Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Kia ora, travellers! WE HAD A CANCELLATION,... many fruits are ripe: grapes, apples, nashi, pears, cider vinegar apples ... I need help/someone with experience in juicing, preserving and bottling. Also, a bamboo structure could be built as a lean-to to my shed, for the rest - please read my profile below: ;-)) Haere mai - welcome - to my whare (home) in beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and insects. We built this eco-earth house using local clay from right under our feet. This land used to be just grass, but after 30 years of caring for this whenua, there are now mature trees, orchards, and organic gardens. Life here is peaceful and quiet, perfect for enjoying nature I am part of the local landcare group, helping protect our native forest, birds, lizards, and insects. We trap predators and remove invasive weeds. You could help with organic/permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, chickens, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-maki...

Would like an energetic couple or single person to help out with gardening, and housework. We would expect about 4-5 hours help a day in return for free accommodation and meals. Large bedroom and own bathroom. We have animals so, would prefer someone who enjoyed them being around. There are many wonderful places to explore in Hawkes Bay when you are not working. Fantastic cycle ways, tramping trips into the native bush areas, beaches and wonderful wineries. Prefer you to have your own car to get around and beable to see the region.

West Coast Canada Experience - preference given to longer stay helpers - taking waiting list for interested helpers for minimum 2 months Purpose built oceanfront B&B with 3 private self-contained studio suites on the 2nd floor of our home which is on the first floor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, biking & hiking at our waterfront B&B. You'll have your own private room. If you have a valid drivers license, and are staying for at least 2 months you may use one of our cars. This requires a discussion, and is on a case by case basis. Cleaning rooms to our 5 star standard is the primary work. Limited gardening, yard work, helping around the B&B with all aspects of running a home-based business. Must be physically fit to do this. Crewing on our boat is optional if you like it - not everyone is comfortable being on the ocean. Here is what a typical summer day looks like: About 1/4 of our guests purchase breakfast. On those mornings at 7:30 am we're in the kitchen preparing breakfast. 8:45 -...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bike, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. The ...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike. Our current projects which we would love some help with, include getting the outside of the house ready for and painting, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got tr...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Hello, I live with my mother and stepfather on a lifestyle property in Waipapa, Northland. Our property is on a kiwi bird zone and we hear them most nights; dogs and cats aren’t allowed so the native bird life flourish on our property eg Tui’s. We are 10 minute drive from Kerikeri; a rural town with many kiwifruit, lemon and mandarin orchards, farmers markets and historical and natural attractions. A good location to access the beaches of northland or visit the historic town of Russell or Paihai beach. We'd like a helper for household duties, care work and gardening. I need help with basic personal care (setting up for meals eg juicing or heating food, making the bed, doing washing, ironing, doing the dishes, passing things, cleaning, light cooking, and chopping vegetables). I am flexible with the hours - options to work a mix of morning, day or evening in a week. 28hrs per week (4hrs per day equivalent). 5 days minimum and open to long stays. Help needed mainly on the farm, campsite and b&b. I also run yoga retreats here on the Farm. At the moment I am specifically looking for some one or a couple of people to be here to look after my dog and two cats and to tent to plants (mainly vegetables) while I will be away in Italy for a month from mid April to mid May - preferably starting early April so you can get to know the place a bit before I leave. I am also looking for some volunteers specifically for two yoga retreats I am running. One 9th - 16th March and one 31st March - 8th April. This will involve helping ot prepare the rooms for guests and helping with preparing meals and keeping the house tidy and guests cared for during the retreat. You will be treated as also being part of the retreat and be able to take part in the yoga classes and eat with the paying gu...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Sorry folks, but we are now fully booked until the beginning of September 2026. There may be a cancellation, but these are very rare, but if you are in the area, reach out, we love to chat :) As well as the normal homesteading tasks, if you want to learn about wine making, bee keeping, self defense, jewellery making, or help Tony with his self defense book and video courses, we could be a great match. Have a think, take a look at our reviews and if you are interested, drop us a line, *** Our beautiful countryside homestead (only 5 acres so not really a farm) is in the mountainous hills above the historic castle town of Caccamo, Sicily. It is surrounded scraggy mountains and long valley walks. It is perfect for hiking or just relaxing in the sun with a good book. Within easy traveling distance for those interested in exploring this culturally rich island, is the seaside town of Cefalù or even the main capital city of Palermo, both are easily accessible by bus and train from the lo...

Tēnā koutou, We are a French/Algerian/Kiwi family. We moved to the North of the South Island (Te Wai Pounamou) in 2023 and live on a four hectare property where there is lots to be done. Mathew is into agroecology, permaculture and conservation. He has experience running workshops and leading work groups. Rym is interested in Indigenous knowledge, community development and the disruption of the current economic system. We speak French and English at home. You would learn about the NZ rural lifestyle, agroecology and permaculture techniques, food conservation, pest control, and probably lots more. There are a range of tasks to be done, mainly gardening, fencing work, animal care (chickens and sheep) and fire wood cutting/stacking/moving. Possibly some small renovation tasks for those with the right skills. Tasks will depend on the season and what travellers are comfortable doing, as well as what they want to learn. An awesome 2 bedroom settlers cottage, which was built in the 1860s. It ...

Namaste! Thank you for stopping by. :-) I hope you will join me on my journey for a month, 2 months, or long-term. I have a pair of picturesque, riverfront hobby farms, each with a large 4-bedroom house. I am transitioning the farms to more of a communal space. There are three acres of wild blueberries that I am currently converingt to organic production, six acres of pasture, and about eight acres of woods that provide more than enough firewood to heat both homes without having to clear-cut any areas. I have a small herd of alpacas and an even smaller flock of chickens, whom I allow to free range. We harvest a small portion of our food from the property, and my vision is to increase that slowly and steadily every year. For a long-term (and possibly lifetime) stay, I would particularly interested in these 3 individuals: 1. Someone to manage the livestock, including monthly shots for the alpacas 2. Someone to process and market the alpaca fibre 3. Someone to manage the little antiq...

Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Hello Helpxers, I generally host between 2 and 4 people to help me out on a beautiful farm I have just bought in South Wales. Start date as soon as possible. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure.
