We are Sheryl, Warren and Harry (18 years). Sheryl and Warren run their own business. Harry is in his final year at school. Our pets are Chooey (Burmese cat), Lucy (Labrador), and Cheddar (Golden Retriever). We are a fun, close family. We enjoy board games, hiking and spending time with our fur friends. We have been involved with Helpx since 2014 at our first property in east warburton and again following our move to yarra junction. We have also hosted two international students on year long placements in recent years. We have had so many lovely experiences with our helpx friends. The local area boasts - swimming holes, mountains, hiking tracks and world class wineries/restaurants. All within a warm and welcoming community. We have a bus stop literally out the front of our house that connects to the outer and inner suburbs of Melbourne so you really wont need to worry about your own transport. Sheryl is about to have ankle surgery and will be out of action for 6 weeks, from August...

- Space available from approximately 29th August onwards. **Please note that we ask that all enquiries include a proposed arrival and departure date, we also usually arrange a quick video call to confirm volunteers have sufficient English to communicate with other staff and customers** We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here. Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves helping with general maintenance, cleaning and organising or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly washing dishes and helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc. The nature and duration of the work v...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. One spare bedroom with comfortable double bed in house in St Peters. Walk to Sydney Park and funky old King Street. Convenient to trains, buses and airport. Household is currently myself and friends staying over from time to time, & it is a lesbian & gay friendly household. I am happy to host a single or couple who can do general indoor housework like cleaning and tidying, and gardening and landscaping outdoors. At present that is re-potting plants, weeding, restoring vegetable garden, as well as some simple construction & repair work eg. maintenance on the wooden veranda. Regarding meals, I will supply food but you need to be able to cook for yourself as I am not a cook. I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting many HelpXers at various times over the last several years, with Helpers generally staying ~10 days to 3 weeks. I am easy-going & flexible (so its good if you are too) .

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. Thank you if you are still reading. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is necessary. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things ...

** CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELP** Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! Our home out of site of other houses, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property for 18 months, so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building bird rearing pens, raising chickens and sheep, and further developing our produce and ornamental gardens. Inside we are wallpaper stripping...

I live in the Black country close to Birmingham, an area full of industrial heritage and canals, the heart of glassmaking in the UK, the countryside is close, there are some great walks nearby and the centre of Birmingham is a 15 min train ride away. I can offer help with English, and offer a welcome to LGBTQ+ people. I would like some assistance with decorating a room. I could also use a little help in the house and garden as I find it difficult to lift things. *I am sensitive to airborne chemicals, so please do not apply if you need to wear synthetic perfumes or body sprays on a daily basis

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid August, in the middle of our best fishing season, wind permitting. Its also during what is normally our best weather. At least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not r...

LOOKING F OR A COUPLE FOR APPROX 1 WEEK IN AUGUST. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on oc...

We are set on 11 acres of beautiful land with wonderful views over the waters of the Manukau Harbour and with direct access to an expansive beach reserve. These include occasional house concerts, seasonal celebrations and co creative musical sessions where we can experience our spiritual interconnectedness with Nature and one another. Help is needed in the house and on the land with tasks that include maintaining gardens and fruit trees, cutting grass, clearing weeds, making compost and cutting wood. Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from beginning of september. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house constructi...

The days are starting to get longer. Looking forward to spring. We have availability end of august. We are a small family: 2 teenagers, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 cows, sheep, ducks, geese and chickens. We live in Hira on a rural lifestyle of 4 hectors. We raise chicks and ducks for meat and eggs. We also graze sheep and cows. We pretty much grow all our own fruit and veg for seasonal eating and winter storage. Our heating is via managed woodland and solar and our water is via rain water and the River Teal. We have two properties and a pool to manage. So there is always something to do! This is the time of year when winter is on its way out so there is lots to do in the garden. There have also been some crazy storms & rainfall so there is woodland to be tidied and firewood to be managed. Other projects include: Sorting compost, Processing firewood from trees all felled ready for sorting, chipping, splitting and stacking, fencing & woodland maintenance, sowing, planting, general gardening ...

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING HELPERS IN 2026 (possibly 2027 also) My home is a log cabin in the woods on an island in the middle of Norway's largest lake. It is very quiet here so this is not the place for people looking for lots of fun. But if you are looking to escape the city, and you respect nature and enjoy the quiet around you, this is the place for you. We are 45 minutes from all the larger cities around the lake, including Lillehammer which was the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics. 1.5 hours from the airport Gardemoen and 2 hours from Oslo. At the moment I have several carpentry jobs I need help with. So hope there is someone with carpentry skills who could think to stay with us. I do not need anyone else at the moment except those with carpentry skills. I am a biological Mom to 3 grown up kids who all live in Oslo now. I am also a foster mom for a 12 year old. I work in a Norwegian preschool but am currently not at work. We share our home with 4 cats and 3 dogs. I have done...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

UPDATE Just need one more volunteer to achieve my 100! Next vacancy end of September. Help me get to 100! Not 100 years old, but the 100th person to come here as a Helpx! I started this adventure 10 years ago and it's been wonderful. I'm hoping I already have number 100 lined up, so I just need to confirm 3 more helpers between now and Octoqaber. Would you like to be part of this and maybe even warrant a mention in my book! I'm also hoping to do a bit of travelling this year, so in addition to the usual stays, reliable house sitters would also be very welcome. (if I'm away there's room for 2). Horse and / or garden help welcomed. In the garden it's a matter of clearing, tidying and a bit of pruning. I've had a series of really excellent helpers, so if you think you're in that category, especially in terms of horse skills, then please get in touch. If you'd appreciate some rural time, away from the rat race, maybe this could be for you! However, you are also welcome to join in...

* Before you start reading, please note: We do not take on smokers! Thank you very much for your understanding! * Hello, I am running a large farm (about 97 acres) near to Izmir. I am the 3rd generation of the family, so the farm is older than 50 years and it is10 km away from Urla center. We have 500 tangeren trees, 2000 olive trees (Unfortunately, 1000 of our olive trees burned in the summer of 2023. Now we are dealing with regenerating the effects of the wild fire) and about 50 acres to grow vegetables, artichoke, grape, blackberry, strawberry and some aromatic plants like oregano, mint, lemon grass, lavender, sage... We have our own vegetable garden and eat as much as possible from own ground. It is a modern farm, technically well equipped and automatically irrigated. We sometimes have daily workers to help us but we also need some extra support. Since my parents are ritered, they are traveling often. We speak English. We live in the house which is in the farm. We have 5 cats,12...

We are a busy family with a two acres of gardens in a country setting, just 10 minutes outside Tauranga. We have a menagerie of animals plus vegetable gardens and a small fruit salad orchard. At times we raise our own (friendly) lambs and pigs and do some home processing into hams, bacon etc. We have a clean and very comfortable 60m2 accommodation separate from the main house with 2 bedrooms (one double and two single beds), a bathroom/shower, a large living area, a nice little kitchen, and wifi. You will have this accommodation building to yourself. We like 2 people at a time, and for a week or two, depending on work available. There is always plenty to do with a wide variety of tasks both outside and inside. This includes: - gardening, pruning trees and shrubs, weeding, lawn mowing, wood splitting/stacking and other section maintenance (to suit your level of experience). - some inside housework/cleaning on rainy days - Painting plus other house maintenance and landscape work (i...

We are a multi generation family and we live in a large family home on a beautiful outer suburban property by a creek. On our doorstep are beautiful wildflower walk trails (and kangaroos!:) in Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park. Kanyana Wildlife sanctuary is nearby. We have a large garden that needs lots of work. I have an art studio where I conduct art classes for children.

At the heart of the light filled house is a meditation room filled with musical instruments and opening onto an expansive lawn which is the setting for outdoor living and communal gatherings. I welcome people who love Nature and who can work with focus and commitment. In exchange for 24 hours work a week I offer a comfortable room , delicious and wholesome vegetarian meals, access to beaches and bush walks and the possibility that new doors will open for you.

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...
