Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

Aloha! We’re Zoe and Grant, a family of four living on the beautiful west side of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, with our two little girls (ages 2 & 4). We're looking for someone to become part of our family for a while and act as a loving older sibling or auntie to the girls. When I was 19, I did a childcare work exchange overseas, and it completely changed my life. It gave me lifelong memories, incredible friendships, and a whole new perspective on the world. Now that I'm a parent, I'm excited to offer that same kind of meaningful experience to someone else. Grant and I actually ended up in Hawaiʻi through a WWOOFing farm stay, so we are no strangers to being on the other side of a work exchange. We're still very plugged in to the local farming community in our area and would be happy to connect you if you're interested in learning about tropical agriculture during your stay. The primary role is spending a few hours with our girls in the mornings while I work from home. They're great at entertai...

****taking bookings for August 2026**** I have been a Helpx and similar host for 12 years and have really enjoyed meeting, mentoring and sharing my life with so many travellers from every corner of the world. In January 2025, I started a new adventure, moving from Lowden Ridge, my beautiful scenic 100 acre working farm (where i maintained a productive olive grove and also raised cattle, sheep and goats), to a much smaller and tranquil 8 acre hobby farm which I have nicknamed Shady Acres. The new property is set amongst a majestic grove of eucalyptus trees, and is located in Irish Town, just 5 minutes north of the town of Donnybrook. In the last 16 months, with the help of some wonderful backpackers, I have built new fences, new veggie gardens, started a new orchard of fruit and nut trees, built small shelters for the goats and revamped the old chicken coop. I am currently seeking helpers to continuing growing my new farm. Some of the projects planned in the coming months includ...

Come Spend Some Time in the Coromandel 🌿 We have beaches, we have forests, and we have a very casual relationship with clocks. We’re a couple in our 40s–50s looking for people to share our piece of wilderness with. We have two somewhat manic cats, but we ourselves are fairly chill. Over the years we’ve tried a wide range of hobbies and crafts, from home brewing and cheesemaking to glass blowing and hang gliding (some more current than others!). We enjoy meeting creative people and giving everything a go. We’ve travelled through Scandinavia and Asia and look forward to travelling again, but for now we travel vicariously through our visitors’ stories — and love helping you make the most of your adventures in New Zealand. Our property is 26 hectares of regenerating native bush, with a stream, waterfalls, swimming holes, glow worms, and plenty of space to explore. We’re close to Whitianga, Hot Water Beach, and Cathedral Cove, yet the home itself is tucked into the forest where you can ...

We have an automotive country workshop, which we have closed down to retire and now we are about to tidy up and empty our. 32 years of bits and pieces - and memories. But we still look after our little farm, some sheep and some rabbits. We are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us during this time of dismantling and clearing out. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person or couple, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and workshop tidy up, would be the best fit. Our daily routine starts with a breakfast at around 7.30am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8.30am. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, great meals, and a reasonable amount of WiFi. Help with dishes is not regarded as work though! We do enjoy a beer or a wine after work, but we have a NO DRUGS policy. We integrate our helpers like a family member and mostly have only one or a couple...

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

This beautiful, 2.5 hectare garden, set in the heart of Haute-Normandie Pays de Caux near the English Channel and whose light inspired the Impressionist movement, which can be loosely translated as an Arthouse garden. This is not a run of the mill HelpX destination. There is a real opportunity to learn and have a totally unique experience while staying in the 17th century Priory in the centre of the garden. Cécile, the gardening artist or artistic gardener (she conforms to both), welcomes you to join her in this artistic gardening adventure. Previous experience of gardening and some basic French are welcome but not essential as Cecile can get by in English, Spanish and German and will teach you all you need to know; the work, of course, changes with the seasons and can be a variety of brute force and delicate sensitivity but never forgetting that this is an artistic adventure and is open to the public. Help Xers are invited to food and accommodation in return for an average of 5/6 ho...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. It is our mission to provide visitors from all over the world with an authentic experience of the unique atmosphere and culture of our home in Canada’s far North. As a well-established tourism company, we are diversifying our impacts and create a more resilient business. Doing this is not only fulfilling our long-term mission of developing a self-sustaining Arctic Eco-Village, but also investigating innovative solutions to major obstacles facing communities in the North: food and housing insecurity, decolonizing our economy, capacity development and cultural revitalization. Sustainable farming is not the only focus we have here, but we are continuously developing ideas and trying new farming methods. We are happy to find people from all over the world who are as motivated as we are to make living in the Arctic more sustainable. Organic methods: In the summer time, when we enjoy 24 hour sunshine, we grow our plants in greenhouses without the use of any chemical/artificial fertilizers....

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Check out our fantastic reviews to see what a great time helpers have had here. We offer a warm, welcoming home with a beautiful garden in easy-going Rotorua. PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING US. UPDATE: 🌟 We could really do with a strong, willing person to assist with a complete re-roof job in the first week of June. Helping Marcus to lift materials up to the roofer. 🌟 Early August, and energetic person to support Marcus in the madness and clean-up of our living area when builders rip down the old ceiling, and replace it with a new one! Then to help paint the new ceiling (Marcus can patiently teach you how to be an excellent painter). Minimum age: 25, with good English. Accommodation: Excellent accommodation - immaculate Airbnb standard room and house. Your own private double bedroom in a spacious home with a lovely garden. Work exchange: only 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. 9am start, it flies by and leaves us all free to enjoy the afternoon and e...

2026 UPDATE* Seeking motivated person/couple interested in garden tending and house sitting We're a farm and homestead community situated in the scenic Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. A family farm for 2 generations, we grow fruit and vegetables in our garden and greenhouse, wild berries, fruit trees, and Christmas trees. The farm is adjacent to several thousand acres of state forest, accessed and enjoyed by a network of trails leading to streams/brooks with swimming spots and waterfalls. In 2025, work is focused on gardening, growing high-tunnel crops, collecting berries, farm stand operation, and trail maintenance. Tasks may include: weeding, planting, harvesting and helping to sell produce. Other tasks might include things that help keep the farm going and prepare for the long-run, like fixing irrigation or farm structures and equipment, painting, landscaping projects, and processing or preserving food. Helpers can choose tasks that they feel comfortable with. We can offer i...

We can have a couple or 2 friends that dont mind sharing We are a family-run flower farm growing a wide range of seasonal blooms including roses and lilies. Our flowers are harvested fresh and sold through our on-site farm shop, to local florists, and to wholesale customers, so the farm is always busy and changing with the seasons. As a HelpX helper you’ll be part of our small, hardworking team and experience genuine farm life. Work is hands-on and varies depending on the time of year, but can include picking flowers, bunching, cleaning and preparing blooms, tidying garden beds, weeding, general farm maintenance and helping keep things running smoothly. The work can be physical at times, but it’s rewarding and you’ll see the results of your effort straight away. This is not a resort or retreat — it’s a real working farm — but it’s a warm, friendly environment where helpers are appreciated and treated like part of the team. We value people who are reliable, positive, and willing to giv...

Kia ora Helpxers, We invite you to come and be our Helpxer/s and enjoy our wonderful, warm and sunny location with a spectacular view of Tasman Bay and the iconic Boulder Bank. Our place is just 7km from central Nelson. The Nelson Tasman region is a very popular region for travellers, with access to the Abel Tasman National Park being just over an hour away. From our place, you can ride the bicycle trail into town, taking about 20 minutes, or there is a bus stop not far away, or even better, if you have your own transport. We designed and built our own passive solar house, constructed from Adobe Earth Blocks, a sustainable and eco-friendly method of building, using local materials such as clay and straw. It keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coolest! Our preference is to host you for up to one week or more if it suits. We ask for four hours helping out each day, but are flexible for longer days, so you may like to take a day or two off to explore our bea...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition.
