Julatten is renowned amongst bird-watchers worldwide and in particular for Mt Lewis National Park where all 13 Wet Tropics endemic bird species can be found. Taking Mt Molloy township as a central point, there is just over 300 bird species including all 13 Wet Tropics endemics have been recorded within a 15km radius of the town. No other region in Australia can boast this, not even Kakadu!

This is a small rural property opposite the birdwatchers lodge.
Port Douglas is 45 min away, Mossman with its famous Mossman Gorge 30 min.

I am in a 2 bedroom cottage that is over 100 years old. It is mostly renovated and with 2 verandahs relatively spacious but also intimate.

This home is perfect if you are interested in nature, spirituality and personal growth. I have been a yoga and meditation teacher and healer for 30 years and work as a women's empowerment coach, helping women find and live their Soul's calling online world wide.

Our very friendly home is a lovely old traditional timber Queenslander full of character set on 1 and 1/2 acres of a bush block, high on a ridge. We are centrally located between the beach and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

The nearby town of Nambour is on the train line linking Brisbane north to Cairns. We are about 1 to 1 and a half hours north of Brisbane by car.Train a little longer.

It's a very quiet and peaceful place, surrounded by bush and gardens with lots of bird life. Opposite is a bushland reserve with walking tracks to the nearby town.

The household is Buddhist orientated and lead healthy, creative and flexible lives.

Amongst other things we are interested in Art, Marimbas, Yoga, Meditating, Ayurvedic Massage and lifestyle, Enneagrams, Travelling, Writing, Social Justice,Animal Welfare, Permaculture and Sustainable Living.

Okay...I am ready to start again in a more low key aspect. So lets get going together.

You will be the only helper/s during your stay. There is 6 of us in this 3 generations of family. Theo has been with us for a year since August 2019 and the last 6 weeks with a delightful French couple.

I am seeking practical minded experienced people with an idea how to do renovation /repairs/ maintenance......It is time to start some major projects such as bathrooms etc. Most of which will be done by professionals. This is now the time to re-organise everything back into some sort of order. There is still the topcoat of interior painting to be done. Sanding of doors and varnishing. And a myriad of renovating jobs to be done and lots of those little tinkering and tidying, maintenance and gardening aspects of having a big house with a big family.

Even basic skills in carpentry, woodworking, sanding and painting, general repairing. I can advise how to do things, but I need to ... more inside

located on the edge of the Daintree National Park, 25km north of Mossman and 5km south of the turnoff to Cape Tribulation. Wonga Beach is about a 35min walk and Mossman is about a 15min drive (we drive into town each morning for anyone wishing to venture in).
Set on 4.5 hectares (10 acres) of tropical gardens and comprises several guest BnB style accommodation rooms (including a large pool)

Volunteers typically assist with daily gardening, painting, light construction work and at times, assisting with the preparation of the accommodation rooms. On the farm at Ravenshoe we have goats and cows and a great creek to swim in. We would love to hear from people who can work with their hands to help with these projects. Work exchange needed here helping a farming couple in their 50's potting around doing interesting projects & everyday farm stuff.
Everything here is pretty laid back & you'll become part of our family while you are here. Longer stayers preferred especially due to Covid. We have lots of projects on the go from building stone gateways to house renovations, gardening, property maintenance, animal care, housework, weed control in our protected 'Land For Wildlife' area, whatever we are doing at the time. Two days off each week. We are the opposite of the slave-driving factory farms. We have accom suitable for a couple and/or a single. Its helpful if you are in QLD seeing the uncertainty around State boarders & lockdowns at present. We have been hosting since 1998 and joined Helpx a few years ago. We're grateful to say we've had some really exceptional visitors from many countries. We are lucky to have a beautiful farm, our property is 14 acres in the hinterland of the Gold Coast, j... more inside

Accommodation only ( some foraging on the property is fine) in return for 2 hours help per person per day.

Small property on the Atherton Tablelands near Malanda.Less than 1.5 hours from Cairns. With the the help of others I planted a food forest almost 3 years ago. I have suffered some setbacks and it hasn't all gone as planned. Much of the work has gone undone due to these unforeseen circumstances. I won't give up though. I am seeking helper assistance to weed, whipper snip, plant trees, start seedlings, do repairs, painting and other general hobby farm work. No income is derived from the property . In addition to the immature fruit forest, the property has an established small citrus orchard, vegetable gardens, a hugel bed and I plan to add wicking beds and aquaponics at some stage in the future. There is potential to learn lots of new skills.

You will need to have your own transport. 6 minutes drive to shops,20 minutes to major shopping chains.
