We are Karen and Andrew. We live in the beautiful Southern Tier of New York State, about 170 miles (273 km) Northwest of New York City. This is a rural area with lots of hiking and small towns to explore. In summertime, there are festivals, fairs and markets. This farm has been in the same family since it was established -- we are the sixth generation. We have a preservation flock of Icelandic chickens, a vegetable garden and about 150 acres of woods and open land. Invasive plants are always a problem, so there is plenty to do outdoors if that is what you prefer. If you are handy, there is also repair work and painting to be done. We've had a few hundred(?) people coming from other sources since 2015, and in general it seems like people like to stay with us =) The main project for this year is to build extra on the side of our house. So we'll first take what is there before we start to construct the new. We also make some firewood, fix things around the property or house. You can also take part in cooking for the group, and help keep the kitchen and house clean. We plan to have 3-4 helpers staying together with us in the house. Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. We are a working farm and holiday park above Monkstone beach and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There is a small young team here full time. We are looking for one or two people to help on the farm and park. You will be required to do a variety of jobs including working with the team, helping with farm work especially lambing, helping with feeding animals, gardening, cleaning and D.I.Y. Overall you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and use your initiative. We will provide everything so you will be happy and can enjoy your time here. Its a great place!!! ( sadly my dad died in july 2025 My father, who is 103 and has full time care in the house, he likes to have a cup of tea with a piece of cake. at the moment i leave this on my profile in thinking of him ) Our home is located on a dairy farm with 120 milking cows. During the day you can enjoy a walk in the fields or spend some time with the animals. You are really welcome to help in the farm, daily task vary everyday. The Morning and evening you will give a hand at the milking and feed the calves. Cows needs every day care, if there are more than one helper we do rotations. If you have any questions, ask away. I also have three cats and my son Jack next door has two dogs. Some days, my son, Patrick, with special needs is in the house with us, some times he could need a bit of attention.
