We are looking for two paid staff to begin work on the 20th of September. Preference is given to people who can stay for at least 6 weeks, longer is available. Free accommodation onsite with free fast Starlink internet. This place is a former Monastery, which is now a farm and guesthouse on the Great Ocean Road. I live alone in a comfortable 2 bedroom house on a big section, 10 minutes drive to the city, perhaps 20 minutes by bus. I don't have any organic credentials though I do grow some veges... But it would be great to have some (solo preferred) company, a visitor from around the world, maybe 3-7 days, while you get to explore Auckland before heading off to the beautiful parts of NZ. My spare room is minimally furnished, with an airbed at the moment which people tell me is very comfortable. Just bought a new fold up bed as an alternative. I hope you can cook ... I can lol. Actually I rent this home, so there is no major work to be done, but there is always something, mostly just the housework, and keeping things tidy in the garden. I am a mature guy, classical musician by trade, and I'd enjoy the variety of different visitors from around the world. Ich kann ein Bisschen Deutsch, fast. Around here there is wonderful walking by the sea. though no swimming, it is tidal flats. I can drive...

This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We have a small hobby farm just outside of Gunnedah, NSW. growing mostly summer veggies. Now that winter is approaching, we will be planting our onion crop that will need watering and weeding. We have just had a major flood come through our property (August) so now that it has cooled down, we will be clearing flood debris from fences and repairing them. We are listed in a Disaster Recovery Area (2380) from floods in 2022, so can sign off on the 88 visa for volunteer only. There is tractor driving or mowing with a zero-turn, some painting jobs around the house, sauce and relish making from our own produce and other chores associated with a farm. We live on a major river (Namoi) so have wildlife and birds to see. We are looking for helpers but also include you in our social circle and family events. We've hosted volunteers for the last 10 years from various websites and enjoyed learning about different cultures. We have a room with a king size bed in the house or a room with bunk be...

Old monumental farmhouse in small village in Natürpark Fichtelgebirge, near the border of Germany and the Czech Republic. Welcome for guests the whole year who will help us to rebuild our beautiful spot; house and surroundings. We are looking for intelligent 'hands' and 'good heart' people who really want to come here for at least one week. In the past our roof was burned and therefore there is a lot to do. We are now working in the interior, tiling floors and bathroom, plastering with local clay, painting with chalk paints. And there are a lot of other things to do outside as in the garden and in the field/wood. The house has much space for the quests and a special quest room. Working hours are 25 hours a week and the organising times are depending on the wishes of the quests and the work. Meals are simpel, most biological from own garden and if necessary vegetarian. We have a garden in progress and a very good therapeutic well. The three kids are living nearby with their mother. In ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We are looking for helpers who can help for a minimum of two weeks, but helpers who can stay a bit longer are preferred. This really suits helpers who are keen to learn about farming and are interested in that. You will have your own separate, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine and kitchen with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. At present we are likely looking at availability at the end of September. Wi-Fi, power and water included, plus food allowance. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, with plenty of stamina - as well as not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. Beautiful hill country sheep and cattle farm, with views of the sea and mountains. You must enjoy working with animals, be kind, respect and care for them. There is plenty to do all year around and depends on the season. Currently we are lambing which is always a special experience. There are already a few pet lambs that will need feeding and ca...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

I'm looking for one helper to stay with our family. **Please note we have moved from our current farm to suburbia and commute to farm. We are now on a main bus route and it's super simple to get anywhere.** We are a blended family of two boys (almost 17 & 14), an individual with Downs Syndrome & Autism, and another individual with Developmental delay and other health challenges living together. I'm the caregiver for both of my ladies, who are amazing and lovely to be around. I'm called a Home Share Provider. The agency I work for requires a copy of the criminal record check(police check) you obtained to come to Canada to be allowed in our home. This is entirely for the safety of the individuals I support. Preference is given to farm helpers who want longer stays, as the care of the cows is a bit of a steep learning curve for most people. If you are interested in learning more about farming and artisanal dairy on a small scale, I have a great opportunity for you. We are near Victori...

I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden. I prefer to get requests for dates less than two weeks ahead and helpers that wish to stay from a few days up to one week. Sorry no smokers. ps I have a dog.

Next available dates: Second half of, Oct, Nov, early Dec. We are a friendly family living on 5 peaceful acres in Highvale, nestled in the D’Aguilar Range near Samford Village, Brisbane. Our home is surrounded by bushland, birdsong and mountain views, with a pool, tennis court, orchard, and a 3.2km walking track up the mountain. We have three older children (20, and 17-year-old twins) at home and four very affectionate dogs. Helpers stay in a private, self‑contained guest wing which is featured in the photos with bedroom, bathroom, lounge, kitchen, laundry, verandah, air‑conditioning/heating and wifi. My daughter has now moved abroad to study and Ive moved to Auckland to be nearby the sea. My home has 2 acres with half of it bush, it has established organic vege garden, orchard and chickens. It is a new home built for the views, privacy and the sheltered sub tropical garden. I have bananas growing !! Id like to try growing cherimoya and pineapple. Ti Point is a lovely area an hour outside of Auckland past Matakana en route to Leigh where the Goat Island marine reserve is great for snorkelling and Diving. Its a beautiful coastline with great coastal walks and a variety of different beaches. All about 10 mins drive away. Also near Tawharanui regional park and ...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens. We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property. We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season. In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.  We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our yac...

Hi We are a family of 4 and have a small private self contained cottage with stunning views over Cooks Beach and Mercury Bay. Walking distance to Cooks Beach and shops (500m), Lonely Bay, Flaxmill Bay and Ferry Landing and Whitianga (3km). I have a new cabin on the hill above cooks beach, coromandel. Its insulated, lined, beds, powerbank, compost toilet, outdoor shower, wifi, mobile, cooking facilities on the covered decks. It needs some landscaping and work to make it pretty. Visit the Thames Coast on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula! Enjoy home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops or hangout here and make art. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday, loving every second left ! However, we seriously need help with the massive task of 296: gardens to create & jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host he...

The cabin is for gardeners to help me with my large gardens. Around 70 varieties of fruit trees, which always have something to eat. We can pick up and drop off from Whitianga or Hahei / Hotwater Beach. We are looking for assistance with gardening, weeding, spraying, tree planting, cleaning, track building and property maintenence. We can provide some food, veges from the garden, fruit and some basic supplies, but generally we expect you to look after yourselves, cook your own meals etc. Sometimes we can s...
