HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike. We are looking for help from 27 November - 15 December. Our current projects which we would love some help with, include getting the outside of the house ready for and painting, digging the vegetable garden, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Hello! We are a small and growing family nestled in the outskirts of Fremantle. Hannah, Rohann & Florence. Since the arrival of our most precious bundle we have been getting behind on some yard work and renovations. In exchange for accommodation we ask for three hours of help, which you can do at anytime through out the day, however morning is best before it gets too warm, which would be perfect to follow up with a dip in the ocean. We have one spare room, ideal for an individual but could make work for two. Local bus stops are within a ten minute walk and we have bikes that you are welcome to borrow to ride to the beach or town. We have two large dogs, so loving dogs is a must. Maximum stay is a week, there is no minimum stay. To give some idea on what we need help with: - weeding - painting - varnishing - sanding - digging holes for drainage - general cleaning

HI HELPERS!!! WELCOME TO JOHN`S FUN FACTORY!!! BULLETIN: I live in a beautiful isolated Tasmanian mountain valley surrounded by world heritage rain forest and some VERY TALL Trees!(but not as big as the Hinoki trees at AliShan in Taiwan!!) Most of my property is a nature reserve, but I have a 2 Hectare orchard, berry garden and vegetable garden which are all useless! The possums, wallabies and birds eat most of these (trees included!) so we live on ice cream and chocolate biscuits instead! Please come and help us eat the biscuits so I don`t get too fat! Oh, by the way, all the Wallabies are called "Skippy" and they don`t mind a bit of apple or banana occasionally. I have been a volunteer host for 18 years and I have had more than 1700(Yes!!!you read it correctly!) fabulous, lovely, wonderful volunteers stay with me. Many of them have come back for second, third…or even 10th visits!!!!! Work can be really diverse including tree planting, mowing grass, helping to install forest fire...

We welcome volunteers, preferably couples with their own car, to our peaceful 20-acre property just 45 minutes south of Perth’s CBD. We’re a professional couple who take pride in our land and the animals we care for – four horses, three ponies, an Angus steer, two dogs, a cat, and ten chickens. It’s a friendly, down-to-earth environment where helpers can enjoy country life and lend a hand with daily routines on the property You’ll have your own comfortable room in our home with a queen-size bed, unlimited fast WiFi, and all meals provided – breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In exchange, we ask for 4 hours of help per day, 5 days a week. The work is physical and hands-on, including property maintenance and land regeneration. A good level of fitness and practical skills in manual labour are essential. Experience in areas like carpentry, mechanics, or farm/horse work is strongly preferred – this is not a role suited to those without hands-on experience or a willingness to work hard outdoor...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to sit /relax , meditate or just ponder the world ....

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property...!!! I am located in the north of the East Coast of Tasmania. With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/ HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 25 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! As a wwoof host for 35 years, now I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...and of course "grumpy" , me now in my 82 + years..and please understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. The good cook mentioned in a lot of reviews has moved on . In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, now I am in the winter years of my life ...LOL..( YES, read the latest feedback carefully, "he says with a smile).. I love mus...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely now that its 4 year build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The place will get even more enjoyable and beautiful as we create this funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer.. See our Airbnb listing with over 60 photos via our website link below. Generally we look for Helpxers to help with the gardening and house cleaning. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) looking for a helper (or a couple ie sharing a room) for 8 December onwards for mainly hou...

Hello travellers ! Well that is the end of the rain(unless a cyclone comes down from the North - Joking !!)..., from now on it's going to be warm and getting warmer..., to HOT(Jan/Feb) This place is a "very special location" because it's very close to Hamelin Bay and right beside a tall forest National Park. All the usual native animals are free to roam over this land. Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, reptile and so many birds are in abundance on this land. And..., I need a couple of helpers who would like to stay and help me here..., and you will need to be in a camper van or similar..., I provide toilets and showers and there are some really nice and private 'set up' camp sites - for helpers with camper vans and cars with tents etc. This place is 20 minutes pleasant drive to Margaret River or 15 min drive to Augusta(ocean and Blackwood River). I ask for 2 hours easy work in exchange for helpers experiencing this special location !. The kind of help needed is....., weeding..., raking ...

ABSOLUTELY,No smoking or vaping on the property at all. No exceptions. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS GUIDELINE. I prefer to breathe clean air. NO SMELLY, PERFUMED SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, BODYWASH SUNSCREENS OR DEODORANTS PLEASE, I CAN SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES. How about heading south to the most beautiful part of Australia? Or if you are already in Tasmania, that's a bonus. We are always welcoming and love to show off our stunning island home. Work would involve getting the garden ready for planting this Spring and other various farm jobs. Nothing too hard or difficult. I'd like some help clearing and establishing some walking tracks through the forest on the property. I prefer people with experience in gardening and farm work. Looking for someone from now, through the next few weeks. When you first contact me [or any other host] it is very helpful to tell us what date you would like to arrive and leave. It helps us to co- ordinate things so as many people as ...

Enjoy amazing mountain views and a nature pool, while helping out in the garden in South Hobart. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Update: I am currently hosting some wonderful guests and no capacity for further hosting until at least mid-december, or perhaps january) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are a sharehouse with a live-in landlady (me), who has a chronic illness and can no longer do strenuous work in the garden, so I need some help! We have a productive orchard, veggie gardens and a giant frog pond (rewilded swimming pool) that brave souls can go for a dip in. There is also a sauna, and possibly the best view of kunanyi/mt Wellington in all of Hobart. We back onto bushland with lots of native wildlife, so you can go exploring right out the back gate. There are several housemates living here, one very friendly cuddly dog (who already loves you), a cat, 3 chickens, and one million frogs. This is my first time being a helpx host, but I have "wwoof...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Hi Everyone, we are a small farm with a seasonal restaurant and beautiful gardens, and would love some help to get ready for re-opening. We are only 40 minutes from Hobart... after losing everything to a bushfire some years ago, we started our gardens and restaurant to generate an income from the property.. Hours are flexible and like you to have time out to explore our region, which is truly amazing, I will help with transport when possible. I like to cook seafood and meat dishes, and whatever produce can sourced from the garden. Thanks for reading. I wish you well for your travels and HelpX experiences. Cheers, Mike.

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Miss Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spar bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had great experiences with travellers so far as Mars's former partner has been on HelpX for quite some time. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary ...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

We (my partner and I) have 2 bedrooms available in our 4 bedroom house, both rooms have queen size beds, microwave/kettle/fridge and a bathroom/toilet to share between these 2 rooms. One room has a slide door access to an outside deck. We have an old, friendly greyhound, several chickens and are trying to expand our garden area. We are very close to bushwalking and mountain bike tracks, the bus route into the city and are part of a lovely community of progressive families. The help we need mainly involves gardening, landscaping and painting jobs, mixed with social and cultural experiences such as the thriving local arts scene, live music (classical and contemporary) and experiencing the wonderful outdoor recreation activities available in and around the greater Hobart area. We are 15mins from Salamanca Market and the CBD and are in the foothills of Mount Wellington/kunanyi (30min drive to the summit).

We are on the main freeway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. Large luxury cedar and rock homestead on 100 acres. Lots of historic church features incorporated into the homestead and cute rustic outbuildings , antiques and artistic detail abound. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features.

Rural property (non-commercial) in forested mountainous region, in NSW Northern Rivers region , dam and local creek for summer cooling, and the famous (or infamous!) Lunatic Hotel at Drake Village. Aiming for environmental responsibility & economic independence, moving towards self-sufficiency using permaculture/ syntropic farming and organic methods, with poultry, geese, ducks, with worms, compost animal manure providing the fertilizer!! aiming for goats this year! Various projects depend on visitors skills, experience and comfort levels and of course the weather! Would like to construct a cob house, using mud-brick techniques e.g. a cob oven and fire pits, rocket stove, solar hot water, paint the grey water tank, the vegetable garden always needs attention, fruit trees planted and edible food forests extended / established, current projects completing the `Eco-Lodge`, kitchen renovation, and building a rocket stove powered hot room/sweat lodge and producing biochar in bulk.
