UPDATE *back from holidays, woofers needed* Kia ora! We live in a beautiful rural home 10 minutes away from Ngāmotu/New Plymouth - 3 minutes away from amazing surf village Oakura in Taranaki, Aotearoa New Zealand. We could use extra hands for weeding (we've got lots of weeds!), mulching, lawnmowing, trimming, moving/tidying up wood/landscaping concrete blocks, building chicken coop, etc.! In return we offer our spacious comfortable guest room (shared toilet/shower). We are a couple 38F and 44M from Chile and the UK, respectively. We've both traveled extensively and love meeting people and learning about new cultures. Only condition is must like dogs, as we have a collie retriever called Eddie that loves people and will most definitely approach you for pats/cuddles. Cheers!

Hi, I am excited to be able to host again! I love living close to nature, co creating with my environment and doing my best to live with awareness. I enjoy simple things like food I have grown, good company, birdsong, swimming in the river, singing... I am an artist/musician and traveller. I like to do yoga and meditation most days. I am always happy to meet other travellers to share knowledge and life experience. As well as English I speak Italian. I now have a puppy living with me so it's helpful if you like dogs. Her name is Leia and she's very cute. I am looking for help on my property which I am developing as a nature retreat. It is a great place to re centre and recharge. It would suit people who are nature lovers who like being off the beaten track. There is no wifi or TV Sending and receiving texts is generally ok Phone reception maybe dependent on your phone or if the gods are happy! I enjoy meeting people from around the world to share knowledge, experiences, work and hope...

We live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm between Greta Valley and Cheviot. We live on the coast at Napenape beach a beautiful beach for photography, walking, surf casting and diving. We are only a few kilometres away from the popular surf/swimming beach called Gore Bay. We are also very close to the Hurunui River which is well known for its trout and salmon fishing as well as kayaking. There are plenty of walking tracks near our farm. We have had over 60 different sets of helpers and really enjoyed making new friends and sharing some of our kiwi culture with them. we are very flexible with jobs and try to match the right job with the right person. We love living on a farm and are keen to share our skills with those interested in trying some new things. We are flexible with the hours worked and the jobs done. All meals will be included. We are a family with two boys (11 and 13), living in the country-side between Auckland and Hamilton. We are a handy first or last stop as we are only 40 min from Auckland airport yet in beautiful, rural surroundings. We have chickens and a cat and 12 farm dogs at work. Within a short drive you will find stunning hikes of varying lengths - Mt William Walkway (10min away), Vivienne falls (15min away) and Hunua Ranges (30min away). We always welcome help with the house, garden and various jobs around the place. The activities vary depending on the season (harvest fruit and vegetables, AirBnb changeover, cut firewood, spring clean, gardening, painting, cut hedges, help at the local school and community events, etc). And there are ALWAYS two boys wanting to play - cards, rugby, soccer, board games, hide and seek, make fires outside. We go to town at least once a week for groceries and errands and sometimes we go to friends and help at their place for a change of scenery. I know what it i...

Hi there - we are a small family of three - Glen and Annette; and Emily (21). Also included in our family is our geriatric dog - a Westie called Daisy. We have a quirky architecturally designed home perched on a hillside which is surrounded by mature gardens. It is like living in a tree house - with lovely views! The gardens take a lot of time to maintain and there is always weeding and sweeping up of leaves to keep everyone very busy! We would like your help as many hands make light work and it is nice chipping in together to get stuff done so the rest of the day can be enjoyed relaxing! If you like cooking that is always welcome too - we love to experiment with food and enjoy a good pizza making session with our woodfired pizza! Stoke is just a hop, skip and a jump from the Nelson Airport; Nelson City and close to all the beautiful areas like Tahunanui Beach and Rabbit Island which Nelson has to offer! We are on the border of Richmond so quite central to this area too. The...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. We include you in most socil activities if you are keen, such as sailing. Every Helpx so far has been nothing short o...

We’ve recently purchased a beautiful lifestyle property in North Canterbury and are looking for friendly, practical helpers to stay with us and lend a hand with a variety of projects as we settle in. Help is mostly light to moderate outdoor work, such as: Painting and general maintenance Gardening, pruning, and fencing Odd jobs around the property We also have horses, so if you have experience and interest, we’d love help with them too — but this is entirely dependent on your comfort and skill level. In return, you’ll be staying in a relaxed, welcoming home with a social, easy-going couple who genuinely enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different walks of life. We’ve both had plenty of life experiences and value good conversation, laughter, and shared meals. Our location is a big bonus: Close to stunning beaches for swimming and horse riding Conveniently near the highway Easy access to Amberley, Leithfield, Rangiora, and Christchurch We’re also developing a ...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Please note : We are booked out until mid February. Please read our profile before you write to us!!! Hello lovely helpers, welcome to "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which refers to a movie from 1961, It's also the title of a song from 1993. Before we introduce ourselves I would like to let you know that we are not worried about your skills, we don't expect any experts, but someone who genuinely loves plants and to help. We prefer if you can cook and bake bread. For us, communication is the most important thing and best is someone who has a sense of humor and fits into our sociable family. If you are a recluse and rather hide in your room or look at your phone or can't commit to help due to your circumstances, please don't apply. We like playing (modern/strategic) board games, card games and often play Codenames, Concept, Cascadia, Azul, Tsuro and Bananagrams, which can be played even with limited English. So we prefer helpers who like to join in sometimes. If you like chess, ask Andrew ...

Welcome! I am Fern. I live together with my 3 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! I love kirtan and am busy immersing ourselves in the local community. There maybe a proj...

My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. If you wish to get involved in our project, you are welcome, whether it be for the short or long term. For the past two years, we have regularly welcomed volunteers of all backgrounds to participate in our project, but also to discover our country, its exceptional wildlife and flora, and to exchange ideas about our culture. Kia ora! Our place is located between Tauranga and Rotorua, about 20 mins south of Tauranga. 25 mins to Mauao (Mt Maunganui)and 35 minutes to Rotorua. Small rural property with organic vege garden, chickens, bees, orchard. Work mostly gardening, trees and bits and pieces. Peaceful and quiet. Lesbian, gay, child and vegetarian friendly. Accommodation is a comfortable tidy sleepout with queen bed. If you want to look around the area its a good place to base yourself, a vehicle is an advantage but we can pick up from Tauranga. Enjoy your travels! We also have a place in North Coromandel - remote, beautiful, coastal, rugged landscape, environmentally protected land, gravel and hilly road to get there. The accommodation is a comfy hut, off grid, composting toilet, 50 m from our house, good phone coverage, some internet at the house. The work is mostly weeding, pruning and moving clay soil. If dates work we'd be happy to host you there too!

My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

We have lived on our farm for 5 years now, a 26 acre small holding in the beautiful south hams area of South Devon about 10 minutes drive to Dartmoor and 25 minutes to the beach and close to the amazing and very alternative and interesting town of Totnes. We are in need of a hand in getting things working efficiently- so many jobs and so little time! This could include helping to work on the old barn and make it into a better space to work in (any carpentry/building type skills would be amazing). Then we have livestock that we raise as ethically as we possibly can. We eat mostly vegetarian but are promoting fully free range meats as a choice for customers moving away from supporting intensive farming methods. We have poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese) and 40 pigs to look after plus lots to do in the vegetable area which we are transforming into a 'pick-your-own' space with woodchip paths etc. We are attempting to build a lovely shapely toilet block for potential campers and ...

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Hi everyone, I'm Eric, and have been helping around the world when I was travelling a few years ago. I've also hosted and travelled with couchsurfing a lot. Today, I'm looking for help with this project, an old farm that was restored by my sister Juliette over the last twenty years (she will be the one answering your message). She now hosts a "bed and breakfast" facility. However the farm was huge, and so much more could be achieved with the support of helpers. From gardening to building fences, digging holes, pruning trees, taking care of animals (poultry) , wood working, etc... there is a lot of stuff to do ! The video section will give you an overview of the site , and the work that can be done. March, april, may, september, october are the months where we are able to host helpers It is a totally environment-friendly project . To limit the use of energy, we use hot water provided by the sun, and sun ovens for cooking. We produce some of our own electricity with solar p...

This very special and peaceful rural property is located within coastal Karri forest and it's just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand shallow beach. The weather is warming up now and the flies are starting to die out. We start work early here(7am) and that means helpers have from 9am to be free to play and/or relax !! I invite helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. This place is very special location" because it is 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual native animals roam freely over this land - Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, various reptile also so many birds are in abundance on this land. 2 helpers are moving on soon and I will need a couple of helpers to replace them. I am seeking at least 2 helpers(a couple) who are staying in their own camper van, or car with roof top tent or similar. I...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . We are a family with two boys (11 and 13), living in the country-side between Auckland and Hamilton. We are a handy first or last stop as we are only 40 min from Auckland airport yet in beautiful, rural surroundings. We have chickens and a cat and 12 farm dogs at work.
