We have a 5 acre property bordering a pristine National Park rainforest in Gippsland, in the stunningly lovely Tarra Valley. There are gorgeous fern gullies and towering mountain ash trees, as well as wombats, wallabies and rosellas. We have a large organic permaculture garden where we grow berries, roses, fruit trees, vegetables and meadow flowers. My partner has a large art studio on the property, and I run small, private spiritual/meditation retreats. Helpers stay in our private and lovely retreat accommodation. We are a 3 hour drive from Melbourne. The work that you would be doing here is weeding, mulching, planting, pruning - generally just working in our big garden, and learning about permaculture and organic gardening if it interests you. I can provide vegan, vegetarian, or ordinary meals. We love to have couples stay with us, or two or three friends who like working and relaxing together.

WE WOULD LOVE SOME HELPERS SOON, FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, IN MID JUNE. FROM AROUND JUNE 9T... more inside

Heya from the family!

We're a family originally from Sydney, moved down to the Victorian country to build a retreat and permaculture farm. Everything about this area seemed to good to be true, but it just keeps getting better!

Each of us are working on many different projects (Permaculture studies, B&B setup, music shows, Choirs, Homeschooling...). We need help with chores so there's enough time in the day to work on the projects.

We're going to need some help:
Chores in the house
Building a bed and breakfast cottage
Building a bed and breakfast website
Gardening (weeding, watering, planting, seed-raising)
Maintaining fences
Fixing things when something goes wrong (like when we had a blockage in the water-tank for the cows)
If you like cooking, you're welcome to help out in that department too, but I (Nick) also love cooking, so hands ooff! ...just kidding, but let's share huh?

We are...
Nick (28): Musician, couchsurfer, wine rep, farmer
Peter (58): Farmer,... more inside

We are a young active family living on a permaculture farmlet near Warburton in the Yarra Valley. On our small property we are currently milking goats, keeping bees, organic gardening through the seasons and training a young camel. So with all that happening we certainly have have lots of knowledge to share with the right volunteers.
Our house is off the grid hexagonal mud brick.
A little about ourselves...We are keen crafters and passionate advocates of the environment. We love camping and spending time outdoors.

In exchange work we would love some help around the house and in our garden.

Small cottage in Victoria's stunning Dandenong Ranges needs a makeover!

We are looking for one or two people to give our cosy cottage a spring clean, some gardening and/or painting. We are close to the centre of Belgrave, walking distance to shops and public transport - including the train line to the city.

We have purchased a bush block with a great house and pool. We are in Somers near the beach which is on the Eastern side of the Mornington Peninsula about 65km south east of Melbourne.

We are looking for help to bring it back to its glory. The immediate work starting in May will involve fencing the property and redoing the paving around the house and pool. We are also keen to start organic farming and any help in this area would be great.

We will only be there on weekends so you will need to be fairly self sufficient. The house is very sold with an amazing fireplace and space galore.

We invite applications from people who are keen on clean air, organic edible living and beach life.

Drop us an email if you think you may be interested.

Photos will come soon .... ie we settle the property in a week.

We are on a beautiful property flanked by the Alpine National Park of three sides. The house is rammed earth and we are on alternative power and water. We have a natural swimming pool and tennis court. We grow berries, apples and have a small orchard and vegetable garden. There is also use of the property vehicle for trips into town. Help required is for gardening/landscaping, painting, cleaning. I would expect 3 to 4 hours a day but this can be flexible. Our children are at boarding school and only live with us occasionally. We also have a training cafe for indigenous students and could offer some work there. We run a foundation for indigenous youth from a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory and there are lots of opportunities to mix with these participants if you wish to.
