This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Welcome! I am Fern. I live together with my 3 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! I love kirtan and am busy immersing ourselves in the local community. There maybe a proj...

I am seeking mature travellers who are travelling around the South West in their own Camper Van or Car with tent etc. Traveller/helpers need to be self contained but I provide access to clean toilet and shower facilities. I have some really nice set up camp sites here - the sites are private, clean, safe and located in beautiful natural bushland settings. If you would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can usually help traveller/helpers locate many other things.., like possible work services, free food services and access to various beaches etc. I like to show people how they can live on the land sustainably, how they can build their own sustainable homes and grow their own food...., using what is around them, to adapt to their environment and adopt permaculture principals to suit their own needs. I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local gra...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

*Update -Autumn - Winter 2026 We need helpers to conduct a big clean up, maintain gardens, care for chicken and manage housework. **Please note- We usually prefer to welcome helpers straight away-e.g available now or in the next few days. taking bookings for weeks or months ahead has never worked for us as we buy the extra food and supplies and too many people have cancelled because plans change when travelling. We generally don't take "bookings" for anything longer than one week or so away. We currently have a lot of projects on at the moment so there is a wide selection of tasks to choose from. Work includes gardening projects, feeding chickens, mowing, brush cutting, household chores and upgrading the chicken pen and organising work spaces. **Accommodation is either in a detached house in the forest (up a steep hill from the main house) There are two separate bedrooms up there and our 18 year old son sleeps in one bedroom and you will have the other bedroom. Or you can sl...

Hi everyone my name is David, and I live at in Mount Warning Caldera in Northern NSW. The closest town is Murwillumbah, which is approx a 30 min drive away. I designed and built my property back in the early 80’s. There are 9 other properties out here, but we all have a lot of space as we are on 450 acres of land. The house sits on a ridge, with views of the Springbrook Plateau, and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is an area of high bio-diversity with rainforest, waterfalls, rivers & many different types of wildlife, which is all easily accessible. You may encounter wallabies, lizards, snakes and numerous bird life I have done a lot of traveling over the years, am passionate about music and love to have a jam with my friends, and practice Tai-Chi daily. I enjoy good food, and my diet is mainly vegetarian, and i have my own veggie patch. I am looking for help with gardening, planting trees, weeding, mulching, making compost, some help with cleaning would be great too. Th...

Currently looking for workers who have skills to assist building a fence as I’ve just adopted a rescue dog ❤️ Thank you for the inquiries 😊 Island Farm has extensive views over the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. 10 minutes from Airlie Beach. Fruit and vegetable garden and pond. Big pool overlooking view just 2 steps from queen size guest bedroom. Need help in the garden and around the house. Also on the boat and at my art studio in town sometimes. I was a woofer host for 20 years on my organic farm and loved having travelers stay. It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

Hi potential helpers The old blue Queenslander always has jobs and things that need doing. I work full time from home so it's always great to have some help. Usually gardening and cleaning. Sometimes painting and fixing. Sometimes jobs using your special skills. It's best if you have your own transport but I can pick up from cairns if you don't. I provide plenty of food and a comfortable room. I ask for 4 hours work a day. It is a great place to chill out with not a lot near by. So better to have your own car if you are not used to just lazing about in your spare time and want to have a good look around. However if you don't have your own car I can take you on a bit of a tour around if you would like. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards Julia

This is a 5-acre permaculture and Land for Wildlife property in Jimboomba, South East Queensland, located in a rain-shadow region that receives less rainfall than greater Brisbane. The property is designed and managed using regenerative permaculture principles, with a strong focus on water efficiency, food production and long-term self-sufficiency. Since moving onto the land in 2016, the site has evolved into a diverse, productive landscape with established native vegetation, food forests, perennial growing systems, water-harvesting earthworks, wicking beds, a greywater garden, and a zero-waste nursery and worm farm. Ducks, geese, chickens, pigs and sheep are raised on the property, alongside honeybee hives. On-site harvesting and food preservation are part of the system. Doreen runs this place as a permaculture consulting and education business, offering workshops, one-on-one food-growing coaching and property consultations. We love Helpx and know you will too. Read our reviews. I will start with if you are looking for a job around Noosa in a restaurant or somewhere and you want to work in Noosa for money we are NOT for you. We have been doing Helpx for 16 years now and we love it, meeting people and sharing our area with them. If you want a Helpx fun experience we are it .Lately though we have had some helpxers looking to find work in Noosa . Sadly this changes the vibe of Helpx and the carefree fun feel becomes sit around on the computer and drop resumes and the community feel goes, we understand people love Noosa and accommodation is expensive and hard to get but Helpx should stay your focus . I hope you understand. We have probably had 60 sets of helpxers stay with us . We Are retired and our daughter and our son are 30 and 32 and are working now sadly in other cities, so the house is empty and we like company .Our house has a large garden 1000m (not that big) and the house is quite big also, as we ...

We’re a friendly family living on a small 5-acre homestead in Tuchekoi, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We have a rustic little campground, a vegie garden, a few pigs and sheep, and a mix of day-to-day jobs that help keep the property running smoothly. Life here is simple, relaxed and very outdoorsy. We offer accommodation in our onsite caravan or a powered van site in exchange for around 20 hours of help per week. We’re flexible with how the hours are done — you can do more on some days and take others off, depending on the tasks and your plans. Typical help includes watering and weeding the garden, blowing leaves, feeding the animals, filling troughs, helping with the chickens, stocking firewood, cleaning the campground amenities, and general tidying or small projects around the place. Nothing too heavy or complicated. If you stay in our caravan, you’ll have your own toilet, shower, fridge, cooking facilities and TV — a comfortable and private space to relax. If you bring your own ...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit...

Hi, we are an older/elderly couple living in a quiet suburb of Melbourne, very close to public transport and about 25 minutes from the city centre. We are looking for some help from May 16th 2026 This placement would involve being involved in a range of tasks working in the garden and helping in the house. Normally, we would like you to do 4 hours a day, preferably in the morning but we are flexible about these arrangements. We offer breakfasts and dinners but lunches are your responsibility. We do not expect our helpers to work at weekends. Guests would share a comfortable double room and private bathroom. Occasionally we may have to make changes to this arrangement but that is very rare. The house is quite well equipped, but it is a cottage, not a big place, so, we are all living in close contact. Unfortunately, we won't accept smokers, either in the house or outside and we would expect you to leave immediately if we suspected any drug taking. If you are interested, I urg...

Hi Happy Travellers, I am seeking helpx for May15 for a stay of 10 days. I am going away 19-22May and so need someone to look after my old dog, Biddy, a lovely natured Labrador. If you arrive about 15th that will give us time to get to know each other.. A friend, also on the island is after someone or ones immediately as she travels in two weeks. She lives in a grand 2 storey house looking out on the water. She is mainly needing mowing as she is on acreage. My home is a two story red cedar home, surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. Coochiemudlo is a quick 10 minute ferry trip from Victoria Point where buses can regularly take you in all directions. On the island we have a local bus which will pick you up or deliver you for a gold coin. I have an ...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years, we enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this ti...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

Welcome!

Th...

Please note *** I currently have a Helpex traveler here until 30/4 so no availability until after that date !! Now my daughter has left home her gorgeous room is free and love to have you stay. Island Farm is a very beautiful and peaceful place. It’s not a party house. I can offer a 3 day stay for starters and see how we go. 😊🌺

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .
