Hi travellers, I'm looking for help for a few days up to a week at my home by the ocean. There are always maintenance jobs for this old house, maybe some gardening, painting maybe, cleaning gutters, nothing very difficult! Meanwhile, if you need accommodation in Adelaide, my house is about 25 minutes south of the city and two minutes from the train station to get you in and out of town. It's really close to the ocean on top of a cliff and about 10 minute walk along the cliffs to get down to the most stunning beach. Another 5 min walk from there to the pub overlooking the beach. The house is amazingly different from other houses, looking like an old Queenslander with huge amount of character, recycled windows and doors, leadlights, balcony and gargoyles on the roof !!. My house is two story at the front, so your room is downstairs, slightly separate from the main living, giving you some privacy with a lovely garden to look out to. Less than 5 minutes walk to the end of my street at th...

Our names are Rick and Cath, a retired couple living in coastal Hawkes Bay in a little area known as Waimarama, near Havelock North. . We'd like to offer free accomodations in return for a couple hours help around the garden a day. Which will leave you plenty of time to explore round and enjoy many wonderful places around the Hawkes Bay area. The accomodation is a self contained cabin with cooking facilities and bathroom, just 300 meters from beach, north of Waimarama. Has a double bed (able to convert to two singles), bunks and sofa bed. Waimarama village is 4km away by road, or you can walk down the beach to the village. Havelock North and Hastings 30 and 35 minutes away. Napier is 40 mins away. We are coastal rural, off the grid on solar and tank water, with Internet available . We'd love help with general weeding in garden, weed eating, and if you're up for it a newly developing native tree area where help with planting seedlings and general care would be appreciated.

Hi! I'm Tonje and I moved to my farm in 2020. And there's always a lot to do here. This small farm is in a very small town, by the fjord in Hardanger. Its a good place for hiking and culture. The area is quiet and scenic. The closest cities are Odda and Bergen. The bosses of the house are 4 dogs and 3 cats. Right now I don't have any farm animals of my own. But the neighbor's sheep live here too. I would have been very grateful for various help on my small farm. The work can be very varied. But I need help with maintenance of the outdoor area, wood working, chopping firewood and snow shoveling. I also have an airbnb, so cleaning, organize and tidying jobs are also tasks that I may need help with. Help are appreciated a lot. For your help, I can offer beautiful scenery, food and a private bedroom.

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station. I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer I have lived here all my life and can introduce you...

We are Greg and Claire, parents of a 15-month-old baby girl and a very active 10-year-old son. We are non-owner stewards of land that has a long history as a communal farm, held by the Renaissance Charitable Trust since 1977. Our work here is currently focused on forming intentional community, improving accommodation, and restoring the farm that has been let go for many years. All the labour and love that is given to this farm goes towards paying forward the gifts, knowledge, and generosity received from those who came before us and hopefully helping the intentional community become a lively thriving and truly special place. The Community Vision: We are here to create a cooperative way of life that interweaves people with land and one another. By regenerating a small, diverse, and long-neglected farm and by transforming our relationships with ourselves, others, and the land. We aspire to create deeply fulfilling lives for ourselves and a thriving, resilient community that can inspire ...

Our home is in Shailer Park, a Southern suburb of Brisbane between the inner city and the Gold Coast. I have previous experience as a host with HelpX when I lived near Sydney in NSW. It's a quiet safe area and I need help with a gardening project, digging & levelling out soil, arranging some heavy bricks/stones and general tidying up the garden, repotting pot plants ect., plus some small handyman jobs. Most likely a 2 week job. I am a retired female. I have my own ensuite separate to the main bathroom which you will share with one other housemate plus there is an extra toilet downstairs. Help is required 4 to 5hrs per day, Monday to Friday with weekends to yourself and my swimming pool is there for all to enjoy as much as the other communal areas inside. We have the Daisy Hill Koala Centre & Conservation Park in the suburb next door, plus many walking & bicycle trails. A bus trip going North to Brisbane City Centre is about one hour & only 50 cents, and 2.15 hrs by bus, South to...

LOOKING FOR HELPER/S FOR 1 WEEK IN AUGUST. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions....

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

Hello, We are looking for some precious help with the land and various jobs around the house. We’re seeking people to assist with gardening, tidying, cleaning, and helping Glen with DIY projects. Last year, when we moved onto this new piece of land, we had a fantastic experience with HelpX. The help made such a difference, and we truly enjoyed the interactions and friendships that grew from it. We see HelpX as a mutually beneficial exchange and are excited to welcome people to stay with us again. Accommodation: You’ll have your own room with a queen bed and access to a shared bathroom in a small sleepout. Cooking is done in the sleepout kitchen. Some meals will be shared together—giving us a chance to chat, reflect on the world, and enjoy good conversation. We’re interested in sustainability, community living, gardening, and how to make the world a better place, one small action at a time. The views are beautiful, and we’re very close to the surf beaches. Glen is from South Afric...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. 👉🏼 For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. 👉🏼 My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Mumbai city is the only city in the world where the Country lives in a city i.e you will find everyone from the different parts of India living in the city of Mumbai. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic HelpX helper to lend a hand around our busy farm. The main jobs include helping in the garden with planting new trees, weeding, and general garden maintenance, along with some light house cleaning. My husband and I are both in our 30s and live on our cattle and free-range egg farm near Feilding in rural New Zealand. We have a busy household with our 1.5-year-old son, two cats, and our dog. We love cooking wholesome farm meals using local produce and love sharing our rural life and authentic Kiwi farm experience with others. Accommodation is in our homestead in a comfortable spare bedroom with a king bed. We’d love to welcome someone who enjoys the outdoors, doesn’t mind a busy family home, and is keen to experience authentic Kiwi farm life.

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Summer openings for some of August Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SUMMER with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos...

Hi! We are well travelled family of three. Huyen & Michael are self -employed and working from home. We have a small Queenslander about 5km from the Brisbane City Centre. It is a very green and peaceful cul-de-sac. We love living here. However, the house & garden need constant maintenance, and we are struggling to keep on top of it. We have a space downstairs that is self-contained so we occasional host helpx. Our previous helpx loved the space. We are selective of who we invite to our home. You need to be willing to provide preferences & IDs. Carpenters, landscapers, handy persons are very welcomed to apply. We ask for about 3 hours of work a day in exchange for accommodation only or 4 hours with food. We can be flexible on when the work is done according to your needs. Look forward to hearing from you.

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

Would be great if you have been around equines At this time I can give you a food allowance for you to make your own meals . ..This has worked very well as it allows you to choose when to eat or where...maybe take a picnic or have a late dinner if busy exploring. If you have a good heart and comfortable around farm animals this is the place for you...A comfy bed with your own bathroom.. Help ( four hours each day ) needed with, gardening, house work. animal care, cleaning animal shelters and general farm work so gumboots are needed.
