We are looking for a person or two - to help us with outdoor jobs such as clearing, planting natives and helping out with outside odd jobs for a week or two.

We live approximately 15 minutes out of Russell township. Our beautiful farm has been lovingly developed by the previous owners with 20 per cent of the farm covered in native forest. we are a easy going whanau/family with 2 beautiful children. We are developing the farm as a life style block to make as self sufficient as possible. Our property also has stunning panoramic view across the whole Bay of Islands with local beaches in close proximity.

We're a family of four living on a beautiful property with stunning views overlooking Whangaroa Harbour in the Far North of New Zealand. We have a small and simple off-grid set up, and live surrounded by native bush.

We are building an earth and straw bale roundhouse this year, so have plenty of work that needs to be done! It will be made from mainly natural, local materials as well as salvaged and recycled items. As of November 2019 we have completed the basic frame and reciprocal roof for the roundhouse, and we now need help in the next stage of the build. This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to learn about natural building!

In return for 4 hours work per person per day, we'll provide a room with FANTASTIC views, along with 3 meals a day of great home cooked vegetarian food, including fresh organic eggs from our own chickens and veggies from the garden. You're welcome to cook your own non-veggie food in our kitchen if you wish. We also have Wifi.

My house is a pretty funky style house about 3 kms from Kerikeri centre, in a very nice setting. There are many hiking trails beaches and scenery to explore in this area.I expect 3 and a half to 4 hours a day of work from the helpers.Iím looking forward to meeting new helpx travellers as Spring / Summer is on its way and I need gardening help !I have recently had 2 sets of wonderful young French couple here who greatly assisted me with odd jobs inside and outside and now as the weather warms the garden needs more attention.I like helpers to stay from a few days to a week and itís mostly to help in the garden, clearing land, planting trees and possibly some house maintenance jobs , if the weather keeps us inside.
I am also a member of a great organic community garden ,which is where we get all our veggies and helpers will enjoy seeing how it operates and come along with me on Monday mornings and we return with the weekís vegetables. I provide 3 meals a day which are not always ve... more inside

We are vegetarian and ideally looking for helpers in their mid twenties onwards.. with some life experience and get up and go. The accommodation is a bedroom with two single beds. Hi, we're after a couple or two friends to help with various jobs around the place. We're in the process of renovating a building to move our brewery into and to set up a tap room. Must be self motivated and have own transport.
You will be staying in our house in a nice double room with expansive views. We have a pool which you can use.
For 4 hours work each person per day we will provide breakfast, lunch and evening meal and accommodation.
Some work will be working alongside us and other work will be on your own. We are pretty flexible with hours. Eg. you can work more hours some days and have other days off to check out the beautiful Far North.

Drop us a line if you're keen.
Cheers
Rob and Caroline

I have a lovely 3 bedroom cottage in Kawakawa, Bay of Islands. I am looking for a single person or a couple to help me in the garden and clean out my garage, which is a mess I'm afraid after some renovations! I would like some help with light house work also. I would appreciate someone with experience with gardening, able to mow a lawn and do some weeding. In return for 4-5 hours a day and days off to explore the area, I will provide a very comfortable bed, plenty of great food and unlimited wifi. I am an easy walk to supermarket, library, post office, shops and cafe. And a short drive to lovely walks, beaches, restaurants and cafes. Must like cats!

We are Maureen and Steve. We have a small hobby farm close to Whangaroa Harbour. We have a cat, chickens and sheep in addition to a large garden, a recently planted orchard and grounds that we are developing.

We use sprays and chemicals sparingly. We are also caretakers of a magnificent bush remnant that we have started doing pest control in.

We are looking for helpers to do a variety of tasks on our small holding. These tasks would include working in our organic gardens, small building projects, landscaping, general maintenance work, caring for animals and pest control.

Our preference is for couples or independent singles as you may often be working by yourself/ves. We prefer those who can stay for a week minimum. During Labour weekend (26 - 28 October) you would have the weekend free but would be expected to feed yourselves.

You have your own space whilst you are here. 3 rustic ex Department of Conservation cabins serve as very comfortable and welcoming accomm... more inside
