Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. I run Paradise Road Farm - regeneratively farmed beef (which I sell at a farm gate) as well as boutique farm stay accommodation on my beautiful 100 acre farm just outside Sheffield. The farm has stunning mountain views and is close to all the attractions of North West Tasmania (we are on the main road to Cradle Mountain). In the spring months I am looking for people to get their hands dirty setting up the garden for summer (lots of weeding), taking care of seedlings , landscaping, land care/ bush regeneration, and helping to move the cattle and monitoring expectant mama cows during the calving season.
