Hi, I am Askin, I have been living at this farm since 2018. I have been planting, harvesting, collecting medicinal herbs for 15 years. I use my own produced-essential oil to make eco-cosmetics products. Additionally, when I have time, I like to work on wood carving. My house is in a big area where there are lots of fruit trees and a vegetable garden. Houses in our village have been built apart from each other, so it makes our place more silent and peaceful. Also, there are very nice paths for walking with beautiful scenery. Our farm is 2 hours away from Antalya by car. Also, we are close to the ancient village, Olympos, which is very beautiful and big place where everyone should see and there is a beautiful beach there. Adrasan and Cirali are also very nice places to visit. In short, this area is full of ancient places and close to the famous Lycia Road. In your free time, you can visit those places. I expect from the helpers to participate in the following works: • harvesting herb...

We, Matthias and Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s, and met here in NZ, so our home language is German. We are now a family with 8 children - 3 still living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys have moved back onto our property, - they are now living in our cottage. Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chicken, 8 sheep and a few goat bucks, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part of our little paradise. Amazingly, though situated just off SH1, our place affords a cosy sense of privacy, as it nestles behind an old pine-tree shelter belt and is lined with a shelter belt of poplar trees along the rest of its border. The township of Amberley is 5 min away by car or 20 min by bicycle, where you can do all essential shopping, go to t...

Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

We're happy to share our life with people who wants to do new experience helping in our farm. We are supporters of organic agriculture since 1996 and we need your help to keep on in it . Vietri di Potenza is a very small village in Basilicata quiet and far from any kind of pollution. No tourism here but not far from Naples (Costiera Amalfitana) and Matera (European Capital of Culture 2019). You need one or two hours by car to visit the great places you can see in the Francis Coppola youtube video below. Francesco, my husband, and me look for help all year long especially during olive harvest on November, during July and August helping with "potatura estiva" (summer pruning olives trees) and our organic garden needs help to grow as well. We are professional tasters of Extravergine d’Oliva , Evoo, so we're happy to share this knowledge with our helpers. Everybody says that our home is big and comfortable. One room for volunteers and a bath to share. Wi-fi . Good food. You’re welcom...

My friend bought this beautiful old farm in Bjarnarfjordur witch is in the west fjords of Iceland And the westfjords were selected as top destination in the world by Lonely Planet for 2022 No one has lived there for the last 20 years so there’s plenty of things to do Mainly it’s taking care of the eiderducks (put up flags and scarecrows to keep the artic fox and seagulls away from the area) The eider nests on small islands close to the farm so we will need to take a boat or a kayak and row to the islands After the nesting season we pick up the down that they left in the nest And another thing is feeding the rainbow trout that we will be farming in tanks on land Also we have to paint and fix the old house We have our own geothermal hole that produces lots of hot water Even though it’s seems remote it’s only 35km to the next town Hòlmavík where there’s a supermarket, bank and basically everything you need From June to October we are doing whale watching trips from Hólmavík and mo...

This is a somehow unusual project. Minimal conditions offered, so only for hardened bushcrafters or outdoorsy people. 🌳🌳🌳Max 3 hours a day volunteering for accommodation only , or 4 to 5 h for food and accommodation. On a steep slope, just at the edge of the huge forests we re trying to build a tree house, and later on an earthship and some other dependence s. Water systems works also and hopefully access entrances for auto. Working towards a biodiverse, productive, ecological future by applying low tech permaculture techniques. Ideal skills needed: natural building, carpentry, plumbing, bushcraft, permaculture. If you consider yourself a handy person, please get in contact and we ll arrange something. For a motivated skilled carpenter longer term better arrangements are possible. The house is in the village ,1.5 km way from the project and after 15-th of July will need some painting and decorating and also plumbing works. So any help is welcomed. Please no drugs, smoking or heavy d...

We are a Cage-free Cottage Dog Lifestyle Pet Resort near Huntsville in the heart of Muskoka. We are just 15 minutes from Arrowhead Provincial Park and a 45-minute drive from world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park, where you might want to hike trails, check their visitor centre, wolf howls, and maybe try outdoor camping or a canoe trip from almost our backyard. Muskoka is one of Canada's top Cottage capitals, with over 1,000 pristine lakes. Our property has many ponds and is located in the spring-fed kettle lakes hills that supply fresh water to Lake of Bays. Just steps away are four small lakes with blue heron rookeries, where moose, whitetail deer and other wildlife come for a drink. Those who love watching wildlife in their natural habitat will love our beautiful woodlands and lakes. As will those who enjoy fishing or bird watching. There are lots of hiking trails and beaches you can walk, swim at and enjoy. We have bikes, and it is just 6km from Huntsville, where you can find in...

We are a couple with grown up children so we gout space to have up to 5 people stay and work with us at our organic farm. I am a cook and my partner is a teacher and landscape engineer. We work with vegetable production, in greenhouses and outdoor. In the summertime we have tomatoes, egplants, peppers, chillies, beans, mm in our greenhouses and different vegetables in the field. We need help for the farm work, and traditional construction work on different parts of the buildings. We have bicycles here for our guests so you can discover the surroundings. Odense is 17km away and the city of Kerteminde, by the sea, is 5km from our place. We like to have people around from all over the world, not only to get some help, but also to enjoy an cultural and social exchange. Hope to meet you soon Annette & Martin

I am in the Madonie Park- It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. . I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I am an English woman. I live in a large property, in Saint Maur des Bois, 50800; opposite a medieval church. William the Conqueror used to have a chateau here but it has long gone now. I would like ideally to find someone to stay with me long term, but I love to host shorter stays too. I love meeting new people. Help needed in the garden with weeding, cleaning , animal care and general home maintenance. The garden isn't huge, but I can't lift heavy stuff any more. I am fairly easy going and treat our helpers as part of the family. The house is not far from the golden beaches at Granville, great for swimming. Le Mont St. Michel is about 30 minutes by car or bus. Christian Dior Museum and Gardens are 20 mins away by train. The closest large town is Villedieu les Poeles, famous for its bell foundry and medieval buildings. Today there are many arts and craft studios and a thriving café culture. WWII landing beaches are to the North. Loads of museums, history and sights. Paris is about 3...

We, Nikki and Pol, today are respectively 70 and 76. We are both retired. Nikki worked as a make-up artist for television, Pol as an editor for an Antwerp daily newspaper. We live in Schilde, a green municipality northeast of Antwerp, for about 30 years. Surrounding our house, which is spacious enough since our three daughters left it, is a rather labour-intensive garden of about 1,350 m². That is the domain of Nikki, who (among many other things) as a 'garden ranger' also gives other people advice for making their gardens bird- and insect-friendly. Pol spends a lot of time behind his laptop, but also volunteers at the local Oxfam World Shop. And together we really enjoy travelling. Within Europe, we do so with our own camper. A regular destination outside Europe is Australia, as our youngest daughter lives in Perth. Nikki would love some help in the garden. Helpers with some experience in pruning and planting are therefore very welcome. In return, Nikki will gladly share her extensive...

We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park.

My name is Andy and I've been hosting people for years now with Helpx and other organisations. If you are seeking a true cultural exchange, want to really improve your English to a more advanced level and you are a person with high expectations of yourself or want to be around people who also want to help you, then please read on. I appreciate spending my time with people who like me want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I have learned a lot from my time hosting people and my journey continues. I am a well-educated person who believes life is a continual learning experience. Those who love watching wildlife in their natural habitat will love our beautiful woodlands and lakes. As will those who enjoy fishing or bird watching.
