Hi,
We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children (aged 5, 7, 10 and 12 years old).
I also have a small seasonal flower farm on leased land across the road from our house.
I have lots of general gardening at the moment including weeding, pruning and clean up from last season and generally tidying up the flower farm. As it is winter and we can get a lot of rain - wet day jobs are inside doing cleaning, cooking and helping with kids.
We have a large spare room for our helpx which would suit an individual or couple.
We enjoy meeting new people and think it is great for our children to interact with people from all cultures.
We are on the very edge of Hamilton but still walking distance to shops. We are close to the famous Hamilton Gardens and central for day trips to Hobbiton, Raglan etc.
We would love to hear from you

Looking for: Home Helper & Play Buddy

We are a relaxed kiwi family of four, where both parents (Ray and Kelly) are dairy farmers. We have two incredibly sweet kids Kaedyn (6yr boy) and Jade (4yr girl), who love company and are happy to just play outdoors or indoor games with you.

We are looking for someone to help us out either short-term (a few weeks) or long-term. It will be best if you can commit to 4 months, but we are open to shorter time periods as well!

The nature of dairy farming is that milking sessions occur in the mornings and afternoons for a few hours each time, but we will come back in between both sessions. Your main role will be helping the kids get ready for school in the mornings while Ray and I milk the cows and rear calves, and playing with them in the afternoons while we work again. It will be about 4-5 hours a day, so you have a lot of free time to do your own things too. If you can help with simple housekeeping and meal preparation sometimes, it will... more inside
