Family Lifestyle Block Near Bream Bay, NZ We are a friendly family of four living on a 3-hectare lifestyle property near the beautiful Bream Bay coastline, just 10 minutes from the Waipu Caves, 25 minutes from central Whangarei. My husband is a doctor (works away Monday–Thursday) and I’m a nurse at home with our two young children (10 months and 3.5 years). We’re looking for a practical, positive helper who enjoys rural life and is comfortable and confident around young children and animals. Help includes: Gardening and general property maintenance Animal care (1 dog, 1 cat, goats and sheep) Some childcare, playing with the kids, and being an extra pair of hands during busy parts of the day Because our children are young, we’re especially keen to host someone who genuinely enjoys being around toddlers and babies and can engage with them in a patient, proactive way. We have multiple vehicles available for transport needs, with possible occasional independent car use by arrangement. You...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

Do you long to step away from the outside world for a while and immerse yourself in nature ? Then look no further as we are looking for helpers in our wee piece of Paradise at the moment ......... Our farm is 100 acres of deer-fenced land on the Otago Peninsula. The help we require is some basic garden maintenance, wood splitting, weed-eating etc. We are an animal besotted family with 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (please NOTE we have retired drugs dogs so if you use even occasionally, whilst we are not judging you, please don't bother offering your services !). We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device - but saying that our wifi isn't and mobile signal is often patchy!!! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary) as you will be helping with the daily care of the horses. We are a working farm, so sorry but no pets thanks. Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (33years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (25years old) who joined me six months ago and with Maelvin since few months. it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, insulation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials and with exchanging with people, that why we ask a little help for paying food (10euro...

Kia ora Helpxers, We invite you to come and be our Helpxer/s and enjoy our wonderful, warm and sunny location with a spectacular view of Tasman Bay. Our place is 7km from central Nelson. The Nelson Tasman region is a very popular region for travellers, with access to the Abel Tasman National Park being just over an hour away. From our place, you can ride the bicycle trail into town, taking about 20 minutes, or there is a bus stop not far away, or even better, if you have your own transport. We designed and built our own passive solar house, constructed from Adobe Earth Blocks, a sustainable and eco-friendly method of building, using local materials such as clay and straw. It keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coolest! Our preference is to host you for up to one week or more if it suits. We ask for four hours helping out each day, but are flexible for longer days, so you may take a day or two off to explore our beautiful region. We have a few projects in pr...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! ---- 📢 📢 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

Welcome! Your choice: You can exchange two hours help a day for the room only, or you can work for 4 hours a day and we provide meals. We have a private spot close to town here, and are two friendly people, a little dog, and some chickens. Our quiet and green home is in easy and pleasant walking distance of Nelson city centre. It's like being in the country. There is also a bus just steps away, if you want to get into town quickly. This is a good mix - looking after trees, garden, house and each other; making music; preserving fruit, etc We - meaning us two, Ian and Eva - love WWOOFers who enjoy what we are doing, and want to be friendly and part of the family. Eva is a Homoeopath, Ian is an Engineer, we both love to sing, eat, and share good food, and have fun with friendly woofers. The house is surrounded by green hills, with some of Nelson's best bike tracks and walks right next to us. We love cooking and sharing meals. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather.

We can talk with you in English, French or German No Smo...

You will have your own kitchen laundry area to use and fridge of your own. There is a pool for use in summer if air bnb folk not staying. There’s only myself here with air bnb guests from time to time in a separate part of the house. Happy to show you the area. Would love it if you could cook a meal or two. Happy to cook and share the evening meals with you. You need to supply your own breakfast and lunch. I can speak french and a little German ( bit rusty) ….would prefer a young lady or a young coupl...

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! HI, we could use some help in the next 3 days, removing old insulation and storage from under the house. This is our time frame to remove the debris, not how long you can stay. 23/2/26 My name is Sue and my husbands name is Keith, we have a 21 year old son, Tom and a very friendly dog, Tuka. We live in the world famous surf town of Raglan. Our 1 acre property comprises garden, natives and paddock with extensive sea views. Beautiful short and longer walks directly from the property through native bush and/or farmland to Raglan's beautiful wild west coast beaches. We are conveniently situated about between Manu Bay and Ngaranui beach. Mt Karioi is a fantastic mountain to climb right here in Raglan with native bush up and around the crate...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having your own car...

I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...
