Hello, We are a French couple living in the small village of Loubieng in Béarn. We are Anaïs and Arnaud, 38 years old. Anaïs works in ecopsychology and ecology. Arnaud is a cabinetmaker, joiner, and carpenter. We both play music :). Arnaud is renovating our future home: an old 19th-century Béarnaise farmhouse, and we are inside, working on the ceilings. We would be delighted to welcome a person or a couple to help us with this step because the work alone is not feasible! The tasks are physical, so we are preferably looking for someone physically capable of carrying plasterboard. A good portion of the placo has been installed, there's still a little left to do, and then there's the installation of the battens and wood wool insulation. Arnaud has already been a trainer in eco-construction and enjoys teaching. In exchange of 4hours daily work from monday to friday, we will offer you a quiet space in a comfortable caravan as well as breakfast and lunch, mainly organic and local. Do n...

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted manyn volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. Any questions? Always happy to explain! Ruud

I am a principal of a primary school. We have so far 35 foster kids and we would love to have volunteers in our small organisation and at our school. We welcome visitors here and if you want, we can pick you from the airport Entebbe and you can just pay the fuel or when you are already in Uganda and you want to come to Masaka, we can pick you from the bus park in Masaka for free. So whoever is ready to come is welcome. My partner (Drew) and I (Maia) have a lovely home on 3 acres, on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in Queensland (popular for its incredible climate, nature, waterfalls, swimming holes, lakes, tourist attractions, etc.) We are delighted that many wallabies live here too. 😍 Our average age is 63 (young at heart!) We have accumulated knowledge and wisdom that we are happy to share. Drew is a wonderful gardener and handyman. The home on the Sunshine Coast that he sold in 2023 had a brilliant, abundant garden/food forest that he created from a bare block. He's keen to create another magical, food-producing garden in Millstream too - chemical-free, of course. (There are 50 spray-free Bowen mango trees here already!) However, while he has done some things, there's a lot of other things to get sorted first as a higher priority. He is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. ...

Please post photo of yourself. It is a lovely home atmosphere. Own room, double bed and couch. I have a large standard male black poodle who loves everyone. You must love dogs, and small female version of the bigger one. So two dogs. I adore them, as if you love dogs, they will love you back. Just need those who can handle normal life! I’m into current affairs and am centre right! I am older, but not a weakly older! Cooking, sharing experience and recipes, even better. The work here is garden maintenance, pruning and lawn mowing, weeding, and some cleaning in the home. Please use your own initiative! If you see leaves, sweep them up. I have a blower so that’s easy too. If the bench is dirty wipe it. If there are dishes, rinse and put in the dishwasher. That type of thing. If you have a car, there is off street safe parking for you. .Accommodation in return for garden maintenance and some house work. You will have time for yourself. We can do the shopping...

Our farm is up for sale, so work is lighter, mostly weeding, cleaning, and property tidy-ups. Usually, it’s just you, us, and the animals, so it’s a relaxed, family-style experience. We typically start at 8am or by arrangement and ask for about 4 hrs of help per day You’ll stay in your own private air-conditioned container accommodation next to our home, share meals, enjoy the spa pool, BBQ area, and explore with our e-bikes. A vehicle is recommended as there’s no public transport, Richmond (shops, cafes) is 5 mins away, Nelson 20 mins. We love positive, proactive people, good cooks, and anyone who enjoys sharing food, music, and stories. Check out our reviews below.

Metaremåla Gård is a forest/farm in southern Sweden, 2 hours east of Copenhagen and just 20 km from the Baltic. We – Alex from Germany, Fiona from Scotland, both mid-50’s, no kids - bought it in 2022 and moved here permanently in late 2024, having decided that Germany was just too full. Our 200 year-old, museum-like farmhouse is spacious and (despite ongoing renovations!) comfortable and warm with all mod-cons. Besides 40 hectares of forest, including part of a lake, we keep chicken and (billy) goats, as well as our pets, namely two dogs, three horses and two cats. We do not have any type of organic certification but try to do everything in such a way as to minimise our impact on the environment – we re-use and recycle everything we can, process our own meat (both game and the said chicken and goats!), grow as many of our own vegetables as we can, etc. This year we plan to install an earth-heat exchanger as well as solar panels, renovate the various farm buildings, set up a kitchen gar...

This very peaceful rural property is located within a special coastal Karri forest and is just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand shallow beach. The weather is warming up now and the flies are starting to die out. We start work early here(7am) and that means helpers have from 9am to be free to play and/or relax !! I invite helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. This place is very special location" because it is 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual native animals roam freely over this land - Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, various reptile also so many birds are in abundance on this land. 2 helpers are moving on soon and I will need a couple of helpers to replace them. I am seeking at least 2 helpers(a couple) who are staying in their own camper van, or car with roof top tent or similar. I wil...

HI WE’VE BEEN AWAY AND WE‘D WELCOME SOME HELP IN OUR GARDEN We would like some help for a week or so from Saturday, 13 December to Tuesday 23 December. Summer is here and our garden is growing really well - including a bunch of weeds so we’d welcome some help. We are a friendly couple living on a small lifestyle block near Okato, Taranaki. We lived for many years in Germany and some years ago returned to Taranaki. We enjoy meeting new people, sharing ideas, and exchanging experiences. We joined this platform in September 2024 and have had some wonderful people to stay since then. After a longer break over the winter we are looking forward to meeting some new people again. We need some help with ongoing garden work weeding, cutting back some hedges and tidying up some of our planted areas. We may get a load of wood for the coming winter and help stacking it would be appreciated. Taranaki is a stunning area with nearby mountain walks, gorgeous beaches, and a fantastic surf coast. O...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Looking for a base in the heart of Blenheim? We have a couple of large & sunny spare bedrooms, and could really use some help with painting, gardening, and some basic house maintenance. Feel free to get in touch by WhatsApp. Helpers & lodgers have one of two spacious double bedrooms on the main floor with a toilet and large separate bathroom (with shower & bathtub) across the hallway, plus the downstairs lounge / living room to relax & spread out in.

🏡 Stay in a Unique Wildlife Sanctuary near Currumbin Beach – Help with Gardening, House Projects & More I’m Deborah, and I live in a peaceful bushland home on the ridge in Elanora, on the beautiful Gold Coast (Southeast Queensland). The property is part of a koala sanctuary — wallabies regularly visit the backyard, and if you’re patient, you might spot a koala in the treetops. You’ll definitely hear them at night! Despite the natural setting, we’re only a 5-minute drive from Currumbin Beach and close to local shopping centres, bushwalks, weekend markets, and iconic surf spots. 🌿 About the Stay: I’ve recently moved back into my home and am still getting everything properly set up after a long and difficult few years dealing with insurance and rebuilding. The house is a work in progress — but a beautiful one — and helpers have always been welcome here. Sleeping arrangements currently include inflatable bedding, and there are still some basic household things being sorted out. Most gu...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, physically fit, want to get your hands dirty and love to be outdoors you will love it her...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

We are new to this platform but have been on workaway for about 6 years. We (My partner Ruby and me (Ross) and our 4 y/o Harriet) live on a little property in Central Victoria about 2 hours from Melbourne. We have been here for 7 years and are slowly chipping away at different projects from house fix ups to garden projects. Ross's background is in horticulture and landscape design and construction so we are putting in a lot of effort to the gardens. He also teaches a couple of days a week online. Ruby is a social worker, she works 4 days per week. Our 4 y/o daughter Harriet loves craft, games and playing doctors and dress ups. We also have two gorgeous/ energetic dogs and chickens. Our place is set on the edge of a creek on about 4 acres of land at the bottom of a ridge. We have an old tavern from around 1860 (now a house), a fairly new studio and a bungalow, caravan and workshops on our property. Ruby and I are both vegetarians and really like food! We are a 5 minute drive the cl...

My name is Victor and I have been teaching English to young people from my community for 8 years. I have a small school in downtown Tehuantepec near the market, banks, restaurants, and the tropical forest full of coconuts, bananas, and mangoes. Tehuantepec is located 20 minutes from the ocean beach community, Salina Cruz. I am located only a five minutes taxi ride from the local bus station. I am looking for one person at a time to come and work with my students, which includes conversing with my students and teaching if you are able to. My students need more practice talking to people who speak fluent and clear english. I ask for five or six hours a day working with my students and in return I offer a place for you to sleep and one meal a day and a tour around the city to show you my local culture. You can stay for a minimum one week and a maximum of two weeks, but we can make a deal if it works out and you want to stay longer I have lived here all my life and can introduce you...

We live on a 10 acre block approximately 20 minutes drive from the centre of Wellington and 5 mins drive to our local rustic beach. Makara is a little bit of rural paradise with lots to explore down at the beach (apparently good for diving, but lots of lovely areas to explore on foot as well). There is also a couple of mountain bike trails (Makara Peak) as well as a day hike (Skyline Walkway). We have 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and another on the way. You can even have your own lounge to relax in and as you can see from the photo, lots of outside space. We returned from the UK 5 years ago and our home had been rented out for nearly 6 years so as you can imagine, everything was looking a bit tired and the garden needed a lot of TLC. We’ve made huge progress since then but still have too much to do on our own especially when we will be selling the house (hopefully) in the new year. I think now we’re looking to tidy up outside, repair the potholes in the driveway sounds simple but a ...

Namaste! My name is Dipendra, I’m a 28 year old Nepali man with a passion for nature, culture, and sharing the beauty of my country. I’ve been working in trekking and guiding for many years, and now I invite you to be part of our simple, peaceful life in the countryside of Nepal. As a volunteer, you’ll stay in my family home with me, my wife, our young son, and my parents. You’ll become part of our daily life—helping with small tasks like gardening, cooking, taking care of animals, or even teaching basic English to my little boy. No special skills are needed, just a good heart and willingness to connect. In addition to the homestay experience, I also love to take guests on short treks and nature walks in the beautiful hills and forests near our village. I’ll guide you to hidden spots that only locals know, and share stories about the land and culture along the way. This is a chance to truly experience Nepali life from the inside—sharing meals, traditions, laughter, and local knowled...

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

Ruud

He is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. ...

Most gu...
