The sheep spend the summer months in the pyrenees mountains with shephards and lamb in the autoumn when they come back down.. it is a very rewarding job. Hello, and thank you for looking at our page/profile! We are looking for a helper (1 person) during July and also in September and October for a 2 to 3 week period but that can be further negotiated. We both will have been fully vaccinated for Covid. We would like help inside and outside and with plenty of gardening and watering of the garden. Outdoor work includes keeping the gardens tidy, cutting and trimming of trees and mowing the lawn. Also the helper must be able to lift and haul fireplace wood and (ideally) know the use of a chain saw but not necessary. All of this work we do together. Further work includes simple window washing, exterior window and door painting. Saturday house cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, ironing sheets for the rentals, etc. We are chefs from New York City so we offer great food and comfortable accommodation though we do not do cooking classes to our helpx friends. We have a large house with 33,000 sq m of land located in Domancy, Haute Savoie, French Alps, between Chamonix and Megeve. We have spare accomodation in a separate apartment for a person or mature couple who would like to spend a few weeks in this region in return for labour in the garden and forest. This would involve gardening tasks, maintenance, or general assistance. Good opportunity to learn English or French, and spend time in the mountains. It's a family home, not a working farm. Building / maintenance skills would be a plus but strong muscles and a good sense of humour would be even nicer !. Own transport preferred but not essential. This is a country house situated in a beautiful part of provence. Here there are 8 acres of woodland, secluded, and very peaceful . The house is situated on a hill and has stunning views. There are deep beds for growing vegetables. . Helpers usually live in the house as family with their own room ( 2 bedrooms share the bathroom, all on the first floor.) It is better to have your own transport if you want to explore, but short trips to local villages are usually possible. Help is needed for general maintenance and improvements, painting etc , as well as gardening. The property is non smoking, and meals are vegetarian /vegan,

French Chateau under renovation in quiet rural location, close to local village. We are looking for help with building renovation work, decoration and services in the main building, landscaping of the gardens and woodland maintenance. The top floor of the chateau is finished and accomodation is in your own room on the top floor of the building (see photos for a picture of one of the helper rooms), which has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a cinema all finished and fully furnished. The ground and first floors are both partially completed. The ground floor kitchen, utility room, billiatds and dining room have been completed.
