At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'.Sue came in September 2019 and ha...

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i kinda prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. I am into music (composing/playing); Alternative health / medicine ; Electronics / Engineering / technology ; Anything weird wacky unusual unexplained strange secret, etc etc...; Business combining most of the above, ;) .. The world is full of amazing things and possibilities and Life can never be dull for the seeker with an open mind. I do not drink or smoke and i prefer vegetarian food but still i m pretty flexible.. During the warmer months me and my crew travel to various outdoor music festivals around Australia and we run some fun projects like a Live Jamming/Chill Space, etc.. We cre...

Hi folks, YES, we achieved a lot since returning from a 3+ year break in Feb 2022, beautifying our wonderful property, something we could not have done on our own. We are thankful for having had great assistance from amazing volunteers over the years, enriching our lives culturally and socially while progressing our beautification projects. We are a fit & energetic older couple with the following background: - Rene, 68yo, Swiss origin, Architect / Photographer / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur / Handyman (DIY Building) / Landscaper / Gardener . - Julie, 64yo, Philippine origin, Chef / Traveller / Retired Resort Owner & Operator / Retired Tour Operator / Retired Restaurateur. Our hosting, as well as workflow, is intermediate, as such, we may have breaks in between and preferences & requirements may change. With most of the earlier days' heavy lifting on structural projects done, our current projects are more along fine-tunin...

Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. **We are especially looking for people with carpentry and building skills but plenty of garden and organising work if you're unskilled.** We are Cathy (45) and Leo (who is 12 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. Unfortunately at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a twice daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are...

Hi fabulous help-xers! We have an opportunity for a couple, or a small group of helpx to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We have a lodge that was severely damaged by the cyclone in February, but we are back up and running and hosting groups for accommodation, weddings etc. We are trying to keep up with gardening and maintenance of both the lodge and our own home as I have been overseeing the re-build/gardening at the lodge. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 8, 10 and 12) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with getting our beautiful riverside accommodation business up and running whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautif...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

Hi everyone, We're looking for a helping hand at our place ! We have some free spots on our calendar and would love to welcome a volunteer to join us. In September, we'll need someone to house-sit and watch our dogs and cats . If you're interested in volunteering and potentially house sitting in September, send us a message! Sometimes, finding yourself lost brings you to this place. Our home gives the gift of getting alone. Allowing you to put yourself in decreased sensory input. To hear yourself again. Visitors in years gone by have found this time alone has simplified the heart and pathed the way for the journey ahead. Disconnect to reconnect and clear your mind in hectares of Spanish landscape. While we offer hosting from two weeks, we're ideal for those searching for an extended stay…a couple months sounds like a treat! We live a content and uncomplicated life, with an emphasis on zero waste. If you're up for the task and ready to take on the adventure, we would love to hea...

We offer accommodation and two dinners - usually Monday and Thursday. You will provide and organize your other meals. Your studio has a kitchen with stove, fridge, and cooking equipment. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai. The city also supports some ancient spiritual caves and temples. It is active in movies, art galleries and night life as well. Previously I had been bu...

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. I must finish preparing the terraces and the garden for winter planting. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 5 domestic geese, two chickens, two dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, planting organic plots, habitual garden work, Cleaning the Forrest, building a new lodge for the geese. I'd also like help to build a traditional kitchen and central heating installation with pellet syst...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Work includes gardening projects, feeding chickens, mowing, brush cutting, household chores and upgrading the chicken pen and organising work spaces. **Accommodation is either in a detached house in the forest (up a steep hill from the main house) There are two separate bedrooms up there and our 17-year-old son sleeps in one bedroom and you will have the other bedroom. Hi, we are closed for a bit to have a break... I am the Chef and my partner Noel the Gardner, together we have created beautiful gardens and a small restaurant about 40 minutes from Hobart, which is now open for lunch 3 days of the week. We have a great cottage for you with a verandah, wifi and sensational coastal views, we live in the main house. We have learnt a lot after losing everything to a bushfire 11 years ago. Now we are doing great things with the farm and restaurant, cooking mostly local farm produce along with seafood, chicken and pork dishes which is also the food we would cook for you. So if you think you might like to come to a beautiful farm and wood fired kitchen with great food, then please send us a message! We are flexible with hours and like you to have time out to explore our region which is truly amazing, we will help with transport when possible. Thanks for reading about us. We wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences! Cheers, Mike and Noel.

We are a german/kiwi family of three (me and my husband with our 9 year old son) looking for 2 motivated and friendly people to help us with gardening and other jobs around the property. 20 hours per person per week. We need help with weeding, trimming, lawn mowing, water blasting, house wash, window clean, deck staining and more. We often have other small to medium size projects on the go which you can get involved in depending on your skill set. Minimum stay is one week and are happy to have people most times of the year. Ideally suits someone friendly and very reliable and responsible, who has used garden power tools before, but not a must, we can show and teach you. You will need to be someone with good common sense and physically fit and keen to give things a go. Strictly no smoking on site, no parties, drugs or excessive alcohol :-) We provide all tools and safety gear, just bring your enthusiasm and a sense of humor!  You will get your own very large room with your own bathr...

Accommodation is a self-contained studio which includes kitchen, en-suite and wi-fi. We welcome guests, for one week, to help with house and garden for 12 hours per week per guest. We offer accommodation and two dinners - usually Monday and Thursday. You will provide and organize your other meals. Your studio has a kitchen with stove, fridge, and cooking equipment. I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives.

*Update - Autumn - April-June. We currently have a lot of projects on at the moment so there is a wide selection of tasks to choose from. Or you can sleep in your own van or we have tents (and we have plenty of comfortable mattresses and bedding so no worries about being comfortable). We generally appreciate help in the gardens and around the house with general maintenance, firewood collecting, raking, painting, weeding, feeding chickens etc. Work is flexible and we build a list and you can choose what you want to do.

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 3 and half hours a day (20-22) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!
