Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. Now the winter of our discontent is ending, transformed into a glorious spring by this Galician sun; and ....sometimes, the clouds that darkened our home disappear into the deep heart of the flat lands.... So it's time to get to work in the garden and lay cement in some places. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 6 domestic geese, chickens, dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, plant...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra.

I am an Irish filmmaker recently relocated to rural France, where I am developing a filmmaking residency and independent creative retreat in a 150-year-old French manor house. The property includes a 20+ room château-style house and two vast barns, which I am in the process of transforming into a fully independent film and arts studio complex. The long-term vision is to host filmmaking residencies, Kino Kabaret events, writers’ retreats, and film-industry masterclasses, alongside screenings, collaborative productions, and summer open-air theatre. This is a hands-on, evolving creative space designed for filmmakers, writers, artists, and curious makers who want to live and work together in a quiet, inspiring setting. The barns are being converted into:a 30-seat cinema / screening room editing suites a recording studio additional artist studios and workshop space Inside the main house, the work is largely restoration: painting and decorating historic salons and bedrooms, laying tile and w...

Hello dear helpers, Several years ago, we bought a small farmhouse in northern Germany. By now, 12 people and several animals live here. We were fortunate enough to take over the neighboring organic farm, where two gardeners grow vegetables. A few years ago, we rescued 3 pigs from the slaughterhouse, and they now also live with us. In September 2024 three Piglets were rescued from their cruel fate and instead came to our Sanctuary. "We" are Volker (42) and Louise (39). Volker builds and sells ecological tiny houses, and Louise works in healthcare. We love cooking, making music, painting, playing board games, and both have been living vegan for many years. We also have two old dogs and a cat and a big heart for animals. We would appreciate help with the everyday tasks here on the farm. This could include mowing the meadow, gardening, building fences, caring for and planting trees, doing manual work, taking care of the pigs and sometimes helping in the organic farm. For our helpers...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. We are a working sheep and cattle station 190km East of Geraldton. There are 2 different roles we would like help with: Please note longer stays preferred. Offers for only a week to 2 weeks are not accepted sorry. 1 - The station requires help with general station duties which include general maintenance of water points, fencing and vehicles. The station has a carbon project here so there will be opportunities to learn about and be part of a pastoral regeneration project. There is some stock work to do with the cattle. Hi, We are Rachel and Colin from Scotland, we have owned Andrea Jensen, in Sardinia, since February 2016. Andrea Jensen is a 24m, traditional, wooden tall ship, Gaff Ketch, originally built in Denmark in 1939. Our business offers unique sailing day trips from Alghero, Sardinia, Italy for tourists. We have run this business together for 10 years. We require crew to help with boat maintenance from March 2026 to end of April. We also require summer volunteer crew from May to October, this is done in a month to 6 weeks stay for each crew member. Our vacancy right now is for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Garden plants are growing fast, as are the weeds! As it is the hot season during February, we start in the garden about 7am after a beach walk. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; based out of a well-equipped, a...

You will have your own separate, private, peaceful accommodation, with en-suite, washing machine and kitchen with beautiful views of rural land and Tasman Bay. Wi-Fi, power and water included, plus food. You must be physically strong, hard-working, practical and fit, with plenty of stamina - as well as not being afraid of getting your hands dirty. Where East meets West, half way between Oslo and Bergen, is our historic farm situated 750 meters above sea level in the beautiful mountain village Leveld, surrounded by forest and mountains. This summer we are finishing off a building project in our beautiful mountain chalet. We also have the usual work, which is running the tourist business. This historic farm has been in the family for generations, and some of the houses date back to 1865. The main income of the farm is to run the 9 tourist cabins. About us: You will have mostly to do with Tone, who is responsible for the running the farm and the cabins. We are a family with 3 children, the youngest (17) still lives at home, the other two has moved out, but comes to stay during holidays. Tone grew up on the farm and Pascal grew up in New Zealand/Australia. Work: Will vary a lot depending what kind of project we will be up to when you are here. It could be painting and restoring the cabins. If you have an interest in interior de...

Hi, I’m Keith. Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. It’s a campus that focuses on peace building education. Our aim is to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation. It’s not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that needs lots of volunteers! We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their studies, marketing, accounts, social media, fundraising and grant...

I'm looking for couples or singles who are travelling around the South West in their Camper Van or Car with tent etc..., basically they need to be mostly self contained. I have some nice camp sites here that are clean, safe and located in a private, natural setting. If you and your partner would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can also probably help you with many things.., I might even be able to help you find local employment opportunities ! I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite stone and timber( milled from the floor of my creek line). I am now fully 'off grid' in my solar active/passive house. There's still some painting(water based) work to finish the house off, plus I'm also percolating some plans to build a house connected greenhouse. I am currently seeking help from a couple of travellers for some basic property mai...

Hei ! Here is Ingunn and Mathieu. We are a Norwegian-French couple and since mai 2021 a happy family of three. Our family house "Karnes Gaard" is a farm since the 16th century. In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. When Ingunn took over the farm in 2009, running it organically felt something obvious. And when Solhov was for sale the next year, a dream became possible : sharing our love for the Lyngen Alps by hosting guests who seek breathtaking surroundings, healthy stay and organic local food, peaceful lifestyle and carbon-free activities. Our dream is to serve as much as possible our organic and local products to these guests. Originally we grow potatoes and strawberries. We are trying several small scale production to see what is possible to grow here up north. At the moment, we are focusing in : - increasing our honeybees park, hives and flowers -...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Hi We will be looking for helpers to harvest our walnuts from mid March to mid April this year. The work is not difficult and it is a nice environment to work in. Tasks include using a small harvesting machine or hand held nut rollers to pick up the walnuts, then putting them through a washing machine and a sorting machine before they go into drying bins. We live 25 minutes north west of Christchurch on an established property with a big garden, and tennis court. We have a sleepout with a queen sized bed and a spare room also with a queen sized bed in the house. Our house is warm and comfortable. We have tools for fitting out your car/van. We also have a car for sale. There’s plenty of space to relax - we have table tennis, outdoor tennis court, table football, and it’s not far to the beach and mountains. We both like to cook good food from many different countries that we share with you. We have travelled extensively both in New Zealand and in the world. We have done a lot of hiking i...

This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and my farm is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. My place is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away. Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list. Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transport that's not a problem...

Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens only 40 minutes from Hobart, and operate for only 3 days a week. A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. Your Help can be in the restaurant, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out! I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences. Cheers, Mike.

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis.

My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...

The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

Our 5 acre Lifestyle block is situated in SouthWest Hamilton, within easy reach of Hamilton Gardens, the centre of town and Hamilton Airport ( all about 10 minutes away). Raglan and Sanctuary Mountain take about 45 minutes and Hobbiton and Waitomo caves are under one hour. You can also drive to Rotorua and Tauranga in under an hour and a half. Your accommodation is a self- contained unit with kitchenette, bathroom, queen bed, wifi and TV. We can also put a mattress on the floor. Your own car is a good idea however there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway to get into town. We also don’t mind you using our swimming pool during the summer. For free accommodation and wifi we need some help each day which might include weeding, sweeping, hedge trimming, cleaning, house sorting , house renovation//building/painting and grass cutting depending on your experience! We look forward to meeting new guests and although we don’t normally provide food during your stay with us we are sure to i...

Helpers!!! Need help!) Especially for carpentry work to build a pergola at the barbeque area Looking for the helper. I am in a permanent building process of my old stone house. Any building skills are very welcome!!)) Masonry, carpentry, strong hands and clever mind - all I need here)) The house is situated very close to the cost of Atlantic ocean. Big plot of land rounded the house - so garden skills are welcome too. The place is really nice to stay for the nature lovers and surf fans. There are dozen absolutely stunning beaches around here almost empty when the tourist season is over. Really beautiful mountains full of chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn. Fishing and horse riding are available too (I have a beautiful stallion). And of course the costal views are amazing (authentic paradise for the photo enthusiasts)! Preferably artistic minded people mostly the painters who can share there knowledge and art skills. Artists with strong hands are welcome))

From the agricultural antiques you may be cleaning and organizing, to working in the gardens. W...
