Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having your own car...

Fluent English Speaker Wanted: Summer Cooking, Horses & Language Exchange in the Vosges Hello travelers! My name is Ghislaine (Gige), and for over 22 years, I have managed a peaceful Bed & Breakfast in the charming village of Saint Paul (Vosges). We are an open-minded family living on an original homestead, and we are looking for an enthusiastic helper to join us starting June 2026. The Mission: Speak with me in English! My main goal this year is to improve my English. I am looking for a traveler who is a fluent English speaker to help me practice. In fact, if you only speak a little French, that is perfect—it will force me to learn! Because 70% of our guests are Dutch and speak English, you will be a vital part of our dynamic summer season. Your Role (Approx. 3 hours/day): We are looking for someone polyvalent, but your main tasks will include: 1. The Kitchen: Helping with breakfast for up to 12 guests and preparing meals. 2. The Animals: Organising a visit for our guests. 3. Conver...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

****UPDATE**** Looking for a second pair of hands from now onwards but particularly from late May onwards - single person or couple, but also feel free to get in touch if you have any availability later on in the future. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is necessary. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. In the past we have many who regretted not being able to stay longer. This is the beating heart of the Scottish West Highlands. Katie and I own a small crofting home in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a mes...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bike,(s), pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. ...

Our family runs a western riding facility with 30 stalls, where we provide horse boarding and training, including reining and cow work. We also have a western saloon, where we host weddings, special events, and are open for our club members on weekends. In return for cleaning out stalls and feeding horses (and the odd other job), we offer room and board, sorry we cannot host vegetarians; we include you in family activities and you have the possibility to improve your riding skills in western riding (cow work and reining) in our 30 x 60 m arena and - how about -learning some line dancing!! A bicycle is available, if you want to explore the near surroundings. We are located close to Switzerland, it`s about a 15 minutes car ride to Basle, and also only about 20 minutes to Germany. Our area is a great tourist region. If you are mature, fit and self-motivated, willing to stay for a minimum of 2 weeks, experienced with handling horses, we would be happy to hear from you!

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We have a property located within walking distance of perth centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, and painting. Its near sent Mary cathedral st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. Sorry, we don’t really provide long term bookings for people who are working. We do know of opportunities for those looking for this and are happy to assist.

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of May. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

I am requiring the help of anyone keen on the outdoors as work may include driving a tractor, cutting wood, working with stock (cattle and sheep), building, house and garden work, cooking and planting some new trees. I do not expect every person to be able to do all jobs but a help to do any job would be greatly appreciated. Must be able to drive a manual. Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during springtime ( 2026 ) for a 2 week period but that can be further negotiated. Work will be starting in April and continue through the summer and fall. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All of this work we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. In the summer time when weather permits, you have a deluxe caravan for your home. You ...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. From the agricultural antiques you may be cleaning and organizing, to working in the gardens. W...

This farm from around 1864 in Hardanger has not been run for about 30 years, and has been brought back to life by us and a bunch of volunteers .Tessa grew up in Oslo and moved here 2017, and Ander came in 2019 and is from Basque country. Ander and Tessa take care of of their newly planted apple plantation, and make apple juice and cider. We got some chickens and Ander keeps bees, and we make firewood for the house. The farm overlooks the glacier Folgefonna across the fjord. Tessa and Ander often work late. Sometimes we are social and sometimes we all need time on our own. It is therefore great if the volunteers can be self sufficient in their free time and manage to transport themselves around. Our car only has 2 seats, and is in use daily. So the bus is your option, and it is limited. So we are a bit isolated here. We like people that have some working skills, that they are practical and get things done in an effective way. We are looking for a couple or two friends that do not care ...

Set in a hidden valley of Woonona, this 1 acre oasis is on a journey from forgotten, overgrown grassland to Permaculture wonderland! We have been practicing aspects of sustainability for over 15 years including Permaculture gardening, sustainable building and creating community. Sarah has a deep level of knowledge about market gardening, soil building and organic food & is a qualified Permaculture teacher. Ben is skilled at building with recycled, reclaimed and natural materials, tending fruit trees and teaching ecology & sustainability. The property is located about 5 minutes bike ride from lovely beaches and 5 minutes walk from local shops and access to buses into Wollongong. It`s also only 1.5hrs from Sydney by train. We spent 2010 WWOOFing around the planet with our two children, so we understand how to be good hosts. We love sharing lifestyle and experiences, so hopefully we can help you explore this wonderful part of the world. The current projects involve a range of gardeni...

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. Hello, We are a multi-generational family farm running sheep, cattle and cropping enterprises about 28km from Young. We have enjoyed the company of lots of Helpers over the past 12 years and many have kept in touch with us. The family includes Tony and Mary-Louise and their adult children Tim and Steph along with their young families. General: Helpers are welcome anytime to do gardening, mowing, repair works, cleaning, painting and the like. We like helpers to stay up to two weeks with the possibility to extend if it suits both parties. General farm work is available depending on your capacity and what is happening on the farm - mostly this will be with the with sheep or cattle and working dogs. Presently we are looking for an active couple who would like to assist Tim on the farm with management of Bathurst burrs, which means chipping them and piling them for burning. We are also completing house renovation works, like painting and some organising. Accommodation: There are 3 diffe...

We extend a warm invitation to join us on our friendly farm by the seaside. We have availability from July 1st to the end of the year — all beautiful times of year here, when everything is either waking up again or settling in for s slower pace and the island feels full of fresh energy or is lulling off to sleep. Please inquire for availability during any time of the year. Joining us is a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to take a look at hosting you and if you already have some farm experience we especially welcome you! ...

Volunteering at this Meditation Centre offers an opportunity to experience first-hand the Buddhist way of life within a vibrant, international community. This place is entirely run by volunteers, our organisation is a not-for-profit registered charity. We are located just south of the English Lake District, situated in 70 acres of woodland and gardens, on the shores of Morecambe Bay. There are many ways in which you can help. For example, serving in the cafe, working in the art studio, helping to prepare guest rooms, cooking, gardening or joining a renovation project and we are always interested to hear about any specific skills you may be able to offer. Take this opportunity to be part of a diverse international community of Buddhist practitioners and volunteers, make lasting connections, and enjoy a meaningful break. Typically you will volunteer Monday to Friday but depending on the activity, it may also include weekends. Whilst these activities are not always strenuous you will...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to take a look at hosting you and if you already have some farm experience we especially welcome you! ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us.
