AS FROM END FEBRUARY / MARCH 2026 we are looking for motivated and cheerful people to join us for various projects around our property. During EARLY SPRING (FEBRUARY โ€“ MARCH) we mainly need help with PAINTING JOBS, GARDEN PRUNING, HEDGE TRIMMING AND GENERAL CLEANING to prepare the house and garden for the new season. In SPRING & SUMMER (APRIL โ€“ AUGUST) we are also looking for people to help with GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING (CLEANING, IRONING) as well as some LIGHT GARDEN WORK SUCH AS WEEDING AND WATERING PLANTS. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our end fifties, we speak several languages: French, Dutch, English and a bit of Spanish. Our region, the LOT-ET-GARONNE, is a beautiful rural area full of history, located between Bordeaux and Toulouse. In summer, it becomes lively and festive with local food markets, concerts and medieval fairs. Our home lies on the edge of a small village, surrounded by 18 hectares of nature along the riverside. We pre...

We need volunteers for lambing season until end of May/beginning of June. Come help us lamb all of our sheep and experience the wonders of life! Assist over 500 sheep in giving birth and bottle feed tiny little lambs and all the other disgusting and cute things that go along with it. Lambing season is hard work and we work in shifts of 8 hours, but with 7-10 volunteers living in the house youโ€™ll have time for fun in the sun, 2 days off each week with a household shift (cooking and cleaning). Lambing truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a great opportunity to learn about farming, sheep, and Iceland in general. The shifts are long, the days are longer, but a rewarding and satisfying experience is waiting for you! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year ! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message (here, on WhatsApp or Instagram caroline.lsgt). You can also message Beggi (the...

This is a comfortable and pleasant homestead, at the border between la Corrรจze and le Lot, in the heart of the valley of the Dordogne. We are working on food resilience and improvement of our environment. If you come and join us, you'll meet one lanky Lithuanian, one over-enthusiastic French-American, their one year old baby, and their very smart cat. There is a variety of things to do, lots of walking up and down a relatively steep slope - so not for out of shape people (or perfect for people who wish to get in shape). Weโ€™re in the process of recreating a Machu Picchu type of landscape, although the slope is not that steepโ€ฆ Weโ€™re working on reaching good food resilience and experiment with all kinds of growing methods. The valley of Dordogne is in the words of Henry Miller, a fervently mystical corner of the world : the place where poets will be born again when the cities will have killed then off. Also a nice spot to go down the river in a canoe, swim in it, rock climb, ride a ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karatรฉ (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hi everyone. My name's Claud I'm a beekeeper and a horse trainer I live on a small island south of Greece called Kythira. The island is full of beautiful beaches and green small forests. I owe nearly 100 beehives and I need help maintaining the equipment and taking care of them. I also help a friend ride and train and take care of his horses. I'm constantly busy and almost always not at home. Ideally I would need help for a few hours a day. I have a car we can share if you have a driving licence. So you can explore around. Or I can be your guide in my free time.

Hi, Iโ€™m Annie :) Thanks for stopping by! Looking for help *** from now through February/ March , 1 wk - 10 days work for a couple *** At the moment I'm looking for help with Spring cleaning in the house and garden work; mulching, light pruning, fertlising, tidying up garden and some indoor/ outdoor house work. Mostly this would be cleaning spider webs off gutters, garden maintenance and window/ blind cleaning, cleaning out pantry, kitchen cupboards, cleaning oven, etc. It would be useful is someone was confident with a drill and some very basic carpentry work, to hang some outdoor ornaments. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Besides having a few rooms available, there're also 2 campervans if you have the desi...

We extend a warm invitation to join us on our farm this spring. We have availability from March into April โ€” a beautiful time of year here, when everything is waking up again and the island feels full of fresh energy. Please inquire for availability during other times of the year. Itโ€™s a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. Weโ€™re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. Thereโ€™s always plenty to learn and experience here, and weโ€™re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, weโ€™d be very happy to host you and if you already have some farm experience or any prior experience with ponies/horses we especially welcome you! We look forward to warmly welcoming you! *** Availability in March*** We welcome everybody howev...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Bonjour ร  tous !

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ! I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it. We live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 15 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. I live with my partner Mel and daughters Kenzie (4yrs ) and Emmie (1yr). We are looking for 2 people to help. We require 1 person to help on the farm and 1 person to help watch our daughters :) You will have your own room, food supplied, Internet and washing machine. We can pick you up from Masterton. I have travelled a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I think a travelling experience is most enjoyable when a local shows you the local sites, cultures and attractions. I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I enjoy being host and enhancing their NZ experience. And when I visit them they do the same for me. Alex, Mel, Kenzie & Emmie

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. We've been part of Helpx for several years now and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we still keep in touch with. We live in York, in the north of England, where we have a garden and (a 10 minute walk away) an allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables. We try to cultivate using the `no-dig` method and like to re-use and recycle wherever possible. Our house has solar panels on the roof for hot water and electricity, as we are keen to reduce our impact on the environment. The work includes turning and spreading compost, making new beds and paths, weeding, seed sowing, planting out, grass cutting and fence painting. From early summer, fruit and vegetables are ready to be harvested and prepared for freezing and conserving. If the weather is bad then there are always jobs to get on with in the house, garage and greenhouse. We can offer all meals, laundry and accommodation, (own bathroom) in return for a helping hand, usually around 4 hours a day, 5/6 days a week, or e...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you!

I would be happy to have a person to help open up the villa in April 2026. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iโ€™m from Ireland and I built the villa on Skopelos in 2008. I t is a two bedroom villa on the island of Skopelos. From May to October. I now live back in Ireland and I come to the island to prepare the villa for the season and to close it up after the season. I am interested in arts and crafts. I love being outdoors, lead an active healthy lifestyle, am friendly open minded and looking forward to meet interesting people who like to help with the villa. Skopelos is on the east coast of Greece and it is one of the greenest islands here. It is not a massive party island, its more laid back and luckily largely unspoilt. It offers many cultural possibilities and to have outdoor experiences such as hiking, mountain biking, swimming, exploring beaches, running, Yoga etc. The island and are...

We are a fun-loving, busy family (father and 3 adult daughters) that run a golf course and have horses as our hobby. It would be great if someone would like to help us look after the golf course -mowing grass - raking bunkers etc. An interest in golf, working outside and being flexible would be appreciated. We could also use some help inside in our bar/cafeteria, serving beer, coffee, cake and washing up etc.. We live 20 mins from Aarhus - the 2nd largest town in Denmark.

We are a Portuguese couple with experience on permaculture and self-sufficient-living that in 2015 got 15ha of abundant land in a beautiful valley and an amazing community at the highest mountains inside the biggest natural park of our country. Rita is a health-food enthusiast and loves to work with different kinds of art-craft. She likes to explore Medicinal plants, Food preservation and fermentation, Hygiene products and teaching Forest School. Walking in the nature, singing with friends and doing yoga are some of the other things she enjoys. Gonรงalo is a nature lover with a passion for Permaculture and Natural Farming. Studied Organic Agronomy and has been practicing it since 2008, with the help of volunteers, interns and apprentices. He enjoys sharing and to make music with friends. Unfortunately in 2017 a massive fire went over this beautiful valley but our yurts didnt burn and all the animals survived, in the same year we were blessed with our first home-birth daughter Dana....

A chance to enjoy the beautiful Outer Hebrides! Our house in Sollas, on the northwest coast of North Uist, has plenty of room and is the ideal base for you to explore the islands. Minutes from the beach, moorlands and lochs, we have lots of wonderful places to discover. You will have your own room, WiFi and a bicycle if you need. All food included. Help needed with light cleaning duties, some gardening and grass cutting, collecting shopping from the store (10 minute walk) and food preparation. It won't be more than 20 hours a week and it's completely flexible, you can enjoy everything the islands have to offer in your free-time. We have some sheep who pretty much take care of themselves, grazing on the croft. You can hopefully see most of what you need to know from the photos. The house is two storeys and has five bedrooms. The only person living there full-time is our grandmother and she just uses the downstairs. Family visit at holidays and some weekends. Our Granny can teach you Gae...

We can use your help for minimally three weeks. At this time we could use the help of someone who likes to cook. You would be of great help if you would cook one vegetarian meal a day (not in the weekends) for the three of us: you, Astrid and Thomas. We have no supermarket at hand for forgotten ingredients, so you have to like it to be creative with what is available. Apart from the cooking, it would be great if you would help with the routine jobs: taking care of the chickens and the sheep, do some pruning, carrying stuff, cleaning, irrigating, harvesting, etc. etc. ======================= Who are we looking for? The helper (in exceptional occasions two) we are looking for likes to live a basic life, and enjoys being outside. Enjoyed nature as a child already? Then you will find our place wonderful. There is some clothing for you but not in all sizes, so please bring your own working clothes, shoes and rainwear. We ask you to help us 25 hours a week. We have helpers since 2010. I...

If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...).

I'm sorry but I can't help with 2nd Year Work Visas. I usually invite Helpers for 1 week and see how it goes. Own vehicle required. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities. Nearby are wild oceans and awesome surf, sleepy bays, beautiful wineries and...

Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Hi, my husband and I live in a beautiful area on a lifestyle farm with our four young kids. We are working on setting up a sustainable lifestyle and there's always something to do! We have beef cows, a milk cow, sheep, goats, chickens, a couple dogs and a producing greenhouse. Would love some help with homesteading, ongoing projects, property maintenance, gardening, and help around the house. If you like your exercise there's a walking track to the top of our property with stunning views at the top. Swimming hole at a beautiful river 5 minutes down the road. Accommodation provided in our family home. You will have your own upstairs sleeping area and a separate toilet. Three healthy meals provided for 4 hours work. We look forward to meeting you!

Tena koe, nau mai, haramai ki Tokomaru Bay, a small, predominately Maori seaside community on the East Coast. We live on a four acre lifestyle block in the peaceful Kaiawha Valley about a two minute drive from the village and the beach. There is a 4 Square Supermarket, a cafe and a tavern in the village. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Most of the work we require is gardening, landscaping, milking cow, feeding animals, preserving food, servicing our Bed and Breakfast (List 1 Historic Places building) firewood, weed eating, mowing and general maintenance. Jan is a teacher at a Kura Kaupapa Maori three days a week and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week.
