We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

****taking bookings for September October 2026**** I have been a Helpx and similar host for 12 years and have really enjoyed meeting, mentoring and sharing my life with so many travellers from every corner of the world. In January 2025, I started a new adventure, moving from Lowden Ridge, my beautiful scenic 100 acre working farm (where i maintained a productive olive grove and also raised cattle, sheep and goats), to a much smaller and tranquil 8 acre hobby farm which I have nicknamed Shady Acres. The new property is set amongst a majestic grove of eucalyptus trees, and is located in Irish Town, just 5 minutes north of the town of Donnybrook. In the last 16 months, with the help of some wonderful backpackers, I have built new fences, new veggie gardens, started a new orchard of fruit and nut trees, built small shelters for the goats and revamped the old chicken coop. I am currently seeking helpers to continuing growing my new farm. Some of the projects planned in the coming m...

We are a family living in the beautiful village of Herand in the middle of Hardanger. We live close to the fjord and have an accounting firm and a software company that we live off of + some rental of beds in the summer. We have a small greenhouse and a small farm where we have some vegetables. Summer is a busy time and we need 2-3 positive people to help us with different work. We live by the harbour, and have a small farm 2 km away. We have boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. You can use a cabin in the mountains if you wish. The area is well suited for walking or cycling. Normal working hours are 4-5 hours per day.

Hey travelers, this listing is available from now. I'm looking for someone who is chill and easygoing, and would enjoy spending time in a peaceful environment in one of Londons most desirable East London inner city neighborhood: Stoke Newington, Hackney. Looking for 4 hours a day. It'll mostly be light gardening (clearing weeds, cutting a hedge), laying down weed suppression fabric. And some indoor cleaning. Maybe some decorating (painting walls). This is accommodation only, however, you're welcome to help yourself to spices, oil etc and any vegetables in the fridge. Ideal for someone independent who loves working on their own. And can entertain themselves. I'm male, neurodivergent, with a keen interest in philosophy, sufism, and meaningful conversations. I'm extremely well travelled, and love road trips. I normally spend a few months of the year traveling, Early this year I spend a few months driving across South Africa. However, I have a disabling autoimmune condition and ...

A fantastic site, a crazy project, nice animals and two eccentrics in search of an improbable conversion. Here's what you'll find in the middle of the ruins of a medieval castle and its outbuildings. We left Britanny to the Hautes-Pyrénées ten years ago, to begin this life project as ambitious as exciting. With our garden and animals, we try to develop an craft business incubator, as well as a an artistic school. we also hope to work wit associations to save the ruins of the castel! Located 450m above sea level in the Pyrenean foothills, our little corner of paradise requires numerous works of all kinds to regain its former glory and to adapt to future projects: land clearing and building, logging, preservation of stone walls, development of livestock buildings and places of life ... in short, a work of many lives that we began for the rest of both ours. There's no luxury, no excessive mechanization, limited means, but a warm welcome and plenty of goodwill. The work is at an early st...

Hei, here is Monica and Mario During the pandemic our life changed radically and we are now living in the beautiful island of Skrova, most known as Lofoten's Little Hawaii!! Monica is from Portugal, 35 years old and Mario from USA (half Norwegian/Sicilian....) 34 years old. The atmosphere on the island is very relaxed and friendly! It's a small island and since we are the only cafe/restaurant, give us the oportunity to have a very strong conection with the local comunity. Volunteers that stay with us have the oportunity to meet and get close to locals and local life. We we like to go for walks, kayaking, paddle boarding, spend time in nature, eat some nice food (Mario is a great cook) and have some chats with a glass of red wine (preference under the shy Norwegian Sun ;) oh and we loooove to use the sauna!!! ;) We have various projects going on: - A little guesthouse with 15 rooms - a local cafe/restaurant, set in a beautiful 200 years old building - Our house: small tasks around ...

Yassas ! So, we got this little piece of paradise. It is perfect as it is, so what we are about is to just make it more welcoming and playful, have fun while working on it, and all this time keeping it natural and harmonious. It isnt a business, but a playground. And so we gather a small eclectic team twice a year to work the land, its perfect as it is, but there is a vision, a place we can camp and cultivate facilities gradually while enjoying time together, doing, eating, chatting and chilling on the beach. *** The 12th session will take place starting 15th of septmber for some 2-3 weeks, just after the wave of tourism has receded, perfect weather conditions to enjoy nature and beach. on the menu : terrace building, bramble hunt, water system rebuild, wood finishes on the octagon hut, olives trim and who know what else ****** The kind of projects we do (an endless list that grows faster than we knock it out) : Always pushing back the rebel wild bramble bush to free more olive/...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Good morning;. I went on the Wagon Train in Montana like I have since 1983. We had a bad wreck, I got hurt. My left leg still breaks open. It was a very nasty cut. Please come help me. I am now able to ride the ride on mower and get mowing done. The helper who had been here just over 3 years [yes years],moved . He works in town full time, stayed here for free and helped with chores. I really need the help. I do need someone for the winter months for sure. I have had 3 really great helpers already this year and 1 vanishing act. Too funny. Not as much to do as most years. Painting will have to get done this year. Hello! If you’re a solo traveler looking for a peaceful, safe, nature filled place to stay, we’d really love to hear from you. We currently have availability from Monday September 7th to September to September 14th and September 18th to September 25th. We pause hosting from November to March because the heat and humidity make outdoor work uncomfortable — focusing on the cooler months means your stay is far more enjoyable, relaxed, and productive. 🌱 Who We Are We’re Craig and Yvonne, easy going retirees in our late sixties who’ve built our dream life on a forested acreage (not a farm) overlooking Wallis Lake and the Pacific Ocean. We love welcoming curious, kind, nature loving helpers into our home and creating a safe, calm, and friendly environment — especially for solo travelers who appreciate comfort and respect. 🛠️ Your Role (Flexible & Supportive) We’d like you to help us in the mornings, five flexible half days a week, starting early, with tasks you can choose from, such as:...

Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early October. We are fully booked until then. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook.

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Hi, Future Helpers! I’m an easy-going 44-year-old single woman living in Mokpo, a city in southwestern South Korea. It’s about 3.5 hours from Seoul by KTX and is a city rich in history and culture. And the FOOD here is truly AMAZING!! I’ve always enjoyed challenging myself and experiencing new things. I spent three wonderful years in Australia and 12 years in New Zealand, and I’ve travelled to around 25 countries. Yes, I’ve also done WWOOFing with more than 40 families in five different countries! One of my dreams has always been to become a host myself, and guess what? I finally came home in January 2021 because of the pandemic. Now I can host people!! I’m a qualified social worker, and I currently work at a residential childcare facility from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. We look after 44 children(8~22yo), and my main role is to support the older teenagers and young adults as they prepare for university, employment, and independent life. We’re looking for kind, positive peopl...

Hi There! My place is the odd one out on Helpx... a beautiful spot and feels rural but is actually right in close and easy walking distance to Hobart city with all her charms! About a ten minute downhill stroll to the water front and city. A little longer on the way home depending how fit you are. There is free parking on the road if you have a car but no issues getting around if you don't. I'm also very happy to drive you places you wish to go or visit. I'm a hard working small business owner in the city who loves nature and being near water during my down time. Meeting new people and share living are two things I have done most of my life and love...I find HelpX is great for this and I've met some great new friends over the years as a HelpX host. My spare room has a queen sized bed so is suitable for a single (superhero) helper or a couple, it's a really quiet and comfortable place. I like to cook for and with helpers and always make sure you have everything you need to eat and b...

So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. 👉🏼 For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. 👉🏼 My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai. At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are Said (36) from the Sahara and Linde (33) from the Netherlands. It is our pleasure to meet you here in Project Bani Hayoune Garden! Said comes from a big Amazigh-Tuareg family. After growing up in the Sahara desert and living many years a nomadic life, his family settled down in a village called Tagounite. Now Said lives next to the small village Beni Hayoun, 4 kilometers outside Tagounite. Here, we are working on recovering 200-year old adobe house. Behind the house there is a large garden which needs a lot of care and work. Our aim is to make the land green again, bring the oasis life back and to grow enough food for us and for the community. Linde is an artist from the Netherlands & Denmark and also co-founder of the project. Her past experience includes working in Waldorf kindergartens, creating workshops with children and families in a refugee center, and caring for people in homes for the disabled. While living in the project & house for most of the year, Linde helps in ...

That is outside on the little buildings. 2 barn doors need repairs. Please respond when I send an invitation. I wait and wait and so many do not reply. Thank you to those who do. Due to my health, i have gotten behind.. I hope to see many more new friends in 2026. If you have not been to Saskatchewan, You are missing sheer beauty and so many things to see and do.

Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. The city also supports some ancient spiritual caves and temples. It is active in mov...
