Hello everyone! My name is Bird, I was working in Chiang-Mai as a photographer for 2 years then decided to become a farmer and create a Thai traditional agriculture permaculture farm in 2018. I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth. Our farm is located in Pua city, 70km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant. Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses. “Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. Y...

Hello! We are David and Celia. We were running one "donativo" albergue in Saint James way for 9 years in the north of Spain. We moved now to another "camino" in Galicia . We want to create a new donativo albergue, and we are doing it with our hands. We would appreciate any help with this new project and helpers with "construction" knowledge. We have a plant garden and 7 chickens. In our previous albergue, we used to host voluntaries many times. We are used to it and we love the concept of volunteering. We would love to host people and do some works together, and enjoy sharing experiences, different foods, making some trips... And show this beautiful region in the south of Galicia to the people who come with us. We offer a private bedroom. Breakfast and meals. And nice company from us and from our cat 💟

I am a retired man from Germany 71 years old, living with my 2 dogs on lovely Orange Garden, West Coast of Peloponese. Most of the work will involve gardening, like planting, pruning, harvesting oranges and olives. Other work includes tidying up the place, general household chores, painting building and maintenance of the 8 bungalows I rent to tourists. I ask for 4-5 hours a day, 1 or 2 days free for your own. Low season helpers can use a bungalow for accommodation. You might cater for yourself or join me for meals. WiFi internet is available. Ideally volunteers would be over 25 years, have some knowledge of general maintenance and gardening. The bus stop is 500m from home, the 70km beach of Kyparissia Kolpos is about 2,5km. See my homepage. I am fluent in German, English and Greek. I am looking forward to your visit.

What volunteers Will Do: - Permaculture Design: Help build no-dig beds, cultivate veg and plant trees. - Infrastructure Projects: Build composting systems, rainwater harvesting setups, or wildlife habitats. - Daily Farm Life: General maintenance, firewood prep, and helping around the smallholding. What We Offer: - Learning Opportunities: Gain hands-on experience in regenerative land management and permaculture scaling. - Accommodation: Stay in our awesome glamping tent in the summer, or in one of our cottages the rest of the year. I am an early retired gentleman living in Dublin, Ireland. Due to cold and dark winter I am heading to Malta in early December to experience some winter sun. I have booked an apartment in Malta and require an engaging and social companion to accompany me on the trip. I intend to stay for many weeks. I have had many volunteers in my home in Dublin for a few years and I am happy to share contact details to verify my character.

welcome in our nature sanctuary on corfu island... :) . we are looking for true nature lovers… . most of us still depend on technologies which are harmful to nature… therefor we have arranged a compromise: we rent a studio for you on the beach, where you can use your cell phone and whatever other nature harming devices you still depend on… and from there you come and visit our nature sanctuary every day for three hours, five days a week… . by this way you can enjoy total privacy, free wifi, hot water shower, a cooking device and a bed with a mattress etc… and only while you visit the natudre sanctuary you leave all these harmful devices for three hours behind you… :) . we strongly recommend to try to live at least for a few weeks without all these nature harming devices, to experience the bliss of living in harmony with nature… and if you see after a certain time, that you would like to try to live in the nature sanctuary, you are more than welcome… . . We live in a nature ...

The permaculture project and the Farm develop in the social, historical and urban fabric of the town of Modica (RG), mainly between the Fontana, Dente and Pennino districts. We actively collaborate with other projects in the province, from which we learn a lot. We live a sober, frugal, healthy life. We follow, in a somewhat radical way, the ethics of Permaculture and many of its principles. After a period of training in horticulture and spiritual reconnection in the Loire in a Sōtō Zen temple, a PDC at Il Filo di Paglia (Comiso) and two years of agricultural experiences of the most varied in south-eastern Sicily, we feel ready to open ourselves to volunteers , willing and passionate who want to live, share and exchange within in this vibrant and beautiful setting. The Mediterranean Sea is just 20 minutes by train (Sampieri train station). We've got a 17th century house for the project (Oct. 2022), quite abandoned for more than one year: Plenty of work has been already done, some mino...

ENGLISH VERSION Here we live in an ancient school in the mountains of north Ardeche (1350m) ! My name is Etienne (35years old) and i live there since two years with Lena (27years old) who joined me two years ago and many people who join us throughout the year. Actually we are approximatly 7 to 10 people living here . it's a pretty remote place (closest supermarket is 30 min driving) but there is often people passing by (friends, neighbor, unkowns...). Most of the place is in a good state but there is still some work to do(paintings, coating, roof fixing, isolation...), so we would need a little help for the place to be able to welcome more people, and make our daily life better. The amout of work needed from helpers would be pretty low (around one or two hours a day), We want a little help but we want at first sharing our life with new people and have a good time. We dont have so much money and we try to repair the School with less euros as possible, with second use materials ...

Hi! We’re a British family who moved to spain in 2025 to pursue a big life change. We’ve bought a big rural property in the Spanish Pyrenees that we will be renovating over the coming years. We’re looking for someone / a couple or pair of friends to come and help us make progress here! We really enjoy collaborating with volunteers on the project and with our life here - swapping stories and ways of life. We do our best to make sure you can truly get to know this stunning and lesser-known part of spain - if you love the outdoors you will love it here - stunning scenery all around and an abundance of hiking, biking, nature swimming and more - adventure sports are in abundance. It is a peaceful and natural place, and at the same time there is a thriving scene of local festivals and things going on that make you not feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. In terms of the help needed, our first big project is converting a barn into a holiday cottage. This is taking up all of Tom’s t...

2 Small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, horses, donkeys and sheep. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. I would be very happy to welcome volunteer teachers who are willing to help at my school for two or three months, or even for a full semester. *I want the volunteers who work at my school to not feel like they are working. Instead, I want them to feel that they are enjoying themselves and having a holiday while staying with us. Their room is fully equipped with air conditioning, hot showers, and a spacious private room that is separate from the main house, so they can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.* My name is Edison I have a wife, her name is Nofi. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. We now have need of a single helper (only one room available). So please read our profile or give us a call and tell us what you would like to gain from your farm experience, apart from just your visa days. Feel free to just dro...

Permaculture project with idea and space to create an eco-village. The quinta is located in Alto Alentejo 2km from Portalegre. 15 hectares with magical forests and a beautiful valley provided by seventeen sources and several mines with healthy water where too people live permanently for the moment,Isabel, a communication manager and Michel, a carpenter who is the founder of the project. There is also one dog, five cats, for chickens and six sheep. The project is now in the phase when it’s open so that more people can live here. Because parts of the ruins are ready for occupancy, there is space for people who want to stay longer, which can bring new and stronger dynamics throughout the year, not like before, when there was only a lot going on in the summer months. So far there is already a beautiful gardens going on and numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees which deliver us plenty of food. We are happy when someone shows enthusiasm for the garden because this is a central part...

We are a couple who have bought a piece of land with a house in Mallorca, and we need a hand to help us renovate the house and take care of the garden. We already travelled a long journey but it's still a lot to be done . The big value we expect from the volunteers is the company and sharing memories. Also, we are people that in the past travel a lot, and we miss the cultural exchange. For daily task here are some examples: help with construction tasks, painting, gardening or cleaning the garden. We also have 2 chicken and a roaster. The house is in rustic area there is no public transport near by. So we can give you a ride or you can bike to the nearest village which is 3 km away, in the village you have access to bus and train station with good communication.

We are a cultural and arts community that is working towards being self-sustained. The community is situated in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal surrounded by nature. Our community provides an alternative way of living with permaculture gardens, farm animals, sustainability projects, and arts and cultural workshops. It is a great place to come to meet other like-minded people if you are passionate about sustainability and alternative living. We hold community meetings throughout the week alongside activities and workshops, such as quiz nights, dance nights and yoga classes. If you have something you are passionate about and want to share with others, we would love for you to run a workshop. One of the best things here is the variety of tasks you can do as a volunteer, which gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and discover what you enjoy doing most. welcome in our nature sanctuary on corfu island... :) . we are looking for true nature lovers… . most of us still depend on technologies which are harmful to nature… therefor we have arranged a compromise: we rent a studio for you on the beach, where you can use your cell phone and whatever other nature harming devices you still depend on… and from there you come and visit our nature sanctuary every day for three hours, five days a week… . by this way you can enjoy total privacy, free wifi, hot water shower, a cooking device and a bed with a mattress etc… and only while you visit the natudre sanctuary you leave all these harmful devices for three hours behind you… :) . we strongly recommend to try to live at least for a few weeks without all these nature harming devices, to experience the bliss of living in harmony with nature… and if you see after a certain time, that you would like to try to live in the nature sanctuary, you are more than welcome… .

We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (25) and Fina(21) and they love having volunteers around the place. Fina is doing equine studies and Frank studies horticulture and loves travelling. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, and you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home/life so please do not compare with a regular paid job.. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some Irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style f...

I also have two children, Ochta (32 years old) and Fadlil (12 years old). Ochta can speak English. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. VISA UPDATE: Due to recent and planned immigration changes we have taken the precaution of engaging with an Immigration lawyer to ensure all of farm's visa paperwork is verified and formally documented for the protection of our amazing HelpX volunteers. So we can now claim with certainty that your days spent here are FULLY COMPLIANT for 2nd & 3rd years' visas, postcode 2469, under "natural disaster" provisions (bushfire, flood and cyclone). Spring is here and warm days mean the start of growth. Vegetables are growing fruit trees are full of blossom, everything is waking up from a cold winter sleep. Nature is so wonderful at this time of the year. With all the fresh activity there are births, warm days with refreshingly cool nights - and the clean-up begins.
