Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Iโ€™m an 88 year old farmer who lives in an old country house on a working farm of about 5000 acres. I am about 15 minutes drive from the nearest country town, Oatlands and an hour from, Hobart, Tasmania. Oatlands is a lovely quaint town, with a few cafes, a pub and restaurant . Fabulous community spirit, a local indoor 25 metre swimming pool! I live on my own and would ideally like some company and preferably female or a couple to assist in the house with cleaning and meal preparation . You have your own bathroom, and bedrooms My daughter is looking after my account and will communicate with helpers as Iโ€™m a bit of a dinosaur ๐Ÿฆ• with anything concerning with the internet.

This is ideal for people who would enjoy the social and cultural buzz of the city within easy walking distance, while also being close to two charming harbour beaches and some great walks.Itโ€™s a good arrangement for you if you value your own private space whenever you want it, but also enjoy a stimulating environment. Our comfortable inner city 116 year old Victorian villa is a two minute walk to Ponsonby Road. Accommodation is self-contained, and our HelpXers have invariably found it to be an ideal arrangement (see guest room photos). You have your own separate entrance, private garden balcony, generous double bed, kitchenette with microwave, ,hot plate, toaster and small fridge, dining table/desk, laundry machine and ensuite bathroom/toilet. Free wi-fi (within reason!) Because weโ€™re on an unusually wide section for a city house, we're developing one little corner with herbs and flowers for the pleasure of neighbours and guests. There's also a tree viewing platform and an organi...

This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Helpers activities are seasonal, and may include harvesting macadamia nuts in winter; processing the nuts; shelter belt maintenance; firewood splitting; weed grubbing and minimal gardening. We work alongside helpers and show you what to do. Please be aware that orchard work is physical, you will get dirty and there could be a few bugs! We request an average of 4 hours help per night stayed in return for food and accommodation. So that is 28 hours per week. However we aim to have a day off each week by working 2 x 6 hour days, or an 8 hour day. We can usually be flexible and also consider our helper's wishes. Work starts at 9am. We have a separate co...

I am seeking a couple of travellers to come to this special rural property and help me with some basic property maintenance. These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand beach. The weather is perfect now and..., there are no flies. If you are travelling in a 4WD you will really enjoy the coastal National Park right next door to here ! I am seeking self contained helpers who are travelling in a camper van or car with tent to come and help here. I provide a great private camp site and access to clean toilets and showers in exchange for 12 hours work per week or 2 hours work per day. There are really nice and private 'set up' camp sites here. I am located 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual Australian native animals roam freely over this land - Kang...

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Hello! We are a family of four, Masina and James, and our children Nola (4) and Lucy (3) living by the coast in Taranaki. We love cooking, gardening, music, surfing. Prior to having our children we both did a lot of travelling and love meeting and getting to know new people. Our place is right across from the coast in Taranaki, if you are into surfing our place will be right up your alley. You can walk across the road and jump in for some of the best waves in New Zealand. We live rurally so it is best if helpers have their own transportation. We are looking for people to help us with the house (cleaning, organising, cooking) and garden (weeding), or other projects we've got going on as our children take up much of our time! We provide main meals and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours help per day. We are rainbow and LGTBQ friendly. Welcome to our peaceful goat farm and homestead in the beautiful Central Coast of California! We're a semi-retired couple with 20+ years of experience living off the land. Our 6-acre farm is home to dairy goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, bees, and gardens. We do everything from milking goats and making cheese to processing lamb and poultry, fermenting vegetables, baking sourdough, and even teaching quilting and rug weaving. We host ONE helper at a time to provide a personal and immersive experience. Youโ€™ll stay in a cozy, private trailer next to the house and share the guest bathroom. We cook and eat three healthy, mostly organic meals together every day using food we raise or organically source. Our lifestyle is omnivorous, mostly gluten free and we do not host vegans, vegetarians, or dairy-free guestsโ€”youโ€™d miss out on too much! We ask for help with daily chores like milking, feeding, cleaning pens, gardening, and kitchen work. Afternoons are usually free, and in your downtim...

Looking for someone who is keen to help out with our 4 children, cook some meals and do a spot of gardening. My husband (37) and I (35) own a dairy farm running 251 cows on the west coast of the South Island. We are situated right on the bush line and get a gorgeous view of the southern alps. Spring time - when the calves arrive (August - October), is our busiest time of the year. We rear all of the calves and milk the cows once a day in the morning time. We are a family of 6, our oldest daughter is 8yrs old, middle daughter 5 yrs, middle son is 3 and our youngest son is 18 months. Ideally we are looking for someone to help around the house, get the children sorted in the morning and drive the girls to the school bus, keep them entertained, do some house chores alongside that (if possible) , take them for walks/bike rides. Possibly a bit of gardening and cooking too. It can be quite a busy house at times, so keep this in mind. **Must also be able to change nappies - happy to teach ...

Our property is located 20 minutes from central Christchurch. We are a busy working couple who run a rose nursery from our home. We share our home with our 19 year old daughter, along with a Labrador and a Fox Terrierโ€”so dog lovers are a must! Our helpers stay in a warm, private cottage with a double bed, bathroom, and kitchen. Food for breakfast and lunch is provided for you to prepare in your own cottage, dinner is shared with us in the family home. If you enjoy cooking, thatโ€™s a definite bonus, and we appreciate help with clearing up after meals. The help required varies depending on the season and may include assisting in the rose nursery or general help around the house and propertyโ€”wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. Helpers usually work around 4.5 hours per day and have one day off per week. Feel free to message with any questions.

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house i...

There is a bush area with a stream meandering through. We are newly establishing a spray free orchard, vegetable gardens, and medicinal herb areas. Some to harvest for use in our home Natural Health Clinic and dispensary as I (Kim) am a homeopath, medical herbalist, and Bowen practitioner. We are close to Kaimai range bush walks, other local walks, rivers, stunning waterfalls (Omanawa Falls, Mclaren Falls), and swimming areas as well as a beautiful local park with a lake, animal park, lots of bird life and frisbee golf. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We will start taking helpers in April. If you like mountains, wildlife and exercise and you are interested in a true country experience this is the place to be. We would welcome any help and would love people to share their organic knowledge with us. No experience is necessary just enthusiasm and a love of the outdoors. Throughout the year we have a wide variety of tasks to do. In April our few cows are calving and we often complete some small building projects and fix fences on the pastures In May we may be doing field work the fields and we also plant the vegetable garden in May and June. For the rest of the summer we are haying, moving irrigation pipes, building and fixing fences, gardening, hand pulling invasive weed species, harvesting garlic. There are tasks for all skill levels and strengths so don't be afraid to join us. Remember that being a farmer is about growing food, thus growing food for the cattle and for ourselves is our main occupation. July and the beginning...

My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatooโ€™s which live here in the pineโ€™s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goannaโ€™s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .

I live in a large house in Veyrin, a very very small village, in a very nice countryside in France, 90km East of Lyon, not fare from the Alps. Genรจve (Switzerland) is 1h30 driving. I'm looking for non-smokers helpers, who could help me 4h/day in my organic vegetable garden or helping me to welcome holidaymakers and pilgrims in my gite. You will have your own bedroom. The common kitchen is to be shared with everybody. The food is vegetarian. I can speak English. If you are sportive we can lend you a bicycle to visit around. The first town is 12km from Veyrin. I have a cat. I don't accept others pets. Please contact me if you want more details. You can also have a look on my website via link below. Looking forward meeting you.

Creating Eco buildings, sustainable projects and cultural exchange in a village with lots of nature, near the Danube River. I am available from May to October, please book in early as I get quite busy. My name is Oraya. I'm 46, female, well travelled and interested in Nature. I completed courses in Eco building, including Rammed Earth, Straw Bale, Earthships, Cob, Hemp and Green Roofing. I mostly trained with the Brighton permaculture trust. I have been Bio-Dynamically and Organically food growing and have now embarked on a new project. My current project includes establishing a self sustaining small holding and two Eco building projects. I have a large vegetable garden that is chemical free and a cob oven and outside fire pit. The projects that I am working on at the moment are a 2 storey extension, a glass bottle wall building, and a barn renovation. I'm also making a sauna and steam room. I live in a village called Kovachitsa which is half an hour away from the main town of Lom ...

Our Place: We live on a 4.5-acre lifestyle property about 20 minutes from Tauranga with a goat, chickens and ducks, and sometimes our horses graze here. So there are a few amazing spots for you to explore while you are here. Accommodation and Meals There is a separate cabin from the house for sleeping (queen bed) with an ablution block outside. It suits a couple or 2 friends who don't mind sharing the bed. Sometimes we will prepare meals but being super busy, flexibi...

Located 12 minutes the pristine beachโ€™...
