WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

Hi there! I live on a small lifestyle block about 10km inland from Oamaru. I have two horses, a few chickens (including a rooster) and a cat, and will need help with the garden and grounds, e.g. cutting hedges, digging the ground, lawn mowing, picking up horse poo etc. If you like horses you are welcome to keep them entertained too, but it’s not a requirement. If the weather is terrible, there would be plenty to do inside as well (cleaning etc.). I would expect helpers to work for 3-4 hours per day, in exchange for a comfortable bed and food, or 2 hours for just a bed. Minimum stay 4 nights. I am originally from Austria, but have lived in New Zealand for the past 15 years. My availability will depend a little bit on my work schedule, so if you have some flexibility with your dates, it will be easier for me to accomodate you. It is highly recommended that you have your own transport, as you will get more out of your stay that way. My property is right next to the Alps 2 Ocean cycle...

In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. 🌿 Help Restore Native Forest & Care for Rescued Animals – Pahoia (Tauranga/Katikati) Since 2014, Tracey has been restoring former farmland into thriving native bush, creating a beautiful public coastal walkway while caring for a unique animal rescue sanctuary. The property is now home to Rebel the pony, Bramble the rescued deer, turtles, ducks, chickens, geese, guinea fowl, doves and many other rescued animals. Daily tasks include feeding and caring for rescued animals, weeding around native trees (“releasing” them so they can grow), gardening, planting, and general maintenance such as painting, building, landscaping or cleaning. We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

I am a principal of a primary school. We have so far 35 foster kids and we would love to have volunteers in our small organisation and at our school. We welcome visitors here and if you want, we can pick you from the airport Entebbe and you can just pay the fuel or when you are already in Uganda and you want to come to Masaka, we can pick you from the bus park in Masaka for free. 2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity corporation, dedicated to ending abuse and neglect of horses by providing a sanctuary for older horses to live out their lives, also doing limited rescue and networking to provide foster home opportunities for horses, but primarily teaching volunteers to become superb-caliber horsemasters themselves, thus ensuring that in future generations, there will be no need for rescue any longer, because the demand for horses, by people qualified to (and desirous of) caring for them will outstrip the supply of the horses themselves. I suffered a brain tumor with resultant partial paralysis in 2005, hence my need for volunteers to help me with day-to-day tasks. I always have a large list of tasks needing to be done, from which volunteers choose as they like. No mucking because the horses live on pasture or at least in paddocks 24/7. Tasks range from grooming and ground-schooling greenies (leading, longeing, line-driving, and so forth) to riding o...

My name is Kara and I decided to leave the madness of the big city of Amsterdam to live in an off-grid mountain home surrounded by nature. After pausing my project for few years to travel, I have now returned and am continuing to develop it. There is always something to do, such as gardening, planting flowers and trees, and occasional small repairs. Being handy is appreciated but not required. I share my home with cats and a dog, so animal lovers are especially welcome.

We are located in the heart of Berlin, one of Europe's most exciting and diverse cities. With its vibrant cultural scene, world-class museums, historic landmarks, countless cafés, parks, and excellent public transport, Berlin is the perfect place to experience urban life while enjoying a welcoming home environment. We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). Normally, I already have people helping me until the end of august, so I'm looking for someone from this period. I mainly need someone to help me harvest the spirulina but also sometimes to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, and also everything else that goes along with the spirulina production: clearing brush, chopping wood, going to markets from time to time, house construction, etc... ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

I have 13 meter sailboat that is undergoing a mini refit. I am very experienced after 27 years sailing in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Getting on in years now so would be good to have some younger muscle on the boat. Come for a day or two or longer. Depends on how we get on and what sort of time you have for an adventure. There is always maintenance on a boat of this size, so life is an endless procession small projects.Usually work in the morning and have the afternoons off. Love a good laugh, so hopefully you have a good sense of humour. The boat is in Auckland at a very nice marina. Access to the city by ferry. There is free parking if you have a vehicle. I recently took the boat to Kawau Island in a very strong SW wind. Great sailing and doing 8 and half knots at times. At the moment I am working on changing the way the mainsail is handled.

We have space for helpers now at our homely hostel in Nelson and we'd love to hear from you. Cleaning work is around up to 2 hours a day with one day off a week to explore our beautiful region. We say minimum stay is 3 weeks but most stay a lot longer (sometimes many months) and now you get to keep a cool TBB Team T-shirt when you do!). In return for your work you get accommodation, breakfast & every night we serve up hot chocolate pudding and ice cream. Also free use of washing machine & free unlimited 24 hr wifi. Every week we have a shared lunch - usually home-made vege soup & bread and $ towards a shared meal with others doing a similar role. And sometimes the use of sauna/cold plunge. Tasks will be mainly helping to clean the hostel, but might also be gardening, painting, maintenance, etc..... there's always lots to do depending on your strengths and interests. We extra value people that are very keen, enthusiastic, and love to help out in any way to give our guests the...

Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hi, my name is Phil, I live in a beautiful wooded valley a short walk from the sea. I'm a woodworker and manage a 2 acre garden growing ornamentals and edibles for my landlady. In 2021 I planted a small woodland and forest garden a short walk from my home. In the garden, help is mainly weeding, pruning, veg growing, making compost and propogating. On the land we will look after the young and old woodland, orchard, evergreen garden and potager. Occasionally you may be able to help me building timber structures or planting trees. The house has a shared kitchen (where we can take turns/cook together), living space and bathroom. You will have your own private bedroom and second living room. There is limited phone signal, but it is often found walking around the village. On days off you can explore the jagged coastline, temperate rainforest and rolling hills. There's good walking, swimming, SUPing, kayaking and surfing. I will be able to show you lots of great places too, if you wish...

The property overlooks the ocean. Accommodation is separate to the house. It is a relaxing place with mostly odd jobs to do. I am a big fan of reusing materials, things here are very rustic in many ways. I have a small orchard that I am nurturing. Accommodation is a tiny house come comfortable container overlooking the ocean. Iam a stir fry fan, so expect plenty of food with an Asian flare. I am happy to cater for vegetarians. Beautiful Sapphire Beach is 5 minutes away by bicycle.

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Tracey is a well-known local volunteer who has spent years helping both wildlife and the community, but she can’t do it alone anymore. If you enjoy nature, animals and meaningful volunteer work, we’d love to welcome you. We ask for around 4 hours of help per day. Daily tasks include feeding and caring for rescued animals, weeding around native trees (“releasing” them so they can grow), gardening, planting, and general maintenance such as painting, building, landscaping or cleaning. Volunteers stay in accommodation with kitchen, bathroom and beds, while enjoying stunning sun...

So whoever is ready to come is welcome. Due to the inflation and rise of prices of things in Uganda, we will always charge 15 dollars per night, this includes accommodation, local meals, wishing clothes, Water bills, Electricity bills and other simple things that you need help like taking you to town and move around to the place like Lake Nabugabo and for internet use at home.

I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing experiences, and having good conversations. Guest have a private room and WIFI access.

I would kindly ask you to help with painting, fencing, gardening, sweeping leaves, cleaning and maintaining the house, as well as feeding and caring for the animals. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your free time. You will have your own private room, and I will provide breakfast and one warm meal each day. If you enjoy cooking in a holistic and nutritious way, you are more than welcome to do so. I am always happy to share my knowledge about healthy food and learn from others as well.

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. We are a small family run business based in the beautiful West Highlands of Scotland. Our business comprises of glamping pods and a small working croft with cows, hens, goats, Alpacas, horses and sheep. We are situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe overlooking the stunning Glencoe mountains. The local town of Fort William is a 15 min drive by car or bus. We are also only 2 hours from Glasgow which has regular rail and bus links.
