In 1912, Ingunn's grand father gave part of the land for the Tromsø county to build "Solhov", prestigious boarding school and largest wooden building north of Trondheim. Hi We will be looking for helpers to harvest our walnuts from mid March to mid April this year. The work is not difficult and it is a nice environment to work in. Tasks include using a small harvesting machine or hand held nut rollers to pick up the walnuts, then putting them through a washing machine and a sorting machine before they go into drying bins. We live 25 minutes north west of Christchurch on an established property with a big garden, and tennis court. This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and my farm is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. My place is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away. Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list. Our 5 acre Lifestyle block is situated in SouthWest Hamilton, within easy reach of Hamilton Gardens, the centre of town and Hamilton Airport ( all about 10 minutes away). Raglan and Sanctuary Mountain take about 45 minutes and Hobbiton and Waitomo caves are under one hour. You can also drive to Rotorua and Tauranga in under an hour and a half. Your accommodation is a self- contained unit with kitchenette, bathroom, queen bed, wifi and TV. We can also put a mattress on the floor. Your own car is a good idea however there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway to get into town. We also don’t mind you using our swimming pool during the summer. Big plot of land rounded the house - so garden skills are welcome too. The place is really nice to stay for the nature lovers and surf fans. There are dozen absolutely stunning beaches around here almost empty when the tourist season is over. Really beautiful mountains full of chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn. Fishing and horse riding are available too (I have a beautiful stallion). And of course the costal views are amazing (authentic paradise for the photo enthusiasts)! Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens only 40 minutes from Hobart, and operate for only 3 days a week. A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. Your Help can be in the restaurant, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out!
