Hi there, looking to find a companion to travel through India this summer
Naman, 26, is a well-seasoned global nomad with a penchant for anything involving information technology and computing, whose experiences constantly bring him back in orbit with an industry sector dear to stomachs everywhere: food. Having studied Economics & Accounting at the University of Guelph (one of the top ranked global agribusiness universities), Naman represented the University at the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) Global Case Competition, earning them 5th place. The team created an in-depth business case planning logistics for a tree nuts business based in Ahmedabad, with markets in Kenya and Zambia. To add a practical foundation to his knowledge, Naman worked at the One United Resource (OUR) eco-village in the summer of 2017, an experience that germinated the seeds of sustainable agriculture sown by IFAMA. He intends to continue cultivating this passion as he travels, eventually putting his research and experience towards Masters and PhD in Economics, with a focus on international food security.
On the technology side, Naman also consulted on web projects, helping businesses establish and maintain a social media presence. Naman enhanced this skillset at the OUR eco-village, widening their social media presence and overhauling their web design, simplifying navigation and streamlining the backend WordPress system.
Having grown up in India, Bahrain & Canada, Naman has developed a global paradigm to problem solving and learning and is fluent in a spectrum of languages including English, Hindi, HTML, CSS, Python, Parseltongue & Elvish.
