CURRENTLY SEEKING A COUPLE, single male or female from early March 2026 onwards, but please feel free to ask if you have some availability either now or in the future. A MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...

Nourished Landscapes is a 5-acre permaculture and Land for Wildlife property in Jimboomba, South East Queensland, located in a rain-shadow region that receives less rainfall than greater Brisbane. The property is designed and managed using regenerative permaculture principles, with a strong focus on water efficiency, food production and long-term self-sufficiency. Since moving onto the land in 2016, the site has evolved into a diverse, productive landscape with established native vegetation, food forests, perennial growing systems, water-harvesting earthworks, wicking beds, a greywater garden, and a zero-waste nursery and worm farm. Ducks, geese, chickens, pigs and sheep are raised on the property, alongside honeybee hives. On-site harvesting and food preservation are part of the system. Doreen runs Nourished Landscapes as a permaculture consulting and education business, offering workshops, one-on-one food-growing coaching and property consultations. We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

An organic project in a stunning location, We’re currently completing a rainwater catchment system and doing some renovation projects around the farm. The work is hands-on and varied, and we usually work together for about 4-5 hours a day, 4-5 d days a week. If we’re having fun with a project, we might keep going a bit longer! The weather in winter is usually cool to warm and dry, which makes working outside pretty enjoyable. You’ll stay in a small bedroom with two beds at the farm, or possibly in a separate room near the house. If our rainwater storage runs out, we have to collect our water from the village 3km away, so we’re mindful about water use. Torvizcon is the village close by with everything you might need—bar, shop, garage, pharmacy, and more. A direct bus to and from Granada runs 2–3 times a day, so getting around is quite easy even without a car. Orgiva is 14km away. If you enjoy practical and sometimes creative projects, a relaxed atmosphere, and working together, you...

If you REALLY love dogs, cats and nature and are looking for a role that can lead to working your 88 days for visa sign off or a permanent paid role... We need a kind and fit person to start who would be happy to do all the jobs needed to keep our dogs healthy and happy. OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). OUR 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests ...

Hi everyone, We are a busy farming family based in South Taranaki, milking 440 cows and sharing our farm with a bunch of chickens. We met 10 years ago, when I was travelling New Zealand as a backpacker, and we've loved hosting travelers ever since. We have three energetic boys who adore the outdoors. Life here is active and relaxed- you'll often find us outside riding motorbikes on the farm, heading out for walks, or exploring the area with the kids on their bikes. We're really looking forward to welcoming travelers again, hearing your stories, and giving our boys the chance to meet people from different cultures. At the moment, we'd appreciate help with jobs such as weed spraying on the farm and getting the gardens sorted. You'll be staying in a spacious 6 bedroom home with unlimited wifi and you'll have your own private bedroom with bathroom. There is loads to see and do around us- we're just 10 minutes from town and the bach, Tawhiti museum is nearby and the mountain tracks are...

Constant appaloosas is a small holding where we breed and train horses for ourselves and occasionally others. We have help exchange programs running throughout the year for interested students of all ages. Vet students get a really good grounding here. What we expect from you, conduct yourself in an open and friendly manner, engage in all aspects of life on the farm and seize all opportunities with enthusiasm, avoid rude and disrespectful behaviour to people horses and dogs.

Kia ora everyone, we are Tesh & Dave, the owners of this place since January 2022. We have a peaceful lifestyle block of 10 acres just 8 minutes drive from the amazing little surf town of Whaingaroa, Raglan. Our property has two fully self-contained glamping tents set up for Airbnb guests, and a self-contained cottage (where HelpX guests stay). The cottage has a queen size bed, its own bathroom & small kitchen. It also has WiFi and aircon. Tesh's parents live on the property too in a separate house, and our 3D printing business Reformation Studios is also located here. Our vision is to transform this 'farmy' style block into a beautifully landscaped forest of native trees, cherry blossom trees, gardens, and orchards for our guests and family to enjoy. We are currently busy planting trees and doing lots of projects around the property. Sustainability is a priority for us. We have alpacas, ducks and a very friendly, energetic dog (Iroh, a springer spaniel). It is essential that any HelpX...

We have an opening from starting May 2026. We'd love for you to stay a minimum of 2 weeks, but longer is even better! A Typical Day: Wake up in your own private room. Help us out for a few hours in the morning with a mix of gardening, planting, and some general DIY projects. You'lll work by yourself mostly but I will help when need be, and if it's raining, we'll move indoors for something else. You'll have plenty of days off to relax and explore the area. The Perks: We'll provide a comfortable place to stay, delicious meals (a light breakfast and home-cooked dinners!), and all the comforts you need. Think a private room with a comfy bed, your own nearby bathroom, and lightning-fast Wi-Fi for streaming or chatting with family. Your Home Base: Our place is set in a quiet, country-style location, but y...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria and now the far south coast of NSW. We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach. The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. We are looking for people who want who are fit, strong and happy to work outdoors. Please bring suitable clothes, boots and hat. There may be occasional days working on our daughter's property, a simply gorgeous location in the Bega hinterland, with t...

The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...
