We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

My name is Esperanza, I run a language school. I'm looking for an easy going native English speaker to help us with conversation classes and different activities. It is a great educational project where we aim to develop students interest in the language in a natural way. We live in a nice area surrounded by mountains, our house is big , so we recently started an online rental program to meet new people from all over the world. The language school is 8 minutes away on foot from our house. I live with my son, Mikel, who is a university student. While you stay with us, you will be able to take part in lots of activities. Zalla is a town with lots of facilities where you can do nearly everything you can imagine. If you are interested in learning Spanish, we will be more than happy to help you! We live 20 minutes from Bilbao in a lovely town called Zalla. There is a good bus/train service to Bilbao. Volunteers also can visit, Santander, San Sebastian, Burgos, Pamplona either of these ci...

I am professional early retired gentleman in my early 60's who lives in a 4 bedroom house with a substantial garden. I seek a helper who will assist with maintaining garden and house and be an engaging companion. House usually has other residents - either tenants or volunteers so there is almost always a little community atmosphere. A private room is provided to all volunteers and house has excellent modern facilities. Also, we often play puzzles, play chess and watch tv movies and TV shows. Listening and sharing music is also a constant activity. Finally walking around Dublin city and exploring the local area is something we do.

Welcome, Fellow Adventurers! I’m looking for 1–2 enthusiastic helpers to join me at my peaceful, tree-filled property in Te Awanga — a charming beach community in Hawke’s Bay, just 20km from Napier, Hastings, and Havelock North. The area has plenty to enjoy: surfing, swimming, beach walks at low tide, fishing, vineyard tours, and scenic trails. A great base for exploring! What I need from you: Up to 5 hours of help per day, 6 days a week (with flexibility by agreement), covering garden maintenance, general cleaning, and helping with evening meal prep and cleanup. Seeing volunteers for the 2026/27 spring and summer (Oct 26 to April 27) Weather is glorious here and it's one of the best places in Australia at this time of year. (Not so much in winter - lol). We have lots of projects going on - would love people with some carpentry or gardening skills to help strip out and rebuild an old school bus motorhome (for future helpers) and install a watering system in our veggie garden. Join us on our regenerative agriculture farm 1 hour west of Melbourne. We (Matt and Liz) live in the beautiful Daylesford/Hepburn Spa country on 110 acres farming Sheep, Pigs, Cows, Chickens and vegetables. We also have pet Donkeys, Ponies, Horses, Alpacas and Goats. We appreciate volunteers who are keen to be involved and actively contribute to day to day farm life. We have 2 double rooms available inside the house with access to your own bathroom. We are happy to provide all meals cooked from local and farm grown produce. We have our own beef, pork and lamb but are ...

Hi, I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area, covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. These animals are my children and come first, their needs are paramount. 10 dogs and , 8 cats and lots of chickens, 49 ducks, 1pigs and 1 piglet , 31 ewes, 3 rams, 2 weather's and 2 lambs, I have two children in their 30's who live and work in manchester. they visit when they can. She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time. PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Enjoy pure Mediterranean style of life and learn to live off-grid while improving Nature and the ecosystems: self-construction, Beekeeping, edible and medicinal wild plants, land art, Peace... Hi All! I'm renovating and living in an old stone house in the mountainous countryside of Alicante, near Sella and Alcoy. The house is in the very top of a hill (950m altitude) with astonishing views to the valley and mountains. The plot, 2.2 Hectares, submerged in a dense forest of pine trees and holm oaks is an incredibly quiet place, far away from the small village: no neighbours, no cars, no phone coverage !! The energy here is mind-bending; a perfect blend of silence, ancient rural architecture and natural heritage. A paradise for relaxation and healing. It has a lot of possibilities and I have in mind so many, many projects... ...that I would need a help 😄 Basically the idea is to create a space for disconnecting from the modern society and find ourselves doing basic things full of me...

Hi! We are Steve and Johanna, a couple who decided to buy a property with magical views and a shearing shed on the top of a mountain. This venue is very exposed and not for the faint-hearted in wild weather! But when the sun shines it's truly paradise. We converted the shearing shed into a home and have now been here 28 months. We have a small shed next to the house which contains a sleeping "capsule", complete with double bed, lights, mirror, clothes hanging space etc. We have installed a toilet with handbasin behind the garage which serves as a wee bathroom for visitors. There is always a project on the go and weeding and planting to do as well...send us a message or give us a call. If you like to explore, there are plenty of slopes to wander over, plus some beautiful NZ bush. We have 2 energetic Foxy/ Jack Russell puppies who roam and play and love attention. We love the interactions with our HelpX guests and the variety of people we host is stimulating and satisfying. Come enjoy...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

We live in a fun share house 🏡 in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals 🍝, fireplace 🔥 and a big edible garden 🌾🌴🌳🌿. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most amazing meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs 🐕‍🦺🐕 in the family, so you must be a dog 🦮 lover. Also 6 chicken 🐓 and 2 ducks 🦆, so we always have fresh eggs 🪺. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun 🥳, laughter 😂, music 🎶 and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out 🤪. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please no...

Kia ora! Thanks for your interest in coming to stay in Houghton Bay, Wellington. The local area is full of native bush, plenty of walking tracks (southern walkway, mt albert lookout, red rocks seal colony), beaches for swimming/snorkelling or surfing, and being close enough to the city to enjoy other attractions Wellington has to offer too. Or check out nearby Newtown for opshops, owhiro bay for Carlucciland minigolf with sculpture walkway, or head to thr cinema at Island Bay. About me and why I host: I was born in the uk and, after travelling around the world for about 9mths, I came to nz on a working holiday visa with a plan to be in Wellington for a week. It has been over 20yrs! My 2 kids are now adults and on their own overseas adventures. We used to host via couchsurfing and love meeting people from around the world and hearing their stories or just chatting in general (over a decent cup of tea!). However a few injuries, busy life, trying to renovate, and a section that loves...

After nearly 30 years living in Rome, my husband and I decided to move to the countryside near Viterbo to enjoy the life in nature. Here we started our own organic vegetable garden, are learning how to "live" with 100 olive trees and 3 ha of land, which still waits to be fully used. With other words: work in progress to become farmers or at least something similar. We are a family of 5, but the childen went on with their own lifes and come visiting often. We have a big house that we rent during the summer months and a little cottage in which we stay when the house is rented. I was a caterer and therefore a very good cook. one of my sons is vegan and a challenge for me to learn more about that kind of cooking . We are a very open and international family, me being german, my son having a Kenyan wife, th other one a spanish partner. Unfourtunately my husband died last year and so it is only me who has to take care of the house and the garden. Here we can combine our passion for country...

Need helpers NOW in beautiful, sunny Marlborough! In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is help with this work I require.. Therefore most of the work is outdoor, constantly varied, not difficult, with some indoors work on occ...

Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport and you can message us anytime. GENERAL INFORMATION We grow most of our own vegetables. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers. With winter we action a great progressive project to plant and regenerate areas with hundreds of native trees. Creating windbreaks, animal shelter, and native bird habitat. Come and join in on a creative and rewarding project. We generally work 4-5 hours a day. We have clean and ...

We love having helpx, please read our reviews. At the moment we are looking for two people who have practical experience with weeding and gardening, shifting firewood and general tidying up. We are also looking for someone with building and practical experience with building or fencing, building steps, planting/gardening and who enjoy physical, mostly outdoor work. Our jobs require practical experience, or willingness to learn - gardening, cleaning, spraying, weed-eating, washing the house, windows etc. We don't currently have airbnb guests so you would get to stay in the luxury airbnb unless we get a booking, then you would either sleep in a sofa bed in the cabin or if you prefer your van and just use our shared spaces. We love hosting travelers and enjoy also getting jobs done on our list. With having 10 acres to care for, there is always something to do. Ideally you would have a vehicle as we do live rurally. We will give you food and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours...

Hey hey HelpX'ers! 😊 I'm Scotty, a 31-year-old Kiwi who has spent over five years travelling the world, visiting more than 60 countries and doing HelpX and working holidays in several of them. Those experiences were some of the highlights of my travels, so now it's my turn to return the favour and host! Our farm is a little slice of paradise. We're just 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from town, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best starry skies you'll ever see. I'm hoping to welcome people who value kindness, respect, good conversation, and enjoying the simple things in life. My goal is to create an easy-going environment where work gets done, but having a great experience together is just as important. The work is a relaxed mix of farm, lifestyle, and general property jobs. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, our friendly cat Molly, gardens, an orchard, and there's always something different happening, so no two days are ever ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees.

We are Murielle and Luc living in Auvergne in a hamlet in the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park at 750 m above sea level. The house is surrounded by forests and grasslands. We live 10 mn by car from the city of Ambert and 1H15 from Clermont-Ferrand. Our life is simple. We enjoy nature, animals, gardening, and hiking with our donkeys. We like peace and quietness. We have hens, ducks, rabbits, cats, one turtle, guinea pigs and donkeys. Our pets are rescue animals and we are very attentive to their needs and well being. We also have a very small apiary. We have an association called ZIGZANES which proposes walks in the company of a donkey, donkey discovery activities for families and also animal mediation for disabled persons. If you are an animal lover, if you love nature, this is the job for you. You will help us with the care to the animals (feeding, cleaning animals and their shelters), and fence installation because not all of our land is fenced yet. We also need help to cu...

We’ll work together on some tasks, so those hours are fixed — the rest is up to you. What I offer in return: • Comfortable, private accommodation for a single person, couple, or pair of friends • Lunch and evening meals on working days • A relaxed, tranquil place to call home for a while I’d also love for you to bring a favourite recipe from your home country to cook and share — I’ll cover the ingredients! I provide basic f...

This small holding is friendly, warm, chaotic, fun, flexible, hard working place, full of laughter and accommodates all the animals below. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies when not taking a holiday in hospital. Hahah She loves playing cards and word games, ideal for learning the language. She requires a bit of company during the day as she is 98 and quite frail these days. . She is able to do most things for herself but requires a little attention from time to time. We often have a jigsaw on the kitche...

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. We have a combination of short-term and long-term volunteers and on average we have between 10 to 20 volunteers and resident...

Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our do...
