Vegan / Vegetarian Off-sider Wanted – Coffs Harbour → Far North Queensland I’m looking for a vegan or vegetarian off-sider to help organise, pack, and clean a house in Coffs Harbour over the next few weeks. After that, we’ll drive to Cairns together. It will be a fairly direct trip (about 3–4 days) as I’ll be towing a trailer, so there won’t be much sightseeing on the way, but we can still stop at a few nice places to stay along the route. Once we reach Cairns, I’ll unload the trailer and have more time available. After that, there will be opportunities to explore parts of Far North Queensland, including the Tablelands and other great spots that many travellers enjoy seeing. Food and accommodation provided. Mainly looking for someone practical, tidy, and easygoing who’s happy to help get things organised. Send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself.

*** Looking for 1-2 girls to assist with housekeeping and gardening around the lodge from March *** Hi there! We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. Our kiwi family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand. As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax. Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the property with misc tasks that suit your talent...

We are a semi-retired couple who love gardening, cooking, journaling, dancing and sightseeing. Our mud brick house is comfortable and usually cool in summer. You will have your own cosy room. We have fans for cooling and open fireplace for heating if required. The property has a boundary with the State Forest. It is very green all around. We have many native wildlife visit us such as wallabies, wombats, Kookaburras, and a resident Koala. We are off the grid and generate our own electricity and source our water from the creek that is fed by a small waterfall (La La Falls). Conserving energy is a common practice here and it would be wonderful to share sustainable ideas. It's a 20 min walk to the town. We hope to share our rich culturally diverse lifestyle and show you our beautiful valley and quirky valley attractions. We are hoping for a helper (or couple or friends), who can help with garden tidy-up (lawns, weeds and pruning), house projects and cleaning. If you know how to use ...

We are a family of four living on a lifestyle block in the beautiful Wairarapa, with the entrance to the Tararua Forest park just up the road. There you will find some great tramping, walking, mountain biking and a cool swing bridge across the river and a great swimming hole during summer. On our block we have a small herd of cattle, some sheep and a pony along side many birds living in the local landscape. We are presently looking for helpers for painting and pony care and always need help with firewood, gardening, riparian planting and general help for an average of four hours a day in exchange for food and accommodation. The accommodation best suits a couple. We are 15 mins drive from Greytown and Carterton. Non-smokers only please. Please let us know if you have any special food requirements or allergies which might need to be considered during your stay.

Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Come Spend Some Time in the Coromandel 🌿 We have beaches, we have forests, and we have a very casual relationship with clocks. We’re a couple in our 40s–50s looking for people to share our piece of wilderness with. We have two somewhat manic cats, but we ourselves are fairly chill. Over the years we’ve tried a wide range of hobbies and crafts, from home brewing and cheesemaking to glass blowing and hang gliding (some more current than others!). We enjoy meeting creative people and giving everything a go. We’ve travelled through Scandinavia and Asia and look forward to travelling again, but for now we travel vicariously through our visitors’ stories — and love helping you make the most of your adventures in New Zealand. Our property is 26 hectares of regenerating native bush, with a stream, waterfalls, swimming holes, glow worms, and plenty of space to explore. We’re close to Whitianga, Hot Water Beach, and Cathedral Cove, yet the home itself is tucked into the forest where you can ...

My husband, Tony, and I are very happy to offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our gr...

We are a small organic olive farm, not yet in commercial production and animal refuge. We practice permaculture and the olives are part of a `forest garden` which also includes 200 cork oaks, carob and other trees and shrubs. We also have a vegetable garden and fruit trees . Our rescued animals include dogs, cats, a house pig, donkeys, a goat, ducks, rescue rabbits and worms!. Living in a Mediterranean climate we practice several different methods of water recycling and have a biological swimming pool. Help is required with all aspects of a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle. Meals are vegan, wine is served with the evening meal and we are non smoking. Current projects are forestry care, garden management - watering & weed/feed for animals, animal care, plus all the everyday tasks that are part of everyday communal sustainable living. The olive harvest is late October. Normally up to 4 helpers are here at a time, living as part of a family style community. We ask a minimum commitment...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said, it can get very wet in summer and early autumn; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, in the orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two h...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Thanks to all the people who have contacted us recently, We are now looking for some help again over the next couple of months. From mid to late April or into May and June One of the main jobs will be to remove the non native wattle trees from the bush portion of our block. This involves pulling the smaller ones out by the roots and chopping down bigger ones. As well as our Orchard and Garden work we are looking for some HelpX that have any general building or carpentry skills a nice bonus but not essential. Hi there travellers! I'm looking for someone to do some painting, weeding, other gardening and other mostly outside work. There's a couple of leaks in my irrigation I have yet to find. There's always lots to do. If you are a couple, or two couples even - you are welcome to buy and cook your own food and set your own pace around exploring/helping out in the garden. If you are travelling alone and prefer company you will be welcome to eat with us, and I am happy to set an extra place at the table. It will be expected that you spend more time hanging out with me in my garden! While you are here, whoever you are, you will be welcome to participate in our daily life, to learn about how Kiwis live. We have a large property with many apple trees, almond and peach trees, apricot and plum trees, plus lots of gardens. Also a lovely fire pit to enjoy a late night chat around. We have a warm, comfortable place for you to stay. It is very private, well equipped and has pretty good wifi. ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Hi there!! We have a small life style property in the sunny sunny Sth Wairarapa consisting of paddocks, gardens, fruit trees, and lawns etc... The living spaces are very tranquil - spacious gardens and pool area - can be quite a bit to maintain sometimes. There are a few animals here as well as many on surrounding farms. The property has two dwellings, as well as an art studio, plus sheds and other farm buildings. Help is always going to be very appreciated with the maintenance as well as the ongoing creation and construction of the garden areas etc. The Wairarapa is situated just an hour north of Central Wellington and we are located 15 minutes from the wine region centre of Martinborough where some of NZ`s great wines are produced There are many cafes, restaurants and vineyards The property location is quiet and peaceful, located amongst farmland on the river with its own private swimming spots. Generally the area is mostly farming and grape growing, the climate is hot and dry - a...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect.

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Rang...

Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

hello, looking for some people, preferably longer than shorter term but open if you have some specific light maintenance skills. some of the helpx stay for long periods, even 6 months to 2 years, one of them. right now we are looking for people. need some chill, reliable people to help maintain the patios outside and keep the back gardens neat and basic small wood repair.. the place offers lots of flexibility of time. always a couple other helpx from around to exchange with. its very easy to learn things that need to be done. we require 15 hrs a week . you can help 5 days 3 hrs a day or you can help longer some days and take off some days to go to the beach. can also do shorter days shorter hours per day but then you do more days . ca switch with other helpx and then take a couple days off , but we must always agree to the exchange so it works for everyone. it usually does. we do have pools near around the neighborhood and we have always some wooden floored ro...

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. AVAILABLE: March 9 We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and would rather prepare for your trip of a lifetime away from the city hostels and practice your english with locals or are about to leave and need to sell your vehicle. We're on State Highway 16, the alternate route north from Auckland, so we're an excellent choice if you're heading towards Cape Reinga or the Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. We're about 40 minutes by car from downtown Auckland, meaning we're close enough to Auckland that you can get there if you want to. We're a family of six who try to live sustainably off our land. Sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and bees share our sweeping views of the Kaipara Harbour. We have numerous varieties of fruit trees, including a few exotic species, and large areas for vegetables and berries. We have two cats, Luna and Pearl, and two dogs (Boxers), Arya and Koa. ...

Hello travellers, We are currently looking for helpers anytime after March 9th for about a week. Work would involve raking leaves and moving soil on to garden beds and hauling branches out of our forest as we begin to fire proof the property. My friend Fiona and I bought a beautiful property together and often need help! Our property is 2.5 acres in the heart of farmland. We are walking distance to the big and beautiful Seal Bay Park, and close to town and amenities. Our new and amazing HelpX accommodation is a stunning fully contained two bedroom yurt! It comes with full stocked kitchen, full bathroom, two queen beds, washer/dryer, Wood stove, BBQ, covered deck and patio. It is close to the main house but completely private with a forest in between. We will supply all the food, you make your own breakfasts and lunches while we will make dinner and enjoy sharing that meal with you. We are unfortunately not on a bus route and there are no shops within walking distance but we are alway...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to).

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bike, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. The ...
