🏔️ Help Wanted: Alpine Farm Restoration & Lambing Season! Location: Lower Austria (Rax Mountain/Schneeberg area) Vibe: International, hard-working, family-oriented, and authentic. For us, the exchange is a two-way street. We want to learn from our guests as much as they learn from us, creating memories through shared meals and conversations. We are a pretty colourful bunch of nice people composed of an austrian and a middle east family and long standing international friends. Actually living here permanently: Feri (1982), Lise (1975) and the children Layla (2013) and Aisha (2015) and other family members are coming regularly to see us to enjoy the time together and preparing a mix of delicious oriental-european-food! Same as a lot of different visitors (friends, helpers, family) from all over the world are enjoying this place of meeting and exchange. The Mission: We are living the dream on a 150-year-old estate in a stunning water protection area, but to be honest—last year was a...

This is a small regenerative herb farm located in the beautiful Huon Valley at Allen’s Rivulet, about 35 minutes south of Hobart. The time is minimum two week stay in exchange for a Regenerative Farming Certificate from our College Living Earth College www.livingearthcollege.org We are often looking for a calm, responsible and self organised person or couple to help care for the farm. This involves around 3 hours per day of steady daily care of the animals and gardens. Tasks include: Regenerative Farming feeding and checking ducks and chickens, watering plants and garden beds when needed, weeding and tending the herb garden, keeping a general eye on the place. The herb garden is an important part of the farm, so we are looking for someone who is organised, observant and able to self manage at times. This ideally suits people who enjoy quiet places, caring for land, and having a simple daily rhythm. In exchange you will stay in our cosy cob house on the farm or in our spar...

My name is Bruce, and I’m looking for a reliable, friendly person to assist me with everyday life while also forming a meaningful connection. Salut toi !

I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

Hei, here is Monica and Mario During the pandemic our life changed radically and we are now living in the beautiful island of Skrova, most known as Lofoten's Little Hawaii!! Monica is from Portugal, 35 years old and Mario from USA (half Norwegian/Sicilian....) 34 years old. The atmosphere on the island is very relaxed and friendly! It's a small island and since we are the only cafe/restaurant, give us the oportunity to have a very strong conection with the local comunity. Volunteers that stay with us have the oportunity to meet and get close to locals and local life. We we like to go for walks, kayaking, paddle boarding, spend time in nature, eat some nice food (Mario is a great cook) and have some chats with a glass of red wine (preference under the shy Norwegian Sun ;) oh and we loooove to use the sauna!!! ;) We have various projects going on: - A little guesthouse with 15 rooms - a local cafe/restaurant, set in a beautiful 200 years old building - Our house: small tasks around ...

Hi! We're Natalie and Vesteinn, a small family running a rainbow trout hatchery and eider down farm in Bjarnarfjörður, one of Iceland's most remote and stunning fjords in the Westfjords. The closest town is Hólmavík, 35km away. If you're looking for a real off-the-grid experience surrounded by nature, you've found it. Who we're looking for The ideal volunteer here is someone who is adaptable, flexible and genuinely excited to try new things because life on the farm rarely goes exactly to plan and that's part of the charm! If you're the kind of person who rolls with the unexpected and finds joy in variety, then this is the right place for you. What to expect No two days are the same. Tasks range from fish work to tidying up around the farm, helping around the house or whatever the day throws at us. We keep things flexible and we'll always make sure there's plenty of downtime for you to explore the area and recharge. Come with an open mind and ready hands and you'll fit right in! The ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy to show you basis if you are interested. If you want to discover...

Join a heartfelt conservation project on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. Help protect sea turtles through night patrols and hatchling releases, monitor birds as bioindicators of ecosystem health, and care for the land through permaculture, compost and natural fertilizers. Take part in coastal monitoring, beach clean-ups and plastic awareness while learning, connecting with nature and creating real impact. The activities are based on the four pillars of the project: Sea Turtle Conservation: The sea turtle season begins in July and ends in December. From January to June, the frequency of turtles on the beach is reduced to one or two per month, so only one daytime patrol is conducted three times a week to relocate eggs on the beach if a turtle hatches. During these months, activities such as informational signage and beach sectoring are carried out. From July to December, night patrols begin. From September to December, the hatching of baby turtles begins, along with nest exhumation activitie...

WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY HELPERS AT THE MOMENT! Our olive hill farm is in Provence, 95 acres of Mediterranean olive groves and woodland. We also have a self-catering holiday Gite (an apartment) and we are only 24km from Mediterranean beaches on the Cote d Azur. In fact, you can see the sea in the distance from the olive groves and from the little cabanon near the house which is where helpers stay! The farmhouse is at the top of a secluded valley backed by a dramatic circle of cliffs in the form of a horseshoe which protects it from the Mistral winds, and we are only 2km from the village which you can see down in the valley. The views are amazing... And behind the house there are 3,000 ha of national forestry with walks in an unspoiled and protected natural environment full of wildlife: wild boar, roe deer, foxes, martens, buzzards, hawks and several eagles among all the other lesser species. OLIVE HARVEST (mid Oct - mid Dec) is the most important time of year for us. It is the result...

Hi, my name is Auduh. Me and my family are Bedouins who live in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. We have been working with tourists for years. We offer overnight stays in our traditional camp or cave and we take our guests on 4x4 Jeep tours, camel rides and hiking/climbing tours.. We have learned to speak English through working with the tourists from a young age. We love our simple life in the desert, work hard during the day and relax around the campfire at night. We offer you a free stay in my home in Wadi Rum village. You will really experience the traditional way of living in and around the desert. We will teach you traditional dance, some arabic words and show you around in the desert. You will meet the locals people, and learn about our culture, customs, and traditions. I also enjoy learning different languages and would be happy to help in teaching volunteers Arabic and other aspects of Bedouin life.

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hello! I have always used Trusted House for my home in Italy. Many of my sitters told me about HelpX. I no longer have my home in Italy.. I moved back to the states in 2023 and after serious renovations 2024-2025 I am trying to figure out what to do with all the furniture and taking care of interior design as well as the yard. I am in desperate need of help! I wish I had the money to pay people but the renovation has me tapped out. I ask that you read the entire profile so we're already on the same page when we speak on WHATSAPP. Below is a list of the numerous projects I need help with. I am doing what I can alone but many of them are easier done with two people. Feel free to apply to one or even two! You can stay for a week or longer. Specify the project you would like to help me with. I have no preference as to when things get done.. just want to get them done!!! Much of it is whether permitting since there are outdoor projects as well as indoor ones. I am a fligh...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

Hi there 😊 I’m Sherree, and my dog Ziggy and I live in our beautiful home in South Fremantle, Western Australia. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain! Ruud

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

Hello, i would be happy for help. There is a lot to do on this place, mostly in the garden. Technical help, e.g. installation of solar panel, building a greenhouse, renovation of an old cattle house would also be needed. A carpenter and a bricklayer would be also great. We are vegetarian ! :-) We are a couple in our best age, and are here since 5 years. We want to build a small place for meditation and Qi Gong here. We want this to become a place for living and coming together. We would be happy to meet you.

Hello, I am looking for some help with gardening and house maintenance, preferably someone with a bit of gardening know-how to help control (in a wild way) a medium size garden Also help with dog walking and possibly pet sitting for short periods. Bit of strimming and mowing, and some weeding. Renovation of window frames and painting when weather allows. Trying to grow veg as much as possible, but not easy up here.(lots of rabbits and deer) Indoors --- well could do with a bit of organizing! Also some help with the bigger cleaning jobs, like the vast windows! I am living in the middle of Dartmoor National Park which is a great place for walking and scenery, and one of the last remaining wilderness areas in England. Person with organisational skills and sense of humour and who loves the great outdoors and the quiet would be ideal. One lovely dog and cat in the house, and the occasional guest. Please note, due to financial constraints I cannot accommodate long term helpers

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

This is a mountain hut immersed in Italy's largest protected park, at 1300 meters, in a forest on Mount Pollino. Managed by an official guide of the park, we organize excursions, canyoning, hiking, climbing and horseback riding throughout the park. The refuge consists of five rooms (with bathrooms) for a total of twenty beds. Kitchen and dining room in common. Helpers sleep in a room that they share together. In spring, summer and autumn volunteers are welcome to take good care of the refuge. Cooking, fixing the roof, gathering mushroom, cutting wood or making guests practice their english :) In winter... write me if you like snow!

Ruud

We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most.

We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Looking for a person to keep company with an elderly lady. The person would be required to do some light housework and maintenance and maybe a little bit of cooking and gardening. In your free time, our island has a lot to offer: beautiful scenic walks, 2 beautiful sandy beaches and a lively atmosphere in our Community Club. There are many events and festivals on the island throughout the summer. Our island webpage is www.inishturkisland.com

Hello everyone!!! Namaste! This is an organic farm & retreat center located in the Himalayan foothills. We offer unique spiritual pilgrimages, organic food (as much as possible except when there are instances that we cannot produce our own), agricultural farming classes, tantra yoga, sound healing, Chandi mantra chanting & meditation courses. - I am Shree Krishna Shrestha, the owner of this lovely farm and I live here with my 57 year old wife, Sarita Shrestha and our 22 year old daughter who has recently returned back home from studying abroad. I also have two sons who live with their families about 30 minutes far in the town below our village. I have been doing silent meditation for about 5-6 years now and plan to do 4 more years during which I choose not to speak, communicate through text messages or signs, eat a vegetarian diet with no salt mainly consisting of our own cow milk, yogurt, roti/chapati and boiled potatoes. My family started this farm in 1991 with the dream of being o...
