We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young adults, one who is only here from time-to-time) with a dog and cat living on a beautiful bush block in Leura, Blue Mountains. The accommodation that we can offer is a funky yurt that is located about 30m from our home. There is no power or water in the yurt. The closest bathroom is 30m away in our workshop under the main house. This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. My husband Tony and I, offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of a week or two for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (longer stays may be possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. Spring has arrived so the gardens are lovely at the moment. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool.Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the week...

I am a 47yr old Englishman living with my Greek partner. We have a large land in a small village - Velanidia - in the Peloponnese near the sea. The nearest town - Neapoly - is 30 minutes drive. We would like our visitors to enjoy the beauty of this place and in return give us five to six hours a day to help us with the upkeep of the property. Most of the tasks will be working on the land. You will have your own room, with superb views, and eat with us twice a day. On most days there is free Wi-Fi, provided by the local municipality and can be used from the balcony of our home. We are living on a 200 hectare farm in Rollands Plains. Located on the mid north coast, surrounded by hills and valleys, great for bushwalking and exploring if that's what you`re into. We are predominantly an arable farm growing a large amount of garlic. Seasonally, we also grow egg plant, rhubarb, ginger, turmeric, pumpkin, yukon, artichoke, cucumber and corn, and whatever else we can put in the ground. All of our grown produce is certified organic. We do not use any sprays or pesticides. We also keep livestock. A herd of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats as well as chickens, ducks and guinea fowl.
