We have a vineyard, olive trees and vacation houses near Tropea in Calabria. We need a couple to help us for some week from september to june for vintage, olive harvest, gardening, general maintenance and internet announcements. In autumn, winter and spring we have a lot to do in the vineyard, with the olive trees, the house and garden. Accommodation in a full equipped chalet offered. It is better to COME WITH CAR or rent it here. We expect you to work 2 and half hours a day (16-20) hours a week. You should buy and cook your food. We are used to give local products and teach you how to prepare traditional dishes. We appreciate if you work more hours on weekends because we are at home. You have a free day in the week. If we have time, we can show you around our region and our white sandy beaches. We would be glad to welcome people from all over the world to our home. We prefer couples. Feel free to write us an Email! It's possible to contact us early, that's not a problem!

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

We are a family (Tom, Sonja and our daughter) and we live in the South of Ireland, in the very scenic river Suir valley just 10km outside Waterford City and the nearest village is within walking distance. There is a regular bus service from the Cottage to Waterford City. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to experience a very lively international environment and to help us with our guest house, garden, and recently planted forest. We usually are looking for help with greeting guests, tidying up, cleaning, some light gardening, light forest maintenance, and DIY projects with Tom. If you are interested in helping us with this variety of interesting activities, we would love to hear from you. There is no need for prior experience, just an interest to learn new skills and good physical condition would be absolutely sufficient. If you like animals, we have two lovely ponies, several dogs & cats, and a few chickens and we are always happy to have help with looking after them,...

We live on a small hill farm in the beautiful county Wicklow known as the garden of Ireland. We are a family of four. Becky and Kilian and our daughters Zoe (11) and Bea (8). Fiona (18) is also staying with us this year as an au-pair. We are quite remote so it is very serene and peaceful and the view is amazing. We speak English and German as well as French. We farm organically and have 15 free range organic pigs as well as 2 horses and 5 cats. We also have a poly tunnel and farm garden where we grow vegetables for our own use. Becky works from home and Kilian when he is not farming, has an additional part time job which calls him away on projects from time to time. We live 1km outside a little village called Redcross. It has a pub that brews its own beers and there is also a restaurant, snack bar and shop. We are 20 minutes to drive from a town called Arklow which is on the sea and there is normally a chance to get a lift in but it’s only a 1 hour cycle. Wicklow is a cool part of t...

Over 30+ years, my husband and I created a beautiful space with large flowerbeds, vegetable and fruit garden, two polytunnels, meadows and wooded areas out of a 4 acre meadow. Sadly, my husband died in early 2019. It's a lot to manage on my own as I also work part-time in a woollen mills and as a translator. So I'm looking for help, from other women only. This involves planting, weeding, mulching, cutting grass, cutting hedges etc, about 5 hours a day with weekends off. Someone who likes cooking would be ideal!. I'm 63 and love cats (3), sea kayaking, gardening, yoga, music, singing and playing the cello (badly). I'm a vegetarian, non-smoker and non-drinker, so am ideally looking for women with a similar outlook. Definitely no smoking in the house anyway. The land is located in a lovely area of East Clare, close to Lough Graney. Lough Derg, the Burren and Galway city are easily accessible if you have your own car. If not, I can take you on some sightseeing trips or drop you to Gort...

Help us with renovating our house, orchard and vegetable garden! We (man, woman, 54 and 55 years old) have just bought a Spanish farm with an mandarin yard which we want to convert to a food forest (syntropic farming). Besides that, we want to convert some stables to living space, as well as the old house. We are experienced in building works, DIY, technical projects. It is such a great project, our new future, but we just have 4 hands ... ;) We hope to welcome international helper guests to give us a hand. We love to learn about other cultures, languages and have welcomed already many internationals in our former life in The Netherlands. Now we are continuing that in our new project in Spain. My husband is a technician and I am a orthomolecular nutrition therapist. We normally eat a healthy meal with meat/poultry/fish and vegetables. We find it important that our helpers guests are non-smokers. We would love to get help with our day to day DIY activities. Also, we would love to...

Living in Kyoto, Japan, we are a warm and welcoming family of three who enjoy sharing daily life with people from different cultures. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to join our family. Our hope is for our 6-year-old son to learn English and explore the world through fun, natural conversations and play. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and can be like a big sister to him, caring for him with kindness and respect. He is very energetic and loves to talk. If you enjoy playing Minecraft or Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll quickly become good friends with him. We are looking for help with playing with our son and light household tasks. Although I haven’t used this platform since registering, I have hosted many volunteers through another platform. We are still in good contact with them and we maintain positive relationships. We sincerely hope this stay will be relaxing, enjoyable, and a meaningful cultural exchange for ever...

Tucked up on top of a hill in the Forty Hills of Carrick live Brian and Sharilyn. We have had this property for about 13 years now, and have been working hard to create a self-sufficient homestead where we can create our art! Before we 'settled down' we did a lot of traveling ourselves and helpx-ed on many properties similar to ours. It amazing, the more you do, the harder it is to get everything done! We bake bread, preserve, cook, make wine, etc., etc. But now that we are 50-ish and running our own art business, we just don't have the same kind of time anymore and would love to share what we have with helpers! We have a spare bedroom in the house that you can use as long as you can tolerate cats! We love to grow as much as possible and have a large garden, orchard and greenhouse. We also keep chickens and geese, and in the summer raise pigs and lambs. Lots of opportunities to work outside maintaining the property, and if you are interested you can help out in the blacksmith ...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

For nature lovers only! It's a homestead in the paradisiac hills of Transylvania, away from the craziness of the so called civilised world and yet providing modern facilities like running water, electricity and Vodafone mobile and WiFi, although Wi-Fi very slow lately. It's an old property that needs love and restoring and also orchard that needs clearing of old trees to make space for new ones. Located at 750m altitude in the Apuseni Mountains under the Vulcan massif, a great climate to grow almost everything, surrounded by nature and wild animals, but nothing scary or dangerous. It is an extraordinary chance to experience the way people lived for thousands of years here, as they keep some of the old traditions and still do some things the old ways and use old tools. We've got lovely neighbours and the people around here are very friendly and eager to show you around and include you in their day to day life. A perfect place to enjoy summer as even with the very hot summers lately...

One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you are coming, hosts like to see who they are opening their home to. It's winter now, so we won't be working outside. I need someone right away to help with small handyman jobs or selling online eg: eBay, marketplace etc. Knowledge of Carpentry and Plumbing are always appreciated. Car mechanics are always helpful. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English. I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on. I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so ther...

Version française plus bas. __________________________________ Hello! We moved from Germany four years ago to the beautiful Gaspé-coast. We’re located 5km from the sea and we live midst a community of young people. Who’s “we”? Well, it’s Catherine (33 years old), Olaf (43 years old), Mathis (3 years) and Artemis, our cat. We're currently awaiting a second child that should be born this summer. We try to be as self-sufficient as possible on the food and work in our garden to make it a little bigger each year. We grow organic (not certified) vegetables of all kinds, berries, medicinal herbs, perennials and more. We also have a wood lot close by. We try to make our own seeds as much as possible and start our own seedlings in spring for the garden and the greenhouse. We also transform our harvest by drying, fermenting, canning, making juice etc. Of course there is always things to do around the house and inside, too. So there is always some extra hands needed. Our handcraft-projects incl...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. I also had a Yurt (now gone but the pictures are still there !!) and a campsite. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed 3. create car port I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Our hext vacancy is likely to be in March. From then on we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. Right now I am renovating a 5m dinghy trailer and a 51 year-old, but still very strong 5m Clark brand, aluminium dinghy, fitting remote steering, centre console, etc. You would probably start your stay by helping with this. You need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year. Most of the work is outside but also based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop and in our vegetable garden just over 100 meters from the beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, ...

We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers rescue, education on equine care. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete as well as facility maintenance. Would love to have some energetic people that want to make a difference in horses lives here. It’s about helping these animals go from neglect to finding a forever home or live their lives in Sanctuary. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes or help at the facility. What we are not: We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here. We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trails, etc. We are not a fancy stab...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. G...
