we have cellardoor and restaurant. we have a few goats and one alpaca., dogs and cat. We eat and drink well , enjoy your stories and and a laugh.

Your accomodation is next to the restaurant with valley view and TV and shared shower. We also have two caravans not far from the house.

We need always help in the restaurant and kitchen -- you do not have to be a chef -- we teach you. Many helpers take lots of our recipes home. There is also work out side , gardening , fencing and general maintenance-- The restaurant is only open on the weekends , so there is enough time to do other things or rest.

We are very interested in green energy. We just started importing and selling LED lights, solar street lighting and power supplies.

We prefer longer stays. We have had many helpers who stay for 6 months and many come back a second and third time.

We live on 115 beautiful acres near Stanthorpe, Queensland. We are approx 2.5 hours from Brisbane and a bus from Brisbane stops 5 mins from our door where we can pick you up.
Our farm is undulating, partly cleared & has a sprinkling of granite rocks and trees to make it interesting. Summer months we grow a variety of produce, and we can have cool nights. We are a family living a long term dream of creating a small, diverse family farm that is not only viable but operating in an ethical manner with integrity, always open to learning new things, and producing food that is bursting with health and flavour!
Help needed includes soil preparation, planting, care of crops, weeding, pick and pack produce. Our farm has a large variety of things on the go so your help also could include helping out with the farm animals.(Sheep/cows/chooks.)

Hi.

We are Thomas(25) and Leah(29) and Theodore (under 12 months).

We have bought a beautiful little farm in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and would love some willing helpers to make our dream for the place possible.

We have been fixing up the old house and now we are ready to begin our journey to self-sustainability.

To date we have two horses.

We are trying to begin constructing a orchard.
We will also be planting a vegetable and herb garden.

We also have some construction projects happening.
- replacing the deck
- mending fences
- re-establishing chicken pen
- building a hut/ space for workers to stay
- Building a greenhouse
- Building a fire pit

Work on the farm is quite flexible.
There are many things that we need help with.

E.g. construction, mowing, weed control, planting, animal care.

Couples are welcome.

We are fun outgoing people who love sharing with other cultures.

We are both musical so musicians are very welcome.

We will be ... more inside

We are a home educating (unschooling) family of 7 (only 4 of us are home at this point) working towards creating a permaculture homestead on the bush block we live on. I did my Permaculture Design Certificate in 2016 and we've lived here for 2 years so are in the initial stages. Being a bush block we have loads of bird life along with the occasional kangaroo and koala.

We have all kinds of projects happening building an outdoor kitchen with a cob oven, the beginnings of a market garden, gardening both maintaining and establishing, looking after animals, fencing ect. We love exploring our local area and helpers would be welcome to join us on our outings.

We live about an hour from Brisbane and 45 minutes from Toowoomba making both these places fairly accessible. We are also 20 minutes from Gatton and being in the Lockyer Valley offers opportunities to connect with other backpackers travelling or perhaps pick up some paid work on one of the local farms.

I am looking for a single person or a couple, to stay at a self sufficient permaculture farm with plenty of opportunity to learn about fermenting food and cheese making. I'm a permaculture teacher and this farm is a great opportunity for people to learn about home food production. Work to be done is mostly tidying up the vegie garden and in the food forest garden for spring planting the tropical veg as well as propagating from new planting material. Meals are mostly from the farm including our own meat. The aim of this permaculture farm is to be as environmentally friendly as possible, there is a compost toilet and re-using the grey water in the gardens. Tank water only and a share bathroom downstairs.
