Hi, I am Scottish and I live in a motor cruiser boat not far from Central London. I work as a youth worker with refugee kids and work quite changeable hours and often quite late. I am a vegetarian and don't really know how to cook meat!!! (So you might have to cook this yourself or eat veggie!)
The helper would have own room, drawers and own bathroom and shower and we would share living room and kitchen.
I require a helper who is handy, eg carpentry skills and DIY skills. I need someone to help sand and paint outside of fibreglass boat. Fibreglass skills would also be useful.
The area is very nice, right next to Thames, near parks, Woodlands, a farm, cinema, shopping centre, bowling, tube station, buses, swimming pool etc.
I would prefer to have someone who is tidy, trust worthy, hard working and respectful of my home and who is friendly and open minded.
I spent about 10 years travelling the world and enjoy meeting people from other countries and cultures..
I can tell you/... more inside

We are a family run hill farm with 700 sheep and 40 suckler cows on the outskirt of Snowdonia between Bala and Betws y Coed in North Wales. We are looking for some help over the lambing period around the 20th of March to help with lambing, farm work and general chores around the yard, and also gardening . There will be plenty of time to explore the lovely country we live in. We have a 28 yr old son who is a sheep shearing contracter and a dry stone mason and he also helps out on the farm, he lives with his wife and baby in the village. We also have a 26 yr old daughter, who works full time as an occupational therapist, she also lives in the village with her husband and baby, but comes to help on the farm in her spare time. During the summer months we enjoy showing our speckled face sheep in various shows including the Royal Welsh show. We live right beside the B road and a mile from the village and the nearest pub. Accommodation is available in the family home.

Hi. My 2 teenage children, our dog, 3 cats, rabbit, hamster and I live in a 4 bedroom farmhouse on a 20 acre farm. I need some help with my garden mainly but I am very open to useful ideas/contributions as I am a single parent so there is always a list of minor jobs around the house that need doing. Our spare room is very large and comfortable, equipped with a double bed and bunk beds so would suit a couple or friends or single travellers. Happy to share meals or leave you to use the kitchen as you wish. We live rurally but only 20 minutes drive from the coast and we are surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. There is no public transport links so you would need to have your own car for getting out and about in the area. We are a relaxed family and love meeting people.

We live in a beautiful area of South Devon. Anthony have our own business and care for Anthony's elderly father, Raymond, who has early stage dementia and lives in our annex. Frogmore is a small friendly village 3 miles from Kingsbridge and 12 miles from Dartmouth. There is a good local pub and a small shop/bakery. It is on a regular bus route between Dartmouth & Plymouth.

Our home is situated on the estuary and has a large garden. We also have our own chickens and grow fruit & vegetables.

Anthony & I run the B&B with the help of our cleaner Andrea, who usually services the rooms and does all the cleaning, but we would like help with this when she is away or on a couple of days a week when she is not working.

There are usually one or two other workaday volunteers in the village.

Our volunteer would be living in the annex with Raymond and we would like him/her to help look after Raymond, who can generally care for himself but needs to be kept an eye on. We generally t... more inside

I have a lovely house with a big vege garden here in the Centre of cobham. I am fighting cancer so need a bit of help in the house and garden. I speak German, French,Spanish & Portuguese. It would be helpful if you have a driving licence in case I need to go to hospital. You get your own room eat together with me.I am leaning more and more towards being a vegetarian but that does not mean I expect you to be so. I was the ultimate carnivore prior to this cancer!I was a language teacher in the past and water sports instructor recently.
Full up till mid July

We are a family of four with teenage sons who are now mostly away. We own a beautiful 40 acre croft on a Scottish Island called Lismore. It is a long, slim island situated at the mouth of the great Glen in loch Linnhe and is easy to get to; (5 min from Appin and 50 min from Oban by boat). This is a lush, fertile island with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and waters.
Our vision is to create a beautiful and inspirational nugget of Scotland where we can live self sufficiently and gently on the land, however we have a lot to do to get there and need plenty of help. I am a textile artist and run my business from a studio on the croft. (See www.mogwaiidesign.com) I run textile retreats as well as make products and commissions for sale. My husband is a house builder however he will soon turn his focus to all the things that need attending to on our land. We have 38 Shetland sheep, 3 hens, 3 cats and one dog so if you're allergic to animal hair or dust, best stear clear! We... more inside
