[Sorry, we aren't currently able to host!] In 2023, we moved to a small 6ha farm which is mainly used for grazing horses. It has a couple of waterways running through the paddocks, and around 2ha of natural wetlands which were drained many decades ago. Our plan is to gradually plant native grasses and trees along the waterways, and eventually restore the wetlands to their natural glory. We need some help caring for all the new plantings – depending on the season this could be shovelling horse manure around the plants (spring), clearing weeds (spring), using a wood chipper to create mulch (spring/summer), or planting more trees (autumn/winter). We're pretty flexible though, and would also appreciate help with our vegetable garden, fruit trees, cooking & cleaning, dog-walking, fixing sheds, and maybe even some babysitting (our daughter was born in July 2025). Whatever you prefer! We generally ask for around 3-4 hours of help per day, 5 days per week, in exchange for a private room, co...

CLEANING, COOKING, GARDENING, PLAYING MUSIC, are all things that I appreciate assistance with. Hi, I live in Bundaberg city 5km from the post office, and enjoy having travellers stay here in return for help around the house and yard, gardening, mowing, housekeeping/cleaning, general maintenance, etc. on my 1000 square meter block. If you have special skills tell me or if cooking is your thing then you would be especially welcome. I love all kinds of ethnic food and can be flexible as to work and leisure hours. Please message me via helpx in advance, so that I may read your completed, up to date, detailed profile. Generally, I like to have guests for two or three weeks but longer stays are also possible. Solo or couples are very welcome. Unfortunately I cannot sign for 2nd year visa. Accommodation is in spare bedroom, also includes washing, use of bicycles, and other perks in return for 2 hours per day help. Helpers are to provide or share food costs. My house is a “TV Free Zone”, but...

ABOUT THE PLACE AND MYSELF. A warm welcome to all those people who wants to share a transition towards sustainability and ecological life In 2010 me and my partner decided to quit our jobs and buy a small piece of land facing Mt. Etna and the Mediterranean sea. The garden was owned by Don Alfio, who was giving us all his personal know-how on how to run a vegetable garden, maintain an olives orchard and making wine. The garden has 120 olive trees, 100 various fruit trees, a small vineyard and a vegetable garden. Here we produce a small amount of organic Olive Oil EVO, Natural Red Wine and the veggies necessary to our diet. My project want to involve as many persons as possible to choose an ecological way of life for the future of our planet. WHAT WE DO WITH THE VOLUNTEERS. I try to always work aside with volunteers, sharing my knowledge about how to live in a more sustainable way. The timetable can not be perfectly fixed in advance as it depends from the kind of work we are going to...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

Kia ora! We are a VEGAN family of four, with two energetic daughters aged 6 and 8. My husband is a medical professional and I am a busy stay at home mum. We live in St Clair, Dunedin, a beautiful costal suburb and popular surf spot, with a super lively cafe culture. We are looking for someone (female only) to help out with light housekeeping, tidying, odd jobs, organisation, occasional gardening and some food preparation. Being able to look around and see what needs doing is definitely a bonus. Also if you are into arts and crafts of any kind our 8yr old is super creative and would love to learn from you! The hours would usually include a couple of hours in the morning and some time in the afternoon or early evening. Generally 3- 4 hrs per day. I am a keen foodie and love creating delicious plant based meals. As some help with food preparation will be required being either vegan or vegetarian is essential!! The right person for us would need to like children and cats! There are m...

It’s been around 6 years since I last had help and things have changed ! I was labelled with a type of arthritis that affects my ligaments that attach to joints and I have had a total complex knee replacement 20 months ago , I am slower and can’t do to much physical stuff any more! I no longer trade as a reiki and sound fork practitioner , I just do a bit of work on myself! So I am not as mobile but didn’t stop me from 3 weeks away in the outer Hebrides this month April! I need help to weeding and clearing the weeds from the gardens! And I need to clear another outside lean too of junk . I also have the sound shack to clear out as well ( shed in garden) . Also painting the outside of the properties fenced ( they are being replaced in about 6 months) shed , gazebo and jet washing paths . I have posted the pictures of what needs doing! I am also looking for someone who is creative to turn the gazebo into a sort of cool space boxing it in using old doors ! I need to get more door...

Off-grid living, building and tourism. Form February it will be the projects again! There's plenty to do on the land, making this place even more beautiful than it already is. Tasks during the next months include: First we will be building 3 outside wood fired bath tubs on different spots. Then, Expanding the area for the donkeys. Creating a new water system for irrigation and grey water. Building building another shower and toilet block. There's some fencing work for a new vegetable garden and orchard and much more... The short periods that the weather is not favorable to be outside we'll be doing ton of finishing jobs inside. I am trying to vary the working days, so no one gets bored and to give you the chance of choosing which kind of work you prefer, so everyone feels comfortable with what he/she is doing. If you're looking to get some building or carpentry skills and you feel like committing yourself to a longer period I'm more than happy to transfer some of my skills...I l...

I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-us...

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hello there, We are a family-owned, registered dog breeding and rearing business located on our beautiful 14-acre hobby farm in northern Victoria. The landscape is flat and picturesque, surrounded by vibrant canola fields in bloom, gum trees, quiet dirt roads, and expansive blue skies. Our home is conveniently situated within 15 km of three towns, including the larger regional centre of Echuca, where you’ll find major shopping and recreational facilities. We are a homeschooling family with Christian values, consisting of myself (Jacques), my wife (Simone), and our two children (Rachel and Jonathan). In addition to our dogs, we also have an orchard and chickens. However, most of our time is devoted to caring for our beloved Border Collies and their puppies, which is where we would greatly appreciate some help. Our farm is only a two-hour drive from Melbourne, making it easy for you to enjoy a weekend visit to the city if you wish. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking i...

Our woodland croft is situated on the Isle of Mull. We are off grid and are in the early stages of developing our croft. We have three focuses: creating and maintaining the woodland, willow basketry and a market garden. We are currently developing the market garden to start producing in June 2026. The croft is a former forestry site with lots of stumps from trees felled. We have built a small greenhouse/propagating shed and two large polytunnels. Our Tamworth pigs are helping churn up the land for the future veg beds. We are a couple and are living in a static caravan on the croft with our dog Lily. We are looking for help with setting up and running our first season of our market garden. As we are still in the set up process the timings of the jobs we need help with are hard to predict. We are looking for people to get stuck in and learn with us as we go. Things to do will include: setting up our irrigation system (rolling piping and connecting, installing taps,...), preparing the ...

Hi, I would like help around 21st April. I live in beautiful Coromandel town where I’ve created a small urban food forest based on permaculture principles. It’s a constantly evolving space full of fruit trees, edible plants and wildlife, and I enjoy sharing it with people who are interested in gardening, nature and simple living. I’m looking for 1 person to stay for a few days at a time (usually 3–4 days) and lend a hand with a mix of garden and household tasks. This might include food forest maintenance, light gardening, helping keep the space tidy, window cleaning or general housework. Nothing too heavy — just practical help to keep things running smoothly. You’ll be staying in my small, relaxed home and will have your own bedroom with a king single bed. We share the bathroom and living areas. My home is right in Coromandel town, within easy walking distance to the shops, cafés and harbour, and only a few minutes’ drive to some beautiful beaches and bush walks. In exchange for...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having your own car...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. From the agricultural antiques you may be cleaning and organizing, to working in the gardens. W...

Hello, We are a French couple living in the small village of Loubieng in Béarn. We are Anaïs and Arnaud, 38 years old. Anaïs works in ecopsychology and ecology. Arnaud is a cabinetmaker, joiner, and carpenter. We both play music :). Arnaud is renovating our future home: an old 19th-century Béarnaise farmhouse, and we are inside, working on the ceilings. We would be delighted to welcome a person or a couple to help us with this step because the work alone is not feasible! The tasks are physical, so we are preferably looking for someone physically capable of carrying plasterboard. A good portion of the placo has been installed, there's still a little left to do, and then there's the installation of the battens and wood wool insulation. There is also stuffs to do in the garden :). Arnaud has already been a trainer in eco-construction and enjoys teaching. In exchange of 4hours daily work from monday to friday, we will offer you a quiet space in a comfortable caravan as well as break...

Looking for someone to start early June. Hi all, my name is Greg and I owned a hostel some time ago and now have decided to get helpers to help me out around the house as well as help me with painting. I'm a painter and decorator with lots of work to do and would like to get someone to give me a hand. You don't have to be qualified for this work and can be male or female as I can give you tasks that anyone should be able to do and will also spend some time with you showing how to do things which will include painting. It will depend on the individual to how much work they do each week, so it could be to work for accommodation only to getting paid if you are more interested in doing a full weeks work. Also I can supply food and accommodation in exchange for helping me, the areas that I will need help with will range from general help around the house to helping sort through my collection of items I buy at auctions. So you could be helping doing some painting, gardening (there’s not m...

West Coast Canada Experience - position open now Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings at 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions....

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. In your free time, you can walk in the forest and mountains, chill in the r...

This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done. I have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where I live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. I would also be happy to show you around the area, take you fishing, I have a boat and would love to show you around the Whitsundays weather permitting, maybe catch some crabs explain some of the wildlife in the area. There are lots of beautiful places to see here. We have hosted exchange students in the past and it has been very fulfilling, sharing different cultures.

Help needed right now in the garden, in the house (renovation-ecobuilding) and in the olive orchard. We are Francesco, Angelica, Pauahtun and Liu (respectively 10 and 4 years old). We live in a peaceful place surrounded by oak-ash-hornbeam forest and mediterranean vegetation. The place is in the Molise region, a forest rich area. We are also near a river (3,5 km) and 40 km from the sea. That`s to say that if you`re looking for a beautiful place and contact with Nature, you found it!! Generally we need help in the garden and orchard (seeding, planting, digging, collecting seeds, fruits, wild vegetables etc.), to cut wood for the winter, to build with natural materials.

We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer).

We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us.

Hi Everyone, Now at the end of of summer trade can take more people after mid April for help on the farm A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out! I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences. Cheers, Mike.

More photos on instagram at aqhinschen We enjoy the company and conversation and also sharing the cooking, I love sharing the kitchen while cooking. We have had some great ...
