The main work experience we offer is: taking care of the vegetable garden, cleaning small terraces to open new pastures for our flock, cutting small bushes and cutting old grass. We are a certified organic farm operating since 2004 and producing mostly a wide diversity of seed crops as well as Spring and Fall vegetable starts, soft fruit plants, and many native plants. We now have 260 +different seed varieties, including kale, tomatoes and many new potato varieties that we have bred and selected here - very exciting. We have even created 2 new apple varieties and a berry! Welcome to our tranquil retreat on the beautiful southern tip of Quadra Island. Nestled in a second-growth forest with private beach access, our 15 acre property offers a unique opportunity to escape and unwind. As a Helper, you'll have access to bikes, kayaks, and paddleboards to explore the stunning surroundings. While we mainly enjoy an omnivorous diet, we are happy to accommodate vegan and vegetarian preferences. We are a couple in a neighborhood in the north-east area of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person or two who could help with some yard work, maybe deep cleaning the kitchen, general house projects, painting walls, etc. Short term stays are best for us (around a week, plus or minus). We ask for 3 hours of help per day (except for arrival and departure days). It's OK to work longer days and then take days off - we are flexible. You have your own bedroom & your own bathroom to use on the lower level of our home. We have two "kids", 23 and 25, all grown and moved away. The photo posted is really old! We are One hour north of Anchorage Private and shared rooms. Bathroom, kitchenette, living space, washer dryer. Spare car to share on weekends. Farming 5 days a week around 5 hrs a day. Weekends free to explore. We grow strawberries zucchini cabbage carrots peppers tomatoes corn cucumbers kale artichokes broccoli cauliflower etc. 5 different Farmers markets for all who want to experience them. We have helpers come from wwoof and worldpackers as well.

I am looking for help from the Beginning of October The bedroom in the house is now fully booked until end of September. August is completely full In July and September there is also a good tent ( integrated floor zippable door or fly door)with a comfortable mattress etc available, using the house for meals and shade and general socialising and life, also a huge conservatory. PLEASE no supporters of mass starvation and military actions against civilians... No climate change deniers ... We definitely would not get on!!! We are a small-scale, organic vegetable farm in Palmer, Alaska. We grow an array of beautiful produce which includes carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, zucchini, brussel sprouts, romanesco, broccoli, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, beets, and many more. All of the vegetables we sell at local farmers markets are grown by us and are free of pesticides, GMOs, and chemicals. We not only believe that people should feel connected to their food, but we also feel that it should be delicious, healthy, and accessible. Work on the farm varies by season. In the Spring we spend our time prepping the field, sewing seeds, growing transplants, cultivating those seeds in the field, weeding, and watering. As we move into summer and fall helpers will have the opportunity to harvest and sell the fruits and vegetables that have been growing the past few months at the local farmers’ markets.
