Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

Hi I'm Jane i live with my 3 dogs in a large property in a rural country village in bulgaria. I am currently looking for some keen fit people to help me create a vegetable garden, Making raised beds small stones walls and natural fencing. I want it as beautiful and creative as possible so if you have an artistic flair all the better. It will be planted totally organically and with companion plants so a good learning experience too. I love herbs and herbal remedies so we will also be planting a large herbal and medicinal garden. Its a large plot and later will house chickens and goats to so anyone happy with wood and hammer could try your hand at a chicken coop or animal shelter. Lots to do but hopefully fun and interesting. Working to create something beautiful and sustainable on the land. Always up for suggestions and happy if people want to work on something alone as long as it fits the theme. I also need dog sitters periodically when I go to work in the uk next one will be in June.

OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). OUR 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guest...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM BEGIN OF AUGUST TO NOVEMBER. We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else. A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place. Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life. I’ve always felt at home out in nature, fishing, sailing or mushroom picking,. I like to work in the garden and cultivate home-grown fruits and vegetables. Astrid: I love living in the nature and the freedom here in Sweden. By ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Creating Eco buildings, sustainable projects and cultural exchange in a village with lots of nature, near the Danube River. I am available from May to October, please book in early as I get quite busy. My name is Oraya. I'm 46, female, well travelled and interested in Nature. I completed courses in Eco building, including Rammed Earth, Straw Bale, Earthships, Cob, Hemp and Green Roofing. I mostly trained with the Brighton permaculture trust. I have been Bio-Dynamically and Organically food growing and have now embarked on a new project. My current project includes establishing a self sustaining small holding and two Eco building projects. I have a large vegetable garden that is chemical free and a cob oven and outside fire pit. The projects that I am working on at the moment are a 2 storey extension, a glass bottle wall building, and a barn renovation. I'm also making a sauna and steam room. I live in a village called Kovachitsa which is half an hour away from the main town of Lom ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Update First free slot now is end April. From February we have Nick from USA here. In April, Olivia from France will continue. April May we start the outside projects and of course all the gardening. This year project will be a sundeck and a toolshed. As always now days, everything depend on the weather. Susanne and I, Anders, bought this old school 10 years ago. The overall goal is to finish the renovation of our houses and run a small B&B in the "new school house." We live here on the edge of the Forest, in the nearly 200 year Old Schoolhouse, with our two small Jack Russells Wilda and Freja. We are both retired, but still feel we are just over 25, maybe a little bit more. Our lifestyle is this country life, to follow nature and the seasons. Most of the heavy work is done by now. Almost time to start all over again. Since this is our life, we do as we please, when we please and of course according to the weather. (People make plans and the old Gods just laugh). We try to do a li...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We live in a Christian community, meeting regularly for prayer, worship and bible study so most of our volunteers share our Christian faith. We are a residential provider of outdoor activities, owned and operated by a small charity. For most of the year we host visiting groups which come to enjoy a range of activities in the beautiful setting of the Scottish Highlands. We are located 2 hours north of Glasgow, the nearest town being Fort William, surrounded by mountains and lochs scenery. There are good road and rail connections to reach us. Volunteers working with us help with cleaning the centre, serving meals, indoor and outdoor maintenance and some grounds work. Life at the centre is quite structured, with a weekly rota and daily task lists to follow. Volunteers are asked to work between 4 and 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. When not engaged in centre duties there are opportunities for volunteers to join in organised activities alongside our groups or to explore the area. V...

Hello. My name is Manon, and I am 33 years old. I live with my husband and my 1-year-old son, in a French old house. We have already renovated a large part of the house over the past two years. Now we're getting back to it with renewed enthusiasm :) I'm studying interior design and learning about traditional methods that are both durable and eco-friendly, so we can feel as comfortable as possible in this building. Anyone who wants to join us on this adventure is more than welcome :) We usually put together groups of volunteers to create fun and dynamic teams :-)

"I'm an early retired gentleman with a wonderful garden. I have 2 free bedrooms for my volunteer guests. I can accommodate 2 people but no couples please. I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with a high level of conversational English, ideally C1 English where we can engage freely and exchange ideas and learn from each other. Ideally, helpers would have an open and curious personality, meaning that they are happy to share and their ideas about the world we live and particularly a love of nature especially plant life.. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians. My priority is to have some company and energy in my home. Activities include long walks, board games, tending garden, watching TV shows and conversations. In general the active time will be 5 hours a day / 5 days a week. Most of the active time will be just hanging out having chats, playi...

Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. We usually prefer long term stays but short term is sometimes possible for people with the right skills. Part-time arrangements (staying a few days per week or per month) are also possible for people living locally. Experience with gardening, animals, carpentry is ideal. We don't smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs and appreciate the same in others. We are a married couple ages 53 and 66, living on a small farm in the famous Vienna Woods outside the city. One partner is an Austrian artist/graphic design teacher and one an American farmer/musician. The American half of our partnership is certified in ecological horticulture from the University of California Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems, and ran an organic farm in California, hosting farm volunteers for 15 years before moving to Austria. We primarily need help with gardening, animal care, carpentry, maintenance/renovation of buildings; this can include taking care of the whole farm when we are away. The work ma...

Hello! We are opening our countryside home in Calabria for tourists this year! We will need two volunteers who are happy to stay with my italian family in the south of Italy, share with us meals and slow life. In the garden there are two very cute dogs :) We cook a lot, go to the beach and enjoy clean air! The house is 15 minutes driving from the beach and 15 minutes driving from mountains and hiking so I would recommend this experience to people with their own car, to be able to enjoy the place! We will require 3/ 4 hours maximum of work a day, that will be with gardening, decorating, cleaning and some general maintenance stuff. We are opening a house that have been closed for a while a make it as a touristic stay, so would love someone who loves staying with people and build a project/ repair things. Fun company is the priority! Ideally some one who would like to work in the day and have ideas for the garden and the house, go to the beach or mountain, and then enjoy staying with us ...

By ...

Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one...
