We have an organic farm at Oldcastle where we host Wwoofers too. There we have lots of different roles from house keeping to vegetable gardening, foraging, admin, cooking, animal husbandry, sewing carpentry building work etc. Tasks vary and very much depend on ability and skill sets At our location in Dunshauglin we are only looking for help with housework cleaning and childcare and sometimes gardening. We ask for 5 hours 5 days a week. Accommodation in Dunshauglin is in a comfortable apartment beside our home while in Oldcastle it’s in mobile homes. I have started to use Helpx to supplement Wwoofing as we try to have a greater mix of volunteers. Here I’m looking for candidates who have (ideally)been out in the world a while, who are taking a break or are looking for a change. We have had great success with people on career breaks in the past - as an example. Accommodation in Oldcastle is in 2 mobile homes that have a wood fired heating system - this may not suit everyone so a gen...

Hello and welcome to our profile :). If you are reading this and have not yet read our reviews - please do so. We were very disappointed to receive the latest review which as you can see, is in total contrast to all others received over the past ten or more years. We do hope that you can look beyond this and speak with us about any concerns you may have in advance of committing to a stay here. We can absolutely guarantee that we are not the kind of people that we have been made out to be, and because of this we have attempted to address all points made although we wish we had not been 'forced' to do so by one person who did not find the experience to her satisfaction. Thank you if you are still reading. Currently seeking single person from 16th August onwards. If you are not available until later, and would like to reserve a place with us please drop us a message and we will chat and try and save your preferred dates. Ideally, a minimum commitment of at least one month is neces...

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes Northwest of Ukiah where the weather is more pleasant) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary. Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden and orchards consist of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers. Aside from garden and orchard tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off-grid infrastructure and solar system. Please read all of our information before contacting us. We require a one month minimum stay, and currently we have space beginning July 1st. Our homestead is remote and therefore not for everyone. We prefer those who want to unplug and enjoy the serenity of a mountain forest. If you are open minded, love t...

We are currently taking applications for volunteers who would available to start mid-November and commit to at least 8 weeks . We are looking for volunteers to teach English only. Couples are welcome as well. NOTE: We do not charge volunteers any fees for staying with us. The generous gift of your time and dedication is all the donation we will ask of you. ENGLISH VERSION Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (35years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (27years old) who joined me two years ago and many people who join us throughout the year. Actually we are approximatly 7 to 10 people living here . it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, isolation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials ...

It is large at 7 m there is no heating in it, one of the jobs we will try to do is to get a bus ready that we have on site for a more cozy stay. If the weather is very bad, you can stay on our sofa bed in our lounge at our house which is about 15 minutes drive away from the land/farm at Wookey Hole. We are also open to enquiries about bookings at any other time of the year. Due to the amount of wildlife we have on our land, including rare birds, deer, snakes, rabbits, hare how many others, unfortunately we cannot acc...

Dear friends and volunteers, as our a relaxing time with swimming and boat rides during the hot summer months is going to end, we are looking for helpers for the automne season. We usually start cleaning the field in September, we have to get rid of all stingy plants and twigs on the ground in order to put the nets later on without any damage. We are planning to start collecting the olives by middle of October, depending on the weather conditions, and continue in several turns till November. Once the harvest season is over, we have to cut the branches and put the smaller ones into the woodchipper, spread organic fertiliser, and repair some terraces. You don´t have to have any special knowledge or skills, we are happy about anyone with energy and supporting us while spreading good vibes. So don't hesitate to contact us when you are around, or you want to stay with us, helping for a minimum of 10 days, preferable around 2 weeks. * * * Kalimera, we are an Austrian couple living in...

We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.

Hi everyone ! We started our farm in Martinique 15 years ago. Lately things changed, as Tommaso left the farm to open his restaurant, Celine/Nour is opening the farm to hold diy and wellness retreats. After years working like there was no tomorow for a better tomorow we changed our perspective, learning how to take better care of ourselves while proceding with taking care of the land. The trees have grown now, providing shade and fresh air. The isolated situation of the farm (20min by car to the nearest village), makes it a proper paradise, also thanks to the regenerative agriculture techniques starting to bear fruits. Actually it already was a paradise, even when full with thorns and burning sun as it is surrounded by a beautiful forest, a small lake and beyond, the sea. Diversity and catastrophe resilience has been our main design goals, and we learnt a lot from our mistakes, improving each time a little the efficiency of our implementation techniques. We share the space with...

NOTICE: DUE TO HEATWAVE HAVE LEFT FRANCE FOR COOLER PASTURES, WILL BE BACK IN SEPTEMBER. Hi, I’m Toby, 48, from the UK. I am slowly bringing back to life a beautiful old French farm property in the Dordogne. It was previously renovated into a 16-bedroom hotel back in 1990 and sits in peaceful rural countryside, surrounded by sunshine, wildlife, vineyards and quiet country views. The house is in the French wine region between Bergerac and Saint-Émilion, around 60 km from Bordeaux and just a few kilometres from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande train station. At the moment I am working on site mostly on my own while my family is back in the UK. Replacing windows, protecting the house from the weather and keeping the garden under control has become a lot of work, so I would really appreciate some friendly help. I used HelpX once before and had a good experience, so I thought I would try again this year. The kind of help I need: The work is not usually very technical or heavy. It would mostly b...

* Summer 2026. Bed and Breakfast - Bio/Organic Vineyard. Dave & Brandy (my dog). Vineyard & Small Bed & Breakfast with two (2) rooms for guests. * Help always needed also at the Swiss Tattoo Museum. Dave loves to cook and the BnB thrives on his cooking skills, website reviews and best of all word of mouth! Also known as "Dave Cuvee" to guests and social friends, creating quality, delicious meals with love and passion is my destination. Most helpers leave here with extra kg, I am not talking about extra carry luggage ;-) Brandy is a female Hungarian Vizsla born October 2013. She is in training to search for truffles in the local forests. Brandy is a middle size dog weighing ca. 19kg and is very active. She is very intelligent, playful and uber friendly to everyone she has contact with. Brandy is being trained and fed by Dave, but she requires walks and exercise when Dave is at work. You should be a very dog friendly person. Dave speaks fluent English and Swiss German (20+ years...

Originally from France and Germany, we are living in Canada since 1990 where we raised our 4 children who are now adults living their lives :) We moved to this marvelous region in September 2025 and just bought an old heritage house which was abandoned since over 20 years! We don't live in the house yet (living in a tiny house on a farm 1km from there), but plan to move in for the winter. Only the bathroom is almost ready to use. So, for right now, we are looking for helpers willing to camp (pitch a tent in our yard or sleeping in your van). The spot is a little bit outside of the scenic village of St-Germain, with view on the St-Lawrence River and 3km from the beach. We definitively need help with the restoration work: helping Michel on the roof with traditional roofing techniques, helping Hildegund inside with painting, sanding and oiling the floors,... or even outside preparing the garden and orchard. Michel is cabinet maker and artist. Hildegund is psychologist and playtherapist...

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. You will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. A bit isolated, not for the precious, no trophy hunters!! Please don't apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only. We do not get involved with internships or visa applications. Vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar (badly) and sing (worse) but it's all about smile not style :-) , please don't come if you have a heavy cold or flu, I'm involved with the elderly. Cheers Al

I am a 47yr old Englishman living with my Greek partner. We have a large land in a small village - Velanidia - in the Peloponnese near the sea. The nearest town - Neapoly - is 30 minutes drive. We would like our visitors to enjoy the beauty of this place and in return give us five to six hours a day to help us with the upkeep of the property. Most of the tasks will be working on the land. You will have your own room, with superb views, and eat with us twice a day. On most days there is free Wi-Fi, provided by the local municipality and can be used from the balcony of our home. We like our visitors to stay for at least two weeks minimum but prefer longer stays. I would like to point out that where we are has a very long summer. Photo1 our home, photo2 local beach, photo3 living room. photo4 sunrise from our land, photo5 the village and photo6 the family. Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

We're Manon, Alessandro and Brioche (I'm a dog) a little young family passionate about nature, travelling, independence, regenerative practices, agriculture, farming, gardening, trekking and life. After almost 10 years of working and travelling overseas we felt the the needs to set roots and to transform our dream in to a reality. We bought an old farm stable in ruins (dry stone building) inside a very small village and a few hectares of old chestnuts forest next to it. On one side we want to restore the old building using eco techniques, as much as we can, to transform it in to our house and on the other side we are developing a syntropic garden, a little orchard based on agroforestry systems principles that will also be applied to some parts of the chestnuts forest. We're located in South Ardèche, near the town of Joyeuse. The place is famous for its rivers, canyons and forests with plenty of hiking and biking trails, bathing spots, canyoning, rafting, climbing spots, old small vil...

Hi. We are a family of 4 and a new farm. Started in 2025 and although we do not live on site, we spend most of our time there. Our land is an ancient lead mine, was also inhabited by the Romans and we have a Bronze age burial tomb. * We are not able to reply to all messages, sorry We do not live at the farm ourselves, there are no buildings on site We are an alcohol and smoking free site and home We are currently booking people for September to stay in our Bell tent.

Cheers Al
