Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

hiii, my name is Winnie. I'm a happy women with both feet on the ground. I try to get the best out of life. I'm positive and always see opportunities. I love traveling and meet people and experience new cultures. Born i Denmark and I have been traveling through many years and found my wonderful house in 1997 in Gränna. I have decided to change my way of living and want to start my own small business in my house, offering B&B, Glamping, Cultural & Nature tourism, and of course, teach all I know about making jam, lemonade, cookies, and good food that I learned growing up. I want to get bees and make a kitchen garden. As you can read I have many ideas. I like to work in the garden or on the house - there is always something to do. I also work as a consultant as a business developer in the hospitality industry. My house is a traditional Swedish wooden house. Everything I have renovated, I have done in an old style. My house is beautifully situated above the village of Gränna, with an...

Purpose – to steward land and livestock responsibly while sharing practical skills, meaningful work, and the rhythm of authentic Texas ranch life. ⸻ 🌿 About Me Howdy — I’m Adele, and I run a 25-acre working ranch in Central Texas, just across the road from the Colorado River. The land is gently rolling and hilly with dry creeks, pasture, and a pond. After retiring from public service (public safety and U.S. Marine Corps) I chose a life centered around land stewardship, livestock, and building with my hands. Last year I spent two months volunteering on farms in Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and France. I wanted to understand the volunteer experience firsthand — what feels fair, what feels supportive, and what makes the exchange meaningful. I worked hard, observed carefully, and now aim to offer that same level of clarity and respect here. I manage: • 36 Nigerian Dwarf goats • 35 chickens (hens and roosters) • 9 ducks • 2 cows with calves • 4 working ranch dogs • 2 barn cats A...

Kia ora! Seeking help all through the year. The home is a large Oamaru stone villa where my 20yr old son and our tabby cat live with me. Our work does take us away from home from time to time and we need help to maintain the existing gardens, and to redevelop some areas. I am redeveloping an area to become a vegetable garden and would love help with this. We have around 2 acres of garden - mainly flowers, hedges and mature trees with a pond which plays host to gold fish and attracts numerous dragonflies. The gardens are very tranquil. We host small events occasionally and sometimes run garden tours. Ideally, you'll have a bit of garden knowledge, but most importantly you'll be fit, have initiative and a willingness to muck in and help outdoors. The majority of work will be weeding, pruning, trimming. I expect 4 hours of productive work each day in exchange for accommodation, breakfast provisions for you to help yourself to, lunch and dinner. The accommodation is a bedroom in a s...

Im trying to realize my dream, devoted to permaculture and natural architecture on the 25 decare land we purchased in 2021, where there are pine forests and natural water resources, and where natural life is happily alive. My biggest dream is for my daughter and other children to grow up together in a healthy soil, poison-free tables, on a farm full of happy animals, in a community where our friends and guests contribute. We continue to take slow but beautiful steps on the path we set out with this dream, with the efforts of our friends and volunteers who contribute to us. I will be glad to see you among us I have camping tent, large tent, rv caravan, geodesic dome hause for our volunteers and guests to stay. You can also stay here with your own tents and caravans. We have a common area for shower and toilet. We can cook and eat our meals together during the day, and we will also respect your preferences. In your free time, you can walk in the forest and mountains, chill in the r...

Hello, We are looking for some precious help with the land and various jobs around the house. From 17th March, we’re seeking people to assist with gardening, tidying, cleaning, and helping Glen with DIY projects. Last year, when we moved onto this new piece of land, we had a fantastic experience with HelpX. The help made such a difference, and we truly enjoyed the interactions and friendships that grew from it. We see HelpX as a mutually beneficial exchange and are excited to welcome people to stay with us again. Accommodation: You’ll have your own room with a queen bed and access to a shared bathroom in a small sleepout. Cooking is done in the sleepout kitchen. Some meals will be shared together—giving us a chance to chat, reflect on the world, and enjoy good conversation. We’re interested in sustainability, community living, gardening, and how to make the world a better place, one small action at a time. The views are beautiful, and we’re very close to the surf beaches. Glen is...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local gra...

We have several young Dartmoor ponies that we will be training to ride this spring. Please apply with detailed experience. See below for our general listing to give an idea of other experiences on farm you might enjoy when not working with ponies Generally we look for those who are physically fit, adaptable, willing to learn new things, and enthusiastic to spend a lot of time outdoors! This is an opportunity to experience life on a sheep and cattle farm. Volunteers depending on season can help with different farm activities such as, fencing, building, working with sheep and cattle , pruning/planting trees on the farm, gardening, help with daily chores around the home. We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dogs and work starts at 8am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice room with a lovely warm bed, gr...

We need two people travelling together who want to visit us for about a week in mid to late January or soon after.. We are a busy and active couple in our 70s needing some help on our medium-sized suburban land on the north-east fringe of Melbourne. Spring rain has caused way too much grass to spring up where it shouldn't be. So, our need is for people who can help us with lots of weeding and, to break it up a bit, some rabbit-proofing an other small jobs around the house. We need people who are comfortable working without supervision, after some initial instructions. The arrangement is to work for about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), evening meals most nights, or food of your choice to cook if we are not home. You will have your own comfortable room and separate bathroom, a lounge room with TV, and unlimited WiFi. We have a tennis court, a billiard/snooker/pool table, table football, ...

Kia Ora and hi Help-x helpers, We're Chris and Meri. We live on a little farm with some beautiful rural views, native birds & bush and a beautiful little stream that runs through the property where we're gradually restoring the natural environment and native habitats. We're interested in all of nature, particularly keen on Australasian birds (being from Australian, NZ and South Pacific Islands) and we're involved from time to time with bird conservation and ornithological projects. We run a little flock of South Suffolk Sheep, we have free Range Brown Shaver Chickens, some Khaki Campbell Ducks (perfect eggs for baking!), have a pair of very rare Cape Barren Geese and we also have a little fruit tree Orchard too. We enjoy good conversation, cooking and sharing good food (and favourite recipes) with others and your stay wouldn't be complete without experiencing a few of Meri's traditional yummy Indonesian styled dishes. We share making meals together and welcome helpers to help make...

Just a peaceful place that needs some t.l.c. every once and a while, like gardening, creating and cleaning, cooking depending on the weather. Were a couple and we love to hear about what's happening in the world, from different perspectives.. Were not traveling at present, so this is the next best thing.... having someone in a tiny home, helping, sharing and learning. . .. I love dancing, music, and arts which is included in our home environment. Riding motor bikes, or a little game of table tennis, creating trails, riding on the bicycle trails, hiking, swimming, & watching sun sets. Never boring around here for me, I am in the process of becoming more self sufficient, planted many trees. Created gardens, wanting someone who loves being in nature, needs/wants growing time on there own. I want a caretaker of the land. Also sharing together, I'm going to school this coming year for Feldenkrais (ATM) so I want some one who wants to explore in the back yard of dirt. The more alive our...

My house is under major renovation. I am not accepting people until this June 2026. I will put up new dates when I have them. I will be looking for people who can assist with sanding, light building works. If you can use a drill, hammer, sander, etc that would be great. But not necessary. I live in Woolloongabba in Brisbane. I have a lovely Queenslander house incredibly close to everything. I work as a computer trainer in a law firm. I enjoy the arts, which is why I live close to the Major art galleries at South Bank. I also enjoy cycling and a good walk. I have done lots of cycle touring through the UK and some through Europe. I have also enjoyed remote bushwalking in Australia with people who can navigate, as I can't! I am also looking at getting back into my dancing again. Work required, I am slowly working on renovating my house and garden. I spend the time with you on the day you arrive or the day after you arrive showing you what to do. Also on the first weekend I will show...

My property is 10 hectares on the West Coast of the South Island, which starts at the coast with sand beach and sunsets and heads inland 1km through native wetlands and forest. Approximately 20km from Westport, 1km from Tauranga Bay! Public transport is limited? I'm a Certified Plumber and Drainlayer by trade but recently retired to work on property (next stage of life!) Female only to apply please.
