Nestled near the base of Stek'yo'den: Roche de Boule mountains our little hobby farm is a great place to be.

Any help on our farm helps us survive the winter at Dam Maxhla Didaat (Check out the facebook link for more info!). We spend our winters occupying Skyla's family's traditional Gitxsan territory- Maxhla Didaat. Trapping small fur bearing animals and living the trapper's dream. Any help over the summer will help support the work that we do, occupying the land, up there.

Our summer hobby farm is a 5 minute bike ride to Seeley lake Provincial Park and there are great bike/hike trails down to the Skeena River (5-10mins). We are a 15 minute bike ride to New Hazelton or a 30 minute bike ride to Historic Old Hazelton/ K'san. We have extra bikes for use!

Farm life consists of 5 chickens, 6 ducks, 2 dogs & 1 cat. We are getting ready for this years poults and piglets! We have a non-certified organic garden for our personal use, that we like to share/ trade with family and fr... more inside

Cattle Ranch
We run a 500 Head Cattle ranch in the Cariboo area.
Depending on the season, there are many jobs we could use help with on the place. Throughout the year we feed cattle, brand, irrigate, put up hay,do general maintenance on fences, equipment, buildings, work cattle, and occasionally...relax!
You would have the opportunity to spend time in the great natural environment, and the likelihood of seeing wild animals is great. There is a variety of jobs, and what you end up doing will depend on your willingness, experience, and the season.
The Cariboo is a beautiful place and we encourage any visitors to take in some of the area while they're here.

This is a traditional beef producing semi-remote ranch, located in the historic ranching communtiy of Baker Creek, 45km west of Quesnel. We are a horse-based ranch, relying on horses to do our much of our range riding and ranch work. We train our own horses for the ranch work they will be required to do. We also produce our own hay, fix fences, garden, and clear land. The ranch is currently growing, as is the cow and horse herd. Although we are not certified organic, our animals recieve no hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. We do things in tune with nature and don't fight against it. We also own/operate a big game guiding company, each fall we head to the back country.

I own and operate a Guide Outfitting business. I would like to have help building several projects from mid April until late October. I would welcome helpers to come for the whole time or whatever time they have available. I am located at Ft. Grahame B.C. Ft. Grahame is on the Davis Bay, of Williston Lake which is the largest lake in B.C. I have a small sawmill which we use to saw all our own dimensional lumber. We also use the sawmill to saw logs we use for building. We have several buildings to build this summer using the dovetail method. For anyone who is interested in learning how to build log cabins and operate a small sawmill this is a great opportunity. We will also be logging out some logs starting about April 1. I also have 24 head of horses and will be purchasing another 3-8 this spring. They are saddle and pack animals. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to learn how pack horses in the mountains. There are unlimited opportunities to ride, getting the h... more inside

Welcome to the Kispiox Valley!! We live in among mountains, rivers and lush fields. We are operating a diverse farm. We have cattle, horses, chickens. We put up a garden and harvest hay as well.
We would like to find a couple or single that would like to come and help us with various projects and chores. The Fall is a time we need help with harvesting and some carpentry. We live by a famous steelhead fishing river, so if you like to fish you have found your paradise. We also take time for fun, it's not all work here.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

This is a wilderness hunting camp in Northern Alberta. We have cabins to stay in but it is rustic and 6 miles from the nearest road. We travel to the camp in an 8 wheel argo with tracks (all terrain vehicle).

I would like some help with building an addition on the cookhouse and any help around the yard is great.

We do not live at the camp full time but spend most of the time from August to November staying there.

We are looking for helpers who can contribute out around the farm. We need the cows and horses taken care of, fences to be fixed, weeds to be sprayed, dishes and generalized domestic work to be done, and many other things to help maintain the overall wellness of the property. There is a one bedroom cabin that is open for stay, about 100 yards from the main farmhouse. Heat, stove, food and water are all supplied, with an additional outhouse located behind. Meal plans can be arranged once contacted.

Funky 5 acre vegetable farm in the beautiful Bulkley Valley. An easy walk or 10 min bike ride to town, even closer to the beach! Plenty of hiking trails right out the back door. There is salmon fishing in the summer and moose hunting in the fall.

The focus of the farm is organic vegetables with a few chickens and rabbits. I grow salad greens indoor all year long.

Short stays and long are always welcome. I have 2 spare bedrooms in the house and plenty of room to camp or park a trailer. The farm keeps a laid back attitude. Helpers are asked to chip in 15-20 hours a week for a place to stay and food. You are encouraged to take off and explore all the amazing things the valley has to offer!!
