Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

IMPORTANT: Please be sure to follow our “how to apply” instructions when reaching out and sending a message. This helps me get a better understanding of your experience and suitability for the role. We are available to host HelpX guests from the 2nd to the 20th January - looking at one week stays. Please note the work we need during this time is very physical and requires the use of shovel and / or spades to remove weeds from our paddocks. Please do not apply unless you are physically fit, reasonably strong and happy to do manual work. We are delighted to welcome volunteers to our beautiful 5-acre property located just a 60-minute drive south from Perth CBD. As a professional couple who love our property and all the animals that call it home, including a horse, two dogs and four chickens (chooks) we're excited to share our little piece of paradise with you. During your stay with us, you'll enjoy comfortable accommodation with a queen-size bed and free unlimited fast wifi. We're p...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you...

We have a property located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near the river , grocery stores and public transport as well as a local coffee strip. You would have the whole house self-contained with kitchen and bathroom. The helping exchange arrangement would be helping with repairs, landscaping, painting etc. Fremantle cottage is on quarry st if you want to check location. It would be useful if you have had some experience with painting and renovation as we are trying to bring a property in for a sale this year. it would suit someone who would like some peace and quiet because it lacks entertainment facilities such as stereos and TVs at the moment. We also have a beach house south of Fremantle and you could have an opportunity to stay there for trips to the islands, surfing and fishing. 2 hours a day would be fine and although food is not provided shopping is handy.

I welcome you to my little piece of paradise in a very beautiful and quiet valley. With lots of wildlife, horses, cows, chickens, 4 big dogs ,fresh running creek and lots of trees. I have hosted many people since 2012 but have only just now found my old account. It was the most wonderful experience and I helped many to stay in Australia as I have a tree farm. All my old helpX helpers have remained friends and we still keep in touch through Facebook. I have lived here for 15 years and my children have all left home and apart from all my animals it would be wonderful to invite people from all over the world. I can’t travel due to commitments so this would be the next best thing. I would love help with animals, gardening, mowing, slashing paddocks, tree and vegetable planting. Painting, building and anything else we might think of. I did start a cabin in a secluded spot and would love to continue building it so I can give people a little private place to stay. I’ve lived in France ...

Hi, Effie and family here 🥰 We live in Elands, NSW, just 2 km from the beautiful Ellenborough Falls. Our 17-acre property is surrounded by forest, wildlife, and plenty of rivers, creeks, and waterfalls—perfect in summer 😃💕🦋 We run a small animal sanctuary with fully rescued animals 🤎 Many have had tough lives, so a love for animals is essential. Accommodation You’ll stay in a large art-studio-style space there are art materials here and there as this was and still is used as my art studio on the occasion …with a loft, simple kitchen area, and an outdoor dry composting Loo we just had built…. the studio is a double garage and It’s a work in progress, and we’d love help making it more comfortable. Our property is surrounded by forests so there are native rats, possums snakes etc and sometimes you may get a visit if windows or doors are left open at night, we provide a fridge so people don’t live their food out in the open to attract wildlife. There is also spiders and other bugs...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Please post photo of yourself. It is a lovely home atmosphere. Own room, double bed and couch. I have a large standard male black poodle who loves everyone. You must love dogs, and small female version of the bigger one. So two dogs. I adore them, as if you love dogs, they will love you back. Just need those who can handle normal life! I am older, but not a weakly older! Cooking, sharing experience and recipes, even better. The work here is garden maintenance, pruning and lawn mowing, weeding, and some cleaning in the home. Not much, just here and there. Please use your own initiative! If you see leaves, sweep them up. I have a blower so that’s easy too. If the bench is dirty wipe it. If there are dishes, rinse and put in the dishwasher. That type of thing. Like your own home. I am not a tidy freak. This is a home with dogs. Normal. If you have a car, there is off street safe parking for you. .Accommodation in return for garden maintenance and some...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

Hi, we are looking for one or two keen, healthy helpers to work with us on a range of tasks. It is berry season and would be great to have some extra help🌻 We have a small berry orchard and vegetable gardens with roaming Guinea fowl, friendly kangaroos and our cute indoor house cats. This very peaceful rural property is located within a special coastal Karri forest and is just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand shallow beach. The weather is warming up now and the flies are starting to die out. We start work early here(7am) and that means helpers have from 9am to be free to play and/or relax !! I invite helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. This place is very special location" because it is 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual native animals roam freely over this land - Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, various reptile also so many birds are in abundance on this land. 2 helpers are moving on soon and I will need a couple of helpers to replace them. I am seeking at least 2 helpers(a couple) who are staying in their own camper van, or car with roof top tent or similar. I wil...

🏡 Stay in a Unique Wildlife Sanctuary near Currumbin Beach – Help with Gardening, House Projects & More I’m Deborah, and I live in a peaceful bushland home on the ridge in Elanora, on the beautiful Gold Coast (Southeast Queensland). The property is part of a koala sanctuary — wallabies regularly visit the backyard, and if you’re patient, you might spot a koala in the treetops. You’ll definitely hear them at night! Despite the natural setting, we’re only a 5-minute drive from Currumbin Beach and close to local shopping centres, bushwalks, weekend markets, and iconic surf spots. 🌿 About the Stay: I’ve recently moved back into my home and am still getting everything properly set up after a long and difficult few years dealing with insurance and rebuilding. The house is a work in progress — but a beautiful one — and helpers have always been welcome here. Sleeping arrangements currently include inflatable bedding, and there are still some basic household things being sorted out. Most gu...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week.

Normal. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. Most gu...

Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...
