Hi, I live in Byron Bay and am looking for general help around the house, cleaning and gardening and small maintenance jobs. Accommodation provided is a studio separate from the house which sleeps 2, preferably a couple. The studio has a small bedroom and bathroom, kitchenette and sitting room. There’s also your own small deck outside where you can enjoy Byron’s beautiful weather. I am looking for 3-4 hours help each day per person in return for accommodation here in Byron. You will be responsible for your own meals. I am generally only looking for short term stays. General info - my house is a comfortable 20 - 25 minute walk to town and 15 -20 minute walk to Tallow beach and Clark’s beach. Byron Bay is a beautiful place to visit with many activities available locally - surfing, beach walks, bush walks, kayaking out amongst dolphins, whale watching in winter to name some plus many great places to eat! I’m happy to help show helpers around and to find their way. I don’t need he...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time. Not the place just to get a free room.for a while, but also not the place if you get bored easily You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Rang...

Hi, I am just editing my post to make it relevant. We are on the North Shore of Sydney at Turramurra, half an hour by fast train to the city about seven minutes walk from Turramurra station. . . My son in his 60's lives in the small unit in the garden and I live here in the house with my two dogs, Tilly and Tommy. Sadly my husband has recently passed away. We eat early about 6.30/7.00pm and the evenings are your own. Generally we work together for 4 hours each day from 8.30a.m. and I provide all your meals. Sometimes we work all one day and you have all the next day free which makes it easier for you if you want to go sightseeing. We have had wonderful couples staying with us this year, and over the past years since 2017 have met fabulous folk from all over the world. What I would also really love is some reasonably experienced help with handyman/building work, plus someone with painting experience. If you are a carpenter, builder,...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Helpers accommodation is in my small studio ( separate from the main house) it has a double bed. The bathroom is shared and in the main house. Over the years I have completed many building & garden projects with the help of many fabulous helpers from around the world! I’ve recently been travelling myself and now have returned home and there is much to be done in my garden & some home maintenance that I would appreciate assistance with. Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive. There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. I prefer you to have at least one Host reference OR if no reference then please write and let me...

My husband, Tony, and I offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, horse paddocks and some bush. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, very friendly family dogs and a swimming pool. Hi, I am Jacks and I own a small organic farm 2 hours from Adelaide in the Waikerie Surrounds area of the Riverland Region. I grow many different fruit trees, vegetables, flowers & herbs and create some wellness products on my property such as natural bath bombs, natural deodorants, smudge sticks, lip balms, beeswax candles and skin balms to name a few. I also grow & harvest seasonal veggies & fruits and cook or preserve the produce as much as possible. The 5-acre property has mostly native botanical gardens with large trees, many birds & wildlife and various garden areas including a "secret garden" with a contained fire pit and cooking pit. I am hosting willing helpers for usually 1-2 week stays to share the experience of working on a multi produce farm with a focus on planting, harvesting & utilizing edible flowers, herbs & foods. There is always plenty of jobs to do on the property including preparing for fire ban season - which means we can have some nice fires in winter, weedi...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit...

Hi you young and beautiful travelers, Bundaberg is a less known touristic town, with a mild climate, beautiful beaches and wonderful surroundings. It is also an agricultural country town with many backpackers hostels . With a bit of lack there might be opportunities for paid work on a farm. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. I am looking for people who would like to visit this promising coastal town and help with general house and backyard maintenance, around 4 -5 hours a day, 6 days a week. The person helping me will have a home away from home and a cosy room to rest in. I am hoping he/she will treat the place with respect and consideration, observing the few requirements related to the use of bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise, regretfully, we will have to part ways sooner then expected. A good home cooked meal and an occasional glass of wine is...

We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Hi guys Ideally looking for help this week (last week of March) Location: Quinns Rocks, Perth (Western Australia) Looking for a bit of help around the house for up to one week. The house is a couple hundred metres from the beach in Quinns Rocks. You’ll have full use of the house, with your own bedroom and bathroom, and there will be plenty of food available. I like to cook ☺️ The help needed is mostly general things around the house such as spring cleaning, small jobs and some basic maintenance on a boat and trailer. No specific experience is required — just attention to detail, common sense, and a willingness to help out. This would suit someone who wants to spend a few days near the beach while helping with a few practical tasks around the place I’m flexible in terms of when the help is done I just ask for 3.5 hours per day I have had lots of great Helpx experiences and love the concept

Dear Helpers NO AVAILABILITY UNTIL JUNE 2026 PLEASE NOTE My Accommodation has changed ( from previous Helper accommodation mentioned in helper reviews) as I currently have a housemate in my guest room.

My husband, Tony, and I offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for a couple or two friends (any genders) who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have family coming to stay and using the studio.) It is about 1 hour by car from Melbourne.
