I’m a 20-year-old third-year university student living in Beijing, China, and I’m planning to volunteer in Iceland for about two weeks sometime between January 19th and February 14th during my winter break. Hello! I'm thinking of going to Asia, open to anywhere except China, Japan, India and South Korea. I would prefer South-East Asia in general for travel. I have never been to Asia, and if I travel so far from home, I don't want to be alone! I would like to go with someone else, and have someone to watch my back, and I watch yours. If we become great friends, wonderful! A few things you should know about me: I travelled before in Europe for 5 years after finishing school, and saving up money for a bit, and doing odd jobs in between. So I'm not a stranger to travel, and am quite fit, so I have mental strength when it comes to travel. But Asia is a whole different thing to Europe. I don't like to party, go to bars, nightclubs, and places like that. I don't drink, and I also prefer social environments where you don't need to drink just to be more open. I am open to talking to people anyway. I prefer to go explore the beautiful sights, try diving, swimming at beaches, and talking to locals (if possible), try new foods (I have a really adventurous appetite), and maybe go to a dance class somewhere as a way to meet locals (I dance Swing)... maybe dance at the beach? :) There is more we can do, those are just ideas. I think I'd make a great travel companion: steady, calm, resourceful, considerate, centered, and with a good sense of humour to make you laugh, with stories to tell. I have a very happy life at home, but it's nice to explore new horizons. So what will we do? We can do a mix of things: volunteering somewhere, doing Couchsurfing, and I'd love to spend at least 2 nights in a 4 star hotel, just to REALLY enjoy myself while away, and it isn't too expensive to do in Asia in general! I'm flexible, without a very fixed plan in mind, but the 2 nights in a hotel is definitely something I want to do, whether it's 2 nights in one go, or separate! What kind of person do I look for? Man or woman, doesn't matter. I prefer ages 27 - 43. I just find this is the best age range from experience. If you really like my impression, but are just 1-2 years out of that age range, and feel you match my vibe and like my impression, feel free still. You have to know English somewhat... otherwise I speak Spanish, French, German and Italian, if you prefer. No drugs please. I don't want to get into trouble. No smoking. If you drink, I'm OK with that, but control yourself, I'm not going to be your guardian or minder if you can't control your drinking and ability to think. I would prefer if you didn't snore. I don't snore, and if we have to share a room due to circumstances, it's important to be able to sleep well. When to go to Asia? Like I said, I'm open to different places, and also open to dates throughout the year. My idea is to write for just a bit, and then have video calls with each other, so we can see if we like each other enough and have an affinity, so we can enjoy travelling together. I will leave you with a tip to look for cheaper flights: Jacks Flight Club and Secret Flying are great, in my experience. Look forward to hearing from you!

We come from a family of four kids and grew up in the countryside of France in a little village of less than 100 people, where we like to help our father in the garden. We are very close to our family and we spend our time together by gathering around a meal for hours, playing board games or even going for a hike. We've been living with dogs and cats all of our life and are more than at ease around them, or any other animal for that matter.
