G'DAY / HELLO / BONJOUR / HOLA / CIAO / HALLO 12/04/25 - We are not taking anyone until mid-end June due to holidays Hey, we are Éva (41) and Chooky (39). We have a 2400m2 block just out of town with 50+ chickens and baby chicks. We currently do not have dogs or cats as we have lost our 3 fur-babies in the last 12 months. We may start to foster pets soon but we first need to grieve the loss of our babies. We have accommodation and shared facilities to offer in exchange for some help. Stay with us from 1 week, or for a few weeks. We have been hosting Helpers since October 2023 and have had people from Germany, Italy, Canada, UK, America, Netherlands and many many people from France. Everyone is so unique and each one of these people have been a wonderful contribution to our home and our lives. We love to teach people the Aussie slang, and have a laugh over learning each other's languages. FEATURES: - 50m to the nearest bus stop - 100m to the nearest shopping complex - Foodworks su...

Come and learning how to play with the plants. We are looking for apprentice/ helpers from now until the end of November (weather dependent). We prefer helpers who can stay for at least 8 weeks, though depending on our needs and the time of year we will consider a shorter stay. We are a small market garden, providing vegetables, berries, herbs and edible flowers to our Local food Co-op, a retail farmers market, restaurants and families in the Nelson area. My husband and I have been running the market garden for 13 years. Gardening experience is not essential; we prefer a desire and willingness to learn. There is room for your inspiration and creativity here. If you have an interest in guiding and teaching others you can take on various challenges in the leaderships aspects of the garden operation. We are looking for apprentices/Helpers with a serious and genuine interest in learning organic market gardening skills, You must be teachable, able to follow directions, ask questions as ...

On the 25th of August Lydia is going to visit her family, who she hasn't seen for 35 years, for 2 months. That leaves Alan on his own for 2 months and he would dearly love some company and assistance. If 1 or 2 of you lovely people would like to keep him company, please let us know. I have a vacancy from the 4th September until 25th of October, so if you would like to come anytime between those dates, please let me know as soon as you can. In addition to everything else, I would love someone who knows how to use Light Room and or Photoshop and would be happy to teach me. Hey good people, we would love 1 or 2 people to come and give us a hand. We are Alan and Lydia, a middle-aged couple being as self-sufficient as we can be. Solar power, rainwater, organic gardens, chickens, quail, 8 bee hives, 2 friendly dogs. The cooler weather is here and it's time to start getting things done. Like gardening, building more chicken pens, harvesting honey, some fencing (not much) hanging a couple of...

This is a certified organic macadamia nut orchard situated on 10ha in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. We can pick helpers up from Swanson train station, which is 6km away. Having your own transport would enable you to explore the beautiful west coast beaches. Bethells Beach/Te Henga is 10km further down the road. Helpers activities are seasonal, and may include harvesting macadamia nuts in winter; processing the nuts; shelter belt maintenance; firewood splitting; weed grubbing and minimal gardening. We work alongside helpers and show you what to do. Please be aware that orchard work is physical, you will get dirty and there could be a few bugs! We request an average of 4 hours help per night stayed in return for food and accommodation. So that is 28 hours per week. However we aim to have a day off each week by working 2 x 6 hour days, or an 8 hour day. We can usually be flexible and also consider our helper's wishes. Work starts at 9am. We have a separate co...

We are a nonprofit horse rehabilitation center that offers rescue, education on equine care, volunteering, community service, owner assistance programs. We need hands on to help with projects we are working on to complete as well as facility maintenance. Would love to have some energetic people that want to make a difference in horses lives here. Thats what is all about is helping these animals go from neglect to finding a forever home. You don't have to have experience we can teach you. If working hands on with horses is not your thing and you admire them there's lots of things you can still do to help them prepare for homes. What we are not: We are not a riding stables. We give lessons when able after all chores completed and trainer is here on certain days (when available) and during certain times of the year. So if your intention is to spend lots of time "in the saddle" we don't do that here. We aren't a "working ranch" for people to ride horses all day and move cattle, ride trai...

Hello! Thank you for reading our profile. Guy, myself and our dog Ava would love to welcome you to our home and community up here in Far North Queensland. A place like no other. At the northern edge of the Daintree rainforest, adjacent to the pristine waters of Wallaby Creek (safe for swimming) and surrounded by excellent bush walks, visitors can enjoy numerous activities. Located only a few kilometres north is the Lions Den Hotel, which features live bands during the tourist season and offers a unique experience. The southern route through the Daintree to Port Douglas showcases breathtaking coastal scenery. We invite you to join us on your days off to explore our hills and discover many amazing places that are typically known only to locals. In December 2023, our region experienced significant flooding, marking the largest regional flood in recorded history. Many homes, possessions, and lands were lost as waters reached up to 14 meters high. Despite over a year passing since the ev...

We have lived on our farm for 4 years now, a 26 acre small holding in the beautiful south hams area of South Devon about 10 minutes drive to Dartmoor and 25 minutes to the beach and close to the amazing and very alternative and interesting town of Totnes. We are in need of a hand in getting things working efficiently- so many jobs and so little time! This could include helping to work on the old barn and make it into a better space to work in (any carpentry/building type skills would be amazing). Then we have poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese) and 40 pigs to look after/muck out/sort pens and houses plus lots to do in the vegetable area. We are attempting to build a lovely shapely toilet block for potential campers and need to erect a garden potting shed etc. etc. We would like to build a Cob and glass greenhouse (subject to getting planning approval) too so anyone who fancies building with cob would be welcome. The vision is to keep working with farming practices that supp...

Do you long to step away from the outside world for a while and immerse yourself in nature ? Then look no further as we are looking for helpers in our wee piece of Paradise at the moment ......... Our farm is 100 acres of deer-fenced land on the Otago Peninsula. The help we require is some basic garden maintenance, wood splitting, weed-eating etc. We are an animal besotted family with 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (please NOTE we have retired drugs dogs so if you use even occasionally, whilst we are not judging you, please don't bother offering your services !). We need helpers who are energetic, honest, fun, caring, conscientious, can get on with jobs without requiring supervision and are not glued to a device!!! Some equestrian knowledge would be good (but not necessary) as you will be helping with the daily care of the horses. We are a working farm, so sorry but no pets thanks. My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and providing them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom. All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors, and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect to answer all their questions, pose for pictures, and be invited...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

In exchange for 1.5 hours help/day, I provide free accommodation and use of all facilities. That includes use of the bicycles, laundry, fast wifi and work-out area. The kitchen is well-stocked with spices and condiments, but you provide for your own meals. Currently a dorm bed is available for a single person and a private room for a couple. It is a 5 minute walk to the centre of Takaka here in the centre of Golden Bay so all facilities are convenient. And easy bicycling distance to the beaches and trails/caves. Hours are flexible usually depending on your schedule. This allows you to enjoy an entire day off when the weather is looking great. I require at least a 3 day stay or longer commitment up to a few weeks. Help needed includes garden cleanup and some tree pruning. The house is shared usually with 2-3 people depending on the comings and goings of friends or woofers. And now I have the addition of a new labradoodle puppy named Rosie. Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for helpers between the ages of 18 to 35. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely share with local flora and fauna. In this way, there will be enough for us and enough for the animals around us. To do this we have created a sustainable way of living that includes holiday...

This beautiful, 2.5 hectare garden, set in the heart of Haute-Normandie Pays de Caux near the English Channel and whose light inspired the Impressionist movement, which can be loosely translated as an Arthouse garden. This is not a run of the mill HelpX destination. There is a real opportunity to learn and have a totally unique experience while staying in the 17th century Priory in the centre of the garden. Cécile, the gardening artist or artistic gardener (she conforms to both), welcomes you to join her in this artistic gardening adventure. Previous experience of gardening and some basic French are welcome but not essential as Cecile can get by in English, Spanish and German and will teach you all you need to know; the work, of course, changes with the seasons and can be a variety of brute force and delicate sensitivity but never forgetting that this is an artistic adventure and is open to the public. Help Xers are invited to food and accommodation in return for an average of 5/6 ho...

We live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 15 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. Gardening and maintenance help on the foothills of stunning Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. We have a villa in Sicily on the lower slopes of Mount Etna, just outside a small town, and divide our time between UK and Sicily and are a bilingual household. Our house is spacious, with beautiful views of Etna, the sea, and Taormina in the distance. Etna is ideal for nature lovers (spectacular landscape, donkey and horse riding, hiking, quad biking), and there are several pretty towns in eastern Sicily, vineyards, archaeological sites as well as beaches. We've welcomed guests here from around the world for many years. Our interests are the arts, travel and animal welfare. Tasks: - Garden maintenance: clearing leaves, weeds and brambles, cutting back growth, sometimes sweeping volcanic ash. To dispose of garden waste, some experience of shredding/mulching, composting and controlled burning is important. The garden is about 2000 sqm. * Please let us know what skills you can offer us in your message ** We are a married couple. We have been working at improving the old farmhouse we live in for the past twenty years. We are in our late forties but are young at heart:) We have two dogs and a cat. We work outside the home. Ciarán is a landscape gardener and Anne-Marie is a teacher. Ideally you are open minded, flexible, positive even when it's raining or tasks are boring (!) and independent regarding your free time. We ask that you demonstrate care for the environment by not having long showers, using very little chemicals for washing (e.g.by using soap ) and by turning off lights when they are not necessary. You will have your own spare bedroom with wifi access and will share the bathroom with us. There is a couch in our open plan kitchen where you can relax in the evening with a book or maybe you would like to give yoga or meditation a try with Anne-Marie who is a qualified yoga and meditation teacher. Hello and a Warm Welcome, I built this eco-house from earth bricks and natural timbers, to create a healthy, relaxing environment. It's on a 17 acre (6.7 hectare) paradise looking onto native bush, located in the Bombay Hills, about 60km south of Auckland CBD and 12km from the bus stop or the nearest shop. I've studied Organic Horticulture and grow our food that way, living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. There's avocado, lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit, banana, peach, walnut, macadamia trees, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs. Personally I eat an "O" blood type diet including meat, without grains or dairy, but I can buy them for you. Please tell me your food needs as I want you to be happy. Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions to work on their own, and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go. I like to have people around me who are conscious and conscientious. Please ...

We have lived on our farm for 4 years now, a 26 acre small holding in the beautiful south hams area of South Devon about 10 minutes drive to Dartmoor and 25 minutes to the beach and close to the amazing and very alternative and interesting town of Totnes. We are attempting to build a lovely shapely toilet block for potential campers and need to erect a garden potting shed etc. etc. We would like to build a Cob and glass greenhouse (subject to getting planning approval) too so anyone who fancies building with cob would be welcome.

Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions to work on their own, and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go. 18/07/25 - I'm looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a week or more. The main jobs at the moment are weeding, planting, log cutting & painting. The weather right now is amazing so a great time to be out in the garden! I live in a 5 bedroom house (a work in progress) with a large garden & lovely views. My son & daughter (age 24 & 23) also live locally & occasionally visit to help out. We need someone to help with the weeding, landscaping and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not (especially painting and cleaning). In return you'll have your own room, TV and WiFi and be well fed as we love cooking and baking! You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome. Helping hours would be around 4-5 h...
