I live on an organic farm about 15km from Kerikeri. It's a short walk to Lake Manuwai which is great for swimming and kayaking. There are beautiful bushwalks close by, a canyon and the Kauri forest. I am developing the property by planting a native forest, a vinyard, fruit and vegetables. For around 4 hours help mostly outside (weather dependent) you get good food and accommodation with your own room and bathroom. I love eating good food, yoga, fishing, swimming, travelling, music and good company.

We live on a 3 acre lifestyle block of land 32km south of Whakatane. We are close to the Te Urewera National Park. On our land we have 6 Wiltshire sheep as well as ducks, geese and many fruit trees, an organic vegetable garden.also are trying to establish small wilderness area in native plants. The little village of Waimana is 2km from where we live. The Waimana river is good for swimming, kayaking and trout fishing. Work includes helping in the house, garden work and firewood. We like to have lots of fun and include you as part of our family and also like to take people walking in the hills. We are also establishing a forested area for " Shinrin yoku " forest bathing for rest and relaxation. If you enjoy good food and wine, you are welcome.

Summer on the beach. Help out in the morning (2 hrs), surf or relax in the afternoon. We are looking for 2 happy helpers, to assist us mainly with house keeping and general hospitality tasks. Easy tasks, but would like to have someone with eye for detail and a 'can do' attitude. In exchange you get free accommodation and free usage of surfboards. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building situated right on the 90-Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay in Ahipara, famous for its surf. We are a small guest house with 18 beds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our guests come here mainly for surfing and to visit Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem, its a great place to hang out and make friends. The beach is right in front of the lodge, a fantastic place to chill. Position available from 10th of March

Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...

We are looking for people who have gardening experience and people who have skills in small building works. We are landscaping our garden at the villa. This is a new project, therefore it is pretty much a blank canvas at the moment. We need building skills as we are looking to terrace part of the garden and will need some walls built and some plastering. NOTE: The first image is a computer generated image of what we would like it to be. The bottom one is closer to what it is right now, but it has moved on a bit. The villa itself is finished, so accommodation and the kitchen etc. is fully functional.

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

Hi! 😊 I’m looking for a friendly volunteer to join me in Sweden and help out with a few home-and-life projects — while also having an amazing Scandinavian adventure. 🌿 Where you could stay (3 options!) Depending on when you arrive, there are three possible locations: 1) My countryside villa in the Stockholm archipelago (Vaxholm area) This is the main place — surrounded by nature and water, and only 45–60 minutes by bus from Stockholm city. Even better: you can take a boat straight into central Stockholm in about 75 minutes — it’s one of the most beautiful trips you can do, island-hopping through the archipelago. 2) My apartment in central Stockholm Perfect if you want city life, cafés, museums, and nightlife nearby. 3) My house in northern Sweden — “The High Coast” This area is stunning and wild. In the right season you can often see the Aurora Borealis, and in winter there’s great skiing. ☀️ Summer life is seriously good here In summer, you can enjoy free swimming, canoeing, ...

Living in Kyoto, Japan, we are a warm and welcoming family of three who enjoy sharing daily life with people from different cultures. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to join our family. Our hope is for our 6-year-old son to learn English and explore the world through fun, natural conversations and play. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and can be like a big sister to him, caring for him with kindness and respect. He is very energetic and loves to talk. If you enjoy playing Minecraft or Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll quickly become good friends with him. We are looking for help with playing with our son and light household tasks. Although I haven’t used this platform since registering, I have hosted many volunteers through another platform. We are still in good contact with them and we maintain positive relationships. We sincerely hope this stay will be relaxing, enjoyable, and a meaningful cultural exchange for ever...

=============== Update Feb 28, 2026. We are likely full until June 1 at the earliest. =============== Spaces that may be available are: a small loft room that is accessible by a short ladder, or a loft bed above our yoga room. And sometimes other bedrooms when people go away. Top skills we are looking for right now: - Cooking/cleaning - indoor plants and sprouts. - Help with renovation projects (finishing a basement bathroom.) Note: We don't always book people many months in advance, we prefer to wait until closer to the start dates so we can see how much space we have. Some people here stay longer than they initially planned so we don't always know the timing of openings long in advance. If you would like to help, please let us know your range of availability and preferred length of stay. We are an 11-person vegetarian community house in Toronto. My name is Steve and living here is also Jeff (from Hong Kong), Luke (from Canada/Africa), Swetha and her brother Shreyas (from Ind...

We bought a farm (in late October 2023) and could do with some extra hands! Plenty to do for experienced or non-experienced. We offer you a retro caravan with two singles or parking space for your own van or tent with blow up mattress and excellent food - we grow lots ourselves, otherwise mostly organic and local where possible. Compost toilet. Hot shower down at the sheds. We live in a tiny house and enclosed shed next to it. Good off grid power with some wifi. It is a sheep farm, but the flock is small as we breed up a bit. We are only 7.5km from Tuatapere town that has all amenities. Invercargill is about 75km. You can go to the beach or bush or mountains on your time off. We are passionate about permaculture and can talk about it while having breaks and working. See our website for more info. Tasks could include digging, cutting wood, weeding, planting, making biochar, building, tending animals, and all sorts of basic DIY work for getting a homestead going. We work with helpers si...

I'm on the lookout for a strong male (or two), or a couple, for a few weeks or more. (Some have stayed for much longer). I'd love to have someone, anytime from now, to help me with general garden stuff, and bits and pieces of projects. Always something new to do here. No skills is fine, just a bit of strength and willingness, but some handy-man skills would be useful too. I also would sometimes love some help with a bit of house maintenance /cleaning and brush cutting etc. I live in a beautiful silent forest valley dwelling with about an acre of garden. It's a wildlife refuge abundant with bird and wild life. It's 7-8 mins from charming Mullumbimby with it's farmers and general markets and cafe culture. Stuff for young and older 25mins, from beautiful Byron Bay and 20 from Brunswick heads, so lots of beaches and surf etc Also lots of walks. I would like someone who can speak English as there will be lots of communication involved. It's definitely best to have a car. You'll have ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We are looking for help in the garden and some house cleaning. We are a family of four with a large house and garden. The house was built in the 1850's and has been fully restored. Our home is situated within a farm and it's in the beautiful Banks Peninsula area. Akaroa is a short drive away. We have lots of garden jobs - We are looking for keen gardeners and help around the house. We are myself Brigid, my husband Mark and our daughter Livi - our other daughter Alyana is living overseas. We love to travel and we love meeting new people. We enjoy sharing dinners and good conversations. We also have a small dog Alfie and a cat called Kitty Mu Mu. We can provide accommodation and some meals. We prefer to have a couple. Most of the work will be in the garden and housekeeping. I love it when other people cook. It is best if you have a car as you can then explore the fabulous Banks Peninsula. We are in a quiet Bay and Akaroa is close by with restaurants, shops and adventures. There are pl...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . ...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/ HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! As I am now in my late winter years , instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal . I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...and of course "grumpy" me and please understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. The good cook , Chen my ex wife , mentioned in a lot of reviews has moved on . In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, ( YE...

Update: We have space for one helper from now until the 4th of March or maybe a bit longer. Please note : We are booked out until end of March and have a few gaps available in April. Please read our profile before you write to us!!! Hello lovely helpers, welcome to "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which refers to a movie from 1961, It's also the title of a song from 1993. Before we introduce ourselves I would like to let you know that we are not worried about your skills, we don't expect any experts, but someone who genuinely loves plants and to help. We prefer if you can cook and bake bread. For us, communication is the most important thing and best is someone who has a sense of humor and fits into our sociable family. If you are a recluse and rather hide in your room or look at your phone or can't commit to help due to your circumstances, please don't apply. We like playing (modern/strategic) board games, card games and often play Codenames, Concept, Cascadia, Azul, Tsuro and Bananagram...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around.

The tasks will be a mix of bed preparation, planting, propagating seeds, general maintenance like mowing and weeding, and care of our animals. A level of fitness is required as the work can be physically demanding at times. Building or painting skills or experience would be an advantage over the summer period. About us: This is a co-operative permaculture farm, and a community of 3 families and more who value and practice yoga, alternative therapies, conscious parenting, education, hand crafting and self sufficiency skills and technologies. We have an organic veggie growing CSA garden, an heirloom seedlings nursery, and an events space focusing on arts, crafts, permaculture education and wellbeing. Hi You will not regret coming to us! We are looking for helpers to harvest our walnuts from the last week in March (23rd March) to mid April this year. The work is not difficult and it is a nice environment to work in. Tasks include using a small harvesting machine or hand held nut rollers to pick up the walnuts, then putting them through a washing machine and a sorting machine before they go into drying bins. We live 25 minutes north west of Christchurch on an established property with a big garden, and tennis court. We have a sleepout with a queen sized bed and a spare room also with a queen sized bed in the house. Our house is warm and comfortable. We have tools for fitting out your car/van.
