We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Hi, and welcome to NZ. Looking for 1 female who likes the outdoors & animals, is confident with horses, & also likes to help around the house and garden. I'm recovering from surgery for torn ligaments in my shoulder. I'd really appreciate another set of hands to help out as I'm not too quick with only one good arm at present! If you are experienced in horse riding, my horse would enjoy some riding too! We own a small farm south of Ashburton, or just over an hour south of Christchurch. We have a mixture of friendly animals, including sheep, goats, cattle, free range hens and horses. Jobs include helping with feeding animals, & generally helping with some paddock & farm maintenance, like collecting horse manure with our large Greystone Paddock Vacuum (too easy!) And some weed control in the paddocks or around our tree plantings. Maybe some gardening. And feeding the guinea pigs! Did I mention we have a lovely herd of around a dozen gorgeous free range guinea pigs? They are...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RESTRUCTURING THE ALLOTMENT AND NEED HELP WITH LIFTING AND MOVING PAVING We've been part of Helpx for several years now and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we still keep in touch with. We live in York, in the north of England, where we have a garden and (a 10 minute walk away) an allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables. We try to cultivate using the `no-dig` method and like to re-use and recycle wherever possible. Our house has solar panels on the roof for hot water and electricity, as we are keen to reduce our impact on the environment. The work includes turning and spreading compost, making new beds and paths, weeding, seed sowing, planting out, grass cutting and fence painting. From early summer, fruit and vegetables are ready to be harvested and prepared for freezing and conserving. If the weather is bad then there are always jobs to get on with in the house, garage and greenhouse. We can offer all meals, laundry and accommodation, (own ba...

Hi helpers, We are a couple living in a house in the mountains in the north of Spain in a province called Cantabria, which is between Asturias and the Basque Country. We both work outside so we don’t have enough time to take care of all our land. We will need some help in order to fight against the weeds, which spread quickly all around the farm during spring and summer. In addition, I am studying English so I would like to practise and improve it as well. For this reason, we would prefer native speakers of English but this is not essential. The chores helpers have to do every day from Monday to Friday are basically weed with the strimmer, garden and feed our animals which nowadays are chickens and dogs but above all cut the grass because it grows so quickly. We serve breakfast and lunch but helpers would have to make their own dinner. The accommodation consists of a bedroom and a private bathroom. As we live far away from public transport, having your own vehicle would be easi...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Are you planning ahead for 2026! What are your plans for next year? We would welcome two friends or a couple who would enjoy being in the Highlands. We need extra assistance, primarily with gardening but also with cleaning for garden visitors and keeping our two holiday cottages looking good. You may work over the weekends and then have Monday & Tuesday off to go and explore the Highlands. We could offer free accommodation and food to a couple for the season, we are already sorted for the Spring ie April/May but perhaps later in the summer up until September - particularly if you could assist with looking after our Garden Gatehouse where people buy tickets for the garden, you'd have to speak good English - and helping to clean our holiday cottages. Have a think about it! We are in the NW Highlands near Skye on the Kyle-Inverness railway line with our very own request stop so easy to access but generally quite remote. This place would suit either two friends or a couple as spa...

Thank you. I have my carer for Biddy so now I won’t be seeking anyone for weeks now.. middle March would be good for me. Maybe even late March. Travel well and maybe see you then. My home is a two story red cedar home, surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. Coochiemudlo is a quick 10 minute ferry trip from Victoria Point where buses can regularly take you in all directions. On the island we have a local bus which will pick you up or deliver you for a gold coin. I have an island car, a bike and a kayak. There will be some weeding, mowing and whipper snipping (weed cutting). I ask for 20 hours a week in return for accommodation and meals. There are also people on the island who are happy to pay you for work. Coochiemudlo is a beautiful island...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

Living in Kyoto, Japan, we are a warm and welcoming family of three who enjoy sharing daily life with people from different cultures. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to join our family. Our hope is for our 6-year-old son to learn English and explore the world through fun, natural conversations and play. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and can be like a big sister to him, caring for him with kindness and respect. He is very energetic and loves to talk. If you enjoy playing Minecraft or Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll quickly become good friends with him. We are looking for help with playing with our son and light household tasks. Although I haven’t used this platform since registering, I have hosted many volunteers through another platform. We are still in good contact with them and we maintain positive relationships. We sincerely hope this stay will be relaxing, enjoyable, and a meaningful cultural exchange for ever...

[Update posted 08/01/25] The Crossing announces a change, a seed planted four years ago. For the past four years, the land belongs, as is fair and good, to a Tribal University and Land Grant University located on the Rosebud Reservation, home of the Sicangu Oyate, in South Dakota. Our donation of the property was formally accepted by Sinte Gleska University during September of 2020. Since then, the seed has sprouted and pushed roots of beginnings down into the soil and the sprout and it's cotyledons have come out into the sun. Last August, with an amazing gathering here of a group of people from The University, inipis (sweat lodge, in Lakota) were poured and prayers sent up to Creator, and the transition from private ownership to the establishment of Sinte Gleska University's welcomed and growing presence is forever engaged – the first true leaf has opened to the sunlight. Helen and I will share more about the future of The Crossing and the direction by Sinte Gleska University when ...

Hello travelers, I am the proud owner of a historic castle from the 15th century, situated in the middle of the countryside of Burgundy. If the building is habitable as it is, the gardens and grounds require substantial work that I can not carry out alone. The walls need to be stripped of their invasiveness ivy, dry stone walls of the paths are partially collapsed, trails are not passable overgrown, fruit plantations are to be undertaken, etc. ... Accommodation in the castle or in tents, bicycles available, wireless internet. If you have skills in wood or building you are more than welcome.

They are...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei.

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...
