Hi everyone!
We are a collective / shared-house in South-West of France. We bought collectively an old farm 4 years ago, and since then we renovate it ourself to live in it. And we could use some help with that! Around the house there is two of us who have organic farm (vegetable growing and bread making), everyone as his/her own job outside the house. We are 9 adults and 3 kids in this project.

We are in a rural area, next to the Pyrenees mountains (we can see them from the house and it's beautiful, even when we see them everyday!), you can also take some times to discover the surroundings!

What kind of work you can help us with:
From April 2018, we'll do work on the house: we will work on two rooms (insulation, wood flooring, primer on the wall, etc.). It's possible to adapted regarding on what your interested in. We try to do the renovation as ecological as we can. We are not professional but develop some experience on the previous work that we did. We are happy and open... more inside

We are an Anglo/Franco family living in an isolated, rambling farm house in the stunning Dordogne region of S. W. France. We need a lot of help from, willing and able volunteers with building skills to help with a number of projects. 5 hours per day, five day week or equivalent depending on team requirements. with some weekends required (included in the 5 days)
We are an easy going family who enjoy laughing and life. We are converting a 12th century barn, still working on our main residence and creating three small apartments above our arts and crafts shop in our nearby village. Plus we need help with our vegetable garden, orchard and painting furniture for our shops. So varied work and never two days the same.
Whilst we will do our best and like to accommodate all nationalities, we ask for a good understanding of English or French as the work and using tools correctly and safely needs to be understood and your security is of utmost importance to us.

I have stables with about 25 horses, who live outside and inside.
I look for a helper, who can look after these horses, with me, feed them, bring them outside, if they are inside, etc...
Also there can be some fences to remove or repaie.
It can represent about two hours help each day.

My farm is situated in the South of France, near Toulouse and Albi.

My helper will rest in own room, with all conveniences.

Hello All

We are a family of four. My wife, Louiza and I with our two children.

We have a small 20 hectare farm where we farm with Soay sheep (ancient breed that resembles to the wild mouflon sheep race). We also farm with wallabies. Apart from that we have large tracts of land with forests that need cutting and thinning out. Also we need to enclose more land with fencing and do some general renovation work on our farm.

We are aiming to have an eco friendly farm where visitors can come and stay for a few weeks. We are in the process of renovation our second farm house with natural materials and ecologically...not building with cement but chalk and sand, etc.

My wife has a beauty salon in town and spends her days there. I take care of the farm and try to advance by renovating and upgrading our farm. We sometimes just do not have the time for everything and a helping hand would be very much appreciated. I speak fluent English, German and Dutch. My wife is fluent in English... more inside

I have a traditional small fermette in a beautiful river valley in mid-France. I am English (but my dog is French) and I want to have sheep, chickens, a place to allow people to study (converted barn) and experience the tranquillity and proximity to nature. It is truly the most wonderful place to experience a peaceful way of life. At night there is no light pollution and the only sounds are singing frogs, nightingales, crickets and owls! You will sleep in a charming vintage caravan and have the choice of self-catering or eating with me (or a mixture of both.) I will take you out to eat in a restaurant once a week. I can cater for alternative diets. There is also a lovely covered outdoor area which you can use. I need all sorts of help with gardening, re-creating an old farm pond, building work, tree planting and so on. I speak English and French and understand a little Italian, German and Dutch. I work with a Flemish speaker who can translate if necessary.
Well behaved dogs are welc... more inside

Hello helpers!

New to HelpX, I decided not long ago to join the community. When travelling the world is not possible, bringing the world to us seemed like a better and easier option.

I live with my son and a friendly dog in a lovely small village located in the Loire region in France. My house is literally a “gate” to a well-known national park: Le Parc du Pilat. Many people hike here as well as doing many other outdoor activities.
My place is a cozy country side style house with a lot of plains and hills around.

I am particularly looking for helper profiles with handy skills such as renovation, construction, gardening and house maintenance in general.
My house needs some improvements which are fairly easy to make. For instance, I would like to renovate the stairs on my front porch and do some painting in the basement. There is a lot to do around the house and if you have any ideas, I am happy to consider them!

I can provide food and board. You will have a room for ... more inside

I'm a mother of two boys of 24 and 26, and I'm living in the heart of a beautiful and peaceful green valley, at about 25km from the Opal Coast. I run a small B&B in our old charming farmhouse, and work also as a music teacher. I lost my husband 4 years ago and my sons are not often at home, so I'd be very happy with a helping hand with the house and the gardens, and with the B&B. I very much enjoy meeting new people, having interesting conversations about all kinds of subjects and do really appreciate the given help. There's a good balance between work and relaxing in a most respectful ambiance. Helpers should know that I'm away from home for my job. If learning French is one of your motivations, I'll be happy to help you to improve your language skills. Only contact by e-mail please.

Bonjour

We are a mixed family of North American / French and are updating a house and garden in the beautiful town of Osséja, France in the Pyrenees. We are easygoing, humourous, kind-hearted and like meeting new people.
