Hi! We are a family with three children aged 2, 4 and 6. We are on a large, riverside property about 12 minutes drive from Cairns city. The property has a swimming pool and beautiful views over the river and to the mountains. There are horse paddocks and a few animals (horses, cats, dog, chickens, ducks) on the property, as well as plenty of wildlife to see. The main tasks for helpers are cleaning & tidying of the house, gardening (lots!), pool maintenance, feeding animals, helping with food preparation/cooking and (if you happen to be a bit of an artist) there are a couple of painting jobs to be done as well. There is a bus stop nearby so you can easily access public transport and we also regularly go on family excursions where you are welcome to come along and we would love to show you the area. To be comfortable here, you can not have a fear of frogs, insects, geckos, spiders and other similar wildlife, as we very much live alongside these in this part of the world :) Strictly no...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Located 12 minutes the pristine beach’...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Ipswich is a lovely place in itself and is about an hours drive to Brisbane, about an hour to the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half to the Sunshine Coast or about an hour to the mountains in Toowoomba. Many visitors to Australia assume it will be hot here and in summer it is, in winter the temperature can be very cold. Make sure to pack some warm winter clothing if travelling in the winter months. I don't have fans or air conditioning so the temperature is what it is. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. Electricity has become too expensive for me to run appliances. I am not on a farm, it is a residential block in Ipswich. My house is small and cluttered and surrounded by trees. I need help to clean my home as I am always busy doing other things or visiting my son interstate and the work is too much for me on my own. I haven't had a helper since last September so the place needs lots of cleaning. You have access to the kitchen and bathroom upstairs. There are a few outdoor sp...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. Hello! If you’re a solo traveler looking for a peaceful, safe, nature filled place to stay, we’d really love to hear from you. We currently have availability from Monday 8th June, with short breaks from 17 to 22 June, and 14 to 19 July. We love welcoming curious, kind, nature loving helpers into our home and creating a safe, calm, and friendly environment — especially for solo travellers who appreciate comfort and respect. 🛠️ Your Role (Flexible & Supportive) We’d like you to help us in the mornings, five flexible half days a week, with tasks you can choose from, such as: • Gardening and caring for the property • Track b...

Hello, I’m David! I have sold my coffee shop after 45 years in the hospitality trade, where travelling workers would once work, however I STILL offer helpers the same excellent own room lodging as homestay & great food in exchange for a little light work and some social contact. I live close the train station and bus stop and am a 30 min trip by train to Melbourne City. There is a vehicle to drive locally if are appropriately licensed. You are welcome to use it. I go to the outback in western New South Wales about 3 times a year for the purpose of experiencing the beautiful "timeless land" of Australia and to legally hunt feral animals which endanger our wildlife. I often take workers to the outback so they can have a taste of the real Australia and I can assure that none of the numerous helpers/woofers I have taken over a many year period did not thoroughly enjoy it. . However the choice is theirs whether they accompany myself or whether they stay and "mind the house" I also oft...

...The Quiet Retreat, a Lifestyle Property , located on the north East Coast of Tasmania , St Marys. ...!! With only the help of many hard working wwoofer's/HelpX'ers , I started to build the house and clear the land here 26 years ago, so this place is a BIG BIG credit to all my helpers who worked here with me, enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..! These days instead of my helpers assisting me , I assist my helpers LOL , usually in the morning and than we try to cook a meal , please, understand that I am not a good cook, so help there is esp. welcome, vegetarian only. I feel that for the helpers who come here, maybe, apart from the usual work, self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music... In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Vipassana etc, I love music and most of the time there is music in the house. This is a Private Forest Reserve, 80 acre property, 7km from St M...

Hi Everyone We are a Mixed farming enterprise. We have Cattle and seasonal cropping. We have 2 resident working dogs and plenty of horses. The home and accommodation are on the Beach front in a small coastal town. The beach front home is only 100mts to the ocean so great for all beach activities out the front gate. There is Separate accommodation to main house with amenities. Work will involve travelling to the properties to help inspect livestock waters and wellbeing. Other jobs include feeding stock, gardening, shifting hay, loading hay so being able to drive a tractor is an advantage but not essential.. These work times are usually a short period and not every day. So there will be several days where you will be able to do your own thing . There are numerous scenic and tourist destinations close by. Robe, Mt Gambier, Blue Lake, Naracoorte caves just to name a few. Accommodation is a Modern furnished separate building to the main house allowing your own privacy. It has its o...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON. Need help with a garden clean up, at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one rough headed, skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town. It is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay, 2 hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. Also 6 chicken, so we always have fresh eggs. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown edible garden. We're about to get ducks in addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We like to work with fun and laughter and love to see you letting a bit of your craziness out. Be yourself and join the family... We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Please note that there's a minimum of 1 week stay, we do not like to be used as a pit...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. It looks like we are full until at least June but you are still welcomed to make inquiries about future dates. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop an...

We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

Hello! If you’re a solo traveler looking for a peaceful, safe, nature filled place to stay, we’d really love to hear from you. We currently have availability from Monday 8th June, with short breaks from 17 to 22 June, and 14 to 19 July. We pause hosting from November to March because the heat and humidity make outdoor work uncomfortable — focusing on the cooler months means your stay is far more enjoyable, relaxed, and productive. 🌱 Who We Are We’re Craig and Yvonne, easy going retirees in our sixties who’ve built our dream life on a forested acreage overlooking Wallis Lake and the Pacific Ocean.

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Starting 17th May. Please read the entire post before responding. Are you wanting to learn new skills? Work with cattle, chooks and horses in a beautiful landscape? As we are a working farm we prefer people who are interested in agriculture, it is nicer for you and us. Moderately good English is needed as we take safety seriously. We understand it is difficult to speak in another language and are happy to assist you to improve! Have fun, experience regenerative, biological agriculture and be part of enhancing the biodiversity of a patch of land, using organic, biodynamic, and biological techniques. A bit of house and garden renovation also. We ask for between 4 and 5 hours help per day. This can be very rewarding for the right people, there is something different every day! Staying here and helping us, will give you some farm experience and more confidence. You will learn heaps and your contribution is much appreciated. We are looking for a couple or two people travelling together f...
