Updated: 31st January 2026 Hi we are an easy going small family of three. My pregnant wife and I plus a 4 year old. We also have 2 boarders and my wife's sister staying with us. Sister is away for a month and she has been filling the role of the extra hand that we need. We love Wholistic health, Swimming, Fishing, Bush walking, Bike riding and Camping. We don't get to do it as much as we used to because i am still doing some natural health protocols as I have recently recovered from cancer. Sometimes we have a camp fire/ bbq in the back yard (winter time). Our House has a large block with pets, organic gardens and we are having a go at aquaponics. We love to share our local life style and happy to meet new people and listen to others adventures too:) We are looking for one person primarily to help out with the weekly chores: help keep the house clean, Make juice, wash veggies (special process), feed the animals (Cat, and Chooks). I would like to freshen the house up as well so i...

Please check our availability first and read all that we have written :) Well-established Permaculture property with orchard, garden and animal systems located ten minutes from Noosa and seven minutes from (famous) Eumundi Markets. (But public transport VERY poor in this area - see note below) so your own car is a big plus! Dave is a past Permaculture Teacher and therefore only interested in working with people keen to increase their knowledge of Permaculture systems/Self sufficiency. We are a laid-back but hard working couple who enjoy the "good life" in all its simplicity. We practice regenerative agriculture (using our chickens) and focus on cover crops as well as adding micro-organisms to our soil. We are looking for a single person or happy couple, with practical skills and a focus on wanting to grow their own food/becoming self-sufficient, to assist with gardening, recycling nutrients by pruning then chipping by Dave and spreading mulch, DIY tasks, brushcutting and improvemen...

I am interested in hearing from suitable single female helpers that are able to stay around 3-4 weeks and can assist with care and maintenance of my sailing catamaran and home. My preference for female helpers is largely to do with the type of work you will perform and attention to detail that is required. When I have work that is better suited to males I will advertise as such….just not needed now. Currently I'm cruising and hanging around Great Keppel island and Lady Musgrave island and reef sas weather permits. I have no schedule at present but there will be plenty of places to visit and or options to board from. I need to be on the Gold coast for mid March for a week and then we sail north to Whitsundays and further. You will be an active, motivated person interested in marine life, reefs, turtles, fishing, snorkeling and the ocean as well as wanting to experience life on a comfortable sailing boat. I ask you to volunteer a few hours work each day in return for your own ensui...

I am looking for some animal lovers to look after my dog, Biddy, a gentle Labrador, from about February 6 for 10 days as the Helpx booked is not coming. So I would be needing you immediately. My home is a two story red cedar home, surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. Coochiemudlo is a quick 10 minute ferry trip from Victoria Point where buses can regularly take you in all directions. On the island we have a local bus which will pick you up or deliver you for a gold coin. I have an island car, a bike and a kayak. There will be some weeding, mowing and whipper snipping (weed cutting). I ask for 20 hours a week in return for accommodation and meals. There are also people on the island who are happy to pay you for work. Coochiemudlo is a beaut...

In late February or early March 2026, I would like to offer accommodation for up to a week (longer stays to be negotiated) and possibly food (to be negotiated) in exchange for 3-4 hours work per day: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, minor repairs, cleaning and possibly pet sitting my little dog. Helping times are very flexible. The room is airy and comfortable, with 2 single beds. The bathroom is shared with me. I am in need of an independent person who is a self-starter and can work unsupervised. Handyperson/ carpentry skills and own transportation essential, although there is a bus stop nearby. I live in a funky, eclectic beach property on a quiet street. It is a 5-minute walk to an uncrowded, beautiful surf beach with many walking tracks. The property is 8km south of Noosa, one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations. Peregian Beach village is only 3km south, with great restaurants, boutique shopping, an IGA, and a patrolled beach. Brisbane is an hour and...

Currently have helpers until March 2026* Minimum stay 4 weeks preferred. We are a small, family-run horse farm at the lower end of the Hunter Valley, NSW. We have a mix of retired racehorses and eventing horses, plus a handful of hairy ponies, and need help in feeding, grooming, and riding horses (for the right, experienced people only) and general property maintenance. This can include anything from painting jumps, picking up horse poo, building fences, clearing fallen trees, to clearing weeds and overgrown areas of bush! We might also ask for help with our active, imaginative, 10 year old daughter; but only if your imagination can match hers! Lyndel is a qualified riding instructor, specialising in Eventing, and teaches and trains people and their horses on our cross country course, show jumps, or grass and (floodlit) sand arenas. We have welcomed a number of travellers from all over the world, and offer excellent accomodation and full board in return for help with the horses, a...

I enjoy helping visitors who come and help me here appreciate and learn about this land that is Australia.! If you choose to come and help me, I can introduce you to the things that I love about this area. I have lived and worked here on this land for 40+ years ! We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

We are a group of friends who decided three years ago to restore a beautiful old village/motel in Jindabyne. We are looking for like minded individuals who are passionate about restoration/building and maintenance, love nature and have a good nature and willing to share a laugh over some good food. We have hosted people from all around the world, including all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. The motel is a 5-minute drive from local amenities such as supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a skate park. From June to September there are plenty of winter activities including skiing, tobogganing, and snowboarding at nearby ski resorts, just 30 minutes away. In summer, there are plenty of hikes, mountain biking, fishing, as well as the beach at Jindabyne Lake, Blue Lake and we are 30 minutes from the tallest mountain in Australia- Mount Koscioscko. We are a family who live on a lovely block on the outskirts of Mount Barker. I work long hours and need help with garden maintenance. We usually only need a few weeks of help at a time. We have beautiful private accommodation for you – a self-contained 1 bedroom cottage on our block which could suit up to 2 helpers (More if you are all travelling together and don't mind a fold out bed in the cottage lounge room). It has its own bathroom, kitchen and garden, so you get lots of space. I am happy to provide food for you to prepare yourselves and when I am home, can cook and share a meal with you. We ask that any guests do 3 hours per day (21 hours per week) of general garden maintenance and any extra jobs that need doing (such as painting etc) as needed. We are close to the township of Mount Barker, which has everything from shops, cafes, cinema, library and excellent public transport to the city or Adelaide. Helpers without a car can catch local buses easily and visit the beautiful...

HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike. Our current projects which we would love some help with, include getting the outside of the house ready for and painting, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got tr...

We are a welcoming family inviting volunteers to stay with us and experience the lifestyle and culture of rural Australia. To clarify from the outset: we do not own the cattle station. My husband is the station manager, and I am looking for helpers to assist me personally with the care of our horses, pets, and day-to-day household routines — not with station or cattle operations. This is a hands-on, immersive opportunity to enjoy country life, connect with animals, and be part of everyday outback living in a relaxed family environment. About Us & Daily Life A big part of your time here will involve helping me care for our horses and other animals — including feeding, grooming, and general animal care. Riding is available if you are capable, confident, and it is appropriate on the day, or if you would like to learn under supervision. Like any household, there are also light daily tasks that everyone pitches in with, such as tidying shared spaces or helping with routine animal feedi...

I have no room until mid March 2026. I live in Woolloongabba in Brisbane. I have a lovely Queenslander house, which I have been sharing with backpackers for the last one and a half years. I work as a computer trainer in a law firm. I enjoy the arts, which is why I live close to the Major art galleries at South Bank. I also enjoy cycling and a good walk. I have done lots of cycle touring through the UK and some through Europe. I have also enjoyed remote bushwalking in Australia with people who can navigate, as I can't! I am also looking at getting back into my dancing again. So what about the work I need assistance with. I am slowly working on bringing my house and garden back to its original state. It is a bit of work, I am trying to reuse and learn as much through my house renovation process as I can. Often I work with those helping as long as it is a weekend. You are welcome to complete the work during the week over a few days if that is best for you. I enjoy chatting and lea...

Our home is a large tropical-style house located just 2km back from the beautiful Palm Cove Esplanade and beach. Palm Cove is the most northern beach suburb of Cairns (about 30mins drive or 1hr bus ride). The house backs onto tropical state forest and enjoys a peaceful atmosphere with ocean views and plenty of fresh air with (animal and bird life all around. The house has large wide open spaces and a large tropical garden with a creek and has a small infinity-edge plunge pool overlooking the ocean, which helpers are welcome to enjoy — more for cooling off and relaxing than for swimming laps. Helpers are accommodated in large, modern private room with their own bathroom and walk in robe. Hi ! Great HelpX - you get the house mostly to yourself. We have availability coming up but you need a car as the property is on Bruny Island 90 minutes from Hobart - ideal for couples or friends that are practical. Easy jobs. BRUNY ISLAND has BEACHES, FORESTS, BIRDS, NATURE, BONFIRE 🔥 and or course BBQ ! We are located at Adventure Bay on the South of the island so you need to catch a ferry. 3-4 hours work per day. Food & accommodation provided. Also Star-link WIFI It’s our holiday house. The ferries depart every 30 minutes from Kettering. We live & work in Hobart so we usually stay at our house in Hobart mid week Monday-Friday so that means you will be staying at the Bruny Island house alone or with the other helpers. Currently there’s none. Ideally this would suit friends or a couple. If you have any special skills like cooking, painting, etc tell me - but it’s fine if you don’t. . We have 2 bedrooms, a cabin, & 3 caravans that also have multiple beds - so we can sleep...

I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of helping with the cows, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and lounging in the woodfired bath! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment is building a tiny house, a wood-fired hot tub, bio-gas digester, rocket stove and the list goes on! We have unlimited wifi here and will provide organic food for you to cook and also have some group dinners too. Accommodation is in a separate caravan that is perfect for couples. For more information and photos check out the website link above and if you're interested in helping out get in touch. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , .
