Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! We are investing our time, our energy and our lives, in creating a Permaculture Centre in southern Italy and an outdoor homeschool in nature. We are off grid. We are looking for family with 1-3 y.o. child - with camper, caravan or tent and families who want to invest and participate in a vegetarian ecovillage project in this land full of energy, beautiful ideas and advantageous prices. We are looking for vegetarians / vegans interested in an experience in our small Permaculture center, helping us with the thousand daily commitments that country life offers. You will find us halfway between Bari (30 minutes by car) and Matera (40 minutes by car).

In 2018, we planted over 9000 native trees in a designated plantation, and are looking for some help planting 2000 more. This stay would be ideal for a couple, two friends or one independent solo traveller to help for approx. 5 hours per day (depending on the weather) during their stay, with plenty time to explore the beaches and wild hills of North Uist in between. The dates are flexible, but ideally starting February 23rd for a period of two-three weeks. If interested, some of the time could be spent helping feed our livestock & getting involved with other croft jobs! We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk.
