A harbor of authenticity, a place for ideas and connections. An oasis of independence in the unceasing quest for self-sufficiency. A botanical garden with many interesting and unexpected varieties, train station 5 min on foot, mount Etna ever on fire, seasonal food, and much more. --- Local produce, traditional food and seeds from your area are very welcome (if possible). --- Consider having kids around (sometimes babysitting) as part of the experience. --- To best organize farm activities let us know always your travel plans and terms of stay. -- Looking for someone with experience in web development and the like to help building our site. -- Are you familiar with beekeeping? Let us know! Hi, my name is Guido and with my family we live in the area where Mount Etna is the closest to the sea. This area is renowned for its unique soil and microclimate; inevitable conditions if you have a three and a half thousand metres volcano to less than ten km from the coast. Our farm consists of ...

Germaine & Bernard eat what they produce as far as it is possible. They have a small vineyard, garden and orchard. Bernard tend a few beehives and is willing to share his passion. This is your opportunity to experience French rural life. They ask to the helpers to do various odd jobs at the property, be communicative and not engrossed in " screen-based activities ", therefore, leaving their " virtual world " behind. The helpers must have the habit to work manualy. They must be interested in their tasks, the people and things that surround them. Here, what is interesting is our nearly self-suffisent lifestyle. Unfortunately, they cannot cater for vegetarians. The hosts speak French and they get by in English. If you meet to these conditions, you will be very welcome. Accomodation at the family house, includes access to these facilities : WIFI internet, TV, DVDs ... Leisure Pursuits available in the area are : canoeing ; rambling ; visits within the region... su...

Where East meets West, halfway between Oslo and Bergen, you’ll find our historic family farm, beautifully situated 750 meters above sea level in the mountain village of Leveld. Surrounded by forests and mountains, this is a special place for anyone who enjoys nature, quiet surroundings, and outdoor life. This summer we are finishing a building project on our mountain chalet, alongside the daily work of running the farm and our tourist cabins. I am responsible for the day-to-day operations, and you will mainly be in contact with me. The farm has been in the family for generations, with some buildings dating back to 1865. Today, the main activity is running nine tourist cabins, welcoming guests who come to experience the mountains and the peaceful atmosphere. About us: We are a family with three children. Me Tone grew up on this farm, but have also been travelling the world and volunteering with my family. The children are now grown up. The youngest (18) still lives at home, while th...

Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful, so escaping the crazines...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to w...

Travelers should choose my place because it offers a calm, friendly, and comfortable home in the Dublin Suburbs 10 minute train ride to City Centre. You’ll be surrounded by plants, nature, and good company 🌿. The tasks are light and relaxed. You’ll also learn practical gardening tips and horticultural knowledge in a cozy, welcoming environment. It’s an ideal place for volunteers who enjoy peaceful living, meaningful conversations, and a warm home atmosphere. I am a well organized and responsible person. I have a satirical and humorous view of the world. It is important that volunteers in my home don't take themselves too seriously. I’m an easygoing, friendly host who enjoys gardening and evening chats 😊. I value respect, honesty, and harmony in the house. Volunteers can expect to be treated kindly and fairly, with plenty of support and patience. I like keeping things informal and relaxed, and I always try to make sure everyone feels comfortable and at home. Trust is important to me...

Hi, welcome to our profile:) ~UPDATE April 2022~ We are right now looking for a person to come and help us with things in and around the house, and if handy helping us out with some "handy-stuff" :) We have a daughter with need for 100% help and a team of people working with her. And we have a son. Spending time with our children is very important to us. To help with or be part of the team around our daughter experience around disabilities is a merit and good life experience overall. Get in touch, ask questions, if interested. We do really enjoy hosting helpers and wwoofers since many years, and are right now in need also for a person working in the team. (Are you maybe someone with carpenter experience/skills and education? We want to make our garage into a space to use all year and could need some help). When being here of course taking part in household care with some daily chores etc. We have amazing nature with ocean next to the house, vegetarian eating, friendly people! ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

* Very often one or two of the volunteers works as a handyman and general maintenance worker, and this position can also be paid for the hours in excess of the 25 hours per week. From the reviews of the others you can understand a lot and you can feel what we can share... I speak English, Franch and basic Portugues. Hi ! We are a parish situated in the center of Tuscany. We are in a town, really nice and famous, rich of art and history, not so far from Siena. The name of the town is San Gimignano. In our parish we organized many activities with kids and teenagers. Even if there are many tourists around every day, I really like the idea to give to the more young of the community the possibility to share time and experiences with those who have a different background, different experiences, different languages. For this reason I decided to open our activities to some people of other cities and countries. We organize activities especially in summer for children and teenagers, some activi...

Hello, my name is Pilar, I live on a 4 hectare farm with animals and an or...

Hey, hello you ! We are Caro and Chris, Zion and Kiara. We were travelling around the world since a gorgeous time until all this virus craziness happened. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. Bretagne is a nice place full of culture, traditions, nice villages, forest and legends and history, and surrounded by the sea. After being helpers ourselves, we now want to be hosts too. We loved it so we expect people love it here too. Our kids are homeschooling with mainly their mother and we would be happy to have Eng...

Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

Hello, we live in a village in the nature, 5kms away from Ponteareas, by the river and surrounded by forests. At the moment(starting 2026) we mostly need a person (better if looking for a place to be quite at the nature) to take care of the house, the place and the dog, during the week, and in the weekend, around 10 hours some extra help, in exchange for a room in a bioconstructed and well isolated house. Not meals included in general. Activities needed might range between giving some atention to the property: gardening tasks mostly, and/or possibly some help cooking and tiding/cleaning or creating some beautiful paintings, sculptures or mosaic. We need help with the maintenance of the place; trees, gardens, fences, water channels, preparing wood for winter, cutting trees, etc. We love to be creative and share and teach/learn helping with different tools. 50 meters down from our house is passing the Uma river, with its waterfalls, and a 2,5 trekking beautiful path by wonderfull fore...

PLAY THE YOU TUBE VIDEO BELOW TO SEE OUR FARM! Finally I think we had our last snowfall! I hear birds chirping, we have sightings of little bits of green emerging from the ground, t cannot wait to see the apple trees in full bloom! My farm is open and welcome volunteers all year, currently looking for volunteers to come help at the farm during early 2026! We are an alpaca farm with a herd of around 60 animals. Kia Ora and hi Help-x helpers, We're Chris and Meri. We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment and native habitats. We're interested in all of nature, particularly keen on Australasian birds (being from Australian, NZ and South Pacific Islands) and we're involved from time to time with bird conservation and ornithological projects. We run a little flock of South Suffolk Sheep, we have free Range Brown Shaver Chickens, some Khaki Campbell Ducks (perfect eggs for baking!), have a pair of very rare Cape Barren Geese and we also have a little fruit tree Orchard too. We enjoy good conversation, cooking and sharing good food (and favourite recipes) with others and your stay wouldn't be complete without experiencing a few of Meri's traditional yummy Indonesian styled dishes. We share making meals together and welcome helpers to help make...

MEQUINENZA SPAIN PERIOD : Now until 15th November. I am a single mom who, after her dad's death, has been given the supervision of a large country house located between the fruit plantations in Mequinenza, Spain. The house is supplied with electricity via solar panels and a generator, and water is pumped from the ebro and stored in 2 water tanks of 2000 liters. Potable water is collected in buses at a water pump in the village. To give the house and grounds back to their former glory, I could use help in return for this, I provide full board accommodation. Anyone who loves adventure, peace, and nature and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves is very welcome to me.

We have amazing nature with ocean next to the house, vegetarian eating, friendly people! ...

A stunning property in Kuranda (~30 mins drive to Cairns). Kuranda is a popular tourist town; part of the UNESCO listed “Wet Tropics”, home of the famous Barron Falls and stunning rainforests. We are currently trying to create a beautiful and self-sustainable farm. This place is perfect for someone who wants to experience the Australian country life and nature. We get visits from birds and wallabies. But if you are really lucky, you might get a visit from the Cassowary!! We are currently looking for someone who has arborist/ building/ carpentry/ handy man skills.

We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment and native habitats. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...
