Sorry no vacancies from middle of may until september( unless your a housesitter ???) PLEASE READ THE PROFILE AND REVIEWS BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE.. You dont need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife , to stay here. A nice , honest person is good enough This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies ,maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one farmer, 45 angus cattle, one dog,, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near KYOGLE, a quiet country town which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and ...

We are located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near markets, grocery stores and public transport (bus at front door!) as well as a local coffee strip. It's a fully self-contained cottage with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping and painting etc. It is on Wray Avenue, if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation. We also have a beach house south of Fremantle and you could have an opportunity to visit this also. 2 hours a day would be fine and although food is not provided shopping is handy. We are able to assist with finding budget accommodation and sometimes we have access to seasonal work opportunities in county WA. Cheers

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to cooking area and bathroom. It is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. Right now we need help building a studio. If you know how to handle tools it would be useful! Similarly any experience with elec or plumbing might assist. We average two or three hours a day from Monday to Friday and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) included. Alas we can’t be there to offer other meals during week. On weekends we ...

GROWING FOOD - BUILDING HABITAT - REWILDING Educating and investing in the good We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay. The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away, Byron is another 15 minutes from there. We have an edible forest garden on a permaculture design and are returning the rest of the land to rainforest. We have a large variety of native flora and fauna. Native birds, lizards, bees, frogs, wallabies and micro-bats thrive here. We have a waterfall from Nightcap NP, which has blue crayfish living there. When it is running, we can collect spring water. There has been significant landslips around us, which we are now replanting with hardy natives and indigenous fungi. Next to the house we have a made natural water hole with native frogs. Dragon flies dance around it in summer, surrounded by pawpaw, tamarillo, and Avocado trees and the inevitable weeds. We have a toadinator to attract local cane toads so we can catch and humanely kill. We are not aiming to...

Welcome Helpers, We have an opening for one female starting Sunday, April 29th, 2024. You'll be sharing the space with a French male. The next available slot is on May 29th for two females. However, please send a message to let us know if you're in the area, as helpers travel plans can change and there may be availability. Please don't text me, send a request via the Helpx platform. Our place is suitable for travellers who have been on the road for a while and are seeking a break from crowded backpacker accommodations. If you've just started your travels, living alone here may feel too isolated, and you might prefer to meet people in backpacker hostels, especially younger travellers. We are a family of four, and I manage my own Airbnb studio. Our place may appeal to you if you're looking for a sea change and some independent private space away from crowded and expensive backpacker accommodations. We expect helpers to contribute 2.5 hours of work daily. We're located just a 2-minu...

We have a vacancy from the 2nd April. Looking for some heavy lifting help in clearing some ponds. We are a small fish farm located on the Sunshine Coast of South East Queensland. We are just 45 minutes north of Brisbane and 50 minutes south of Noosa Heads. If you have heard of Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter, we are only 15 minutes away Australia Zoo and 20 minutes away from the closest surf beach. Your own transport will allow you more flexibility as we live in the middle of a forest but we are happy to get you to and from the closest transport if you require it and show you some of the local area when time permits. It is almost 10 years since we last participated in the Helpx program. We have formed many long term friendships with the helpers that have been generous enough to come and assist us in building our dream here on the farm. Once again we are looking to grow our dream in another direction now and hoping that some of you out there might be interested in coming and hav...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can help out that would be great. My photos are of local scenery and attractions such as the Railway station, Hume weir and there are a lot of c...

CLEANING, COOKING, GARDENING, PLAYING MUSIC, are all things that I appreciate assistance with. Hi, I live in Bundaberg city 5km from the post office, and enjoy having travellers stay here in return for help around the house and yard, gardening, mowing, housekeeping/cleaning, general maintenance, etc. on my 1000 square meter block. If you have special skills tell me or if cooking is your thing then you would be especially welcome. I love all kinds of ethnic food and can be flexible as to work and leisure hours. Please message me via helpx in advance, so that I may read your completed, up to date, detailed profile. Generally, I like to have guests for two or three weeks but longer stays are also possible. Solo or couples are very welcome. Unfortunately I cannot sign for 2nd year visa. Accommodation is in spare bedroom, also includes washing, use of bicycles, and other perks in return for 2 hours per day help. Helpers are to provide or share food costs. Are you looking to experience something a little bit different to the usual helpx stay/help experiences ? Firstly, and quite apart from normal Helpx help..., I am seeking someone to stay in my humble home and look after my young kelpie dog from mid July till early August while I am away for a couple of weeks. This person must be quite mature and responsible. I am also offering a very special place to stay and park your camper van(or similar) on my little slice of nature. Positioned beside a winter creek line and in a very unique position as it is tucked on the edge of a Karri forest...., populated by emu, kangaroo and lots of birds ? I have set-up several campsites amongst Peppermint and Karri trees for travellers to move into right away, and it is just a 5 minute drive along Caves Rd to Hamelin Bay, It is also right at the entrance to a tall forest National park with it's many dedicated walking and mountain bike trails. Margaret River is a 20 minute drive North, up the coast ...,...

The wet summer means we are a bit overwhelmed with garden chores, we'd love some help in taming the lush green. Over the past year we (Dona and Manning) have hosted a number of helpx willing workers over a longer term and enjoyed the experience immensely. We are looking for motivated, mature couple or friends who can share and exchange experiences and skills. We are happy to host helpxers without a vehicle but please be aware that there is no public transport close which means you can be a little isolated . We offer a self contained flat away from the main residence, which includes bathroom facilities, own laundry, and a basic kitchen. There is a Queen bedroom suite room and a second room with a single bed. The flat is fully furnished, has a TV, fridge, microwave, small oven, basic kitchen appliances, a large east facing deck, and off street parking. The property is around 4.5 acres situated an hour from Brisbane, in sunny south east Queensland. We are centrally located within 1 ho...

Hi Everyone Garlic harvest is finished. But its time to prepare ground and to plant the new crop of garlic! At the moment we are still harvesting vegetables and preserving and selling the excess at a local market.. Apples are in full swing and it is a very good year. Cheers! Hi HELPERS! Impressed! You must have had to do some digging to find our Host page as we are revamping it. YES, there is room for you as a long or short stay timeline is not a problem if all are happy! The revamp means that accommodation is in the main house and in the Pallet Palace about a hundred metres away. Cabe is a young guy (to us 30 is a young guy) who started a market garden on our property six years ago and it has mushroomed into a small village! He and mate Johnny are pulling up stakes as they have bought land! There is a communal kitchen, huts, greenhouses and a number of accommodation styles. We just finished painting out the Pallet Palace and it’s looking good. It’s a sustainable lifestye ...

We are lcurrently ooking for helpxers with practical experience for May and June as we work towards a garden wedding in our yard at the start of July, It usually works for us that your stay is around 7 - 10 days but this depends on the helper and how it goes and advance bookings. Currently needing help with cleaning, gardening, maintenance and painting. Let us know if you have anything else to offer, as we may be able to use your skills. The work is mainly outside. Mealtimes, sharing the day's news, and hearing your travel and life stories are highlights of our helpx experience. We would like you to also help cook the evening meal, we all take that in turns. We have a well-provisioned kitchen. We have one young adult child at home (sometimes) and my parents live next door and often join us for a meal. We may also ask you to help at my parents house. You must like dogs as we have 2 dogs (sometimes 3 as we also mind our daughter's dog at times) who need walking and one chicken. Our home...

Thanks for visiting our page.. I look forward to the possibility of hosting you :) My family has recently moved to a riverside farm property. We live here with chickens, geese, bunny rabbits, ducks and two cats! We are in the beginning stages of planning and implementing a small productive farm based upon a mix of permaculture, biodynamics, regenerative agriculture and land for wildlife. We live in a sub-tropical, unique area of regional NSW, on the East Coast, at Upper Orara which is close to Coffs Harbour and its beaches. We need some help with variety of projects, cleaning and cooking, also possibly some childcare. It is envisioned that you would like being a part of family life while you are here. At our new riverfront 1 acre home there are permaculture projects, art projects, painting projects, furniture up cycling projects, garden preparation and design etc. Bring your own skills and experience to the situation eg yoga classes, build a mud brick oven, mosaic project ...

MINIMUM STAY TWO WEEKS! -TWO WEEKS MINIMUM STAY! As our aim is to maintain a mix of nationalities so that everyone has a chance to practice their English. We have up to 4 HelpXers at a time. They become like a large family, it is unnecessarily disruptive if people only want a short stay. We are very close (10 mins) to several great Newcastle beaches. We are NOT a farm; we are city. Interesting Homestay situation. Large 6 bedroom house in the Newcastle suburb of Garden Suburb. Close to the famous Newcastle beaches and Hunter Valley wineries. The beaches are in easy access only about 15 Minutes away. We usually have 3 /4 HelpX - plus my two of my four sons, Zac 25yrs and Asa 23yrs so there is always plenty going on. We are looking for people who want a working holiday in the beautiful Hunter region of NSW. There is so much variety of things to do that we can generally find a niche for most skill sets. whether it is cooking, gardening, cleaning, painting or carpentry. We hav...

It is almost 10 years since we last participated in the Helpx program. We have formed many long term friendships with the helpers that have been generous enough to come and assist us in building our dream here on the farm. My house is a “TV Free Zone”, but...

This is a 60ha peaceful, forested property in southeast Queensland, 70km from Gympie or Maryborough. 10ha of rainforest bordering a freshwater creek and swimming hole with lungfish, platypus and turtles. We are located in overlapping environments (temperate/tropical, coastal/inland), creating a vast diversity of life in a variety of habitats. We are slowly building shelter (timber, solar powered cottage) and outbuildings, mixed orchard, veggie garden and food trails. We have now completed new visitor quarters. Our general philosophy is to rehabilitate forest and ecosystem while eking out an existence for ourselves. Work includes weeding, gardening, orchard care, bee keeping, building/construction, tree planting, propagation and forest management. Electricity is from a stand alone(off grid)solar power system. Outside toilet, shower and fire bath. 30km to nearest shop. Accommodation for 2 people in separate wwoofers quarters, caravan or BYO. Cooking is done on fire or in cob oven{wood-f...

Our home...
