Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I am a single parent with 2 grown adults and a young lady in university i run a small party decorating business and have a small general home and hardware store, the wedding business is very interesting and demanding, hence me looking and seeking out for help.thanks Due to other duties that needs to be done in the shop. There are skills that can be learnt here which will be useful. Such as experience in customer service skills and making floral centrepieces you will also improve on English skills if this is needed The person i am looking for must be very neat and clean I am looking for someone who is willing to commit to at least a minimum of 2 or 3 months and also keep to the time agreed and not break the staying time half way through. (this can be very devastating if the reason is trivial) I am looking for someone who is not lazy to work and is very conversant with keeping their environment tidy. you will have your own sleeping area The person must be neat and ready to...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! Hello! My name is Hugo and I live on the slopes of San Pedro volcano in Guatemala, in a wild and truly isolated area of Lake Atitlan, accessible only by water. There are no roads, no close neighbors and no noise. Just pure nature, the songs of birds and a stunning beach. I’m on a journey to build a home in this paradise. Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

*** Looking for someone with a background in nursing or physiotherapy to support after a hip implant*** We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, physically fit, want to get your hands dirty and love to be outdoors you will love it her...

I am in the Madonie Park. It's a small experimental farm. I chose to get out of the city routine and come and live in the Madonie park surrounded by nature. the house is big enough and comfortable. I offer volunteers an independent room and a second bathroom. I have some animals: a mare, a donkey, 5 dogs, 12 goats, 10 hens, 1 cat. I need help taking care of the house, in the care of the peaceful animals, some gardening work. During the milk period I milk some goats and produce the cheese, yogurt and ricotta. Sometimes I like to cook together with my guests it's definitely a cultural exchange. Ros' languages are basic Spanish and Portuguese and very bad English. I like to wake up early and work, animals don't like to wait. The daily tasks are carried out calmly .

Hi, I am looking for one or two helpers. Luna is a well presented, blue water cruising yacht, at present in Airlie Beach. I am undertaking work to ready her for extended cruising, overseas. I live aboard the yacht, so the accommodation is onboard. Accommodation comprises of a forward double cabin, with its own bathroom. Work is varied cleaning, polishing, sewing, etc. Some mechanical work, needing an extra pair of hands. I would expect guests to help me for 4-5 hours per day. Weekends off, I would hope. In return for meals and accommodation. I enjoy sailing, fishing, diving, and bush walking, and showing of the beauty of the Whitsundays, and the Queensland coast. Weather providing. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Tim

With winter approaching, we're looking for help with various tasks around our properties. We need assistance with general spring cleaning tasks outside such as pruning, gardening, washing buildings, lawn mowing, etc. In exchange for 4 hours of work per day, we offer accommodation, meals, and free Wi-Fi. June . . .:) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this spring or early summer :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards at the river ...

Greetings intrepid explorers from exotic distant lands, come and hang out at my place. I offer a lovely warm house, a majestic view, beautiful bread, and copious amounts of fish. The work varies from domestics and gardening to building and painting. In exchange I ask for 3 hours per day (9 to 12) [or 3 days of 4hrs gets a day off], and the odd domestic chore. You don't work on the day you arrive or the day you leave (except to put fresh linen on the bed). Stays last about 2 weeks. Behind my place is the mighty Coromandel Range so you can go bush-crashing up the creek, into the wild. Swim and fish on the beach. Maybe use windsurfer boards (as kayaks) and go fishing. Or take a trip out to my magic fishing spot with me. Possibly cycle 4km to Waiomu and walk 1hr or jog 20min to a stunning Kauri Grove. 10km to Thames. The Pinnacles track is about 45miutes away for a great overnighter.

Namaste! Welcome to our farm and family. We are established as small organic farmers with our parents since 1995, working with Himalayan Permaculture Center based in Surkhet (western part of Nepal). We are a permaculture family with two generation, three of us have our PDC but we are all invested in our land. We are five and three of us speak quite good English but our parent English is simpler, so you will learn some Nepali! If you want to discover the traditional Nepali lifestyle and learn about culture and festival in the Katmandu valley, and also in the same time learn and share your knowledge about permaculture, you are at the good place! Only fifteen minutes by taxi from Thamel (you can also come by bus). You are more than welcome in this nice place that looks like a village. On our land, we grow many different classic vegetables (Tomato, cucumber, peas, potato, onion, garlic…) and we also grow some cereals (wheat, rice…) using Fukuoka system(No Tilling Farming) and System of R...

Kia ora We have a small flower farm in the Bay of Plenty, halfway between Tauranga and Katikati. The flower farm is set amongst the trees and gardens of our two acres, which has spectacular views out to sea and across to the Kaimai Ranges. My husband has a small olive grove, we have a wide range of fruit trees and grow seasonal vegetables. We are looking for help in the garden from April. As well as the usual weeding and mulching, we have a couple of small projects to complete that require someone who is happy to do some digging. Our little guest cottage (please see the photos attached) has a bedroom, bathroom and private verandah, and we provide all your meals. If you have some gardening, horticulture, landscaping or similar experience we'd love you to come and stay with us.

Most of the time, I share this space with volunteers, some chickens, a c...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu, which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating. We grow our own veggies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish. The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks . One of the things we do is collect sea food to make yummy meals. i have a self contained chalet, with a log fire. We do all sorts of jobs like gardening, building projects and what ever comes along. If you have a special skill that could help me in my home or property, let me know.... and of course socializing, conversation and music with a nice glass of wine, all in a relaxed way of life. If you are a happy, talkative type person feel free to get in touch:-) cheers tony

June . . .:) Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors this spring or early summer :) Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, Douglas fir, maple and alder trees.
