I am a Canadian solo traveller in Australia open to meeting and working with other travellers. I love nature, hiking, camping, swimming and trying new foods and experiences.

I’ll be in Sydney from October to December 2026 and would love to meet other travellers or HelpX members along the way. I enjoy travelling solo, but I also like meeting new people, exploring new places and sharing experiences. Heya! My name is Valentin, also 26 years old. I was in highschool with Flavien. I volunteered along Flavien in the Moose Park in Sweden. Heyaa! And I am Valentin, also 25 years old, and also coming from Alsace: yeah, we have been in highschool together! I am currently working in vineyards and when I'm done with the current season, I plan to join and visit Sweden with Flavien; it will be my first time as a helper. I've been travelling, with my parents since I'm a child, in some places in Europe mostly Mediterranean's, I have also been in America and Australia during summer camps, additionally I had the chance to visit some fjords in Norway a few years ago. I like to discover new places and cultures and learn about ancient civilizations. Friendly and comprehensive, I am always open to new experiences. I can speak French fluently, but English a bit less since I'm almost only using it in writing, but I can still make myself understandable and intend to improve myself! I graduated in computer science (msc) and I will be starting my new job in Lyon, once I will be back, in early September. So I am not afraid of computers! I have some experience in catering, accounting, service and cleaning as I already worked in a self-service restaurant, where I had to occupy all of the positions depending on the day. I've also been working in vineyards since last year.

If possible, I would like to have a female companion, but this is not necessary

I’d love to meet someone as long as we are going to the same direction. I think when we are traveling solo we are very focused on our plans, but since I have left social media I feel much closer to companies i find in my way and many of them have become friends for life.

it would be awesome just to meet some good solid folks to travel and go surfing with.

I'm flying to La Paz on the 4th of May and backpacking to Lima for a month. I'm open to a companion for some or most of the trip. I'm an explorer and like to just wander around. More an old school backpacker than a modern tourist traveller. Obviously I'll be doing some of the sites that will be rampant with tourists but you know, sometimes you've got to take a few hits.
