I would call myself the follower of The Path, wherever that might lead while taking full responsibility for my life and equally enjoying the good, the bad and the ugly. "Conservative hippie" is the phrase which I eagerly stole and adopted. Away from the "world" village is located in southwest mountaines of Serbia. Accomoditation in the house where no one lived for 20+ years, but I have for the past four (4 years). It is ever changing with new additions of kitchen, dining area and veranda. Building the bathroom and the new roof is the current big project, together with fencing the wood so the goats and chickens could roam around more freely. If you want to help and be part of this once in a lifetime adventure? Like living a sober and awake life, using natural elevation tools like exercising, stretching, jumping, praying or meditating then say YES!! River/stream Prištevica, with fresh and cold water is around 1.5 km away. First neighbors behind the hills. The spring (water) running...

Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Helpers activities are seasonal, and may include harvesting macadamia nuts in winter; processing the nuts; shelter belt maintenance; firewood splitting; weed grubbing and minimal gardening. We work alongside helpers and show you what to do. Please be aware that orchard work is physical, you will get dirty and there could be a few bugs! We request an average of 4 hours help per night stayed in return for food and accommodation. So that is 28 hours per week. However we aim to have a day off each week by working 2 x 6 hour days, or an 8 hour day. We can usually be flexible and also consider our helper's wishes. Work starts at 9am. We have a separate co...

I am a retired English teacher with an interest in all things organic. I live with my husband Richard who is also retired, and we have one dog. Our children and grandchildren play a large part in our lives, we often take care of the small children, and sometimes they come to stay. We will help the volunteer to improve their English, and you have a comfortable bedroom and bathroom and good food which is mainly vegetarian. We now live in a bungalow very close to the beach, and since we have only recently moved in there are so many jobs to sort out. We love growing both food and flowers, so in addition to quite a large garden we also have an allotment where we are learning to grow our favourite foods. There is a small orchard in our garden, ten apple and four pear trees, which need lots of work towards the end of August and for all of September. We also have plenty of winter work - one big job is hanging pictures, so any volunteers with an artistic eye would be particularly wel...

Kiaora, Shalom and Hello to you!!! Our home is queer, arty and vegan. We are a quirky Kiwi married female couple living with 5 small dogs and 2 mini horses. We live rural near a town called Warkworth, 40 minutes drive ( by car ) north of Auckland. We are: Jasmine and Sharyn. Jasmine is an artist and board game designer and Sharyn is a dog groomer and her business is a separate dwelling on the property. When Jasmine is free and feeling okay she may show you some boardgames or even go on nature adventures, art galleries and even EDM or Hiphop music gigs if keen :) If you have interest in the board game design process she is happy to involve you including playtesting designs she is working on. Sometimes Sharyn also shares her game designs as well. Our property is a rural lifestyle property. Our home is a modern blue bungelow and has an indoor jungle. Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hello and welcome! The main project here consists in the restoration and recovery of a splendid house in the mountains with a mill for grinding chestnuts. The place is fully imerged in the green of Tuscany (garfagnana) with over 300 chestnut trees. There are natural waterfalls of 5 and 20 meters just 15 minutes walk away and many fantastic walking trails. I currently have about 50 free range chickens and several cute German shepherds, who help me look after them. There is also a pond with trout that I restored. I have a vegetable garden and many wild herbs, berries, nuts and mushrooms to harvest and preserve. So even in the winter I can provide good food which is sourced locally. If you like I can teach you to cook using traditional Italian methods. The drinking water comes from a natural spring. With this I also make my own soap. The farm has a river running through it, and in the future I would like to create hydro-electricity from this. Some additional information. Instead of ...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We live on a beautiful 1 acre block filled with fruit trees and vegetable beds, where we are learning to use permaculture methods. In 2015, we travelled for a year and loved our experiences working through Helpx. It was a wonderful way to meet local people and contribute in a worthwhile way. We are keen to give other travellers this experience so we offer meals and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours work per day. We need help with gardening, wood chopping, fence painting and other odd jobs around the house. We have a warm and cosy tiny house, with it's own toilet and shower for your use. We cook healthy meals and enjoy sharing fun times around the dinner table. South Taranaki is amazing. From our place you can access both the mountain and the ocean. Surfing is superb and walks in Taranaki National Park are serene. The city of New Plymouth is a 1/2 hour drive away.

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

OUR Ecovillage (1999) is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). OUR 'regenerative living learning journey' forms the platform for the efforts we put towards making a difference in the world. We work within intercultural/intergenerational/interfaith/inter-nation restorative justice framework on our farm and work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! This means we are working with: the gardens, livestock/poultry, food forests, natural building (earthen, strawbale, plaster projects, finishing work, carpentry, etc), food preservation, yummy kitchen crafting for shared meals, mosaic and mural artwork, supporting Eco-tourism & farm guest...

🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely s...

Hello! We are Abdel & Luke, qualified English tutors from Morocco (Abdel) and the small island of Guernsey (Luke), living in the city of Kelaa, Morocco. As part of a small team of locals and volunteers we have just launched a new language school in addition to our sister school in neighbouring L’Attaouia - At the moment we are mainly focusing on English, German, Italian and French so if you are a native speaker - or have some ability or fluency - we are super happy to have you. Our aim is to bring unique learning experiences to students and give them an invaluable cultural exchange - the main goal being to improve their language abilities to enrich their lives and futures as for so many this is vital to better opportunities in work and life. Here, you will be immersed in true Moroccan life, far away from the touristic normalities most may experience and expect. A totally unique and genuine cultural exchange, from visiting the Souk, bathing in the Hammam, enjoying surrounding sites o...

We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, painting walls, etc. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom to use on the lower level of our home. We have two "kids", 23 and 25, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! We enjoy meeting people from other cultures! Our home is near a bus line - 30 minutes to the city center. Walking distance to library, shops and cafes. You are welcome to borrow a bicycle to explore (be prepared for hills!). We like helpers who are friendly and easy going. All of our helpers so far have found a good balance between engaging with us and g...

Hi everyone , I would like to have some help to get my house and garden organized and take care of my dog, she is 8 year old and maybe some minor construction work like sanding or painting. It would be great to have someone around if possible for at least 2-3 weeks so if you want to be part of a fun time just contact us. The Region offers lots of beautiful sites to discover and many sports activities are available. Connections by train are easy to every were. I live in a small town on the country side, speak french, english and german. Feel free to ask more details. It would be great to host someone independant, who likes to organize work alone and who would enjoy the privacy of a room and bathroom in a house with a garden. Lots of opportunities to visit the country as trains are running often and anywhere from early morning to late night. We are used to travel and have enjoyed so many helpers from around the world. See you soon !

"I'm an early retired gentleman with a wonderful garden. I have 2 free bedrooms for my volunteer guests. I can accommodate 2 people but no couples please. I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with a high level of conversational English, ideally C1 English where we can engage freely and exchange ideas and learn from each other. Ideally, helpers would have an open and curious personality, meaning that they are happy to share and their ideas about the world we live and particularly a love of nature especially plant life.. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians. My priority is to have some company and energy in my home. Activities include long walks, board games, tending garden, watching TV shows and conversations. In general the active time will be 5 hours a day / 5 days a week. Most of the active time will be just hanging out having chats, playi...

Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (33years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (25years old) who joined me six months ago and with Maelvin since few months. it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, insulation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials and with exchanging with people, that why we ask a little help for paying food (10euro...

Hello! I have always used Trusted House for my home in Italy. Many of my sitters told me about HelpX. I moved back into my old home in the states in 2023 and after serious renovations. Took a year. I am in desperate need of help! I wish I had the money to pay people but the renovation has me tapped out. Below is a list of the numerous projects I need help with. I am doing what I can alone but many of them are easier done with two people. Feel free to apply to one or even two! You can stay for a week or longer. Specify the project you would like to help me with. I have no preference as to when things get done.. just want to get them done!!! Much of it is whether permitting since there are outdoor projects as well as indoor ones. Since I am a flight attendant I am flexible with the dates. If you come here while I am working my trips I hope you can help with the one man jobs. This month begins what we call high time flying so I would really have to work with you in order to figure ...

We are startíng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonçalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. In Uganda, 50,000 children are growing up in orphanages. Nearly all have family. Orphanages make orphans out of children. We help set up community hub centers that provide services that PREVENT family separation in the first place. Every day, families in crisis or poverty are forced to give up their children in the hope of a better life. Decades of research prove what we know in our hearts: a family is the best place for a child to grow up. The Foundation helps reunite children with their own families where possible and finds loving, Ugandan adoptive or foster families where the child’s own family cannot be found or is unsafe. We help set up community hub centers that provide services that prevent family separation in the first place. We also got some kids we care for and as for that reason we encourage volunteers to come through and give a hand to help a child's Life. Any support is highly appreciated, for example, Teaching, Gardening, and many others that can encourage these kids to ...

Friendly and busy equestrian centre near Cork city, Southern Ireland. Various individual packages available from help in lieu of accommodation and food to full training. Working student packages available too. I'm best contacted by email or phone as sometimes it's a while before I check my inbox on this site. We welcome anybody that's keen to get involved, work with and learn about horses. Most of the jobs involve caring for the horses. There is riding only for people with experience as we don't have horses suitable for beginners. Other jobs include painting, cleaning weeding etc. Experience with horses is a big advantage.

We give...

Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

****** This year, we welcome helpers from April 20, 2026, to July 4, 2026, for approximately two weeks each. ****** Hello! Help is needed in gardening and general housework. (The ecological house building we stopped for the moment.) We are looking for motivated helpers for about some-week stays. We expect half day of work, 4 hours a day, weekend off and help with cleaning up the table and the kitchen after the meals. Schedule may vary depending to the work needs and weather conditions. If we don't make any other arrangements together, you can help us from 8 am to 12 noon and have the afternoon free for excursions, walks or bike tours. We are a family of three, Isabel, Uli, and our son Isidro, age 14. We live in the district of Appenzell, Switzerland with a beautiful view of the Rhein Valley and the Austrian and Swiss mountains. We speak fluent German and Italian and some French, English, Czech and a bit of Spanish. Our old farmhouse burned down in 2007; however, w...
