I'm Julie and my partner Charles and we are an older (in age) couple living the dream and have a small slice of heaven in the Tweed Caldera surrounded by a lot of Australia's wildlife. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. We are both accepting of all and our mantra is 'Peace, Love and Understanding'. There are no rigid helping hours or conditions. Jobs are dependent on weather conditions and what needs to be done at that time and what helpers would like to get involved with. Julie is multi skilled and talented in lots of areas. Conversation is never dull! Charles was born in Scotland and lived in Canada before coming to Australia. He also has a wide range of interests and skills. You name it,...

This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

In our normal hosting experiences, no experience is necessary. However, if you have special such as pruning, landscape gardening, pool maintenance or floor tiling please let us know. Mostly, however, helpers do not have these skills and we host helpers who are willing to work in the garden doing such things as mulching, weeding, planting or helping with housework and usually, we accept requests close to when we need them. We live on 6000 sq meter block with a garden that needs a lot of work as well We live 10 minutes by car from Byron Bay in a house with beautiful vie...

We can accommodate stays of anything from a week to a couple of weeks/months - let us know what works for you. You are very welcome at our home as long as you have a negative RATS on the day you arrive as we have vulnerable family members. We are a friendly family interested in having a cultural exchange and supporting you during your stay. We basically need help in improving and maintaining the property, help needed would include gardening, painting and general housework. We were a busy couple with a great social life. We need help as we have long-term injuries after car accidents and a large part of our property was destroyed in the June storms in 2021. Sometimes our adult children 28-36 are home and 6 grandchildren under 5. We currently have 1 dog that does not come inside and have a huge yard (in case yo...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Welcome! We are Jacob & Fern. We live together with our 2 year old daughter on our small, off grid and very humble farmlet in Guildford, Central Victoria. Guildford is home to one of Victoria's largest river red gums. It is over 500 years old. It's a very small town with only a general store, primary school & pub, half way between Castlemaine & Daylesford. We have been on this land for 1 and a half years & have started using permaculture principals & design. So far, we have completed the fence line, (to keep the rabbits out) & joyously have begun some planting both in the food forest, cottage garden & in the veggie patch. We always have seeds growing in our tiny greenhouse. Fern has a background in florist & plant nursery work and has completed a PDC. Currently a full time Mama, her interest lie in walking softly on this earth, while the little one loves watching the abundant birdlife in our vast open skies! Jacob works as a gardener, is interested in spirituality, and enjoys strummin...

Let me be clear right from the start..., this is an exceptional and totally unique piece of the Australian landscape to stay within...., However you need to have the ability to stay in your own camper van (or similar) and feed yourself if you want to experience this location ! I provide a very nice camp site with water on tap, a campfire set up and an all over covering shelter tarp stretched between peppermint trees ! Plus there are sometimes extras..... ! For this I ask for help raking leave and picking up sticks - just 2 hours per nigh you stay here. Plus there Hello travellers..., winter is just around the corner of Australia...., BUT, it will be a very mild winter for this land hidden away in the sanctuary of the Boranup Forest. ! To stay here you will need to have your own camper van or similar...., BUT..., I can find local work for you now, especially if you have the skills of a landscape gardener ! If you come, stay and help here I can only provide an established camp site...
