NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a friendly house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two FEMALE helpers (Due to the religious Haram restrictions of one of our residents I can't accommodate male helpers) for about a week or so. Minimum stay three nights. Please inquire about available dates. Accommodation (for a single or two females) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. I have been unwell, have poor eyesight, am on a restricted diet and am often busy doing volunteer community work, so I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food. I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If this sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact me! Helpers assist me m...

Availability from 29th April. Preferably a female or couple. We have a project that we need help with. Nothing too complicated but plenty of it to do. We would love to have someone with building skills or at least a 'have a go attitude'. There is always gardening and house chores and we have a baby cow (calf) to feed. We have a small beef farm in the Southern Forests of Western Australia between Perth and Albany nearer to the coast. We enjoy the cultural exchange with our Helpers and enjoy helping them improve their English. We have had many Helpers over the years. There is lots of beautiful spots to visit around the area. If you don’t have a car we can loan you one on your time off if you are confident to drive - for only short distances around the area. And we have two cute but sometimes annoying little dogs Tiny and Teddy! :D If you are honest, have a good sense of humour and have a good work ethic then this could be the right experience for you. We are flexible and want this ...

We (Riley, Serene and Bood) enjoy living in harmony with nature and each other. This place is a beautiful property high in the hills above Cairns, that borders World Heritage rain forest wilderness on three sides, and enjoys breathtaking views over the Atherton tableland. There are permanent creeks, waterfalls, rock pools (for swimming) and a very pleasant climate, without the high humidity that the coast can experience (in summer). That said, it can get very wet in summer and early autumn; our wet season. Abundant wildlife including tree kangaroos, possums, platypus, cassowary and hundreds of other bird species. The property practices holistic management, organics and permaculture principles. Work is mostly gardening, in the orchard and household duties. Most happy to utilise your unique skills and gifts, where possible. We like to take turns cooking meals, encourage food literacy (from garden to plate), and greater awareness of self-sufficiency. Accommodation for one or two h...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

Hi! We are a family with three children aged 2, 4 and 6. We are on a large, riverside property about 12 minutes drive from Cairns city. The property has a swimming pool and beautiful views over the river and to the mountains. There are horse paddocks and a few animals (horses, cats, dog, chickens, ducks) on the property, as well as plenty of wildlife to see. The main tasks for helpers are cleaning & tidying of the house, gardening (lots!), pool maintenance, feeding animals, helping with food preparation/cooking and (if you happen to be a bit of an artist) there are a couple of painting jobs to be done as well. There is a bus stop nearby so you can easily access public transport and we also regularly go on family excursions where you are welcome to come along and we would love to show you the area. To be comfortable here, you can not have a fear of frogs, insects, geckos, spiders and other similar wildlife, as we very much live alongside these in this part of the world :) Strictly no s...

We are listed on HELPX because backpackers / travellers contacted us really wanting to do our camel treks but couldn't afford to pay for the experience. These travellers would tell us about helpx and encouraged us to list as hosts. Since 2014 we have hosted people from all over the world and it has been for the most part highly enjoyable. Our profile reflects our commitment to be as clear as possible about what we are offering, and what we expect. Unlike many other experiences you can choose whilst in Australia, being part of a camel trekking company is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You get what the paying guests come to experience, but more because you are allowed behind the scenes and have the chance to really get to know the camels. We accept more helpxer than most hosts so that tasks can be spread amongst numerous helping hands. As we are out on treks it's not possible to take time-out, we are travelling and on the move, however your time with us will be rewarding and satisfyi...

I am an aquatic ecologist who has fortunately been working out of our coastal rain-forest property for 35 years. Driven by strong curiosity, I have recently been developing long-term data sets on the animal life in the forest that surrounds our home, plus on tropical marine fish that are steadily increasing in numbers under the influence of climate change at the nearby very beautiful Seal Rocks area (for details click on my website link below). We have 20 acres with 2 acres cleared and the remainder moist tall forest and rainforest. It is on the coast 3 hrs drive north of Sydney (1.5km from Smiths Lake; 30km south of Forster) See my blog link below to glimpse the accommodation, typical work and fun. We have a 180 squ m vegetable garden at times needing attention which has been enclosed to keep out our friends the wallabies (pademelons), possums, parrots and native bush turkeys. Bush regeneration is another activity as well as assisting in ecological surveys of local rivers when t...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can send you more details when you enquire, including advi...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed ,skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for COUPLES or TWO people are open now. Opportunities for Autumn vineyard and maintenance work are available now, starting in April 2026. Couples with Visitor visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking) volunteers who wish to experience distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 74, David 84 and Sue 64, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 , lost th...

Hi, I live in Byron Bay and am looking for general help around the house, cleaning and gardening and small maintenance jobs. Accommodation provided is a studio separate from the house which sleeps 2, preferably a couple. The studio has a small bedroom and bathroom, kitchenette and sitting room. There’s also your own small deck outside where you can enjoy Byron’s beautiful weather. I am looking for 3-4 hours help each day per person in return for accommodation here in Byron. You will be responsible for your own meals. I am generally only looking for short term stays. General info - my house is a comfortable 20 - 25 minute walk to town and 15 -20 minute walk to Tallow beach and Clark’s beach. Byron Bay is a beautiful place to visit with many activities available locally - surfing, beach walks, bush walks, kayaking out amongst dolphins, whale watching in winter to name some plus many great places to eat! I’m happy to help show helpers around and to find their way. I don’t need he...

Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots...

Currently looking for help with building, gardens and general help, some fun projects, painting and garden. birdhouse making. We are a unique sheep farm set high overlooking the back of the Blue Mountains just a 3hr drive from Sydney. We often host weddings and filming for TV shows/Music video. We also build and collect large sculptures of all types and sometimes require help on the larger projects. This farm stay would suit someone who would like to experience another way of life for a few weeks or just a few days. So far we have welcomed backpackers from most parts of the world, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, USA, Japan, Ireland, England, Denmark and many more, you must like dogs and nature with swimming in summer and open fires in winter to relax. Most help is general yard work with some building and farm work. Backpackers or traveling Australians of any age are welcome to contact us. Plenty of parking for vans and cars also camping. You get your own cottage in the park. It is ...
