Our land is used to graze sheep for most of the year and make feed for nearby farms in the summer. Hello my name's Linda. I am a Queens English speaking intelligent lady, in her early 60's. Animal LOVER. Previously had lived in incredibly touristiky tacky Marmaris in Turkey more than 16 years running private boat and fishing charters. BUT NOW on with my next about turn adventure and BIG life change having bought a very old part renovated Cortijo/FARMHOUSE in Spain, Andulucia, Granada Province on the beautiful but windy Costa Tropical famous for its exotic fruit and vegetable growing. I am 7km inland from the sea a 15/20 minutes by car journey down the gulley's mountain track from the Barranco/Ravine and Rambla/Riverbed to the coasts traditional fishing village Castell de Ferro, officially named as one of the Magical Villages of Spain on the coast below the sea and mountainous Alpujarra's and Sierra Nevada's. The Cortijo is mostly renovated and large, she stands solitary on the slopes of a low mountain lea below Mount Lujar, I am at 350meters above sea level. Amazing mountain and se...

Time to get out of the weather and your van and into a warm, comfortable home? Join us in paradise, for a week of recovery? Happy people, 2 friends or a couple are all welcome! We’d love to meet you anytime, (from the middle of May only, as we are booked prior) These beautiful, green (4 hectares) are VERY close to New Plymouth City and Mt Taranaki, yet they have that peaceful feeling of being far out in the country. Egmont National Park is at the end of our street, so you could do a day hike to the gorgeous Tarn Lakes (reflections of Mt Taranaki in the waters) or stay overnight at the new Pouakai “Hut”. Maori culture, galleries, restaurants and funky, hip cafés abound. Famous surf breaks invite you to hire a surfboard and “catch some waves”. There are many famous places near us like the beautiful Pukekura Park, (home of the WOMAD Music Festival), the Instagram spot on Te Rewa Rewa Bridge where you can walk/cycle into the city along the Coastal Walkway. Our ”farm” is so peaceful that ...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

Hello. I’m Paolo, a recently retired musician. I live in a mountain area made of rounded, wooded peaks in the inland of the Italian Riviera, at the point of connection between two regions, Tuscany and Liguria, widely renown for art towns (Pisa, Lucca, Florence among others) and picturesque fishing villages. It’s a quiet setting to get away from it all, with a 360 degree view stretching for tens of miles and right down to the Mediterranean Sea, only 25 km/15 miles away. Here is where the Alta Via (High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) starts, a long-distance waymarked hiking trail for nature lovers. I speak Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent). I’m looking for volunteers who are self-motivated and good with their hands, willing to help me with general maintenance around my property in exchange for food and lodging in a friendly environment. I appreciate a baggage of life experience that is not too small, so volunteers in their mid to late twenties at least and in t...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

We're always looking for assistance in property maintenance in the fields and on our private bike park. We also quite often are on the lookout for those who have experience in web content and photo and video editing to help update our websites. Please read!! 😀 We have a peaceful, rural lifestyle block with a number of heritage chickens and a cat and dog. Our residence is a scenic 20-minute drive out of Nelson. For this reason, having your own transport is ideal (but not a deal breaker!). We offer rooms and/or studio accommodation and food / meals to hard-working folks happy to help out with various projects around the property, including gardening, landscaping, building and improving our mountain bike and jump track, mowing, weed whacking, eliminating weeds, some house cleaning, cutting fire wood, and other non-technical chores. The majority of our tasks suit physically fit individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Weekly required hours of work is 27.5 hours. We are flexible about...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Lifestyle farmstay helpers - we are looking for a couple now for at least one month. We are a couple in our 50's that live on a lifestyle property under the wonderful Mount Tamahanga, near the Te Araroa Trail. We have a cat, chickens and some sheep. Half of our land is New Zealand native bush that is busy regenerating, the other half is pasture and gardens. Big Omaha is about 1hr +\- NE of Auckland. We are keen to have 2 helpers (couple preferably) for work on our property ie, tidy up of the property, weeding, mulching, planting, gardening, etc. The property has a lot of clearing to be done, quite a few planting projects and although not organic we like to consider permaculture on our land. We would like to do one project at a time with your stay of a month at a time. We are looking for anyone who is fit, has initiative, willing to work in all weather, can complete a job to a good standard and who is comfortable getting their hands dirty. We have a small but warm, comfortable home wh...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Need someone for May for 4 to 6 weeks West Coast Canada Experience Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. Where East meets West, halfway between Oslo and Bergen, you’ll find our historic family farm Ødelien, beautifully situated 750 meters above sea level in the mountain village of Leveld. Surrounded by forests and mountains, this is a special place for anyone who enjoys nature, quiet surroundings, and outdoor life. The farm also has two beautiful mountain farms where you might get to visit or stay. This summer we are finishing a building project on our mountain chalet, alongside the daily work of running the farm and our tourist cabins. I am responsible for the day-to-day operations, and you will mainly be in contact with me. The farm has been in the family for generations, with some buildings dating back to 1865. Today, the main activity is running nine tourist cabins, welcoming guests who come to experience the mountains and the peaceful atmosphere. About us: We are a family with three children. Me Tone grew up on this farm, but have also been travelling the world and volunteering ...

Hello, my name is Florent, I'm 45 years old, I was a chef for about twenty years, and since 2017 I've been a spirulina producer. Spirulina is a microalga that's very rich in nutrients. It's a very environmentally friendly crop, requiring little energy and no pesticides. Spirulina needs sun and warmth to grow. The harvest season in our region runs from April to October, and it's during this period that I'm interested in hosting someone (I don't need two people at the same time, one is enough). I already have people helping me until the end of july, so I'm looking for someone from this period. Since 2017, I worked with a partner who left for other ventures at the beginning of this year, and I now work alone. We've already had several interns on our farm. I need someone to help me out on the farm with various tasks, as we do everything ourselves: harvesting the spirulina, cleaning, labeling, packaging, general maintenance and odd jobs, communication, deliveries, farm tours, online or...

Spring May 2, 2026 - opening and for the month of MAY :) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this SPRING with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home a...

Hello, I live in the beautiful Charente region 16140, and am looking for help with all sorts of jobs, from feeding the donkeys and other animals to painting and helping in the garden 😊 I am slowly bringing this lovely old château back to life after being empty and abandoned for many years. I enjoy growing my own organic vegetables and looking after my animals. I recently planted an orchard and have lots of other projects I'd love your help with. In the past I've shared some wonderful times with helpers, many of whom remain friends and have visited several times. In return I offer a comfortable bedroom in the chateau with 3 meals a day, and cooked as much as possible with our fresh produce. I would like your help for 5 hours a day with weekends off. There is lots to explore like little villages and towns and the river. The coast is about an hour's drive away. The Charente river is at the bottom of the garden and there are some lovely walks right outside the door, there are also b...

We also have a herd of Shetland sheep for wool, a couple of family milk Jersey cows, a small flock of meat birds (arriving in June) and a larger flock of free-range hens and chicks for eggs. We are seeking a helper or two to visit our farm during the months of May through mid October, 2025. Helpers can stay for a period of 2 - 4 weeks primarily to help out with vegetable/berry gardening and harvesting plus animal chores each morning, including hand milking. We also offer helpers opportunities to learn how to preserve/ferment foods, bake sourdough bread, make tallow, butter, s...

Accommodation offered is in our home. You would have your own room. We also have a smaller, clean and comfortable trailer on the property. We live a 7 min drive to town and there are buses or a bike to ride. We live just a short 10 min walk from the Cowichan River, great for swimming! This is a quiet rural property of 2.3 acres with acreages surrounding us. There is great hiking in the area. We are active people who like to bike, hike, kayak and row. The majority of the help we need is in our garden. Preparing the soil for planting, moving mulch, planting, weeding, pruning etc. The work is relatively easy. There are fruit trees, raspberries, blueberries and a lot of ground to plant. We cook mostly vegan food and can be gluten free if requested. We are a queer couple and have an 20 year old son and 22 year old eldest child. We are musicians and love to cook really healthy food. You are welcome to join us in our outings. We have a beautiful Saturday market near by and so much to see. ...

We are restoring an old traditional Béarnaise house located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the Ouzom valley. We want to share it with people who can help us with the garden as well as with the house to maintain or restore it. Assistance activities concern the maintenance or restoration of buildings (lime plaster, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc), maintenance of the garden (brush clearing) and its vegetable garden, whether it is windy or raining, depending on the projects in progress and the skills of each. Slug hunting to be planned every evening at nightfall. Once a week a complete cleaning of the premises will be carried out by all. We ask for 5 hours help a day, 5 days a week. We offer accommodation in a large 4-bed dormitory. Please, bring your work gloves and clothes , if you have any. Everyone must be autonomous and responsible enough to know how to clean and store the tools or things they have used, as well as to participate daily, outside helping time, in all the househo...

This is where you come when you’re finished with the norm and its systems. Thinking outside the box and voluntary simplicity inform my life. There is joy in the cycles of life. There are lambs and baby rabbits. The kale and chard are blooming to reseed. Spring is blooming and the tree frogs are singing. Im planning on creating a new chicken house this year. If you’re capable with a hammer and saw, have I got stuff for you to do 😎 im not looking for a professional carpenter. This is git er dun, use what you have type building. People wanting to learn gardening and food ways are always welcome- carpentry skills UN nescessary. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, more food forest which includes...

Hello Helpers! We are Deborah and Malcolm: artists and retired art and design lecturers. Our home is surrounded by a beautiful garden with fantastic sea views in a quiet residential area of Torquay on the English Riviera. One photograph shows the view from our home overlooking the sea of Lyme Bay, with other photos of our garden plus a 'Hello' photograph of us. For many years, we were a host family for students learning English at local language schools and we enjoy teaching visitors about our language and culture. We have enjoyed hosting Helpers from across the world through HelpX since 2023. Torquay is in the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark, a beautiful area of interesting geology with the caves: Kents Cavern, just under the hill from our home. Works to be done, mainly gardening, some DIY, some sewing, some artistic or creative projects. Will be hosting when temperature is rising again (spring) due to very slow renovation of the part where helpers sleep indoors…. So I hope you like camping! In mid 2014 I bought a terrific place from the family only 10km away from Eindhoven in the midst of a village. This place is gonna be a beautiful place where people can take indoor and outdoor yoga lessons overlooking the fields. There's gonna be a garden for fruits and vegetables and herbs, a small campground for a couple of tents and two bedrooms for people who wanna sleep indoors. But before this is reality, a lot of work needs to be done! Ooh and I got a new plan, a nice wooden house in the midst of the garden... And due to technical problems I switched to another site since 2017… and hosted another 200 work awayhands from all over. But I was curious again to this site now it looks improved. But can’t host this winter due to ren...

Hello my name's Linda. I am a Queens English speaking intelligent lady, in her early 60's. Animal LOVER.

Professional husband (pharmacist) and wife (retired veterinarian) operate a small, but beautiful no spray & no till market garden farm in the lovely Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. We sell at one weekly market plus attend a couple of festivals during the summer months. Our farm is open on Fridays and Saturdays to the public with the purpose of selling u-pick fruits, vegetables and eggs direct to the public.

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of May. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a post office and a small shop AND ex...

The South West Coast path, Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Torre Abbey, Torquay Museum with an Agatha Christie Gallery and Cockington village and craft centre are easy walking distance from our home. Totnes and the cities of Exeter and Plymou...
