Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Handy volunteers needed at my ecotourism guesthouse and harbour property in north Norway. I am looking for help in autumn, especially September to November. September is the end of summer season. We have fewer guests and more time to take care of the place and to start prepare for winter. We have painting to be done both indoor and outdoor, rooms to reorganise, trees to cut and garden work to do and much more. With old buildings and outdoors to improve there is always need for handy people. My guesthouse has the sweetest rooms and a nice summer café. Here is a big quay, historical buildings, and heritage boats. We have the best view, right at the ocean edge, with panorama of the more famous Lofoten isles. To have volunteers staying here over the years, has been enjoyable experiences, and I appreciate both the help and the company. To share my place and culture with adventurous people from so many different countries is a great part of being a HelpX family. During your stay we wil...

This farm from around 1864 in Hardanger has not been run for about 30 years, and has been brought back to life by us and a bunch of volunteers .Tessa grew up in Oslo and moved here 2017, and Ander came in 2019 and is from Basque country. Ander and Tessa take care of of their newly planted apple plantation, and make apple juice and cider. We got some chickens and Ander keeps bees, and we make firewood for the house. The farm overlooks the glacier Folgefonna across the fjord. Tessa and Ander often work late. Sometimes we are social and sometimes we all need time on our own. It is therefore great if the volunteers can be self sufficient in their free time and manage to transport themselves around. So the bus is your option, and it is limited. So we are a bit isolated here. We like people that have some working skills, that they are practical and get things done in an effective way. We are looking for a couple or two friends that do not care sharing a room ( see information about room lat...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

*IMPORTANT* You have to require a minimum 211A Single Visa to be able to volunteer with us. You can leave us a message if you believe you can and are willing to arrange the visa for yourself. We can help a bit if you need some things with the paperwork. With this visa, you can also volunteer longer in Indonesia and leave more impact:) If you are a student, an international internship visa (211B) will also do. I (Monica) started this budget learning center for everyone (the rich and especially the poor) in my hometown, Sungai Penuh, Jambi province, Indonesia (first). 2 years later, after exploring many things in life, I decided to start a Pay-As-You-Wish learning center on Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Little did I know that in a year it has grown unexpectedly great with massive support from many many people. Now we have more than 50 paid part-time teachers teaching in Lombok, Sungai Penuh, and online with more than 300 students all around Indonesia and a few of them ...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of many hard working wwoofer's/HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked here with me, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! These days instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal , please, understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music... In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, I love music and most of the time there is music in the house. This is a Private Forest Reserve, 80 acre property, 7km from St M...

Looking for a lovely volunteer(s) to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM early November. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

Hi there. We are a family of four, Jason, Emma, Aria and Jenson living in a beautiful part of North Canterbury on a 20 acre lifestyle block with a few cows, a few sheep, 1 horse (Katie), a big fluffy dog (Faelan) and free range chickens. Overview: We are a Tibetan Buddhist Centre that welcomes HelpX volunteers interested in learning more about meditation, Buddhism and the spiritual life. Jobs are mainly cleaning, gardening and grounds work. We offer accommodation usually in our dorm room and free attendance at classes & meditations. Volunteers are responsible for their own food - but are welcome to also use the veggies in the veggie garden (seasonal). We are a Registered Charitable Trust and rely on volunteers and donations. We do not have a large budget and are unable to provide food money to short-term volunteers. This is really a place for those that wish to learn more about Buddhism, live in our community and offer service for a short period (2 - 3 weeks). Living at a Buddhist Centre we ask you to respect the Lay Buddhist Precepts during your stay (ex. no killing, no lying, no stealing, no taking intoxicants, etc.) and be respectful of Centre residents. 4 good hours of work per day, 2 days off per week. Length o...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

This is a historic country homestead set in rural Central Hawke’s Bay, on Porangahau Road, surrounded by gardens, mature trees, open farmland, birdsong and big skies. Built in 1853 by the Ormond family, Wallingford is one of Hawke’s Bay’s oldest homesteads and has a wonderfully peaceful, tucked-away feeling — the sort of place where guests arrive down the driveway, exhale, and settle into country life. The homestead is run by Chris and Jeanette Stockdale, former Sydney restaurateurs who swapped city restaurant life for the joy of creating warm, generous hospitality in the country. Chris is an experienced chef with a deep love of seasonal, garden-led and locally sourced food, while Jeanette brings warmth, humour and genuine care to the front of house. Together, they create an experience that is relaxed, welcoming and full of heart. Our homestead has been described by one guest as “possibly the most welcoming place in the world,” which beautifully captures the spirit of the homestead. ...

Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. ‍ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a m...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

2026 UPDATE* Seeking motivated person/couple interested in large scale gardening, firewood/ stipend We're a farm and homestead community situated in the scenic Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. A family farm for 2 generations, we grow fruit and vegetables in our garden and greenhouse, wild berries, fruit trees, and Christmas trees. The farm is adjacent to several thousand acres of state forest, accessed and enjoyed by a network of trails leading to streams/brooks with swimming spots and waterfalls. In 2025, work is focused on gardening, growing high-tunnel crops, collecting berries, farm stand operation, and trail maintenance. Tasks may include: weeding, planting, harvesting and helping to sell produce. Other tasks might include things that help keep the farm going and prepare for the long-run, like fixing irrigation or farm structures and equipment, painting, landscaping projects, and processing or preserving food. Helpers can choose tasks that they feel comfortable with. We ca...

Its nearly September and spring is alreadyt here and we are looking for helpx second week of September. Farm work doesn't stop regardless of the weather. Gardening is an ongoing project, but we are also looking for some paving and various other property tidying up. . We always need help in the olive and hazel nut grove as well as other farm chores. Couples or singles with transport is preferred as we are off the main public transport route and approximately one hour south of the centre of Christchurch so ideal for folk heading either north or south. We can consider folk and make some adjustment with no vehicle though as there are buses that pass by the main South Road not too far from our farm. If you consider you have some special talent to offer, please contact us. Helpers with carpentry skills or handyman/woman skills are particularly welcome. We are meat eaters so catering for non-meat eaters can be a little difficult but do-able with your help. We are a friendly...

You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and an elderly but treasured chicken. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside.

We raise our own, organic meat and have a couple of tunnel houses so we can grow our own organic food. We live in an old farmhouse, situated approx 2km from Waikari, a quiet, picturesque village with several walkways to explore including an old local fire lookout, the frog rock climb in the Weka Pass and a local walk to some Maori rock drawings. We are also close (40 mins) to Hanmer Springs, 1.5 hrs from Kaikoura, 1 hr from Chch airport and about 20 mins from the beach and the town of Amberley. Length o...
