Kia ora,

We are available to host NOW up 22 August, a warm house awaits you even just for a few days!
We enjoy a wonderful sunny location with gorgeous sea views just 7km from central Nelson, a very popular region for travellers with the Abel Tasman just over an hour away.
You can ride the bicycle trail into town which takes about 20 minutes or else a bus stop not far away or even better if you have your own transport. We designed and built our home, constructed from Adobe Blocks which is a sustainable method of building using local materials such as clay and straw, it keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coldest. Mostly there is just the two of us and our cat, we both work so weekend starts are our usually our preference for up to one week Helpxing or more if it suits. We ask 4 hours per day but are flexible for longer days and then take a day or two off to explore the region. We have a few projects on the go such as revamping our large garden which ha... more inside

Hello,

We are a young couple, one European and one original Kiwi. We own a beautiful house in a sunny hill location with a big garden. The house is within walking distance to the city center (5 minutes by bike.)
We provide a self serve breakfast for you and eat dinner together in the evening if it suits you, otherwise there will always be something in the fridge. We eat mainly vegetarian, but not solely, so happy to cater for both tastes.
We can offer a nice room with a queensize bed and can provide an airbed in addition if needed. So we can host individuals, couples or two friends who want to come and stay together.
There is unlimited, fast WiFi.
We are happy to provide bicycles and directions for exploring the beautiful area.

The main work available is landscaping and gardening, since there is lots to get tidied up coming to spring. So it would be good if you would be comfortable witht that, and there is always odd jobs in and around the house.

We are looking forward... more inside

We love to share our abundant region with anyone passing through. Our home has 2 parts so you can be as interactive as you want to be and you can have your own space. There are plenty of options of how you might like to contribute from home activites to land, farm and animals. If you love to cook we would enjoy that or contributions to growing and harvesting food; working with sheep, calves or cows; projects and maintenance. In September October we also harvest and pack asparagus so any support with that is welcome.

We are approximately 7 km from Motueka en route to Takaka and Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman National Park. We have bikes if you wish to cycle the Great Taste Trail.
