For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders. Hello. My name is Manon, and I am 33 years old. I live with my husband and my 1-year-old son, in a French old house. We have already renovated a large part of the house over the past two years. Now we're getting back to it with renewed enthusiasm :) I'm studying interior design and learning about traditional methods that are both durable and eco-friendly, so we can feel as comfortable as possible in this building. Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure is more than welcome :) We usually put together groups of volunteers to create fun and dynamic teams :-)

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

UPDATE: NEW VACANCIES.... January 10th (2026) onwards Horse and / or garden help welcomed. In the garden it's a matter of clearing, tidying and a bit of pruning. I've had a series of really excellent helpers, so if you think you're in that category, especially in terms of horse skills, then please get in touch. If you'd appreciate some rural time, away from the rat race, maybe this could be for you! However, you are also welcome to join in my busy social life if you wish to. I am a retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I live in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in a tiny cottage, in the hamlet of Miningsby on the Revesby Estate. It's very rural and rather isolated. No shops within walking distance, but with pretty market towns just 10 minutes' drive away. Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham or Peterborough. Help needed with grassland management, horse care and gardening, ...

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a puppy and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accommodation, meals (please provide your own snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found his way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g. 1 or 2 weeks or months stay but ...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

We live on a beautiful hill surrounded by ancient oaks, a large olive grove, orchard, forest and fields. I practice natural agriculture, inspired by various schools and experimenting. I apply natural farming by drawing inspiration from various schools and experimenting. Rotating in the fields, I grow grain mixes of old varieties, spelt, chickpeas, green manure, melliferous and forage grasses. I sell my products to friends, acquaintances and buying groups. I use an old caterpillar tractor. I plant a vegetable garden for self-consumption and out of passion, learning something new every year. I am inspired by Permaculture concepts and a subsistence economy. My great passion is trees, both fruit and ornamental, which I have in different varieties and never tire of planting. I raise homegrown hens by selecting the most hatch-inspired mothers, who are generous in giving eggs and also meat. For this I give thanks. I live here with Laura (39 anni) and with Tao, age 13 who is here on and off ...

Hi, we are Swiss couple, Barbra and Roberto and we live in the south of the peloponnes on a large piece of land that has fig, olive and fruit trees. We also have horses and animals so we always welcome help. Mainly we need help in the winter with the olive harvest but in the summer we need people to help us with picking figs as well. There is plenty more to do such as taking care of the animals and building work (currently we are building walls, a cage for pheasants and getting our garden ready for vegetables) and just general help with the upkeep of our land. If you come to stay there is always plenty of space. We have a new stables that has two rooms and a bathroom which you could use or in the summer people often prefer to sleep outside on one of the balconies that overlook the mountains and the sea. We generally prefer people who are able to stay for more than just a couple of weeks. in the beginning of November we are always low on people and we are happy for anybody that can ...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

I am in the Madonie Park. It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. From the agricultural antiques you may be cleaning and organizing, to working in the gardens. W...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily.

I have a working beef, sheep & hobby farm located about 20mins drive from Invercargill. There are dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, sheep, donkey, deer & a variety of birds. I’m a mid 50's guy living with my partner in a large modern home with extensive gardens. I’m looking to host travelers who want an authentic New Zealand farm experience. You will assist me to keep the grounds tidy and other seasonal jobs to do involving the animals on the farm. Jobs may include; lawn mowing, tidying sheds, gardening, feeding animals. I offer quality accommodation (own room & ensuite) and meals. You don’t need to have previous farm experience but please be fit and eager to learn. If you can cook meals then even better! Happy to host single, two friends, couple of any age for up to a week. LGBTIQ+ travellers welcome. Approx 20 km to Invercargill, Riverton and Winton, (2 hours drive from Queenstown). It’s a rural address so your own transport would be an advantage. J'ai une exploitation laitière située...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. A quiet family property. We are two boys 14&16 years old and a 56year old dad. We have a pool for everyone. We have a large piece of land with accommodation for the helpers in a their cabin and shower n toilet 5meters away. We have WiFi and are 2minutes from the edge of town and close to the airport.. We have a BBQ available, your own microwave and fridge. We have a bike to use, it’s for HelpX helpers. In the last few years we have been off HelpX as NZ’s boarder were closed. We’ve added a new cabin closer to the house as the other two are being used by friends….…. Hi, 2025 we need a little bit of help with a couple of small jobs. So if you’re keen, our cottage has just been completed and we need the grounds around it to be worked on. Our jobs are easy really. Cheers in advance..
