Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

We live in a river valley just outside Palmerston North, in the Manawatu area, and we are about 15km from town. We have a large family home on a small 'lifestyle' farm with sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, & cat. There is a lovely swimming hole in the river just below the house, and we make our own power. We are off-grid. Our extended family & friends live near by. There are almost always farming, fencing, building, home made power, gardening, weeding & tree planting activities to be done. We are also currently finishing painting our house. We love talking to you and trying your cooking, and Sue loves to paint & draw & make music with you - Ralph goes for morning walks & we also enjoy playing games & have some great movies:-)

We have a property located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping, painting etc. Fremantle cottage is on quarry st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. Sorry, we don’t really provide long term bookings for people who are working. We do know of opportunities for those looking for this and are happy to assist.

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Hi there Traveler We offer a farm stay with great views and good conversation. We chopped down a pine forest and replanted with Manuka about 4 years ago so it’s starting to look really great, and more native birds are about. Established a wetland reserve as well. Also we are developing another small retreat area that needs assistance with tracks and tree management. Some stock work is all so on offer but we will work with you all the time as it’s safer and more fun. cheers and safe travels Geoff and Declan

Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. Hi we need help from end May onwards . Looking for helpers wanting to stay 2weeks or possibly longer but we will consider shorter stays so do get in touch! Also looking for helpers wanting longer term. Someone with housekeeping experience is best for us but really anyone who is happy to help and likes cleaning 🙃 We are a family of 4, myself and my hubby and our two young daughters. We need daily help with housekeeping, cleaning and some occasional gardening (with me or my hubby so no gardening experience needed). Generally after a girl helper as our kids are more comfortable with that. Someone who is able to muck in with whatever we need and likes cleaning!! Only single helpers please we cannot take more than one person. We offer accommodation in our modern German caravan, with heating, wifi, meals (brekkie lunch items in caravan) and dinner helpers usually join us and have whatever we have as a family that evening. So sorry we can’t cater for special dietary or food requirem...

Hello and a Warm Welcome, I built this eco-house from earth bricks and natural timbers, to create a healthy, relaxing environment. It's on a 17 acre (6.7 hectare) paradise looking onto native bush, located in the Bombay Hills, about 60km south of Auckland CBD and 12km from the bus stop or the nearest shop. I've studied Organic Horticulture and grow our food that way, living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. There's avocado, lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, banana, peach, walnut, macadamia trees, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs. Personally I eat an "O" blood type diet including meat, without grains or dairy, but I can buy them for you. Please tell me your food needs as I want you to be happy. Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions to work on their own, and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go. I like to have people around me who are conscious and conscientious. Please ...

Hi, welcome to NZ, and hopefully to Kōpuaranga, Masterton! We are located just a 1.5 hour drive north of Wellington off State Highway 2. Masterton is central to a lot of walks, mountains rivers and coastline and some beach/ surf communities too. We also have a beach house that we sometimes do work on as well. Our home is a kilometre from any other house, so a rural experience, views and usually a great night sky are guaranteed - yet still only a ten minute drive to our service town of Masterton which has rail links to Wellington. An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious! We have now been on this property a year and so much has been achieved with HelpX travel friends, but we are only half way through... Outside we are building pens, raising chickens and sheep, adding some more raised beds and laying out a productive garden with s...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. Near a busy village, bicycles offered, canoes, there are buses to take you around the island, hiking, swimming, artisans, markets. Sunsets are wonderful. The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects).

An easy pick up or drop off if you do not have your own vehicle. We have a river boundary with trout and eels, and it is great for a speedy dip on the hot days before the nature gets too curious!
