This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old - and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide. Our property is located on the Annie Lake Road, in the heart of prime dog mushing territory. We are currently looking for a dog handler(s) and helper who would be able to start anytime. Responsibilities include giving excellent care and attention to the sled dogs, as well as odd jobs around the property, and some childcare. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths.
