Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-us...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Seven years ago, we moved to our small farm in Northern Victoria. We have been growing fruit and vegetables, planting trees, and learning to care for the land. Tim is a retired engineer. He designs and builds things around the farm. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at an Australian university. She loves her rose garden with over 400 fragrant bushes that smell beautiful on a cool morning. The farm has an organic vegetable garden, an orchard, berry patches, a herb garden, and a music room with a baby grand piano in the house. If you play an instrument, bring it. We are close to the Murray River. The skies are big, the sunrises and sunsets are stunning, and the birdlife is extraordinary, from flame robins and splendid fairy-wrens to eagles, grass parrots, and a family of quail who live in the herb garden. And then there are the magpies. They are our farm mascot, you will find sculptures and mosaics of them all around the property and they will wake you every mor...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Since 2017, I worked with a partner who left for other ventures at the beginning of this year, and I now work alone. We've already had several interns on our farm. I need someone to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: harvesting the spirulina, cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, communication, deliveries, farm tours, online orders, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

We are a small, owner-run hostel in Christchurch offering accommodation to people who are willing to combine hostel work with paid residential cleaning work.

I’m an easy-going, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and a relaxed environment. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. House also has a permanent tenant, Gloria from Italy (early 30's) who has been here over a year. The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱. T...

Hi :-) We are looking for helpers for the first half of June 2026. Our farm is located 30 minutes drive from the city of Bergen, the Fjord Capital of Norway. It is a small, quiet family farm where Marit (60) and John (64) live, and three fantastic daughters are visiting to help with the animals, old norwegian sheep and a cat. We are all easy going, friendly and looking for helpers for two first weeks of June 2026. Everyone do have jobs or studies beside the farming, but during the spring and summer months it is all about farming. We are looking for good helpers who can stay for around 2 weeks. We would like to have helpers that can be a part of our farm, speak some English and help us with work like harvesting, painting, gardening and of course the farming. There is always something to do here. In addition to the farmwork, we are located in the quiet contryside, close to the woods, and one can always walk to the ocean for some hours of fishing. You will get to stay in the farm hou...

Any building skills are very welcome!!)) Masonry, carpentry, strong hands and clever mind - all I need here)) The house is situated very close to the cost of Atlantic ocean. Big plot of land rounded the house - so garden skills are welcome too. The place is really nice to stay for the nature lovers and surf fans. There are dozen absolutely stunning beaches around here almost empty when the tourist season is over. Really beautiful mountains full of chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn. Fishing and horse riding are available too (I have a beautiful stallion). And of course the costal views are amazing (authentic paradise for the photo enthusiasts)! Preferably artistic minded people mostly the painters who can share there knowledge and art skills. Artists with strong hands are welcome))

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of APRIL. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post office and a small shop AND...

Kia ora HelpX ers, We are a retired couple offering our one-acre property on the edge of New Plymouth, a vibrant coastal city nestled in the heart of Taranaki, New Zealand. Famous for its dramatic backdrop of Mount Taranaki, New Plymouth is celebrated for its public art scene, lush gardens, and seamless blend of urban culture and outdoor adventure. Highlights include an 11km coastal walkway, a bustling café and restaurant scene, beaches, the sweeping 52-hectare Pukekura Park, and much more. Tucked in the countryside yet just 5–10 minutes from suburban amenities and the CBD, our property is a work in progress in the best possible way. We are developing our outdoor spaces, growing our own food, establishing a food forest within our existing orchard, and building vegetable gardens guided by permaculture principles. It is an ongoing journey with plenty still to discover, and we would love the help of enthusiastic hands around the house, but mostly the garden. We have no animals at present...

Please read carefully before applying. This is not a short-term or volunteer-only stay. We are a small, owner-run hostel in Christchurch offering accommodation to people who are willing to combine hostel work with paid residential cleaning work. This role requires reliability, initiative, and comfort with real cleaning work. If you are looking only to volunteer a few hours in exchange for accommodation, this role will not be suitable. Cleaning work is paid at $23.50/hour during probation, plus 12 hours per week of hostel work in exchange for accommodation. Minimum stay is 3 months. Applicants must be willing to complete hostel housekeeping and reception tasks and work in residential houses. The first 2 weeks are a probation period. After probation (if it’s a good fit), increased regular paid hours are provided. The work itself is hands-on, practical cleaning. You must be comfortable cleaning bathrooms and toilets properly, removing bathroom limescale, cleaning kitchens and the occas...
