Kia ora! Seeking help all through the year. The home is a large Oamaru stone villa where my 20yr old son and our tabby cat live with me. Our work does take us away from home from time to time and we need help to maintain the existing gardens, and to redevelop some areas. I am redeveloping an area to become a vegetable garden and would love help with this. We have around 2 acres of garden - mainly flowers, hedges and mature trees with a pond which plays host to gold fish and attracts numerous dragonflies. The gardens are very tranquil. We host small events occasionally and sometimes run garden tours. Ideally, you'll have a bit of garden knowledge, but most importantly you'll be fit, have initiative and a willingness to muck in and help outdoors. The majority of work will be weeding, pruning, trimming. I expect 4 hours of productive work each day in exchange for accommodation, breakfast provisions for you to help yourself to, lunch and dinner. The accommodation is a bedroom in a s...

My house is a pretty funky style house about 3 kms from Kerikeri centre, in a very nice setting. There are many hiking trails beaches and scenery to explore in this area.I expect 4 hours a day of work from the helpers. I do prefer couples as I find 2 people working together enjoy the jobs more .Also having your own vehicle is easier. At present I have garden beds to weed and mulch .Mostly at this time of year I have new trees to plant ! I like helpers to stay from a few days to a week and it will be gardening work or possibly some house maintenance jobs , if the weather keeps us inside. Iâm wanting to do some indoor and outdoor work on my windows so any experience with sanding and painting would be good- but not necessary. I provide 3 meals a day and I am flexible with diets .Assistance with preparing the evening meal is appreciated. The house has wifi, which helpers are free to use. I have 2 rooms for the helpers ,one of them is a double room.I really enjoy getting to meet helpers ...

We are located in northeast Kakadu at the East Alligator River and Cahills Crossing into Arnhemland. Helpers will have an amazing opportunity to explore the area and learn about local indigenous rock art, artwork and culture, interact with Bininj, immerse in stunning natural landscapes and appreciate flora and fauna of World Heritage Kakadu NP. There is NO swimming in this area- CROCODILES! Cahills Crossing across the East Alligator River is famous for them. The lease is owned by an Indigenous association for whom I run the store and hostel during the Dry Season, May to October. Our core focus in the Store is representing Injalak Arts and Crafts from Gunbalanya in Arnhemland. Supporting this there is coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, snacks and other merchandise. The help will be very diverse and unstructured, as it is a lifestyle, in and around the store: be it with the local artworks from Injalak Art Centre, which is a collective of around 300 Bininj (pronounced Bining) artists from t...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

Accommodation offered is in our home. You would have your own room. We also have a smaller, clean and comfortable trailer on the property. We live a 7 min drive to town and there are buses or a bike to ride. We live just a short 10 min walk from the Cowichan River, great for swimming! This is a quiet rural property of 2.3 acres with acreages surrounding us. There is great hiking in the area. We are active people who like to bike, hike, kayak and row. The majority of the help we need is in our garden. Preparing the soil for planting, moving mulch, planting, weeding, pruning etc. The work is relatively easy. There are fruit trees, raspberries, blueberries and a lot of ground to plant. We cook mostly vegan food and can be gluten free if requested. We are a queer couple and have an 20 year old son and 22 year old eldest child. We are musicians and love to cook really healthy food. You are welcome to join us in our outings. We have a beautiful Saturday market near by and so much to see. ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bitđ My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of CefalĂč or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

Howdy. Itâs been great hosting with HelpX and having the opportunity to offer local cultural experiences to friends from around the globe! WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms.
