Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish; fruit/veg etc. Swim at the beach across the road, go fishing or take out the kayaks (experience+wearher dependent). Take the bike and pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri. Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into the vast iconic view and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, as we move into the dotage we need help with the massive task of #296, so we are keen to have people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. We also enjoy welcoming solo travellers from anywhere, any age, who may not have a car. Your help will help me realize a ten-year plan. 1. To create gardens t...

Hi there! We are a family of six living in the countryside beside the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We have a large organic garden and orchard and are struggling to keep the weeds out and the fruit picked with our new baby who has just arrived. We would love a little help with a few garden projects and also general weeding and harvesting for the next couple of months through the summer. We would also love help with our three older children who are two, seven and nine and who love to play and swim in the sea which is a two minute walk from our house. We also have a one year old gentle puppy who needs walks. We can offer a lovely large bedroom studio with private bathroom and kitchenette in exchange for three to four hours helping out per day. We also invite you to eat dinner with us each day. If you prefer to do all your own cooking, just two hours of helping out each day in exchange for accommodation that is great too. We are a vegetarian and vegan household. We don't smoke and would prefe...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hi! We are a family of 4: Madalyn (that’s me) is a therapist and artist, Greg is a fisherman, Gray is our indoor/outdoor cat, and Olivine is our little baby born July 2025. We are looking for someone to help take care of Olivine, at most for a few hours a day, a few days per week, while I see my clients from home via Telehealth. Our home is a 5 minute walk from the ocean, with excellent snorkeling, coral reef, and fish, and whales in the winter. It’s a quiet community, warm and sunny all year, and not far from attractions like hiking, the volcano, beaches, and more. However it is pretty remote; the nearest stores are at least 20 minutes by car, though you can get coffee, avocados, eggs, macadamia nuts, and tropical fruit from nearby farm stands. Helpers get their own private apartment downstairs with bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. Gray (cat) is not allowed in there so those with allergies have a cat-free zone. We like to share meals often and provide some basic gro...

Hello travellers! My daughter (19) and I both enjoy getting to know people from different countries. We like to get out and about spending time at the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or walking in the bush. We also love nature photography, such as capturing the aurora, bioluminescence, sunsets and funghi. So I am happy to show you some of what we have to offer in Tassie. In summer I am on holidays as I work as a teacher, and I do more outdoor activities. During term time we are not home much during work hours, so we seek people who are happy in their own company for part of the day. When we get home we usually head out for a walk on the beach with the dogs. On the weekends we like to spend time outdoors. I would like help with cooking, cleaning, gardening and dog walking, I also have a few repair jobs I would like help with and I would like to build a small shed, but I would only ask you to do this if you knew how. In the garden I am trying to increase the organic content in...

Hi, We're looking for someone for a week or so sometime after 11 February. We’re in rural North Canterbury, only 30 mins drive from. We’re on a 10 acre minifarm with a few sheep and young cattle and a large organic vegetable garden which we eat from every day. By car we're about 7 minutes drive to the sea, an hour to Hanmer Springs, 20 minutes from the Waipara Valley vineyard area. We have bicycles you can borrow to explore locally, and if you like hiking up hills there are a few nice tracks in close driving distance. In fact, I like hiking too, so I can maybe be your guide if I'm not otherwise busy. Accommodation is in a comfortable sleepout (queen bed) and you would use the bathroom in the house and share meals with us. Spring has sprung so its a busy time in the garden, so I expect we will be spending a lot of time gardening. I usually like some help with housework, and there's a desk that needs another coat of polyurethane. If you like cooking I have a nice kitchen for it. W...

Just 10 minutes from Lismore and 5 mins from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, our elevated, 9 hectare property at Rock Valley, is also within easy reach of the Border Ranges National Park and the coast. The farm is our long-term project to improve local biodiversity, and supports a growing population of amazing native wildlife. We share an interest in landcare, creative arts and community with a network of nearby friends, experienced in bush regeneration and propagation. We are very grateful for any help but most of all love the opportunity to share others' skills and experience, and having time to get acquainted. The workload is variable depending on the weather and season, but generally fun, and usually followed by morning tea. Accommodation is a fully restored, air-conditioned cottage, located 50 metres from the main house.

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

A perfect location from which to explore Nelson city We would like to offer accommodation ONLY in exchange for two hours of work per day. We prefer short stays, usually 2-4 days but are open to longer. We have had some lovely helpers in the past and enjoyed the experience very much. We are both quiet and social. Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

Just a peaceful place that needs some t.l.c. every once and a while, like gardening, creating and cleaning, cooking depending on the weather. Were a couple and we love to hear about what's happening in the world, from different perspectives.. Were not traveling at present, so this is the next best thing.... having someone in a tiny home, helping, sharing and learning. . .. I love dancing, music, and arts which is included in our home environment. Riding motor bikes, or a little game of table tennis, creating trails, riding on the bicycle trails, hiking, swimming, & watching sun sets. Never boring around here for me, I am in the process of becoming more self sufficient, planted many trees. Created gardens, wanting someone who loves being in nature, needs/wants growing time on there own. I want a caretaker of the land. Also sharing together, I'm going to school this coming year for Feldenkrais (ATM) so I want some one who wants to explore in the back yard of dirt. The more alive our...

I seek a couple of travellers to come and help me with some basic property maintenance..., this means raking up leaves into piles, collecting sticks and branches, weeding and watering my veggie patch. These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay. The weather is just perfect at the moment and all the usual Australian native animals are here and roam freely...

I can't see the world, but the world can come see me. First and foremost, I want to thank all the helpers who came from United Kingdom-England, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Welcome Helpers. We are a family of 5 living in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Sue is the founder of Peaceful Hollow. Her daughter Ruth moved to the Hollow later as well as her husband Tim and their 2 daughters. Our hollow is quite with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night! Our homestead consists of Sue, Tim & Ruth's cabins and one very small guest cabin. Also, there is an private guestroom with private entrance on the second floor above the workshop/cabin combination. . We have a lot you can be involved in, knowledge to share, friendships to build, and opportunities for growth. Below are our routines and some projects. We would love to involve you! - Caring for our chickens, cats, dogs, one registered...

We are a retired couple, who live on a beautiful rural lifestyle block 25 minutes from Rotorua, and 5 minutes from the renowned Waikite Valley hot pools. We have 3 cows, 4 chickens, 2 cats and a very friendly border collie. We would like help with the gardens, firewood and other chores around the farm Accommodation is a fully self-contained yurt, so we would prefer someone who is self-contained, in exchange for a couple of hours work a day. Rotorua is a very unique, thermal area of NZ offering one-of-a-kind experiences, and much to see and do.
