Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis. There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport and you can message us anytime. GENERAL INFORMATION We grow most of our own vegetables. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers. With winter we action a great progressive project to plant and regenerate areas with hundreds of native trees. Creating windbreaks, animal shelter, and native bird habitat. Come and join in on a creative and rewarding project. We generally work 4-5 hours a day. We have clean and ...

There are 4 family members in our family. Me, my wife (dika), son (suman) and a daughter (sudha). The village is located around 600km from Kathmandu with an altitude of 2225 mt. The Ilam district is famous for its tea farms. We have our own organic farm, with fruit & herbal plants and a nursery consisting mainly of kiwi plants. We have also two cows. You can experience rural life in the east of Nepal and you can get a true sense of local rural life. Our village and its surroundings are quite green and it's known as the greenest district of Nepal as well as the tea paradise. If you like, you can do many activities here. Help out in the morning (2 hrs), surf or relax in the afternoon. We are looking for 1 or 2 happy helpers to join our team from mid-September. The work is mainly housekeeping and general hospitality tasks. The jobs are easy, but we are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and a positive “can-do” attitude. In exchange for 2 hours of help each morning, you get: 🏠 free accommodation, dbl room for couples and twin room for friends, 🌴 plenty of free time to surf, explore or simply relax. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building right on 90 Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, Ahipara, a beautiful spot famous for its surfing. We are a small guest house with 18 beds and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Most of our guests come here for surfing and to explore Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem — it’s a great place to hang out, relax and make friends. The beach is right in front of the lodge — a fantastic place to chill, surf, swim, walk or enjoy the sunsets. If you are frie...

Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. The building is a former back-packers hostel which we are gradually turning into campus. that focuses on peacebuilding education. Our aim is "to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation". We are not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that is run by volunteers. We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their stud...

EAT OYSTERS ! Want to help us at BRUNY ISLAND? Possibly this weekend, it's great weather! This would suit a couple or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. About 3 hours work per day include raking, watering, wood stacking etc - nothing difficult. We might even go boating in our small runabout. Food & accommodation provided. Also Star-link WIFI. It’s our holiday house. The ferries depart every 30 minutes from Kettering or I can possibly pick you up. Car preferred. We live & work in Hobart so we usually stay at our house in Hobart. If you have any special skills like cooking, painting, etc tell me - but it’s fine if you don’t. . The house has 2 bedrooms, a cabin, & 3 caravans that also have multiple beds - so we can sleep LOTS of people if needed but sometimes we only need 2 people...

# 🌊 Welcome to Kumihama Bay, Kyoto 🇯🇵 Hello future volunteers, thank you so much for reading my page! We currently have availability in September and October. We look forward to seeing you. Please feel free to send us a message. And we are looking for someone like you who are positive, responsible, and open-minded people who would enjoy authentic countryside life in Japan. This is a shared-life experience rather than a backpacker hostel or party environment. We live together in a quiet coastal area surrounded by nature, seafood farming, local culture, helping each other, and everyday Japanese life. We especially appreciate people who are independent, communicative, flexible, and comfortable contributing to daily life respectfully and cooperatively 😊 If you enjoy meaningful cultural exchange, nature, practical work, and connecting with both local Japanese people and international travelers, you may enjoy staying with us very much. Warm regards, Your future host, Atsushi Toyosh...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

Help grow a permaculture centre & outdoor homeschool in southern Italy We are investing our time, energy and lives into creating a Permaculture Centre and an outdoor nature-based homeschool in southern Italy. We live off‑grid, rooted in the three permaculture ethics: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. What we offer: · Vegetarian/vegan meals (vitto) · Private accommodation in a bungalow · A small, authentic community experience in nature What we are looking for — two kinds of kindred spirits: 1. Families with young children (1–3 years old) who travel with a camper, caravan or tent – and who wish to share daily life, help with small tasks, and participate in a growing vegetarian ecovillage project on land full of energy, beauty and potential. 2. Vegetarian/vegan individuals or couples interested in an immersive experience at our small permaculture centre. You’ll help us with the many daily tasks of country life (gardening, building, cooking, childcare, maintenance, etc.). In excha...

Openings for fall .... Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this FALL with all the wild life right in our back yard :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking, walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house...

My husband Tony and I, offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of a week or two for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (longer stays may be possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. (too cold at the moment unless you are very brave!) Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and ...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) Enjoy the privacy of a self contained Cabin with unlimited WIFI and TV on a separate driveway set on a dry stock (beef) farm less than one hour from Auckland city. By car it less than one hour North of Auckland’s Harbour Bridge. And if you have your own transport the East Coast beaches are nearby. Currently, we are tidying up and replanting around our shrubberies. If you are physically fit, strong, enjoy gardening and being outdoor appeals, please get in touch. All food is provided and in return we ask for five - six hours a day (Sunday’s off). If you can use a weed eater that will be helpful. Many thanks 😊

We have been renovating our 300 year old farm and house since 2007. We have an 16 year old son. We have accomplished a lot but there is still plenty to do. WHAT TO EXPECT: To benefit most from the experience, you should appreciate living in a natural environment, interacting with nature, and other volunteer helpers from different countries and cultures. The air is very clean and fresh because we are at 860 meters of altitude and our farm is surrounded by forest. We are not technically considered a bio farm, however, we value and try to live by its principles. It is a physical lifestyle. It is advised to bring strong shoes and hiking boots if you have them. Having lived in the Alaskan bush for many years, we live rustically. We have both travelled a lot in the past and enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures. HOURS 8 am to 12 TO SEE AND DO HERE: We are near the top of a small mountain ridge. The area is ideal for hiking or mountain biking. There is a « Gaulois...

We are 10 minutes from Byron and we can see the famous Byron lighthouse from our front balcony. We love hosting Help X guests. We also need help in managing a 6000 sq meter block with a garden that needs a lot of work and a big house that needs cleaning. Our house has views and a pool and spa as well as a media room, all of which, we share with you. If you are over 25, we may be able to lend you a small Toyota Yaris which is registered for free Byron Bay parking in most places. You can use it for short trips into Byron and but you will need to work out how to share the car and petrol costs if we have several helpers staying. I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden. I prefer to get requests for dates less than two weeks ahead and helpers that wish to stay from a few days up to one week. Sorry no smokers. ps I have a dog.

I am looking for two or three helpers for 7-10 days in late September. Warm greetings from rural Byron Shire. I have hosted helpers regularly to help me to clear and tidy my sloping one hectare garden, which continues growing vigorously, and with other necessary maintenance tasks around my home. I would welcome a couple or two or three friends to work with me for a week or more from about 24 September. No particular experience is necessary, but any practical skills might be useful, and reasonable fitness is needed. I’m happy to share my own skills with willing helpers and will be working with you. Three to four hours of work per day in return for plentiful food and drink, and your own comfortable accommodation in my guest bedroom(s). I live in the Byron Bay hinterland, with my dog Rosie, in quiet country with ocean views and sightings of numerous wildlife. I come from England but have settled in Australia for the past 19 years, after travelling extensively around the world for bot...

Originally from France and Germany, we are living in Canada since 1990 where we raised our 4 children who are now adults living their lives :) We moved to this marvelous region in September 2025 and just bought an old heritage house which was abandoned since over 20 years! We don't live in the house yet (living in a tiny house on a farm 1km from there), but plan to move in for the winter. Only the bathroom is almost ready to use. So, for right now, we are looking for helpers willing to camp (pitch a tent in our yard or sleeping in your van). The spot is a little bit outside of the scenic village of St-Germain, with view on the St-Lawrence River and 3km from the beach. We definitively need help with the restoration work: helping Michel on the roof with traditional roofing techniques, helping Hildegund inside with painting, sanding and oiling the floors,... or even outside preparing the garden and orchard. Michel is cabinet maker and artist. Hildegund is psychologist and playtherapist...

Hi helpers! We are sammy and nick We have moved from our farm to a new place on the coorong in SA! The local town of Meningie! We have built a beautiful home on the lake. and have been hosting helpers for almost 8 years! Check our reviews The position we have currently would suit either a couple or a single. The position is a bee keepers assistant and you would be required to help with bee keeping tasks with Nick like extracting and labelling honey and also taking care of some light house chores like mowing lawn and basic tidy up. If you have your own car that is preferred but not a dealbreaker. ability to drive a manual car would be good. It’s can be hot and sweaty work outdoors in the sun and you cannot be allergic to bees. It can also be very messy and sticky. We would provide you with a room in our home. It is a new build on the lakeside with our dog hoodoo and Nick and myself. We are flexible with task times as Nick and myself still work while managing the bees. So times when w...

Hi There. My daughter and I live on 13 beautiful acres in Loburn, Nth Canterbury, with our flatmate who is also a crazy horse lady. A lovely river boundary property. We are 3 humans, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and up to 13 horses and chickens. We are looking for general help on our land and with our horses. Interest in organic horticulture/agriculture etc a plus. There are usually set jobs that need doing… horse manure that needs picking up…. is a main task. We ask for only 2 hours per day as we don’t provide meals. 2.

I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) We are 10 minutes from Byron and we can see the famous Byron lighthouse from our front balcony. We love hosting Help X guests. We also need help in managing a 6000 sq meter block with a garden that needs a lot of work and a big house that needs cleaning. You’re welcome to accumulate hours if you’d like to plan for days off for day trips in the area etc. so your schedule is up to you. :) We would prefer couples (friends or partners) or extremely self motivated singles. I love meeting new people but have an ongoing health condition that drains my energy so I spend a fair bit of time in recharge mode.
