We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

We are full up now for the summer, but we can still welcome volunteers from September for 4+ weeks stays. We are a clifftop ecological microfarm on a quarter acre at the westernmost tip of the stunning Beara peninsula in West Cork, Ireland. We have a large family garden that sells small amounts on the side, and our project for 2026 has been to turn it into a larger market-gardening business focused on salad-vegetable production. There is always loads of sowing, planting, weeding, harvesting, and prepping to be done! As well as wheelbarrowing in manure every week and making and turning compost heaps so it really helps if you are strong. We also have a massive wood pile that needs chopping if you would like the exercise (but no pressure). My background is in biology and organic horticulture, so if you want to learn about bio-intensive market gardening, geek out about soil biology, and gain some experience on a tiny scale, I am happy to share all I know. At the same time, we are fixin...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

Me and my friends live in neighbouring fields in the beautiful beach village of Mirtos. We are Katerine, Marco and Yvonne. We can also communicate in Greek but it isn't on the language list!!!! :-) September-October only for campers (in our caravan, a tent or your own van) (see below) We have different projects that we are looking to guide volunteers and helpers with, depending on which season we are. From September/ October on we'll mainly do gardening work and house building. In November we'll do additionally the olive harvest. We are building a small pallet-clay-straw house which will be my home here. From September/ October on we'll go on to plaster the house with clay/lime and do other things in the house. Also we'll do some gardening work: the plan is to create a beautiful, permaculture based oasis around the pallet house. This needs some work, since the field lied fallow for a long time. We are happy for ideas and helpers! Also there is always work on our fields like pruning, ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

My name is Paul. About 17 years ago I had this slightly crazy dream of changing my life from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer in the Swedish countryside. Somehow, 17 years later, here we are :) Norrängens is our 100-acre farm just outside Sala, about an hour from Stockholm. We have around 70 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, rabbits, a turkey, my cat Sexy, the kids’ cat Vernon and Malta, our farm dog. I have three children, Liam (22), Dylan (13) and Oscar (10). Liam has grown up and moved away from home. Dylan and Oscar live between me and their mum, although sometimes they seem to spend more time here :) When they’re here they’re part of farm life and help out when they can. This is our home and our little family as well as being a farm. Things are quite different here from a few years ago. We used to run a much bigger and busier tourism operation. These days things are smaller and quieter. The economy has been a bit of a struggle, if I’m honest, and this y...

Hello everyone!!! Namaste! This is an organic farm & retreat center located in the Himalayan foothills. We offer unique spiritual pilgrimages, organic food (as much as possible except when there are instances that we cannot produce our own), agricultural farming classes, tantra yoga, sound healing, Chandi mantra chanting & meditation courses. - I am Shree Krishna Shrestha, the owner of this lovely farm and I live here with my 57 year old wife, Sarita Shrestha and our 22 year old daughter who has recently returned back home from studying abroad. I also have two sons who live with their families about 30 minutes far in the town below our village. I have been doing silent meditation for about 5-6 years now and plan to do 4 more years during which I choose not to speak, communicate through text messages or signs, eat a vegetarian diet with no salt mainly consisting of our own cow milk, yogurt, roti/chapati and boiled potatoes. Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

We are an elderly couple living in a large house at the head of Lochcarron in the Scottish Highlands. Access is by road or by train where guests can be met. We enjoy visits from friends and relations. Many enjoy hill walking locally and on the Isle of Skye nearby. Our hobbies/occupations are propagation of plants and beekeeping, collecting, cutting chopping and stacking of wood for stoves. Guests with an interest in gardening and general maintenance or general housework would be great. The house is about 2 km away from the village which has 2 general stores and three cafes. There is a 9 course golf course and a sailing club. Of interest there are many garden birds as well as nesting barn owls and eagles on the hill, red and roe deer and pine martens. Red squirrels have been re-introduced locally.

Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during the summer (2026) for a 2 week period, maybe longer. We cannot offer any work until September. I will talk about what we need help with first. We have a variety of activities both outside and in the garage in spring, and autumn. At the moment, one important focus is for a person or a couple with the necessary building skills to build gate posts using reclaimed bricks..There is also olive picking and pruning and the clean up after the pruning. These are jobs for autumn or early spring. As summer starts earlier and is hotter we have few options in summer. You could plan ahead to join us for the olive harvest in October. Picking is three days intensive work followed by a two day break. But be aware, we do work all day during picking. In addition, if you can use a heavy motorised strimmer or other form of cutter there are other jobs available but they require strength. There are always jobs to do and we enjoy being active and working along with our helpers. Although as we get older it’s harder to keep up with our young helpers. Spring a...

Not available from OCTOBER 2026 to APRIL 2027 Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly...

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a dog and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day (six days a week), you will receive free accommodation, continental breakfast and dinner (please provide your own lunch and snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found their way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for a...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

I am a creative person living in Mumbai (Bombay) , India, I grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience working on farms, cities and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences, Indian deeper roots, religious, spiritual and positivity through life. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. 👉🏼 For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. 👉🏼 My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era. And proud to be part of it as its time to deconstruct what we constructed just in few decades. Our place sits high on a hill with spectacular 360 degree views of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and city lights overlooking all of Albury/Wodonga, twin cities on the Murray River. We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience. We have been a host farm for over 18 years now with well over 250 helpers having stayed. Usually it is only a one to two week stay but that is negotiable depending on how much work there is and how well we all get on. Sometimes I will accept ...

We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, etc. Also, Sally is involved in a house-reorganize project for her 89 year old mother that she would love help with. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom with shower to use on the lower level of our home. We are helping at a festival in Seattle's center and we would love some help with this. If you are interested, join us. It is a lot of fun at the city center, right by the iconic Space Needle. It is "Croatiafest" - you can look it up and learn more. We have two "kids", 25 and 27, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! W...

Caring House-Sitter & Kitten Companion Needed (28 Sept – 8 Oct). About Us & The Property: We are experienced HelpX hosts with a history of welcoming fantastic international helpers (and glowing reviews to match!). We live on a beautiful property with established gardens and fruit trees on the Kapiti Coast. We are looking for a trustworthy, mature individual or couple to house-sit and keep our home running smoothly for 10 days, from 28 September to 8 October. The Role & Responsibilities This host role is unique and focuses primarily on presence, peace of mind, and light daily care rather than heavy physical labour: • Property & Pet Care: Feed, entertain, and care for our two energetic 5-month-old kittens. • Independent Family Presence: My active 92-year-old mother lives independently in her own self-contained cottage on the property. She manages her own daily routine, but we are looking for sitters who offer a warm, reassuring presence nearby and are comfortable being on-site in case o...

We have a lot of visitors right now and can not take any helpx We (Brett, retired carpenter and IT manager, and Mandy, retired glass blower) are a stones throw from a beautiful surf/fishing/swimming beach that is visible from the property and a short walk for amazing swimming. It is one of New Zealands best surf beaches and in a beautiful part of the east coast, the first place in the world to see the sunrise and off the tourist track. Closet town north of us is Tolaga bay, 30mins away with it's famous (in newZealand) wharf and Cooks cove walk which you can also do from our beach. Closest city is Gisborne, 50 minutes away, which is known for growing citrus fruit, surfing and it's (usually) great climate. Our property is nestled in a very small community of 11 houses and tucked between 2 farms. We all share fruit and homemade preserves as well as fish. Our section is 3/4 of an acre, and full of fruit and ornamental trees with olive trees and amazing views all around You will have pl...

Hi everyone! We have a beautiful property a short walk/drive away from a gorgeous New Zealand beach. We live 45 minutes from Hamilton and 20-25 minutes from Raglan. Our area is very remote - we have some neighbours but there are no shops here or public transport, just farmland. So if you enjoy being away from cities and people then this is the place for you! Our property suits people who enjoy the outdoors and surfing, hiking, walking, animals, solitude. There is a beautiful mountain right by our house for hiking, great surfing and fishing in the area, and Raglan (a little over 20 minutes away) which is a vibrant and energetic little beach town with world famous surf. This exchange is for accommodation only. We have a cabin with a big bed and beautiful views of the farmland and mountain and sea. There is a kitchenette for you to keep and cook your own food. The bathroom is about 20 metres away from the cabin and it is a composting toilet with shower that does the job but is gravity-f...

Hello travellers. Currently looking for someone or Possibly a couple who can help with garden work and a bit of exterior maintenance stuff. We have a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy and are in need of some extra help around the place. We have a lifestyle block with friendly horses, sheep, a cat, and a dog that would all love your attention (and the same goes for the garden). Our place is located really close to Christchurch (about 15 minutes from CBD). About the work, light gardening, looking after/moving animals, and some indoor jobs if it is raining. We would really value your help. In general it will be around 20 hours per week for free accommodation in your own self contained apartment. It has its own kitchen so you will be feeding yourself. I also run a small Campervan company and may be able to offer some paid work through this company if you have a working visa. About us. We are a small family with Leni 4, Fred 2 and myself (James) 34. plenty of references from tra...

My family started this farm in 1991 with the dream of being o...
