I'm offering the chance to stay a short stroll away from Kingston Beach in Southern Tasmania on a beautiful bush property in exchange for help with carpentry, landscaping and routine chores around the house. Kingston Beach is a 20 minute drive from Hobart and a popular beach for dog walking, sailing, walking and swimming. There are plenty of bushwalking opportunities in the area very close by. You feel like you are miles from civilisation, but you aren't. The sound of the sea is always there. There are some good cafes and restaurants close by too, and even a pub. I'm the lucky one who lives here with my older Jack Russell, Tilly. I'm looking for someone or a couple who loves the native Tasmanian bush. You would stay in a little semi-private bedroom with bathroom. My dog loves to be made a fuss of, so dog lovers are most welcome. I'd expect you to work 4 hours a day with weekends off, but there'd be flexibility with this arrangement. I enjoy cooking and sharing cooking experiences a...

Dear all, I'm looking for people who are willing and able to help build a Walipini greenhouse at my new home on a south-facing slope. I'm also looking for reliable people to look after my house and pets from January 23rd to February 25th. I'd like to be there for my grandsons' birthdays in the Netherlands. I can leave later but won't be back earlier due to an appointment at the Dutch embassy in Paris for a new passport. Perhaps I can find someone who is willing and able to do both. If you can come this period, now how to handle a chainsaw and a wood stove, you are very welcome to reply. let me know. Kind regards, Aletta Binsbergen Bonjour à tous, Je recherche des personnes disposées et capables de m'aider à construire une serre Walipini dans ma nouvelle maison, située sur un versant exposé plein sud. Hi, we are Swiss couple, Barbra and Roberto and we live in the south of the peloponnes on a large piece of land that has fig, olive and fruit trees. We also have horses and animals so we always welcome help. Mainly we need help in the winter with the olive harvest but in the summer we need people to help us with picking figs as well. There is plenty more to do such as taking care of the animals and building work (currently we are building walls, a cage for pheasants and getting our garden ready for vegetables) and just general help with the upkeep of our land. If you come to stay there is always plenty of space. We have a new stables that has two rooms and a bathroom which you could use or in the summer people often prefer to sleep outside on one of the balconies that overlook the mountains and the sea. We generally prefer people who are able to stay for more than just a couple of weeks. in the beginning of November we are always low on people and we are happy for anybody that can ...

In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun.

Hi team. Currently I'm looking for two friends that are happy to stay the month of February. The first week we would show you the place and care of the horses as a full helpx and the second and third week we will be away. The work will be reduced for these two weeks to two hours maximum a day but you provide your own food. You get to have your very own private base close to Christchurch yet in the middle of a nature reserve, with beach , lagoon and forest at your doorstep. Best of both worlds. The last week we would be doing full helpx again. We like the ideal candidates to have horse experience and be given or take 25 or over. Looking forward to hearing from you. Below the normal helpx profile we have up. Please note that above is what we currently looking for. Cheers Mariska Welcome to Christchurch, our family and our horse farm.

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a puppy and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accommodation, meals (please provide your own snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found his way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g. 1 or 2 weeks or months stay but ...

Winter January 2026 Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this winter with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house ...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Currently the main focus is on landscaping, forging a pathway up the hill via carving out soil on one side and adding to the other side, creating little embankment walls in the process. Most of these embankments will be made from recycled Oamaru natural stone, a few with recycled glass bottles. Our white Oamaru sandstone has attracted various sculptors to our town, because it is soft enough to be cut and carved...

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. In your free time, you can walk in the forest and mountains, chill in the r...

Hello travellers! My daughter (19) and I both enjoy getting to know people from different countries. We like to get out and about spending time at the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or walking in the bush. We also love nature photography, such as capturing the aurora, bioluminescence, sunsets and funghi. So I am happy to show you some of what we have to offer in Tassie. In summer I am on holidays as I work as a teacher, and I do more outdoor activities. During term time we are not home much during work hours, so we seek people who are happy in their own company for part of the day. When we get home we usually head out for a walk on the beach with the dogs. On the weekends we like to spend time outdoors. I would like help with cooking, cleaning, gardening and dog walking, I also have a few repair jobs I would like help with and I would like to build a small shed, but I would only ask you to do this if you knew how. In the garden I am trying to increase the organic content in...

Come to share this human experience with us in the middle of the Peruvian jungle! We started to build our Eco Lodge in the Amazonas, at the edge of a river, with volunteers from all around the world and locals. The aim is to build a Center of Well Being, to create a community based on permaculture concepts, learn how to live sustainably, entertain, relax, heal, develop projects and express creativity. All kinds of help in Ecology, gardening, cleaning, reforestation, organic crops or cooking vegetarian meals is welcome. You will work 5h per day (from 7am to 12) and then you will be free to go to the river, to play volleyball, football, canoe/kayak or just to relax in the amazon jungle. You could also visit the community we work with. You will learn a lot about living in the Amazon jungle in a good place to live off grid! If you enjoy solitude, working without a boss, are energetic and in good physical condition, the jungle is the place for you ! Come join us in Iquitos, to partic...

Kia ora! I’m Cherie — a friendly, down-to-earth Kiwi mum of two, living just 5–10 minutes from the stunning Mangawhai surf beaches, bush walks, cafés, and weekend markets. After years of living on a larger self-sustainable farm, I’ve now relocated to a smaller home base where I’m building a simpler, slower, and more connected life — and I’d love a hand along the way! I’m a qualified naturopath, life coach and massage therapist with a deep love for nature, soulful conversations, organic gardening, emotional wellness, and conscious living. My two beautiful children keep life full, and while I juggle parenting and work, I welcome help around the home and garden to keep everything flowing. Help Needed: • General gardening and weeding • DIY projects or light building tasks • Property maintenance and painting • Childcare or play support • Animal care (we still have a few furry and feathered friends!) • Cooking, cleaning, or organizing if that’s your strength About Our Home: We share our s...

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish.
