Our organic mountain farm (800 m above sea level) 50 km south of Grenoble is located in the Vercors Regional Park in the Alps. Our main activity is horse breeding on 150 ha and 300 ha of mountain pastures. The Trieves plateau is sought after for its wide open spaces and unspoiled tranquility. We raise Mérens (a hardy mountain breed: Mérens ), ponies, and a few donkeys. In the summer, we visit our two mountain pastures located between 1,300 m and 2,200 m above sea level, both for the pleasure of hiking and to keep an eye on the main herd of horses, in addition to haying, harvesting, and caring for the animals that remain on the farm. We have set up a wolf protection system for our forty awes abnd lambs. . We have three protective dogs (Patous) that are cuddly and not aggressive. The lambs births begin in January. With 110 horses to feed, cuddle, and break in for outdoor riding, riders are welcome to participate in our activities at their own pace and manage their own “work” time. ...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004,it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

My 2 bedroomed bungalow is located in the heart of a world famous community in the Highlands of Scotland and I offer bed and breakfast to guests visiting. The community is an eco-village as well as a meditation centre. Walking around you will see ecological architecture (including the famous whisky barrel houses and Nature Sanctuary), pottery and weaving studio. You will also see state of the art eco-housing and co housing. To get more of an idea of the community you could check out our website link below. The organic cafe is just round the corner from my bungalow where you will meet an interesting mix of international personalities. The shop on site provides everything you might need for food, organic fruit and vegetables, books and music. I am 15 minutes walk to the beautiful beach and sand dunes. People travel from miles around to visit this beautiful part of Scotland. It really is a jewel which has the most amazing sunsets over the sea. The nearby fishing village has a great or...

Kia Ora travellers! I live with my dog, Nala, in a beautiful big and warm house on a 27 acre life style block with native bush and a little creek. I have an organic vegetable garden and orchard growing fresh vegetables, hazelnuts, walnuts and chestnuts. You can also enjoy great views of the Banks Peninsula from here, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s only 1 hour away from Christchurch city and 30 mins from Akaroa, a lovely seaside town with a rich French heritage. I used to be a Tour Guide for overseas tourists, so I know every nook and cranny of the Great Aotearoa. I would be happy to share with you our culture, history and many stories. I also used to host overseas backpackers when living in Christchurch and I always enjoy having company and learning about cultural differences. There is plenty to do to keep busy and be creative - planting trees, pruning, cleaning up bonfires, getting stuck into the big garden. Work hours are flexible and will be max 4 hours (mos...

Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop.

Otherwise, we currently welcome handy and strong persons to help us with restoration, building, carpentry and more. There could also be scraping, sanding and painting. I offer two different types of stay in south-western Norway, neither of which is a farm. Most things happen, a woodland-cum-holiday centre, which is not permanently lived in. My main need is April-May-first half of June, 1-13 August and 28 August -15 September 2025 - the latter two are bee-intensive for me at least. I have occasional very limited availability in summer. I shut down November-March. Unless you are locally based the minimum stay is one week, and up to 1 month, which can be extended if we get on. The area comprises 90 hectares of woodland, a lake, and lots of rock. The location is fairly remote, without through traffic: the nearest public transport is the bus stop in Helleland - an hours walk away and 15 minutes by car - yes, I will pick up and drop off. There are no domestic animals other than bees (if you are interested in them the best times to come are May/June and September). The work here involves work in the wood, maintenance and improvements on the buildings,...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

We are a certified organic farm operating since 2004 and producing mostly a wide diversity of seed crops as well as Spring and Fall vegetable starts, soft fruit plants, and many native plants. We now have 260 +different seed varieties, including kale, tomatoes and many new potato varieties that we have bred and selected here - very exciting. We have even created 2 new apple varieties and a berry! Our preference is for helpers who will stay a minimum of 2-4 weeks and ideally longer, as it takes a lot of our time to train someone to work well with these seed crops in the greenhouses and gardens. The farm has a nicer feel when folks stay for longer and we all get to know each other and have the time to enjoy working as a team. If you are a helper who has some farming experience, or who is passionate about working with plants, and you will apply the learning that you do here in your own future farming we'd especially love to hear from you! There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

Kia Ora travellers! I live with my dog, Nala, in a beautiful big and warm house on a 27 acre life style block with native bush and a little creek. I have an organic vegetable garden and orchard growing fresh vegetables, hazelnuts, walnuts and chestnuts. I also used to host overseas backpackers when living in Christchurch and I always enjoy having company and learning about cultural differences. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location!

We are located approximately 6 miles from Perth, 12 miles from Dundee, Scotland on a rural property which is home to native wildlife.
