The walls are made of earthbags, which is a natural building technique that anyone can learn. If you're not familiar with it, there's plenty of YouTube videos that can show you quickly how it's done, so you can get an idea. We are using mesh tubes (hyperadobe). i have been on couchsurfing network for years hosting many people.. and i think this HelpX network is a great idea. Actually i prefer it now. I am flexible with my time (especially during the week days) and love to hang out and make new friends.. In the summer I travel around Victoria and Australia a lot, going on road trips with friends and many music festivals -camping in the bush etc.. With great cafes overlooking the glorious main beach it is wondrous and relaxed port of call for any traveler. Guest will be able to help with gardening, cooking, cleaning etc. From time to time there will be maintenance jobs (painting, repairs). Preferably work in the morning and then free time after lunch. We operate a small family run market stall and working farm. We own many cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and 2 dogs. we farm many fruits and vegetables. We are best suited to accommodate a couple or 2 friends travelling together and wanting to stay for 2 weeks or more. Helper accommodation is very neat self contained studio style cottage, with your own King Bed, Lounge, kitchen, bathroom and meals area. We would welcome anyone with any handyman skills etc. General duties include caring for the animals, gardening, mowing, weeding, fence repairs, painting, wood splitting and other odd jobs. The work varies and may involve painting, building, maintenance, working in the paddock, gardening, planting, fencing and general work around the house and farm. We have fully self contained, clean and comfortable accommodation in Bangalow. The accommodation consists of two bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, veranda, bathroom and laundry.
