We breed and raise dwarf goats and chickens and ducks. We are a 162 acre farm, next to the Puketi Forest near Kerikeri. We have hills, streams & ponds and are centrally located for sight seeing. Your own suite with toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle etc. 25 mins to Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We ask for 5 hours work a day for accommodation and food. We have good and plentiful food here, as I am a chef! Chores focus on the farm, the land, goats, projects, weeding and fence clearing. Also can include planting, landscaping and painting and work on my new pottery studio build-out, and many more, depending on your skills. Also, we have projects to get stuck into, that vary on the time of year. We can collect you from the bus stop or Kerikeri Airport. We usually have other young helpers also.. ** Note: We do Farm Stay also, that is like Air BNB for people who want to get out of the town and experience a NZ farm lifestyle. Thanks Julia

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening& weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chickens. You may even have some riding lessons if you are keen to experience this. Meals and accommodation are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft things I can give you some lessons) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , hardware shop, chemist, hotels, swimming pool, so our little town has most things that yo...

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

This is a busy fun jungle hostel. Our volunteers contribute their creative energy and talent at our busy jungle hostel. We are located in the Panamanian highlands (on the main road between both oceans) on more than 30 acres of rain forest (cloud forest) and re-purposed organic coffee farm. Because it is one of the only pieces of titled land, the community is looking to us alone to develop tourism. We are the deepest private reserve within the La Fortuna nature park. We host backpackers, volunteers, scientists, nature enthusiasts, birders etc. Because we want to employ as many persons from the local community as possible, volunteers are not simply used to cut down our labor costs. Minimum commitment length we are looking for from volunteers is 1 month We look forward to sharing the experience of living in the jungle with you. We are in the Lonely Planet book in both the Central America on a shoestring book as well as the Panama book. Our hostel has very favorable reviews elsewhere. ...

Hello, We live 25 km from Picton in the Marlborough Sounds on the seaside. It is just myself and my partner Red in the house and there is a spare outside room and a caravan. The views are spectacular and it is hard not to waste a lot of time enjoying them. We feed the bellbirds and Tuis on the deck every day and they are very near. Here you are constantly surrounded by native bird song. I can pick you up in Linkwater by arrangement. Linkwater is our closest town although its only a Pub and a petrol station but its on the main Queen Charlotte road which runs between Picton and Havelock. So we are in a remote place but in a beautiful peaceful place. If you are finishing the Queen Charlotte track we can pick you up if you pay for petrol - $25. We have 4 free range chickens and a very friendly dog. We are organic gardeners with 20 plus years experience in this way of life and eat and forage and fish a lot. We enjoy a life of less money and more time. We live next to the beach which is ...

For over 20 years, we have hosted backpackers happy for a chance to take a break from travelling for a few months. We require 2 days’ work per week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Most of the work is either gardening: including raking, digging, mulching, weeding and removing dead or fallen branches; or housekeeping: spring cleaning the main Homestead, or washing windows, cleaning gutters or decobwebbing around our guest cottage. Also there are general tasks like collecting firewood or filling pot-holes in the driveway. The work is not exciting, but the environment is beautiful! In exchange, our helpers live rent-free in their very own, private bluestone cottage (pictured); with a full-sized kitchen, double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and separate living/dining room with wood fire, TV and free Wi-Fi; and a lovely big verandah. Electricity, gas and water are all included free, as well as linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and cookware. As we only ask for 2 days’ work per week, our helpe...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

A top rated organic farm in Tuscany is welcoming volunteers who are passionate and ideally have some experience in vegetable farming for the 2026 season: March to November. Marc and I purchased and took over this place in December 2023, and we are expanding both the farm and hospitality operations. We are looking for a couple (friends, partners, siblings) with experience, skills and knowledge in organic and regenerative vegetable farming. And, as we are still in the process of adding more facilities to the property, additional skills in construction, maintenance, as well as wood working, trail making, etc. or the flexibility and interest in learning these skills would be very helpful. Our 2026 season starts in May, but we will need to start planting and preparing for the season. We are currently looking for individuals who are available from mid-March for at least 1 month or longer. Hours are flexible, based on needs, but helping hours will average about 5-6 hours a day, per per...

We have an island retreat in Nelson (near Motueka) on 10 acres and a home in central Nelson. There is plenty to do with weeding, taking care of the garden and cutting grass. Our beach house, near Motueka is on a small island. The ideal helper(s) is self sufficient, detail oriented and a self starter. Our island retreat is about 100 metres off Port Motueka, then another kilometre along the beach, facing Tasman bay and across from the Abel Tasman National Park. Our home in central Nelson is a 5 minute walk from down town. We have 2 Kayaks and an SUP. So hope you like the water. The work consists of gardening and general housekeeping. An average of about 3 hours work per day is sufficient. Recommend a week stay or more because of the logistics of getting you there and showing you around etc. It is an "off the grid" solar home. There is a limited wifi that is sufficient for email, and internet. We will supply some but not all food. (depends on the situation) We usually h...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having your own car...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

The Okanagan Valley is the fruit basket of BC, long hot summers and snow fun in the winter. I live on 3 acres, whuch includes a garden project to grow willow and other natural fibres for weaving into sculptures. I am in the process of replanting my vineyard which suffered massive loss over some challenging previous winters My view is of the Okanagan mountains with the 135km lake visible as you hike up behind the house. The hiking trails are extensive from the door, and swimming in the lake a 10 minute drive away. Big White and Silver Star ski resorts are within an hour driving distance and offer great summer hiking. I grew about 5 to 7 tonnes of Pinot Noir grapes and still need seasonal ( March to the end of October) help in the vineyard also general maintenance around the property and house. There is a big artistic community in the area and I weave sculptures from the vine canes and willow and host workshops in my studio on the property. Willing to share weaving tips. Single travelle...

Kiaora! We are a couple (he =Kiwi, she= Canadian 20yrs+ living in NZ) blessed to live and tend to a beautiful piece of land on the West Coast in Whaingaroa/Raglan. Our place is both remote and central - up a hill away from society but only 8mins to town and 12-15mins to surf beaches. The best of all worlds! We are interested in hosting independent, tidy, motivated helpers for general garden work - pruning, weeding, watering. And have a lovely self contained cottage in which to offer a remote, quiet and beautiful place to stay. Essential that you have your own transport and are feline friendly as we have x2 cute and curious cats likely to visit. We are happy to share occasional meals, conversation and answer questions about this area or NZ surrounds, though our schedules don’t allow for us to provide consistent cooking the cottage has a full fledged kitchen to use. If you’re in need of some quiet immersion with Nz landscape with accessibility to all that Raglan has to offer this may ...

Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop. We are about 2km from the township of Wentworth Falls, 4km from Leura and 6km from Katoomba, so best suited to those who have their own transport.

A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.

Minimum Stay is 2 weeks. ESCAPE THIS MODERN MADNESS...become self-sufficient and self-reliant. Plan for future increasing restrictions. We are a couple from czech+uk lived here for 20+ years and have 110 acre almost self sufficient farm set in the jungle with nearly 1 mile of jungle riverside, three miles from Hopkins Village a wonderful Garifuna cultural beach village and 1/4 mile from main road via farm road.

Big White and Silver Star ski resorts are within an hour driving distance and offer great summer hiking.
