I hadn’t originally thought much about finding a travel buddy through HelpX, but after being away from home for a while, I’ve started to see the appeal of having someone to occasionally share parts of the journey with. Right now I’m in Panama until around mid-September, and after that I’m pretty open. I’d like to continue exploring Central America or make my way into South America, but beyond that I’m trying to stay flexible and let opportunities shape the route a bit rather than planning every detail too far ahead. At some point I’d also love to spend time in Mexico, Europe, and parts of Asia, especially if I can do it slowly and intentionally rather than racing from place to place. Whether any of that actually unfolds the way I imagine it is another question entirely. I once rented a room from a woman who used to say, “If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a Merry Christmas,” which honestly feels like a pretty accurate description of long-term travel planning. So really, I’m just open to conversations. If our travel styles, timing, or general outlook seem compatible, I’d be happy to chat and see whether our paths might line up for a while.
