It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

I live in a Log cabin on one acre a short walk from the beach. It is a small town surrounded by beaches and at the start of the great barrier reef. There are 23 islands within 30 minutes boat ride. My cabin is large with a chilled atmosphere, heaps of music, a camp fire area and a bar outside as well as inside. Painting, general gardening, tree planting and housework is mostly required. Accommodation is in a comfortably caravan with double bed.. Our life style is pretty chilled which includes travel, bbq's, music, kitesurfing and fishing. Depending on what help I need,I would expect 3-4 hours per day for 3-4 days per week. I will provide breakfast, tea and coffee and help show you around this awesome part of Australia. Internet is available.

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

Two hours work each day per person (No work on Sundays). You can do extra hours one day to take a day off the following day if you like. You can hang out with me later if you want to learn more about everyday Australian language and culture or you can just go and do your own activities. Room and simple breakfast of toast, tea or coffee, I can show you where to find free bread and there is generally some rice or pasta you can use, occasionally some fruit and vegetables, or other food included but not guaranteed. Please note, there is no internet on at the house, I prefer to communicate with people face to face. I only have internet on my phone. There is a community centre just down the road where you can access the internet on week days. There's also a club in town that has free internet and is open until 4am 7 days a week. The only room currently available is the smaller double room upstairs. I currently have a lady with 2 children in the other 2 rooms downstairs. Ipswich is a love...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Congratulations you found us! We’re offering a helpx stay at our three-bedroom home in Crescent Head on the NSW Mid North Coast, a small coastal town known for its world-class surf, beautiful beaches, national parks, and relaxed pace of life. This is a quiet, outdoorsy place rather than a nightlife town, ideal if you enjoy nature, fresh air, surfing, and coastal living. We’re Katy and Jason, originally from London and Aussie citizens living in Mid North NSW Coast. Katy is a practising visual artist working across painting, textiles, and sculpture. Jason is a retired advertising photographer who enjoys practical problem-solving, music, and the outdoors. We’re organised, easygoing, and value clear communication, mutual respect, and work done properly. We’re currently improving the outdoor spaces around the house and are looking for a capable all-rounder to help with physical outdoor projects, gardening, basic carpentry, and general hands-on work. This suits someone practical who lik...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. I’ve taken over the Australian Hotel in Herberton and I’m looking for a helper or a couple to give me a hand to transform this place into something healthy and not alcohol related. If you're creative and don't mind painting and cleaning, there is an ensuite room for helpers who may be interested. Alternatively, travellers with a camper would be great, so they can stay in their own setup and in their time off explore and see some of the things you may wish to see around the area. I have a pool table and a dartboard, and soon to get the pinball machine up and running. Herberton is a small town. It's has a historic village and it was based on the discovery of tin, and the tin mining boom started here. Ideally, if you're vegetarian or vegan, it would be great. You could really help with some meals. I'll provide all the food and obviously accommodation. If you can come up with some really healthy meals in the commercial kitchen, that'd be really helpful for the team that's trying to get ...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Sometimes our adult children 30-38 visit amd 7 grandchildren under 6. Currently we only have chickens sadly our dogs and goat have passed. We also have a beach house we take our backpackers to. Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We are currently not looking for any helpers until some time in September 2026. It is a beautiful time of year then with perfect weather. It’s also a good time to buy/sell a vehicle if you need to as people are selling vehicles at the beginning of the dry season and at the end of the wet season. My husband, Dave and I live in a very popular Northern Beach suburb called Trinity Beach. It is about a15 minute walk to the beach where there are many cafes, restaurants, free barbecues, great walks etc. We are seeking strong, fit, able and happy helpers. We tend to vary the jobs to make it more interesting and we prefer to work earlier in the morning to mid morning then you have the rest of the day to discover the area. Start around 6am till 10am in Summer as the humidity and temperature is too high in middle of the day.(including a morning tea break). We are happy to co-ordinate your four hours a day so you have a full day off. A vehicle is helpful in Cairns to get around and we have a ca...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Our wonderful helpers from France have finally moved on - long after they originally intended as they loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wonthaggi and Inverloch so having a car is convenient but there...

Our pretty little farm is located 5 minutes from Sarina town in central QLD. We are 10 minutes from local beaches and close enough to Mackay which is a small regional city. We are also close to national parks that offer rainforest hiking and camping opportunities. We have 5 acres and are situated on the side of a mountain in beautiful bushland with lots of wildlife around. We are self-sufficient minded people and are enjoying the process of constantly learning new ideas and techniques of living happily and healthily on the land. We are a solar-powered, rainwater fed property and are conscious of reducing our carbon footprint. We have wicking vegie gardens, tropical fruit orchard and coffee trees galore. We also have poultry and wildlife to care for. We have built a small bedroom dwelling suitable for a couple or single. You will be sharing the main house bathroom and composting toilet facilities. We will lovingly provide all meals using our beautiful farm fresh produce and board for e...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

My rainforest home is located only a 5 minute walk to Kuranda village with our famous markets and only 3km to the mighty Barron Falls. There are numerous rainforest walks nearby. Cairns and the best beaches are only 40 minutes by car. Own vehicle preferred as the bus is limited as it is only twice a day! I travelled the world for 6 years and I now welcome guests from all countries to enjoy this beautiful place that I have called home for nearly 46 years. Non smokers only. Work is mainly outside in my large landscaped garden as well as maintaining the bank of a permanent creek which is my property's rear boundary. Alternatively, there is always some household chores and indoor painting to do when the weather is either too hot or raining outside. Old clothes available to work in if you don't want to use your good gear. In exchange for 4 hours per day (8am-noon unless previously agreed) you will have your own air-conditioned bedroom, healthy meals and free time to cool off in my large sw...

There is a mountain on my farm with lots of t...

We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound.

A family home at the end of a valley surrounded by rainforest located between Port Douglas and Mossman. Our children have left the nest and we now share our home with our pet furball 'puss puss', so hopefully you love cats. Perfectly located 15mins to the closest port to visit The Great Barrier Reef and 40 minutes drive to World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. This would be the perfect place to experience fauna and flora. Lots of birds visit our gardens, wallabies and dingos are sighted from time to time in the valley. The house is single storey and you would have your own queen size bedroom and bathroom overlooking our pool. We can offer van parking space too. We would love assistance with our garden, weeding, mulching, landscaping and veggie garden. My husband and I would love to share with you our beautiful surroundings.

Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...
