We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, etc. Also, Sally is involved in a house-reorganize project for her 89 year old mother that she would love help with. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom with shower to use on the lower level of our home. We are helping at a festival in Seattle's center and we would love some help with this. If you are interested, join us. It is a lot of fun at the city center, right by the iconic Space Needle. It is "Croatiafest" - you can look it up and learn more. We have two "kids", 25 and 27, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! W...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We live on the ridge above Piha, about 20 minutes walk to the beach, on the Hillary walking trail amongst native bush. Our interests are music, alternative spiritual (reincarnation etc), and cultural (languages, travel etc). Vegetarian and gluten-free no problem. Hosts are a retired university lecturer and a dictionary writer! Only couples please, as the room has just one double bed and we have jobs best suited to both men and women. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

* Currently looking for someone to start from early October 2026. Minimum one month stay. Thanks!* We're a Kiwi family of four (an economist/researcher, a social worker/therapist and two primary/intermediate school aged children). We spent 2020 in France and we're looking for someone who can help the girls maintain their language skills and share knowledge of French culture. Failing that, I have spent a few years in Japan and would love to pass on knowledge of the language and culture to the kids as well, so a Japanese person would also be good. We're looking for someone who can meet the kids at school four days a week and keep an eye on them till we finish work (roughly 3pm-5.30pm) during term, with some longer days during the holidays. They're nice kids and reasonably well-behaved (most of the time). Offering accommodation and evening meals, especially if you're keen to share the cooking some nights. Can put you in touch with our past Helpers if you’d like to know more about ...

Our home is in Shailer Park, a Southern suburb of Brisbane between the inner city and the Gold Coast. I have previous experience as a host with HelpX when I lived near Sydney in NSW. It's a quiet safe area and I need help with a gardening project, digging & levelling out soil, arranging some heavy bricks/stones and general tidying up the garden, repotting pot plants ect., plus some small handyman jobs. Most likely a 2 week job. I am a retired female. I have my own ensuite separate to the main bathroom which you will share with one other housemate plus there is an extra toilet downstairs. Help is required 4 to 5hrs per day, Monday to Friday with weekends to yourself and my swimming pool is there for all to enjoy as much as the other communal areas inside. We have the Daisy Hill Koala Centre & Conservation Park in the suburb next door, plus many walking & bicycle trails. A bus trip going North to Brisbane City Centre is about one hour & only 50 cents, and 2.15 hrs by bus, South to...

Hi there, I am looking for some help for my small property (around 500sqm) in central Dunedin. If you are looking to spend a bit of time in this lovely city, I would love you to come and help out, some time between September and October. Here is what I am looking for help with. General gardening, weeding and clearing cobwebs (not bad ones!). Spring clean inside, nothing too heavy, just some wiping of shelves Helping sort out my office that ends up being a dumping ground, just some tidying and arranging, I can help with this. Helping sort out my garage too, and if you are up for it, helping me put some old furniture on FaceBook marketplace or similar. Going through some old filing, we might even order some Ikea to make sure that the office and garage stay tidy after your visit. If you are an experienced painter, painting some inside window sills/panes after a new door and window have gone in. There will always be other things to find to do! I anticipate it will be around a week or ...

We are set on 11 acres of beautiful land with wonderful views over the waters of the Manukau Harbour and with direct access to an expansive beach reserve. At the heart of the light filled house is a meditation room filled with musical instruments and opening onto an expansive lawn which is the setting for outdoor living and communal gatherings. These include occasional house concerts, seasonal celebrations and co creative musical sessions where we can experience our spiritual interconnectedness with Nature and one another. Help is needed in the house and on the land with tasks that include maintaining gardens and fruit trees, cutting grass, clearing weeds, making compost and cutting wood. I welcome people who love Nature and who can work with focus and commitment. In exchange for 24 hours work a week I offer a comfortable room , delicious and wholesome vegetarian meals, access to beaches and bush walks and the possibility that new doors will open for you.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

My husband, Tony and I, offer self-contained accommodation for short stays for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Longer stays may be possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. (too cold at the moment!) Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our grandchildren one da...

ABOUT THE PROPERTY Welcome to my rural property near Alexandra in north-east Victoria, approximately two hours from Melbourne. The property was directly affected by the Longwood bushfire, so there is ongoing recovery work alongside general property maintenance and finishing renovations on my house. I work full-time, so I'm particularly looking for practical, enthusiastic people who are comfortable working independently once they've been shown what needs to be done. There are plenty of animals here too, including horses and ponies, alpacas, goats, chickens, geese, dogs, cats and one rather cheeky wombat! WHAT I OFFER You'll have your own self-contained, basic but cosy one-bedroom off-grid cabin with a portable air conditioner, wood heater, kitchen, shower/bathroom and composting toilet with extraction fan. The cabin is fully furnished and bedding, towels and basic consumables are provided. There is also access to a shared laundry with washing machine and dryer. Helpers buy and cook thei...

Namaste! My name is Dipendra, I’m a 28 year old Nepali man with a passion for nature, culture, and sharing the beauty of my country. I’ve been working in trekking and guiding for many years, and now I invite you to be part of our simple, peaceful life in the countryside of Nepal. As a volunteer, you’ll stay in my family home with me, my wife, our young son, and my parents. You’ll become part of our daily life—helping with small tasks like gardening, cooking, taking care of animals, or even teaching basic English to my little boy. No special skills are needed, just a good heart and willingness to connect. In addition to the homestay experience, I also love to take guests on short treks and nature walks in the beautiful hills and forests near our village. I’ll guide you to hidden spots that only locals know, and share stories about the land and culture along the way. This is a chance to truly experience Nepali life from the inside—sharing meals, traditions, laughter, and local knowled...

We are a French-Japanese couple with 2 cute cats. Our names are François, Noriko, Pomme-chan and Marron-chan. In 2021 we fulfilled our dream by buying a traditional Japanese Kominka standing amidst the stunning scenery of mountainous Nagano prefecture. We have been busy renovating it thoroughly ever since. Our philosophy is to use natural and salvaged materials as much as possible Our final goal is to turn the 90 year old house into a sustainable accommodation with a community café so that we can share the house’s history as well as its stunning view on the Northern Japanese Alps with even more people! The house is located remotely (getting to the next bigger city takes about 20 minutes by car), which makes it perfect for enjoying the rich wildlife, going on a hike, or stargazing. If you’re lucky you might even run into a Japanese serow or Japanese macaques! There is a bus stop with in close walking distance, so on your days off you may visit the city, go for a walk to the nearby lake...

Hello, We are Jen and David and our tropical home and garden needs some work, We live walking distance to the beach and nature reserve in a quiet suburb. Currently needing help with gardening, house maintenance and lots of painting (includes prep). Let us know if you have anything else to offer, as we may be able to use your skills. My parents live next door and often join us for a meal. We may also ask you to help at my parents' house. You must like dogs as we have 2 dogs and three chickens. Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, five goats, a pig, a horse, one cat, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well. I am not just looking for someone to help with daily tasks—I would like to offer a meaningful cultural exchange and create a positive experience together. If you are interested in me...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

We are looking for helpers from the beginning of August and have space for five people. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so room for up to five helpers. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. At the moment we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills with tools.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. We operate Muriwai surf school and adventure hire centre at Muriwai Beach. The deal is 2 hours work per day per pers...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Volunteers accepted between June to October only. We have created Thailand's first Earthship inspired building in an organic orchard in the mountainous region in the north. I have 10 years experience building with rice husks (hulls) which is an excellent material for monsoon areas, and I have combined this knowledge with ideas from Earthships to create a truly cool building, dry and cold in heat and rain, and warm in winter, using natural and local materials, and recycled tires and bottles. This is a chance to learn and understand how a tropical earthship is made. Mostly gardening work is needed, plus some internet work explaining and publicising tropical earthships. Some maintenance may be needed on the Earthship. We can offer a wood and bamboo guesthouse to stay in, in an orchard, and we have a sun heated shower. There is a small kitchen, or you can use the kitchen in the earthship. You can see 2 photos of the guesthouse and 2 of the earthship. This area is very beautiful and pea...

Summer openings for some of August Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SUMMER with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Hello wonderful Help-xer's! We have an opportunity for a couple, to come for a week, or two weeks at a time. We are a family of five running a sheep and beef farm in Rissington, just out of Napier. (three children aged 12, 14 and 16) We have comfortable accommodation with your own large King bedroom and bathroom, that would suit an energetic, couple, or one/two motivated people travelling together who are keen to help with our beautiful riverside accommodation whilst learning about our culture and family along the way! You will stay and help cook meals for our family whilst having the opportunity to go out and explore the beautiful Hawkes Bay. We are looking for help with the following; landscaping, weeding, spraying, limbing up trees, spraying down and washing outside of buildings, washing windows, gardening and general maintenance around the property. Your own car would be an advantage. In return for your help, we would love to welcome you into our close-knit family and community ...

Hi, I am Tika. I am a teacher at the local government secondary school in Maipokhari village. I am living with my family in Sandakpur-3, Maipatal village in the Ilam district. There are 4 family members in our family. Me, my wife (dika), son (suman) and a daughter (sudha). The village is located around 600km from Kathmandu with an altitude of 2225 mt. The Ilam district is famous for its tea farms. We have our own organic farm, with fruit & herbal plants and a nursery consisting mainly of kiwi plants. We have also two cows. We are growing kiwi, black tea, ground apples, chickpeas, cucumber and beans. Volunteers are warmly welcomed to my farm as well as my family. You can experience rural life in the east of Nepal and you can get a true sense of local rural life. Our village and its surroundings are quite green and it's known as the greenest district of Nepal as well as the tea paradise. If you like, you can do many activities here.

We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas and would like to spend a minimum of 3 months living on a beach on Kauai Island, the...
