PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

CALL FOR HELPERS Our place is located between Turku and Helsinki in the village of Karjalohja on a beautiful hill with a view over fields with crops and horses. Only with a 7 minutes walk you reach the shore of the clean protected Enäjärvi Lake, where we do fishing, rowing, sailing, swimming, picnic, or take tours to the islands. Big forests with berries and mushrooms also surround us. You reach the Turku-Helsinki express bus stop in 15 minutes with our biogas car. To reach the nearest small village with shop, library, spa, etc. takes 12 minutes by car and 35 minutes on bicycle. Now this place serves our circle of partners and friends and we hope that one day it can also serve a larger circle. Eventually, it can also become an artist residence and an experimental ground for artistic, ecologic and holistic lifestyle development. The project We are developing an old farm into an ecological self-sustainable unit. We are growing biodynamic food and exploring experiments in recycling a...

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ! I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it. We live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 15 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. I live with my wife Mel and daughters Kenzie (4yrs ) and Emmie (2yrs). We are looking for 2 people; one to help collect eggs on the farm and the other to help watch our daughters :) You will have your own room, food supplied, Internet and washing machine. We can pick you up from Masterton. I have travelled a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I think a travelling experience is most enjoyable when a local shows you the local sites, cultures and attractions. I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I enjoy being host and enhancing their NZ experience. And when I visit them they do the same for me. Alex, Mel, Kenzie & Emmie

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

Help grow a permaculture centre & outdoor homeschool in southern Italy We are investing our time, energy and lives into creating a Permaculture Centre and an outdoor nature-based homeschool in southern Italy. We live off‑grid, rooted in the three permaculture ethics: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. What we offer: · Vegetarian/vegan meals (vitto) · Private accommodation in a bungalow · A small, authentic community experience in nature What we are looking for — two kinds of kindred spirits: 1. Families with young children (1–3 years old) who travel with a camper, caravan or tent – and who wish to share daily life, help with small tasks, and participate in a growing vegetarian ecovillage project on land full of energy, beauty and potential. 2. You’ll help us with the many daily tasks of country life (gardening, building, cooking, childcare, maintenance, etc.). In excha...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Simon and Sylvie live in a big house in the suburbs of Toulouse, with a small garden. UPDATE: In the month of July we will be doing some fairly technical painting work (ceilings, doors etc) and some insulation work involving wood, nails and hammers. We will also be fixing up old bicycles. We`re looking for two friends or a couple to stay with us for 10 days or so in July In exchange for 4 hours a day doing these tasks we shall put you up and feed you with good French cuisine. We can put helpers up in the attic apartment - an independent flat designed, constructed and decorated by helpers past. There is a lot to see in Toulouse and we`re only a few minutes from the nearest metro station into town ... and the brand-new téléphérique to nowhere. Helpers often find that a week in a big French city is welcome relief after weeks out in the sticks with no night-life, cafés or young people around. Toulouse has all this ... and more! WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

=============== Update May 8, 2026. We have space for one person currently until the end of May. Then we full until July 1, and we may have another space starting July 13. =============== Spaces that may be available are: a small loft room that is accessible by a short ladder, or a loft bed above our yoga room. And sometimes other bedrooms when people go away. Top skills we are looking for right now: - Cooking/cleaning - indoor plants and sprouts. - Help with renovation projects (finishing a basement bathroom.) Note: We don't always book people many months in advance, we prefer to wait until closer to the start dates so we can see how much space we have. Some people here stay longer than they initially planned so we don't always know the timing of openings long in advance. If you would like to help, please let us know your range of availability and preferred length of stay. We are an 11-person vegetarian community house in Toronto. We live in rural Ireland. We had six children, but they are all left home now. We are keen walkers and cyclists. Musical family, warm, friendly, humorous, laid back. WE HAVE NO TELEVISION, but we do have internet. We need help with our large garden and our large boat (on River Shannon). You may like to help in our small engineering business (but that is not essential at all!). Mother is really a very good cook, but she will welcome help. You will have your own room. We have two showers, but only one toilet (and an outside toilet). Our area is lovely for walking and it is very safe. There is good traditional music here and good fishing! You will really enjoy staying with us and you will laugh a lot! You will earn friends for life. We have six Grandchildren (another two in process!), they are lovely to play with. We have LOTS of good bicycles (cycling is one of our passions, along with music and laughing). We cannot promise, but might have use of a small car. Our G...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

Hello everybody!! Thank you so much for your precious help on the past seasons! WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU FOR THE GREAT SEASON 2026!! The hostel is a family business, a factory of friendship, as we usually call it, and has a very relaxed atmosphere, located in a fantastic spot with excellent beaches. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

An old house by seaside village 14 kilometers from pittoresque small town Porvoo and 63 km from capital Helsinki needs gardnering, wood works, painting, kitchen work, cleaning and other domestic help. A small Maltesian dog likes to get walking company in the nearby forest, where you can pick up berries, mushrooms etc. Sauna baths, swimming in the see, rowing a boat, playing tennis and fishing is possible here.

We are a family with two children (3yo, 6yo). We moved into our house two years ago and still have lots to do in this house and garden. We try to set up a permaculture like fruit and vegetable garden, but at the moment it's mostly Thuja trees. It's difficult with two children to find the time and energy for everything. We appreciate help for the following: - paperhanging and painting - get rid of some Thujas - tidy up the garage - cook dinner - play with children - garden work - clean / vacuum - seal walls with mortar - set up furniture - install ceiling lights We invite you to live as part of the family regarding meals, spending time in the living room, using the garden etc. You may join for our activities, but we don't expect socializing. We mostly cook vegetarian and are happy to provide vegan meals. The sleeping arrangements may vary due to different states of renovating. We have spare mattresses and covers and probably can give you a room to yourself. In summer we can also o...

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. ⭐️ About our project⭐️ We are a small community school located in Tnol Trong Village, just 13km away from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school is a registered non-profit NGO, founded in February 2013 by my lovely family. Cambodia is seeing a strong growth in the tourism industry, which will provide an increasing number of employment opportunities in the future, especially for the children around the Siem Reap area and for a career in tourism, English is essential. That’s why our school has one clear goal: to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds free access to English and Chinese education, helping them gain a real chance to access future job opportunities. Our school currently offers FREE English lessons to nearly 180 children from the Bakong community. Many of the local families struggle with basic needs like food, water and health related costs, let alone getting the kids to attend class, afford mandatory school fees and uniforms. Education is often their only real chance to b...

Jobs: Gardening, cleaning up a barn and organize the tools, cleaning in and around the house, cooking, giving company to the family - play board games and go for walks with the dog.... Many more things to do and to see. We are a typical German family. Mom has a part-time job as a teacher and manages all family life. Dad, an engineer, leaves home for work every day except weekends. The boys attend a secondary school. Early birds are welcome! ;) You should like to be part of a family and feel comfortable with company. Cooking, cleaning and gardening do not sound strange to you, because you know how to do these things back home or you want to learn some more skills from us. You are fine with getting your hands dirty and own some old clothes to get an outdoor-project done. Nosy kids are no problem, becaus you like them and be able to handle by playing soccer or jumper on the trampolin in the garden. Play a board game with the family or enjoy a walk in the forest. You have no problem...

I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I enjoy being host and enhancing their NZ experience. And when I visit them they do the same for me. Alex, Mel, Kenzie & Emmie

Toulouse has all this ... and more! Franco-Irish family - Simon and Sylvie - with one d...

We are a family with two children (3yo, 6yo). We moved into our house two years ago and still have lots to do in this house and garden.
