And there is still a lot to do. We started a vegetable garden and are interested to convert the rest into a beautiful living space for birds, insects and ourselves. The place where the vegetable garden is now, turned out to be very wet. So the next project is to create a new one in a different spot and to turn parts of the old one into a wetland biotope. And we have more ideas for our garden (e.g. build little houses for birds, insects, hedgehogs) and within the house (e.g. some painting, rebuild the inside of a cabinet). Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu, which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating. We grow our own veggies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish. now only two the cat ate one The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks has a meditation spot ..
