Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish; fruit and veg from the garden. Swim at the beach across the road, go fishing or take out the kayaks (experience+wearher dependent). Jungle crash up the creek. Take the bike and pedal 2km to Waiomu then 1hr return tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri. Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into the vast iconic view and like tramping. If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, as we move into the dotage we need help with the massive task of #296, so we are keen to have people who want to help. We enjoy welcoming solo travellers from anywhere, any age, who are comfortable speaking English and value shared living, simple routines and shared respect. Your help will help me realize a ten-year plan. 1. To create gar...

We live on a large residential property approximately 1 hour NNW from Cairns city, 15 minutes further West of Kuranda in FNQ. It is a family home with myself, my partner and our two young girls aged 3 & 4 years. We have 2 large dogs who live outside in the garden. We are a young (ish family), Myself, the father is 39 years of age and my partner is 33. We are friendly, sociable and enjoy company. We are both well travelled ourselves and decided to settle down and make FNQ home. I am from the UK and arrived in Cairns 14 years ago with the intention of spending a few weeks and fell in love with the area, the reef and the fishing!. My partner, Tui, was born in Spain and then lived in the UK before coming here to Australia 10 years ago. Tui speaks fluent Spanish and does a great job of passing this on to our daughters. Our daughters are nice well behaved girls and thrive on meeting new people. We all eat very well. Healthy, good quality home cooked food mostly but don't mind the odd meal ou...

Kia ora and hello. We are based just outside Kaeo, 30 minutes north of Kerikeri. Our property is covered in 85% native bush and our main goal is to protect local wildlife and regenerate the native forest. We're seeking energetic, positive people to help with tasks like fencing, garden maintenance, lawn care, clearing gorse and tobacco weed, firewood, small building projects, house cleaning, and painting. We try to vary the jobs, and most tasks suit fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. We enjoy a beer or wine after work but have a no-smoking, no-drugs policy. Your accommodation is a room in our house with a queen-size bed (shared bathroom). We use tank water, mains power, and solar panels, working toward food and energy independence. We've been helpers on Helpx before, and speak English, German, and some Spanish. Our rescue dog Lucy is friendly and loves walks and cuddles, and we have hens and a rooster. Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hi everyone, We are a busy farming family based in South Taranaki, milking 440 cows and sharing our farm with a bunch of chickens. We met 10 years ago, when I was travelling New Zealand as a backpacker, and we've loved hosting travelers ever since. We have three energetic boys who adore the outdoors. Life here is active and relaxed- you'll often find us outside riding motorbikes on the farm, heading out for walks, or exploring the area with the kids on their bikes. We're really looking forward to welcoming travelers again, hearing your stories, and giving our boys the chance to meet people from different cultures. At the moment, we'd appreciate help with jobs such as weed spraying on the farm and getting the gardens sorted. You'll be staying in a spacious 6 bedroom home with unlimited wifi and you'll have your own private bedroom with bathroom. There is loads to see and do around us- we're just 10 minutes from town and the bach, Tawhiti museum is nearby and the mountain tracks are...

This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and my farm is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. My place is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away. Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list. Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transport that's not a problem...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's almost winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams ...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Accommodation on small farm, peaceful with lovely views, close to Dunedin City in exchange for help with Farm work, chopping firewood (easy to operate log-splitter), moving sheep from paddock to paddock, feeding stock in winter, mending fences, mowing lawns (ride-on), some housework (cleaning), occasional grooming, feeding and helping with horses. We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary). Plenty of scenic walks nearby and our beautiful beaches are not far away. Local transport (bus service) is 15 minutes walk away so own transport is recommended.

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We are now accepting HelpX We have a dog (Luna). She loves having a stick thrown, going swimming and lots of pats. We are approximately one and 1/4 hours drive from Blenheim. When you get here you will think you have arrived in a different world. Brian forgets he is 83 and is always working on something. I am busy in the house or out in the garden. There is always something to do here. Pulling out weeds, tidying around the fruit trees, working in the vegetable garden, checking the tracks to the beach and lookout point in case they need some maintenance, Brian has a couple of large pine trees that have been downed for firewood. We wish to relocate our spa/jacuzzi pool. If it is raining then we will organise some inside jobs. It is preferred that you have your own transport. We will provide: Breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk. All bedding and towels. We now have Starlink so internet is great. We have a spa pool (jacuzzi) you can relax in at the end...

Please read and understand all of my profile ! I seek a couple of travellers to come and help me with some basic property maintenance..., this means raking up leaves into piles, collecting sticks and branches, weeding and watering my veggie patch....., and maybe help me clean my house. These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay. Kangaroo, Emu and all native animals are free to roam around on this land. The weather is perfect and..., there are no flies. I am seeking self contained helpers who are travelling in a camper van or car with tent to come and help here. If you are travelling in a 4WD, you will really enjoy the tracks and beach of the the coastal National Park right next door to here. I provide great private camp sites(with water.)., access to clean toilets and showers.., in exchange for 12 hours help per week or 2 hours help per day. There are a few really nice and private camp sites here. I am located 'away' fro...

You need to organise your own meal or you can have your lunch with us for 3 hours work., though we would also like to share meals with you occasionally, if you'd like. Most jobs will be things like weeding, but if you have extensive building or other specialised experience, we have other projects also. :-) We can help with transport sometimes.

Update: We are booked for most of 2026. Thank you for your interest. We have limited availability for the autumn of 2026. We are located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. My husband and I have 5 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 vineyard - no kids. Our helper would have to be a dog & horse lover, interested in natural horsemanship and used to handle horses on a daily basis. You are expected to help with the morning chores, walk the dogs, work in the vineyard or garden, and do the odd job here and there, depending on the season. House chores are shared. In exchange, you have room & board, internet access, are included in all activities, and we play with the horses or we go riding. Are you a non-smoking, self motivated, outdoorsy & fit person? Then we would love to hear from you!

Since my retirement (when 65), I have been running this Animal Rescue Farm as a volunteer, caring for animals and developing this land has become my passion over the past 12 years. I’m looking for friendly, motivated Volunteers to join me, especially during Spring when lots of ducklings arrive! (well not just ducklings, chickens .. all sorts) . I have been leasing part of this beautiful property from the Western Bay of Plenty District Council and have been working on creating a large Native Walkway for the public, and an island where the rescue Turtles are so there’s plenty to do and lots to learn. We extend a warm invitation to join us on our farm this spring. We have availability from March into April — a beautiful time of year here, when everything is waking up again and the island feels full of fresh energy. Please inquire for availability during other times of the year. It’s a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to host you and if you already have some farm experience or any prior experience with ponies/horses we especially welcome you! We look forward to warmly welcoming you! *** Availability in March*** We welcome everybody howev...

Bruce and I are busy creating a hub of intentional living, aiming for sustainable resources, energy, water, transport, food, and biodiversity. We're taking our time to get elements just right!! WHAT WE SEEK * Non-Smokers only. * Two hours of energetic house & yard help per person per day. At the moment, there's much landscaping to be done. We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Hi there! We are a family of five living in the countryside beside the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We have a large organic garden and orchard and are struggling to keep the weeds out and the fruit picked with our new baby who has just arrived. We would love a little help with a few garden projects and also general weeding and harvesting for the next couple of months through the summer - maybe also some fun playing with our six year old girl and eight year old boy who love to play and swim in the sea which is a two minute walk from our house. We can offer a lovely large bedroom studio with private bathroom and small kitchenette in exchange for three to four hours helping out per day. We also invite you to eat dinner with us each day. If you have a meal you would love to cook one night that would be lovely! We are a vegetarian and vegan household. We don't smoke and would prefer non smokers. We have lived in different parts of the world before and love to travel but we are also very prou...

We have a beautiful 6 hectare property in a really awesome valley. We have animals, a stream, lots of things growing. We have a large 3 bedroom house. We have a warm modern caravan for helpers to sleep in and all the other amenities are in the house. We have 3 awesome kids (only two live at home) and a great family vibe. We need help with working the land and making it as productive as we can. We need people who are hard working and take initiative. Prior experience is great but if you are a fast learner and up for a challenge then that is great too. A love of animals is definitely helpful as well. Projects include - gardening, building, organising, helping with animals, help around the house, fencing, tree planting and more. Cheers Regan and Lisa

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM THE BEGINNING OF MARCH. We are fully booked until then. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. Please read and understand all of my profile ! I seek a couple of travellers to come and help me with some basic property maintenance..., this means raking up leaves into piles, collecting sticks and branches, weeding and watering my veggie patch....., and maybe help me clean my house.

NEED VOLUNTEERS NOW. Animal Rescue Farm (Tauranga / Katikati Area in Pahoia) planted with beautiful Native trees and a Native Walkway adjacent to the sea for the Public. Kia ora! I AM A VOLUNTEER NEEDING VOLUNTEERS. What You’ll Do (About 4 hrs a day – 7 days a week). Because the animals need feeding every single day, I ask helpers for around 4 hours of help daily, 7 days a week. ...

Are you happy to be VEGETARIAN (or vegan) while with us? Are you a complete NON-SMOKER? Are you interested in SUSTAINABILITY? Bruce and I are busy creating a hub of intentional living, aiming for sustainable resources, energy, water, transport, food, and biodiversity. 'Bilya Mia' (River Home) is still a building site in many ways (inside and out); It'll be a while before our Bassendean homestead looks anything like Frog Palace did (see video). We're taking our time to get elements just right!! WHAT WE SEEK * Non-Smokers only. * Two hours of energetic house & yard help per person per day. At the moment, there's much landscaping to be done. How are you at digging holes and shifting dirt?! * Minimum stay of two weeks, longer is often fine. * Early-birds: Starting early in Summer (say 6am) is ideal, keeping us out of the heat, and providing plenty of time for your play, study, work or exploration. Bank hours if you like. * Maturity: Previous helpers have ranged in age from 17...
