We have been hosting helpers for over 12 years, in Queensland, Victoria, and now the far south coast of NSW. We have recently moved from a 600 acre wilderness retreat to a house on a headland in Tathra, a wilderness of a different kind, with the sea in all its moods, and National Parks within easy reach.The headland walking track is literally across the road, and Tathra main beach is a 20 minute walk. We offer accommodation in a cosy bedroom with its own bathroom (also household laundry). The room has a sea view, and is private from the rest of the house. We share kitchen and living spaces, and generally share our meals together. The work required is 4-5 hours work a day, helping with gardening, landscaping and occasional building. Looking for anyone interested in helping on our 60ha/150 acre Certified Organic family farm. Accommodation is in an adjacent self-contained cottage so we can cater for small groups or couples. We are located 100 kms west of Cairns with buses from Cairns to Mareeba daily. On our farm we grow tea tree, limes, various vegetable crops and cattle.
