We're a busy, active family living on Victoria's famous Surf Coast - the gateway to the Great Ocean Road, 10 minutes from Bells Beach and 20 minutes from Torquay. Our house is modest and comfortable in quiet bushy area of Anglesea. Its just 10 minutes walk to Anglesea's stunning beaches. Half hour walk along a stunning beach or beach track into town and cafes.
We'd love some help all year round with walking our happy dog, some gardening jobs, preserving over summer and basic household bits and pieces. A few hours per day would be so welcome. We are lucky to have a constant supply of organic homegrown fruit veggies and tend to eat healthy, home cooked, simple meals. You are welcome to enjoy the abundance and we have years of preserving and bottling experience we'd love to pass on.
When you're done, you can grab one of the bikes and ride the MTB tracks, go for a stunning bush/beach walk or grab one of the boards and try your hand at surfing or just chill on the beach with a boo... more inside

My interests are in living simply, natural health, making food from weeds in my garden, food preserving, crafts such as pottery, soap making etc. Also Norse mythology and working with Runes.

Projects as at October 2019 are creating a frog pond / chicken run / fish pond / organising wood / building a studio.

We run a wholesale indigenous plant nursery set on a beautiful 50 acre bush block 10 min drive from the 90 mile beach. We are an easy going family, we have 2 young boys (4 and 2 years old - so, if you don't like kids, please do not apply) and three slightly crazy but friendly dogs living in a peaceful place with many native animals.
We have only one spare bedroom; it has a queen size bed, so ideal for couples or a single person stay. You also have your own bathroom and toilet.
We live in a comfortable house, where you'll have privacy and space, but you are welcome to join us in the living room whenever you like, to have meals, or socialise. We have lots of movies, video games, musical instruments and artistic endeavors to enjoy. Mobile reception is available.
Most of the work is generally nursery related - transplanting plants, sorting and general maintenance, but occasionally, some household duties too.
You'll be asked to work 4-5 hours a day in exchange for main meals and a... more inside

We live in Mallacoota, on the south east coast and one of the most beautiful places in Australia. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park with the ocean, lakes and beaches at our doorstep. We are 3kms from the centre of town and 4km from the nearest beach. There are about 7 magnificent beaches within 10kms from us BUT be warned, Mallacoota is 540kms from Melbourne, 630kms from Sydney and 360kms from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule.

Our family includes Mark, cCate and our three daughters, who are 16, 14 and 12 years old. There are also a dog, a cat, 3 horses, 3 ducks, a rooster and 24 chickens (we sell the eggs locally). Kangaroos visit our property daily and koalas occasionally. Some of the parrots are now so tame at our bird feeder they can be hand fed.

Our 3.5-hectare property needs tidying, cleaning, and minor repairs. Work includes animal care, gardening, and helpi... more inside

We are a 28yo couple, our 4 year old daughter and Mia the dog. We live in a leafy suburb of Melbourne and are looking for a single female to do some light chores and child care for our daughter, 3 days per week (around 20hrs). The room we have is quite large, which means you will have your own space to lounge with a private bathroom and toilet. Childcare experience is a must and we would ideally like people to stay with us for 3+ weeks (so our daughter has time to adapt). We regularly camp in the beautiful country of Victoria, we love cooking, playing sport, making music and drinking the odd glass of wine ;) We are 40 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD and around 50 minutes to the beaches of Mornington Peninsula. We have been helpers through this site and honestly didn't have a great experience, so enjoy taking the opportunity to give a good experience to anybody we meet through HelpX. In exchange, we offer two (mainly vegetarian) meals per day and many fun adventures! Currently we ar... more inside
