Hello, I have recently moved into a property 15 minutes out of St Mary’s. It has a comfortable house and is surrounded by pristine bush. I have a vision of what I would like the property to eventually look like but there is a lot of work to do before then. Firstly the property needs a good tidy up. It hasn’t been maintained for a few years so there is quite a lot of growth that needs to be cleared to make it fire safe. This will involve chainsawing and brush cutting (whipper snipper). There is a lot of building materials and rubbish that can be taken to the tip. The house could do with a deep clean as well. There are some small shelters (a bit damaged) that I would like to resurrect and tidy up so that they can be used. The house has a lot of character and a great feel. The property and the bush here is very relaxed, quiet and calm. You can only hear the sound of the bush and the birds. A great environment to really slow down, connect and enjoy the beauty of the Tasmanian bush. There...

If you choose to come and help me, I can introduce you to the things that I love about this area. I have lived and worked here on this land for 40+ years ! I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely after its 4 year renovation build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The next adventure will be to turn this into a funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer and eagle.. See our Airbnb listing with over 60 photos via our website link: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1404048948970319721 Generally we look for HelpXers to help with the gardening, maintenance jobs and housekeeping. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so in those months we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) end February on...

Sister is away for a month and she has been filling the role of the extra hand that we need. We love Wholistic health, Swimming, Fishing, Bush walking, Bike riding and Camping. We don't get to do it as much as we used to because i am still doing some natural health protocols as I have recently recovered from cancer. Sometimes we all get together and have a camp fire/ bbq in the back yard (mostly winter time). Our House has a large block with pets, organic gardens and we are having a go at aquaponics. We love to share our local life style and happy to meet new people and listen to others adventures too:) We are looking for one person primarily to help out with the weekly chores: help keep the house clean, Make juice, wash veggies (sp...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

We’d love to welcome you to our 5-acre permaculture farm in Shadforth, just 4km from the heart of Denmark in stunning South-West WA. Relax in your own private apartment, completely separate from the house. 🌱 On our farm we apply permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. We use a chicken mandala system, rotating our chicken coop through veggie garden zones to regenerate soil, reduce pests, and grow nutrient-rich food. We use sheep for regenerative grazing and for our own meat self sufficiency. Our next project is planting fruit trees to increase biodiversity and productivity on the land. 👨👩👦👦 We are a couple with two energetic boys aged 10 and 13. We are active in the local community and we enjoy sharing our lifestyle with open-minded, curious people. 🐕 Our land is also home to our loyal and hard-working male livestock guardian dog, who takes his job of protecting the chickens and sheep from foxes very seriously. There...
