I am Brazilian and traveller, after living many years in Europe I took a long journey trip from Mexico to Ecuador, now I have a beautiful house in Cuenca where I have the pleasure to share with other travelers.

The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed and friendly but not boring. I have nice common areas where it will be a pleasure to share to make one feel at home, with barbecue area and many plants Saturday we do common food, with the idea lets cook together!

The hostel has all the comfort needed for a pleasant stay, we have available private rooms or dorms, fully equipped kitchen for common use, lounge and wi-fi.

(Espanol sigue)Our farm is a small intensive market farm.We teach the Permaculture Design Course here, and have been teaching Permaculture in various counties for about 30 years. We also practice Biodynamic principles, which is Robert's main focus. Zia is more the Permaculture afeccionado. We are keen on continually upgrading our design of rainwater management. Turmeric is our main crop, as well as a range of medicinal and culinary herbs which we process into value-added products--herbal medicines, skin care products, elixirs, probiotics, etc. which we sell at the organic market here, which we helped organize and initiate. Next, come a mix of traditional Ecuadorean crops and also European vegetables. If you want to really dive into deep learning, consider doing an intership with us. See the website for the differences. For volunteering, we ask a 2 week minimum, we exchange 6-7 hours/ day of work on the farm, 5 days/week in exchange for providing coaching on all aspects of what we ... more inside

We are an indigenous directed volunteer organization founded to provide free English instruction to the communities of Chimborazo, Ecuador. Volunteers are placed in a home stay in a Kichwa community in the rural Ecuadorian Andes. The coop was founded in Fall of 2016 by an indigenous Kichwa professor and pastor and a US volunteer. That said, we are just getting the program off the ground and, while we will take care of food, housing, and all the basics, every community is different with slightly different needs, and each volunteer (or set of volunteers) we get will bring a new community into the network so no volunteer's experience will be quite the same. This is an exciting opportunity to help jump-start a fledgling non-profit, bring English and arts instruction to folks who could otherwise have no access, and immerse yourself in Kichwa culture and life.

We are a brand new permaculture fruit forest project in southeast Ecuador! Our goal is to go from a fledgling project to a model community/eco-village/productive fruit farm in 18 months, and to be a successful example for other farms in the area to trust in sustainable methods of farming. We already produce many plantains, bananas, and other fruits, and are currently planting dozens of varieties of exotic fruits from South America and all over the world.

We are a working dairy, nestled in the mountains (3000 meters) just 30 minutes outside of Cuenca. The farm is very scenic and quiet, with a waterfall, mountain trails, 20 hectares of native forest, and pastures full of friendly cows. There is a lot to explore. We milk around 30 cows, grazing the cows in lush mountain grass, moving them to new pastures twice a day. We also rent cabins to guests.

We have five children ages 1 to 12. We home-school our children and are primarily interested in volunteers that can help us with the schooling. We want volunteers that can teach a subject, read with the kids, play games, or just help with crowd control when we are attempting to work one on one with them. Do you have a particular passion that you could share with the kids? Guitar or violin? French or Spanish lessons?

We rent cabins on the farm to both national and international tourists. The first part of your day, usually starting around 7:30 would be to prepare and serve breakfast t... more inside

The Living project is social initiative that generate development on ancestral and poor communities by the access of knowledge and rescue of ancestral values.

The project re-establish the relationship between the community children and a more sustainable way of life. Giving them knowledge to generate new ideas and abilities to empower themselves. In that way when they grow up, they will not need to seek job on the city's (local bars, restaurants, alcohol vendors, hotels). Instead they will generate them own entrepreneurship by local tourism, organic products, ancestral practices, and more.

The project not only work with children, but also youth, women and young mothers.

We have two station, one near the beach and other deep into the mountains. We travel a lot between them.

We are calling for international volunteers to teach english to the children and youth on the commune. We are also open to other types of knowledge exchange.
