Update: we are looking for a single or couple to stay from 21st April onwards 😊 We are on an off-grid organic permaculture property on a big hill with amazing sea & rural views, along with spectacular sunrises & sunsets. We live in a 2 bedroom rammed earth house, where you would be in your own bedroom and share the facilities. We need help with gardening, looking after our toddler (2 yo), planting, weeding, construction, crazy paving, painting, cleaning & laundry (we run a small glamping business with geodesic domes also). We would be very happy to teach you what we know about Permaculture (we both have our Permaculture Design Certificate), our Food forests, gardening, composting, etc. There are surfboards here that you can borrow, and, if it's summer & there's time - I could even give you some tips with surfing too! Our toddler is a very happy chill little dude that loves going outside & to the beach. Ideally we want people for at least 2 weeks or longer, but are flexible. We ...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in ...

Hello! Thank you for reading our profile. Guy, myself, and our dog Ava would love to welcome you to our home and community here in Far North Queensland — a place like no other. We live at the northern edge of the Daintree Rainforest, beside the pristine waters of Wallaby Creek, which is safe for swimming, and surrounded by beautiful bush walks. There is so much to enjoy here. Just a few kilometres north is the famous Lions Den Hotel, which offers live music during the tourist season and is a true local icon. Heading south through the Daintree to Port Douglas, you’ll find some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Australia. On your days off, we’d be delighted to take you exploring through the hills and show you some of the amazing places only locals know about. Living in the tropics means we experience severe weather events fairly often, especially during the wet season, with heavy rain, flooding, and cyclones. Fortunately, our home is on a hill and has remained safe. We are p...

Love to host a strong guy or 2, or a couple that have some gardening/farming experience or has carpentry to replace some trim and architraves or welding skills (projects include welding some pipe/RHS to make a few spinning shooting targets and maybe construct a beer keg smoker...and of course a bit of a spin for some snorkelling and fishing around the islands and reefs in the boats... Volunteers can use their time here to sign off for 7 days a week towards their 88 days 2nd or 3rd year visa sign off and we have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa as we are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for "disaster relief". Please make sure you let us know you are looking to get your visa days signed off so we can provide appropriate work from the cyclone recovery list...also be sure to answer the questions at the end of this description in your initial email to us... We are a family of four offering a comfortable, self‑contained one‑bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our accommodation is well suited to solo travellers, couples, or friends travelling together who are happy sharing a peaceful, family‑oriented environment. We have a queen sized bed in the bedroom for our guests, however there is also a day bed and a fold our sofa in the units living space that can be converted into additional beds if required. We -- two men, and sometimes our 33-year-old son Etienne, and sometimes an old HelpXer or two who are still coming back -- live in a beautiful old log house on a traditional, self-sufficient, Kootenay homestead. We've generally got chickens, sheep, ducks, gardens, fruit trees. We're in a small community surrounded by wilderness: Argenta is a friendly place of 120 people — Quakers, hippies and just folks — on the northern tip of Kootenay Lake, at one end of the Earl Grey Trail. (You can walk here in four days from Invermere, or come the more usual way by road!) There's always farm work (gardening, animals, preserving food and lots more) and lots of projects (building, fencing, wilderness trail building...). And, depending on the season, there's hiking, fishing, canoeing, sailing, skiing, skating and skinny-dipping (yup, lots of naked people here) in one of our ponds or in Kootenay Lake. We have a lot of homesteading experience and are very happy to share it. If you're interested...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We have an opening from starting 6th May 2026. We'd love for you to stay a minimum of 2 weeks, but longer is even better! A Typical Day: Wake up in your own private room. Help us out for a few hours in the morning with a mix of gardening, planting, and some general DIY projects. You'lll work by yourself mostly but I will help when need be, and if it's raining, we'll move indoors for something else. You'll have plenty of days off to relax and explore the area. The Perks: We'll provide a comfortable place to stay, delicious meals (a light breakfast and home-cooked dinners!), and all the comforts you need. NB - just in case you don't get to the end of the profile - we are vegetarian (mostly) - and we don't take picky eaters. - or smokers. We are terracing a steep section (with an amazing view), developing a fernery and planting out an orchard and native hedges. There are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden - usually with a load on.. We also have work repairing and painting garden furniture. We prefer hosting a couple or 2 friends who are keen gardeners - or have carpentry or brick laying skills - to help with garden maintenance. We also have a couple of hard-landscaping projects involving path construction and maintenance. Ideally, we would like people who are able to work with minimal supervision, who take pride in their work and want to do a job well, who are self-motivated, have ...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks. It’s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 117year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal arrangement (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, generous double bed, kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because we’re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we've developed the outdoor space into various "rooms", including a viewing platform in one of our higher trees (ideal for reading or dreaming on a dr...

We are a retired couple, enjoying a peaceful life on our 2.5 acres, surrounded by farm land overlooking the Strzelecky Ranges. We have two dogs, Shadow who's 14 and Daisy 4, and 9 chickens and 3 chicks. Serena has planted lots of trees and shrubs, a nice vegetable garden, but it's all getting out of hand! We'd like someone to assist us with carting mulch, cutting back trees and shrubs, splitting and stacking firewood (don't worry, we have a hydraulic log splitter), general garden maintenance jobs and perhaps some external painting (the house is due for a paint job, we have started already but there's plenty left!). We ask for 2 hours/day (for a couple) or 3 hours/day (single person) in return for lodging in your own studio apartment in the main house, with Queen bedroom, private sitting room, amenity area and private bathroom (if it happens to be booked out for an AirBnB we can accommodate you in our vintage Jayco Camper). Eric's a good cook so you won't go hungry! Essential you have ...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of APRIL. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local gra...

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

Hello everyone. Thanks for your interest. I am now looking particularly for HelpX . People who can stay at least a week would be great. If you’re interested please reply telling me a bit about yourself and your interests, skill sets and abilities. I look forward to hearing from you. Haumoana is a small, very artsy and alternative, semi rural seaside village. There are two surfing spots very close by. Yoga and pilates classes and great coffee shops 5 minutes away as well as a well provisioned grocery store near by. Miles of bike tracks, mostly off-road mean you can ride to the two larger towns Napier and Hastings on bikes I provide. If you don’t have your own transport you should be aware Haumoana does not have any public transportation and you will need to bike wherever you wish to go though sometimes I can offer to take you somewhere. You will be glamping in a tiny gorgeous cabin perched above a lagoon next to the beach with your own bathroom and private deck and simple kitchen....

Welcome! I am Fern. I live together with my 3 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! I love kirtan and am busy immersing ourselves in the local community. There maybe a proj...

Update: we have all the help we need in place until mid-July and then we are looking for one helper to work predominantly in the house helping with the B&B, but able to also cover some outdoor tasks in the garden too. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and ospreys. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the exte...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start sometime between mid-May and the end of June and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are p...

Work is edible gardening, minor building works, bee hive and fencing maintenance, farming activities, plus more! Having your own transport is an advantage, as there is no bus service where we live. Flexible working hours. Guests are non-smoking, non-vaping. Close community that we are involved in, with various activities. There is strong neighbourhood support. We look forward to hosting positive, energetic people.

Welcome!

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens. We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property. We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season. In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.  We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our yac...

Hello, i would be happy for help. There is a lot to do on this place, mostly in the garden. Technical help, e.g. installation of solar panel, building a greenhouse, renovation of an old cattle house would also be needed. A carpenter and a bricklayer would be also great. We are vegetarian ! :-) We are a couple in our best age, and are here since 5 years. We want to build a small place for meditation and Qi Gong here. We want this to become a place for living and coming together. We would be happy to meet you.
