Hawaii Beach Project: This is a construction project that believes in creating positive change by using sustainable methods and newly invented building materials and procedures. Our project has been underway for over a decade and through the process we have had the opportunity to present a transformative experience for individuals who want to work on not only bringing the building and environment to a higher place, but to also bring themselves to a higher place. We provide and encourage all who come to volunteer to participate in meditation groups and seminars, yoga practices, healthy eating options (all of the food here is provided for you!), and make strong and lasting relationships with everyone who lives here! We are looking for long term help in carpentry, mechanical, electrical, fiber cable installation, tiling, masonry, and drywall. If you have any experience in any of these construction areas and would like to spend a minimum of 3 months living on a beach on Kauai Island, the...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between now and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

Now accepting anybody for quite a long time. I am currently building a house from scratch and at this moment (December 2025) I need help landscaping. The yard could use a day or two of cleaning up and leveling and planting. I prefer to not be the decision maker on what get planted so helpers can have at it. In exchange for work I'll pay for some food and fun city events that are ongoing. At this point in the project I can only offer my tiny house (300 sqft), places to tent camp, or a parking spot for vans dwellers inside my gated property. I have an outdoor shower and compost toilet setup for campers or van dwellers. Text my mobile number a nice message instead of messaging on HelpX. I'll respond within mins on WhatsApp or regular American/Canadian texts. We work hard and play hard. No body walks away disappointed. I have a lot of experience hosting and never disappoint. He festival season is now here ending in May. Lots of things to see and do in the new Orleans area right...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

hello, I prefer requests that are for the near future, I don't like to plan too far ahead. This is an organic farm on a sheltered inlet, with horses, sheep, chickens, orchards, & gardens.. Needing help with keeping the grounds beautiful, repairs, building projects, harvesting, weeding, pruning, planting, and animal care. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The seaside jewel cabin is located in a private seaside spot with it's own bathhouse and kitchen nearby. The exchange is to volunteer 1.5 hrs. per day without food supplied. The work involves cleaning up after the horses or sheep (scooping poop) in the barn or on the grounds, then various projects for the balance of 1.5 hrs. You can get a part time job on Saltspring as many jobs are available. This island is very popular with the biggest problem being lack of accommodation, so helping at the farm gives you that preci...

Version française plus bas. __________________________________ Hello! We moved from Germany four years ago to the beautiful Gaspé-coast. We’re located 5km from the sea and we live midst a community of young people. Who’s “we”? Well, it’s Catherine (33 years old), Olaf (43 years old), Mathis (3 years) and Artemis, our cat. We're currently awaiting a second child that should be born this summer. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible on the food and work in our garden to make it a little bigger each year. We grow organic (not certified) vegetables of all kinds, berries, medicinal herbs, perennials and more. We also have a wood lot close by. We try to make our own seeds as much as possible and start our own seedlings in spring for the garden and the greenhouse. We also transform our harvest by drying, fermenting, canning, making juice etc. Of course there is always things to do around the house and inside, too. So there is always some extra hands needed. Our handcraft-projects incl...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

About Us I live with three roommates in a very old house in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. My roommates are Japanese and Nepali, including a queer woman. They enjoy anime, games, and music. Japanese is our common language. I'm an IT engineer who works at home, and they are a voice actor and a student. If you answer all questions of my profile, you have a better chance to be accepted. Room sharing and coming out of the closet are uncommon in Japan. Art Project I offered the wall to a friend who wanted to paint a mural, but some space remained. I then invited artists from around the world—many volunteers have contributed. We don’t have art skills ourselves and don’t participate or suggest designs. The Neighborhood Two stations from Ikebukuro and ~30 minutes from Shinjuku and Shibuya. Quiet residential area with some restaurants and shops. The house is old, poorly ventilated, and in a natural setting. Not suitable for people with asthma or allergies to dust or animals. Looking for people who ca...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's going into Summer now, so we need lots of outdoor help getting the property and garden cleaned up after such a long and hard winter. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at online selling in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the i...

We’d love to welcome you to our 5-acre permaculture farm in Shadforth, just 4km from the heart of Denmark in stunning South-West WA. Relax in your own private apartment, completely separate from the house. 🌱 On our farm we apply permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. We use a chicken mandala system, rotating our chicken coop through veggie garden zones to regenerate soil, reduce pests, and grow nutrient-rich food. We use sheep for regenerative grazing and for our own meat self sufficiency. Our next project is planting fruit trees to increase biodiversity and productivity on the land. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 We are a couple with two energetic boys aged 10 and 13. We are active in the local community and we enjoy sharing our lifestyle with open-minded, curious people. 🐕 Our land is also home to our loyal and hard-working male livestock guardian dog, who takes his job of protecting the chickens and sheep from foxes very seriously. We have availability to help Marcus with his native tree propagation onsite for one week from 16-23rd June and 14-21st August. Looking for those who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us as a fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

If you'd like to experience natural, simple living and see what it is like to start a life relying more on yourself than the consumer driven culture, and hear about the realities of "community living", then we may just be a match. We are a young family with four kids under 10, trying hard to transition into self sufficiency. We live off grid, on a bush block. It is a 15 minutes drive to town. A bus can be caught 2.4km away. Coonabarabran is Australia's astronomy capital. The observatory here allows space and planet enthusiasts to explore their interests. My kids are homeschooled, don't eat or watch junk, not allowed tech devices, run and play with each other, help garden and clean up, my 5 year old chops wood, my 8 year sews and weaves - and they love the lifestyle. If we watch a film, we discuss the subliminal messages. I spent summers in Russia on dacha plots, where people grew their own food and knew their neighbors. My partner delved into alternate research 17 years ago, and ha...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and Organic Vegan Farm in Central Costa Rica Hello everyone! What we do: We take care of animals, we grow organic food, we prepare and eat tasty vegan meals, we minimize our impact on the earth, and we enjoy the company of our Costa Rican friends and neighbors. We have run a volunteer program for over 18 years, and have had several hundred people come to work with us! Our farm is primarily an animal rescue, rehab and sanctuary. Our doors are open to animals in need. We currently have five rescue dogs, six goats, a pig, a horse, two cats, and two water buffalos. Some came off the streets, some were abandoned, others were injured and no longer wanted. We adopt out what we can, but most are retired and happy to live their lives on the farm. The 3.5 hectare property is covered with many tropical fruit trees, including water apple, mandarin orange, banana (many varieties), guayaba, guanabana, cas, caimito, lime, nance, coffee and araza. Depending on the se...

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english.

Helpers must be comfortable around large working ...

Hi, my name is Sarvajna and my home is situated on a community in the Tweed Valley, Northern NSW. Your accommodation will be a room with brilliant views of the valley and a double bed. I am a vegetarian House hold meaning during your stay there will be no meat in the kitchen! I need some help around the property, such as whipper snipping, mowing, mulching, weeding, house cleaning, gardening... I love hiking and would be happy to go on adventures to beautiful waterholes and waterfalls in our area with you. I'm looking for physically fit people as some of the jobs involve shoveling, digging or moving boxes. You will be able to enjoy free accomodation, free vegetarian meals and in return I like to get 4 hours help per day. I like music around the fire and am into board games.

Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...
