We are a couple with grown up children so we gout space to have up to 5 people stay and work with us at our organic farm. I am a cook and my partner is a teacher and landscape engineer. We work with vegetable production, in greenhouses and outdoor. In the summertime we have tomatoes, egplants, peppers, chillies, beans, mm in our greenhouses and different vegetables in the field. We need help for the farm work, and traditional construction work on different parts of the buildings. We have bicycles here for our guests so you can discover the surroundings. Odense is 17km away and the city of Kerteminde, by the sea, is 5km from our place. We like to have people around from all over the world, not only to get some help, but also to enjoy an cultural and social exchange. Hope to meet you soon Annette & Martin

Hi everyone, We're looking for a helping hand at our place ! We have some free spots on our calendar and would love to welcome a volunteer to join us. In September, we'll need someone to house-sit and watch our dogs and cats . If you're interested in volunteering and potentially house sitting in September, send us a message! Sometimes, finding yourself lost brings you to this place. Our home gives the gift of getting alone. Allowing you to put yourself in decreased sensory input. To hear yourself again. Visitors in years gone by have found this time alone has simplified the heart and pathed the way for the journey ahead. Disconnect to reconnect and clear your mind in hectares of Spanish landscape. While we offer hosting from two weeks, we're ideal for those searching for an extended stay…a couple months sounds like a treat! We live a content and uncomplicated life, with an emphasis on zero waste. If you're up for the task and ready to take on the adventure, we would love to hea...

Greetings! I am seeking someone who wants to move to, or simply stay in one location for a longer term (5-6 months or more!), where they can find a sense of purpose, make an impact, be of service, make a life for themself, and become established in a community as a homesteader, herbalist, gardener, animal caretaker, beekeeper, fermenter, brewer, baker, builder, entrepreneur, artist, holistic medicine maker, or survivalist prepper, if not all of those things and more, all rolled into one! The farm has over 500 of varieties of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, berries, herbs, flowers, and native or natural plant species, many of which have culinary or medicinal value, along with an assortment of other uses. I also operate a natural foods store that has a commercial kitchen and freeze dryer, at which a part-time job on the side as an actual paid employee may be possible, for the right person, and I also vend at a farmers market, where I have an established customer base, so there is an ...

We appreciate 5 hours of work per day, 6 days per week. You can choose 8 am to 1 pm, or 7 am to noon. Sundays off. Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

Our farm consists of 88 acres; all permanent pasture (except a small wood and kitchen garden). WE farm livestock - about 200 sheep, about 20 Devon cattle, some poultry and a retired sow. We are licenced by the Soil Association and follow their organic standards. We sell our produce in the local Ilfracombe Farmers' Market and on line. Our sheep flocks are kept for the production of lamb and mutton, and also wool, knitting yarn and felted "sheepskins". Our cattle herd is registered with the Devon Cattle Breeders' Society and consists of pedigree polled Red Ruby Devons. They are mainly sold as pedigree breeding stock but we occasionally have a steer killed for beef. We have planted a small orchard of fruit trees, mainly apples, cider apples, pears and perry pears. We have also recently re-introduced beekeeping to our activities and currently have three beehives. Our general aim is to farm in a humane and sustainable way, restore and maintain the traditional landscape features of ...

We live on an old estate with 12 rescue equines (donkeys, ponies and horses), 134 rescued pigs, a goat and some sheep. The animals thrive in a calm environment; therefore we are looking for positive attitudes, happy to muck in and get through the manual labour, as well as patience and thoughtfulness with animals who need time to come around. This is incredibly rewarding if you enjoy tuning in to the little daily achievements and rehabilitation of the animals. For example, each person is matched with one animal a week to spend a few moments of one-on-one quality time with. This may be an animal who has recently lost their companion, or someone who needs company to gain trust. This helps both the animal and the team to do daily treatments such as hoof trimming, eye cleaning etc. A little heads up before you read on! Here is not a suitable place to come if you have problems with energy levels, lethargy or migraines from exertion. If you struggle with your mental health please consider t...

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! (La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Small stud breeding and training Arabian purebreds, with the objective of starting them in endurance competitions. Working stallion, mares, geldings and young horses, 2 of which are only just under the saddle. 9 horses all together. During spring/summer/early autumn I am happy to welcome a single volunteer or a couple who can help me with cutting nettles, saplings, getting dead branches out of trees, mending some stable doors, there might be a outdoor painting job if the weather allows, chopping wood for next winter, in other words, a bit heavier gardening work and some outdoor construction work while the weather is good and the days have plenty of daylight hours. Currently I have agreements in place with volunteers for June, July, August and September. I have a fairly large guest room available which accommodates 2 people. You will live in a household with 4 dogs and 3 cats. If you do not like animals in the house, then my place is not suitable for you. I own a small cottage 800 m...

Hi, my name is Rodrigo and I live in this old house, with my dog Madalena and my cat Bichana, surrounded by a banana organic farm that belonged to my great grandparents and which I live since 2013. I host tourists through Airbnb and sometimes CouchSurfing travellers. You'll help me maintain the garden, banana plantation, vegetables and other trees, composting, housekeeping, some construction, upcycling and welcoming guests for my Airbnb space. I love working with permaculture, dry toilets, bio-construction, fungal and bacterial worlds and arts. I have a very good network of friends and people that work on sustainability in the island, Portugal mainland and even world like. I have done independent volunteering in Haiti after the big earthquake with GiveLove NGO, working on compost toilets with Joe Jenkins (Humanure Handbook), Hamish Skermer (Natural Event) and Patricia Arquette (actress and GiveLove co-founder). We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. HelpX for June. I live in Algarve in a detached house with plenty of gardening ground round it. The house is in the country 15 mins from the town of Loule and 15 mins from the town of Faro. I have Portuguese Cafes nearby and plenty of walks. What to expect when you stay with me. I offer you your own room and breakfast lunch and dinner. I have internet. I ask for 4 hours a day 6 days a week and a day off For you to travel a bit further. Our day starts with breakfast and then we work for 2 hours, which at the moment is tidying the overgrown garden. We then have a rest and admire the difference our efforts made. We then have lunch and do another 2 hours. That’s the work finished for the day and time for you to explore or just relax. We have dinner about 6.30 this gives us time to get to know each other or if your not at house you can have your dinner later. On your day off you can explore. A lot of helpx enjoy staying around the villa this gives them time to save for other travelling. ...

We are celebrating OUR 25th Anniversary (1999) and OUR Ecovillage's team is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Folks love to be with the land, work in transformational personal journey work as we weave ourselves into the Collective, work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! Creating a mutually supportive 'attitude of gratitude' is what makes for an amazing Volunteer season and we have folks who return year after year. Maturity to live/work with a team is a major asset - and/or the willingness to learn and put oneself in as a team player makes for an outstanding experience while you are within OUR Volunteer Program. You will me...

Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

Hi! Please read carefully before applying, as this year we need specific skills, or at least the willingness to do the jobs! Perhaps even tell us how you can help when applyng! Hi we are in the spring and there is plenty of changeable weather, but still plenty to do here at Sensone At the moment, we have space for someone (or a couple) that can use a Strimmer (frullino), to cut grass and small bush/plants in the garden, chainsaw experience for dealing with wood, plus general garden tidy up. Any other skills would be useful, the work is on steep terraces! If you have building, landscaping or even mechanical skills, we would love to hear from you. There is a possibility for a longer stay Helpx - for the right person and the possibility to earn some pocket money! The work is varied, but tends to be heavy at times as we do a lot of wood cutting and the land is pretty steep. This would suit someone very active and loves being outside, must be a self starter and get on with jobs on thei...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru and from my kitchen window or climbing up the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. After five years of absence house and gardens have been badly damaged physically and spiritually. In the effort to restore the above, I re-discovered HelpX for finding spirited support for all sorts of quirky manifestations of visible and touchable things. In my role as your host, I am fully committed to provide three basic meals per day, to be fully there when our agreed upon four hours of work start and to offer you some nice and clean room to stay. With my double bed guest room created to a comfortable Kiwi standard and a renovated lounge fit for more than two friends, a family or a yoga space, I am happy to open my home again for...

I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners. Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like to invite...

It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

PERMACULTURE AND EDIBLE FOREST (young) on 1ha - - - - I have worked as volunteer around the world from 2010 to 2014; i helped as farmer, carpenter, in orphanage, in school in Asia, South Amercia, Africa. Then from 2015 to 2018, I have co-create an eco-village https://www.alosnys.com/ where I have received about 40 volunteers in 4 years. In 2019, I have work hard in wineyard to save money and build my own project (with what I have save as engineer from 2007-2009). Since march 2020, I have create my organisation on a land of 1ha (10 000m²) : - produce vegetable, plant fruit tree, have egg.. in end of may-june I have a lot of red berry, then in july august a lot of tomatoes, 400 trees have been planted Vegetable and fruit are sold to improve the garden - teach to children and adult how to garden or use wild plant. I have also managed, develop and scaled up the dry toilets and food waste c...

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things.
