It’s brilliant being in the Punjabi region of India – I’ve been here since early November and I was joined by a companion from Croatia, Tomas, who has left to meditate in Rishikesh. We went for a trip to Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama in the Himalayas - spectacular but touristy! We travelled together with some of the students at a rural school in FATEHGARH PANJTOOR and Jatinder, the man who built it in the 1990's. It's a rural, village school surrounded by farms not far from Amritsar city; a great place to do some volunteering and to appreciate life in rural India. Before the 'COVID' fraud, the school had many more students and volunteers, and Jatinder is appreciative of any helpers coming his way. El Vagabundo by Gibran Khalil Gibran is a small book of poetry I found in one of those small, street-side kiosks in Colombia and here’s a beautiful poem to share with our fellow travelling souls… Lo encontré en las encrucijadas, un hombre que sólo llevaba una capa y un báculo, y un velo de dolor sobre el rostro. Y nos saludamos, y le dije: - Ven a mi casa y sé mi huésped. Y vino. Mi mujer y mis hijos nos encontraron en la entrada y él les sonrió, y a ellos les agradó que llegara. And in the North Island I really want to see the West Coast, Rotorua and the Coromandel.
