Welcome to this very special place by the beach along the East Coast in Tasmania. We live on just over 4 acres of land and are starting to create a garden and plant more native trees on the land. We are also building a labyrinth. Tasks on the land include gardening, wood stacking, tree planting and helping with the creation on our labyrinth. We especially welcome people with an interest in community living. We are part of an online community, see my website link below, which includes a vision of lived community with values of nonviolence and liberation for all. I am also a facilitator of the Work that Reconnects, see website link below. If you have an interest in exploring how we can live on the earth more lightly and in a regenerative way, this is the place to come and explore and have those conversations. We are just starting on this journey on this land and are experimenting in what supports choice, togetherness and flow as an antidote to scarcity, separation and powerlessnes...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland trai...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and former owner of multiple language schools and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken and 2 ducks, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome edible garden. We're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun, laughter, music and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had many awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to ...

CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (Not available to end of October) Welcome to Womble Inn, named after the beloved 70s TV characters who made good use of bad rubbish. Our home is a 1960s suburban property (728sqm) that has been transformed from a simple grass block into a growing urban permaculture haven. We have food forests, chickens, wicking beds, African keyhole gardens, bees, and are home to the Food Is Free Coolbellup pilot project. This is a real, evolving space — creative, productive, imperfect, and full of learning. We don’t always get everything right, but that’s part of the journey. The main house is a share home with people interested in living more simply, growing food, reducing waste, making things from scratch, and creating a more connected way of life. We are located close to Fremantle with easy access to beaches, cafés, live music, markets and galleries. A bus stop only 50 metres away runs directly to Fremantle. Accommodation You will stay in your own private caravan tucked...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We live on a small acreage about 20 minutes outside of Bundaberg. It is in a quiet, country area with lots of animals - a naughty sausage dog, cats, geese, guinea fowl and ducks. Wild kangaroos regularly feed in the paddock near our house. If you love animals, we are the place for you! Helpers would have their own bedroom, and a shared bathroom, toilet and lounge room. We are happy to provide all meals if you require, but ask that helpers help with either the meal preparation or the clean up afterwards. We have access to wireless internet and are able to pick up helpers from Bundaberg if they do not have their own transport. Due to the lack of public transport where we live, it is probably more suitable if you have your own transport if you wish to visit local attractions. We would like some assistance with the gardening, feeding/caring for the animals and housework as we are busy working. We would love some helpers before the end of August as we will be beginning our own overseas t...

** CURRENTLY BOOKED UNTIL SEPTEMBER ** Ben and I (Polly) live in the beautiful northern beaches suburb of Kewarra Beach, located a 25 minute drive north from the centre of Cairns, Far North Queensland. We live on a standard suburban block in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom simple home. We love our garden and specifically growing tropical fruits and vegetables - there is always something to pick and eat! We have bantam chickens who roam the yard by day. We are in our late 30s, are both full time workers, working from home, Monday to Friday. We travel a little for work so will need to work around those dates. We are after 1-2 helpxers at a time, ideally for a 1-2 week stay, to help us with our garden, painting the outside of our house (depending on your experience, the weather) and other general house items. On the weekends when we are not working we will be working along side you too. As it is hot we find working earlier in the morning or later in the day best for the outside jobs. ...

Hi. Booked now through to August 10th. We are an active couple in our early 50’s with 3 boys who’ve left home to study or work. We recently had 2 travellers reach out through a local group to stay a few days. They told us about this site so here we are. It was lovely to help them with their English & also learn some French. We have a lowset 4 bed, 2 bath home in a culdesac 7km from Cairns CBD & various attractions. There’s access to a fridge & pool table as well. Rod likes to ride his road bike every week, either to the cane farms south, around beaches in the north or up the mountain behind us. We love looking up at it from our back yard, & patios. We work full time but like to get out & about too whenever possible. The room includes queen bed, desk, & own bathroom. Ideally no longer than 5day stay. Not all days/dates always available. No smoking. We have a couple of living areas, a decent size home/yard & would like to keep it & gardens maintained, even though quite low maintenance ...

I'm updating my entry with availability as I've just had someone change their travel plans. These are the dates I have available: 15th July to 25th July,4th August to 13th August and then anytime from the 26th October onwards. Outside of these dates I am away or already have people booked to stay. There is always a variety of things to do,both inside and outside, including but not limited to gardening, tree pruning, processing the dried lavender and making lavender products. If it's raining we work inside.Over winter we like to thoroughly clean the house. The new website has been constructed but it is an ongoing project. We have sorted out alot of household items and are planning to put them on Marketplace and Gumtree so great if anyone wants to help with this. Also optional projects mentioned below. I have been hosting since 1994 and enjoy having people to stay from all over the world.I love hearing about every ones travel and life experiences and future plans.I have travelled alot in Au...

I have an opening for a volunteer person to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening, weeding & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties in COLLINSVILLE north Qld. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chooks. There will be horse riding/training that you can help me with , I do western ranch & trail training, so I prefer someone that has riding experience 😀🐎 And a good understanding of English would be great. Meals accommodation wifi are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting or doing craft we can do some painting ) Prefer 1 month stay, but shorter stays like 2 weeks are ok too. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town & the coast( and the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the Whitsundays !😊) but do live in a small tow...

We are a family of three, my wife and I and 18 year old son. We Live in Hobart and I travel to my studio in Cradoc most days to work. I am a practicing artist ( sculptor) operating a studio on 8 acres and I'm the process of setting up the garden and exchange artist in residence (listed on resartis) and helpx accommodation ( very basic). There is a little cottage on the property with a double bed and a wood heater/cook top. This is suitable for a couple or single person( one room) or shared small space. It has a lovely valley view and very cosy. The toilet and shower are a short walk away. It is more practical in summer and only for the brave in winter, as a lot of the time you are outdoors. We are looking for some one to live in the little cottage and work for minimum 10 hours a week. This really is only an accommadation type exchange hence only the 10 hours. It can be done all in a day or over a longer period- it's up to you. You will have to supply own food and prep - kitchen...

We are still searching for HelpX for the upcoming NSW school holidays from as soon as possible until Sunday 20th July 2026. Some of this time we plan to be away, so it would involve looking after our animals then, including our friendly dog :) I can provide HelpX exchange, nice indoor accommodation in a light filled room with a Queen bed, a weekly yoga class, English conversation and organic meals in exchange for 5 hours HelpX per day x 5 days per week. This includes a variety of tasks with 2-3 hours project work of your interest each weekday Mon - Thursday and Friday being cleaning day. Flexible timing as to when your hours are volunteered and have the weekends off to explore the beautiful area! My family moved to a riverside farm property several years ago. We live here with our rescue dog, chickens, geese, ducks and elderly cat! We are in the beginning stages of planning and implementing a small productive permaculture fruit, vegetable, tea and flower farm based upon a mix of ...

We are offering a home stay for anyone willing to work around the yard. Help needed includes primarily gardening as we live on acreage and the odd building project going on in the yard at the time as well as cutting trees, pruning and some odd jobs, in exchange for a accommodation, 4 hours a day would be fair, 4 days per week. The property is located 20 mins from Brisbane airport and an easy 25 minutes from Brisbane CBD as well as major shopping centres just 10 minutes away. And a easy commute to Surfers Paradise, the heart of the Gold Coast of just 50 minutes. We have space for two people. Accommodation will be living in your own cottage on the property. Free Wifi is also provided. If you are interested please contact me either on email or whatsapp. Hope to see you soon! :)

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...
