We have a five bedroom farmhouse on 7 acres of land in the heart of the garden of Ireland. It's beautiful and surrounded by stunning views of the countryside (the sunsets are to die for). The land here is rich with sacred sites and wild walks.
The garden itself is about an acre with a further 6 acres as paddocks/meadow. We need folk for weeding, prunning, planting, mowing, leaf collecting (for mulch in autumn), chainsawing, chopping wood and various other jobs on the land (such as making a nettle compost pit, building a larger compost area, herb collecting and drying etc), general tidying around the land and stables.
Things to do in and around the house include painting, making herbal tinctures and balms, baking sourdough, kombucha brewing and other fruit and flower brews depending on the time of year..
This summer we would like to make an outdoor clay oven, creating an outdoor eating area (the roof timbers are rotten and need replacing and decking needs to be put down), putting... more inside

WE ARE NOW FULL FOR JULY & AUGUST

We are a very relaxed couple who prefer people who have a little life experience. Preferable those who have lived away from home.
We really enjoy HelpX; each year we have a tasks we want to complete, so we really like help getting these done.
We are very happy passing on the experience of growing and preserving foods that has been grown organically; and what we have learned over the years who have stayed with us.
We really like people who can work unsupervised; & with the ethos, if they see a task needing to be done, to go ahead and do it. We want people to gain as much experience as possible in a productive & positive way.

Our place consists of 1.5 acre smallholding in West Cork close to the sea, mountains, lakes and woods; in one of the most scenic areas of Ireland.

Our land is put to mixed use; which includes orchard's, raised vegetable beds and poly-tunnel's to grow as much of our own food as possible. With the rest of our food l... more inside

hi! I need help with landscaping and maintenance jobs on the land and in the Magic Forest project, making firewood and sometimes building jobs. I also need help with some computer projects on a Mac OS 10.6.8 like website updating and maintenance and possibly video editing (promoting planet awareness through NatureArt). I am a multi-artist and a musician in a community percussion band called "Bang On". I also build musical instruments from recycled materials and give sound healing sessions. I live on the beautiful land of an old farm with stone walls surrounded by local + exotic trees and plants. There is also a Magic Forest (with special spaces with sculptures) and a holy well. There are dogs, cats and a pony. The area is remote + beautiful. It is 7km to Ballydehob, the next village. There is only limited WiFi here. Musicians + film makers are very welcome, but this is not a necessary condition. I live with my children in an old cottage. Volunteers sleep in the house or a caravan. Currently looking for a self-motivated person or couple to help us run our busy guesthouse and water sports centre. Ideally, we would like you to stay for a minimum of 6 weeks. Ideally, a couple as it can be lonely for one person on their own. We only have accommodation for one couple sharing a double bed or a single person.

We are 3 miles from the nearest village and 20 miles from the nearest large town. Public Transport isn't good so having your own car would be ideal otherwise Bikes are available.

We need help inside with cleaning rooms and cooking, outside with gardening, painting boats, and general maintenance.

Plenty of opportunities to fish, sail, windsurf, canoe, water-ski or wakeboard. We are an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) teaching centre running courses in powerboat handling etc.

Accommodation, which has its own entrance has a room with a small kitchen, a TV/DVD player, a double bed and an en suite bathroom. Meals are provided along with free wifi in excha... more inside

I have a small cottage and kitchen garden and am looking for help around and about the house and garden. I share my house with four cats, three dogs and have now 15 lovely hens. Due to the encouragement of my first helpxer and with the help of many other energetic helpxers, the hens have a lovely coral to cavort in. I have an acre of land and battle with keeping my garden under control. Anyone with chainsaw skills, or a little bit of stone walling experience would be sincerely appreciated and a helping hand around the house would be really welcome in return for comfortable and warm accommodation in my home together with an evening meal, I let you get your own lunch and breakfast as Iím usually out myself. Iíve wifi internet, TV and endless views.

So far my experience as a host has been really rewarding and transformed the way I live and experience the pleasure of having such lovely people visit. I hope that anyone considering helpxing here will have a rewarding experience... more inside

Trustworthy HOUSE and ANIMAL-SITTERS often welcome!.... Animal lovers please (for house-sitting)! Let me know your dates and I might even plan a trip-away around them.
We would need you to to arrive a few days before we leave. Will take you food shopping (before we go) and can also ask friends to take you shopping once a week if wanted.

Our family live in a small, traditional Irish cottage, in a country location, 2km from village -with 5 cats, 2dogs, a horse, and a jenet. We are located a 30 min drive from limerick city and from Ennis, and a 45 minute drive to Shannon airport.

Buses and public transport are unfortunately (almost) non-existent here in East Clare but friends and neighbors are on the move daily so hopefully no-one will ever feel stranded. We might be able to find a bike if needed.

We invite helpers to work for approx 4 hours per day, and for 4/5 days in 7. In return, we offer friendship, food and warm, basic, private accommodation. Flexibility is give... more inside
