In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study. We would be most grateful if you would like to come and live with us, and help us with the housekeeping; cleaning, change of bedlinen, reception work, payments, as well as maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, childcare, pet care, and other activities like going fishing and having fun. We have a room with a queen bed in a sleep out, with helpers own separate lounge/kitchenette. Access to washing machine. The bathroom is inside the main house located a few metres away. Jan is a teacher at a Kura Kaupapa Maori three days a week and Bill works from home developing Te Reo Maori learning resources for our local tribe and teaches Te Reo Maori one day a week.

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

. We are a retired couple currently in the process of wrapping up a farming phase of our lives. We need "brawn" to help clean up a dusty barn and restore a damaged hoop house. Not a lot of skill is needed if you can handle a shovel and are not afraid of a half-day's hard work followed by playing in the forest or sitting in a hot tub along a beautiful creek in the mountains. SKILLS to USE: . You just need to be a willing helper who doesn`t mind working outside or in a barn. Your assistance will be used to help with farm chores, landscaping, gardening, etc and some domestic assistance in the house preparing for our frequent guests. You will be asked to show your passport or US ID for us to photo copy for safety purposes only. OUR WEATHER: Obviously, in winter months it's cold in Montana. (FYI: Our area in Montana has milder winter weather in comparison to the rest of Montana. We are shielded from harsh wind chills by mountain ranges on both sides.) Winter helpers w...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We live with our 3 young children on a farm just before Ngunguru on the famous Tutukaka Coast. Our property is 42 hectares filled with native bush, waterfalls, recent pine and manuka plantings, streams and pastures. There is lots to explore on our property and the surround coastlines. We have some cows, chicken and pigs on the wee plot, along with countless native birds. There is a free standing cottage on the property which is currently being tenanted, and currently a tiny house is being built on leased land in a corner of our property. Attached to the house is a guest bedroom and bathroom which gives you privacy and space. In exchange for meals and board, we would appreciate help on the farm with gardening, landscaping, weeding, planting natives and other projects we have on the farm. We can either do 4 hours help a day, or combine sessions, to have days off. Any experience with farming and horticulture would be appreciated but is not required. We have a million and one ideas and...

We are Axel and MĂŽnica (both 51). We are living in Portugal and our house with 3000 squaremeters of land is in a small village in the countryside of the beautiful Algarve. We can offer accommodation (bedroom - as you can see on the picture - and separate bathroom for you) and meals of course. Behind the village the mountains start, so here is a lot of nature, the beaches are 30km away. The next town (Messines) is 4km away, the next village about 1km. We need helpers in April/May 2026 for more or less three weeks for some work in our garden.. We prefer a couple or two friends, but if you are a single helper, you can contact us as well. Helpers are very welcome to our house!

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! ---- 📱 📱 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘: 𝗕đ—Čđ—łđ—Œđ—żđ—Č đ—°đ—Œđ—»đ˜đ—źđ—°đ˜đ—¶đ—»đ—Ž 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄đ—Č đ—žđ—¶đ—»đ—±đ—č𝘆 𝗼𝘀𝗾 đ˜†đ—Œđ˜‚ đ˜đ—Œ 𝗰𝗼𝗿đ—Č𝗳𝘂đ—čđ—č𝘆 𝗿đ—Čđ—źđ—± đ—Œđ˜‚đ—ż đ—Čđ—»đ˜đ—¶đ—żđ—Č đ—œđ—żđ—Œđ—łđ—¶đ—čđ—Č đ—źđ—»đ—± đ—°đ—”đ—Č𝗰𝗾 đ—Œđ˜‚đ—ż đ—źđ˜ƒđ—źđ—¶đ—čđ—źđ—Żđ—¶đ—čđ—¶đ˜đ˜†. đ—Șđ—Č đ—±đ—Œ đ—»đ—Œđ˜ đ—ș𝗼𝗾đ—Č đ—Č𝘅𝗰đ—Čđ—œđ˜đ—¶đ—Œđ—»đ˜€. 𝗱𝘂𝗿 đ—șđ—źđ—¶đ—» đ—Žđ—Œđ—źđ—č đ—¶đ˜€ đ˜đ—Œ đ—źđ˜ƒđ—Œđ—¶đ—± đ—źđ—»đ˜† đ—șđ—¶đ˜€đ˜‚đ—»đ—±đ—Čđ—żđ˜€đ˜đ—źđ—»đ—±đ—¶đ—»đ—Žđ˜€ đ—Œđ—ż đ—șđ—¶đ˜€đ—ș𝗼𝘁...

*** Visitors stay a 'minimum of 1 week', which can be extended, to 2-4 weeks, if everyone is happy :) *** * Critical thinkers and creative individuals are particularly welcome here. We take immense pleasure in working alongside 'Open Minds', who hold contemporary planetary and social concerns, and seek to rise their consciousness as 'individuals'. Individuals who have independently studied, subjects such as Transhumanism, Mass formation, and the Psychology of Totalitarianism, would benefit from their experience here. Side by side, with daily physical tasks, this would ensure clear thinking individuals', full appreciation of our practice, and would bring more meaning, peace and happiness into their lives. At this moment (March 2026), there's an emphasis on 'lifting Brambles', :) , digging them up from the root, in areas where they have multiplied and taken over. However, there are still plenty of other tasks, to keep things interesting for the visitor. *WOODLAND CLEARANCE WORK, ...

Hi, I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area, covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. This small holding is friendly, warm, chaotic, fun, flexible, hard working place, full of laughter and accommodates all the animals below. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies when not taking a holiday in hospital. Hahah She loves playing cards and word games, ideal for learning the language. She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time. Helpers!!! Need help!) Especially for carpentry work to build a pergola at the barbeque area Looking for the helper. I am in a permanent building process of my old stone house. Any building skills are very welcome!!)) Masonry, carpentry, strong hands and clever mind - all I need here)) The house is situated very close to the cost of Atlantic ocean. Big plot of land rounded the house - so garden skills are welcome too. The place is really nice to stay for the nature lovers and surf fans. There are dozen absolutely stunning beaches around here almost empty when the tourist season is over. Really beautiful mountains full of chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn. Fishing and horse riding are available too (I have a beautiful stallion). And of course the costal views are amazing (authentic paradise for the photo enthusiasts)! Preferably artistic minded people mostly the painters who can share there knowledge and art skills. Artists with strong hands are welcome))

Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

December update I will need help again probably in April . I have had some excellent helpers already this year. I am going to try to sell the house in 2026 so need help as I declutter and get ready to downsize after 45 years in this amazing place. I will still need help in the grounds. Some repairs and general upkeep and maintenance jobs and clearing paths, fighting the undergrowth, tending plants and watering. When it rains there are plenty of indoor jobs to help with: shopping, cooking and cleaning, decluttering and sorting stuff. Computer assistance is always a bonus. There may also be opportunities to help with voluntary projects nearby including the Storehouse with its community lunch once a week, Saturday Town Hall open house. These are all ways to meet local people. This very big old house with woodland garden is tucked behind the main street of a busy, small Scottish town. I have no pets but there are resident deer, squirrels and even badgers to look out for! Exper...

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) Shane:) We are looking for help with: - Daily chores which includes feeding and watering all the animals. -...

CURRENTLY SEEKING HELP WITH CIDER APPLE AND PERRY PEAR HARVESTING - LATE SEPTEMBER TO EARLY DECEMBER (EITHER FOR PART OR ALL OF THAT PERIOD) I am a 81 year old architect and countryman with cider, perry and damson orchards and a large house and garden. Two young friends live in a converted barn next door - a jazz & blues guitarist and his wife - and two other long-term residents also live in the house with me. We have poultry, goats, dogs and cats as well. We hold regular jazz concerts on site and we live a sort of communal life with frequent visitors. This is an opportunity to experience traditional country living in the west midlands of England. You will be introduced to all aspects of life in this rural location, where hops and fruit are still quite extensively grown. We live fairly communally, sharing most meals together - food is an important part of life here! We cook from scratch using our own produce where possible, or locally sourced ingredients. We welcome guests to cook a...

We are Said (36) from the Sahara and Linde (33) from the Netherlands. It is our pleasure to meet you here in Project Bani Hayoune Garden! Said comes from a big Amazigh-Tuareg family. After growing up in the Sahara desert and living many years a nomadic life, his family settled down in a village called Tagounite. Now Said lives next to the small village Beni Hayoun, 4 kilometers outside Tagounite. Here, we are working on recovering 200-year old adobe house. Behind the house there is a large garden which needs a lot of care and work. Our aim is to make the land green again, bring the oasis life back and to grow enough food for us and for the community. Linde is an artist from the Netherlands & Denmark and also co-founder of the project. Her past experience includes working in Waldorf kindergartens, creating workshops with children and families in a refugee center, and caring for people in homes for the disabled. While living in the project & house for most of the year, Linde helps in ...

Vacancy from Tuesday 2 April. We require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops, just over 100 meters from a very quiet, sandy beach.đŸ§œâ€â™‚ïž Opportunities on your day off include fishing...

Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles. Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley.

Hi, so, we are a small family living in a hamlet belonging to Saint Michel de Vax, in Tarn but only 9 km from Saint Antonin Noble Val (Tarn et Garonne, 82), where you can climb, hike, swim, kanoe Its also close to the famous Cordes sur ciel (81 Tarn) and Albi (Tarn, site Unesco). This is a very touristic région beautiful nature and medieval towns and villages typical of the south of France. Close towns: Albi, Gaillac, Montauban, Villefranche de Rouergue. Tooulouse is 1H on the train. Better update this profile as my daughter is no longer 18 but 20 and moving out to Australia next month (mai-april 2026) My son (25 and often also his girfriend) is still living on the same farm, but in another outbuilding and we share bathroom etc. We also have some cats, a great dane, donkey and horse (but currently staying at trainer) our life style: -We have mainly a vegetarian organic diet, and if we eat meat it comes from the local butcher /farmer. -We enjoy some alcool now and again but no...

We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. We have 4 bedrooms for travelers and helpers in our guest house available for you (can accommodate probably up to 10 people) and there is also a game room, swimming pool (in the summer) and basketball court on the property. We also have campgrounds with a fire pit and tents. We would like help with cleaning of guest rooms, cooking, painting of walls and murals, some light construction work (very simple, you don't need to know anything), fixing bicycles for the neighborhood kids as well as maintaining the pool (in the summer). We have been doing this for about 15 years now and had guests from all over the world stay with us. We can show you around this part of Oklahoma and you are welcome to expl...

Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We have turned our farm into a petting zoo and Airbnb. -...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM EARLY APRIL.. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. https://youtu.be/H4dThiCOOlw There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park.

Hello! Help us in our small farm, in a small village close to Vevey (15min by car) and Lausanne (25 min by car). We are Arnaud and Vanessa, and our kids are Céleste (3yo) and Léandre (1yo). Over the past five years, we have renovated the house and we still need a little help with the finishing touches and day-to-day management with our animals: our dog Maya, our horses Mélisse and Nova and our cats Léo and Chaussette. :) No experience needed, but motivation ! We have availability from mid-March. You contribute 3-4 hours a day and we'll provide you a bedroom in a separate flat (possibly with one other helper), shared kitchen and living room, food and drinks, WiFi. You also have the opportunity of taking a drama course and/or go riding a horse with us once or twice. We mostly cook vegetarian. Sometimes we cook and eat together, sometimes you cook for yourselves and we provide the food. Here are the tasks we need help with the next months: - cleaning/maintaining the horses' paddock ...
