Offering comfortable accommodation in a natural environment in exchange for general help with mainly outdoor projects - tell us your skills and interests and we'll probably have a project to match! Looking for help year round, happy to offer one to two weeks at a time with longer stays possible after we've got to know each other a little. Your own vehicle is essential as we do not have any public transport routes available. Us: We are a relaxed couple who enjoy the quiet life - Al is retired and spends most days pottering - always plenty of jobs around the place; and Vicki works 3 days/week from home, when she's away from her desk you'll most likely find her in the veggie garden or the kitchen. We enjoy lots of "homesteading" activities including breadmaking and preserving, herbal medicine, soap making and general crafts. Al is trying to learn the didgeridoo and hoping to have more time for painting and drawing and Vicki enjoys travel and garden planning and a good book. We bot...

We host a small Airbnb farmstay Everything here is pretty laid back & you'll become part of our family while you are here. Longer stayers preferred. We have lots of projects on the go here on our little farm, from building stone gateways to house renovations, gardening, property maintenance, animal care, housework, weed control & tree planting in our protected 'Land For Wildlife' area, whatever we are doing at the time. Two days off each week. We are the opposite of the slave-driving factory farms. We have accom suitable for a couple and/or a single. One spare bedroom with comfortable double bed in house in St Peters. Walk to Sydney Park and funky old King Street. Convenient to trains, buses and airport. Household is myself, one housemate, friends staying over from time to time, & it is a lesbian & gay friendly household. I am happy to host a single or couple who can do general housework, gardening and landscaping, & some simple construction & repair work. Right now I am looking for Helpers who can arrive before 23rd Decemeber for work in the backyard and garden = re-potting plants, weeding, restoring vegetable garden and maintenance of wooden verandah. Regards indoor work it is the usual vacuuming and cleaning surfaces. Regards meals, I will supply food but you need to be able to cook for yourself as I am not a cook. I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting many HelpXers at various times over the last several years, with Helpers generally staying ~10 days to 3 weeks. I am easy-going & flexible (so its good if you are too) .

We need two people travelling together who want to visit us for about a week in mid-December.. We are a busy and active couple in our 70s needing some help on our medium-sized suburban land on the north-east fringe of Melbourne. Rain over the past couple of months has caused way too much grass to spring up where it shouldn't be. So, our need is for people who can help us with lots of weeding and, to break it up a bit, some rabbit-proofing. We need people who are comfortable working without supervision, after some initial instructions. The arrangement is to work for about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), evening meals most nights, or food of your choice to cook if we are not home. You will have your own comfortable room and separate bathroom, a lounge room with TV, and unlimited WiFi. We have a tennis court, a billiard/snooker/pool table, table football, and board games, which you are wel...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

Help us regenerate a drought-hit alpaca farm — hands-on work, fibre arts, and big sky living. About Us: This is a mother–daughter-run regenerative alpaca farm in SA’s Mid North. We took over a long-neglected property and we’re rebuilding it during some of the driest years in SA history — restoring paddocks, planting trees, building soil, trialling food and flower crops, and creating a paddock-to-product fibre and agritourism experience. It’s hands-on, real and evolving — more creating than maintaining. Accommodation: Private room in our home with shared bathroom + WiFi. OR bring your own van/camper/tent — power + water available. Work: 4–5 hours per day (5 days/week) in exchange for accommodation + meals. Work varies with season but may include: • animal feeding + care • weeding, mulching, planting + irrigation • fencing + general farm repairs • orchard, garden + flower patch development • fibre sorting + processing (paddock to product) • clean-up + property improvement • assisting w...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We usually do 7am to midday then off till 5.30 with a couple of animal care and kitchen duties in evening! We have baby wallabies to care for as well as baby goats! Check our Facebook page and if your interested send us a message. We prefer one or two weeks stay or longer if we all get along! I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

Hello Everyone, We've been hosting through helpx for over 10 years. We enjoy learning about cultures and people from all over the world. We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. We have converted a bus to a tiny home, and we are currently building a shipping container home, this is a priority and would love people to help. We also grow a lot of our own food and have fruit trees. We are 100% off-grid with all our electricity from solar and tanks, dam, and rain for water. We have a friendly dog who loves to play. Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, improve the soil, and regenerate the land to a healthy ecosystem. We use Permaculture Design methods. This means we don't use any chemical sprays, artificial fertilizer or mono-cropping on our land and live the values of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. It's a very exciting time for us to be embarking on our farming adventure, and we would like to share this t...

Hello! We are a family of one mum and 3 kids (10, 16, 17). We homeschool and live on a hobby farm where we raise our own cows and grow organic veges. Our home is off the grid but with all the modern convinces. We would love your help to tidy up our mini farm. Lawn mowing, wiper snipping, weeding, mulching, stacking firewood, help in the vege garden. Also being a part of the general household management - helping with meals and dishes alongside the teenagers. You will have your own caravan to sleep in but can hang out in the house during the day. We have bikes for enjoying the local countryside. Our area has beautiful beaches, rainforest, pretty countryside, stunning national parks and a historical seaside village. We love getting out exploring and learning in our local area.

We bot...

It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. We require a couple or two friends to assist with general maintenance & repairs over our off season, air conditioned room and meals! We usually do 7am to midday then off till 5.30 with a couple of animal care and kitchen duties in evening! We have baby wallabies to care for as well as baby goats! Check our Facebook page and if your interested send us a message. We prefer one or two weeks stay or longer if we all get along! Our camping area is closed except for die hard campers 🥳 Great experience you won’t find anywhere else/ though it’s for the adventure seekers as the weather is lucky dip atmo with climate change! But it seems to be in our favour 🥳👍 Cheers We are are a simple homestead IN THE OUTBACK with goats, poultry and a large garden. In addition we have campers and a small guesthouse for tourism over the Australian Winter.
