We are a family of three who have moved to Tasmania from Victoria in Jan 2019 to build our own house. While we have been comfortably living in our new home for several years now, there is always plenty of gardening, landscaping and general maintenance to be done around the property. We can do accommodation and meals in exchange for general help around the property and house site providing a comfortable, separate accommodation with own bathroom. We have hosted helpX and aupairs from all over the world for several years and still consider those that stayed with us as family! St Marys is a very friendly small town at the gateway to the East coast. Only 15 min drive through the St Marys Pass will see you at stunning beaches all along the coast line. We are 1.5 hours drive from Launceston (bus is available from town) and 2.5 hours from Hobart.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables and fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the winter months. We love company of other people, and love having visitors. There would be plenty of chances to be alone, if that is what one is looking for. We are both retired teachers that would be happy to help you improve your knowledge of English. We offer homestay experience. We can lend you a bicycle to do your own exploring, you can hike, take a bus or train to go further afield. We also like to explore the area and show it to our visitors. We are located 10km from Spain. We have fibre internet. We would cook together or take turns (so make sure you can cook some interesting vegetarian dish...

Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living in the suburbs of Newcastle about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home(15yo & 17yo), enjoy cafes and going to the beach and playing in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and our two kids attend the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time fixing (renovating) houses and love to have people to work with. Help at work Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (normally 3 x 7.5 hour days - we tend to stop for half hour to have lunch in the middle but could also be spread over more days with less hours), fixing the place up and then spend the other time at your leisure. Ideally we are looking for helpers who have been involved in building or renovating (or are keen to learn) but we also are looking fo...

Hi! We are Steve and Johanna, a couple who decided to buy a property with magical views and a shearing shed on the top of a mountain. This venue is very exposed and not for the faint-hearted in wild weather! But when the sun shines it's truly paradise. We converted the shearing shed into a home and have now been here 20 months. We have a small shed next to the house which contains a sleeping "capsule", complete with double bed, lights, mirror, clothes hanging space etc. We are currently looking for someone strong and fit who loves to work outside. If you have experience with hard landscapung..setting up formwork for concrete etc perhaps our place is for you. There is always weeding and planting to do as well...send us a message or give us a call. If you like to explore, there are plenty of slopes to wander over, plus some beautiful NZ bush. We have 2 energetic Foxy/ Jack Russell puppies who roam and play and love attention. We love the interactions with our HelpX guests and the variety...

I am an English woman. I live in a large property, in Saint Maur des Bois, 50800; opposite a medieval church. William the Conqueror used to have a chateau here but it has long gone now. I would like ideally to find someone to stay with me long term, but I love to host shorter stays too. I love meeting new people. Help needed in the garden with weeding, cleaning , animal care and general home maintenance. The garden isn't huge, but I can't lift heavy stuff any more. I am fairly easy going and treat our helpers as part of the family. The house is not far from the golden beaches at Granville, great for swimming. Le Mont St. Michel is about 30 minutes by car or bus. Christian Dior Museum and Gardens are 20 mins away by train. The closest large town is Villedieu les Poeles, famous for its bell foundry and medieval buildings. Today there are many arts and craft studios and a thriving café culture. WWII landing beaches are to the North. Loads of museums, history and sights. Paris is about 3...

Hi - need to host a single male to with heavy lifting occasionally, (trees, renovation wood pieces inside) and help with making my magnificent property even greater. Maleny is in the hills a short distance from Brisbane by train or bus. It is semi tropical and stunningly beautiful and I'm a landscaper and artist who is transforming the property into an even better oasis for animals and the environment. I'm 49 and fit, health conscious male, I'm educated, traveled and enjoy massive walks daily with my dog. He's tiny and amazing - rescued and has incredible character. The property is quiet and over one acre and a short walk from stunning world renowned views. The accommodation is an end of the house - whole area with large aerial artistic viewing deck, B/room, lounge, toilet and floor - *except shared food preparation and kitchen (could have outdoor deck cooking area) and laundry (working on that). The garden is large, semi tropical and beautiful - with greenhouse, ponds, wood anim...

Dear volunteers, my name is Nicola, I'm 30 and I live (and grew up) in a farmhouse in the not much known north-eastern corner of Italy, Friuli. I opened this host profile six years ago, in the year when I helped my dad running his farm. During that time I had the luck to host some of the best volunteers I could hope for, and even tho it feels like ages ago I still keep great memories of that experience. Since then, lots of things had changed: my dad is not around anymore, and the place can't be properly called a "farm". My dad used to keep sheep, wild-range pigs in the woods and other animals, and to cultivate our 3 hectares of land... while now in the woods has moved a small pack of roe deers, and in the morning you can see them browse undisturbed in the fields! Other current non-human inhabitants are our 30 hens, two cats, and my mum's dogs. Nowadays, after moving back from Venice where I lived for some years for uni, I work as a librarian in a nearby town's public library. But sinc...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

UPDATE (07.05.2024): As we had problems with our previous volunteer we urgently need 1 to 2 people to help us with the beds and housekeeping as soon as possible (If you can stay for the whole season that would be amazing but just 1 to 2 months is also possible). Send us a message if you would like to join our team. Hi fellow helpers and travelers, We are a family-run guesthouse/hostel in the heart of Dubrovnik, Croatia which is ranked as the most popular traveling destination in the country.

Holly travels a lot for work, so wont be guaranteed to be here during your stay. We try and have a healthy lifestyle, we have free range chicken, raise our own meat, have veggie gardens, fruit trees etc, We have a lot of animals on our small farm, chicken, sheep, cows and two old cats.
