Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM the middle of APRIL. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The village has a very friendly and active community, a church, 2 excellent traditional pubs, a p...

Hello Travelers, my home is in the Town Parry Sound, about 2 hours north of Toronto by car, or 3 hours by the Ontario Northland or FLIX buses. If you have a vehicle parking is available. Alternatively you can try to find a "ride-share" on the internet on apps like "poparide" if someone going to Sudbury, ask a for a drop-off at Bowes Street or at the mall in Parry Sound and I will pick you up. Georgian Bay is a UNESCO wildlife reserve and is the home of many endangered species. For more information visit; http://www.parktoparktrail.com (an amazing trail connecting Parry Sound to Algonquin Park). Normally an exchange involves 4 hrs per day and you have a private room and 3 meals/day. I provide ingredients and we share preparation and clean up. Helpers keep track of their hours and we negotiate a reasonable schedule, depending on the weather and events in the town. Many helpers work longer days then plan to take off 1 or 2 days to explore the area or to relax. There is a pleasant ...

Spring update I will need help again probably in April . I have had some excellent helpers already this year. I am going to try to sell the house in 2026 so need help as I declutter and get ready to downsize after 45 years in this amazing place. I will still need help in the grounds. Some repairs and general upkeep and maintenance jobs and clearing paths, fighting the undergrowth, tending plants and watering. When it rains there are plenty of indoor jobs to help with: shopping, cooking and cleaning, decluttering and sorting stuff. Computer assistance is always a bonus. There may also be opportunities to help with voluntary projects nearby including the Storehouse with its community lunch once a week, Saturday Town Hall open house. These are all ways to meet local people. This very big old house with woodland garden is tucked behind the main street of a busy, small Scottish town. I have no pets but there are resident deer, squirrels and even badgers to look out for! Experie...

Looking for assistance NOW and from late March through summer 26. We moved north from Vancouver to escape the noise and the craziness and to find a spot to live in beauty. We found one and now are on the edge of nothing but more nothing all 400 km to the Pacific. We are 20 km outside of a small town halfway between nowhere and not much. Sharing that is a pleasure. Nearly everything we do now is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. PLUS, for all you thrill seekers/amateurs des s...

I need some help to renovate an old cottage (build in 1880): painting walls and ceilings; working with roof pans and mortar (from inside), help in the garden. Other families in my little village (100 persons) will ask also for help by you. I offer of course accomodation and food - but I am a lousy cook!!. Inside the house is still something like a construction site, so accomodation is a little bit primitiv.

Hi! My name is Giuseppe and I live on the small and beautiful island of San Pietro, located southwest of Sardinia. I love nature, travelling, sports, and reading, and as an Italian, I enjoy cooking. I live alone in a cozy house with a sea view, surrounded by green nature! The island is perfect for people seeking harmony and quiet life, and for who love nature, beach, sea, and good food. I really like the idea of opening my door to international travellers for a mutual cultural exchange. Around the house there is a large land with a garden and trees. I would need help a few hours a day (5 days a week, Monday to Friday) with some housework, light gardening, and to practice some conversation skills in English, Spanish, and French, which I'd like to improve. In exchange, I offer a bright single room, food and beverage, a large terrace with a sea view to relax. I'm happy to introduce you to Italian culture and to show you the many wonderful natural landscapes and many beaches of our area. I...

We are a warm and active family of four: a 8-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, and the two of us. We live in a spacious home in Badalona, just 20 minutes by metro from the center of Barcelona. Our house offers a comfortable, private bedroom and a separate bathroom for the person who joins us, ensuring both independence and comfort. We love meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. As a family, we enjoy sports, spending time in the mountains, good food, reading, and going for runs. Although weekdays are quite busy for us, we truly value our evenings: we make a point of having dinner together and setting aside time each day to talk, laugh, and share about our day. We would love to welcome someone into our home mainly to practice English — both for us and especially for our children, who don’t yet speak it and would benefit greatly from hearing it naturally in everyday situations. Afternoons and dinner time would be the perfect moments to connect and share. We would also ...

Summer discription: besides our work on the farm we organise international workcamps, long-term stays, and voluntary work in different companies as printery, carpentry, farming, nursery If you like to learn milking cows or driving an old tractor, cutting hedges, shear sheep, build fences or throw honey, test your strength in the muck or while digging the garden - you should join us. If you find dung and greens not so interesting, we understand :-) We are a living and working community with different workshops and bio-dynamic farming in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. We are doing carpentry, printing, video production, publishing and distribution - it is always possible to help. Depending what you want to learn, you can help. We have four more than less old houses here in the village, so we also have to do a lot of construction work. The farming we do is not a business for us to earn money. We do it because we think farming is an important part in a holistic way of life. We have sheep, ...

This is a home stay situated on a sugarcane farm 18km north of Proserpine. Not far from Airle Beach and Whitsundays. There are a variety of chores, I work in the sugar mill but also have a lot of work around my house and sheds. We’re renting a granny flat, and some times there is some cleaning work to be done. I have a young dog and chooks to take care of. It is very quiet where I live, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet to get away. I would also be happy to show you around the area, take you fishing, I have a boat and would love to show you around the Whitsundays weather permitting, maybe catch some crabs explain some of the wildlife in the area. There are lots of beautiful places to see here. We have hosted exchange students in the past and it has been very fulfilling, sharing different cultures. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Update: we have all the help we need in place until mid-July. My husband and I live in a beautiful, listed, 100 year old house in a lovely part of Scotland. We are surrounded by rural countryside, but well located for exploring much of Scotland and are walking distance from the small rural town (more like a village) of Alyth which has shops, cafes and a good bus service. There are lovely walks from the house as well as further afield and we can sometimes lend a bike to use for exploring (but it is quite hilly round here for cycling). Both Dundee and Perth are easy to reach on the bus, with St Andrews just a little further away, also accessible by public transport. Wildlife in the area include red squirrels (in the garden), deer, beavers and ospreys. Our house was a project when we purchased it in 2018, so to help finance the extensive renovations and ongoing running costs we run part of the house as a holiday cottage/self-catering annex and have 2 additional rooms in the main house w...

Hello, The Walipini is ready and great, thanks to the two helpers. They have left again and I hope to find some people who can help with the heavy things which need to be done. Like cutting the hedges, replacing some fences, building two terrace with beautiful Buxus wood and some wood cutting from fallen trees. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Available now - Come to the Black Hills of South Dakota! We are in Hot Springs (yes there are hot springs) on a homestead farm and have cows to milk, a tropical greenhouse to tend to, and lots of animals to feed and play with. We also have a few demolition and construction projects planned this summer, so if you have skills in that area we'd love the help. On the farm, we have a tropical greenhouse (as in bananas, guava and passion fruit), a high tunnel for extended season crops, fruit trees as well as yaks, dairy cows, horse and donkey, llamas and poultry. The yaks need brushing, the llamas need walking, the cow needs milking. So, we have plenty of variety going on – you will not be bored! If this kind of environment excites you then lets talk. In winter, we have a cabin with full kitchen and in summer we have a great newer RV with slide outs for you so that you have your own private space. We also have shared living space in the main house for the community feel. You will ...

Hi! 😊 I’m looking for a friendly volunteer to join me in Sweden and help out with a few home-and-life projects — while also having an amazing Scandinavian adventure. 🌿 Where you could stay (3 options!) Depending on when you arrive, there are three possible locations: 1) My countryside villa in the Stockholm archipelago (Vaxholm area) This is the main place — surrounded by nature and water, and only 45–60 minutes by bus from Stockholm city. Even better: you can take a boat straight into central Stockholm in about 75 minutes — it’s one of the most beautiful trips you can do, island-hopping through the archipelago. 2) My apartment in central Stockholm Perfect if you want city life, cafés, museums, and nightlife nearby. 3) My house in northern Sweden — “The High Coast” This area is stunning and wild. In the right season you can often see the Aurora Borealis, and in winter there’s great skiing. ☀️ Summer life is seriously good here In summer, you can enjoy free swimming, canoeing, ...

Hello! My name is Ari. I’m 25 years old and a local from Lombok, Indonesia, an island near Bali of a similar size. I am originally from a small village in Suralaga. Since two years ago, me and my family have been running an English learning program for both young people and adults in the local community, not only within neighborhoods but also in schools where students need deeper support in learning English. To make this program as successful as possible and achieve strong results, especially in English proficiency, we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to serve as tutors. Your presence will help students practice their English and boost their motivation to learn. Our foundation is dedicated to supporting families in need, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. We aim to shift mindsets and inspire a passion for learning that can lead to a brighter future. All of our students are eager and excited to learn. They will warmly welcome anyone willing to share their English s...

More photos on instagram at aqhinschen We enjoy the company and conversation and also sharing the cooking, I love sharing the kitchen while cooking. We have had some great ...

Hi, my husband and I live in a beautiful area on a lifestyle farm with our four young kids. We are working on setting up a sustainable lifestyle and there's always something to do! We have beef cows, a milk cow, sheep, goats, chickens, a couple dogs and a producing greenhouse. Would love some help with homesteading, ongoing projects, property maintenance, gardening, and help around the house. If you like your exercise there's a walking track to the top of our property with stunning views at the top. Swimming hole at a beautiful river 5 minutes down the road. Accommodation provided in our family home. You will have your own upstairs sleeping area and a separate toilet. Three healthy meals provided for 4 hours work. We look forward to meeting you!

You are welcome to come to help I like to share my beautiful place where you can have big walks or visit the markets in the villages around me (I like to cook good healthy meals, also vegetarian if wanted). Thanks Aletta Dear all, I'm looking for people who are willing and able to help build a Walipini greenhouse at my new home on a south-facing slope. I'm also looking for reliable people to look after my house and pets from January 23rd to February 25th. I'd like to be there for my grandsons' birthdays in the Netherlands. I can leave later but won't be back earlier due to an appointment at the Dutch embassy in Paris for a new passport. Perhaps I can find someone who is willi...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 Meals and accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , ha...
