We live on ten acres in the Noosa hinterland on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Our home is 14km from Noosa, 11km from Noosaville; 10km from Coolum and Peregian Beach and Eumundi is 5km away. We live in a Queenslander house and our helpers have their own double room with a private access and their own bathroom. We have a nature reserve at the back of our house with many Australian native animals including Wallabies, with beautiful walking tracks to the beach. This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well.
