We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. This is a small property in a very nice area surrounded by native bush and gardens near Byron Bay in NSW, it is a 5 minute drive to New Brighton beach and 20 minutes drive to Byron Bay town. The property has some fruit trees and gardens and a small creek backing on to rainforest. I enjoy cooking clean and healthy food, and this is a peaceful and happy place to stay Wifi is available here, also fresh filtered rainwater to drink and often fresh citrus fruit. There are bedrooms with double and single beds, it is an ideal setup for travelers to do a help exchange.

We have the pleasure of living on 350+ acres of natural bush country in Brooweena, Queensland. The farm is well established, as most tree planting was done between 1996 and 2000, and the tree crops are well maintained and productive. We have a large established fruit and nut orchard, an olive grove, vegetable gardens, chickens, milking goats, bees, forestry for shelter and timber, and large dam for irrigation and swimming. I have updated my profile as my circumstances have changed. I need help around the property with weeds, garden and other maintenance jobs. I have 1 Wild born Pure Dingo and a big goofy dog I now live with my partner at Edith near Edith Falls. This is an amazing place to be. We live a sustainable lifestyle growing most of our food. Northern Plants Nursery has Barramundi to fertilize the plants. We live at the Billabong which attracts an abundance of birdlife and other wildlife. You can see Sugar Gliders, Possums, the rare Red Flying Fox ,several different kinds of King Fishers , ducks and the beautiful Blue winged Kookaburras live here. Your Accommodation will be basic but comfortable. Breakfast overlooking the Billabong is fantastic. You will learn lots about sustainable living and the local environment.
