Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. We are a clifftop ecological microfarm on a quarter acre at the westernmost tip of the stunning Beara peninsula in West Cork, Ireland. We have a large family garden that sells small amounts on the side, and our project for 2026 is to turn it into a larger market-gardening business focused on salad-vegetable production. We are a busy farming family with two small children, dogs (including one puppy) chickens and lots of sheep and cows located 45 minutes from Christchurch city. We live in an old farmhouse with large garden and there are always lots of jobs to do around the house and farm. We are happy to exchange food and accommodation for four hours work, or accommodation only for two hours. We have two double bedrooms available that are accessed outside the house and good internet. We prefer stays of around one week but have some flexibility. I produce organic vegetables, some fruits, mermelades, infusions, seeds, and we also sell and deliver bread from another farm. We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We've been travelling the world, Matias sailing as a merchant marine official and Marleen working in tourism but travelling mostly as a volunteer for eco-organisations. On one Greenpeace-campaign, we got together and have been living in Belgium since 2002.
