My husband Matthias and I, Johanna, came from Germany as backpackers in the 1980s. We met here in NZ, but our home language is German. We are a family with eight children, three of them married, and five grandchildren. Three of our children are living at home (1 of them home-schooling, 2 working). Our oldest son with his wife and 4 young boys has moved back to our property two years ago, - now living in our cottage; another son with his wife and baby has moved into a smaller house on our property. And a friend lives in our housetruck. So life is happening to the full! Sadly, my husband passed away in January 2024 after a short time of intense illness. We miss him much! Our lifestyle block is home to a gaggle of geese, a flock of domestic ducks, around 40 chickens, some sheep and sometimes a few young male goats, - and of course many wild birds, rabbits and the tiny creatures of fields, woods and duck-pond. An old apple, apricot and peach orchard and a young walnut grove are also part...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We are a family living in Victoria, British Columbia, the capital of BC. We live in a beautiful neighbourhood of the city called Broadmead. This area is close to beaches, forest, mountains, trails, golf courses, and parks. It’s an excellent neighbourhood for people who love the outdoors. We are close to the airport and the ferry, and would be happy to collect you from either upon your arrival, and drop you off when you are departing. We have a great home to welcome helpers. We have a hot tub, three large decks, a big backyard, and a cinema room to watch movies on a huge screen. Our helper accommodation is our cinema room, and there is a queen size pullout bed, and a big screen to watch Netflix or anything from your own devices. We have a very sweet cat, but he is not allowed in our cinema room. We are pescatarians, so we eat seafood, but not other meat. There is a bus stop steps away from our front door that takes you directly to downtown. We joined help X because we are getting re...

Our family of six lives on a small farm near Christchurch and we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and fruit trees and are planting berries and vegetables. In the winter or during cold weather we cook on a wood range which heats our house and hot water. At the moment we have plenty of chickens to look after and are hoping to plant some autumn vegetables. Current projects are: Firewood for winter Sowing vegetables Mulching around fruit trees Pruning willow trees Making a chicken run Compost heaps Accommodation is a spacious cabin with a double bedroom, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. Would suit a couple or two friends travelling together who don’t mind sharing the queen bed. The cabin has a fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster in the kitchenette. The work is 4 hours help per day or 8 hours every second day for 5 days of the week. It is best if you have your own transport as we are not on any public transport route. I...

I have a charming, sunny, comfortable home with a lovely garden and a beautiful view over the harbour and mountains. It is very central, well connected to transport, with big parks and green belt very close. I usually only have one bed available, so mostly take 1 person at a time - only occasionally can I take 2 people. In return for two hours work in the house and garden per day, I will provide free accommodation and breakfast. I speak fluent Spanish and can help with someone learning English. I have a sociable lifestyle with many friends, and helpers are welcome to join in on some dinners. But I do need Helpxers who are independent too, since there will be times when I am very busy and not around much. If you're good at cleaning, gardening, painting and doing home maintenance and repairs around the house, that would be great. And I love good food, so good cooks are always welcome!

ABOUT THE FARM: We are a 10-acre farm with a large forest and creek. More of a homesteading operation rather than a commercial/for profit style farm, though we sell enough to maintain farm status. We have a new orchard, small vegetable beds, a milking cow and her calf, a sheep, pigs, bees, and chickens. We occasionally have other animals. Daily farm chores typically include: assisting with milking, feeding, cleaning/filling water, weeding, planting, harvesting, composting, fertilizing and watering gardens/trees, loving the animals, rotating cows or other livestock to new pastures. Less frequent farm chores include: fencing, building, doctoring sick animals, midwifing (assisting in birthing) and sometimes processing animals. A large part of our time goes into running an agro-tourism program on our farm, meaning that during the summer we allow people to camp and stay in a cabin on our farm and learn about farming (we find most people just want to feed a chicken and collect a couple of ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

MOST URGENT NEED: Someone who KNOWS land I am a chef and musician, that's been traveling pretty much non-stop since I started....After 15 years of traveling, living in many refugee projects, squats, intentional communities, collectives, cooking for many community kitchens, staying in many farms and seeing what it is possible in this world....I have seen many things I have loved and many things that didn't quite work in my opinion...now I have a unique opportunity to start a community based on learning, sharing and helping each other (especially those that may not normally have access to such a privileged life-style) grow and learn through workshops and communal happenings. Right now I am in the extreme beginnings. I am looking for land, acquiring tools, equipment, ideas, networking. There is a lot of work to be done... Until we move onto the land...we live in the middle of San Francisco and were born and raised here, so we know the area pretty well. This house is not in the best sha...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens only 40 minutes from Hobart, and operate for only 3 days a week. A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. Your Help can be in the restaurant, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out! I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences. Cheers, Mike.

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish; fruit/veg etc. Swim at the beach across the road, go fishing or take out the kayaks (experience and wearher dependent). Take the bike and pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri. Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into the vast iconic view and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, as we move into the dotage we need help with the massive task of #296, so we are keen to have people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. We also enjoy welcoming solo travellers from anywhere, any age, who may not have a car. Your help will help me realize a ten-year plan. 1. To create gardens...

This Spring we will have a separate small, clean, warm, comfortable space available. We move irrigation pipe to water the hay fields in the morning and evening. We have horses that are needing training/riding and have a large garden that needs tending. We are a busy family of 6, with 3 adult children and a 7 year old child. We live 25 minutes away from the town of Williams lake and there is someone in the family driving in and out daily. The Cariboo Chilcotin is a culturally rich area with 17 different Native Bands in the area. The main industry here is logging with two mines in the area as well. Ranching, and outdoor activities like dirtbiking sledding, quadding and mountain biking are very popular here. Our back yard is one of the favourite areas for down hill mountain biking. We're fairly easy going and like having the opportunity to make new friends and share the experiences our ranch offers.

**as of 16th Feb looking for a helper, immediate start for 2-3 week stay** Your time here counts towards the 88 days working visa requirements as we are in a declared natural disaster region. We are a family in rural Australia who have helpers (only 1 helper at any one time) stay with us from time to time. Our experience has been that shorter stays of 2-3 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen. We offer a luxurious, self contained cottage which is adjacent to our house but is also privately positioned. We have young children and enjoy meeting new people. We have a great swimming hole on the river (that we share with platypus and other creatures) and there are kayaks to use. Our wood fired sauna is a great way to end the day :) Our property is teeming with wildlife and 7 riverside hectares are set aside as a conservation area in conjunction with the NSW...

We live on the Whangaroa Harbour, half an hour north of Kerikeri. There`s no road to our property. We come and go by boat. We can pick you up from Kaeo or Kerikeri and bring you home, or if you're driving, we will meet you at Ota Point on the harbour. We have kayaks to explore the harbour or to fish from. The fishing is some of the best in New Zealand. Our home is at the water’s edge nestled above the mangroves. The work is mostly gardening and a little housework. Carpenters/builders/people handy with tools are especially needed but all are welcome. Guests are asked to work four hours one day and then three hours the next day and cook an evening meal (we provide ingredients). We relish dishes from elsewhere. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or serious dislikes. We have internet access available. A week to begin with is ideal. Longer stays often happen from there. We host because we enjoy making friends and the work becomes easier and more p...

We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Our family of six lives on a small farm near Christchurch and we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and fruit trees and are planting berries and vegetables. In the winter or during cold weather we cook on a wood range which heats our house and hot water.

It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for summer vineyard and winemaking work are available now, starting in January 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish; fruit/veg etc. Swim at the beach across the road, go fishing or take out the kayaks (experience and wearher dependent).
