Update: I'm quite keen on anyone with: - An interest in art and painting. I have an unfolding series of doors as a work of public art that could use time and attention with paint, adding colours and quotes/texts. - A desire to help bring the garden into order (weeding, clearing, dealing with plant growth) - CAD (computer aided drafting/design) experience in the short term, am particularly keen on finishing up an OpenSCAD model. and sticking to FOSS tools. - Patience and a desire to learn ... We live in an inner Hobartian suburb (3-4km from the CBD) on a 1/4 acre block in a 1930s weather board ex-farmhouse (now suburban dream house ;-). On top of work and raising a daughter and two sons, I'm trying to maintain a garden and house and can always use help. We are five: Bernd and Dani, with children Gypsy Anna (2003), Leon (2013) and Felix (2017). There are spare bikes for getting around, a few bus routes nearby and it's not a long walk into town (4km or 30-40mins) or the North Hobart c...

Would like to learn and look after a vineyard and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. A large, spacious room with a double bed, attached to the house, has a private entrance. Applications for mature couples as applicants are now open. Opportunities for vineyard and maintenance work are available. Couples with Visitor Visas are also welcome. I want (NON-smoking and non-vaping) volunteers who wish to experience domestic, distillery, vineyard, and winemaking work. During the season, there are generally outdoor activities, such as winery and vine work, plus gardening if it is not raining o...

Want to help us at BRUNY ISLAND? Possibly this weekend, it's great weather! This would suit a couple or a group of friends wanting a short but fun adventure. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, and so much more. We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island which is roughly a 90 minute journey from Hobart. About 3 hours work per day include raking, watering, wood stacking etc - nothing difficult. We might even collect oysters by boat as the weather is good. Food & accommodation provided. Also Star-link WIFI. It’s our holiday house. The ferries depart every 30 minutes from Kettering. We live & work in Hobart so we usually stay at our house in Hobart. If you have any special skills like cooking, painting, etc tell me - but it’s fine if you don’t. . The house has 2 bedrooms, a cabin, & 3 caravans that also have multiple beds - so we can sleep LOTS of people if needed but sometimes we only need 2 people. We also have 2 swags if you prefer and plenty...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Per...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed(inside and out 🤣,) skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We are a busy family household with 3 teenagers (17/2x15), nestled into the slopes of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. We have a rambling old house with a large bush garden on three acres of bush (so lots of work). We back onto Wellington Park, with immediate access to bush walks, mountain biking, and nature. Our house is a fifteen-minute drive from the centre of Hobart and other service areas such as Sandy Bay or Kingston. Buses are available. Check the Metrotas website for timetables. Half our household is vegetarian (but not vegan, although vegan is fine). The others eat meat (flexibly). Food is multinational, and guests who like to cook are welcome. We have two crazy (but friendly) dogs, so guests who know not to leave doors open are appreciated. The room available is a comfortable downstairs room with its own outside access. All other facilities need to be shared. Our expectation is for 2–3 hours of light work in return for accommodation and food. Duties could include gardening, wood cutt...

Our Wildlife Park is a privately run business we’ve been building for 15 years, with our biggest growth happening just in the last two. We transformed the 40 acres land into an open-space park with a sanctuary area, fields and gardens, built largely by our own hands. Our park is home to a variety of Australian wildlife including some herd and farm animals, and is located along the famous Great Ocean Road - 15 minutes drive from the famous Twelve Apostles and on the outskirts of the beautiful Great Otway National Park. We have availability all year round with a range of projects and activities needed to be managed from animal caretaking, general park maintenance, gardening and building projects to enhance and make our park welcoming for both our animals and guests. We are looking for proactive, resilient and communal spirits who actively look for ways to help. You should be willing to get your hands dirty, show up with a good work ethics and bring a mature, responsible and honest attit...

We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). We operate a small husband and wife online plant nursery and in our free time we enjoy taking a wwoofer or 2 out on regular boating trips catching barramundi and reef fish, crocodile spotting, fishing and exploring the islands, snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef and Whale and Dolphin spotting, ... so we would prefer folks that have an interest in boating/fishing and happy to tie their own fishing knots and set the anchor and dont get sea-sick....The more enthusiastic you are to help preparing the boats and cleaning up after the trips the more enthusiastic we are to take you out.... and the boating when the weather suits is a reward for your hard work in helping us out....we prefer to host people for 2 weeks or longer and this will give the best chance of getting the full experience as well as making a meaningful contribution to our lives and property.. From mid- September we would particularly love to host one or 2 people to help out around the garden, plant nursery and farm/or...

Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

I would like to offer accommodation for up to a week (longer stays to be negotiated) and food in exchange for 3-4 hours work per day: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, minor repairs, cleaning and possibly pet-sitting my little dog. Helping times are very flexible. The room is airy and comfortable, with 2 single beds. The bathroom is shared with me. I am in need of an independent person who is a self-starter and can work unsupervised. Handyperson with cleaning and gardening skills and own transportation are essential. There is a bus stop nearby. I am a busy artist living in a funky, eclectic beach property on a quiet street. It is a 5-minute walk to an uncrowded, beautiful surf beach with many walking tracks. The property is 8km south of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations. Peregian Beach village is only 3km south, with great restaurants, boutique shopping, an IGA, and a patrolled beach. Brisbane is an hour and a half away...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tr...

Welcome to our yurt in the beautiful Blue Mountains We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young adults, one who is only here from time-to-time) with a dog and cat living on a beautiful bush block in Leura, Blue Mountains. The accommodation that we can offer is a funky yurt that is located about 30m from our home. There is no power or water in the yurt. The closest bathroom is 30m away in our workshop under the main house. There are 2 single beds (which can be combined if requested) and two comfy chairs in the yurt but it is spacious and has a private deck with gorgeous bush views. You must be able to walk up/down stairs without a railing to access the space. You will be welcome in our main home during the day and for access to power, the kitchen, internet but can retreat to your private space whenever you wish. We need assistance with painting, landscaping, gardening, and weeding in our yard and at our nearby rental property. Good cooks are always welcome. 3-4 hours of assistance...

There is a mountain on my ...

Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach.
