We are Axel and Mônica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers from end of February 2026 for three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

Kia ora! Seeking help all through the year. The home is a large Oamaru stone villa where my 20yr old son and our tabby cat live with me. Our work does take us away from home from time to time and we need help to maintain the existing gardens, and to redevelop some areas. I am redeveloping an area to become a vegetable garden and would love help with this. We have around 2 acres of garden - mainly flowers, hedges and mature trees with a pond which plays host to gold fish and attracts numerous dragonflies. The gardens are very tranquil. We host small events occasionally and sometimes run garden tours. Ideally, you'll have a bit of garden knowledge, but most importantly you'll be fit, have initiative and a willingness to muck in and help outdoors. The majority of work will be weeding, pruning, trimming. I expect 4 hours of productive work each day in exchange for accommodation, breakfast provisions for you to help yourself to, lunch and dinner. The accommodation is a bedroom in a s...

Hello helpers! Thank you for your offers! My name is Joe, I operate a Guesthouse and campground in Chiba prefecture, Japan. I am looking for people to help me run my guesthouse, farming. I would prefer one person or a couple (aged 18-60), foreigners and Japanese people are welcome. The minimum time to stay is 1 week, and the maximum would be 1 month (2 weeks at first, another two weeks if we get along). Some helpers stay one month. In the past I have travelled to different countries and met different people. (Recently almost in Asia. 35yers ago i went… Europe: Spain, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, England, Italy, North/Central America). When I got back to Japan, I decided to create a guesthouse for cultural exchanges, and to be able to travel while being at home. I want my guests and volunteers to share their knowledge with me and for me to show them my traditional life in Japan. I am very open-minded and I would love for you to teach me some of your culture. The guesthouse is 3...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We are a family, with 3 at home now (includes 18 year old daughter) and live on a small farm on the Otago Peninsula. It is 15 mins drive to the centre of Dunedin, and on a convenient bus route. You can walk down to the local shops, gallery, beach, boat club etc and we have great harbour and rural outlook (while still being close to town). We have a collection of pets (cats, dog) as well as sheep and alpaca on the property. We both work as well as managing the activities on the farm and house/garden. We have a beautiful (and currently very overgrown) established garden, and would appreciate some help with gardening and other maintenance jobs around the house and property. Our house is an old villa, and is a mix of renovated, partly renovated, and a bit run down! We have a sleep-out near the house. You need to come inside the house to use the bathroom, and are welcome to stay in the house in the evenings. Currently we also have a room inside the house, with double bed. We are...

Our community is a colorful, international bunch of nice people, with Austrian, Middle Eastern, Polish, and German roots and many international friends from all over the world. Feri (43) and Lise (50) currently live here permanently. The children, Layla (12) and Aisha (10), visit us regularly on weekends and during holidays. Natalia (30) and her two children, Maja (11) and Damian (7), also come by from time to time when they are not traveling in their camper van. Feri's cousins visit us regularly to enjoy time together and prepare delicious oriental food! We also have many other visitors (friends, helpers, and family) from all over the world. We have a big family and a lot of friends who come from all over the world to visit. We sometimes have family events and could use an extra hand getting things ready—whether that's preparing rooms or other bits and pieces. Don't worry, we don't have paying guests; all our visitors are family and friends. We're living the dream here in Lower Austr...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

I’m Darrall, a long-time design educator (https://profiles.uts.edu.au/Darrall.Thompson/about) who now maintains a quiet coastal home and garden solo. To keep things comfortable, helpers stay in a private, self-contained cottage 20 metres from the main house, see photos (own kitchen/dining, bathroom with shower, lounge area, two king-single sofa beds, wood-burning stove, unlimited Wi-Fi, air-con heating/cooling, basic linen, access to laundry). Non-smoking, no drugs, no pets, no children. Quiet hours 10pm–7am. Couples or pairs only... your own car is essential as there are no shops in the village. Location & perks: • 1-min walk to the Port Stephens inland sea (kayak available; dolphins visit), 1-min walk to ~1000 acres of bushland (wallabies, birds) • 5 min drive to the M1, 20 min to two spectacular beaches + supermarket/shops/restaurants (Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest) Your own car is essential as there are no shops in North Arm Cove. • 30 min drive to Newcastle Airport, 1 hr to Hunter Vall...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. We are a Kiwi-American family that have just returned to NZ after a career overseas with the United Nations. We have lived in Switzerland, Lebanon, New York, Kenya, Sudan and Somalia. We love welcoming people to our home and are now making it our livelihood. Craig is originally from the Wairarapa, so this is home for him. We have two dogs and a cat. Eventually, we will add chickens, horses and who knows what else. Dawn and Gwynneth speak French and Spanish (as well as rusty Portuguese and Kiswahili). We have an 1880 farmhouse that we are developing into a lodge. There are 10 acres of land, kitchen gardens with raised beds and orchards. There is plenty to do in the gardens, but if volunteers prefer housework, there is room turnover and cooking help as Craig is a chef and provides meals for the guests. We also have some decorative gardens and a functional swimming pool. We have just renovated an outbuilding and turned it into a bunkhouse for volunteers that can host up to 4 people in s...

Please look to the end for current information. Hi there, I live on a small property close to town, with a stream, subtropicals and some veg and flower gardens. I also run tourist accommodation that is self contained, but always requires work, some cleaning and gardening. I work as an artist, making pots, felting and dyeing. The house is new so there is lots of work to do establishing the garden and generally getting sorted. I would like help with all or any of these things. I particularly value people who love gardening and being outside. One person is ideal for me.I have a small single bedroom for helpers, and the house is pretty open so I take only women. 4/02 26 I'm currently looking for a helper in February to help me look after an art exhibition I am in. From 13th Of Feb for a week or ten days. The job would be sitting in the gallery for three hours some days of the week, or helping at home while I sit in the gallery. Reasonably good English language would be needed an...

We are in need of volunteers for our community. We prefer volunteers who are willing to work, teach and show our children and community the good way how to make organic farm in order to save our environment. Teaching other subjects to the children, teach adults English lesson, coach our football club. We're flexible in what you chose to do. In the afternoons volunteers run a program called “English Corner” where they teach English classes to local people, helping adults to improve their English skills. Many strive to learn English in order to have better job opportunities in the future. Free-time activities A trip to Tanzania is the chance to experience life in the heart of Africa. There’s plenty to see and do here during your free time on your project. A project in Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without a safari! This is a chance to see the beautiful wildlife of this country, like elephants, rhinos, and lions. What’s more, Tanzania is home to the highest mountain in Africa, Mount ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. If ...

Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

We have avocado trees, mango trees and some other tropical trees. For the helpers we have built a wooden house (3x4m) an outdoor dry toilet and shower. We have electricity with photovoltaic. Anyone with knowledge about gardening, pruning trees, building skills, or a bit of wood building... would be sincerely appreciated and a helping hand around the house would be really welcome in return for comfortable accommodation in an independent wooden house together with a nice meal around lunchtime. Hi there, We live in Wilton, which is a central Wellington suburb and need help from an individual or couple (one or two) people with our house and large section. There are lots of things to do and at the moment I need help with painting in addition to garden work (helping with our now slightly overgrown vege garden, planting, pruning, clearing ivy), plus various other random garden, house maintenance and living tasks, mostly outside. Ideally you have some gardening or solid work experience and can work independently. Anyone with a trade background is particularly welcome. Being fit and motivated is also good. You will have your own bedroom and will be a part of the household with ourselves (Martin and Doro) and 3 kids (9, 13, 15). Wilton is a peaceful suburb 10-15 minutes bike ride from the town centre. Whilst very central, our house also feels quite rural, as it opens out onto a large hillside park at the rear and has lovely sunny views over the adjacent green hills. This is a ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

Greetings! We live in rural northern Alberta. We have 7 children ages 11 to 19; most are living with us and some are off on their own adventures.. We live on a small farm and have a garden, few cows, horses, chickens, cats and dogs. We enjoy hosting people from other countries and the experience of making the world more real to our children. We are looking to exchange room and board for 4-5 hours of help with the various indoor or outdoor tasks plus another 15 minutes or so of helping clean up in the kitchen after supper. We have lots of space to roam in the forest and fields. We also have a dugout for swimming and kayaks to use in the summer. Snowshoes in the winter. In the winter on clear cold nights you may be lucky enough to see the magical Northern Lights. Winter and summer, our skies are always beautiful. Trips to town are rare. We do not smoke in our home. The space we have for you is a cabin or small camper in a lovely, secluded meadow with a campfire. It is a 5 minut...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM THE BEGINNING OF MARCH. We are fully booked until then. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, ...

I’m Darrall, a long-time design educator (https://profiles.uts.edu.au/Darrall.Thompson/about) who now maintains a quiet coastal home and garden solo. Non-smoking, no drugs, no pets, no children. Quiet hours 10pm–7am. Couples or pairs only... your own car is essential as there are no shops in the village.

It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland.

Help needed right now in the garden, in the house (renovation-ecobuilding) and in the olive orchard. We are Francesco, Angelica, Pauahtun and Liu (respectively 10 and 4 years old). We live in a peaceful place surrounded by oak-ash-hornbeam forest and mediterranean vegetation. The place is in the Molise region, a forest rich area. We are also near a river (3,5 km) and 40 km from the sea. That`s to say that if you`re looking for a beautiful place and contact with Nature, you found it!! Generally we need help in the garden and orchard (seeding, planting, digging, collecting seeds, fruits, wild vegetables etc.), to cut wood for the winter, to build with natural materials.

At the moment we receice helpers from March 2026 onwards. We have a small house and kitchen garden, trees and chickens in the south of Spain near Salobreña in the countryside. We are looking for help around and about the house and garden. We, that are my daughter (17), my partner Peter, our 3 dogs (2 very nice Bobtails-boys and a mixture-girl who is a bit nervous), 1 cat, 10 chickens and me (my daughter and I are vegetarians). In the wooden house you have a kitchen and a fridge and can pro...
