Currently looking for helpers from November 2026 to April 2027. Sorry, NO helpers needed from May to October as I rent out my bedrooms to summer workers in our area.. Languages spoken: English, French, Spanish, Japanese ( I am a former high school and college language teacher) Used book store with over 350,000 used books requires helpers/volunteers to sort, repair, clean, price and put books on shelves. Other tasks include vacuuming, dusting, helping customers find books, reading to children, finding books for request lists and tidying books on shelves Helpers would work about 5-6 hours a day. (I ask for an extra hour if I pay for a nice meal for you at a restaurant.) I also need help at home - rake leaves, shovel snow, clean the shower, do the dishes as I work at the bookstore 9 hours a day! Winter requires help to shovel snow at home and at the store - this is sometimes the biggest need in winter. Be aware that it can be very cold here in the winter. -30 degrees Celsius is a...

Our “hacienda” was founded in 1995. At first, it was just a converted farmhouse with a donkey stable. Five years ago, a horse stable with three horses was added. For almost two years now, there has been a small comprehensive school, which now needs an additional classroom. We demolished four dilapidated garages and are now building the new classroom on this site. The move-in date was planned for January 1, but has now been postponed to 1st of April However, the construction work will certainly continue into the spring. We welcome any help with the timber construction of the shared canopy with the main building and with the installation of the exterior insulation in the concrete area. Then the floor of the passageway area would need to be laid with composite stones. Secondarily, there is always work to be done on the farm: The usual winter tasks include maintaining the paddock, the paddock trail and the few horse pastures. The fruit trees and hedges around the farm also need to be prun...

We are a well traveled couple living on the Tennessee River. We have had visitors from all over the world. We usually have several projects, some very interesting, some mundane. Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

Hello and welcome to beautiful Nelson! I recently sailed back to Nelson from Tonga and my yacht requires a bit of maintenance after sailing in the tropics for a few months. I have a comfortable private room available for 1 or 2 persons (female or male) who are interested in assisting me to clean and prepare my yacht for the coming summer sailing season. Maintenance jobs are varied and not hard, hospitality involves general housekeeping duties. I will assist with both maintenance and housekeeping, am happy to teach when necessary and always willing to listen to suggestions. As for sailing.. I enjoy occasionally sailing to the Abel Tasman National Park and going for hikes when the weather is cooperating. My yacht has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen and saloon. I am generally a quiet person who enjoys reading, conversation and exercise. This is important - I do not permit drugs aboard my yacht and only light drinking (no parties). The ideal helper(s) will be detail oriented...

Thanks to all the helpers that have given us a hand. We close for the Winter months and look for help again in March 2026. So if you are self motivated and planning ahead, send us a message and we will get back to you. We are in the countryside, a bus passes our gate 3 times a day. There are a few bicycles to borrow. Lovely walks through the Woods. Take a day trip to see Cliffs of Moher, visit Galway. Listen to Irish music in one of our local pubs. You can help out in the Garden, chopping wood, watering plants and vegetables to light domestic duties. When we get time we get more creative as it's a big property and there is always something to do. You will live in your own quarters with other volunteers. Food is included. Also WIFI. The day typically starts at 11am and finishes 4pm with a break in-between. Two days off to go and explore the area. We prefer to get people for a minimum of 3 weeks stay. Let us know if you are interested and message us with your profile.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. *** Looking for 1-2 girls to assist with housekeeping and gardening around the lodge from Feb 20th *** Hi there! We have a large modern house 70m from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment. Our kiwi family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand. As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax. Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the property with misc tasks that suit your tal...

Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-u...

SUMMARY We are a family of 3 offering help exchange at our project in a small, rural, historic subsistence farming settlement on the edge of a small uplands village in East Algarve. Our location is a low density population areas of Portugal despite being only 25 minutes from the extensive Algarve coastline and the picturesque town of Tavira. Here we are renovating several small and simply constructed stone buildings with surrounding land of approximately 0.75ha. We re also heavily involved in working with the land to create a productive, green oasis in the arid landscape. OUR WORK Our current focus is on developing our land and surroundings, bit by bit, to rehabilitate the run down building elements with as light a touch as possible. We favour the use of natural materials where possible in our rehabilitation work. With the land, our approach is more radical and we are bringing in a wide variety of plants to propagate, to restore the soil and re-green the landscape. We grow some of ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We are on a 65 acre farm in North Pope County, Illinois and are virtually surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Having been on this farm for ten years, we are still developing infrastructure and are continuing to plant in the orchard and various berries as well as establishing and expanding garden and crop areas. We are a GMO, herbicide and pesticide free farm in all of our outdoor areas. As we are far away from "modern agricultural" property, we feel that we should have no problems with cross pollination of our crops with GMO's or damage/exposure from/to ag chemicals. There are many projects currently in process or in the planning stages. This summer/fall we hope to get new water and electric lines ran to all the barns and the greenhouse as well as get a fiber studio framed in and get the finishing touches on the greenhouses. Tasks on the farm are endless, so there are always things to do year round. Clearing brush, cutting wood, building fence, baling hay, sawing lumber, ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Sheep are sheared so now they have their new winter outfit, they'll stay in the warmth of the barn. Sowe need some volunteers to feed the sheep and make yourself friend sheep while you clean the barn to keep it nice for them. Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Currently looking for helpers from November 2026 to April 2027. Sorry, NO helpers needed from May to October as I rent out my bedrooms to summer workers in our area..

The area offers abundant opportunities for wildlife photography, miles of hiking, and excellent fishing. For those interested in astrophotography, the night skies here are Bortle 2, bordering on Bortle 1—some of the darkest skies in the lower 48. Guests have a private 11' x 21' bedroom with a private WC and walk-in shower. Laundry facilities are available. Internet access is strong, but there is no cell service except for phones that support Wi-Fi calling. We do have indoor dogs and cats. It is not a good choice for folks with dog or cat allergies. Guests share the kitchen, preparing some meals independently and joining gr...

Sheep are sheared so now they have their new winter outfit, they'll stay in the warmth of the barn. Sowe need some volunteers to feed the sheep and make yourself friend sheep while you clean the barn to keep it nice for them. There can be some other extra task Beggi (the farmer) can ask you to do, but still, you'll have free time to enjoy hot spots and swimming pool! You can of course text even if you're available another time of the year ! Message us on WhatsApp or on HelpX. My WhatsApp number is above. Send me (Caroline, who runs the HelpX) a message (here, on WhatsApp or Instagram caroline.lsgt). You can also message Beggi (the farmer) directly via Facebook (Alexander Flumbri), named after Beggi's cat! Profile picture is of the cat as well (Beggi doesn't have that many hair!)! Where to start? We are a family in the western part of Iceland, at the gates of the Westfjords, Beggi runs the sheep farm. We have more than 500 sheep and all possible troubles that can be connected to she...
