I offer Emotional healing and run related workshops and courses from my home/small center. I am a qualified Permaculture designer although you would not know it from currently looking at my garden. Last year was traumatic for me and now I have problems with my hip so can not do all that I would like outside. I would really appreciate some help getting my garden under control. I am situated in beautiful countryside. The household currently exists of myself and a lodger, I also sometimes offer B&B. happy to give you delicious food and a bed in exchange. free WiFi. The surrounding area is beautiful countryside with tidal rivers.

This is a rural setting but on fast frequent train and bus routes to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. I have only just joined HX but been hosting on CS for years and you may get a better idea of me both as an individual and as a host, see my website link above.

I have just moved from Edinburgh to a former farmhouse outside Edinburgh sort of halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. As of this morning I have not yet updated my CS profile to reflect this. Too busy with unpacking cleaning and all the things I have to do now I am here and for the next many months. Hence my joining HelpX

I am looking for some light help cleaning organising outside help. planting etc and even some admin or web research work if it suits

I have no fixed views on how long you can come for 2 or 3 days or longer. Even had CS who came to my last place for 2 days and stayed 2 months

Might suit someone looking fr a central but rural setting to explore Glasgow Edinburghgh and Scotland and or some... more inside

Is there anybody out there who is available throughout June 2017 to help me out? I broke my collarbone and it is slow to mend. Yolande is away in NZ caring for her father and I cannot keep up with the garden. It is very frustrating. I'm looking for somebody who can tend the garden. Planting out, weeding and general maintenance, We're really experimental in what we grow and how we grow it so it would be a great experience for somebody into that sort of thing. And if you can help around the house that would be even better. I am happy to train you and it's good fun!

Andrew and Yolande live in Howle Hill, which is 3 miles south of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire. Our property is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to the Forest of Dean, Monmouthshire (Wales) and Gloucestershire.

Yolande and Andrew are well seasoned travellers who have helpxed around the world. We have a low-impact, sustainable lifestyle and philosophy by growing our own food and trying to re-use, ... more inside

This is a workshop venue, guest house and language school on the side of Rydal Lake and surrounded by mountains. It is in the centre of the National Park 2 miles from Ambleside and Grasmere villages. The cottage dates from the 16th century and the adjoining barn has been converted into a yoga and dance studio. Gardens include a vegetable plot, summerhouse and sauna. We need hardworking people - year round - who enjoy living in community and enjoy cleaning, laundry work, helping in the kitchen and garden work. Help very much needed with tree planting and tree care from now to end May.

We are a small alternative hill farm and woodland. We need help with building work, planting trees, soil improvement, woodworking, processing and delivering firewood and establishing zones for growing fruit/nuts/vegetables. Other interests include dry stone walling and permaculture. Accommodation is in a caravan with gas cooker and woodstove for colder evenings. Helpers usually eat meals with us, including home baking adventures (see photo 2) and culinary explorations from our guests' own repertoires. We are off grid with composting toilet. We are 20 minutes drive from the nearest shops and can collect you from station or bus stop. In the evening our location feels peaceful and remote (see photos 1 and 3) but there is regular traffic on the road during the day so hitching is an option. We also have pedal cycles you can borrow. Mobile phone networks and internet access usually possible. Wildlife on site... more inside

Unusual opportunity for Helpx volunteers - time limited unfortunately from 14th May -14th June 2017.

We are a family with young children renovating an old Victorian house to live in. The house is in Nottingham, a city in the middle of England. We moved ina year ago with a LOT of help from some wonderful volunteers. We have made loads of progress but there is still a lot of work to do.

We are looking for someone/2 people willing to share a room who would like to join our family for a few weeks starting immediately.

Our daughter is 5 and at school and our son is 2yrs old and very friendly. We are interested in a volunteer who can play with our son in the garden or read him books while I (his mum) get on with devorating the house, and/or to take part in some decorating yourself IF you have the experience. If you are from outside Europe you need to make sure you have a working visa.

I speak French, Spanish, German and English, my husband only English. Our daughter will ta... more inside
