Hello :) We are a small German family (Jens 55, Doreen 47 and Sam 8) who emigrated to Norway many years ago. We live on a farm here and now have 43 sheep. We need some help with tasks like cleaning out the stable and feeding them. In addition, there are always several tasks to be done on a farm, such as repairing or building fences, felling trees, sawing wood with a chainsaw or cross-cut saw, preparing winter wood and, if necessary, gardening work such as pulling weeds. You'll be staying in a camper van/caravan parked right next to our house. You'll be able to enter the house at any time and use the bathroom and our kitchen. The camper van, of course, has electricity and Wi-Fi. :)

We are retired couple living in the beautiful West Cork , right on the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is surrounded by green fields, and the Ilen river flows past its front. It is 3 km from Drimoleague where you find bars, bus stop, pharmacy, post office and supermarket. Therefore, a car is essential. We just moved to this big home in 2026, The spacious garden needs regular maintenance, and the riverbank in front of the house (where there are fishes ) also needs regular cleaning. and the works involved using the lawnmower, tending to the plants, pruning, and cleaning the paths and riverbanks. Nothing complicated. We are looking for a helper who loves gardening and the countryside to work with. We provide accommodation and food; in exchange, you will help take care of the garden, work 5 days per week and 3~4 hours per day. On dry days, you can work in the garden. On rainy days, you have more time to read, do what you enjoy, or we can talk, do repairs, crafts, or other indoor activities...

We are a small family, a dad and two lads. I’m Barny and my two sons age 15 and 10 We live completely off-grid in the Eden Valley, on the side of the Pennines “area of outstanding natural beauty” and looking across to the Lake District national park. We live in a cabin and sleep in wagons, that I’ve either built or renovated both a showman's wagon and Gypsy caravans. We have horses, , cats and sometimes other animals.. There’s our neglected garden of unrest where we sometimes grew vegetables And would love someone to come and breathe life back into it! It’s a beautiful place, 4.5 acres with semi ancient woodland and a stream running through it. It is fairly remote, although there is a village 1km away, where my friends have recently taken over the pub and started putting on music and other events, there’s a cafe/bakery , there’s a handmade toy shop and a swimming pool with sauna for private hire, I run a small business which offers horsedrawn holidays and adventures. As well a...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

After an intense house renovation, we are now entering the final phase, focusing on cleaning and refreshing the house. From APRIL (for about one month), we are looking for help with PAINTING work inside and outside, as well as some light gardening tasks such as weeding. This period is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and likes to see visible results at the end of the day. From JUNE onwards, as the weather becomes warmer, the help will mainly consist of daily HOUSEKEEPING tasks (cleaning, ironing), with occasionally some light gardening. We’ve found that this experience works best for people who enjoy staying active and contributing in a practical way to daily life. We truly appreciate volunteers who bring positive energy, a hands-on mindset, and a genuine willingness to help. We are a Belgian family who has been living in France for over 20 years. In our late fifties, we speak French, Dutch, English, and a bit of Spanish. Our home is located in the beautiful r...

Overview: We are a Tibetan Buddhist Centre that welcomes HelpX volunteers interested in learning more about meditation, Buddhism and the spiritual life. Jobs are mainly cleaning, gardening and grounds work. We offer accommodation usually in our dorm room and free attendance at classes & meditations. Volunteers are responsible for their own food - but are welcome to also use fruit from the orchard and herbs from the garden (seasonal). We are a Registered Charitable Trust and rely on volunteers and donations. We do not have a large budget and are unable to provide food money to short-term volunteers. This is really a place for those that wish to learn more about Buddhism, live in our community and offer service for a short period (2 - 3 weeks). Living at a Buddhist Centre we ask you to respect the Lay Buddhist Precepts during your stay (ex. no killing, no lying, no stealing, no taking intoxicants, etc.) and be respectful of Centre residents. 4 good hours of work per day, 2 days off pe...

We are an operating farm. Mostly silviculture. We farm mostly trees. We are situated in one of the largest Cork Tree areas in the world.Mediterranean forest ecoystems are considered one of the most important ecosystems right after Virgin Forests. We also have lots of pine trees both for lumber and also for pine nuts. Cork and pine nut trees are a very sustainable resource as their lifespan is over 200 years and they produce cork and pine nuts during that time. We pride ourselves for being an environmentally responsible farm and we enjoy teaching volunteers and visitors about what we do. We are a Forest Stewardship Council certified farm. FSC is a worldwide recognized organization that certifies socially and environmentally respectful organizations like ours, that harbour and follow, strict guidelines for workers, neighbouring populations and the environment. We are audited on a regular basis. We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). Kia ora! Thanks for your interest in coming to stay in Houghton Bay, Wellington. The local area is full of native bush, plenty of walking tracks, beaches for snorkelling or surfing, and being close enough to the city to enjoy other attractions Wellington has to offer too. I was born in the uk and came to nz on a working holiday visa with a plan to be in Wellington for a week. It has been over 20yrs! My 2 kids are now adults and on their own overseas adventures. We used to host via couchsurfing and love meeting people from around the world and hearing their stories or just chatting in general (I love tea!). However a bad back, busy life, trying to renovate, and a section that loves to grow weeds as fast as I can pull them meant when a friend told me about helpx and workaway I signed up. I love that it is a win for both guests and hosts- I love to travel and know that getting to stay with locals gives you a unique perspective into daily life and offers the chance to meet people you w...

My name is Paul. About 17 years ago I had this slightly crazy dream of changing my life from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer in the Swedish countryside. Somehow, 17 years later, here we are :) Norrängens is our 100-acre farm just outside Sala, about an hour from Stockholm. We have around 70 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, rabbits, a turkey, my cat Sexy, the kids’ cat Vernon and Malta, our farm dog. I have three children, Liam (22), Dylan (13) and Oscar (10). Liam has grown up and moved away from home. Dylan and Oscar live between me and their mum, although sometimes they seem to spend more time here :) When they’re here they’re part of farm life and help out when they can. This is our home and our little family as well as being a farm. Things are quite different here from a few years ago. We used to run a much bigger and busier tourism operation. These days things are smaller and quieter. The economy has been a bit of a struggle, if I’m honest, and this y...

Welcome to our FARM & EXPERIENCE CENTRE. I am Lincy, born in Kerala, studied Engineering and worked in different parts of the world. I also worked as a Mathematics Teacher in Sloka, The Waldorf school in Hyderabad. We travel a lot. I own a Farm in a small village named Panagattiri near Kollengode in Kerala. We follow natural farming methods. Our farm (around 6 acres/ 2.5 hectares) consists of mainly different varieties of mango trees (we have around 20 types of mangoes) and we get sweetest mangoes in the season. The other crops are coconuts, paddy, jackfruit, gooseberry, cashew nut etc. We also own a satellite farm 4km away from this farm which has paddy fields and mango trees. The farm is located in a scenic village (Kollengode, Palakkad) in Kerala, India. We are looking for helpers who can make this farm more beautiful and sustainable! This is an ideal place for you to reconnect with nature. Farm work depends on the season, but there is always something meaningful to do. Volunteers ...

Kia Ora. We live in the historic village of Puhoi, about half an hour north of Auckland. We have been hosting through helpx for many years now, and have met some wonderful people along the way. We enjoy sharing our home, garden and countryside surroundings. Our house is a short walk o the village of Puhoi. There are regional parks and beaches are close by. There is the famous Puhoi pub, and the village is on the Te Araroa walkway route. There are other walks and parks nearby to explore in free time. Your own transport is recommended, as there is no public transport into Puhoi, but we can pick up from Hibiscus Coast Bus Station, if you're using Public transport. The work around here are are mainly helping outdoors, gardening, weeding, wheel barrowing, tree pruning, and other practical building types of work if you have the skills,. On wet days there's cleaning to do. Some dog walking or house and dog sitting might also be an option for the right person, own transport a necess...

Our two storey building has ocean views. Self--sustained unit on the ground floor for guests/ workers. Parking space for small to midsize camper. We require from time to time devoted helpers who wish to assist with a plant orchard, veggie gardens, some paint work and house maintenance in exchange for free accommodation and food supply. We prefer helpers who have the right attitude toward working and wanting to give back and who want to make a contribution to this planet. We expect a minimum of one week or longer stay, as negotiated. We are only 10 to 15 minutes from Mission Beach central.

Located in Mani, in the very south of mainland Greece, about 300m above sea level in the foothills of the Taygetos mountain range, overlooking the Messinian Gulf you'll find my 3ha of half olive grove, interspersed with native trees and the other half a naturally grown woodland. I have converted to organic status and returned the land to traditional farming methods, next is growing fruit and vegetables and perhaps keeping some livestock.. The work in hand is varied and includes the maintenance of trees and harvest of olives, clearing land, rebuilding dry stone walls and housing. I aim to combine traditional materials, from sustainable resources, and recycled materials wherever possible and would welcome your help at any time of year, especially though at harvest time Nov.-Feb. In general I prefer longer stays, at least 2 weeks, longer after a trial period. Update: The PV park is up and running for some years now. The house is as good as finished, using mainly locally sourced and re-us...

Hi! We have space available from approximately 28th September 2026. We have not hosted for the last few years and have space for the first time in quite a while. We live in a semi-rural location on 4 hectares of land in Halswell, Christchurch. We have a separate 3-bedroom house on the property for the use of our helpers. You may have this house to yourself, or we may have other helpers staying in the house at the same time. The house is fully self-contained, and set up so that you can provide your own food and cook all your own meals. The property is gated, secure and has a beautiful outlook onto a wildlife pond. Photos are of the separate house you will stay in, except for the photo of the pool which is at the main house. We have two young children aged 5 and 8. We can show you the area, which has good transport and many nice places to visit and walks to do. We are located right at the outskirts of the city but close enough to walk to bus stops, cafes, gym etc. Hours are on...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. Lots of fun things to do and see here and everyone who has stayed has left with a happy and memorable experience.

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. PLEASE NOTE WELL: we absolutely cannot host anyone with any pre-existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions), such as hay fever, any other allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

We have a vineyard that produces award winning wine (Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes), a eucalyptus tree plantation, a large garden (as well as a veggie garden) and a small flock of Dorper sheep, an alpaca, 3 horses and some chickens. We are looking for people that would be willing to stay for a minimum of 4 days and work about 5-6 hours a day/5 days a week in exchange for comfortable accommodation and delicious home cooked meals.

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy to show you basis if you are interested. If you want to discover...
