Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. I'm offering the chance to stay a short stroll away from Kingston Beach in Southern Tasmania on a beautiful bush property in exchange for help with carpentry, landscaping and routine chores around the house from in February 2026 for at least a week. You would stay in your own private bedroom with bathroom. The space is actively listed on Hipcamp but I can easily block dates if you are a good fit. Kingston Beach is a 20 minute drive from Hobart and a popular beach for dog walking, sailing, walking and swimming. There are plenty of lovely bushwalking opportunities in the area very close by. Pademelons, birds and other wildlife have made their home here. You feel like you are miles from civilisation, but you aren't. The sound of the sea is always there. There are some good cafes and restaurants close by, and even a pub. I'm looking for someone or a couple who loves the native Tasmanian bush and dogs. I have a Jack Russell called Tilly who loves to be made a fuss of. Working hours wou...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

We extend a warm invitation to join us on our farm this spring. We have availability from March into April — a beautiful time of year here, when everything is waking up again and the island feels full of fresh energy. Please inquire for availability during other times of the year. It’s a lovely chance to slow down, breathe, and really feel nature all around you. We’re right by the seaside, so you can live close to the water, enjoy the long light, and settle into the rhythm of rural coastal life. There’s always plenty to learn and experience here, and we’re delighted to welcome helpers who enjoy great scenery, good purpose, and a peaceful place to land for a while. If the timing suits you, we’d be very happy to host you and if you already have some farm experience or any prior experience with ponies/horses we especially welcome you! We look forward to warmly welcoming you! *** Availability in March*** We welcome everybody howev...

My name is Wendy, I live on Surf Highway, Okato which is about 30km south of New Plymouth. It is a drive to everywhere!! For the most part I need help with property maintenance gardening, pruning trees, flax and hedges and there always seems to be weeding and mulching and general maintenance to follow up around the house as well. Okato is a great little village, with a nice community feel. It is very small. It is a short drive to the coast, and depending where you want to enter onto the mountain, a half hour drive or an hours drive. Back into New Plymouth is maybe half an hour to drive. If you are interested in this part of Taranaki I would be so happy to host you. Warm regards Wendy

We are temporarily not available for any upcoming helpers because we got a new horse. She needs a calm environment to settle in, and we don't know how long this would take. Hopefully we will be ready to accomodate a helper or two from march onwards. This is a cozy Norwegian farm located in Åkrafjorden in western Norway. We are looking for someone who likes to help out with animals, as we also work outside the farm. We have sheep, horses, cats, chickens and a dog at our farm. In addition, we also produce firewood and lumber. The farm is rich in history and cultural artwork. My name is Brita and I'm married to Tormod, who grew up on Årtun. We bought the farm in 2023, and Tormod's parents is still living on the farm in their own house. The accommodation for helpers is a spacious room in the basement of our house, with a double bed, a small dining table and a fireplace. Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum stay. We are a ten minute walk from the bus stop. Here's a little video on us, bit dated now but it'll give you the idea https://ww...

Hi ! We are Hubert and Alex (34yo), a couple settled in the North of France. A nice place for sightseeing, walking, cycling, riding or discovering an Estaminet: a traditionnal bar which often serves local dishes. There we can playing old Flemish games, drink different local beers and listening traditional musics. Our new home is in a marsh with a big garden and a meadow. We're breeding French Saddle Ponies (we have 2 mares and foals each year), 2 dogs, one cat, 2 minipigs and a little barnyard. Recently installed, there is a lot of things to do: cooking, sanding, painting, gardening, fencing, weeding, creating a garden, ... I (Alex) am an animal science teacher in an agricultural college. I was a helper when I travelled in Australia and I really enjoyed this experience. I like discovering new people and sharing our lifestyles. And improve my English as well! Or any other language. Tell me how you can help me, I'm sure we'll find something to do . I'm with Hubert since 2019. He is...

We are a couple with grown up children so we gout space to have up to 5 people stay and work with us at our organic farm. I am a cook and my partner is a teacher and landscape engineer. We work with vegetable production, in greenhouses and outdoor. In the summertime we have tomatoes, egplants, peppers, chillies, beans, mm in our greenhouses and different vegetables in the field. We need help for the farm work, and traditional construction work on different parts of the buildings. We have bicycles here for our guests so you can discover the surroundings. Kia ora, travellers! Haere mai - welcome - to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years caring for this whenua, there are mature trees, orchards and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, protecting our native forest, birds, lizards and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood. I bake bread. I make apple cider vinegar, bottle fruit, jam, chutney, sauerkraut, and collect seeds. My place fits independent, mature helpers who have work & life experience. I work at our local kura (scho...

FARMING & SAILING - Crete & Peloponnese Back to farming and sailing after a year’s pause!. Having left UK corporate life early, I have moved my focus on nature, organic farming and experiential tourism. In Crete I maintain an olive grove of 430 trees and I am involved in fig farm with 260 fig trees. In 2024 I started developing a brand new organic fig farm in the Peloponnese with 256 trees, 10km away from the ancient site of Mycenae. OBJECTIVES Our short term objectives are • To promote organic farming. The fig farm in Crete is already certified and plan to do the same with the new farm in the Peloponnese. • To develop relationships with farmers elsewhere in Greece and overseas to share experiences and promote best practice. • The combination of farming and sailing gives us a great opportunity to work close to nature ashore and at sea. • Explore the Greek islands by boat. ACTIVITIES CYCLE Our activities during the year broadly follow the schedule below: • February/March: Pruning (Pel...

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We currently welcome handy and strong persons to help us with restoration, building, carpentry and more. There could also be scraping and painting. Life here is physically quite demanding, so we do need persons who are fit and enjoy an active life. Volunteers coming here should be interested in a self sustainable life at the edge of the ordinary comfort zone. We are looking for responsible persons. This is a lighthouse on a small island in the Arctic part of Norway and we would love to welcome you if you have the relevant background to help us out! The lighthouse premises are the only buildings on the island. This is a non-profit organization in the process of turning the lighthouse into a special guest place. We are off grid and self sufficient with water, energy & boat transport. Elena and Frode are your hosts at the lighthouse. Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. This is an exciting project for us. We are guided by holistic management and permaculture principles in stewarding a Farm, Ranch, Campground, and Event Center in the beautiful Scott Valley of Northern California. The Scott River runs through the land as does Taylor creek. There are approx 100 acres of meadows, 10 acres of cottonwoods, and 210 acres of conifer forest. We manage our own irrigation systems using ditches and canals built in the 1860s. There are original cabins and an old RV park on the land. There is lots of work to do in all departments and we would love to have your help in exchange for a camp or rv site, and some shared meals. Our mission is a joyful, healthy abundant future through imaginative empowerment. We want to share our experience and learn from yours. Currently we manage a herd of 18 yaks, 12 goats and sheep, 30 laying hens and a guardian dog. These animals healthy lives are also making the soil healthier because we move them constantly, providing just t...

Welcome! Our family owned and operated certified organic livestock farm in North Central British Columbia is excited to have you stay and become a part of everything we have going on. We’ve been operating since 2008, primarily raising Berkshire pigs, Dexter cattle, Katahdin sheep, laying hens, broiler chickens and of course bronze breasted turkeys for thanksgiving and Christmas. On top of that, we’re home to two Labrador retrievers (Ned and Nelly), 3 outdoor cats, 2 guard alpacas and a family of Muscovy ducks. In other words, you will never find yourself not in the company of animals! Aside from livestock, we have recently built a small farm store / café that cooks the meat raised on the farm. We also take pride in creating all recipes from scratch, from the sauces to the buns of the burgers. Currently only operating during the summer months, 3 days per week. It’s been a lot of work, but a great way to get more people out to the farm, eating good food and connecting with the community...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time.

Just across the hall is a bathroom with toilet and shower, that would be reserved for helpers. If needed, we could mak...

He is...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Frode is a carpenter and Elena takes care of the admin and leads the activities in the kitchen. We welcome strong and experienced volunteers who are ready t...

We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...
