The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. hello, my name is Steven. my wife and I are living in this small rural town for 20 years and we know the surrounding area very well. I work as a health professional in the town. so we usually quite busy may only take you out to nearby tourist spot on weekends. Near Hamilton, there are mountains, hot springs, waterfalls, and beaches. It's about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Melbourne. the land of my home is about one acre in size. Because I'm busy most of the time, there's a lot of grass that needs mowing, and some trees that need pruning. I have two cats, so their litter needs to be scooped every day. If you come in winter, you might need to light the fire place. There's a fire at home for heating. Yes, we burn large chunks of wood in winter. we have massage chair, red light therapy unit and a small oxygen chamber in TV room. As for cultural exchange, since I'm Chinese, I still maintain Chinese living habits. we also have rich life experience and knowledge, so if you're intere...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. In time, want to transition the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the lit...

** as of 22nd June we are looking for a helper to start round 9th July for an approx 2 week stay ** Your time here counts towards the 88 days working visa requirements as we are in a declared natural disaster region. We are a family in rural Australia who have helpers (only 1 helper at any one time) stay with us from time to time. Our experience has been that shorter stays of 2-3 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen. We offer a luxurious, self contained cottage which is adjacent to our house but is also privately positioned. We have young children and enjoy meeting new people. We have a great swimming hole on the river (that we share with platypus and other creatures) and there are kayaks to use. Our wood fired sauna is a great way to end the day :) Our property is teeming with wildlife and 7 riverside hectares are set aside as a conservation area in...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

# 🌊 Welcome to Kumihama Bay, Kyoto 🇯🇵 Hello future volunteers, summer is coming soon here on the beautiful long beachside! We now have availability from the beginning of August onward and are looking for positive, responsible, and open-minded people who would enjoy authentic countryside life in Japan. This is a shared-life experience rather than a backpacker hostel or party environment. We live together in a quiet coastal area surrounded by nature, seafood farming, local culture, helping each other, and everyday Japanese life. We especially appreciate people who are independent, communicative, flexible, and comfortable contributing to daily life respectfully and cooperatively 😊 If you enjoy meaningful cultural exchange, nature, practical work, and connecting with both local Japanese people and international travelers, you may enjoy staying with us very much. Warm regards, Your future host, Atsushi Toyoshima 🙏 To everyone sending booking enquiries: If you apply more than thr...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hello from the beautiful Dandenong Ranges! My current Helper is looking for a flat, as he will be living in Melbourne, so the room will be free again in a couple of weeks. I’m looking to host a single traveller. I am a self-employed ARTIST in a very colourful home. I have 1 dog, 5 goats and 3 lovely human housemates. EXPECTATIONS Enthusiastic, trustworthy English-speaking helpers who enjoy a laugh, are practical and can work INDEPENDENTLY. There are several varied DIY projects on the go. Most of the work is outside, you need to be physically fit and prepared for manual labour. I look forward to hearing from travellers who can help with limited instructions, unsupervised and have a passion for gardening, fence repair, building and DIY projects. Do you know how to use a drill, a drop saw, a sander and an angle grinder? Garden maintenance duties include but not limited to: use a whipper snipper to tidy garden edges; rake leaves; hand weed, digging, collecting fallen branches and stic...

NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

Hi there travellers! I'm looking for some people to do some tree pruning, other gardening and other mostly outside work. There's a couple of leaks in my irrigation I have yet to find. I've always got inside work to do as well, mostly cleaning. So on these cold winter days, we can be busy inside. There's always lots to do. If you are a couple, or two couples even - you are welcome to buy and cook your own food and set your own pace around exploring/helping out in the garden. If you are travelling alone and prefer company you will be welcome to eat with us, and I am happy to set an extra place at the table. It will be expected that you spend more time hanging out with me in my garden(s). While you are here, whoever you are, you will be welcome to participate in our daily life, to learn about how Kiwis live. We have a large property with many apple trees, almond and peach trees, apricot and plum trees, plus lots of gardens. Also a lovely fire pit to enjoy a late night chat around....

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

hello, my name is Steven. my wife and I are living in this small rural town for 20 years and we know the surrounding area very well.

Join Our Home in Walnut Creek: A Unique Opportunity for Connection and Support Hello! My name is Bruce, and I’m looking for a reliable, friendly person to assist me with everyday life while also forming a meaningful connection. About Me and Our Home I broke my neck at 18, resulting in lifelong use of a wheelchair. Despite this, I pursued multiple degrees and have built a fulfilling life with my wife, Kim. We live in a cozy three-bedroom home in Walnut Creek, just 28 miles east of San Francisco. Our household includes our service dog, Bennett, a future service dog in training (Dorothy, our third), and two cats, Edna and Scarlett. Your Role & Contribution While Kim is my full-time caregiver, I need help with tasks that offset my paralysis, including: - Household Tasks – Light cleaning, keeping the kitchen tidy, and helping with laundry. - Personal Assistance – Bringing me food, water, and other necessities I can’t manage on my own. - Driving & Companionship – Taking...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...
