating, walking dogs, cooking, clearing, cleaning, de cluttering & organising. Come and help us on the funny farm to get sorted .

Hello travelers,
I am the proud owner of a historic castle from the 15th century, situated in the middle of the countryside of Burgundy.
If the building is habitable as it is, the gardens and grounds require substantial work that I can not carry out alone.
The walls need to be stripped of their invasiveness ivy, dry stone walls of the paths are partially collapsed, trails are not passable overgrown, fruit plantations are to be undertaken, etc. ...
Accommodation in the castle or in tents, bicycles available, wireless internet.
If you have skills in wood or building you are more than welcome.

The Next Operation of tree planting is scheduled from November 23 to December 3rd 2017.
September,October open.
Operation in mid April 2018.
We are relatively isolated 10 km from shops and 40 minutes north of Dijon.
Simplicity, sincerity.

Just a short update to say that we could do with some help for our winter wood supply and we do have some plumbing and wiring jobs to complete, if any one is competent in these fields and looking for a stay please get in contact. We have lived and farmed in France since 1990. During that time we have had a multitude of visitors from all over the world for our B & B (which we no longer run). We have also had a great variety of people to help us from Australia, the Ukraine,France and the UK. Something we find stimulating and interesting.
This is a farm of just over 100 ha. We have two main enterprises, single suckler cows and sheep. With production of cereals and other crops used mainly for our own animals. As the farm is relatively small by todays standards we have also diversified in breeding dogs and welsh ponies.
This means we always plenty and a variety of work. Work for volunteers can be equally very varied depending on your skills from using the chainsaw to helping with the ... more inside
