We have 120 species of bamboo. fruit trees ducks chickens and two dogs and lots of friendly wildlife and many useful plants. we are a wholesale bamboo nursery and also make one off bamboo creations. We are a 10 min drive from Airlie beach in the Whitsundays with 72 islands to sail to. there are many ways a helper can help and learn about permaculture and bamboo. I have a minimum stay of 2 weeks and a maximum stay of 3 months. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. Hello HelpXers, We have a 5 acre farm, 300 metres from Ruby Bay beach. Ruby Bay is conveniently between Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park. We have a beautiful established garden, vegetable plot and orchard. We also raise chickens, Khaki Campell ducks and a few sheep. We also have two beautiful riding horses and three dogs - 3 Hungarian Vizslas and a Border Terrier. Our 4 bedroom farmhouse is comfortable and cosy and has beautiful views out to the ocean. We both work full-time, so are looking for help with gardening, animal husbandry, firewood, cleaning and various other odd jobs as the seasons dictate.
