Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens only 40 minutes from Hobart, and operate for only 3 days a week. A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. Your Help can be in the restaurant, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out! I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences.. Cheers, Mike

Kia ora If you'd like to work amongst trees and flowers, stay in a cute cabin with a beautiful view and private verandah, swim in a pool and eat home-cooked meals, you might like a week's stay at Apata Gardens. We have a small flower farm in the sunny Bay of Plenty, between Tauranga and Katikati. The flower farm is set amongst the trees of our two-acre property, which has spectacular views out to sea and across to the Kaimai ranges. My husband has a small olive grove, we have a wide range of fruit trees and grow seasonal vegetables. Our little guest cottage (see the photos) has a bedroom, bathroom and private verandah, and we provide all your meals. We also have a swimming pool. If you have some gardening, horticulture, landscaping or similar experience, or would like to learn, we'd love you to come and stay with us. We are looking for help in our garden - jobs like edging garden beds, applying mulch, pruning shrubs, hand weeding and using a weed eater. Also, I'm happy to share ...

A beach front section. Kayaking, body boarding, swimming and fishing available for guests. Accommodation and meals provided in exchange for four hours work a day. Gardening, housework, general household maintenance and painting could be requested. My preference is for people to stay a week. Taupo Bay is quite a small community and no public transport is available so it is often easier to have your own transport. Certainly not essential as arrangements can be made for collection and support to get to your next destination. I can collect people from the end of the Taupo Bay road or Mangonui. Many thanks for looking. Fran

URGENT! Due to a sudden cancellation we need a volunteer for FEBRUARY ! Needs to arrive by about February 9th and minimum stay 10 days. Need a valid international driving permit. The volunteers have use of an automatic car. * * * * My husband and I are Buddhist priests, running a 450 year old Pure Land Buddhist temple in the mountains of Kyushu. My husband is the 17th generation priest of our family temple. We are busy with the temple and our family and need help with gardening, cleaning, cooking, laundry and lots lots more. We have a luxury Lodge for overnight stays and need help with bed making and cleaning. We also want the helper to walk our Labrador dog, who is big, very enthusiastic but is a complete softy. We only have the one dog, who is NOT tied up. He is outside in a dog-run during the day and inside the house at night. If you are nervous around dogs, they can sense that and become nervous too. Our Labrador is absolutely no problem and plays with our young grandch...

🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

We will not need any more helpers until after 20 February 2026 ******** We are a retired couple, but very active and busy. As a result, we are struggling to keep up with tasks like weeding our vegetable garden, lawn mowing, other simple garden maintenance and light housework & house maintenance. We would greatly appreciate anyone who could help with any of these tasks - and even cook a little if you enjoy doing that. We live in a beautiful and accessible part of the Adelaide Hills. We often see and hear koalas in the trees around us, we are just a few minutes drive from Mt. Lofty and Cleland Conservation Park and the Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and a 15 minute drive from the lovely tourist village of Hahndorf. There are also many walking trails including the Heysen Trail virtually on our doorstep. Don't be surprised if you see colourful parrots in our trees or eating from our birdfeeder almost every day. We also have a very friendly small dog! The city of Adelaide is just a 20...

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES Please do NOT request to come and stay with us IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HANDLING HORSES. If you do not state your horse handling/riding experience, then I know you have not read my profile. We are a family of 4 who live on a property in the hills situated approximately 40 mins drive from Perth C.B.D. We have many horses. All are thoroughbreds and used for playing Polo. At this time of year we need help (aprox. 4hrs daily) to help prepare the horses for the upcoming polo season. This includes yard maintenance, handling young horses, feeding, and working and possibly riding young horses. Later in the polo season, there may be a possibility of paid work for a some helpers who may wish to stay for a longer period of time. (We are NOT able to supply second year WHV). If you are a competent rider, it may be possible to go on bush rides where you will be able to see lots of native wildlife. We have a lot of fun and a lot of ...

We have an island retreat in Nelson (near Motueka) on 10 acres and a home in central Nelson. There is plenty to do with weeding, taking care of the garden and cutting grass. Our beach house, near Motueka is on a small island. The ideal helper(s) is self sufficient, detail oriented and a self starter. Our island retreat is about 100 metres off Port Motueka, then another kilometre along the beach, facing Tasman bay and across from the Abel Tasman National Park. Our home in central Nelson is a 5 minute walk from down town. The work consists of gardening and general housekeeping. An average of about 3 hours work per day is sufficient. Recommend a week stay or more because of the logistics of getting you there and showing you around etc. It is an "off the grid" solar home. There is a limited wifi that is sufficient for email, and internet. We will supply some but not all food. (depends on the situation) We usually have potatoes, oats, and bread and all condiments and coffee as...

Hi there :) we are looking for someone to give us a hand over the last week of school holidays from somewhere around the 23rd of January till about the 1st of January. We both are going to be back at work but work opposite rosters so we need a hand with looking after Rosalie and Mateo (both 9). If you are interested please reach out. We are looking forward to hearing from you. Here a little more about us: We are vegetarian but pretty open to all kind of different dishes. You should be good with kids but no need for any experience as long as you are open and happy to read some books or craft some cool things. Rosalie and Mateo are pretty open to people and love to listen to stories and music, they love chatting and showing you around our area. We love it if our helpers help a little around the house. For example, helping to put the dishes away after we had a meal, clean up the kitchen with us and vacuum every now and then. If you like cooking you are very welcome to prepare dinn...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. STOP PRESS - NOW LOOKING FOR HELPERS FROM 17 JANUARY ONWARDS... We have a beautiful property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely after its 4 year renovation build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The next adventure will be to turn this into a funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer and eagle.. See our Airbnb listing with over 60 photos via our website link below. Generally we look for Helpxers to help with the gardening and house cleaning. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) We just had some planned helper...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. An awesome 2 bedroom settlers cottage, which was built in the 1860s. It ...

Hello from the beautiful Dandenong Ranges of Melbourne! Please note - we won’t need any helpers until April 1, 2026 due to the fire season. You specifically need DIY hands on knowledge with basic carpentry, building and power tools. You will need to know how to use a drop saw, a chainsaw, a drill and an angle grinder. We have lots of projects to complete. Please do not apply if you do not know how to use power tools! We also need strength to move some large logs to create a dam. I am a self-employed ARTIST in a very colourful home. I have 2 dogs, 4 chickens, 6 goats and 2 lovely human flatmates. EXPECTATIONS Enthusiastic, trustworthy English-speaking helpers who enjoy a laugh, practical and can work INDEPENDENTLY. There are several varied DIY projects on the go. Most of the work is outside, you need to be physically fit and prepared for manual labour. I look forward to hearing from travellers who can help with limited instructions, unsupervised and have a passion for gardening, f...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We have been traveling and are back with new ideas and enthusiasm. The cold and wet has set in but that doesn't stop us too much around here. When the sun is out it's crisp and beautiful. We are still working on our new shed. The trees are down and the digger has done its thing and there is a flat pad ready for planning the build. There are even new glow worms already moved in on the banks. Most of the weeds and scrub is now cleared and the trees are being planted. There is still cleanup work to do and gathering the wood that has been stacked in the forest. In otehr parts of the forest there are tracks to build and paths to find, there are two more waterfalls to finalise a track to but our favorite glow worm site now has a path with stairs! Now we can build seats and river crossings. There is always adventures for any that want to get lost in the bush on a nice day and clear a path. Closer to the house we are keen to create new gardens so there is planning, digging, styling, maybe som...

Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are looking for an individual that can assist in our family beekeeping business. There will be a variety of roles, shed work and assisting with the beekeeping. You will not work directly with the bees, mostly opening and closing the beehives, lifting honey boxes/buckets, driving quad bike. You must be fit as there is a heavy lifting (20kg+) involved. Lifting and caring full honey boxes would be the main job this time of the year. Cleaning and tidying. Own room, bathroom, internet access and food is provided. You must not have an allergy to bee stings.

Looking for assistance from late March and through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des sensa...

Accommodation is in your own warm and cosy cabin with a bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster (just a few metres from the house). Lots of lovely walks nearby. All meals provided (healthy, tasty and nutritious) and in exchange, we'd like some help with gardening and perhaps a bit of painting and cleaning (4 hours per day, and the day off on Sundays 🙂) The town centre has a library, large supermarket, farmer's market, banks, post office, pharmacy, gift shops and cafes and bars etc. Biking distance to the beach (3 kms) and local wineries.

Namaste! My name is Dipendra, I’m a 28 year old Nepali man with a passion for nature, culture, and sharing the beauty of my country. I’ve been working in trekking and guiding for many years, and now I invite you to be part of our simple, peaceful life in the countryside of Nepal. No special skills are needed, just a good heart and willingness to connect. In addition to the homestay experience, I also love to take guests on short treks and nature walks in the beautiful hills and forests near our village.
