We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

Hey family, looking for loving beings to come and enjoy our gorgeous humble farm on the stunning river. We have an abundant syntropic permaculture garden extraordinaire which we eat from, lots of chickens to harvest eggs from each day and goats that we milk twice a day. Jobs are caring for the animals, tending the gardens and the land, emptying poo bins 😂 rarely butt it happens, carving bones from goats we’ve harvested, chopping wood, tending fires, blissing out in the creek, building shelters, felling dead trees, fire twirling, poi play, poi assemble, making simple epic feasts, caring for community, whole ecosystems magic. Looking for hardworking people who like to get stuff done, who are response-able and know how to have fun and live life to the fullest. Families welcome. We have kids and three gorgeous dogs. Connect if you feel the call.

My hobby farm is 7 acres of tropical fruit trees; Jackfruit, Durian, sapote, coconuts, banana, Rolinia, Soursop and many more. Weeding, mulching, pruning and picking is the main work needed here. As the property is on top of the Rex range at a high altitude it has views and is a few degrees cooler than the coast . There is a creek at the bottom of the property but it isnt suitable for swimming . It is for wildlife, so cooling off is in the plunge pools or we go for a short drive to the nearby creek or waterfall. The provided accomodation is a caravan which also has a little kitchen. You are welcome into the house to use the toilet & bathroom and share meals . The house is adjacent to the caravan and faces the orchard & mountains. Regarding the orchard ,depending on what is fruiting, we will process the fruit ; freezing, dehydrating, or making smoothies. Regarding meals Im generally vegetarian( but do eat fish occasionally) , But I am not keen with red ...

Kia ora Helpxers, It has been a great season for growth, with warm temperatures and regular rain. We would love some help to get our property/ gardens back into shape. We have a lot of hedges that require pruning, vegetable gardens that need weeding, berries which will need picking. We have Cedar cladding that is asking for oil, new decks that need a clean and pre - oil preparation. We have a landscape project waiting to begin, so If you feel that you have the experience, some skills and the enthusiasm to help with these projects, we would love to host and share our home with. you. Ideally, we would like two people - two friends or a couple. We ask for four hours of work in return for accommodation and 3 meals daily. We can be flexible; some people like to work an 8-hr day and then take a full day to go adventuring somewhere. We are a retired couple, enjoying a peaceful life on our 2.5 acres, surrounded by farm land overlooking the Strzelecky Ranges. We have two dogs, Shadow who's 14 and Daisy 4, and 9 chickens and 3 chicks. Serena has planted lots of trees and shrubs, a nice vegetable garden, but it's all getting out of hand! We'd like someone to assist us with carting mulch, cutting back trees and shrubs, splitting and stacking firewood (don't worry, we have a hydraulic log splitter), general garden maintenance jobs and perhaps some external painting (the house is due for a paint job, we have started already but there's plenty left!). We ask for 2 hours/day (for a couple) or 3 hours/day (single person) in return for lodging in your own studio apartment in the main house, with Queen bedroom, private sitting room, amenity area and private bathroom (if it happens to be booked out for an AirBnB we can accommodate you in our vintage Jayco Camper). Eric's a good cook so you won't go hungry! Essential you have ...

We have an island retreat in Nelson (near Motueka) on 10 acres and a home in central Nelson. There is plenty to do with weeding, taking care of the garden and cutting grass. Our beach house, near Motueka is on a small island. The ideal helper(s) is self sufficient, detail oriented and a self starter. Our island retreat is about 100 metres off Port Motueka, then another kilometre along the beach, facing Tasman bay and across from the Abel Tasman National Park. Our home in central Nelson is a 5 minute walk from down town. We have 2 Kayaks and an SUP. So hope you like the water. The work consists of gardening and general housekeeping. An average of about 3 hours work per day is sufficient. Recommend a week stay or more because of the logistics of getting you there and showing you around etc. It is an "off the grid" solar home. There is a limited wifi that is sufficient for email, and internet. We will supply some but not all food. (depends on the situation) We usually h...

Winter February 2026 - opening as of Feb 8th Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this winter with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other ...

Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living (Dad and 2 teens) in the suburbs of Newcastle, about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home (Liam - 17yo & Anna - 19yo), we enjoy cafes and going to the beach and swimming in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and Liam attends the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time renovating (fixing/building) houses, including the house we live in, and love to have people to work with. The house we live in is currently being renovated and an extension is being constructed. Right now I really need help with timber framing - putting the house together - we are currently up to the floor frames and working on getting the rest of the house extension up. Help at work: Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (norm...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

looking for 1 or 2 helpers who would like to live and help out on my remote farm on during summer 2026 (May - October). Long-time stayers are preferred. There will be no animals in 2026 since I will move to a smaller farm not far from the town of Linz. We will mainly be busy with moving items from my big farm to the small one, all kind of household chores, helping with repair works on the house or machinery, cutting and raking grass or hey etc. Preferably we will prepare and have meals together. Hiking in the surrounding forests and short trips to neighbouring villages can be understaken in free time. The house provides basic comfort, a fireplace for cooking and heating water (for shower), an improvised bathroom and an up-to-date WC. There are 4 bedrooms on the upper floor. The helpers do not need any particular skills or experience, but should be willing and talented for manual work and should feel comfortable living upcountry far from pubs and entertainments. The nearest supermar...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

We live on a small property eight minutes from Kerikeri township. We have a private lake and kayaks are available to explore. We used to run a bed and breakfast here so I guess we can say we dont bite and our place is clean and comfortable. Some animals and chickens on site. Fruit when in season. Having a vehicle to explore for times when you are not working is a must and there is no public transport here. We are meat eaters. We need help now throughout the year. I have some physical limitations and require help to get on top of STUFF. We have many trees that have been felled waiting for splitting with a fuel powered machine, paths needed to be built, gardening, general gardening tools available and I am also building a cottage. Inside work for those wet days include painting, plus preparation, cleaning windows plus other general household tasks. Woodworking/carpentry skills could be an asset. There is a workshop here if you want to pursue a project. A previous couple outfitted th...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

Take Note: I am looking for help from now, 18th Feb., '26 to the end of March - around 5 weeks. I was looking for helpers for our lambing programme - April - end of July but that position has been taken. Please Note: I have recently had a stroke - recovering very well but unable to be as involved as before - not yet, any way!!! We have just experienced an extremely challenging last twelve months, with three of our family members (one being myself) experiencing very difficult health issues. Our youngest daughter has had to undergo multiple surgeries since early September 2024, then in mid December our 2nd daughter broke her neck and is now wheelchair bound and I suffered a stroke in mid March this year. Needless to say we are all endeavoring to get back to as normal as possible, as soon as possible and for myself, having spent 3 and a half months in hospital recuperating, I am very pleased to be back on the farm. I do need help with some of the day to day chores are looking for folk w...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim in, There is a hammock i...

In our home, the preparation of meals washing, dishes, general tidiness is shared between helpx and ourselves. and is additional to the 4hrs. At the end of ...

French Chateau under renovation in quiet rural location, close to local village. We are looking for help with building renovation work, decoration and services in the main building, landscaping of the gardens and woodland maintenance. The top floor of the chateau is finished and accommodation is in your own room on the top floor of the building (see photos for a picture of one of the helper rooms), which has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a cinema all finished and fully furnished. The ground and first floors are both partially completed. The ground floor kitchen, utility room, billiards and dining room have been completed. Full board included, mainly eating outside in the summer when weather permits. Helpers, family and friends all eat together.

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property.

I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...
