Accomdation is basic in a small caravan with a double bed. We have two small children and also live in a static caravan onsite.

This is a Georgian mansion house located in the Scottish Borders owned by John and Ellie Henderson and their two children Lily (7) and Thomas (3). For the past 7 years they have breathed new life into the estate by diversifying. This includes a Featherdown glamping site in the garden consisting of 4 colonial style tents each with proper beds, wood burning stoves, ensuite loo and hot tubs. Ellie is the Glamping site host and is looking for ideally a couple to help maintain the tents and help greet guests on changeover days (Monday and Fridays approx. 6hrs per day) and help her in the walled garden and general maintenance of the estate outside of this time. You would be staying in the house itself. It would suit an individual or a couple happy to clean and garden and plant in all weathers so looking for those with a genuine love of the outdoors, gardening, historic landscape and an adventurous, imaginative spirit and energy.

We currently have no space for Summer17.

We have a suckler herd and are beef farmers, non intensive. We are gradually developing a pedigree herd of Ruby Red Devons. All our cattle are grass fed from what is made on our land. We farm on the Somerset Levels, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.
The village is set between 2 moors and is a bus ride away from Taunton.
We are a husband and wife team who need extra help over the Summer to produce hay and silage. Experience of tractor driving and towing is preferred!
If you stay with us you will put in about 5 hours of work a day. Depending on your own plans, that can mean you work fuller days (more hours) to allow a longer break of several cohesive days "off" after that.
You'll live with us as a family member in a caravan, with access to all facilities like free wi-fi internet, TV, laundry
If you're a couple or friends, you'll share the caravan. Lovely shower room.
Since this work arrangement should be a "win-win"... more inside

A period property set within 20 acres of its own land. 15mins to the nearest North Devon surf beach and 15 min drive to the historic town of Bideford. The farm house features an original Devonshire cream oven and bread oven, with inglenook fireplaces, original beams and lots of lovely charm.

We currently have 60 sheep on the land which belong to our neighbour.

We used to live in London, working in Television where the stresses of our jobs would consume all our time and zap all of our energy. We wanted to have a slower pace of life and move to a place where we can grow our own food and be creative with the space that we have on the land. We found Brendon Farm in April 2016 and fell in love with it and moved here in August.

There are loads we want to do here but time is quickly passing us by so we would love help with various jobs around the land and home.
we are also keen to learn from you too!

if anyone is interested and have any of the skills/roles below, please get in... more inside

Adrian and I moved from the south of England five years ago and live in a comfortable house on the Welsh borders, 25 miles west of Shrewsbury. There is easy access to Snowdonia National Park and the Cardigan coast. This is a truly beautiful part of the country. While we are located in a rural area, it is not totally isolated. We are situated between two villages (3 miles each way!) and we can offer lifts to the nearest bus service (Berriew - 3 miles) or train station (Welshpool - 8 miles).

We also have a small cottage, which we operate as a holiday let - the website for the cottage is available for you to view.

We're looking for a someone to help us out, providing up to 4 hours a day with general gardening/maintenance work. Nothing too technical, just mowing, using a hedge trimmer, cutting back bushes, etc. Also we would like someone willing to help with general maintenance tasks - e.g. painting fences. If you can 'muck in' with helping to do changeovers for our holiday l... more inside

This is a rural project of the Hare Krishna Movement in England. It has currently 60 cows and oxen. The dairy produces milk without any slaughter, the oxen are used for land cultivation and transportation. We have a 3 hectare vegetable area, some small woodlands, formal gardens, alternative energy. The Manor is am active place with many visitors on a daily basis.
The accommodation is two beds for ladies in our guest house and three to four beds in a caravan in the vegetable production side of the estate (short walk to the main house).

We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us with our vegetable growing, formal gardens and help us with our farm generally
As the community is faith bases we ask volunteers to refrain from smoking, drinking and of course drugs whilst they are staying with us. We do not allow any meats on the project and we provide only vegetarian foods three times a day.

Men helpers are asked to bring their own sleeping bag.

We ask our volunteers... more inside

We have lived in our house for two years and in that time with the help of our helpex visitors have decorated most of the house. This work is now mainly finished and we have moved on to our new project.

We have just purchased a cafe/bar/restaurant and we could do with a bit of help there. The work would be mainly waiting on tables, serving behind the bar, helping out in the kitchen and washing dishes.

We will invite you to live as part of our family and will provide occassional meals, although we are not around very much at the moment as we are very busy. We will buy food but you will be expected to cook and tidy up after yourself. Some meals are provided in the cafe (depending on our opening hours) as are all meals whilst you are working at the cafe.

We live in Paignton about 5min walk from the town centre, right on a bus route and about 10mins walk from the beach.
