ENGLISH VERSION Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (35years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (27years old) who joined me two years ago and many people who join us throughout the year. Actually we are approximatly 7 to 10 people living here . it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, isolation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This māla produces tropical fruits, heirloom vegetables, and fresh eggs, all cultivated with care, presence, and respect for indigenous land stewardship practices. Helpers are invited to participate in planting, tending, harvesting, and preparing meals together, gaining hands-on knowledge of self-sufficiency, food sovereignty, and sustainable living. This is not a tourist experience, but a cultural exchange centered on healing through food, community, and Mālama i ke ʻĀina—caring for the land so it may care for us in return.

Our farm is located in the foothill of the Catskill mountain, about 2.5 hours north of NYC. There are many hiking trails, lakes and waterfalls around. We grow many varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers using natural farming method. We need help in mulching, weeding, transplanting, watering, harvesting, food preservation, trail maintenance and light construction. We practice meditation and yoga, follow a vegetarian diet. No onion, garlic, mushroom, alcohol or tobacco are allowed in the premises. We prefer helpers who have an interest in meditation and yoga; who like being early-risers; who are physically fit, not afraid of hard work; and who have an inner enjoyment of nature, solitude and silence.

Nous sommes Pierre-yves et Paul, deux hommes gay. Nous habitons dans le sud ouest de la France, dans le très joli département de la Dordogne. Nous sommes horticulteurs. Nous vivons avec nos deux chats dans notre vieille ferme construite il y a plus de 200 ans. C'est un endroit paisible de la campagne française, à proximité d'un tout petit village. Les commerces et les villes ne sont pas très loin. Notre village s'appel Verteillac, il est situé à proximité de Ribérac. Notre vie tourne principalement autour des travaux en extérieur et par tous les temps. Nous exploitons une pépinière à domicile, ce qui nous laisse peu de temps libre pour entretenir la maison et le jardin. Nos projets incluent donc le jardinage, le désherbage, le défrichage autour de la maison et parfois la maintenance des bâtiments. Les travaux peuvent varier selon la saison.
