The farm is 200 hectares making a small enterprise with many aspects. There are no longer any sheep or cattle but my brother is 10 minutes away and often needs my help with his sheep. The arable paddocks have a wheat crop soon to be harvested. I have laying hens (chooks) to care for each day. These positions involve changing beds in dormitories and private rooms, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, common rooms and well versed in organizational skills. Kia ora Helpers, This is Julie, Mike, 1 dog, 5 chickens and some bees. We live in a small lifestyle block in Halswell, on the outskirts of Christchurch city, just a 20min drive from the CBD. Would be easier if you have your own vehicle as the nearest public transport is a 15min walk. There are a few nice walks very close to our house, at the Halswell Quarry, we are not too far from beautiful beaches and mountains. We welcome people to enjoy our home and garden.
