Looking for helpers from July 20th! Especially need help during August.

Based on the edge of dartmoor national park, we're a bus ride from Exeter. Our village has a pub and a small shop (in the pub) within walking distance of the farm.

Although we're not certified organic we farm by the same principles. We grow veg/fruit/flowers and raise pork. We keep goats and ducks because we love to have them around and use eggs/make cheese etc.

We're a group of 4 adults (and two toddlers) in our mid 30's who live and work together.

We're looking for help from May - September time. The work is predominantly needed on the veg field, weeding, planting, harvesting, eating surplus, but there's always plenty to do on the farm too! We run a small campsite in August so if you come during that time we'd also need help sprucing bell tents and what not.

We'd expect 6 hours of work per day for 5 days a week. Food is provided and there would be occasional meals together, but predominantly foo... more inside

I run a B&B from a 16 acre smallholding in a rural part of Devon.

I'm looking for 2 friends/couple (to start asap) who could help in the maintenance of the property - diy, carpentry, painting and decorating, log cutting, gardening skills as well as assisting in the preparation for my daughter's forthcoming wedding.

If you have experience/enjoy the above and are non-smokers and tidy I would love to hear from you.

You would be staying in your own private recently converted studio which consists of a small combined kitchenette / lounge and bedroom with ensuite so can have your own privacy. It is in a quiet, very rural, area of Devon with lovely views.

I am Liz and my partner is Grahame. We are in our 60s/70s and have a big family who visit every so often...not all at once!
We live on a small farm where Grahame breeds race horses on the England/Wales borders.
We grow our own veggies, flowers and plant lots of trees.
We have a small lake and a woodland with a caravan for bird watching and a possible camping place.

We live amicably apart! Grahame lives in the main farmhouse and Liz lives in a converted Barn just across the yard. There is a room in the house available for Helpx volunteers.

I do some teaching and run a small business selling books from home. I also am interested in music, art and crafts. There are opportunities to paint, draw, weave willow, cook, knit, spin or sew and make music around the fire in the evenings!
There's always lots to do and we can always use help.As Spring approaches and the days are getting warmer and longer we need people who like working outside in all weather conditions.
We have done a... more inside

This is an inspiring eco venue and self catering holiday cottages in the beauty of the Cambrian Mountains near Machynlleth, Mid Wales. A hideaway that's also accessible.

We have a farmhouse and four barns. One barn is converted into a stunning meeting/ workshop space & private cinema; two stone barns are now beautiful cottages filled with light, beams, high ceilings and natural materials - including oak floors and furniture, exposed stone, traditional lime plaster etc.

Our Summerhouse Cabin is a precious quiet space, which I often live when the Farmhouse is welcoming guests: I have actually been staying in the Summerhouse since before Easter! When guests are not in the Farmhouse, I spend time there too - including in my study.

The magical land includes two pretty meadows and a dingle, with deep cut streams, tall oak trees and a pond. We have a tipi and stone circle with fire pit, a polytunnel, and plenty of spaces to sit for personal quiet time or conversation.

We alway... more inside

We are a friendly family living in a small town on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District. There are direct transport connections (bus and rail) to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.
We have a large garden in need of a lot of care and attention. We are looking for an enthusiastic hard working gardener who would enjoy the challenge of bringing our garden back to life. The garden is more overgrown than in the pictures.
We live in a large 4 bedroom house built in the 1850s which is in need of maintenance, repair, plastering and decorating.
Occasional cleaning / cooking.
We can offer a bedroom, shared bathrooms, free wifi and meals in exchange for an average of 4-5 hours work a day for five days a week. Two free days per week - to stay or free to travel.
References will be needed.
Any nationality accepted, but French, German or Spanish speakers would be particularly welcome to exchange language skills with our sons.
We can also offer table football, use of a piano and plenty of b... more inside

I am situated in beautiful countryside. The household currently exists of myself and a lodger, I also sometimes offer B&B. happy to give you delicious food and a bed in exchange. free WiFi. The surrounding area is beautiful countryside with tidal rivers.

This is a rural setting but on fast frequent train and bus routes to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. I have only just joined HX but been hosting on CS for years and you may get a better idea of me both as an individual and as a host, see my website link above.

I have just moved from Edinburgh to a former farmhouse outside Edinburgh sort of halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. As of this morning I have not yet updated my CS profile to reflect this. Too busy with unpacking cleaning and all the things I have to do now I am here and for the next many months. Hence my joining HelpX

I am looking for some light help cleaning organising outside help. planting etc and even some admin or web research work if it suits

I have no fixed views on how long you can come for 2 or 3 days or longer. Even had CS who came to my last place for 2 days and stayed 2 months

Might suit someone looking fr a central but rural setting to explore Glasgow Edinburghgh and Scotland and or some... more inside
