Please visit amararetreat.com.au for more information on the property.

I am looking for helpers who are willing to work 6 hours a day for accommodation. You will need to supply your own food, but you do get to live in one of the gorgeous cabins on the property, which normally rent out for $170 per night. The work days are Monday-Thursday from 7 - 1 pm. You will also be able to use the pool and the yoga centre as long as there is no Retreat booked in. At this stage we only take in helpers for 6 nights at a time. Therefore you work 4 days and get 2 days off. We only take in on a Sunday with departure on the following Saturday. You will need to clean your cabin before departure.

If you are a couple then you will have a cabin all to yourselves. If you are a single person you may be sharing a cabin with another ... more inside

Our solar-powered home is set in the rainforest of Mount Glorious, 45 minutes from Brisbane. We are a couple with three children (13, 18 and 21 years).
We embrace a philosophy of sustainability and building resilient communities and households, with a focus on practical skills.
Erika is a midwife working part time in Brisbane. Bruce is an activist and craftsman, working in bush timber work, traditional hand tool woodwork, and blacksmithing with charcoal made from our forest. We build and repair bicycles and electric bicycles (our son is a bike mechanic).
We have a long history of sharing our home with visitors from many places. We enjoy learning about other people and the places they come from.
Our living space is busy with projects, study and housework all day.

Our home is not a place for visitors who depend on frequent access to phones, screens or internet. We discourage screen use in our living area: this is an opportunity to connect with a real things and the natural... more inside

We are certified quail egg producers , we practise sustainabilty and and eco friendly living for the animals.
We have a large solar farm which helps offset power usage.
Our beautiful horses love humans and we have a natural creek for fishing and water activities (which is looking beautiful).
There is wildlife aplenty with Koalas, Kangaroos, Deer and an array of bird species both seasonal and resident.
The farm is only 10mins from Toogoolawah township with Pubs, dinning and supplies available. We often go into town and are happy to take you with us.
Right now is baby season as all our animals have offspring. A wonderful time to kiss and cuddle the babies if you are an animal lover.

Hi we live super close to Brisbane city, the river and are surrounded by parklands. Train and buses outside the door or a short walk. We ride our bikes everywhere as it is all so close. We are renovating our home and have lots still to do. We prefer people with skills in painting, plastering, landscaping or carpentry. People looking for paid work are welcome you will have plenty of time to job search or just be a tourist. You can help us out in a flexible routine adding up to 4hours work a day for a bed. We are very used to sharing our home and have had visitors from all over the world for nearly 20 years. We are a fit, healthy couple who don't smoke. We get lots of visits from our sons who are in their 20's and happy to show you around the city.

We are a family of four on a beef producing property in a rural area (aprrox 2-3 hours from Bundaberg and 30 mins from local town, Monto). This farm includes 14 work dogs, 20 horses and approx 250 cattle. I have a small horse business that includes trick riding, liberty, campdrafting horses. With this I also have 'breakers' (starting young horses) and I am looking for someone who is willing to ride my older horses out with me on the young horses and can also help with the mustering and other jobs around the property. NON-SMOKER PLEASE. This will include full days of work and must have previous experience with horses and be confident with handling horses. You will be included in family activities (your choice). You must be able to tolerate kids because we often have children around. Minimum three weeks.
