We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got tr...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Currently have helpers until August 2025* Minimum stay 4 weeks preferred. We are a small, family-run horse farm at the lower end of the Hunter Valley, NSW. We have a mix of retired racehorses and eventing horses, plus a handful of hairy ponies, and need help in feeding, grooming, and riding horses (for the right, experienced people only) and general property maintenance. This can include anything from painting jumps, picking up horse poo, building fences, clearing fallen trees, to clearing weeds and overgrown areas of bush! We might also ask for help with our active, imaginative, 10 year old daughter; but only if your imagination can match hers! Lyndel is a qualified riding instructor, specialising in Eventing, and teaches and trains people and their horses on our cross country course, show jumps, or grass and (floodlit) sand arenas. We have welcomed a number of travellers from all over the world, and offer excellent accomodation and full board in return for help with the horses, ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

I really enjoy helping visitor/helpers appreciate and learn about this land.! If you choose to come and help me here, I can introduce you the things that I love about this area, after living on this land for 40+ years ! I can show visitor/helpers many places that other travellers would be very unlikely to find or see on their own. I can make this information available to visitors who stay and help me here. I can also provide important information that might help you access local employment opportunities, also help in the finding of other special Western Australian locations all around this large state ! I seek a couple of travellers to come and help me with some basic property maintenance..., this means raking up leaves into piles, collecting sticks and branches, weeding and watering my veggie patch. These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay. The weather is just perfect at the moment and all the usual Australian na...

We are beekeepers in a small village near Bayonne, in the south west of France. We live in an old typical farm of the area with animals (one dog, two cats, chickens and millions of bees). We have near to 150 hundred hives which produce different honeys (heather, chestnut, acacia,...). For that we`re moving it in different areas. We are also making some pastry with our honey and we are selling the production on the local shops. We are also gardening, cooking and doing some DIY works at farm. We would please to welcome to you.

Our community is a colorful, international bunch of nice people, with Austrian, Middle Eastern, Polish, and German roots and many international friends from all over the world. Feri (43) and Lise (50) currently live here permanently. The children, Layla (12) and Aisha (10), visit us regularly on weekends and during holidays. Natalia (30) and her two children, Maja (11) and Damian (7), also come by from time to time when they are not traveling in their camper van. Feri's cousins visit us regularly to enjoy time together and prepare delicious oriental food! We also have many other visitors (friends, helpers, and family) from all over the world. We have a big family and a lot of friends who come from all over the world to visit. We sometimes have family events and could use an extra hand getting things ready—whether that's preparing rooms or other bits and pieces. Don't worry, we don't have paying guests; all our visitors are family and friends. We're living the dream here in Lower Austr...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We are very lucky to live on a farm in the beautiful Lake District, just on the edge of the National Park in Cumbria; the farm dates back to the late 1600's. Over the years parts of it have been renovated and added to and some parts are looking a little sorry for themselves! Myself, my sister and my 14yr old nephew live and work on the farm running a small accommodation business and a Friesian horse sanctuary. We have big plans for the farm in the future, however for now we could do with a little help with day-to-day living. We are on the outskirts of the lovely village of Cartmel which is home to an ancient Priory, a small racecourse, several very good restaurants and pubs and it is famously the home of Sticky Toffee Pudding! You can walk into the village from the farm in just under 20 minutes and there is a local grocery store and several pubs where you can meet friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. The nearest town is Kendal which is about a 20 minute drive away or...

We have 4ha land, sheep, chickens, ducks, dogs, large gardens, two kids, a small business, and a big, 150 year old homestead to look after, so many skills needed here. The gardens are large, productive but some are messy at the moment. For now I am looking for a single person or couple to help with tidying the gardens, weeding, sorting firewood. I am studying herbal medicine, which means I am very busy and have let the gardens go a little, it is in desperate need of cleaning up. I would like someone who knows a little about plants and weeds and who can work unsupervised. I provide 3 meals a day (non vegetarian) and accomodation in exchange for 5 hours work a day. The room is beautiful and large, with a super king bed and a view of the water. I am happy to work around days off so you can explore the beautiful surrounds. Strictly no smokers please. We are across the harbour from the lovely tourist hotspot Akaroa. (20 minute's drive). Many things to do there, like dolphin t...

A small rural property located half way between two beautiful tourist cities - Rotorua and Taupo where travellers are welcomed! There is a large garden and vegetable patch which are always in desperate need of constant weeding and there may be other odd jobs around the property - depending on your skills and what needs doing. :-) There may be some help required for feeding out my horse and picking up poop 😬 (but tools are provided!) but she may or may not be on the property - depending on grass availability. There may be small maintenance jobs to do and what can be done will be dependent on skills available but we are keen mainly for any assistance with gardening work, pasture/paddock maintenance. Any landscaping skills or building skills would be very much appreciated! The property is cute and has a beautiful, peaceful outlook over a river. Normally accommodation is in a lovely double room with its own little deck - occasionally the 2 bedroomed cottage may be available however t...

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) I have hosted many people through Couchsurfing over the years! Helpx is a new concept for me I purchased the property which is in need of a lot of work to tidy up, contouring/fencing/and planting trees etc. I'm now into planting out and setting up orchard also clearing introduced plants and replanting with natives. Current projects are building a new cottage for myself which is at the internal painting stage! and similar 2-bedroom cottage as a guest house which is at the internal lining and painting stage! both will be total off grid power and water supply. Next on the list is building a hot house and shade house I'...
