VISIT BEAUTIFUL BRUNY ISLAND near Hobart. DO YOU LOVE ❤️ OYSTERS? 🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🥂If not we have lots of other delicious food. We need help Monday September 21st, Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd. Day trip or stay with us a few nights. Car preferred but we might be able to pick you up. The weather is a bit crazy on Sunday, so safer to travel Monday. Work for 3-4 hours then we will have an amazing dinner. You can stay with us at our holiday house with water views. Or you can just come for the day and catch the last ferry home after dinner. The option might exist to stay longer but that’s by special request. This would suit singles, (if there's others staying) couples or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. Sometimes we have small numbers just 2 people, other times large numbers of backpackers and travellers. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. Hi adventurers! We are Luke & Anita and live with our 2yr old Kelpie Cross sheep dog ‘Trixie’. We love being around likeminded people who are respectful & kind to the earth and each other; thoughtful to reduce, re-use & repurpose resources where possible. ABOUT OUR PROJECTS 1. Town (Trevallyn) Our home overlooks Launceston and Kanamaluka (where the Tamar River meets the North & South Esk Rivers). We live alongside a lovely park with basket-ball court and easy walking distance to the famous Cataract Gorge; full of beautiful walking trails, places to rock climb, swim and mountain bike. We've almost finished renovating here though there's still a few things to tick off like enamel painting, gardening + general cleaning etc. 2. ‘Ashburn’ (just outside the village of Carrick which is 20km south west of Launceston) This is Anita’s parents farm which they have protected much of the bush for land & native species conservation. Here they run fine-wool sheep and we like to help the...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

Hi helpers We are sammy and nick We have moved from our farm to a new place on the coorong in SA! The local town of Meningie! We have built a beautiful home on the lake. and have been hosting helpers for almost 8 years! Check our reviews The position we have currently would suit either a couple or a single. The position is a bee keepers assistant and you would be required to help with bee keeping tasks with Nick like extracting and labelling honey and also taking care of some light house chores like mowing lawn and basic tidy up. If you have your own car that is preferred but not a dealbreaker. ability to drive a manual car would be good. It’s can be hot and sweaty work outdoors in the sun and you cannot be allergic to bees. It can also be very messy and sticky. We would provide you with a room in our home. It is a new build on the lakeside with our dog hoodoo and Nick and myself. We are flexible with task times as Nick and myself still work while managing the bees. So times when w...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. We are a family of five living a self reliant lifestyle, on a small isolated block. We produce our own food, including goat's yoghurt & cheese, wild or raised meats, eggs, fruit and veggies from our established gardens. We have no income from our property as we are always wanting to become more self-sufficient, so guests must be self motivated and hard working, and be able to contribute skills. We do not allow the use of chemicals (shampoo, sunscreen deodorants etc...) as our grey-water goes directly onto the food gardens, but we do supply our own home made organic soaps and creams. Our aim is to create a co-operative living space, so opportunities arise for short and long term or permanent stay. We have three children who we homeschool using natural learning methods. Travellers with children are very welcome. Please visit our website via link below. We are randomly online and prefer telephone contact to make arrangements.

We are a semi-retired couple who love gardening, cooking, journaling, dancing and sightseeing. Our mud brick house is comfortable and usually cool in summer. You will have your own cosy room. We have fans for cooling and open fireplace for heating if required. The property has a boundary with the State Forest. It is very green all around. We have many native wildlife visit us such as wallabies, wombats, Kookaburras, and a resident Koala. We are off the grid and generate our own electricity and source our water from the creek that is fed by a small waterfall (La La Falls). Conserving energy is a common practice here and it would be wonderful to share sustainable ideas. It's a 20 min walk to the local shops. . We hope to share our rich culturally diverse lifestyle and show you our beautiful valley and quirky valley attractions. We are hoping for a helper who is willing to help with garden tidy-up (lawns, weeds and pruning), house projects and cleaning. If you know how to use too...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

I live in the Sydney suburb of Wollstonecraft which is a 10 minute walk to 2 stations and various buses. It is about 25 minutes from my house to the city. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. Before you read further - I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all - not that you smoke outside). If I find that you do smoke you will be asked to leave that day - I (and my children when they are here) are all asthmatics. I also cannot do scents, particularly old spice, any spray on deodorant or lynx. I am allergic to mint so you cannot chew gum. I try to be as eco friendly as possible and I ask you do the same in my house. This means sorting rubbish, saving water (4 minute shower only plus other measures) and saving electricity (ie turning off unnecessary lights) and generally being environmentally conscious. If you decide that you are going to ask to stay at my house I will take it that you agree with the boundaries' above and that you will work with me o...

We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. I've previously been a Helpx host with my family winery and vineyard, as well as my farm property south of Adelaide. These days the winery is winding down, but in the past 18 months I've tripled the farm size to 130Ha (325ac). I'm currently growing hay and agisting sheep, with dozens of kangaroos for company. The farm is minutes from Victor Harbor (population 16,000), but the feeling is remote, as neighbouring houses can't be seen. The big projects at the moment are fencing and laying pipework for water for the sheep. There's also things like cutting firewood, machinery maintenance, road building, shed building and looking after a patch of native scrub. I have a covered orchard and the beginnings of a veggie garden, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so someone who could help with that would be much appreciated. The property is off-grid, but has all the modern conveniences of power, water, heating and air conditioning, all of which I've done myself. Most of the time you would be wo...

We are looking for self-sufficient, collaborative and friendly individuals to join us on our property in Taradale or “Taradise” as the locals call it, situated in the “Victorian Goldfields” region around 1.5 hrs north of Melbourne by car or train. Two friends, or a couple would be ideal. We are a friendly couple who enjoy meeting people from around the globe and we’d love to enhance your experience here in Aus. Our home is an original 1860’s miners cottage which has been extended, situated on 1.7 acres of beautiful established trees, roses, tranquil gardens and a lovely swimming pool. It’s quiet and peaceful here, you can sit on the veranda and watch the birdlife, or walk along the country roads and spot the kangaroos. We’d love some help in the garden including weeding, pruning and grounds maintenance and depending on your skill base some painting, and general maintenance. On wet weather days house cleaning and cooking. 4 hours help each day, 5 days a week would be ideal in e...

We are primary producers in the eliglible postcode(4854) for 88 day sign off for the 2nd and 3rd year visa. We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...
