Hi Helpers, We have a property in Queensberry which is 18km south from Wanaka. We have been growing and planting both native and exotic trees to regenerate the land. We also grow vegetables, saffron and have an orchard and a small plant nursery. We have chickens and will provide you with fresh eggs to enjoy. We are close to finishing a purpose built restaurant on our land too! We have one retro caravan for sleeping with a double bed and feather down duvet, or you can stay in your own sleeping van. We have well provisioned camp ground facilities with all you need to self cater. There is a space in the shed to hang out in and enjoy the rural tranquility. We are located in the Upper Clutha basin surrounded by beautiful mountains, lakes and rivers. We are far enough from urban areas to have clear night skies and be really connected to nature. There is an abundance of bike trails, walks and other Central Otago attractions. The river is close by to explore the many tracks and appreciate t...

We are a family, with 3 at home now (includes 18 year old daughter) and live on a small farm on the Otago Peninsula. It is 15 mins drive to the centre of Dunedin, and on a convenient bus route. You can walk down to the local shops, gallery, beach, boat club etc and we have great harbour and rural outlook (while still being close to town). We have a collection of pets (cats, dog) as well as sheep and alpaca on the property. We both work as well as managing the activities on the farm and house/garden. We have a beautiful (and currently very overgrown) established garden, and would appreciate some help with gardening and other maintenance jobs around the house and property. Our house is an old villa, and is a mix of renovated, partly renovated, and a bit run down! We have a sleep-out near the house. You need to come inside the house to use the bathroom, and are welcome to stay in the house in the evenings. Currently we also have a room inside the house, with double bed. We are...

I live in a large house in Veyrin, a very very small village, in a very nice countryside in France, 90km East of Lyon, not fare from the Alps. Genève (Switzerland) is 1h30 driving. I'm looking for non-smokers helpers, who could help me 4h/day in my organic vegetable garden or helping me to welcome holidaymakers and pilgrims in my gite. You will have your own bedroom. The common kitchen is to be shared with everybody. The food is vegetarian. I can speak English. If you are sportive we can lend you a bicycle to visit around. The first town is 12km from Veyrin. I have a cat. I don't accept others pets. Please contact me if you want more details. You can also have a look on my website via link below. Looking forward meeting you.

Come Spend Some Time in the Coromandel 🌿 We have beaches, we have forests, and we have a very casual relationship with clocks. We’re a couple in our 40s–50s looking for people to share our piece of wilderness with. We have two somewhat manic cats, but we ourselves are fairly chill. Over the years we’ve tried a wide range of hobbies and crafts, from home brewing and cheesemaking to glass blowing and hang gliding (some more current than others!). We enjoy meeting creative people and giving everything a go. We’ve travelled through Scandinavia and Asia and look forward to travelling again, but for now we travel vicariously through our visitors’ stories — and love helping you make the most of your adventures in New Zealand. Our property is 26 hectares of regenerating native bush, with a stream, waterfalls, swimming holes, glow worms, and plenty of space to explore. We’re close to Whitianga, Hot Water Beach, and Cathedral Cove, yet the home itself is tucked into the forest where you can ...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. This is a cozy Norwegian farm located in Åkrafjorden in western Norway. We are looking for someone who likes to help out with animals, as we also work outside the farm. We have sheep, horses, cats, chickens and a dog at our farm. In addition, we also produce firewood and lumber. The farm is rich in history and cultural artwork. My name is Brita and I'm married to Tormod, who grew up on Årtun. We bought the farm in 2023, and Tormod's parents is still living on the farm in their own house. The accommodation for helpers is a spacious room in the basement of our house, with a double bed, a small dining table and a fireplace. Just across the hall is a bathroom with toilet and shower, that would be reserved for helpers. If needed, we could make room for another helper in a smaller room. We would share the kitchen and living room upstairs on the main floor. We have our own floor in the attic with our own bathroom and bedroom. Dogs are welcome, if well behaved. I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for land, acquiring tools, equipment, ideas, networking. There is a lot of work to be done...it's not for those that would like to do nothing more than meditate (though, that is super great that you can do that), or get drunk all day (hey, it's a hard world....seriously, no judgement) or complain about all the shit that's going on in the world (you a...

A beach front section. Kayaking, body boarding, swimming and fishing available for guests. Accommodation and meals provided in exchange for four hours work a day. Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. My preference is for people to stay a week. Taupo Bay is quite a small community and no public transport is available so it is often easier to have your own transport. Certainly not essential as arrangements can be made for collection and support to get to your next destination. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui. Many thanks for looking. Fran

We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and ospreys. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the extensive renovations and ongoing running costs we run part of the house as a holiday cottage/self-catering annex and have 2 additional rooms in the main house where we offer high-end bed and breakfast (B&B). My husband wor...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (33years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (25years old) who joined me six months ago and with Maelvin since few months. it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, insulation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials and with exchanging with people, that why we ask a little help for paying food (10euro...

We live in a tiny town in the Far North of New Zealand and are very involved in our local community. We have travelled extensively ourselves and love meeting new people. We need help with mostly with gardening tasks and few indoor jobs. Our interests are cooking, travelling, sailing, making music, family, and community development. We live on a quarter acre section overlooking a harbour. We have two vegetable gardens and 20 fruit trees. Our town is in a predominantly Maori part of NZ. There is a small local store and two cafes. Nearby is the stunning wild West Coast of Northland. We have five adult children scattered around the world and two informally adopted local grandchildren. David is a former counsellor, and I was an arts business tutor at polytecs and a university. I now volunteer doing strategic planning and funding applications with a local community education trust.

OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). OUR 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guests ...

Hi We are a mature couple who live in Ohaupo, near Hamilton and two hours south of Auckland We live with a beautiful small dog, called Buddy, a goat, 2 cats 4 chickens and a Duck. We live 1.35km from a small town, that has a little grocery shop, a cafe, antique shops and a bakery . The closest town is 11 minutes away (Te Awamutu), Cambridge is 20 minutes away and Hamilton 14 minutes. The Waitomo caves are 45 minutes away, with the Kiwi House is on the way. We are 15 minutes from down town Tauranga and we are planting our driveway after a new access road has been built. We love having a team of helpx helping us as this is a big project and we need some energetic, strong and enthusiastic helpers!! We particularly need help from late January until April this year We have a beautiful property with lovely river running through - in summer it is great for swimming or using the pizza oven which we have by the river! There is so much to do in our region - from mountain biking to surfing at Mount Maunganui and a quick trip over the hill to see Hobbiton or a day trip to Rotorua. Hello, ☺️ Please note that we are currently unable to welcome guests due to renovations. We will be able to reopen in summer 2026. Hello to you, travelers and curious souls 🌿 We are a small family full of energy and projects: Fabrice, Marion, and little Lucas (20 months old). We live in an old Bresse farmhouse in the Ain department, near the Jura mountains, surrounded by fields, forests, and lakes (the nearest are just 15 minutes away). The farm is located in a quiet, private setting, in the heart of 3.5 hectares of land. It's a place conducive to nature, creativity, and encounters. We are improving this farm to make it a warm, creative, and open place for sharing. This project is above all personal, driven by the pleasure of sharing and creating a welcoming place for our family, friends, and visitors. Specifically, we are improving: • The exterior (woodland, garden area, paths, plantings, etc.) • A former barn that we dream of transforming into a space for expression (music, conc...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Failte gu Trumisgearraidh, We're a young couple based in North Uist, seeking some extra help with tree planting this February! In 2018, we planted over 9000 native trees in a designated plantation, and are looking for some help planting 2000 more. This stay would be ideal for a couple, two friends or one independent solo traveller to help for approx. 5 hours per day (depending on the weather) during their stay, with plenty time to explore the beaches and wild hills of North Uist in between. The dates are flexible, but ideally starting February 23rd for a period of two-three weeks. If interested, some of the time could be spent helping feed our livestock & getting involved with other croft jobs! In exchange we would invite the volunteer/s to stay in our self catering cabin (photo attached, or you can view it by searching Am Bothan, North Uist), and if you are interested in learning some gàidhlig, Keith and his parents are fluent speakers. In your spare time you will have plenty oppo...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with an good level of conversation English and a person who is fun loving with an open personality is preferred. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians. The priority is to have some company and energy in my home. Activities include long walks, board games, tending garden, watching TV shows and conversations. In general the active time will be 4 hours a day / 5 days a week. House also has other bedrooms with ordinary tenants.

There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Fran
