Hi travellers!
Our farm is a grain and legumes property in the Wimmera with alpacas, sheep and a cat who thinks she is a dog. Our home property is an hour north of the beautiful Grampians, on the plains between Melbourne and Adelaide. We can pick you up from local towns that have regular bus services from Melbourne or elsewhere. Our sons have left home so we have available rooms in our house. Our other property is close to the Grampians and you may spend some time there too.
Your help in the garden, the homestead and farms will be much appreciated. Tasks could include digging, pruning, general gardening, helping build sheep yards and fencing, tidying up, alpaca and general farm work. We would like you to work for five hours a day, with one day off a week. We prefer a week's stay to start with. In return we offer you food, accommodation and an insight into life on an Australian family farm.
Mid September onwards.

Our equestrian centre is only 15 minutes from Melbourne's inner city and 5 minutes from the airport - so you can always stay for a few days on your way to or from Melbourne.

We run a full care horse agistment and training centre with fabulous horse facilities. We offer daily riding lessons and hold weekend riding clinics. We also run a monthly sales barn where people can bring their horses for sale and we have two Warmblood stallions at stud.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone interested in farm and horsework in Melbourne.

We expect 5 hours of work in return for food and accommodation. This gives you plenty of opportunity to visit the city or surrounding areas in your time off.

Work includes horse specific tasks like feeding, grooming, and possibly riding. The bulk of the work will be general farmwork like cleaning, gardening, fencing and painting. There is always plenty to be done and learnt so you won't get bored with having to do the same thing over and over a... more inside

Hi!

I am Phil, 28 years old and I am looking for some helpers on our farm. We run a cherry orchard in North East Victoria near Lake Eildon. ( 2 hours by bus from Melbourne)

We need a few people to stay with us to help work on the Cherry orchard. You will have your own quality lodge to stay in and can be independent with the work. We are fairly relaxed and will not work helpers too hard or have unreasonable expectations.

There should be about 2-4 weeks of work on the around the farm depending on competency level.

Jobs include spraying weeds, pruning etc.

This is the perfect getaway for a couple or a few friends that will count towards your 417 VISA.

Benefits include plenty of spare time for hiking, fishing and seeing how life is in the Australian countryside. The earliest you can start is this Friday the 7th.

When applying please cite all relevant experience (if any) and your age and availability.

cheers
phil

We're a family in little house in the leafy suburb of Thornbury. Two young girls, mum, dad and a dog.

We are looking for one help ex to stay with us from Friday August 7th, hopefully for a month or more.

The work exchange will be cleaning the house, cooking, gardening and looking after the girls.

We need someone to pick up the girls from school three days a week (either via tram or car 6 kms away) and do cooking and general housekeeping.

We're pretty flexible with work/ hours other than the school pick ups if our help ex needs to go on adventures.

We're looking for someone who is playful and sweet and will enjoy hanging out with two really lovely girls.

We are a musician/ arts manager and a teacher/ therapist. We dance and sing a lot and enjoy life. We're active and ride our bikes around town. Our girls are lovely and cheeky and LOVE having guests around. We also cook good food and enjoy eating together/ playing cards/ walking the dog/ going on picnics/ going to... more inside
