This is a space for sharing and learning, not a rigid job. Accommodation & Food Stay: You...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

We're Ruth and Ian, living in a **15th century 5-acre Home** in beautiful Mid Devon. Our historic property is full of potential, with a very old house, charming outbuildings, (we are currently restoring) set in 5 acres. Theres an arboretum, orchard, veg garden and lawns, which we are restoring to their former glory. Ian's 95 year old mum has just moved in with us, she is nearly blind and hard of hearing, but adorable and very very independant. We are doing up a granny annexe so she can live independently. We have 6 older children between us in their 30s and adorable grandchildren, none live here, but do come to visit. We love the peace and quiet here, you will wake up to the dawn chorus of birds and there is lots of wonderful wildlife here. We need help with restoring the house, outbuildings, woods, ponds, orchard and grounds. Growing veg, preserving, fermenting our produce. In future getting chicken, ducks, alpacas. We also want to rewild and hedge lay and would love a hobbit hou...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Hello, I live in Durham, which is part of "The Triangle," along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill. This area has an amazing amount of outdoor and cultural activities. You can subscribe to the "Triangle on the Cheap" newsletter to see daily listings of the various festivals, music, farmer's markets, sports events and other activities in the area. And my daughter and I can also give you ideas of things to do. The Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is 15 minutes away, and I can pick you up or drop you off at the airport, but to visit the wide range of activities in our area, you'll probably want your own transportation. In addition, I can provide a bike, and you can hop on the 27 mile American Tobacco bike trail which is only half a mile from my house, and three miles down the trail is Southpoint Mall, which is one of the nicest malls in the whole Triangle, with great shops, restaurants and a movie theater, so it's fun to bike there. There are also 2 Amtrak stations nearby in Durham and Cary, and m...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, physically fit, want to get your hands dirty and love to be outdoors you will love it her...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our honey bees, chickens, cats, dogs, one...

It`s been over 10 years now that we are participating in programs like this. We never get tired of new people staying and having strangers turning into friends. Also our neighbors and others in the village enjoy the exchange. They are always up for a small talk, which is great for you to practice your German! About us: We have organic breed Wagyu Beef (the most expensive meat in the world). There are 3 Horses, a Pig, Chicken, Dogs and a bunch of Cats that are also part of the Farm. We also grow all sort of crops. Either to feed our animals or to sell them. We also grow apples, plums, pears, potatoes and many other things that grow in a garden. There is never a time during summer where u can not just go outside and eat something straight from where it grows.. Ruesselhausen is a small village. Just perfect to be in the nature. There are bikes for you to use so you can discover the surrounding nature. It would be good if you speak a little German because not all of us speak English. We...

We live in a little village in a beautiful spacious farm house from the 18th century. It is a very special and strong place that we discovered in the year 00 destroyed and forgotten, and since then have been working hard to bring it back to life. And yes, successfully:).. We function as a social farm - giving employment to people with chronic psychiatric diseases. We also host yoga and other kinds of seminars. There is always some work in the farm... in the garden, making hay, preparing wood for winter, doing clay plasters, little repairs and cleanouts around the house etc. There is a nice countryside around here, ideal for biking (you can borrow bike here). We are very glad for HelpX project. We have had a pleasure through it to welcome many volunteers and great people and make good experience and some good relationships.

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

We are a couple with grown up children so we gout space to have up to 5 people stay and work with us at our organic farm. I am a cook and my partner is a teacher and landscape engineer. We work with vegetable production, in greenhouses and outdoor. In the summertime we have tomatoes, egplants, peppers, chillies, beans, mm in our greenhouses and different vegetables in the field. We need help for the farm work, and traditional construction work on different parts of the buildings. We have bicycles here for our guests so you can discover the surroundings. Odense is 17km away and the city of Kerteminde, by the sea, is 5km from our place. We like to have people around from all over the world, not only to get some help, but also to enjoy an cultural and social exchange. Hope to meet you soon Annette & Martin

We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, painting walls, etc. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom to use on the lower level of our home. We have two "kids", 23 and 25, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! We enjoy meeting people from other cultures! Our home is near a bus line - 30 minutes to the city center. Walking distance to library, shops and cafes. You are welcome to borrow a bicycle to explore (be prepared for hills!). We like helpers who are friendly and easy going. All of our helpers so far have found a good balance between engaging with us and g...

SUMMER - March 2026. AVAILABILITY. Our availability at the moment is changeable due to the potential for overseas travel. If you have established experience in some of the activities described below and are looking for a farm stay that is both peaceful and busy, please enquire. CURRENT ACTIVITIES. I, Evan, have had some valuable help maintaining our small engines for the hot summer. I've also done oil and filter changes, windshield wiper replacements and rust treatments on our vehicles. In any spare time, I am organising water for plants, fertilisers and mulch for trees, pruning stone fruit trees and general tidy up. So any help mowing lawns, hilling up potatoes, cooking and building compost would be great support at this time. Rosanna continues to tend, harvest and process chillies, peppers, beans, kokihi (NZ spinach), onions, broccoli, cauliflower and aubergine, for Sunday markets. Help with cooking and those activities is also very supportive. LOCATION. We are in Taranaki d...

Hey there! I live in a 270 year-old house with a barn, garden, well, two garden huts, a small meadow and some animals. The property covers about 1900m² and is located at the edge of a small village, directly next to forest and fields, lots of space, peace and nature, but also many interesting corners and small projects. For a few weeks I am looking for friendly and reliable travelers who would like to help me with tasks around the house and household. I am a teacher of French, English and German, and if you are interested I would be happy to offer one hour of German lessons per day. I’m quite a humorous person, and despite not being fully recovered yet, I haven’t lost my sense of humor. I still enjoy a good laugh and try to see the world with kindness and positivity. For many years I hosted language travelers who came to learn German with me. We often explored Cologne, Bonn and the Rhine region together, and they always left very positive reviews. 🔧 Help needed At the moment I a...

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We have turned our farm into a petting zoo and Airbnb. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) Shane:) We are looking for help with: - Daily chores which includes feeding and watering all the animals. -...

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria and now the far south coast of NSW. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders.

We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach. The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. We are looking for people who want who are fit, strong and happy to work outdoors. Please bring suitable clothes, boots and hat. There may be occasional days working on our daughter's property, a simply gorgeous location in the Bega hinterland, with t...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko.

Check...
