We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said, it can get very wet in summer and early autumn; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, in the orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two h...

The weather is beautiful year-round, and there is always something to see and do. We need help for the month of May 26! Welcome to our small family run Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful town of Denmark, in the south of Western Australia. Surrounded by magnificent trees and the beaches of the southern Ocean, there are many things to do, especially bushwalking, surfing and snorkelling. The town is 5km away, the nearest beach 2km. As all our three children have left and live their own lives elsewhere, it is just me, Anna, my husband Matt and our beautiful old dog Anuschka living here. We are from Germany originally and have been here for the past 26 years. We have always open doors and have hosted many backpackers over the years. You will be sleeping in our caravan in the garden which has its own undercover deck in front and a double bed. You will be having your meals with us in our comfy kitchen. We require help with maintenance around the house as well as special projects and some help with the B&B. We love to try out food prepared by you, if you like.

We live on a 5-acre property about 25 minutes from Broome, The property always has maintenance and gardening jobs depending on the season. We ask for 3-4 hours work a day in return for accommodation. There several cooking options including the basic indoor kitchen and BBQ outside. You can get the fire going and make your damper in the coals. Each year after Easter we establish a large food garden for all to share and need help with its upkeep. We are keen on permaculture principles and are eager to improve our skills. Other anticipated jobs include turning and conditioning compost, checking reticulation, digging, raking, weeding, re-potting plants, feeding animals, collecting horse manure, domestic duties, painting and general cleaning. Jobs are negotiated in line with experience and skills. It gets hot in Broome, so work is usually done early in the mornings or late afternoon when it is cooler. My home stay is part of Mia Mia community housing co-operative where we have a 2 acres of wonderful organic garden, located in beautiful Denmark. Because we are on the south coast we are close to several magnificent beaches, where surfing is available and we have forests of Kari trees and the Bibblumun track for bush walking. There is a lot of natural beauty here and much to see. We grow our veggies and fruit organically an we have a small orchid and 2 chook runs. We love having travellers and those who come always enjoy themselves. My own property is in need of some gardening help and some landscaping. Inside my house I have a comfy room available for one or two people, free Wifi connection and hearty food for breaky or dinner. I make a mean curry! I could use some domestic help inside my home because I'm usually pretty busy.

Cairns and the best beaches are only 40 minutes by car or bus and I can pick you up either in Cairns or at the airport if you do not have a car. I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. Yarrangobilly Caves and nearby thermal pools are about one hour away. Our beautiful site features a serene river, where you can go...

“Work is love made visible” …Kahlil Gibran If you understand the above quotation then you are the HELPER I want. Please, read EVERYTHING below before requesting hosting. I have only recently returned from a volunteer project in Fiji. Now I am renovating a very old miner's cottage on a half-acre in a cute rural village in central NSW. The Cottage is about 150 years old, built originally with timber that was milled on-site by hand. The original Cypress Pine slabs stand vertical. The cottage is being creatively renovated to display its history and highlight modern, country, lifestyle. The grounds are destined to be turned into organic food gardens and a native species garden. Room for you in-house or caravan. YOU could learn a lot about the Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building ...AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to HelpX with Donny. ABOUT DONNY: Donny is a real Aussie Character: He is a retired, alternative builder. He is also an event manager, writer, m...

We are a cattle and sheep farm. the work involved would be gardening, cooking, cleaning, some plumbing and carpentry, electrical work, fencing, stock work and odd jobs and some farm work. We often have orphan calves and lambs to care for. We dont expect you to be able to do all the jobs but if you can help with any of them that would be great. The property is located 5km from coastal crayfishing town of Dongara (350km north of Perth) with one of the best beaches in Australia. There is also fishing, snorkeling, surfing, walking tracks and other sightseeing attractions close by. Very comfortable quarters provided and access to heated swimming pool. We also have dogs, cats, birds, pigs and chooks. Because of the new rule we can no longer sign for 2nd year visa. Only helpers that can speak and understand English may apply.

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few.

Our family has recently moved onto a large rural property just outside of Gympie, Queensland, where we’ve just completed building our new home. We run cattle across 1300 acres and are excited to continue developing and improving our property. We are a busy, active family with four children aged 8–15 who attend school locally and are heavily involved in sports. As a family, we are passionate about motocross, equestrian activities, and football, and much of our time revolves around supporting the kids in their pursuits. Our location offers an incredible lifestyle opportunity. We are only 1–1.5 hours from Noosa Beach, the Sunshine Coast, and Fraser Island — with endless opportunities for beach trips, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors. The weather is beautiful year-round, and there is always something to see and do. We are seeking a reliable single person or couple to join us and assist with: • Basic farm duties : feeding animals, fencing etc • General house duties • Establishing ...

We have great references from many happy travellers... check them out!

We welcome you to join us on our beautiful 78-acre Organic Berry and Citrus Farm in Denmark, Western Australia. 🍃 Located just 3km from the town centre, with stunning views to Mount Lindesay and the Scotsdale hills, we have two adjoining farms that were once a commercial organic berry farm and citrus farm, which we are regenerating.

There is also fishing, snorkeling, surfing, walking tracks and other sightseeing attractions close by. Very comfortable quarters provided and access to heated swimming pool.

We are a family of four - Todd, Kate, Wimitja (19) and Kinyin (16). We are in the Adelaide Hills but only 20-25 minutes from the city center. Non smokers only. It's a happy spot here! It is such an amazing time of year here in Summer - it is all going on in the garden and in the bush! And the Fringe and Festival are soon to start! The hills are very beautiful. We are close to the city and a bus route but in the hills with koalas and kangaroos around... We have many projects on the go like woven fences from grape vines, drainage, pruning, path making, planting natives, building wicking beds, spring and summer planting, mulching, bush regen, painting and more. The hills are spectacular right now - gardening with a glorious view! We have been Wwoof hosting for many years now and really enjoy sharing life with people from all around the world. Stories, food, work, laughs and all that comes in between. We want to enjoy hosting you and we want you to enjoy being here! We have ju...

There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...
