Looking for a helping hand for a few days, help needed around our gardens and house/sheds etc. Our tropical property is located about 2 hours south of Cairns, 45 mins south of Innisfail and we can collect you from the bus in Wongaling if you do not have your own vehicle. My hubby and I are looking for someone, male or female, who enjoys the tropical outdoor life helping with work around the house and in the gardens. We would prefer someone who could stay for a minimum of 3/4 days. Around 4 to 5 hours work per day, mostly mornings from 7.30, in exchange for evening meals and accommodation. The village is a 15 min walk from here. Lots to do from here!!!great walking tracks, spot a cassowary possibly with his chick. It is an amazing beach, overlooking the Coral Sea. Our local IGA is in the next town and it would be no problem to take you shopping with us...come along for the drive. Your accommodation is separate to our house. You have a bedroom, fully self contained kitchen and ...

Looking for helpers preferably a couple or female. We have a project that we need help with. Nothing too complicated but plenty of it to do. We would love to have someone with building skills or at least a 'have a go attitude'. There may also be some meat packing to help with as well, anlways gardening and house chores and it’s baby season so we will need you to check the cows each day. We will teach you. :) We have a small beef farm in the Southern Forests of Western Australia between Perth and Albany nearer to the coast. We enjoy the cultural exchange with our Helpers and enjoy helping them improve their English. We have had many Helpers over the years. There is lots of beautiful spots to visit around the area. If you don’t have a car we can loan you one on your time off if you are confident to drive - for only short distances around the area. And we have two cute but sometimes annoying little dogs Tiny and Teddy! :D If you are honest, have a good sense of humour and have a ...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

Hi. So many well travelled and interesting helpers. I feel a little underdone as a host, as my home is humble and may be slow paced in comparison. Yet here it is. I am seeking mainly outdoor work at this time, weather permitting. This may include The clean up after my house build. Landscaping Painting I would love some happy help. If you don't have transport, that can be managed. I dont go out much socially except for a few friends on weekends but I do have a small boat from which I explore the local area and do a bit of fishing. The Coorong a favourite. I care for my elderly parents also and you will get plenty of time to yourself. For some it may be a bit too sedate a lifestyle. There may be heavy work at times but regulated to the skill and ability of the helper. Because of my age (65) I regulate to just a few hours of harder work a day. There is lighter work as well including gardening, house setup, painting, cabinet making, etc. Patience, honesty, trustworthiness and willingn...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Hi helpers l We are sammy and nick We have moved from our farm to a new place on the coorong in SA! The local town of Meningie! We have built a beautiful home on the lake. and have been hosting helpers for almost 8 years! Check our reviews The position we have currently would suit two helpers (a couple preferred). The position is a bee keepers assistant and you would be required to help with bee keeping tasks with Nick like extracting and labelling honey and also taking care of some light house chores and dog walking. If you have your own car that is preferred but not a dealbreaker. You must be able to drive a manual vehicle. It’s can be hot and sweaty work outdoors in the sun and you cannot be allergic to bees. It can also be very messy and sticky. We would provide you with a room in our home. It is a new build on the lakeside with our two dogs and Nick and myself. In between bee keeping tasks we would be appreciative if you can help with light cleaning tasks around the home when ...

Sometimes, it can be just one person staying or a group of people staying. This unique property is 115 acres, with breathtaking mountain and valley vista views and direct access to the Orara National Forest. We also have a beach house that we sometimes work on. It is a 27-minute drive from the property. Coffs town is about a 20-minute drive. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Hello Travellers, If you are looking for a friendly and nice place to stay, I hope you like mine. I am Denise and currently work part-time and am doing some basic home maintenance, painting, gardening etc., in my spare time and can use a bit of help. I also have an airbnb unit downstairs so some cleaning help and guest assistance is likely too. This means I also require you to be fully respectful and treat the guests with kind consideration. Mostly they keep to themselves but just being polite and keep the noise down is the key :) You would be sharing normal share house tasks like cooking and cleaning as well as the 4 hours work 5 days a week in exchange for food and board (Not necessarily Mon-Fri but whatever suits us both best) The home is set on the north side of the beautiful Mount Coolum. with tiny ocean glimpses through the trees. It is a healthy walking distance to the beach(10-15 mins) (not patrolled) and the beautiful Mount Coolum to climb which is very popular with loca...

I'm on the lookout for a strong male (or two), or a couple, for a few weeks or more. (Some have stayed for much longer). I'd love to have someone, anytime from now, to help me with general garden stuff, and bits and pieces of projects. Always something new to do here. No skills is fine, just a bit of strength and willingness, but some handy-man skills would be useful too. I also would sometimes love some help with a bit of house maintenance /cleaning and brush cutting etc. I live in a beautiful silent forest valley dwelling with about an acre of garden. It's a wildlife refuge abundant with bird and wild life. It's 7-8 mins from charming Mullumbimby with it's farmers and general markets and cafe culture. Stuff for young and older 25mins, from beautiful Byron Bay and 20 from Brunswick heads, so lots of beaches and surf etc Also lots of walks. I would like someone who can speak English as there will be lots of communication involved. It's definitely best to have a car. You'll have ...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely after its 4 year renovation build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The next adventure will be to turn this into a funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer and eagle.. See our Airbnb listing with over 60 photos via our website link: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1404048948970319721 Generally we look for HelpXers to help with the gardening, maintenance jobs and housekeeping. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so in those months we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) May 2026 onward...

Our current projects which we would love some help with, include getting the outside of the house ready for and painting, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got tr...

Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available and cannot add points for visa extension. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

We have only recently discovered HelpX. All our past experiences with backpackers and travellers have been via the Backpacker Job Board or Gumtree. We have two properties in Far North Queensland; please read the end of this listing carefully to determine which property currently needs assistance. We prefer couples, so please bear that in mind before sending a request. Our main residence is a 3000 m² property at Whitfield overlooking the city of Cairns; the listing photos here are for that property. The property has no lawns, only a well-established tropical garden. It is only a 12-minute drive from the centre of Cairns City itself, about a 25-minute bicycle ride. If you are staying at the Whitfield property, you will have a room with a queen bed. The home has a media room with all the popular streaming services: Netflix, Stan, Binge, etc. The home also has a lovely swimming pool and separate areas if you want some privacy during your stay. We also have a beach house located at Bra...

Take Note: I am looking for help from now, 18th Feb., '26 to the end of March - around 5 weeks. I was looking for helpers for our lambing programme - April - end of July but that position has been taken. Please Note: I have recently had a stroke - recovering very well but unable to be as involved as before - not yet, any way!!! We have just experienced an extremely challenging last twelve months, with three of our family members (one being myself) experiencing very difficult health issues. Our youngest daughter has had to undergo multiple surgeries since early September 2024, then in mid December our 2nd daughter broke her neck and is now wheelchair bound and I suffered a stroke in mid March this year. Needless to say we are all endeavoring to get back to as normal as possible, as soon as possible and for myself, having spent 3 and a half months in hospital recuperating, I am very pleased to be back on the farm. I do need help with some of the day to day chores are looking for folk w...

HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike.
