We are a family of five living in Fremantle. We have three kids aged 7, 4 and 2 so the house can be quite chaotic as you would imagine with three small children in a fairly small house. If you are comfortable with small kids and never being able to finish a conversation, then this may work for you! I am from Australia and my partner is Indonesian, and we have travelled a lot and recently settled here last year. We lived in Bali for 10 years, and we have done a lot of travelling around the world and have friends in many different countries. We love learning about new cultures, new languages and new cuisine! We also love hanging out together, cooking good food, going to the beach and we are involved with the local homeschooling community. Our house is non smoking, and we are fairly clean living. We are into being outside, being healthy and trying to have a minimal impact on the Earth. So if you are into healthy living and have a chill lifestyle, we may be a good fit. We have a small...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful rural property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely after its 4 year renovation build has just completed, and we are running it as holiday accommodation! The next adventure will be to turn this into a funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer and eagle.. See our Airbnb listing with over 60 photos via our website link: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1404048948970319721 Generally we look for HelpXers to help with the gardening, maintenance jobs and housekeeping. Across Nov/Dec/Jan it will be a lot of room cleaning/making up for our Airbnb setup, so in those months we need somebody who cleans to a high standard and ideally likes cleaning & housekeeping! The next specific needs are: a) May 2026 onward...

Just 10 minutes from Lismore and 5 mins from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, our elevated, 9 hectare property at Rock Valley, is also within easy reach of the Border Ranges National Park and the coast. The farm is our long-term project to improve local biodiversity, and supports a growing population of amazing native wildlife. We share an interest in landcare, creative arts and community with a network of nearby friends, experienced in bush regeneration and propagation. We are very grateful for any help but most of all love the opportunity to share others' skills and experience, and having time to get acquainted. The workload is variable depending on the weather and season, but generally fun, and usually followed by morning tea. Accommodation is a fully restored, air-conditioned cottage, located 50 metres from the main house.

AVAILABILITY we are currently taking a break... Hello! We’re Josie and Mel. We would love to share our quiet but playful home with you. We live in a welcoming and progressive neighbourhood in Hobart, Tasmania. It is our oasis from the crazy world. We are a queer couple: one a professional gardener (training to be a therapist) and one a teacher. We have many interests, are widely travelled and love meeting people. We are lucky to have the best of two worlds. Our house sits in the foothills of Mount Wellington with beautiful views surrounded by trees and bird song. We are also very close to bus services into the city, which is an 8-minute drive away. There’s a hammock on our deck and we have bush walking at our doorstep. We are regularly visited by wallabies, pademelons, cockatoos, ravens, honey eaters, and if lucky, a platypus in the creek. You are welcome to peruse our many books if you are interested in spirituality, environment, poetry and psychology. Our piano and guitars would w...

Hi, I am a 49 year old mum with my daughter (20) at home. We are looking for short term guests (1 week, negotiable after the first week) who require a place to stop over whilst travelling. We have 1 queen size bedroom available and look forward to meeting people from all around the world. Our current projects, which we would love some help with, include painting, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, and general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cosy private studio accommodation equipped with a TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours), leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got transpor...

We live on a 4 acre property, aiming for self-sufficiency. We grow all of our own eggs and meat (chickens, cattle, pigs, sheep), a large vegetable garden, and many fruit trees. We are almost completely organic, but not entirely. Tinker does a lot of preserving with our produce - fruit, vegetables, meat and eggs - using different preserving methods (pickling, pressure canning, water bathing, fermenting, dehydrating). In the winter we do charcuterie/salumi with our farm raised pigs. Ad makes home brew beer, and also likes making sausages, trying new recipes. We can teach you about these if it is possible during your stay. Let us know if you particularly want to learn something, as not everything is possible all year. Aside from our current projects there is always garden work (making and spreading mulch, weeding, animal care, fruit tree & vegie garden maintenance) as well as general household stuff. We eat very well (as much as you like) and if you like to cook, we have an extremely ...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Dear Helpers NO AVAILABILITY IN MARCH PLEASE NOTE My Accommodation has changed ( from previous Helper accommodation mentioned in helper reviews) as I currently have a housemate in my guest room. Helpers accommodation is in my small studio ( separate from the main house) it has a double bed. The bathroom is shared and in the main house. Over the years I have completed many building & garden projects with the help of many fabulous helpers from around the world! I’ve recently been travelling myself and now have returned home and there is much to be done in my garden & some home maintenance that I would appreciate assistance with. Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive. There is very little public transport so helpers with their own transport are preferred. I prefer you to have at least one Host reference OR if no reference then please write and let me know a...

There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. G'day! Seeking friendly couples or 2 friends, or solo female travellers to help us out with various jobs mostly in our 1 acre garden. You will have an upstairs room with queen bed with your own bathroom, and a 2nd lounge room right outside your upstairs room - it's almost like your own flat! You will enjoy elevated views of the local neighbourhood and our fabulous & colourful Aussie birds! We currently have 1 friendly flatmate who we barely see, and 3 cats, our home has 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and 3 bathrooms, a balcony and 2 patios, so plenty of room for everyone! We have room for you to park your vehicle if you have one, otherwise there is a local bus and we can give you a lift to the shops or bush walks sometimes. We will share some dinners with you, but...

Hi, I am a 49 year old mum with my daughter (20) at home. We are looking for short term guests (1 week, negotiable after the first week) who require a place to stop over whilst travelling. We have 1 queen size bedroom available and look forward to meeting people from all around the world. Although we don’t have any pets, after the loss of our beautiful Rottweiler, we also do dog sitting occasionally, so must not be allergic to dogs and be ok with all breeds being around when we look after them. You must be able to speak English, as we only speak English and the language barrier is awkward and hard to really get to know you :) We are generally looking for people to help out with all aspects of housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, small landscaping jobs, general tree maintenance, general outside home maintenance, pool cleaning and maybe some painting. 3-4 hours of work a day will be required, which must be completed in the mornings.

Bangalow is a small hinterland town ( around 2000 people) and my home is 15 minutes walk from cafes & the Post Office. Byron Bay is about 20 minutes drive.
