Homestay in Southern Indiana We are looking for a capable and thoughtful person (or couple) for a long term stay to assist with housekeeping, meal prep, organization, and selling items on FB marketplace & Craigslist. Come experience the true magic of Ireland on this 4 acre homestead. You will immediately feel at home in the warmth and comfort of our self built haven. From the gardens, orchards, meadows and woodland on the property, it will be easy to lose yourself, and rediscover who you are, in the wonderland of it all, as you learn new skills, and share your own.. We can wind down our day with ease, sharing our life stories over homecooked meals, that will nourish your mind, belly, and soul. Over 35+ years, my husband and I created a beautiful space with large flowerbeds, vegetable and fruit garden, two polytunnels, meadows and wooded areas out of a 4 acre meadow. Sadly, my husband died in early 2019. Though his memory remains alive with the evident love he poured into every detail of building our home. It's a lot to manage on my own, as I also work part-time in a woollen mill and as a translator. So I'm looking for help, from other women only. This involves planting, weeding, mulching, cut...

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. Currently seeking single person from 16th August onwards. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. I am a principal of a primary school. We have so far 35 foster kids and we would love to have volunteers in our small organisation and at our school. We welcome visitors here and if you want, we can pick you from the airport Entebbe and you can just pay the fuel or when you are already in Uganda and you want to come to Masaka, we can pick you from the bus park in Masaka for free. So whoever is ready to come is welcome. Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

We are looking for helpers from the beginning of August and have space for up to four people at the moment. We have three small cabins, two with double beds and one with a single bed so everyone has their own space. All the helpers share a kitchen and bathroom. At the moment we need help with some building work so preference will be given to people who already have some skills.. We are a great place to start or end your time in New Zealand as we are only 45 minutes drive from Auckland airport. The work will be varied and interesting but usually building and garden based. It could include finishing off an underground earth bag hobbit hole. We have a passion for earth building and organic gardening. Its good if you are over the age of 20, are self motivated and can work unsupervised. We are located on Auckland's beautiful West Coast only 40mins drive from Auckland central city. We operate Muriwai surf school and adventure hire centre at Muriwai Beach. The deal is 2 hours work per da...

We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone to join us in July for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help around the house and to be home when Abigail gets home from school. As we are in school holidays until the end of July, there will be more time with Abigail. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a bit of flexibility as to how these play out. We (Darryl and Theamarie) work fulltime so you would have the house to yourself during the days. Our cats, Nyx and Eros...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. We can easily talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. It's becoming difficult to afford free meals to helpers because of rapid and continuous economic inflation, especially foods under the COVID pandemic, wars and Japanese currency depreciation. From July 2026, you are asked to share cost of meals during homestay. Amount may be 30000 to 50000 Yens per month, depending on your cooking skill. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am...

You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Maps") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post off...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. EDIT: We are looking specifically for someone for October/November for the Halloween event and takedown/farm care in November During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. The Halloween event is different - full days which include trailer loading/unloading, construction, using power tools, painting, costume/makeup work, decorating, animatronic setup, and helping to deliver the food and funds collected to the foodbank after the event is over. We've never had a Helpxer regret the experience and all have said they want to come back and do it again one day because it was such an awesome experience! Ideal for enthusiastic and creative people who want to work in a big team environment with laughter, jokes, productivity and a sense of accomplishment for a job well done.
