Update We are fully booked for the rest of this year. Welcome back in February. As always now days, everything depend on the weather. Susanne and I, Anders, bought this old school 10 years ago. The overall goal is to finish the renovation of our houses and run a small B&B in the "new school house." We live here on the edge of the Forest, in the nearly 200 year Old Schoolhouse, with our two small Jack Russells Wilda and Freja. We are both retired, but still feel we are just over 25, maybe a little bit more. Our lifestyle is this country life, to follow nature and the seasons. Most of the heavy work is done by now. Almost time to start all over again. Since this is our life, we do as we please, when we please and of course according to the weather. (People make plans and the old Gods just laugh). We try to do a little something every day, preferably visible. We have a grand plan for every season but not down to daily level. To stay with us is not "work", even if it's hard to dig th...

Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

This is a language cafe is designed for those who are willing to meet Korean locals and the ones from overseas. We provide them with the time and the place to meet and get to know each other while have conversations in English. I know from my experience that travelling or staying in other countries is not just doing sightseeing but experiencing the real life there. Here we try to bond them together as friends. If you are looking for something that can give you a chance to meet locals and to be mingled with them, this would be the best option for you. About the program : This is about the language practice and sharing their cultures, experiences and the thoughts. And basically it is a 2 way conversation so you don't have to ta...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We are a family of four, Pere 46 years, Emma 39 years, Carla 7 years and Jordi 4 year old. We live in a house in the mountains at an altitude of 1000 meters. Our goal is to be self-sufficient at least in food. So we have 15 dairy sheep and we produce yogurt and cheese for the family, a vegetable garden with a greenhouse and chickens. We like to enjoy life and not be slaves to work so that the working days are of few hours. The main work experience we offer is: taking care of the vegetable garden, cleaning small terraces to open new pastures for our flock, cutting small bushes and cutting old grass. The hospitality of the volunteers is in the house with us, individual room. We all have lunch and dinner together as we believe it is a time of sharing and pleasure. Because we just speak Catalan, Spanish and Italian, we would prefer guests speaking those languages. We are waiting for you!

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

For an experience in a farm with horses and dogs, if you love nature and are not afraid of hard work! Here you’ll find silence and peace, and also many splendid places to visit. [UPDATE: We don’t have availability for a position in horse care only. But we have availability for a strong person, hard worker, to help outside with the bush clearing, using the brushcutter, driving the tractor to grind the fields, apart from helping a bit with the animals and the handling of horses. Note that we are very busy during the week, and we can't go and check our emails every day. You might have to wait a bit for an answer. Sorry for this.] We live in a sparsely populated area called Berry located in the center of France between Orléans (60km) and Bourges (50km). The closest city is Gien, 27km away. Just west is the county called Sologne, where nature is all around, though we are at only 2 hours from Paris. East is the Sancerre valley. We are looking for handy volunteers or good riders. Check...

Our farm is up for sale, so work is lighter, mostly weeding, cleaning, and property tidy-ups. Usually, it’s just you, us, and the animals, so it’s a relaxed, family-style experience. We typically start at 8am or by arrangement and ask for about 4 hrs of help per day You’ll stay in your own private air-conditioned container accommodation next to our home, share meals, enjoy the spa pool, BBQ area, and explore with our e-bikes. A vehicle is recommended as there’s no public transport, Richmond (shops, cafes) is 5 mins away, Nelson 20 mins. We love positive, proactive people, good cooks, and anyone who enjoys sharing food, music, and stories. Check out our reviews below.

Hello travelers, my name is Abidine Al-Boudani. I live with my family in a small town called Tagounite in the southeast of Morocco. Our family only settled during the middle of the last century, originally we descend from nomads, but have made a home in the Daraa Valley now. In walking distance to our house we have an organic farm, a 50 year old heritage from when my grandfathers settled down here. The farm is a beautiful place for anyone - be it people coming by themselves, friends, couples, families, pets - to spend an enjoyable time, connecting with the nature of the desert. ~ACCOMODATION~ Volunteers with tents can pitch them in the garden. Some families who come with a motorhome, truck and vehicles have the option to park right next to it. Currently an insulated tent is being constructed next to the garden house, which is also in progress. This accommodation will offer a more quiet environment than the family house, but comes with no bathroom yet at this point. If people ...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. 🌿 Come help on our farm! We need friendly volunteers to join us with cooking, cleaning, gardening, and everyday tasks — no experience needed, just a good attitude and willingness to muck in.We are looking for helpers between the ages of 16 to 32. We are a small community of friends working towards a better life in a beautiful part of rural Devon, in the Tamar River Valley Estuary where you will make friends for life. In exchange for your friendship while you are staying here we will endeavour to teach you new skills that will carry you through life. A small farm in a beautiful location! Our farm and home probably date back to pre 1660's, with many additions since. It has been left to go wild for the last 40 years. The river has otters, seals, beavers, salmon, sea trout, and sea bass. With buzzards and owls overhead. There are deer in the surrounding woodland. Experience life in the Bavarian Alps and help us with family life and gardening. We are an active family of five living in a mountain village in the beautiful Bavarian Alps. Our children were born in 2018, 2022 and 2025 – there’s always energy, creativity and laughter in our home! We love the outdoors: hiking, exploring nature, swimming in alpine lakes and gardening. In summer, we grow our own organic vegetables. We also live with seven ducks and two lovely cats who are part of the family. We both work from home and we really value support from friendly and responsible travellers. There are many ways you can help – whether it’s playing with the kids, helping with household tasks, doing garden work, or contributing your personal skills. We speak English, French and German. We have internet, but no TV. We do not smoke and kindly ask that our guests don’t smoke either – indoors or outdoors. Our eldest daughter plays the violin and we have a piano – so if you’re musical or even enjoy ...

WELCOME to the Human Rewilding Project. We are young married couple coming from very different cultures and upbringings. We are living our dream of experiencing what it means to be alive as a proper human being. And that on our own land in one of the most beautiful and wild corners of Scotland. We aspire to become self sufficient in all we need for a happy and healthy life. Our house and the main parts of the croft lie on a hill with a breathtaking view onto Oldshoremore Beach. The view from our living room or from the garden invite for frequent moments of still admiration and gratitude. Alexa grew up on a Finca in the jungle of Costa Rica within her tribe, the Boruca. She was born into a lineage of healers and understands deeply the ways of plants and other beings. She learned from her elders about natural health, herbal remedies and energy work. One of her many missions is to pass on her shamanic knowledge and thus keeping alive her indigenous heritage. But the most important one...

Hello Potential Volunteers My name is Paul and it was my dream to change my lifestyle from being an office worker to becoming an alpaca farmer.... here we are 14 years later with 100 alpacas, each individually cherishes with names and unique personalities, plus an assortment of other animals all needing our love :) I have three children: Liam (21), Dylan (9) and Oscar (6), and our 100-acre farm is home to approx.100 alpacas, plus llamas, peacocks, hens, mini pigs, a cat named Sexy, and our farm dog Malta. This year we are expecting 20 'cria' (baby alpacas) and each one will need our help so they can thrive! We need to ensure they get colostrum (filled with antibodies and vital for good health) – have they fed from their mums within the first 24hrs? Are they then drinking enough milk from their mums every day? Are they gaining weight? The well-being of my animals is the most important thing on the farm. Do they have good food and enough water, and the best possible natural environme...

I have no room until next February 2026. I live in Woolloongabba in Brisbane. I have a lovely Queenslander house, which I have been sharing with backpackers for the last one and a half years. I work as a computer trainer in a law firm. I enjoy the arts, which is why I live close to the Major art galleries at South Bank. I also enjoy cycling and a good walk. I have done lots of cycle touring through the UK and some through Europe. I have also enjoyed remote bushwalking in Australia with people who can navigate, as I can't! I am also looking at getting back into my dancing again. So what about the work I need assistance with. I am slowly working on bringing my house and garden back to its original state. It is a bit of work, I am trying to reuse and learn as much through my house renovation process as I can. Often I work with those helping as long as it is a weekend. You are welcome to complete the work during the week over a few days if that is best for you. I enjoy chatting and...

It’s quiet and peaceful here, you can sit on the veranda and watch the birdlife, or walk along the country roads and spot the kangaroos. We’d love some help in the garden including weeding, pruning and grounds maintenance and depending on your skill base some painting, and general maintenance. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

This project has been an idea I’ve had since I was a child. I grew up in a mixed environment: on one hand, at my grandmother’s house, surrounded by agricultural and artisanal activities, deeply connected to the traditions and customs of the Canary Islands; and on the other hand, in a home with my parents, who, like many Canarians, decided to dedicate themselves to the restaurant and tourism sectors. I was always fascinated by the lifestyle my grandparents lived, where my grandfather would bring goat’s milk and my grandmother would make cheese, jams, and traditional Canary Island dishes with a Cuban influence, as my great-grandmother emigrated to Cuba, where my grandmother was born. She returned to the islands at the age of 15. While renovating my great-grandmother’s house, I found letters she wrote during her time in Cuba, sent to her mother (my great-great-grandmother), in which she described the hardships Canarians faced, being treated as "third-class Spaniards." However, they held ...

We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

The aim for our farm is to give the land back to nature and at the same time create an organic food source that we can freely ...

We are looking for self-sufficient, collaborative and friendly individuals to join us on our property in Taradale or “Taradise” as the locals call it, situated in the “Victorian Goldfields” region around 1.5 hrs north of Melbourne by car or train. Two friends, or a couple would be ideal. We are a friendly couple who enjoy meeting people from around the globe and we’d love to enhance your experience here in Aus. Our home is an original 1860’s miners cottage which has been extended, situated on 1.7 acres of beautiful established trees, roses, tranquil gardens and a lovely swimming pool. It’s quiet and peaceful here, you can sit on the veranda and watch the birdlife, or walk along the country roads and spot the kangaroos. We’d love some help in the garden including weeding, pruning and grounds maintenance and depending on your skill base some painting, and general maintenance. On wet weather days house cleaning and cooking. 4 hours help each day, 5 days a week would be ideal in e...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you...

I live in an old farm and farmhouse in Normandy. I have converted a cottage into a holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms (all en suite) and one barn into another. With the guest-accommodation, farm and further buildings to be converted, I could always do with an extra pair of hands. Skills can range from building, painting, cleaning, farming and general maintenance. Someone with a sense of humour would be great. I enjoy music so you may find all sorts playing, from classical to Genesis, Roxy Music to London Grammar! Current projects (weather dependent) include: 1. tidying toolshed 2. move garden shed 3. create car port I offer accommodation and meals included in return for help normally 5 days a week. After a week I'm happy to give a day tour of the battlefields ... Phone number (what's app) available on request. Easy to find and get to .. .By train leave Paris at the Gare de St Lazare for Cherbourg. G...
