I live in the centre of Thames in a small two bedroom house. Helpers usually sleep in the garden studio which is a great space and gives us both some privacy as well as some togetherness. You can help in the house and garden, and if you can cook the occasional meal even better.

We are nearing the end of our honey harvest and extracting for the season, then we re-queen hives and make sure they are well-fed for winter. So there is beekeeping to help with here, as well as all the other chores that come with rural living, such as feeding animals(just birds here), weeding, firewood, cleaning and maintenance.

Who we are and what we do;
We are a middle aged couple (50+) that run a beekeeping business alongside two kiwifruit orchards.
We live off the grid (solar power) in an earthbrick house with all natural timbers inside.{although not finished yet, still working on that too}.Our shower is outside. Water is heated by the woodstove in the house. Accommodation for helpers is in a caravan. It is comfortable but can get cold in the winter as there is no heating in there. Our home is eco-friendly and we garden organically, except for the kiwifruit orchards which are 3 km away from where we live. We have a lot of different fruit trees and try to grow some vegetable... more inside

We are a small farm running to permaculture principles. We have a self built strawbale home and an ongoing interest in alternative building.

Animals on the farm include: cows including a house cow, sheep, chickens and donkeys. We also have vegetable gardens of various styles and we experiment with different ways to make the most of the poor soils here. We make many things for ourselves including: preserves, smoothies, cheese, soap, furniture, sewing and building. We are in a beautiful area next to the Coromandel Forest Park and the Te Mata river that has many swimming holes.
We prefer helpers with a genuine interest in permaculture/organic farming.

Hello!

We're Mike & Amy (and we have a 5yr old boy, Jai) and we've got a beautiful bit of land in Kuaotunu in a valley of native bush... you will have your own private cabin that has 2 beds and a small kitchen etc (with a compost toilet and shower just outside and a wood stove that heats the hot water - hopefully we'll have a gas califont soon though!)
We live next door in our yurt and small house.

We're 5 minutes from a beautiful beach and Kuaotunu village & Lukes Cafe (the best pizza and local beer)... with a private waterfall and kiwi's nearby... it's paradise!

We're offering free accommodation in return for helping out with building and gardening etc. We might need a bit of babysitting sometimes too but only for anyone staying a while who has experience with kids.

We can host 3 people max, preferably couples or guys who are clean and tidy :)

This is accommodation only, not meals - we're vegan and happy to share meals sometimes but we're often out too!

Introducing ourselves to you, Chris and Glenda . Living in the most beautiful place along with occasional adult children , 2 dogs,2 cats , 14 hens, 16 Arapawa sheep, 8 goats and 2 cows .

Trying our best to be self sufficient .

We have previously had WWOOFA workers on our lifestyle block to help us with our revegetation of native bush project which is ongoing.

Our main works involve weeding gardens and preparing land for planting trees. Plant the trees ( we plan to put in 1000's of Manuka Trees). Some fencing help be great .

Some animal husbandry ie: helping give the goats a pedicure .

Bush walks, magnificent views across the Coromandel Ranges , peaceful and tranquil. Plenty of local attractions. 30 minutes from Karangahake Gorge, 40 minutes to Waihi , 90 minutes to Tauranga.

The first photo shows the view from our land.
