All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We are Sunny from China and Jeff from New York and we live in a small town in Oklahoma called Olustee of about 500 people. Nearby is a city called Altus of 19,000 people with stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment. You are invited to our place, either just to visit or to stay and help out. This is a small project in a heritage farm house in beautiful Lower Saxony. We are at the moment three people, two cats and some chickens. We speak German, English, French and Spanish. Our house is in the middle of the village, and we enjoy the contact to the people around us. We've got an idyllic yard and sometimes do parties or small cultural events - this year, we are taking a break though to concentrate on some bigger building projects. Small sheep ranch in northern Montana offers hands-on-learning experiences. We run about 40 head of ewes for wool and lamb crops. There is need for sheep herding help in the summer, lambing help during around April in particular. Shipping is in August. But internships accepted all year. Other ranch activities include plantings for wildlife, fencing, farming, gardening and landscaping, building and repairs. Besides sheep, ranch animals include chickens, horses, and goats.
