We are an active retired couple 600 metres up overlooking Lake Hume, the Murray River and the Victorian snowfields. We are on the border of New South Wales and Victoria. Our major town is Albury Wodonga where we could pick up anyone from the station, if necessary. We have cork oaks, olives, pistachios and fruit trees. The neighbours run sheep on the place from time to time. We have just started making cider if you come at that time of the year you can join in with the pressing. We would need help with general maintenance, pruning, mowing, gardening, a little fencing, wood chopping, painting etc. You would live with us in our house and meals would be provided. Welcome! I am Fern. I live together with my 3 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch.
