Looking for anyone interested in helping on our 60ha/150 acre Certified Organic family farm. Accommodation is in an adjacent self-contained cottage so we can cater for small groups or couples. We are located 100 kms west of Cairns with buses from Cairns to Mareeba daily. On our farm we grow tea tree, limes, various vegetable crops and cattle. Work mainly includes, fruit picking (photo), packing (photo), mulching, weeding, gardening, propagating, livestock, fencing & irrigation repairs. . Fishing and boating days when we can get away. Visits to the Daintree and Reef (see photo) Our farm also offers plenty of space to relax exercise, walk, swim or fish in our very own large dam. ONLY Optus & Vodaphone reception so be prepared for limited connections and communication disruptions. Sorry NO Wi-Fi. We also have cows, calves (see photo), horses and dogs. Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

We are in Dégagnac, between Cahors (capital town of the Lot) and Sarlat in the Dordogne and have 5 gîtes (small houses for rent) and we do chambre d`hôtes (B&B) and table d`hôtes (dinner); we have a swimming pool and a tennis court, a vegetable garden, garden with fruit trees, a walnut grove, meadows and forest, all of which have to be maintained. Depending on the season, we are looking for helpers with one or more of the following skills: 1. gardening (pruning, digging, tidying up etc.) as well as wood clearing and logging; 2. affinity with cooking and making domain products (e.g. confitures, chutneys) from the fruit and walnuts we have; 3. preparing the gîtes for new guests; 4. Do-It-Yourself (painting, decorating, carpentry, etc.). We currently have availablity from around 29 September to around 8 October for a period of a week, and maybe a bit more. NOTE: We usually take one person for a week at a time, can do less if required. House, conveniently located near Adelaide city (South Australia ) and Glenelg beach. Next to public transport (about 30 minutes via bus to the city). Close by there is a 24-hour convenience supermarket, gas station, shopping mall, discount supermarket and large 24-hour pharmacy/ chemist warehouse. Tasks that are available to be done may include: general light gardening, removing weeds, cleaning gutters, basic paving, cleaning, washing of car, vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, filing paperwork. After growing up in the Sahara desert and living many years a nomadic life, his family settled down in a village called Tagounite. Now Said lives next to the small village Beni Hayoun, 4 kilometers outside Tagounite. Here, we are working on recovering 200-year old adobe house. Behind the house there is a large garden which needs a lot of care and work. Our aim is to make the land green again, bring the oasis life back and to grow enough food for us and for the community.
