Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

My husband, Tony, and I offer self-contained accommodation for short stays for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. (too cold at the moment!) Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see them on the weekend and when we look afer our grandchildren one...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

What can we offer?? We have a small rural farm of 15 acres. There is a nearby river with some water holes for swimming as well as extensive opportunities for bush walking in the rugged hills surrounding the farm home to over 200 varieties of birds as well as wallabies and goannas and indeed one koala seen the other day We are situated in the scenic and historic St. Albans only 100km form Sydney. Adjacent to the property is the Common a land grant issued by Queen Victoria to sustain local cattle farms during periods of drought etc. The area initially settled as a food source for the Sydney basin, as well as a historical area based around convict and early settlement. Farm managed by friendly older couple (some French spoken with a comfortable farmhouse available for a couple). Area is also 80km from large towns so here is a need for own transport if possible although host may provide transport at times agreed upon. For example, helpers could be transported to and from the proper...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

We welcome you to join us on our beautiful 78-acre Organic Vineyard, Berry and Citrus Farm in Denmark, Western Australia. 🍃 Located just 2.5km from the town, with stunning views to Mount Lindesay and the Scotsdale hills, we have two adjoining farms that were once a commercial organic berry farm and citrus farm, which we are regenerating. We have lots of gorgeous farm animals, including cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, as well as “Ziggy” our beloved dog! We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. I seek mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite s...

Hello! We live on a beautiful two and a half acre bush block, surrounded by tall trees and we are an easy 1km walk to lovely swimming beaches on the South Coast of NSW. We need help with our property maintenance - eg. weeding, raking, mowing, feeding the chooks, collecting the eggs, compost making etc If outdoor work is not your thing, or if it is raining and the weather not great, there are inside tasks I need a hand with like cleaning windows, general housework plus if you are a keen cook you are most welcome to take a turn! We are a semi-retired couple who love gardening, cooking, journaling, dancing and sightseeing. Our mud brick house is comfortable and usually cool in summer. You will have your own cosy room. We have fans for cooling and open fireplace for heating if required. The property has a boundary with the State Forest. It is very green all around. We have many native wildlife visit us such as wallabies, wombats, Kookaburras, and a resident Koala. We are off the grid and generate our own electricity and source our water from the creek that is fed by a small waterfall (La La Falls). Conserving energy is a common practice here and it would be wonderful to share sustainable ideas. It's a 20 min walk to the local shops. . We hope to share our rich culturally diverse lifestyle and show you our beautiful valley and quirky valley attractions. We are hoping for a helper who is willing to help with garden tidy-up (lawns, weeds and pruning), house projects and cleaning. If you know how to use too...

It’s a unique home near Port Stephens where all the rooms are five-sided pentagons. The house, cottage and permaculture gardens sit close to the inland sea, bushland, beaches, and a village community. The local village has a community garden, occasional cafe, tennis court, and activities in the Village Hall such as yoga, pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba, and community events. A car is not essential. The closest pick-up point is Karuah, which is on the Greyhound bus route from Sydney and can also be reached by local bus from Newcastle. Option 1 — Self-contained cottage:

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

We are a family of four offering a comfortable, self‑contained one‑bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our accommodation is well suited to solo travellers, couples, or friends travelling together who are happy sharing a peaceful, family‑oriented environment. We have a queen sized bed in the bedroom for our guests, however there is also a day bed and a fold out sofa in the units living space that can be converted into additional beds if required. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 4 km from the Launceston CBD. There is a bus stop close by, and a local supermarket is only a five‑minute walk away. Hi. We are an active couple in our early 50’s with 3 boys who’ve left home to study or work. We recently had 2 travellers reach out through a local group to stay a few days. They told us about this site so here we are. It was lovely to help them with their English & also learn some French. We have a lowset 4 bed, 2 bath home in a culdesac 7km from Cairns CBD & various attractions. There’s access to a fridge & pool table as well. Rod likes to ride his road bike every week, either to the cane farms south, around beaches in the north or up the mountain behind us. We love looking up at it from our back yard, & patios. We work full time but like to get out & about too whenever possible. The room includes queen bed, desk, & own bathroom. Ideally no longer than 5day stay. Not all days/dates always available. We have a couple of living areas, a decent size home/yard & would like to keep it & gardens maintained, even though quite low maintenance already. One needs a revamp. It’s the tropics &...

Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week.

I’m Darrall, a long-time design educator and university adjunct working part-time from home, supervising PhD students and doing education research. It’s a unique home near Port Stephens where all the rooms are five-sided pentagons. The house, cottage and permaculture gardens sit close to the inland sea, bushland, beaches, and a village community. Singles, friends, or couples are welcome, and I can host up to four helpers at a time if the fit is right.
A private cottage about 20 metres from the main house, with its own kitchen/dining area, bathroom/shower, lounges, two king-single sofa beds (or double), aircon and log fire...

Situated 101km west of Sydney 1.7km into the bush North of the village of Leura in the magnificent Blue Mountains We are open to any length of stay with the option to stay longer after 1 week if things work out. Helping us for the equivalent of about 4 hours a day 5 days a week in whatever pattern is agreed on, in return for meals and accommodation. 'About us: Damian, John, and Murphy the dog. We have hosted WOOFers and Helpx before and really enjoyed the experience. John and I are both fully vaccinated and expect you to be too and to have travel insurance. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Our children are 2 and 4 years old, so we welcome guests who enjoy being around little ones and who can be mindful of keeping noise low during nap times and evenings. Just across the road from our home is Queechy Lake, a peaceful natural space that is especially appealing to birdwatchers and nature lovers. These...

WE NEED Helpers for four days, if anyone is free. G'day! We welcome reliable COUPLES for a stay of four (4) days/nights (non-smoking only). [For exceptional, experienced couples with good English, there is an option for an extended stay on a different plan. We call this "HelpX Lite" - see details* below] We are retired academics living a 25 minute walk from Fremantle and the beach (5 minute drive). We can lend you bikes to get there quicker! We have a lovely limestone house with views of the ocean as well as the river, which is only a 5 minute walk away. We will provide a simple dinner, and also provide food for you to make your own breakfast. We have wifi. We can pick you up from Fremantle station if required (Fremantle is only 25 minutes by train from Perth central station). We can help you to improve your English. We do volunteer work and have many family commitments so our own house and garden are often neglected. We are looking for people willing to help for three and...
