Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. Small farm with. orchards, chickens ducks. Need helpers to assist with common garden tasks as owners getting older. Delicious meals could be available, otherwise stay in private self contained cabin with cooking facilities. Possible painting jobs also. My husband is mostly vegetarian (eats fish) gluten free and I am diabetic and have a low carb diet. We do have a self catering cabin but you would have to shop and do your own thing.

I am a retired secondary school teacher and I love gardening, singing and playing guitar, hiking, presenting on community radio and travelling. I live in a lovely historic cottage on a large block with a permanent creek a few minutes walk from the centre of Willunga in South Australia. Willunga is a small country town in a wine growing region and is famous for its cafes and Saturday morning Farmers Market. My home is about 45 mins south of Adelaide and a short drive to the beach. I can provide a room within my house for one or two people and delicious vegetarian meals in exchange for working with me on improving my organic garden.
