Daniele works part time as a structural engineer, Pahge works part time as a doctor. We ask for approximately 20 hours of work per week in exchange for food and accommodation. The house is located in Whitfield, a nice suburb close to the centre of Cairns and to the beautiful botanical gardens and the trendy cafes in Edge Hill. Guests will have their own room with wi-fi and food will be provided. We will also provide a bike as Cairns is the perfect place for cycling. Hello, we are Cat and Silvan, who is 6 years old. We live on an organic permaculture farm in the Pyrenees in the south of France. The property is situated in a small hamlet of 8 houses bordering a wild forest including chestnut, ash, oak, acacia and cherry. We grow much of our own fruit and vegetables and collect hazelnuts, walnuts, mushrooms and wild herbs from the forest. I cut my own wood and much of the wood used in the construction has been harvested from the land. We have 5 goats and friends graze their horses during the summer months. I enjoy eating fresh food from the garden and like to be creative with dishes with what can be sourced locally rather than necessarily going to a big supermarket. We buy locally and organic where possible to supplement what we have in the garden.
