Purpose – to steward land and livestock responsibly while sharing practical skills, meaningful work, and the rhythm of authentic Texas ranch life. ⸻ 🌿 About Me Howdy — I’m Adele, and I run a 25-acre working ranch in Central Texas, just across the road from the Colorado River. The land is gently rolling and hilly with dry creeks, pasture, and a pond. After retiring from public service (public safety and U.S. Marine Corps) I chose a life centered around land stewardship, livestock, and building with my hands. Last year I spent two months volunteering on farms in Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and France. I wanted to understand the volunteer experience firsthand — what feels fair, what feels supportive, and what makes the exchange meaningful. I worked hard, observed carefully, and now aim to offer that same level of clarity and respect here. I manage: • 36 Nigerian Dwarf goats • 35 chickens (hens and roosters) • 9 ducks • 2 cows with calves • 4 working ranch dogs • 2 barn cats A...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We are Pascale, Guy and our daughter Fanette. We live in a tiny village in the beautiful valley of Ubaye, in the Alpes de Haute Provence. We got four horses and two cats who are like family to us. There's a garden, and our daughter runs a 1 hectare arboretum (botanic garden) and squirel park open to public during summer time, where visitors can explore the forest and discover land art. If you are fond of nature, fishing, hiking, kayaking, contemplation, animals and open spaces, this touristic spot is made for you! We would be glad to teach you French and help you with your adventure projects. The house is a bit far from the main city Barcelonnette but we can give you a lift if you need as we go there every day. Close to the village is a bistrot/ pub where they regularly play live music. There are lakes and rivers too where you can enjoy a sunbath. We bought a big caravan especially for the volunteers, with separate private facilities, as we think people like having their private spac...

We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

Looking for help! AT THE MOMENT LOOKING FOR HELP IN THE FOREST ,CLEARING BUSHES AND PATHS. This place was born as a Botanical Garden cured by Donatella & Giorgio, for the past 30 years, hosting many different species of common and rare plants. We have different areas in our property: a botanical garden around the house, a horticulture garden 400m from home, different size of ponds, a really old Chestnuts forest, few Land Art intallations too. We are located in the middle of the Natural Reserve called “Il Contrafforte Pliocenico” on the hills of Bologna, which got beautiful trekking route such as the Via degli Dei, the famous trekking route which link Bologna to Florence in just 4-5 days of trekking, mountain biking or horse riding! We also run a BnB but in the last years people passing by are a lot more than expected. Help needed might include:planting, garden maintenance, making paths, clearing the wood, producing yummy jams and products, collecting aromatic herbs to make our f...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love to be out doors, want to get your ha...

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

It is an old house on a big block with lots of space in the back yard. A few of the bigger projects previously mentioned in my add have been more or less completed like the pool and pond. 2026 update : we are still looking for someone to join us for this season, so don’t hesitate to contact me for details !! We are a family of 5 (children 23, 21 and 16), we own a B&B with a cottage and are looking for help either for land work or help work in the B&B (vaccum cleaning, dishes, do the beds with me), mostly in the summer (July, August, September) around 2 to 4 hours a day with days off (details to be discussed according to the needs or preferences of the helper). The helper usually takes care of the hens, too. The helper will have his/her own room with private bathroom or if preferred can be in a camper schoolie. We will cook meals for him/her, however we might ask him/her to deal with their own lunch depending on how busy we are. We will however provide the food, they won't have to pay for it. Helper gets to keep the tips. Additional money compensation can be possible too. We have had many experiences with woofers either from here or wwoof.ca and it’s always been a pleas...

Hello everyone, my name is Alain, I am from Switzerland and I've lived in Tartane for over 20 years. I own a big house with garden and 5 apartments for tourists - many of them come here regularly since years and are very relaxed and open-minded. I'm looking for a person or a couple, who can help me preparing the apartments, take care of various gardening and DIY tasks etc. In exchange for 2-3 hours of work a day (5 days per week), the helper will be accommodated in a private room (depending on the season it may also be an own apartment). Tartane is part of Arondissement La Trinité, located on the Caravelle peninsular with beautiful nature and well known as a surf spot. The house is 5 minutes by foot from a nice little beach where you can swim and enjoy the sun. Restaurants, Snack bars, a bakery and a minimart are also accesible by foot. To leave the town, there is a bus during the week and hitchhiking to la Trinité works quite well. However, to explore the rest of the island and ma...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

*** update may 2026 *** NEW : I moved to the center of France. I am building a new project: one global project with donkeys and a tiny camping. There is a lot of activities to offer on the site: clearing brush, decluttering, gardening, animal care, DIY, construction, art, music lessons, english lessons etc. And I need help to manage a small camping ... Welcome to my little paradise ! I don't eat animals, raw food basically. So, I prefer the helper cook his own meal (I buy your food, of course). You can stay in a tent, near a pond and with the donkeys. There is two sites in my project : the house which is a reception house for activities and with all services etc. and the pond's site which is at 20 mn on foot from the house, with basics services. The shower is outdoor and compost toilet. In spring and summer we stay on in the pond's site (named l'Ermitage). Contact me if you want to participate in the development of a beautiful project in the heart of nature, with animals. There is ...

Welcome to our family home on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. We are a family with adult children, and one daughter (10) who still lives at home. Together we work, learn, grow food, and stay connected to our local community. We have lived here for over 20 years. Our property is approximately three-quarters rainforest and one-quarter pasture. A large permanent creek borders one side of the property, providing clean water, swimming spots, abundant wildlife, and a peaceful place to relax. There is plenty of rainforest to wander through and explore. Our goal is to continue developing and maintaining our gardens, orchards, and native food plantings, including bush tucker species, so that we can produce more food. Typical tasks may include weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, fencing, and general garden maintenance. We also have chickens and two friendly cats. There are always maintenance and improvement projects happening around the property. We are gradually...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

We follow a simple lifestyle we make our own bread, beer, cakes, cookies etc. We are non smoking and are seeking helpers that do not smoke at all. Helpers should be happy to live as part of the family during their stay, we would expect this to include willingness to help prepare meals a...
