We are now located in Somerville, approximately 1 hour 20 minutes by train or 1 hour 30 minutes by car from central Melbourne. Somerville is south of the CBD on the Mornington Peninsula and is a small town with modern facilities. Our home is in a quiet location close to the township. It is spacious, modern and comfortable with excellent facilities including a solar heated swimming pool. We offer meals and a private comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed and access to a seperate spa bathroom. i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i kinda prefer it now.
I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends..
In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc..
I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, etc etc...;
Business combining most of the above, ;) ..
The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind.

I do not drink or smoke and i prefer vegetarian food but still i m pretty flexible..
During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festivals around Australia and we run some fun projects like a Live Jamming/Chill Space, e... more inside

We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. I live in beautiful, East Gippsland, Victoria, in the small town of Swifts Creek, up in the Victorian Alps, kind of halfway between Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
(Melbourne is 4 to 5 hours away by car, longer by bus. Canberra likewise. Sydney is about 8 by car, longer by bus.)
Swifts Creek is perched high in the Alps, and we get snow occasionally.... I love driving up to the mountain resorts and seeing the glorious views.
Swifts Creek is close to the mountains, national parks, walking and bike tracks, and caves. It truly is a glorious little place. We are driving distance to some other beautiful areas.
I can drive us to visit places, and there are some buses.
I moved here in early 2016, as local minister/priest/trained social worker/community development worker, but a large part of my work is as a comunity development worker in some remote mountainous villages ... Again, in beautiful country.
Having recently been through terrible drought here, and now fires, I am commit... more inside

**** Updated 17 March 2020****

Looking for a new helpXer to host.

I`m a single mum with 8 y.o. twins and I`m looking for somebody to help me around the house and yard and kids.

Some of the jobs include helping feed and look after the animals, weeding the garden and mowing the lawn (with the ride on mower).

I'd also love some help cooking - don't worry if you don't have heaps of experience, I have recipes and it's pretty simple things.

We live 50 minutes from Melbourne city by train just outside of town and close to the station (17 minutes walk or you can borrow a bike) so you can easily access the city.

We are on 2 acres and we are regularly visited by kangaroos in the front yard or back paddock. We also have 2 Jack Russells, hens and a rabbit so looking for somebody who loves all kinds of animals.

4-5 hours per day in exchange for full board (including all meals).

I look forward to hearing from you.

cheers,
Carolyn

We are a family of four, Simon, Josie and our two boys. We are situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley, with views over the mountains. On our farm we grow a wide range of bio-dynamic fruit, nuts and veg including chestnuts, walnuts, nashis, avocados, strawberries, free range eggs and a mixed home orchard and vegetable garden. We are in the process of designing and developing the property at the moment.

We are currently building our farm shed (out of recycled materials) so will need help framing, cladding, and building barn doors. We are concentrating on cleaning up the property (clearing blackberry) and deer proof fencing our boundary. We need odd jobs done around the house, the home garden and home orchard. We are also continually collecting and storing fire wood. We are preparing areas for berry production. We have just planted avocado trees that need to be mulched and watered. Strawberry plants are producing now and we will need to pick and pack. We have 200 chickens (who are ... more inside
