I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hey there! I’m Belle 👋 *****Looking for assistance from the end of July to August 15th. Dates are flexible either side of this. Welcome to my little slice of paradise in Manly, QLD-just 150m from the water! 🌊 It’s a beautiful, laid-back spot with plenty to explore. On weekends, you can stroll down the boardwalk to the local markets (just a 15-minute walk), soak up the coastal vibes, or check out some of the great bars and restaurants nearby. Getting around is a breeze—there are scooters, buses, and a train station just 200m away. A little about me: I’m an outgoing, fun-loving adventurer who thrives on meeting new people from all walks of life. I love Pilates, exploring new places, and making the most of the outdoors. I also have a 19-year-old daughter, Charli, who works locally. She's very outgoing and friendly. We love sharing Aussie experiences with guests, whether that’s sightseeing, swapping travel stories, or helping you improve your English. Oh, and let’s not forget Suede- ...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

Kia ora! We really enjoyed hosting regular woofers several years ago when we planted 3,000 trees! We are now planting more natives in October-December 2025. This may include some digging and shifting soil, planting, mulching and using a weedeater. We need helpers who have this experience and can work independently and able to use their own initiative. You would need to enjoy the outdoors, not put off by a little rain or cold weather. Our family home in magical Mangawhai has wide rural valley views and is an 8 min drive to pristine beaches and 5 mins to the village centre. The lifestyle property sits north-facing on three acres and is home to my partner, myself, our curiously creative 11 year old and Charlie our cat. We have made some wonderful friendships with our helpers and really enjoy hosting international guests. Our main luxury room has a king-size bed and ensuite, a Smart TV and free wifi. This very peaceful rural property is located within a special coastal Karri forest and is just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand shallow beach. The weather is warming up now and the flies are starting to die out. We start work early here(7am) and that means helpers have from 9am to be free to play and/or relax !! I invite helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. This place is very special location" because it is 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. Welcome! I am Fern. I live together with my 3 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! I love kirtan and am busy immersing ourselves in the local community. There maybe a proj...

We live on a 5-hectare avocado orchard in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, 5 minutes from Waihi Beach. We are looking for people interested in short stays in return for 3 hours of work per day or equivalent, helping garden, cleaning, painting, and/or working on the orchard. We appreciate people helping with dishes, etc., after meals. Wendy works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and our youngest daughter goes to school. During those days, you will be left to work by yourself. For that reason, we prefer two people who have transport. We are a Christian household. Chloe, our youngest, has spent six months in France and has been learning French. She speaks French, so if you are still learning English, Chloe can translate for you when she is home. We have a sleepout located next to a tennis court, featuring one double bed, a shower, and a toilet. We also have free Wifi for guests. We have surfboards, and Waihi Beach is less than 5 km away.

Welcome!
