We are located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our mid 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy experience as we have som...

We have space available from the 20th September for up to 3 people. We have three small cabins, two with a double bed and one with a single bed so room for three helpers at the moment..All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. Right now we need help with cleaning and painting and are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It will include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. We operate Muriwai surf school and adventure hire centre at Muriwai Beach. The deal is 2 hours work per day per person for each nights accommodation, leaving you plenty of time to buy or sale a car or van or jus...

I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden. I prefer helpers that wish to stay for a few days up to one week. If you are interested in staying please email your phone number and I will contact you. ps I have a dog.

We have just experienced an extremely challenging last twelve months, with three of our family members (one being myself) experiencing very difficult health issues. Our youngest daughter has had to undergo multiple surgeries since early September 2024, then in mid December our 2nd daughter broke her neck and is now wheelchair bound and I suffered a stroke in mid March this year. Needless to say we are all endeavoring to get back to as normal as possible, as soon as possible and for myself, having spent 3 and a half months in hospital recuperating, I am very pleased to be back on the farm. I do need help with some of the day to day chores and will especially need someone willing to take on our lambing program in early April 2026. We have had an amazing couple stay with us for almost two years now and they stepped up, when all went "pear shaped" and offered to help, as long as we needed them. They do want to have a break now that things are a little quieter but are happy to come back at...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

Hi. We have a position available for a couple or two friends starting from around 12th September. The position is for about one month. It is going to be a busy time on the farm in September and we would love some help with the lambs and the calves. For the second week of October we would like you to house/farm/dog sit while we are away for a few days. Merys and I have three children 22, 21 and 20. They are not home as much now so we need some help during busy times. We farm 315 Ha with sheep and beef cows. About 100 Ha is native bush and pine forest. I also have my own one man electrical business. We also have a holiday accommodation on the farm, check out the video and link https://canopycamping.co.nz/butlers-quarters The homestead has 5 bedrooms and a swimming pool. Helping guests can stay in the homestead. You can also sample a night or two in The Butlers Quarters as availability allows. The farm is a great place to explore the NZ wildlife and scenery. There are som...

Kia ora Helpxers, We invite you to come and be our Helpxer/s and enjoy our wonderful, warm and sunny location with a spectacular view of Tasman Bay. Our place is just 7km from central Nelson. The Nelson Tasman region is a very popular region for travellers, with access to the Abel Tasman National Park being just over an hour away. From our place you can ride the bicycle trail into town, taking about 20 minutes, or there is a bus stop not far away or even better if you have your own transport. We designed and built our own passive solar house, it is our passion to have constructed our own home from Adobe Earth Blocks, a sustainable eco-friendly method of building, using local materials such as clay and straw. It keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coolest! Our preference is to host you for up to one week or more if it suits. We ask for four hours helping out each day but are flexible for longer days, then you may take a day or so off to explore our beautifu...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

We are a Farm Animal Sanctuary based in the beautiful Cardrona Valley, situated 15 minutes from the popular tourist destination Wanaka and 40 minutes from Queenstown. We are based 25 minutes from the Cardrona Ski Resort. During your volunteering day here, you will interact with many farm animals and help out with daily farm chores and our continuing on farm revegetation project. Daily tasks vary but can include paddock grooming, brushing the donkeys and horses, walking pony’s and donkeys for extra exercise, helping out with feeding and some cleaning. We also do planting and potting up of the tree seedlings we grow on the farm, plant out trees, maintain plantings, and prepare new sites for planting. This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 and has b...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

** Are you a fit, non-smoker, who enjoys being outdoors, loves being close to wildlife, and has the skills and experience to help us with a variety of practical tasks, in exchange for very comfortable accommodation? We appreciate help with some repairs and maintenance on our five acre heavily wooded property just south of Perth city. The best HelpX for us will be a practically minded male, or perhaps a couple, who enjoy outdoor work, and have some previous experience and knowledge to work with the kinds of tools and equipment we use. for example, mechanical tools and small machinery such as chainsaws, hand-tools, electric drills, and wood-working tools. The help we need includes some structural building, fence repairs & chain sawing. The main jobs at the moment are (1) Some garden tidying - cleaning up after winter, general weeding work, and setting up vegetable garden. There are always odd jobs to do on the property. We will also welcome someone who is the capability to help ...

I own and operate a horse boarding facility located just 10 minutes from Sussex. I have a century farmhouse that has been passed down through several generations and is situated on approximately 150 acres of land with hayfields, forests, and a river passing through the property. In addition to the horse stable, which can have up to 30 horses, laying hens and a small garden. I am asking for 4 hours of help per day 5 days a week. A furnished room will be provided. I ask that you keep things neat and tidy, and respect the shared accommodations (kitchen, bathroom, living room). There is free internet, TV and laundry services. I have 2 children (ages 14 and 17) who spend half of their time with me. I work nights 4x per week and the odd weekend. I am able to provide some home cooked meals. It would be preferred if you have carpentry skills. I would like help with small and large projects around the property like stacking firewood, stacking hay, tending the garden, cleaning horse stalls, ...

We love hosting helpx and have met so many people in the last 15 years! Our helpx guests work hard for their 4 hours but we also have heaps of fun together!! We would like help to putting up a pool on Sat 20th September. We would love help with general tidying up for spring/summer. We need to wash and re-oil the deck, waterblast, weed, spray gorse (if you happy to, if not all good). We have a small cabin which is not insulated but we have lots of duvet/bedding to keep you warm. If you want to stay in your van and use our shower and toilet then you can do 3 hours of work instead of 4. You can use our shower/toilet etc. This is helpful especially when we have guests at our airbnb. We love sharing travel stories and hearing about your travels and playing card games and board games in our spare time! Our jobs vary, depending on the time of year. Practical skills are always appreciated. Experience on land or with practical work is essential. Washing the house and wiping d...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

We have some space from September for some helpers to help out with some springtime propogation and potting up plants around our little nursery.. Love to host a strong guy or 2 that have some gardening/farming experience and/or has carpentry skills that's keen to help out around the property and also spend some boating trips, catching barramundi, crocodille spotting, trolling the islands and snorkeling...July/august/september is our main time to enjoy time on the water as its the Humpback whale and fish migration season so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick.... Fish and home grown tropical vegetables form the basis of our diet during this tme of year so this adventure may not be for everyone..... This is the website of our mail-order nursery which located deep in the jungle near Mission beach and an hour and a half south of Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.... Growin...

This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chickens. You may even have some riding lessons if you are keen to experience this and learn a little bit about interacting with horses on the ground & in the saddle. Available from April to October . Meals and accommodation are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft things I can give you some lessons) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town, but do live on the outskirts of a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , chemist, hotels, swimming pool, so our little town has most things that you mig...

We have been traveling and are back with new ideas and enthusiasm. The cold and wet has set in but that doesn't stop us too much around here. When the sun is out it's crisp and beautiful. We are still working on our new shed. The trees are down and the digger has done its thing and there is a flat pad ready for planning the build. There are even new glow worms already moved in on the banks. There is some weeds and scrub to clear for the orchard but the worst of it is out of the way so we can start smoothing and planting fruit trees and shelter trees. There is loads of ways to make your mark on this tiny part of the world. We always want to build tracks into the forest, there are two more waterfalls to find but our favorite glow worm site now has a path with stairs! Now we can build seats and river crossings. There is always adventures for any that want to get lost in the bush on a nice day and clear a path. Loads to do, and soon we can make more cheese because who doesn't want loa...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. (Potentially not as social at it has been in the past when my son and his partner were living there full time) . We inc...

We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! -------------------------------------- 📢 📢 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Growin...

Volunteer person needed to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties. I can only accommodate one person.

We inc...

Do you long to step away from the outside world for a while and immerse yourself in nature ? Then look no further as we are looking for helpers in our wee piece of Paradise at the moment ......... Our farm is 100 acres of deer-fenced land on the Otago Peninsula. The help we require is some basic garden maintenance, wood splitting, weed-eating etc. We are an animal besotted family with 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (please NOTE we have retired drugs dogs so if you use even occasionally, whilst we are not judging you, please don't bother offering your services !). We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device!!! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary) as you will be helping with the daily care of the horses. We are a working farm, so sorry but no pets thanks. We usually only take couples (but have had single helpers before) as you can help each other out on ...

update.... 12th August We rear spring calves and require daily help to feed 300 plus calves everyday. This is physical work. You will need to drive a motorbike towing trailers (on farm training given), mix milk, top up meal and hay feeders and clean down equipment. This isn't a sole charge role, Ella will be with you everyday. Having the extra hands make light work and a great team environment. This will be a great insight into a NZ farming lifestyle. No previous experience needed, we will provide on site training to ensure you are confident and capable all we ask for in return are helpers who are keen and willing to learn and not afraid of hard work. Minimum stay 10 days. Own transport is neccessary. ABOUT US...... We are a young family of five (5) Jono (Dad), Ella (Mum), Lachlan (10) Patrick (8) & Lucy (5). We live on a 190 hectare sheep and beef farm 1 hours drive from Gisborne city. Farming for us is a passion not a chore and love getting out and about tending to our anima...
