Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. Murrnong has a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. Our house is made of timber and mud brick, and we catch our own water. Most of our food comes from the house garden and farm, including a huge range of fresh fruit all year round, a range of vegetables for each season, honey, cheese, olive oil, table olives, and home killed or hunted meat. We eat shared meals, most meals are vegetarian. Type of jobs: farm and garden work, combined with l...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Sorting through items in a shed and packing things in boxes - as well as some of the garden and household tasks mentioned below. Please contact us if you are interested! ******** We are a retired couple, but very active and busy. As a result, we are struggling to keep up with tasks like weeding our vegetable garden, lawn mowing, other simple garden maintenance and light housework & house maintenance. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining or too hot. Be ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. hello, my name is Steven. my wife and I are living in this small rural town for 20 years and we know the surrounding area very well. I work as a health professional in the town. so we usually quite busy may only take you out to nearby tourist spot on weekends. Near Hamilton, there are mountains, hot springs, waterfalls, and beaches. It's about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Melbourne. the land of my home is about one acre in size. Because I'm busy most of the time, there's a lot of grass that needs mowing, and some trees that need pruning. I have two cats, so their litter needs to be scooped every day. If you come in winter, you might need to light the fire place. There's a fire at home for heating. Yes, we burn large chunks of wood in winter. we have massage chair, red light therapy unit and a small oxygen chamber in TV room. As for cultural exchange, since I'm Chinese, I still maintain Chinese living habits. we also have rich life experience and knowledge, so if you're intere...

** as of 22nd June we are looking for a helper to start round 9th July for an approx 2 week stay ** Your time here counts towards the 88 days working visa requirements as we are in a declared natural disaster region. We are a family in rural Australia who have helpers (only 1 helper at any one time) stay with us from time to time. Our experience has been that shorter stays of 2-3 weeks work best for our situation. We live on a beautiful property on the Nymboida River, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dorrigo and 40 minutes drive from Bellingen. We offer a luxurious, self contained cottage which is adjacent to our house but is also privately positioned. We have young children and enjoy meeting new people. We have a great swimming hole on the river (that we share with platypus and other creatures) and there are kayaks to use. Our wood fired sauna is a great way to end the day :) Our property is teeming with wildlife and 7 riverside hectares are set aside as a conservation area in...

Hello from the beautiful Dandenong Ranges! My current Helper is looking for a flat, as he will be living in Melbourne, so the room will be free again in a couple of weeks. I’m looking to host a single traveller. I am a self-employed ARTIST in a very colourful home. I have 1 dog, 5 goats and 3 lovely human housemates. EXPECTATIONS Enthusiastic, trustworthy English-speaking helpers who enjoy a laugh, are practical and can work INDEPENDENTLY. There are several varied DIY projects on the go. Most of the work is outside, you need to be physically fit and prepared for manual labour. Do you know how to use a drill, a drop saw, a sander and an angle grinder? Garden maintenance duties include but not limited to: use a whipper snipper to tidy garden edges; rake leaves; hand weed, digging, collecting fallen branches and stic...

Please read our profile carefully, and see our website and instagram. If you feel you are the right person or people for us, we look forward to receiving your application. This is a permaculture small farm on the edge of Violet Town, just 800m from the train station. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

We would like one or two people in July to help us pack up for moving. It will mostly be light work. We would greatly appreciate anyone who could help with any of these tasks - and even cook a little if you enjoy doing that. We live in a beautiful and accessible part of the Adelaide Hills. We often see and hear koalas in the trees around us, we are just a few minutes drive from Mt. Lofty and Cleland Conservation Park and the Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and a 15 minute drive from the lovely tourist village of Hahndorf. There are also many walking trails including the Heysen Trail ...

It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). hello, my name is Steven. my wife and I are living in this small rural town for 20 years and we know the surrounding area very well.

We're reactivating Helpx after a lapse since COVID as we need some help mostly with garden work, barrowing and spreading mulch. We've enjoyed having young ( and not so young) helpers from around the world over the years. We are a middle aged couple and an adult daughter living in a large house on the outskirts of Woolgoolga. We have fruit trees, native bushes, hilly block of land, possums kangaroos and other native animals. We are looking for short term helpers establishing and maintaining a large garden, pruning, general weeding, house cleaning, cooking, washing up, painting etc... We would be grateful for any help provided and we would love to share stories about life experiences, travelling etc... Working times are flexible 2 to 4 hours a day, one day off a week. We are on the main road between Sydney and Brisbane, close to bus station, nearest railway station is Coffs Harbour. There's also an airport in Coffs Harbour. No need to have own transport. 4 km to the beach. 2 rooms with ...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

I look forward to hearing from travellers who can help with limited instructions, unsupervised and have a passion for gardening, fence repair, building and DIY projects. Do you know how to use a drill, a drop saw, a sander and an angle grinder? Garden maintenance duties include but not limited to: use a whipper snipper to tidy garden edges; rake leaves; hand weed, digging, collecting fallen branches and stic...

We are getting our home ready to sell and need some help with cleaning, gardening and repairs to get it looking nice. Anything you can help with - cleaning, gardening, washing, painting, pressure washing. We are just super short on time and not getting through it. Our house has a seperate self contained 2 bedroom space with a full bathroom and basic cooking facilities that you can stay in. You'll have your own private space in exchange for helping us out around the house for half a day each day. One room has a king bed and another has a queen. This would suit a couple, or friends. The space is rented on airbnb so we need to time it around exisiting bookings. Staying for 3 or 4 nights or more would be great. Our house is 15 mins walk from Angels Beach in East Ballina. We are a couple from Canada and NZ with an 8 year old child. We both work full time so need help to get our place looking nice. We have used Helpx quite a lot in the past and have had great experiences. Please ...
