Vacancy from NOW!!..... due to late cancellation. We have space from 12Feb to 24 March - moderately urgent (pretty please)
We need animal friendly (preferably rabies vaccinated but not compulsory; bloody government, stupid and pointless, regulations with regard to Flying Foxes) volunteers willing to pitch in for just about anything required to maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the wildlife enclosures.

Our needs are for general handyperson - or anyone who wants to help with `casual` labour plus the animal care......
The rainforest is a difficult environment, it is for the adventurous. Please – we only ask for resilient people who are ‘into’ the environment and wildlife. It does require commitment, compassion and a sense-of-humour – EVERY DAY!
PS: Please like cleaning (sweeping and washing down floors) – our animals need care.

From our recent experience with helpers, most say they should have organised to stay longer than 7-10 days

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland.

We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc.

Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things.

Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket ... more inside

Gday Funseekers! Easy-goin Fun-luvin Canadian dude seeks like-minded to share in mountain biking, walking, 4x4, flying (small aircraft lands on beach!), boating or kayaking adventures at Fraser Island, Utopia (mountain rock pools- see photos), Great Sandy Straits (whale watching, boating, fishing) and surrounds. I`ve worked as a Ranger-guide on Fraser for many years with Kingfisher with extensive experience touring there (you can`t bike everywhere as 4x4 tracks too soft to ride - continuously torn up by 4x4s). We are in no rush in our fun-seeking and the tour is fantastic! Far better than 4x4 coaches I drove there! I love the island & surrounding area & would love to share it with you! Come enjoy it as mother nature intended with environmentally sensitive biking, hiking, fishing, or boating (wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, crabbing, spear fishing) tours to suit. Or if ya don`t have much time, I can be convinced into piling into one of my 4x4 vans (seats 8).

I have 8 extra bikes (c... more inside

This is a working sheep and cattle farm located in Queensland's Outback region. The farm is owned and managed by the Hobbs family.

The farm involves sheep and cattle work such as mustering (herding on motorbikes), fencing, driving tractors and other stock work.

We have had many travellers stay and work on the farm from a wide range of countries. Whilst the work is new to most travellers it provides an opportunity to learn new skills and to gain a unique experience of a working Outback Station.

As the farm involves learning new skills we recommend travelers to stay a minimum of one month so that they have the opportunity to experience a range of activities most visitor end up staying for 3 to 4 months. We are located in rural Australia.

We are happy to invite up to 1 or 2 travelers at a time and are happy to vary the type of work depending on what our travellers are interested in.
