En français plus bas! Dear Helpers! Need allies for co-creative forestry help and some other projets (40 acres estate , standalone site: water supply from a 1 square meter reservoir, electricity with solar panels, 2.5 hours north of Montreal / 1,5hour from Ottawa) *****Bus is coming to Mont-Laurier, and elsewhere in Laurentians area, we can pick you up and talk about this together! Hello to all forest, nature, and First Nations lovers! I'm looking for dynamic, cheerful and fit people, who love the forest and can work there for some basic development work on a forest estate of over 40 acres (over 16 ha / 1,7000,000 square feet) that I acquired with a member of my family, in the beautiful region of the Hautes Laurentides, very close to the municipality of Mont St-Michel… Yes, like Mont St-Michel in France, but this time, we talk about province of Quebec (Canada)...! Participatory work in progress and to come (depending on the forces of the allies arriving) • Opening of hiking trails...

I am an English woman. I live in a large property, in Saint Maur des Bois, 50800; opposite a medieval church. William the Conqueror used to have a chateau here but it has long gone now. I would like ideally to find someone to stay with me long term, but I love to host shorter stays too. I love meeting new people. Help needed in the garden with weeding, cleaning , animal care and general home maintenance. The garden isn't huge, but I can't lift heavy stuff any more. I am fairly easy going and treat our helpers as part of the family. The house is not far from the golden beaches at Granville, great for swimming. Le Mont St. Michel is about 30 minutes by car or bus. Christian Dior Museum and Gardens are 20 mins away by train. The closest large town is Villedieu les Poeles, famous for its bell foundry and medieval buildings. Today there are many arts and craft studios and a thriving café culture. WWII landing beaches are to the North. Loads of museums, history and sights. Paris is about 3...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables and fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We are both retired teachers that would be happy to help you improve your knowledge of English. We offer homestay experience. We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or train to go further afield. We also like to explore the area and show it to our visitors. We are located 10km from Spain. We have fibre internet. We would cook together or take turns (so make sure you can cook some interesting vegetarian dish...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi, a couple from Perú and Germany. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About a year ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish abundant food forests, including local and foreign varieties, using natural, regenerative methods like permaculture,...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Devon - We would love some help with the garden, clearing, weeding, strimming and mowing, tidying, tending our vegetable garden, chopping firewood, fencing, general repairs. Helping with chickens. Some house cleaning on wet weather days. Sometimes the work outside can be quite heavy so you must be strong and fit, and willing to work in all weathers! We live in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are a retired couple but still run our musical instrument repairs business and we are always in need of some help. We love to play traditional folk music in local pubs and also for morris dancing. We live in an old cottage in a village with a coffee shop and a pub. We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical. We have 2 ‘rescue’ dogs - a friendly terrier and a Romanian street dog who takes a little while to get used to new friends. We anticipate help for approx 5 hours per day, with a 15 min tea break, so overall 2...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bicycles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente antioqueño". The work is diverse and we usually ask for about 4-5 hours of help per day. Normally we do three days of work and one day off. The days start with Agnihotra and Yoga and then a hearty breakftast. We offer accommodation and three meals a day. We love food and cooking, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen preparing healthy, delicious meals. If you like to cook, we are more than happy to taste your flavors! For now we ask for seven to ten days, or perhaps more depending on current projects. We just finished building our woodfire oven for bread and pizza making! We are pet lovers, at the moment have six dogs and three cats, most of them were adopted. Please let us know if you are interested, love to have you on board!

Quadra Island is a popular place for those who love the outdoors. Besides hiking and biking there are whale watching tours, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. Our community is very friendly and guests are warmly received. Come and join a pair of well advanced seniors who have a large no till vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, poultry and three cows. We live 5 kilometers form the island's main shopping center and the ferry to Campbell River. We are happy to share what we know and have learned over the years. Some of our chores include pruning, fencing, weeding, mulching and planting the vegetable garden, putting firewood away, clearing fence lines and an array of ongoing general maintenance to be done. You can help with that.. We are currently in an unusual situation. Bill is in hospital and is expected home soon. He gets around with a walker and I would like someone to be with us to help with our usual chores and also stay with Bill while I do outside chores. An adult son wil...

Hi, I'm Floyd and I started building from scratch a little indoor Gourmet and Medicinal mushroom farm. There is quiet a lot to do between growing, building, running the farm and selling at the farmers markets. For the moment I do all by myself, actually the worst is done, but still growing and improving it. I built the farm in an old wood sawmill, behind an old big mill area. The area is cool and calm surrounded by vegetation and 3 villages less than 1km in each directions (Pompaples, Orny, La Sarraz). Of course I can share my knowledge about mushrooms and how to grow them, about biology, and many other things, I'm always glade to spread the little I know as well as learning from my new friend :) I speak fluently French and English, pretty well Spanish, some Italian, and learned basic Japanese and Chinese. I would love to continue work on these 2 languages. I'm living in a big 18th century house, belonging to my aunt and her pet, a few kilometers from the farm and there is one free ro...

We offer meditation and yoga retreats in a beautiful house located 3 minutes walk from a wonderful and un-touristy sandy beach. We are looking to expand our team with volunteer people at least for two months or longer but never shorter, depending how all is flowing for all of us. We need help with cleaning the facilities, preparing rooms, maintaining the garden, taking care of the chickens and helping in the kitchen. We are inviting you to come and stay and help with the building and running of a 3 acre smallholding, a 1.5 acre orchard, and 212 acres of pristine rainforest in a remote area of Belize. You can find below the bullet points for the overall project. For now, we need people to help with the smallholding and the orchard, and the daily running of the place, including gardening, some farming, some building, care of the animals (many chickens, ducks, guys, turkeys, some sheep, some goats, two milking cows). Over the next few months, we are planning to do some more building (a wooden cabin on stilts, a clay oven from local clay, and the further development of our 40-ft container and porch, where our solar system, electrics and fibre-optic Internet connection are located. If you have any kind of skills with sustainable, simple building, that is a preferred bonus. You need to be comfortable living primitively. You will have the possibility to learn the whole spectrum of organic regenerative agr...

We are located on the Vatnsnes Peninsula, 25km north of road no. 1. Ósar ocean beach is full of life. Seals abound and also eider ducks and other birds, and the rock Hvítserkur, which resembles a prehistoric Dinosaur, is within walking distance. The unspoiled nature, peaceful environment and a variety of recreation opportunities makes this an ideal place. In only about 5 min walk you are in unusually close contact with nature. Here guests can see a number of different birds and one of Iceland`s biggest colonies of seals, swimming only a few meters from the beach. We are offering a help exchange, we are offering helpers to come and stay with us in exchange for help on the farm, or with the Hostel.. That could be helping cleaning rooms, or doing reception, on the farm it could be fence work, or helping with the animals. A superb place for nature lovers

Groenendaal is a beautiful, hilly area of the municipality of Hoeilaart, with beautiful old villas and at a 2-minute walk from the vast Forest de Soignes. There I live, together with my two dogs Saffran and Kira, in a spacious house surrounded by garden and forest land of 1.5 hectares. To maintain that large garden and the forest, I would like the help of someone who is not necessarily specialised in gardening, but who likes some solid outdoor work. I'm thinking, for example, of splitting wood or clearing out rampant plants. For the really heavy work, there is the help of Ramzan, a Chechen who lives in a cottage in the garden with his small family. Indoors, too, there are some clearance tasks on the to-do list The helper, preferably someone who loves dogs, will have his own room, bathroom and toilet. Through my activities and commitments, he or she will get to know many new people. Groenendaal station is a 10-minute walk away, and the train will take you into the centre of Brussels, th...

We live on a suburban block in Denmark township. You can walk to town where there is yoga, cafes, shops etc. We are a family of four and run our little property as naturally as we can. We have a lovely large garden and vegetable patch and many fruit trees. Your accommodation is a powered studio in our garden, you'll have a little fridge and kettle (bathroom in the house). You'll be sharing a bathroom with our daughters so we are only looking to host females please. We would love some energetic travellers who enjoy garden/outdoor work to help maintain the property or perhaps you have another skill you could offer? We are looking for helpers in the garden and occasionally for some household chores. You can access town by walking but to make the most of the area (and beaches) you would need a car. We will show you the local area when we can and share information about where to go and what to do in this beautiful part of the world. We enjoy meeting people and sharing stories about travel...

//2024: only through May - June and September - October we still have some places, summer is "booked" fully// If the photos did the job (waking your interest, that is), you must be a nature-and-mountain-and-beautiful-scenery-lover, so a big part of who we are happy to live and work with for a while is already done. If you are not discouraged by mostly a lot of (could be) quite repetitive physical work, then you will not suffer either:) So, to the work first: most of the time it will be earth and plants related. Matej is developing a job/business/vocation in the world of herbs and during late spring/summer/early autumn there is always some picking/weeding/drying/processing of wild/cultivated plants to do. We still grow some berries for processing and sale, but reoriented more into selfsufficent farming: growing as much food we can for our own use, which again means planting, weeding, harvesting, processing, storing it. During bad weather or in colder part of the year there are more d...

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

We have a vacancy at the moment, so feel free to contact us if you’re interested in coming out to the country and exploring farm life? You will have a unique experience here, and many different opportunities to do things you may not get to do anywhere else! Suitable for a couple as we have a queen room available in our home, and there would be days when we are at work and not here, so it may be better to be with a friend. Please note, if we contact you, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please reply, even if you’re not interested, as we would rather know, and may be waiting on your response to organise other helpers. Thank you 😊 Happy for people who love animals and outside work to contact us. Also looking for some farm and house work help too. We try to grow everything that we eat so we have an extensive veggie garden and orchard if you like working in nature! If you like soccer (football) then there are two kids here who will love to kick a ball around! There may also...

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. I must finish preparing the terraces and the garden for winter planting. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 5 domestic geese, two chickens, two dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, planting organic plots, habitual garden work, Cleaning the Forrest, building a new lodge for the geese. I'd also like help to build a traditional kitchen and central heating installation with pellet syst...

Come enjoy Central Kentucky and stay on an American farm! We are centrally located in the United States. Major cities like Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati are all within a couple hours drive. Chicago and Atlanta are 6-8 hours away for the weekend. We raise Kiko meat goats and are expecting around 25 kids for the 2023-2024 kidding season. We also have a horse, two dogs, and two cats. We have hosted exchanges in the past from countries including Germany, Spain, Colombia, and The Netherlands. We enjoy having people from diverse cultures live with us. My wife (Carolina) and I met indirectly through an exchange program. We have one daughter (Elena), an exchange daughter (Jolina) and some nieces and nephews who sometimes visit. We would love for someone to come stay with us and help on our farm. We currently have 17 adult Kiko goats, 11 babies, and are expecting 13-15 babies between now and April. With two adults working full time and a high school aged daughter involved i...
