PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim in, There is a hammock i...

Hello from hosts Sean and Rosemary. We are conservationists and look after our environment, protecting the plants and animals. We will be welcoming helpers for another spring and summer season. We live on an off grid property in a solar passive designed house surrounded by World Heritage forests. There are plenty of good walks around us if you like walking and nature. There are native animals, possums and wallabies as well as the occasional platypus and echidna on our grasslands. No experience necessary. We always have a variety of jobs to do and we love preparing great food for both our selves and our helpers. If you are tired of living on instant noodles and would like some home cooked fresh food please contact us. We have a lovely room inside our house for you. We have had some great helpers this year and would welcome a few more. We have hosted helpers for many years and from countries around the world from Japan and China to Scandinavia and Canada. Aussies are also welcome of cour...

We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria and now the far south coast of NSW. We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach. The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. We are looking for people who want who are fit, strong and happy to work outdoors. Please bring suitable clothes, boots and hat. There may be occasional days working on our daughter's property, a simply gorgeous location in the Bega hinterland, with t...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. Currently I'm cruising and hanging around Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave island and reef sas weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or options to board from. I need to be on the Gold coast for mid March for a week and then we sail north to Whitsundays and further. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hours work each day in return for your own ensui...

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a friendly house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two FEMALE helpers (Due to the religious Haram restrictions of one of our residents I can't accommodate male helpers) for about a week or so from March 2026. Minimum stay three nights. Please inquire about available dates. Accommodation (for a single or two females) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. I have been unwell, have poor eyesight, am on a restricted diet and am often busy doing volunteer community work, so I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food. I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If this sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact me! Hel...

If you REALLY love dogs, cats and nature and are looking for a role that can lead to working your 88 days for visa sign off or a permanent paid role... We need a kind and fit person to start who would be happy to do all the jobs needed to keep our dogs healthy and happy. This includes a LOT of housekeeping, cleaning, feeding, laundry and dog washing. Your accommodation: you would share a modern two-bedroom home with our other helper (currently that’s Jordan from Germany). You would of course have dogs or cats sleeping on your bed too! This is a great experience for those who are fit and love dogs, cats, cleaning and organising and want to spend some time on a lovely property in a nice home full of dogs. Or you may want to gain the skills to volunteer at a rescue shelter, become a dog trainer, or maybe you might just want to know how to create a create a really great dog of your own. AVAILABILITY We have a place for ONE individual on 15th February 2026 and are booking helpers ...

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton Tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said it can get very wet in summer; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two helpers, in our beautiful ...

Our hext vacancy is likely to be in March. From then on we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. Right now I am renovating a 5m dinghy trailer and a 51 year-old, but still very strong 5m Clark brand, aluminium dinghy, fitting remote steering, centre console, etc. You would probably start your stay by helping with this. You need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year. Most of the work is outside but also based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop and in our vegetable garden just over 100 meters from the beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, ...

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to follow our “how to apply” instructions when reaching out and sending a message. This helps me get a better understanding of your experience and suitability for the role. We would be willing to host guests for 1-2 weeks only at this stage. Please do not apply unless you are physically fit, reasonably strong and happy to do manual work, or if you are a tradesperson or you have farm skills and experience. We are available to host guests from 20th February. We are delighted to welcome volunteers to our beautiful 5-acre property located just a 60-minute drive south from Perth CBD. As a professional couple who love our property and all the animals that call it home, including a horse, two dogs and four chickens (chooks) we're excited to share our little piece of paradise with you. Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens only 40 minutes from Hobart, and operate for only 3 days a week. A good plan for us is to help us about 24 hours over 4 or 5 days and use your spare days to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. Your Help can be in the restaurant, maybe some light chores in the garden or around the main house, things we can work out! I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences. Cheers, Mike.

I live a 2 minute walk from the beach, beautiful Dripstone Cliffs and Casuarina Coastal Reserve, with my two teenage children, Jack and Amy. The Reserve has many walking and bike tracks We love hosting people who are respectful, positive and interested in simple, natural lifestyles. We eat a healthy, simple and low sugar diet- rice, local vegetables, seasonal fruit, meat etc. I’m happy to accomodate any dietary requirements. I used to host a lot but haven't hosted for a while as we have been moving house and then reorganising our lives. We have made some wonderful friends through this program and having extra help has kept us sane when we are in town. The kind of help I would appreciate can be quite varied. I always appreciate help with general house stuff, i.e. cleaning, gardening, cooking etc. If you have a special skill let me know about it and I am happy to find some projects that could utilise your skill. We have had people help with carpentry, electrics, painting (both artist...

Hi there! I'm a 36 year old regenerative farmer near Daylesford about 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne and I've been farming here for just over 11 years now. Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of helping with the cows, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and lounging in the woodfired bath! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment is building a tiny house, a wood-fired hot tub, bio-gas digester, rocket stove and the list goes on! We have unlimited wifi here and will provide organic food for you to cook and also have some group dinners too. Accommodation is in a separate caravan that is perfect for couples. For more information and photos check out the website link above and if you're interested in helping out get in touch. Main projects at the moment are helping with the cattle, collecting firewood, farm tidying and ...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Please post photo of yourself. It is a lovely home atmosphere. Own room, double bed and couch. I have a large standard male black poodle who loves everyone. You must love dogs, and small female version of the bigger one. So two dogs. I adore them, as if you love dogs, they will love you back. Just need those who can handle normal life! I am older, but not a weakly older! Cooking, sharing experience and recipes, even better. The work here is garden maintenance, pruning and lawn mowing, weeding, and some cleaning in the home. Not much, just here and there. Please use your own initiative! If you see leaves, sweep them up. I have a blower so that’s easy too. If the bench is dirty wipe it. If there are dishes, rinse and put in the dishwasher. That type of thing. Like your own home. I am not a tidy freak. This is a home with dogs. Normal. If you have a car, there is off street safe parking for you. .Accommodation in return for garden maintenance and some...

The property is 5 acres outside of the iconic town of Clunes, about 1.5 hours from Melbourne. Clunes has a rich history as it was the first gold town in Victoria and has been home of the Dja Dja Wurrung people for thousands of years. We are a queer family with two young kids aged 2 and 6. We have been living in Clunes for one year and enjoying what country life offers. Marina is from Barcelona and has lived in Australia for more than 15 years. Vicki is originally from the UK and has lived in Australia for a long time. We enjoy learning about other cultures, meeting new people, nature amongst other things. One of the best things of living here is all the wildlife we get to see: kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, kookaburras, parrots, all sorts of birds.... The property is 5 acres and used to be a farm. It has fruit trees and a few paddocks surrounded by trees, including an old river red gum which is over 200 years old. It is a peaceful and beautiful place. Helpers stay in a comfortable,...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 6Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor cob pizza oven, chooks/ducks, two Rh...

Looking for a helping hand for a few days, help needed around our gardens and house/sheds etc. Our tropical property is located about 2 hours south of Cairns, 45 mins south of Innisfail and we can collect you from the bus in Wongaling if you do not have your own vehicle. My hubby and I are looking for someone, male or female, who enjoys the tropical outdoor life helping with work around the house and in the gardens. We would prefer someone who could stay for a minimum of 3/4 days. Around 4 to 5 hours work per day, mostly mornings from 7.30, in exchange for evening meals and accommodation. The village is a 15 min walk from here. Lots to do from here!!!great walking tracks, spot a cassowary possibly with his chick. It is an amazing beach, overlooking the Coral Sea. We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

*** Please… Only contact us if you are a couple (male/female), as there is only one queen-size bed available. *** HELLO lovely people!! ... and thank you for taking the time to visit our profile. We hope you will consider staying with us in our beautiful piece of paradise! Esperance is between Albany WA and Adelaide SA. Having your own vehicle is ideal for getting around. We have joined HelpX as much for learning about other people's culture as well as for the help around the property. We are on a selectively cleared block, within easy walking distance to town. Our property has organic/permaculture gardens and fruit trees scattered throughout. (We are grateful if you can help us with the upkeep of this!) We also have a few beehives in the Esperance region that we collect honey from. Our house and property is powered by solar panels, a wind turbine and a generator using biodiesel that we produce ourselves. We are truly eco as we are not connected to the grid! We enjoy hosting...

Come stay on a beautiful bush property! PLEASE NOTE: BECAUSE WE ARE 7.5 KM FROM THE NEAREST BUS STOP, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT. We are working towards a self sufficient organic lifestyle on a bush property 35 minutes from Hobart. One of us is a freelancer in the social services, one is a retired meteorologist, and one is a retired organic gardener. We are all very politically engaged and environmentally conscious, and our objective is to create a safe and nourishing space for both humans and native wildlife. We would love to have help with gardening, maintenance, painting, cleaning, etc. We prefer people with some gardening or building experience. In exchange, we can offer a lovely self-contained cottage with a comfortable lounge area, a double bed as well as two fold-out single beds if needed, full cooking facilities, bath and shower, and outdoor composting toilet. Because our schedules are complicated, we often will not be able to share evening meals with you, but will...

I enjoy helping visitors who come and help me here appreciate and learn about this land that is Australia.! If you choose to come and help me, I can introduce you to the things that I love about this area. I have lived and worked here on this land for 40+ years ! I can show visitor/helpers many places that other travellers would be very unlikely to find or see on their own and I can also provide important information that might assist you access local employment opportunities, I also know of many special Western Australian locations....., all around this large state ! I seek a couple of travellers to come and help me with some basic property maintenance..., this means raking up leaves into piles, collecting sticks and branches, weeding and watering my veggie patch. These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay. The weather is just perfect at the moment and all the usual Australian native animals are here and roam freely...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more.

We have joined HelpX as much for learning about other people's culture as well as for the help around the property. We are on a selectively cleared block, within easy walking distance to town.

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...
