For over 20 years, we have hosted backpackers happy for a chance to take a break from travelling for a few months. We require 2 days’ work per week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Most of the work is either gardening: including raking, digging, mulching, weeding and removing dead or fallen branches; or housekeeping: spring cleaning the main Homestead, or washing windows, cleaning gutters or decobwebbing around our guest cottage. In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well.
