You are a traveller looking to experience the peacefulness of the East Algarve Hills, but don´t want to stray too far from the amazing Algarve coastline or the Spanish Border. You´re interested to learn in depth about how we have approached a project to buy and renovate a hamlet and land collectively... and what happened next! The surrounding area is nice for mountain biking and hiking, expecially in SPring when all the flowers are in bloom. We would like to hear what skills and interests you have and how they relate to our activities here. Why not come and help us renovate our old stone hamlet and learn some of what we have learned and how we do it? We are a non-smoking, calm, family project in the hills. Our day is oriented around work, meals and our family activities. Outside of mealtime and work, we would prefer guests to amuse themselves in the peaceful setting, unless we arrange some visits that you will be welcome to join. We can provide a daily buffet breakfast, homema...

This is an exciting opportunity to have an experience that will stay with you throughout your life. Our Foundation aims at helping rural children receive a qualitative outstanding education. We have a volunteer teaching program to assist rural teachers and children get exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Because English is the second language in Thai schools, we concentrate on improving the English language skills of both rural teachers and children. At present, we aim to help 4 public elementary schools (grades 1 - 6) close to Chiang Mai. We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous servic...

I have need of someone to help with gardening there is a lot to do and need you to like the outdoor life. I can lend you an old coat and gardening gloves for this. I am a strictly non smoking place both inside and out. Smokers including those who vape, will be asked to leave. I take in rescue dogs and then rehome when they are ready, you definitely need to like animals I have had people come who have an allergy to animal hair and dust. This is a farm atmosphere so dirt, dust and animal hair are normal here. I ask for five full hours a day please. The South West of England is a lovely area in the country close to Dartmoor National Park and also the Devon/Cornwall border, very scenic a couple of miles from Dartmoor National Park. 2km away there is a huge supermarket which sells everything from food to washing machines, it is open until midnight except for Sunday when it has reduced hours. We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. Hi. We are a family of 4 and a new farm. Started in 2025 and although we do not live on site, we spend most of our time there. Our land is an ancient lead mine, was also inhabited by the Romans and we have a Bronze age burial tomb. * We are not able to reply to all messages, sorry We do not live at the farm ourselves, there are no buildings on site We are an alcohol and smoking free site and home We are currently booking people for September to stay in our Belt tent. It is large at 7 m there is no heating in it, one of the jobs we will try to do is to get a bus ready that we have on site for a more cozy stay. If the weather is very bad, you can stay on our sofa bed in our lounge at our house which is about 15 minutes drive away from the land/farm at Wookey Hole Help is needed amongst other things, feeding our 3 Iron age pigs, Soay sheep, goats and chickens. Hello everyone!!! Namaste! This is an organic farm & retreat center located in the Himalayan foothills. We offer unique spiritual pilgrimages, organic food (as much as possible except when there are instances that we cannot produce our own), agricultural farming classes, tantra yoga, sound healing, Chandi mantra chanting & meditation courses. - I am Shree Krishna Shrestha, the owner of this lovely farm and I live here with my 57 year old wife, Sarita Shrestha and our 22 year old daughter who has recently returned back home from studying abroad. I also have two sons who live with their families about 30 minutes far in the town below our village. I have been doing silent meditation for about 5-6 years now and plan to do 4 more years during which I choose not to speak, communicate through text messages or signs, eat a vegetarian diet with no salt mainly consisting of our own cow milk, yogurt, roti/chapati and boiled potatoes. My family started this farm in 1991 with the dream of being o...

No availability until October. From October onwards we are open to either short or longer stay requests. We could have a trial week or fortnight before committing to a long stay. Also we would like to arrange help for next year MARCH and April, this would involve strimming (rechargeable, metal blade Stihl, with mask etc) and for an experienced strimmer we could add some paid hours on top of the full board and bedroom. PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! (to be clear it is not that we require long or even ANY conversations on these topics, it is that it would be against our principles to be gaining any kind of advantage by hosting people who were so strongly misaligned with our ethics). Please note a cat and a dog here, so not suitable for allergies to dog and cat. A minimum stay of 2 weeks please. We really need a 2 week stay having people come and go is tiring... and i...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Hey travellers, immediate availability in Londons most desirable East London inner city neighborhoods: Stoke Newington, Hackney. I have a large home in which I rent out rooms. Looking for someone with any of the following: interior design skills, overgrown garden clearing, decorating and cleaning. It's a peaceful quiet home, I'm in my 50's, male, fairly introverted, eccentric and very quiet. I have a chronic pain condition so often am not available for social interaction. And if you're into healthy healing soups then cooking could be part of your hours. Ideal for someone independent who loves working on their own. And can entertain themselves. However, if we connect I'm generous with time and conv...

Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

We are a welcoming family inviting volunteers to stay with us and experience the lifestyle and culture of rural Australia. To clarify from the outset: we do not own the cattle station. My husband is the station manager, and I am looking for helpers to assist me personally with the care of our horses, pets, and day-to-day household routines — not with station or cattle operations. This is a hands-on, immersive opportunity to enjoy country life, connect with animals, and be part of everyday outback living in a relaxed family environment. About Us & Daily Life A big part of your time here will involve helping me care for our horses and other animals — including feeding, grooming, and general animal care. Riding is available if you are capable, confident, and it is appropriate on the day, or if you would like to learn under supervision. Like any household, there are also light daily tasks that everyone pitches in with, such as tidying shared spaces or helping with routine animal feedi...

Hello! We’re Clara and Fabien. After having some amazing experiences abroad as HelpX helpers ourselves, we thought it was time to become hosts and welcome travellers into our home. We live in a small mountain village in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors, you’ll probably love it here. In winter, there are ski resorts nearby, snowshoeing, beautiful walks, and plenty of hiking trails starting right from the village. We can host one person or a couple. We’re not looking for perfect helpers—just people who are easygoing, respectful, curious, and happy to share a bit of their daily life with us. During the winter season, we’ll need some help with our Nordic hot tubs. The work is pretty straightforward: getting the tubs ready for guests, carrying and stacking wood, keeping the area tidy, and helping with a few everyday tasks. We’ll explain everything, so no experience is needed. In exchange, we’ll share meals, spend time together, and happily show y...

You are a traveller looking to experience the peacefulness of the East Algarve Hills, but don´t want to stray too far from the amazing Algarve coastline or the Spanish Border. I have need of someone to help with gardening there is a lot to do and need you to like the outdoor life. I can lend you an old coat and gardening gloves for this. I am a strictly non smoking place both inside and out. Smokers including those who vape, will be asked to leave. This is a farm atmosphere so dirt, dust and animal hair are normal here. I ask for five full hours a day please. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. 2.
