West Coast Canada Experience - position open now Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings at 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 - 9:30 serving breakfast to guests and interacting with Q&A and booking a few excursions....

Kia ora! We live in an old farmhouse (built 1920s) on a beautiful lifestyle block of 1.6 hectares in rural Whangarei. Of our family of six, only two - on weekends three - currently live here as the rest of the family now lives/works/studies overseas. We are vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian and we love animals. For the past 20 years we have had a small animal sanctuary with a menagerie of creatures, who found a forever home here to live out their days. At the moment, it's only five sheep and two roosters living with us. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ONE OR TWO HELPER/S TO ASSIST US FOR A FEW DAYS WITH GARDENING AND GENERAL HOUSE AND GARDEN MAINTENANCE. You’ll have plenty of free time to explore this beautiful area of New Zealand. The helper/s must have their own transport as we live rural and there is no public transport to and from our house. There is plenty to see and do around Whangarei: Explore our many beautiful beaches, forests, bush and nature walks. You can also visit hist...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen helpers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

We live on a 4 acre property, aiming for self-sufficiency. We grow all of our own eggs and meat (chickens, cattle, pigs, sheep), a large vegetable garden, and many fruit trees. We are almost completely organic, but not entirely. Tinker does a lot of preserving with our produce - fruit, vegetables, meat and eggs - using different preserving methods (pickling, pressure canning, water bathing, fermenting, dehydrating). In the winter we do charcuterie/salumi with our farm raised pigs. Ad makes home brew beer, and also likes making sausages, trying new recipes. We can teach you about these if it is possible during your stay. Let us know if you particularly want to learn something, as not everything is possible all year. Aside from our current projects there is always garden work (making and spreading mulch, weeding, animal care, fruit tree & vegie garden maintenance) as well as general household stuff. We eat very well (as much as you like) and if you like to cook, we have an extremely ...

Overview: We are a Tibetan Buddhist Centre that welcomes HelpX volunteers interested in learning more about meditation, Buddhism and the spiritual life. Jobs are mainly cleaning, gardening and grounds work. We offer accommodation usually in our dorm room and free attendance at classes & meditations. Volunteers are responsible for their own food - but are welcome to also use the veggies in the veggie garden (seasonal). We are a Registered Charitable Trust and rely on volunteers and donations. We do not have a large budget and are unable to provide food money to short-term volunteers. This is really a place for those that wish to learn more about Buddhism, live in our community and offer service for a short period (2 - 3 weeks). Living at a Buddhist Centre we ask you to respect the Lay Buddhist Precepts during your stay (ex. no killing, no lying, no stealing, no taking intoxicants, etc.) and be respectful of Centre residents. 4 good hours of work per day, 2 days off per week. Length o...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

The farm is a diverse mix of organically produced vegetables, hemp and pasture raised animals. It is located in an area that is rich with local farms, breweries and food producers. The farm is located on the upper Lamiolle river and just 4 miles from beautiful Caspian Lake and Barr Hill Nature Perserve. Greensboro is the home of Jasper Hill Cellars, Hill Farmstead Brewery, Cirkus Simrkus, the Highland Center for the Arts and a whole lot more. We are 9 miles from Hardwick, dubbed the epicenter of the local food movement.

The accomodation is a 8' x 12' studio with a small covered front porch. There's high speed wifi and solar power, and it's surrounded by forest. There's a nice hexagonal composting toilet, an outdoor shower, and a shared kitchen and dining area. Looking for someone who can work independently on some tasks (gardening, painting) while I'm at my day job, and we'll work together some too (tree planting, construction projects). I work as a zipline guide and love touring people around the Island, so I'd be happy to take you on adventures on the weekends too!

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Come to the eastern part of Germany and join our life. Please read our profile in detail first before you send us a message. We are a family of 3: Kerstin (58), Carsten (58) and Christopher (31). We live in a village on an estate that was a farm in the past. The village is situated 60 km from Dresden, 100 km from Leipzig and 170 km from Berlin in a national park. We have cats that live with us, too. We invite you into our home and accept you as part of our family. We do our best to make you feel at home and appreciate any additional assistance. If you join us it will be fun, promise. Our place is for genuine travellers who want to learn more about Germany and experience staying with an East German family. It is not for those looking just for food and accommodation. Important: We often share meals together, depending on our schedules. This is not a full-board arrangement, so volunteers should be able to plan and provide their own food too. Much help is needed in and around the h...

It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

We can have a couple or 2 friends that dont mind sharing We are a family-run flower farm growing a wide range of seasonal blooms including roses and lilies. Our flowers are harvested fresh and sold through our on-site farm shop, to local florists, and to wholesale customers, so the farm is always busy and changing with the seasons. As a HelpX helper you’ll be part of our small, hardworking team and experience genuine farm life. Work is hands-on and varies depending on the time of year, but can include picking flowers, bunching, cleaning and preparing blooms, tidying garden beds, weeding, general farm maintenance and helping keep things running smoothly. The work can be physical at times, but it’s rewarding and you’ll see the results of your effort straight away. This is not a resort or retreat — it’s a real working farm — but it’s a warm, friendly environment where helpers are appreciated and treated like part of the team. We value people who are reliable, positive, and willing to giv...

I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local gra...

We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occasions. The farm is situated in the midst of viney...

Do you like to be part of a family and not 'just' a helper? We are looking for our next 'big brother/sister' to join us on our little farm zoo.... We are looking for a person or two to help us out in our family and on our wee farm. We need help mostly to look after the children before and after school (7-9am and 3-6pm) and feed our animals. You could stay in our cabin as well as get full board. We are a young and active Swiss-Kiwi family with three young children ranging from nearly 9 years old to nearly 14 years old, living on a lifestyle farm in the town of Oxford (45 min away from Christchurch airport). We have all kinds of animals (chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, calves, goats...) longing for attention as well as a garden and a big household appreciating support. This property is a small horse stud, as well as a small farm. Tasks for helpers will be dependent on the time of year/preferences and include helping on the farm and in the house and garden, looking after the ani...

We enjoy meeting and working with helpers from different countries and we try to make your stay work for both of us. Although we are not vegetarians or other specialty diets we have no problem hosting one. One family member is gluten free. Seasonally we need assistance with with fencing, firewood cutting, the garden, harrowing, feeding livestock, building and building maintenance and general farm labour. No experience necessary but must have a willing attitude and be comfortable around animals. Someone with Carpentry skills is always helpful. We are located on a small farm 4 km north of Lumby and 30 minutes east of Vernon BC, with sheep, laying chickens, hay and sometimes meat birds. We also have some older horses and a large organic garden. One of us is a carpenter and the other a semi retired biologist. We have lots of birds and generally very few biting flies or mosquitoes . We are Ines and Stefan Grillmair living with our Kids Heidi (7), Nino (5) and Robin (3) at a small farm in Bachmanning, Upper Austrian countryside. We moved in this 400-year-old house in 2023, after a year of maintaining the main building. At the moment we have 5 sheep mowing the steep land in the back yard. We look forward doing some gardening and pasture work in 2025. For that reason, we definitely look for handy helpers that are used to work with tools and own hands. We stick to helpx recommended 4 hours of help per day, and appreciate self-responsible management on this. We are self-employed, our daily job is all about coffee. We are Barista, run shops in the City of Wels and Salzburg and work most days at home. We know HelpX from our Work&Travel experience in New Zealand, a decade ago. We enjoy being a Host now. Our House is located in the so called “Voralpenregion” which means, that it`s close to the Alps, especially Salzkammergut. By car or train you reach Gmunden (40 min)...

Hi, We are Ben and Del. We have been hosts since 2018 and are happy to take helpers all year round. We are looking for couples or two friends as we are a little isolated and prefer two people to be at home together. ABOUT US Ben works in management and I am an Agriculture Teacher at the local high school. Our twin girls, Isabelle and Mackenzie finished school in 2025 and are currently working locally. We are a busy family living in a large home nestled between the Blue Mountains and Wollemi National Parks. We are 15 minutes from Richmond train station and 1.5 hours from Sydney CBD. We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated couple to come and help our family. Because we are so busy we really are only looking for people who have lots of initiative and who can work independently. GETTING HERE Your own car is not essential but would be beneficial. If you don't have a vehicle we can pick you up from Richmond train station. Ben travels to Penrith most days for work so catching a lift...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bike,(s), pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. ...

Ciao tutti, We have a villa from the 1960s designed by a well-known Italian architect. It hadn't been lived in for many years and is now up and running as a rental. At the moment, we're looking for a couple or someone that can help us during June, July or August (which are our busiest months). Our villa is located in a small charming town near Lake Como. Our property has lake and mountain views on one side, and forest views on another. There are 3 floors, all of which have views of the lake, including the bottom floor which is a two bedroom apartment where the manager and helpxers live. The skills that we are looking for is someone who enjoys gardening, someone who knows how to clean whenever necessary or someone who can fix things that break. Most importantly, we appreciate someone that has a positive attitude, is hardworking and is willing to help whenever its needed! The manager of the villa is Luiggi, a Colombian/American 29yo who has been working with us for many years no...

We are also a hummingbird banding station every 2 weeks from late April until the beginning of August. ...
