Come stay on a beautiful bush property! PLEASE NOTE: BECAUSE WE ARE 7.5 KM FROM THE NEAREST BUS STOP, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT. We are working towards a self sufficient organic lifestyle on a bush property 35 minutes from Hobart. One of us is a freelancer in the social services, one is a retired meteorologist, and one is a retired organic gardener. We are all very politically engaged and environmentally conscious, and our objective is to create a safe and nourishing space for both humans and native wildlife. We would love to have help with gardening, maintenance, painting, cleaning, etc. We prefer people with some gardening or building experience. In exchange, we can offer a lovely self-contained cottage with a comfortable lounge area, a double bed as well as two fold-out single beds if needed, full cooking facilities, bath and shower, and outdoor composting toilet. Because our schedules are complicated, we often will not be able to share evening meals with you, but will...

If you choose to come and help me, I can introduce you to the things that I love about this area. I have lived and worked here on this land for 40+ years ! These beautiful bush acres are located within a coastal Karri forest and are just 6 km from Hamelin Bay. The weather is just perfect at the moment and all the usual Australian native animals are here and roam freely...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

This is a unique opportunity to live in a museum! I am the curator and caretaker of an historic homestead built between 1862-1880, located within extensive gardens. Part of the house now functions as a museum. The property is in a rural setting at Greenough - just off the Brand Hwy- 19 kms south of Geraldton and 400km north of Perth. This place can seem isolated if you do not have a car. However, I do have a bicycle available, and I take helpers into Geraldton at Least once a week, and to community events, as well as showing you local attractions. I have planted fruit trees and established an organic vegetable garden. Helpers must like animals as I have guinea pigs and 2 dogs. The property is close to isolated stretches of beach, bushland and other tourist attractions. Work includes gardening, cooking, cleaning, art projects, translating, helping keep the museum open, minor property maintenance, etc. Only have accommodation for one person at a time and prefer non-smoking helpers...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. We will be departing Gladstone late January then cruise out to Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave reef as weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or options to depart from. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hours work each day in return for your own ensuite cabin with all meals provided while aboard. The work you will perform is mostly helping to keep...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hello travellers! My daughter (19) and I both enjoy getting to know people from different countries. We like to get out and about spending time at the beach, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming or walking in the bush. We also love nature photography, such as capturing the aurora, bioluminescence, sunsets and funghi. So I am happy to show you some of what we have to offer in Tassie. In summer I am on holidays as I work as a teacher, and I do more outdoor activities. During term time we are not home much during work hours, so we seek people who are happy in their own company for part of the day. When we get home we usually head out for a walk on the beach with the dogs. On the weekends we like to spend time outdoors. I would like help with cooking, cleaning, gardening and dog walking, I also have a few repair jobs I would like help with and I would like to build a small shed, but I would only ask you to do this if you knew how. In the garden I am trying to increase the organic content in...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

We are a Chinese-Australian family based in Australia, currently looking for a young woman who enjoys exploring cooking and can help manage daily household cleaning and organisation. Beyond the work-exchange arrangement, additional payment can be discussed. If your English is not strong, that’s absolutely fine—you can practise spoken English with our high-achieving brother and sister at home and pick up plenty of authentic Aussie local expressions. We provide a large bedroom with a view and three meals a day. As the mum of the family, I take care of grocery shopping and driving. For newly arrived helpers, I can also drive you to set up the three essentials (bank account, phone plan, and TFN). In general, I handle matters outside the home, while you focus on household tasks...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Hi, I’m Annie :) Thanks for stopping by! Looking for help *** from now through February, 1 wk - 10 days work for a couple *** At the moment I'm looking for help with Spring cleaning in the house and garden work; mulching, light pruning, fertlising, tidying up garden and some indoor/ outdoor house work. Mostly this would be cleaning spider webs off gutters, garden maintenance and window/ blind cleaning, cleaning out pantry, kitchen cupboards, cleaning oven, etc. It would be useful is someone was confident with a drill and some very basic carpentry work, to hang some outdoor ornaments. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities.

Jobs to do : A: The apartment has a private, sunny, outdoor deck. If your professional skillset is plastering and house painting and you do this for a living, please be in touch. I am looking for an experienced house painter and plasterer who will prepare properly and do a great job as I am looking for an excellent finish. This job would probably suit someone or a couple who want to stay for a couple of weeks in comfortable accommodation in this fun part of the City. Depending on available time...
