PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

Join us on our 12-acre hillside property in South West Gippsland as we restore buildings, grow food, care for animals, and bring a long-neglected farm back to life. We’re looking for observant, motivated workers who are keen to contribute to real projects, share daily life, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of rural Victoria. In return, you’ll enjoy great food, friendly company, and the chance to learn and live in a truly unique setting. Hello! We’re Karen and Al, a couple in our late fifties who made a tree-change from Melbourne to this beautiful 12-acre property eight years ago. Nestled on a spur overlooking the stunning Moyarra Valley, we’re surrounded by rolling hills, big skies, and fresh country air. It’s a peaceful, inspiring place—but there’s always lots to do! The property had been neglected for around 20 years before we arrived, so we’ve been gradually bringing it back to life. Our ongoing projects include the renovation and restoration of two houses, garden design and landscapi...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae here. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely and we are running it as holiday accommodation as we move towards turning it into a funky retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer. A pair of the endangered and majestic wedge-tailed eagles live 1km away and often soar above us. This link has a lot more photos of our place: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1404048948970319721 The next specific needs are: a) asap (10 May onwards for 1-2 weeks only): Need a helper to help install fencing around my field, so must be strong / fit / good stamina! b) end of May onwards. Mostly cleaning and bedrooms resetting, & some gardening. Minimum stay 4 weeks, but we prefer longer stays! If you want to come the se...

Starting 17th May. Please read the entire post before responding. Are you wanting to learn new skills? Work with cattle, chooks and horses in a beautiful landscape? As we are a working farm we prefer people who are interested in agriculture, it is nicer for you and us. Moderately good English is needed as we take safety seriously. We understand it is difficult to speak in another language and are happy to assist you to improve! Have fun, experience regenerative, biological agriculture and be part of enhancing the biodiversity of a patch of land, using organic, biodynamic, and biological techniques. A bit of house and garden renovation also. We ask for between 4 and 5 hours help per day. This can be very rewarding for the right people, there is something different every day! Staying here and helping us, will give you some farm experience and more confidence. You will learn heaps and your contribution is much appreciated. We are looking for a couple or two people travelling together f...

We live in a large house on a beautiful property in the Perth Hills. The house has 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 kitchens including an outdoor kitchen, so there is quite a lot of cleaning and gardening that we need help with. The house is kept very tidy and we all chip in with the gardens however we could always use some help! The property is currently for sale so every few weeks we have a home open and need the house to be presentable. We have tenants from all over the world and we all get along like a big family, however the house is big enough that you can also keep to yourself. We all start work quite early and are usually in bed quite early as well, so we are looking for quiet and respectful tenants. We have a lot of fun, but this is not a party house.

Ben and I (Polly) live in the beautiful northern beaches suburb of Kewarra Beach, located a 25 minute drive north from the centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland. We live on a standard suburban block in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom simple home. We love our garden and specifically growing tropical fruits and vegetables - there is always something to pick and eat! We have bantam chickens who roam the yard by day. We are in our late 30s, are both full time workers, working from home, Monday to Friday. We travel a little for work so will need to work around those dates. We are after 1-2 helpxers at a time, ideally for a 1-2 week stay, to help us with our garden, painting the outside of our house (depending on your experience, the weather) and other general house items. On the weekends when we are not working we will be working along side you too. As it is hot we find working earlier in the morning or later in the day best for the outside jobs. We provide a bedroom with either two sin...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

Our wonderful helpers from France have finally moved on - long after they originally intended as they loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wonthaggi and Inverloch so having a car is convenient but there...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

Hi, we’re Terry (64) & Tricia (56)! We live on a beautiful 5 acre lifestyle property in Yandaran, about 35 km north of Bundaberg. Yandaran is a small rural village surrounded by farmland, offering a relaxed country atmosphere. We love showing people around our wonderful area - you can enjoy fishing, catching mud crabs, exploring freshwater river crossings, and visiting a beautiful beach only minutes away. We’re looking for some help putting the finishing touches on our property- small fencing jobs for animal yards, establishing lawn and garden areas and a few homestead projects. We offer accommodation in our 21 foot caravan, complete with own toilet and bathroom. We haven’t hosted for a few years, but we have previous experience as hosts and made many friends around the world because of it - and we look forward to meeting many more!

We are located in northeast Kakadu at the East Alligator River and Cahills Crossing into Arnhemland. Helpers will have an amazing opportunity to explore the area and learn about local indigenous rock art, artwork and culture, interact with Bininj, immerse in stunning natural landscapes and appreciate flora and fauna of World Heritage Kakadu NP. There is NO swimming in this area- CROCODILES! Cahills Crossing across the East Alligator River is famous for them. The lease is owned by an Indigenous association for whom I run the store and hostel during the Dry Season, May to October. Our core focus in the Store is representing Injalak Arts and Crafts from Gunbalanya in Arnhemland. Supporting this there is coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, snacks and other merchandise. The help will be very diverse and unstructured, as it is a lifestyle, in and around the store: be it with the local artworks from Injalak Art Centre, which is a collective of around 300 Bininj (pronounced Bining) artists from t...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hello! If you’re a solo traveler looking for a peaceful, safe, nature filled place to stay, we’d really love to hear from you. We currently have availability now, with a short break from 4–19 July. We pause hosting from November to March because the heat and humidity make outdoor work uncomfortable — focusing on the cooler months means your stay is far more enjoyable, relaxed, and productive. 🌱 Who We Are We’re Craig and Yvonne, easy going retirees in our sixties who’ve built our dream life on a forested acreage overlooking Wallis Lake and the Pacific Ocean. We love welcoming curious, kind, nature loving helpers into our home and creating a safe, calm, and friendly environment — especially for solo travellers who appreciate comfort and respect. 🛠️ Your Role (Flexible & Supportive) We’d like you to help us in the mornings, five flexible half days a week, with tasks you can choose from, such as: • Gardening and caring for the property • Track building in the bush, general maintenanc...

Dear Helpers AVAILABILITY FROM MAY 10 to May 17 to help in my garden with weeding & to spread mulch under the big fig tree. PLEASE NOTE My Accommodation has changed in the last 6 months ( previous Helper accommodation mentioned in helper reviews) as I currently have a housemate in my guest room. Helpers accommodation is in my small studio ( separate from the main house) it has a double bed. The bathroom is shared and in the main house. Over the years I have completed many building & garden projects with the help of many fabulous helpers from around the world! I’ve recently been travelling myself and now have returned home and there is much to be done in my garden & some home maintenance that I would appreciate assistance with. Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive. There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. ...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 Meals and accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small town where we have 2 supermarkets, post office , ha...

Two hours work each day per person (No work on Sundays). You can do extra hours one day to take a day off the following day if you like. You can hang out with me later if you want to learn more about everyday Australian language and culture or you can just go and do your own activities. Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. Please note, there is no internet on at the house, I prefer to communicate with people face to face. I only have internet on my phone. There is a community centre just down the road where you can access the internet on week days. There's also a club in town that has free internet and is open until 4am 7 days a week. The only room currently available is the smaller double room upstairs. I currently have a lady with 2 children in the other 2 rooms downstairs. Ipswich is a love...

We are a family of three, my wife and I and 18 year old son. We Live in Hobart and I travel to my studio in Cradoc most days to work. I am a practicing artist ( sculptor) operating a studio on 8 acres and I'm the process of setting up the garden and exchange artist in residence (listed on resartis) and helpx accommodation ( very basic). There is a little cottage on the property with a double bed and a wood heater/cook top. This is suitable for a couple or single person( one room) or shared small space. It has a lovely valley view and very cosy. The toilet and shower are a short walk away. It is more practical in summer and only for the brave in winter, as a lot of the time you are outdoors. We are looking for some one to live in the little cottage and work for minimum 10 hours a week. This really is only an accommadation type exchange hence only the 10 hours. It can be done all in a day or over a longer period- it's up to you. You will have to supply own food and prep - kitchen...

The area is often referred to as, 'The last frontier', due to the extreme weather & wildlife. It is a whole different experience if you are keen to give us a go. Physical fitness is encouraged. Tiny Farm in Beautiful Southern Midlands, Tasmania We are Des and Kathy, living on our small farm in a peaceful rural hamlet in the Southern Midlands of Tasmania. Our property is surrounded by lovely countryside and offers a quiet, relaxing setting with plenty of fresh air and open space. We have two dogs and two sheep that are part of our little farm family. We're currently focused on designing and building low-water vegetable gardens to make our patch more sustainable and productive in Tasmania’s climate. We also have various small building and maintenance projects around the property. In the winter it's often frosty in the morning, and sometimes we have snow. The air is fresh and clean, and sometimes we get to see the Aurora Australis! What we can offer you: Tiny home-style accommodation separate from our residence (private space with its own character - queen bed, so couples or singles ok) Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities in our main residence A calm, quiet location perfect f...

It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

Hi, We are Ben and Del. We have been hosts since 2018 and are happy to take helpers all year round. We are looking for couples or two friends as we are a little isolated and prefer two people to be at home together. ABOUT US Ben works in management and I am an Agriculture Teacher at the local high school. Our twin girls, Isabelle and Mackenzie finished school in 2025 and are currently working locally. We are a busy family living in a large home nestled between the Blue Mountains and Wollemi National Parks. We are 15 minutes from Richmond train station and 1.5 hours from Sydney CBD. We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated couple to come and help our family. Because we are so busy we really are only looking for people who have lots of initiative and who can work independently. GETTING HERE Your own car is not essential but would be beneficial.

There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. ...

This is a rural block with some cattle a few fruit trees and lots and lots of wallabies. It lies astride the Finniss River on the way to Litchfield Park and it is just 5km from the park boundary, 14km from Batchelor and just over 100km from Darwin. There is a caravan park next door, where you can by drinks and takeaway food if needed. We are looking for motivated people who are travelling around Australia and interested in sharing our home for short stays of about a week to 10 days. Jobs might include gardening, weeding, watering, fencing, painting and general cleaning inside and outside.

If you don't have a vehicle we can pick you up from Richmond train station. Ben travels to Penrith most days for work so catching a lift...
