I have recently returned home to the family farm and need your help:) Come and have a wonderful summer on our farm.
We have 50 acres of grassland with 2 jersey house cows. A small herd of shorthorn beef cows and wiltshire horn sheep. We have a couple of glouceser old spot pigs, some chickens and a veg patch. The farm is highly diversified with craft/artists workshops, a campsite, a cafe, and a river swimming club. We have a small school on site and we do lots of farm education with school trips and also a regular farm school.
There is also 150 acres of conventional arable land that I am managing under countryside stewardship with an aim to encourage wild pollinators, bats and birds.
Volunteers would be expected to work 25 hours a week and stay at least 2 months. Jobs can vary and can include gardening, working in the tearoom and on the coffee van, collecting subs at the river swimming club, looking after the campsite, and working with school groups. Depending on your experience y... more inside

Hi.
We run a busy pub in the Cotswolds just outside Stroud. We have a lot of events here, and music a few times a week, we have a sweet garden area which is in need of love and constant care. Looking for one or two people to come and stay while enjoying the area for a couple of weeks or so. Work involves gardening, planting, painting and some general decor as well as cleaning.
Friendly family set up, we have six children but only one at home at the moment. You will be well fed and watered and be part of the family. We eat as a family, often with friends and staff and am happy to cater for most food types, although. Nut allergy’s could prove a problem.
We are just outside Stroud on the edge of the beautiful Rodborough Common, and close to Bath, Bristol with Oxford, Birmingham and London not far away.
There are many walks, great bike rides and art and entertainment locally.
We are quite well connected to the national rail line from The town less than a mile away.

Helloooo helpers!!!! Ignore Brexit and come to England !!! If you are looking for an adventure and to have some FUN we would love you to join us. We are building a barn(see Facebook link). Most of the external building work will be done so finishing inside and doing fencing work etc will be needed. You don't have to have building experience but just a desire to learn and help. The work is quite physical and we will be outdoors !! You must like animals and be ready to join in with walking the dogs and grooming the horses if you would like to.

We enjoy teaching ENGLISH and seeing our HelpX improve. We give you lots of help and time to study.

We (Glen, Steve and grown up daughter Holly) live in the beautiful Fens in rural Cambridgeshire. We take you on trips to the seaside, Cambridge, Boston and all the beautiful places near us. Some English, but wanting to improve would be aLots of help given. It is very quiet here so you do need to enjoy the quiet life.

We also need help... more inside

Looking for somebody to start immediately !!

My 2 children (age 17 & 18), 12 chickens & I live in a 5 bedroom house (building site) with a large garden & lovely views. We need someone to help with the weeding and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not. If you have any skills in painting & decorating, we could really use them right now. In return you'll have your own room, TV and WiFi and be well fed as we love cooking and baking!

You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome; if there are more people, please still get in touch.

Working hours would be around 4-5 hours a day, 6 days a week but this is very negotiable. Work will usually be alone unless it is the school holidays, weekend or after my wor... more inside

We're an environmental education project located in the Forest of Dean that provides a space for people to connect with nature and learn more about it. We provide fantastic opportunities for volunteers to take their own initiative, be creative and learn more about community living and our impact on the environment, as well as taking personal introspective time to listen to our own inner landscapes.

We are currently looking for long term people who are interested in being a part of a live-in community and the EarthHeart vision. For people who want to be engaged in meaningful work and be a part of the change so many of us feel passionate to see happen. EarthHeart provides this as well as a space / context for people to develop their own passions and gifts to the world. In this regard there is opportunity to create extra income for yourself and develop your own purpose and business. We are looking for people who can take initiative and are creative, want to be a part of a community ... more inside

We are very lucky to live on a farm in the beautiful Lake District, just on the edge of the National Park in Cumbria; the farm dates back to the late 1600's. Over the years parts of it have been renovated and added to and some parts are looking a little sorry for themselves! My mother, myself, my sister and my 7yr old nephew live and work on the farm running a small bed & breakfast business and a successful Friesian horse equestrian centre. We have big plans for the place in the future, however for now we could do with a little help with day-to-day living.

We are on the outskirts of the lovely village of Cartmel which is home to a small racecourse, several very good restaurants and it is famous for it's Sticky Toffee Pudding. You can walk into the village from the farm in just under 20 minutes and there is a local grocery store and several pubs where you can meet friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. The nearest town is Kendal which is about a 20 minute drive away... more inside
