My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components. I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 3-5 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest hourly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for 4-5 ho...

Hi Happy travellers, Thank you to all those who offered to help out in May. I now have helpers for now June and August. I will not be seeking anyone until October My home is a two story red cedar home, surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. Coochiemudlo is a quick 10 minute ferry trip from Victoria Point where buses can regularly take you in all directions. On the island we have a local bus which will pick you up or deliver you for a gold coin. I have an island car, a bike and a kayak. There will be some weeding, mowing and whipper snipping (weed cutting). I ask for 20 hours a week in return for accommodation and meals. There are also people on the island who are happy to pay you for work. Coochiemudlo is a beautiful island that I am sure you ...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Update: I'm quite keen on anyone with: - An interest in art and painting. I have an unfolding series of doors as a work of public art that could use time and attention with paint, adding colours and quotes/texts. - A desire to help bring the garden into order (weeding, clearing, dealing with plant growth) - CAD (computer aided drafting/design) experience in the short term, am particularly keen on finishing up an OpenSCAD model. and sticking to FOSS tools. - Patience and a desire to learn ... We live in an inner Hobartian suburb (3-4km from the CBD) on a 1/4 acre block in a 1930s weather board ex-farmhouse (now suburban dream house ;-). On top of work and raising a daughter and two sons, I'm trying to maintain a garden and house and can always use help. We are five: Bernd and Dani, with children Gypsy Anna (2003), Leon (2013) and Felix (2017). There are spare bikes for getting around, a few bus routes nearby and it's not a long walk into town (4km or 30-40mins) or the North Hobart c...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded by trees. I need help to clean my home as I am always busy doing other things or visiting my son interstate and the work is too much for me on my own. I haven't had a helper since last September so the place needs lots of cleaning. You have access to the kitchen and bathroom upstairs. There are a few outdoor sp...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

We have a 12 acre property full of natural bush rock, caves, flora and fauna. We are totally off-grid using solar power for energy needs. Due to full time employment and having limited free time, we have decided to ask for help to assist getting work done around the property. Outside Help: We need assistance to establish some landscaping, prepare firewood for winter. Completing outstanding incomplete projects! Inside Help: There are a few items that need repairing and or finishing from building our new home. We offer internet, meals, good company, short term only work is available. If you visit in winter the slow combustion fire will keep you warm. You will have your own room with a shared bathroom. Would prefer non smokers, definitely no drugs, alcohol okay. There are plenty of National Parks bush walks in our area and many spots along the Macdonald River to swim and relax. We look forward to welcoming you into our home and property and sharing stories and culture...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area.

Update: I'm quite keen on anyone with: - An interest in art and painting. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure.
