Our mainland island used to be a large sheep station but we have now let it go back to nature. A major activity apart from our conservation work is catering for visitors who come to get closer to nature in a wild and beautiful place. Work can be looking after those guests, helping with correspondence schooling, home duties or firewood collection, maintaining our track system and other infrastructure, depending on the season.

If you are a experienced caring teacher that is willing to help two reluctant readers to make progress with their school work please get in touch!

We live on a high country station 1 and 1/2 hours from Blenheim. We run merino sheep and cattle. We are looking for somebody to help around the house and doing jobs around the farm and to help look after our two boys aged 12 and 10 at busy times. They do their school at home by correspondence and are very independent but we are looking for someone with enthusiasm that can get along with these outdoors boys.

Own car would be a big help. We would also prefer if you could stay for a week or more. There is heaps of country to explore here and would suit people that are keen on walking, running or mountain biking.

We have a 2.5Ha vineyard growing sauvignon blanc. There is varied work, from bud-rubbing - to wire lifting. Currently we are about to put on bird netting.
Its a lovely little vineyard and previous Helpx travellers have enjoyed staying with us.
We like hosting HelpX workers and appreciate the help on our land.
We are just 15 minutes drive from Blenheim and adjacent to the wine district - so there's plenty to do and see. It's helpful to have your own car.
There's some great hikes close by and the Wairau River is a favourite place to swim and walk the dogs on a hot day.
We look forward to meeting new people.

Cheers
Philippa

We live close to the center of Blenheim in a lovely old villa which has been completely redecorated. The website is for the Bed and Breakfast and you would stay in one of these rooms. We generally have gardening and other household chores to do and we expect 5 hours per day in exchange for your food and accommodation. We also have a holiday home in the Marlborough Sounds. We prefer couples as we have a range of jobs suitable for men and women. Singles OK too:) We seek people who are motivated & self managing. We try for a balance of work and fun.
