We live on the beautiful Central coast which is half way between Sydney and Newcastle. Our house is located 5min drive from the beach and have a bus stop at the end of the road. There is a lovely lake at the end of the lane and there are lovely walks around us as we live near National Parkes. We are about 1 hour from Sydney by train. We are a family of 4 with very busy lives. On some weekends we also do markets selling handcrafted local jams and chutneys. And during the week we work and the kids do a lot of after school sports. We love helpX and the exchange of cultures and ideas as well as different foods. You will be very welcome to cook anytime for the family and share your favou...

Hi. We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a dog and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accommodation, meals (please provide your own snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found their way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g. 1 or 2 weeks or months stay but ...

We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. If you are coming to the South Island by ferry from Wellington we are great place to aim for. Drive along the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive. At Linkwater turn right into Kenepuru Road. Continue on for another 14k and turn left into Mahau Road. Almost here, just another 4.09k to go and you reach our special, magic part of the world. There are kayaks so you can explore the Mahau Sound At night time it is a short walk to see the glow worms sprinkled along the banks at the top of the drive. Your bed is comfortable, the shower pressure is great. The washing machine is there for you to use. In fact your stay here will be almost like visiting with your family. Brian forgets he is 83 and is always working on something. I am busy in the house or out in the garden. There is always something to do here. We try to keep the gorse and wilding pines down without spraying. This means pulling out gorse and wilding pine seedlings. We will be pruning and feeding the six fruit trees in our orcha...

Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. We are looking for people who have gardening experience and people who have skills in small building works. From March 2026 to November 2026 We are landscaping our garden at the villa. This is a new project, therefore it is pretty much a blank canvas at the moment. We need building skills as we are looking to terrace part of the garden and will need some walls built and some plastering. We will provide accommodation food and the use of a car. We don't expect you to work more than 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. So plenty of time to explore the area. NOTE: The first image is a computer generated image of what we would like it to be. The bottom ones are closer to what it is right now, but it has moved on a bit. The villa itself is finished, so accommodation and the kitchen etc. is fully functional.

We live on a farm on Kangaroo Island where we farm with sheep and run a cropping enterprise. My husband is Australian and I am South African and I speak English and Afrikaans. Travis runs the farm with his brother and team, and I am a dietitian working in town. We have 2 kids, aged 6 and 8, and also have pets: horse, dogs, cat, chickens, canaries. We are looking for someone to help us out mainly with housekeeping/gardening as I have had several surgeries to my wrists and have limited functionality of my hands and chronic pain, hence basic housework are quite challenging for me. We have a large farmyard/garden which needs ongoing care, although we have adapted it to be more low maintenance due to my health issue. If you are happy to entertain the kids for an hour or two here and there whilst I do an errand in town etc, that would be a big plus. The kids are used to having HelpX/Au pairs around and they love interacting and getting to know new people. Should you be interested to be invol...

Kia ora, travellers! WE HAD A CANCELLATION,... many fruits are ripe: grapes, apples, nashi, pears, cider vinegar apples ... I need help/someone with experience in juicing, preserving and bottling. Also, a bamboo structure could be built as a lean-to to my shed, for the rest - please read my profile below: ;-)) Haere mai - welcome - to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, there are now mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-maki...

Hi I need some help from 15th March 2026 wood splitting the firewood and general chores if you are able to help it would be much appreciated. I generate some of my own power with solar electric and solar hot water, make muesli, laundry detergent, soap, jams, preserves, seed saving, grow beef and vegetables, cook on a wood burning stove in winter and keep bees for honey. While I do these things I don't do them every day as farms are seasonal. I have a variety of general jobs that are ongoing. Most of the current work is weeding and mulching the permaculture food forest. Your separate accommodation is in a tiny house - see photos - which has a private kitchen, bathroom, lounge and mezzanine bedroom plus an outside deck area. There is one big bed in the mezzanine bedroom that sleeps 2 and a sofa bed in the lounge which also sleeps 2. I provide your food but you will need to do your own cooking. I also teach permaculture courses a few times during the year. There is about an acre of pyo...

Come experience the stunning views of Te Mata overlooking Whangarei Harbour and Bream Bay. We are looking for helpX volunteers for one or more weeks in exchange for accommodation in a spacious room in the main house, 3 delicious meals a day, and, of course, a great time. Alcohol is available at cost. If we click, long-term stays (until late May 2026) are preferred, just like several of our previous helpers who stayed with us for more than five months! The vacancy is available now. Our 12-hectare lifestyle block is located 20 minutes/km south of Whangarei (15 minutes by car to Bream Bay sandy beaches). It's an oasis of 50% native bush, rest paddocks and subtropical orchards: 60% bananas and a canopy of schizolobium, cherimoyas, papayas, mango, feijoa, and temperate fruits. Not to forget the SACRED GROVE where many events like parties, weddings (Ceremony and Reception) took place. If you're arriving by public transport, we can arrange a pickup in Whangarei. However, having your own car...

Things have changed alot in the last few years as we sold our cattle herd in 2018, so I don't spend my life around cattle 24/7 like I did for 30 years. My husband retired from his Drilling job up north for 46 years, after 3 heart attacks, a shoulder repair and a major hip replacement, and a knee surgery this past December. I don't work at the local bank anymore. We do however have alot going on and are still on the farm. Now that the pandemic is over, we are welcoming travellers again. We are usually looking for a responsible person to help look after pets, and 4 horses that love attention, and helping with garden in spring, produce or yard maintenance. Baking is my hobby, now that I am not working in the office anymore, and attending Market fests in surrounding towns. I also have a seasonal tax business from home and occasionally have to DJ for a wedding, or other social event in the area. I used to do alot but am slowing down now. We live on our farm with 4 horses. We've had...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. As long as you are an easygoing person to talk, open-minded and fluent in English, you can join us. As we are NOT looking for English teachers, it really doesn't matter which country you're from and you don't have to teach but have a conversation in English. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room has a double bed attached to the house with a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for summer vineyard and winemaking work are available now, starting in January 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is...

The home and accommodation are on the Beach front in a small coastal town. The beach front home is only 100mts to the ocean so great for all beach activities out the front gate. There is Separate accommodation to main house with amenities. Work will involve travelling to the several properties to help inspect livestock waters and wellbeing. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities ...
