We are a small family living in the true Australian bush, kangaroos surround us in the paddocks and kookaburras wake us in the mornings. Not too far from the shops but far enough away to experience the peace, the sunsets, the stars and bushland without neighbors. We welcome travellers who offer some help around the house, they like animals, enjoy bush walking, mountain bike riding and want an experience amongst the gum leaves. We are a family of four with many animals including a cat, a horse and two beautiful very friendly dogs. The children (3) are working, going to University and at secondary school. I work from home and have a small business. Some of the easy jobs you could help out with are stacking, collecting and splitting wood for the fires, gardening, some fence repairs, cooking, and or cleaning. It's not all work though as there are so many great things to do and explore in the area for example; mountain bike riding through the bush with kilometres of tracks all 100mtrs ...

Our Place: We live on a 4.5-acre lifestyle property about 20 minutes from Tauranga with a few sheep, a goat, chickens, ducks, and an inside dog. There is a bush area with a stream meandering through. We are newly establishing an organic food forest, vegetable gardens, and medicinal herb areas. Some to harvest for use in our home Natural Health Clinic and dispensary as I (Kim) am a homeopath, herbalist, and Bowen practitioner. It is a bit of a wilderness here and starting to get on top of us, so it is past due time to action what we have thought about doing for a couple of years. That is to get some help and meet travelers from around the world and show them our local area. We are close to Kaimai range bush walks, other local walks, rivers, stunning waterfalls (Omanawa Falls, Mclaren Falls), and swimming areas as well as a beautiful local park with a lake, animal park, lots of bird life and frisbee golf. Accommodation and Meals There is a separate cabin from the house for sleeping (que...

We previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 15 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. We are a family with two young kids (10 and 13), originally from Germany. We live on Miramar peninsula and grow organic veggies and a little bit of fruit in summer. Our modern home is close to the airport, beaches, Weta Cave, shops and a movie theatre. We are looking for open, friendly people who enjoy spending time around kids and don't mind to join into family routines. We are looking for helpers from 9 May for about a week for a variety of tasks including gardening, walking the dog, looking after the kids and household jobs. If you are also on Wwoof.co.nz please check our reviews there. Please note that the room with a queen size bed we are offering is not a full standing height room. It is a space separated off through glass and curtains. It has a window and skylight to watch the stars when you are lying in bed. You have to climb up a short pool ladder to get there.

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi, a couple from Perú and Germany. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About a year ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish abundant food forests, including local and foreign varieties, using natural, regenerative methods like permaculture,...

And we love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle.

We live on 10 acres of waterfront on Hastings bay close to Hastings caves and thermal pool, surf beaches and the southwest wilderness. We own an old Tasmanian fishing boat which we maintain and use often for fishing and sailing. Anders is originally from Denmark and enjoys fishing, sailing, bee keeping, wood craft and building. Jane is a ceramsist and works from her home studio producing work for exhibitions, galleries and markets. She also loves gardening, bush walking cycling and sailing. We have 2 very friendly dogs living here I too ! We have a kitchen garden and small orchard and maintain about 4 acres of cleared land around the home. We enjoy visits from enthusiastic travelers willing to share our place with us. Common work here includes help with firewood, gardening, fencing and working on the boat. Right now we need help in the garden, and fire wood stacking and help on our new build. Someone who likes to have a go at a bit of landscaping would be great ! We have a separate cabi...

We like to take our boat out as much as possible when weather permits to explore all the ...

I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

INTRODUCTION... Hello my name's Linda. I am a Queens English speaking intelligent lady, in her late 50's. Animal LOVER. BUT NOW on with my next about turn adventure and BIG life change having bought a very old part renovated Cortijo/FARMHOUSE in Spain, Andulucia, Granada Province on the beautiful but windy Costa Tropical famous for its exotic fruit and vegetable growing. I am 7km inland from the sea a 15/20 minutes by car journey down the gulley's mountain track from the Barranco/Ravine and Rambla/Riverbed to the coasts traditional fishing village Castell de Ferro, officially named as one of the Magical Villages of Spain on the coast below the sea and mountainous Alpujarra's and Sierra Nevada's. ***Looking for a roofer or someone who has experience with fixing roofs. It's a single storey flat roof*** We running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of three cabins, Sue's cabin, Tim & Ruth's cabin and the very small Guest Cabin. Also, there is an upstairs private guestroom with private entrance. We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cat, dog, and honeybees. Sue is a fourth-generation beek...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. And we always take our HelpX guests for a sail in our sailboat, Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our...

Our farm has a 2000sqm glasshouse that has a variety of strawberries, chillis and peppers that are grown using organic sprays and utilising predators under the IPM programme. We have not been on the farm very long and are learning as we go and we would love to share our experiences with others and learn off them as well. We are willing to open our home and farm to share our wonderful life to the right people that are positive and pro-active. We have 2 labrador dogs, Buddy (Chocolate Lab) Tui (Black Lab) an PJ (an amercian short haired cat) so being an animal lovers is a must. We have both travelled extensively throughout the world and we enjoy learning about other countries cultures and the awesome people in them. We are very hard workers and would appreciate any assistance that could be given. We have a large top story house that our guest share with us for general living while providing newly renovated twin airconditioned container accomadation next to the main house so you can h...

Hi folks, YES, we achieved a lot since returning from a 3+ year break in Feb 2022, beautifying our wonderful property, something we could not have done on our own. We are thankful for having had great assistance from amazing volunteers over the years, enriching our lives culturally and socially while progressing our beautification projects. We are a fit & energetic older couple with the following background: - Rene, 68yo, Swiss origin, Architect / Photographer / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur / Handyman (DIY Building) / Landscaper / Gardener . - Julie, 64yo, Philippine origin, Chef / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur. Our hosting, as well as workflow, is intermediate, as such, we may have breaks in between and preferences & requirements may change. With most of the earlier days' heavy lifting on structural projects done, our current projects are more along fine-tunin...
