Our property is 33ha of native forest with two creeks located in subtropical NSW, 15 km from Lismore and 50 min from Byron Bay. Our focus is on enhancing the natural habitat for the abundant wildlife including wallabies, goannas, echidnas and birds. Varied tasks include assisting us with gardening, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. Good food and excellent private accommodation is in a self-contained unit 60 metres from our house. Spacious bedroom, bathroom, verandah and fully equiped kitchen. Office space with wifi and TV. Meals are shared or you may prefer to self cater with your preferred ingredients supplied. We usually have helpers stay one to two weeks then negotiable. We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment and native habitats. We're interested in all of nature, particularly keen on Australasian birds (being from Australian, NZ and South Pacific Islands) and we're involved from time to time with bird conservation and ornithological projects. We run a little flock of South Suffolk Sheep, we have free Range Brown Shaver Chickens, some Khaki Campbell Ducks (perfect eggs for baking!), have a pair of very rare Cape Barren Geese and we also have a little fruit tree Orchard too. Hey! We are dairy farming 10 mins out of Wellsford, on our piece of paradise. It's my husband (Robbie) myself (Jacqui) and our two children. We are into all things NZ, farming, fishing, hunting, camping, conservation and just keeping busy making the most of what comes our way and improving our dairy farm.
