Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

Our community is a colorful, international bunch of nice people, with Austrian, Middle Eastern, Polish, and German roots and many international friends from all over the world. Feri (43) and Lise (50) currently live here permanently. The children, Layla (12) and Aisha (10), visit us regularly on weekends and during holidays. Natalia (30) and her two children, Maja (11) and Damian (7), also come by from time to time when they are not traveling in their camper van. Feri's cousins visit us regularly to enjoy time together and prepare delicious oriental food! We also have many other visitors (friends, helpers, and family) from all over the world. We have a big family and a lot of friends who come from all over the world to visit. We sometimes have family events and could use an extra hand getting things ready—whether that's preparing rooms or other bits and pieces. Don't worry, we don't have paying guests; all our visitors are family and friends. We're living the dream here in Lower Austr...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Mounaval is an old family farm built during the Revolution where vines were grown. This reinvented place is home to Harry's cycle restoration workshop, a German/Bavarian with a passion for bicycles, as well as the studio of the visual artist Babette Boucher. Our son is 16, going to lycee and huge fan of football. This is our living space. Harry takes care of bikes all kinds, but mostly vintage racers. Restoration/repair, selling. He is an athlete, did many times Ironman. My hero! We propose a very big space to camp, a barn to be used as a dormitory in case the weather is not so friendly and a room for guests. Sanitaires are common. We are growing all what we can eat, permaculture background and very creative way. We organise a few events, during summer like workshops or art-residency, so I could need help with coocking or preparings beds. Otherwhise we will build a sauna in the garden, a chicken house and a lot to do in the vegetable garden! We need help whenever you can! We will b...

Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand "tree quarter acre section" on a north facing (all day sun) hobbit hill, looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitting project. Currently the main focus is on landscaping, forging a pathway up the hill via carving out soil on one side and adding to the other side, creating little embankment walls in the process. Most of these embankments will be made from recycled Oamaru natural stone, a few with recycled glass bottles. Our white Oamaru sandstone has attracted various sculptors to our town, because it is soft enough to be cut and carved...

About us and our sustainable farm My name is Svitlana. I am originally from Ukraine, but have lived in Norway since 2002. I speak the language fluently and work from home, managing all the affairs of our småbruk in Østre Toten: from the garden to business logistics and bookkeeping. I live with my 9-year-old son, who is a very active boy. He is a musician and loves football, skiing, and card games. He is always happy for company and enjoys playing with guests in his free time. We strive for a harmonious life and total autonomy. Our goal is self-sufficiency in everything: from growing our own food to independent water and electricity systems. We are open-minded, love traveling, and exploring other cultures through conversation, music, and food. We look forward to meeting new friends! What you can help with I am looking for proactive volunteers to help in the following areas: Horticulture and Business: Our entire garden is a business. We grow flowers, trees, and shrubs for sale. (Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! And we've hosted volunteers from Colombia, Iran, Canada, China, Mexico, Iraq, USA, Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Japan, France, Germ...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004,it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

Thanks to all the helpers that have given us a hand. We close for the Winter months and look for help again in March 2026. So if you are self motivated and planning ahead, send us a message and we will get back to you. We are in the countryside, a bus passes our gate 3 times a day. There are a few bicycles to borrow. Lovely walks through the Woods. Take a day trip to see Cliffs of Moher, visit Galway. Listen to Irish music in one of our local pubs. You can help out in the Garden, chopping wood, watering plants and vegetables to light domestic duties. When we get time we get more creative as it's a big property and there is always something to do. You will live in your own quarters with other volunteers. Food is included. Also WIFI. The day typically starts at 11am and finishes 4pm with a break in-between. Two days off to go and explore the area. We prefer to get people for a minimum of 3 weeks stay. Let us know if you are interested and message us with your profile.

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

We are a small modern monastery, and retreat/meditation center located near Hamburg, Germany. The center is focused on providing an environment to meditate, go inwards, calm down and reconnect with oneself and the Sacred in the inner and outer. It is a place of stillness and peace, and perfectly suited for experienced meditators and other experienced spiritual practitioners who might also like to enjoy the natural surrounding. You are welcome as a volunteer if you: - enjoy deep (inner) silence, - like to meditate with us, twice daily, - like to pay attention to detail and precision in your work and most everything you do, - would like to reduce your digital media intake to what is necessary, during your stay with us, - are 'experienced' on the spiritual path: You have your own spiritual practice and MUST have been on a spiritual retreat before, - would like to use your time here for your personal timeout and spiritual retreat - apart from the hours that you help in the house or garden...

My name is Faye. and I own a small Cortijo just 15 min walk from alternative town, Orgiva. The area which I offer for park-up or camping, lacked care and attention for decades before I purchased, so I thought, as opposed to let it lie to ruin and desertify over the coming years, why not have volunteers help to bring the terraces back to life, and in exchange, they can use it as a safe base to explore the area. Now, thanks to all the wonderful the people that have stayed here, its a welcoming place for nature lovers to relax and use as a safe base explore Orgiva and the surrounding communities / areas. About the place: A stay here is ideal for anyone who is independent and enjoys being amongst nature. Volunteering for just 8-10 hours per week, this gives you more free time to do your own thing, explore the area or enjoy Orgiva town. More than happy to give advice about the area, i.e best restaurants, hiking trails, or even where the parties at. I consider Orgiva to be a very friendly ...

We are a family of 5, living on a 20 acre lifestyle block only 8 minutes from Rangiora township. We have 3 children. We currently stock some sheep and cows on our property. We have a Jack Russell dog. We are looking for a couple or 2 friends who can help us in our garden. The jobs are weeding, putting pea straw down, maybe planting vegetables, watering plants, mowing lawns, hedge trimming, bagging up pine cones or putting firewood in the shed. Just whatever needs doing at the time. Around the home it may be cleaning windows or some lite house work. We also have a ride on lawn mower. We love the outdoors and live in a lovely setting with farms all around us. We quite often work with you or leave you tasks to do. You have the use of the quad bike and trailer for most of the work. We have a spare room in our home with a queen bed for helpers to use. Sometimes our children are here or away at school. We have a pool table and a second lounge if you want your own space. We both work and...

Our hext vacancy is likely to be in March. From then on we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. Right now I am renovating a 5m dinghy trailer and a 51 year-old, but still very strong 5m Clark brand, aluminium dinghy, fitting remote steering, centre console, etc. You would probably start your stay by helping with this. You need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year. Most of the work is outside but also based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop and in our vegetable garden just over 100 meters from the beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

We are a small homestead with gardens and animals with a surface of 3.000 square meters. We cultivate fruit (about 25 trees: orange, mandarine, apple, almond, olive, etc), and vegetables. We have a lot of chicken (about 80) as well as a few cats (10) and dogs (3) running around. Other than that we try to produce a few organic products such as tomato sauce, dried tomatoes, and figs and make our own olives. I will have a surgery in mid April and I will be away for about 6weeks. For the time of my absence, I am looking for one or two reliable people who would like to stay with us and offer their support. Ideally, you would arrive about one week before my departure, so I can show you everything and explain all routines in detail. The main focus is on the loving care of our dogs and other animals, as well as a few small daily tasks. My husband will be here, but he is very busy with fishing ,so your help would be a great relief for him. We are happy to receive seriious applications from...

There...

In addition, basic cleaning, gardening and minor maintenance work in exchange for a stay in a 2.2 million dollar house with views to die for. Folks always are amazed at the quality of the units which are located on the top of Bowen Hills 2km from the city, 300 metres from the train station, 200 metres for Gaswork shopping complex, 250 metres from Aldi. My arrangement is usually 5 days of working per week (weekend or flexible days off), 4 hours of work per day per person, in exchnage for accommodation and general basic food (no alcohol/no takeaway), with reimbursement of receipts. I am a 47yr old englishman living with my greek partner. We have a large land in a small village - Velanidia - in the Peloponnese near the sea. The nearest town - Neapoly - is 30 minutes drive. We would like our visitors to enjoy the beauty of this place and in return give us five to six hours a day to help us with the upkeep of the property. Most of the tasks will be working on the land. You will have your own room, with superb views, and eat with us twice a day.On most days there is free Wi Fi, provided by the local municipality, and can be used from the balcony of our home. We like our visitors to stay for at least two weeks minimum but prefer longer stays. I would like to point out that where we are has a very long summer. Photo1 our home, photo2 local beach, photo3 living room. photo4 sunrise from our land, photo5 the village and photo6 the family.
