Failte gu Trumisgearraidh, We're a young couple based in North Uist, seeking some extra help with tree planting this February! In 2018, we planted over 9000 native trees in a designated plantation, and are looking for some help planting 2000 more. This stay would be ideal for a couple, two friends or one independent solo traveller to help for approx. 5 hours per day (depending on the weather) during their stay, with plenty time to explore the beaches and wild hills of North Uist in between. The dates are flexible, but ideally starting February 23rd for a period of two-three weeks. If interested, some of the time could be spent helping feed our livestock & getting involved with other croft jobs! In exchange we would invite the volunteer/s to stay in our self catering cabin (photo attached, or you can view it by searching Am Bothan, North Uist), and if you are interested in learning some gàidhlig, Keith and his parents are fluent speakers. In your spare time you will have plenty oppo...

We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducksIn addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few me...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. UPDATE: Volunteer needed in March-early April 2026 to help clear a pasture from big wild bushes and chop wood. Hello. I’m Paul, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for calm-natured volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I a...

We are Axel and Mônica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Our community is a colorful, international bunch of nice people, with Austrian, Middle Eastern, Polish, and German roots and many international friends from all over the world. Feri (43) and Lise (50) currently live here permanently. The children, Layla (12) and Aisha (10), visit us regularly on weekends and during holidays. Natalia (30) and her two children, Maja (11) and Damian (7), also come by from time to time when they are not traveling in their camper van. Feri's cousins visit us regularly to enjoy time together and prepare delicious oriental food! We also have many other visitors (friends, helpers, and family) from all over the world. We have a big family and a lot of friends who come from all over the world to visit. We sometimes have family events and could use an extra hand getting things ready—whether that's preparing rooms or other bits and pieces. Don't worry, we don't have paying guests; all our visitors are family and friends. We're living the dream here in Lower Austr...

We are Tristan and Jesse, a young couple in the Pétite-Nation of Québec, with dreams of a Nordic style permaculture orchard, sheep and lamb production, with a long term goal of eventually offering "glamping/agrotourism." When the opportunity to buy and revive a historic farm came at the beginning of the pandemic, we scooped it up and chose to start the journey! Our project is still in the infant stages, with lots of renovation and repair to our historic barn and maintainting our 140 year old farmhouse. We have a pony and a Norwegian Fjord horse that we have started draft training to eventually replace the use of a tractor in the fields and for riding lessons, free range chickens, sheep breeding for meat and wool, maple syrup, wild mushroom and medicinal plant foraging, as well as a personal garden in the form of veggies, fruits, herbs, and medicinal flowers and teas... plus our awesome cats and our dog, Merlyn! We love to work with people who are: *motivated and positive! *animal an...

My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. If ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Hello, my partner John & I, have had a wonderful time sharing our home with volunteers. We now have a vacancy from February 21st, to march 3rd. short or longer stays are welcome from April. We live as a family & enjoy many things together, with our volunteers, many of whom have become lasting friends. We live in a 4 bed modern dormer bungalow, in a beautiful village, with a shop & bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. We live with my father, who is 89 years old and has moderate memory loss. My father has Carer’s visiting 3 times a day, to help him shower & take him out for a drive. Volunteers are not involved in my fathers personal care, but My father loves extra company with volunteers, so that he doesn’t feel lonely. My father does like to have volunteers there, to watch television with him, so that he’s not alone & he enjoys helping volunteers improve their English pronunciation. I also need help with keeping the house clean & simple vegetarian cooking. We enjoy sharin...

Our property is located on the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park. We are about 2km from the township of Wentworth Falls, 4km from Leura and 6km from Katoomba, so best suited to those who have their own transport. It is our family home but we also let our Gatehouse out through Airbnb (you can view this from the website link). Our property is comprised of a couple of acres of garden, some paddocks and the rest is bush. We have a dog and a few chickens. We are also beekeepers. We are close to some excellent walks and we have a couple of mountain bikes available. We are currently looking for help with gardening, cleaning, animal care, renovation work and meal prep. Please note that we eat meat. If you are vegetarian, you need to tell us in advance, so we can plan accordingly. Work is very flexible depending on the weather and what needs to be done, but we generally aim to do a few hours in the morning and have afternoons free. Length of stay is usually a week or 2, with the possi...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

Sorry, I don't have any availability at the moment. Hello. My name is Vanessa and I live in a large home in Fremantle, Western Australia. My home is across the street from a park and is walking distance to the centre of Fremantle (cafes, restaurants, bars and a market) and a 5 minute drive to the beach. I have a dog and a cat. I work full time and sometimes have to travel for my work. If you stay here, you would have your own room, bathroom and a small sitting area. You would share the kitchen and laundry with me. The help I need is with my animals, including feeding. Walking my dog also but mostly company for her. So if you were at home part of each day that is important. I would also like some help with house cleaning and some garden work. Possibly also some cooking. I have a little bit of conversational french and am happy to help you with your language skills and also helping you find work if that is what you would like to do. I prefer just one person at a time coming to sta...

An off-grid organic project in a stunning location, We’re currently completing a rainwater catchment system and doing some renovation projects around the farm, as well as routine work like firewood gathering and tree pruning. The work is hands-on and varied, and we usually work together for about 4-5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. If we’re having fun with a project, we might keep going a bit longer! We’ll be starting some earthen floors soon. The weather in winter can be a bit cool, sometimes wet but often warm and dry, which makes working outside pretty enjoyable. You’ll stay in a small bedroom with two beds at the farm, or possibly in a separate room near the house. If our rainwater storage runs out, we will have to drive to collect our water from the village 3km away, so we’re really mindful about water use. I like to cook and share meals, so will provide some basic, mostly vegetarian, food, but not every meal and snack. Torvizcon is the village close by with everything you migh...

Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is a private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cats, dogs, one registered ...

We need helpers from end of February 2026 for three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well.

We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM THE BEGINNING OF MARCH. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, ...

Our volunteers have an awesome time, with lots of really great home cooked food and fresh produce, and use of our guest facilities such as our commercial Coffee Machine, horse riding, hot tub, fully equipped gym, pool, outdoor adventure activities, zip lines, basketball, volleyball, scenic lookouts, bonfires, etc. We are located in a beautiful setting surrounded by over 20 thousand acres of National Park, and have lots of native animals on site. We are a non-profit Christian camp & conference centre located just 2 hours south of Sydney on 300 spectacular acres in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW. We have been established for over 30 years. Each year we host camps for schools, scouts, youth, church and community groups. Several thousand guests stay here each year, and we often have volunteers staying with us who often stay friends for life and come back again and again. We are seeking a small number of volunteers to help us in exchange for food, accommodation & use of our...
