My partner (Drew) and I (Maia) have a lovely home on 3 acres, on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands in Queensland (popular for its incredible climate, nature, waterfalls, swimming holes, lakes, tourist attractions, etc.) We are delighted that many wallabies live here too. 😍 Our average age is 63 (young at heart!) We have accumulated knowledge and wisdom that we are happy to share. Drew is a wonderful gardener and handyman. The home on the Sunshine Coast that he sold in 2023 had a brilliant, abundant garden/food forest that he created from a bare block. He's keen to create another magical, food-producing garden in Millstream too - chemical-free, of course. (There are 50 spray-free Bowen mango trees here already!) However, while he has done some things, there's a lot of other things to get sorted first as a higher priority. He is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. ...

The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. Opportunities for summer vineyard and winemaking work are available now, starting in January 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. DOES ANYONE LIKE THE COLD? Everyone thinks Tasmania is cold but as I write, it's 26 degrees here today and I am relaxing at the beach. I haven't been on this site for seven years. I used to have regular HelpXers and Woofers but then retired, and everything is pretty much done at home now. I travel a lot, still work one day a week but am basically retired. Live with my daughter who is rarely at home due to work. I am a City Host, 15 minutes walk to Hobart CBD, direct bus outside my house (into the city within 7 minutes) and a seven minute easy walk down to the local suburban shopping centre of Sandy Bay. I am close to the main route leading south to the famous Tasmanian wilderness area and directly beneath kunayni/ Mt Wellington, 20 minutes drive to the summit from my home. I am a seasoned traveller (lived/worked in Hong Kong for the past 13 years as an English teacher for the HK Education Dept) and so can help in language aquisition if required. I also spend several months of the...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Bushfire recovery and help around the property in exchange for self-contained accommodation - 88 days eligible Hi travellers, from the beautiful hills and valleys of the Murrindindi region, central Victoria. We are positioned in Fawcett, near the little town of Alexandra, approximately 2-2.5 hours north east of Melbourne and the airport. This is a hobby farm of approximately 400 acres. We have horses and ponies, alpacas, goats, sheep, geese, dogs and cats, and often a baby native animal orphan will also be in our care (usually kangaroos and wombats). Our sanctuary was affected by the Longwood bushfire in January 2026 and we are on the road to recovery. Luckily, we were able to save all the buildings, but the fencing, grazing land and some infrastructure has been impacted. This has set us back somewhat with the progress of our farm and house projects. We are in the process of completing construction and fit out of the main house on the property, a farm house with large decks overlook...

He is very practical and his talents are creative and diverse, like designing and building things, solar know-how and ingenious solutions to assorted challenges. ...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. I lo...
