We are a family run home, perfect for the 1st time volunteer. Natural horsemanship is a real factor here if you want to learn more. Our mentors being Buck Brannaman, Steve Halfpenny and Ken Falkner. A safe environment for your 1st time away from home. You do not need any knowledge of horses but you do need to love dogs, they are a major part of the family and are constantly with us all 8 of them, dalmations, vizslas and 2 weimararners, and they do jump all over you. Constant appaloosas is a small holding where we breed and train horses for ourselves and occasionally others. We have help exchange programs running throughout the year for interested students of all ages. Vet students get a really good grounding here. What we expect from you, conduct yourself in an open and friendly manner, engage in all aspects of life on the farm and seize all opportunities with enthusiasm, avoid rude and disrespectful behaviour to people horses and dogs. Basically show respect to people and our home,...

Our “hacienda” was founded in 1995. Initially, it was just a converted farmhouse with a donkey stable. Five years ago, a horse stable with three horses was added. For almost two years now, there has been a small comprehensive school next to the stable. Our horse pensioners had a lot of bad luck at the beginning of the year. Due to illness and a fatal fall, the two ladies are extremely limited in their stable and horse care duties. But spring is just around the corner and there is a lot to do in the garden, the fruit orchard, and on the farm. This includes maintaining the paddock, the paddock trail, and the fence. The fruit trees and hedges around the farm also need to be pruned. Our three horses, the donkey, and our dog are always present during all the work and do their best to be involved. ;-) Please write to us if you have any questions. We look forward to getting to know you.

Hi! I'm looking for someone who can do some domestic repairs and minor renovations at home. It would also be great to have someone with electrical skills, an electrician by trade would be great! You'll be working 2,5 hours a day (Monday to Friday) in exchange for accommodation and breakfast. You will have your own private bedroom, linen provided, access to laundry, etc. Grocery stores and a big supermarket nearby. My flat is in a quiet neighbourhood near the mountain but only 15 min. from downtown. Smoking or heavy drinking not allowed in the flat, but occasional light drinking is no problem. As for the work, you can organize it as you like: work a little every day or maybe you want to work full time and then have the rest of the days off so you may have plenty of time to explore the city and surroundings. There's a lot to do and see in Barcelona and I want you to enjoy your time here. I am very flexible and quite laid back, but the work must be done. If you're travelling in...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM EARLY APRIL.. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. We live a simple but calm lush tropical Darwin suburban house, right near the beach, a corner shop, and a few hundred metres from buses that take 10 or 15 minutes to the city. There is are vibrant weekend Asian food markets on the weekends close by. We normally prefer people to stay for 5 days to a week. We are open to longer stays as well . There is unlimited wireless internet and a big new pool to cool off in . Our attitude is relaxed and easy-going but lifestyle is quite varied with busy periods, so guests need to be fairly flexible and self-sufficient, able to cook their own meals, etc if needed, and have few demands. We generally go to bed reasonably early as we have two children. We offer our hospitality in exchange for 4 hours work per day with meals, dishes, housecleaning, gardening, house repairs, painting, etc to assist us in getting things done. Come and check out Darwin!

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Rang...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We live in a Christian community, meeting regularly for prayer, worship and bible study so most of our volunteers share our Christian faith. We are a residential provider of outdoor activities, owned and operated by a small charity. For most of the year we host visiting groups which come to enjoy a range of activities in the beautiful setting of the Scottish Highlands. We are located 2 hours north of Glasgow, the nearest town being Fort William, surrounded by mountains and lochs scenery. There are good road and rail connections to reach us. Volunteers working with us help with cleaning the centre, serving meals, indoor and outdoor maintenance and some grounds work. Life at the centre is quite structured, with a weekly rota and daily task lists to follow. Volunteers are asked to work between 4 and 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. When not engaged in centre duties there are opportunities for volunteers to join in organised activities alongside our groups or to explore the area. V...

My home is tucked into the peaceful lakeside community of Lake Ōkāreka, surrounded by native bush, birdsong, and some of the most beautiful walking tracks in the Rotorua region. It’s a calm, welcoming space with easy access to the lake for swimming, paddleboarding, and sunrise or sunset strolls. Guests often say the mix of nature, quiet, and friendly local energy makes it an ideal place to unwind while still feeling connected. I have a spare room with a double bed and a single mattress under the stairs (Harry Potter vibes). I’m looking for easy‑going, respectful guests who are happy to contribute 1 to 2 hours per day to gardening, conversation work, or light cleaning in exchange for accommodation. Nothing too intense, just the kind of tasks that help keep the place tidy and the garden thriving. If I'm not working, I will help with the tasks. I'm involved with a local conservation group, working to remove invasive trees and plants to protect our native bush. If you’re curious about eco...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens. Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Back in times ... back to nature Hi there. We are a family of ... well, at least 4 people plus our cat, goat, sheep, bees, hens and roosters. In the spring of 2023, we finally found a place to call our home. Even though it is at the beginning of a longer process of being beautiful, cosy, lovable, ... We put ourselves into a challenge of living here, even in harsh conditions as they are here at this point: - It's in a remote place with only 1 close neighbour (@ 30 m from us). The other families live approx. 400 and 600m away, and others are even further away. - No running water yet. But there is a spring not so far away from where we get water, and we filter for drinking or just use it for washing dishes/clothes or ourselves (outside). And also a well. - People who previously lived (I wouldn't be afraid of saying 'squated') here left an unbelievable mess and enormous quantities of trash. So much so that it was hard to enter the house. We are slowly cleaning the place and separati...

We own a 550 ha sheep and beef farm in South Otago. A location which is approximately 45mins from the Catlins and 2 hours to Queenstown. We have both travelled and love meeting new people from different cultures. After a couple of years away from hosting some helpers (We now have a beautiful son called Harri and more recently Hudson joined the family) we are hoping to share our lifestyle, stories and good food again. Running such a large farm is a great challenge and can be rather demanding. This is where you guys can be very helpful when we need extra hands. We are currently after a couple or single person to help out with jobs such as stacking and splitting wood, tidying up around house and farm etc. We also have a canopy camping hut that’s rented out so there maybe an opportunity to stay there and enjoy the outdoor bath and also help with cleaning and setting up for guests. https://canopycamping.co.nz/harris-hut You'll be fuelled by great farm food (lots of home farmed meat) Accomo...

We are Axel and Mônica (both 52). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers in April/May 2026 for more or less three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

I am a retired man from Germany 71 years old, living with my 2 dogs on lovely Orange Garden, West Coast of Peloponese. Most of the work will involve gardening, like planting, pruning, harvesting oranges and olives. Other work includes tidying up the place, general household chores, painting building and maintenance of the 8 bungalows I rent to tourists. I ask for 4-5 hours a day, 1 or 2 days free for your own. Low season helpers can use a bungalow for accommodation. You might cater for yourself or join me for meals. WiFi internet is available. Ideally volunteers would be over 25 years, have some knowledge of general maintenance and gardening. The bus stop is 500m from home, the 70km beach of Kyparissia Kolpos is about 2,5km. See my homepage. I am fluent in German, English and Greek. I am looking forward to your visit.

Hi, we Helmut (63) and Claudia (60) are just about to redesign our habitat. We might need help from talented or interested travellers. You should like animals. We have 3 horses a dog and 2 cats. For the past 20 years we were running a small seminar house, a holiday apartment, a trailriding station and an osteopathic practice on a former business. On our plot a neighbourhood housing project with 4-5 housing units is almost finished. At the moment we need help to create a cosy and nice surrounding, which means you can help us with trimming the surrounding bushes and trees or plant flowers, help us in sorting out and cleaning our garage. Also if you are talented in outdoor decoration, we are happy to listen to new ideas. Maybe you also feel like walking with the dog, helping in the stable and pasture or sawing wood. There is always something to do arround the house and the maintenance of the property. We do also appreciate it very much if someone likes to cook our meals. We would like to...

Spring/Summer season in Swedish Lapland 🇸🇪 ________________________________________________________ I'm a German woman (59) and I'm living in Swedish Lapland since 8 years and working as a nurse. I'm looking for a dogsitter while I'm at work. My 4 Huskies enjoy hiking in the spring/summer and taking a bath in the lake or river close by. They get fed twice a day and the kennel need to be kept clean. Cuddlings are always very welcome. I would be happy to cook together and keep the house clean. It would be a great pleasure if you are a handyman, carpenter and /or electrician, but it's not a "must". What can you do here? Hiking in the beautiful forest area with the dogs. Bicycling or renting a canoe from my next neighbor (3 km away). And when I have days off from work, we can do things together a little further away or visiting some friends. If you are traveling by car you are of course more flexible on site. Otherwise it's easy to travel by plane or train. The minimum st...

We live on the Whangaroa Harbour, half an hour north of Kerikeri. There`s no road to our property. We come and go by boat. We can pick you up from Kaeo or Kerikeri and bring you home, or if you're driving, we will meet you at Ota Point on the harbour. We have kayaks to explore the harbour or to fish from. The fishing is some of the best in New Zealand. Our home is at the water’s edge nestled above the mangroves. The work is mostly gardening and a little housework. Carpenters/builders/people handy with tools are especially needed but all are welcome. Guests are asked to work four hours one day and then three hours the next day and cook an evening meal (we provide ingredients). We relish dishes from elsewhere. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or serious dislikes. We have internet access available. A week to begin with is ideal. Longer stays often happen from there. We host because we enjoy making friends and the work becomes easier and more p...

We ALWAYS need some able bodied helpers with assist with goat feeding and some light garden maintenance on my son's farm.. I have loved planting a garden there for them as they are so busy developing their beautiful farm. We favour couples with their own transport if possible. Our son and his family have a small mixed farm of 60 acres nearby (approx 25 hectares) which they are tirelessly working on to develop it as a farm stay with miniature cattle and goats, chickens, two riding horses, ducks and guinea fowl. etc. along with an abundance of local birds and animals. We put his Instagram and Facebook links below. There are a multitude of small jobs needing to done, attending to the animals welfare as well as in the developing garden. The work is not hard with small weeds etc needing to be removed, easy work but rewarding. You will be housed and fed at our home in Coffs Harbour and do one full days work (usually 6-7 hours) at our house or on the farm and have the next day off to exp...

You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post off...

We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property. We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season. In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.  We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our yac...

Open for helpers from mid February until mid December. Not outside this period. Small farm without any farming since the land is rented out, but the forest is maintained by me. Also have a vegetable garden and berry bushes and lots of machines like tractors, ATV, snowmobile etc. I have 2 sons that are visiting regularly. Tasks can be gardening, carpentry, painting houses, general house work or forest work. Also might need mechanical help with machines.
