Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Where I live is Australia's best kept secret. I'm close to deserted beaches, the Snowy River, lakes and mountains. I live here with 2 horses and a miniature horse and the abundant wildlife that calls this place home. There are millions of hectares of State Forest, National Parks and Coastal Reserve. There is a huge State Forest just up the road. I am a long term vegetarian and preference will be given to vegetarians. I am well travelled. Very happy to accommodate gay people though I'm not gay myself. Accommodation is in a comfortable caravan. Every evening 50 or so kangaroos graze in my neighbour's paddock and that will be your view. It really is idyllic. This is a tranquil place. A Spiritual place. A place to come and rest and recharge your batteries. Lots of native birds and animals call my place home. Currently looking for someone with lots of experience riding and training horses as I have 2 horses and one hasn't been ridden yet (sorry, no Western riders). I als...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht.  I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay.  My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house i...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

Seven years ago, Tim and I moved to our little farm, and we've been busy ever since; growing a garden, planting trees, and learning how to care for the land. We joined Landcare to better understand the local trees and wildlife, especially the ones that need a bit of extra protection. Tim is a retired engineer and has a knack for designing and building, so he’s been having a great time working on the infrastructure around the property. As for me, I’m a creative arts teacher and public health practitioner. I still teach both online and on campus at an Australian university, balancing my work with farm life. One of my biggest passions here is my rose garden with 400 fragrant bushes, and I'm dreaming of making rose water and rose oil one day. We’ve also got a thriving organic fruit and veggie garden, with plenty of fruit trees and a mix of seasonal vegetables. Our dam is well stocked with yabbies, and we’re just a short stroll from the Murray River, perfect for a bit of fishing. I lo...

Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up. Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a large Vegie garden/orchard. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we are semi retired ] there is always something to do, however we have no paid employment available and cannot add points for visa extension. We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

This special rural property and is located within a coastal Karri forest. it is also just 6 km from Hamelin Bay - where friendly stingrays swim along a beautiful white sand beach. The weather is warm now and there are no flies. I ask I am seeking self contained helpers who are travelling in a camper van or similar to come and help here. I provide a great private camp site and access to clean toilets and showers in exchange for 12 hours work per week or 2 hours work per day. There are also some really nice and private 'set up' camp sites here. This is a special location because it is located 'away' from the hustle and crowds of Margaret River(20 min away) and it's only 15 min drive to Augusta and the mouth of the Blackwood river. All the usual Australian native animals roam freely over this land - Kangaroo, Emu, Possum, various reptile also so many birds are in abundance on this land. We are currently not looking for any help until sometime in March 2026. This is a good month to come to Cairns if you are seeking work because the hospitality industry starts employing people about 1/2 weeks before Easter starts for our tourist season that runs from May – October. It’s also a good time to buy/sell a vehicle if you need to as people are selling vehicles at the beginning of the dry season and at the end of the wet season. My husband, Dave and I live in a very popular Northern Beach suburb called Trinity Beach. It is about a15 minute walk to the beach where there are many cafes, restaurants, free barbecues, great walks etc. We are seeking strong, fit, able and happy helpers. We tend to vary the jobs to make it more interesting and we prefer to work earlier in the morning to mid morning then you have the rest of the day to discover the area. Start around 6am till 10am in Summer as the humidity and temperature is too high in middle of the day.(including a morning tea brea...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

We live in a fun share house in Maryborough, Marry Poppins Town, with awesome meals and a big edible garden. We're Mars, the owner of the property and Tracy, a former theatre/restaurant owner who's cooking the most awesome meals and looking after everyone like a mum. There're 2 adorable dogs in the family, so you must be a dog lover. We need help with building and creating, and with an awesome but overgrown garden. In addition, we're about to put 12v solar power into the rooms, also natural air-conditioning and are finishing up the spa bath in the 2nd bathroom... so there's a bit for you to learn and lots of knowledge to take home. We have had awesome experiences with travellers so far 😃. Maryborough is only 30 minutes away from Hervey Bay with beautiful beaches overlooking Frazer Island. Maryborough is a beautiful old heritage town with a lot of old buildings and parks all around. We're just a few metres away from the Mary River, at a quite place and only 1.5 km from town. There'...

Home in East Fremantle a short walk to the river, and a short drive to the beaches. Your private space in the house is a lovely area and includes bedroom, fancy ensuite, and your own lounge area. (And use of the communal areas of course!) The house is near George Street’s cute cafes, restaurants and bars, with more pubs down by the river - all walking distance, and a bus / bike / longer walk into Fremantle. I can offer lovely accommodation in exchange for some manual help around the house. The main jobs are painting inside the house (previous experience required), staining furniture, painting outside, gardening and weeding, and general cleaning. Would best suit dog lovers and depending on dates involve dog sitting. Because the standard of accommodation is higher I ask for 16 hours per week work.

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. *Update -Spring 2025. September-November We need helpers as soon as possible for a big clean up to help prepare for a big event here in November. **Please note- We prefer to welcome helpers straight away-e.g available now or in the next few days. taking bookings for weeks or months ahead has never worked for us as we buy the extra food and supplies and too many people have cancelled because plans change when travelling. We generally don't take "bookings" for anything longer than one week or so away. We currently have a lot of projects on at the moment so there is a wide selection of tasks to choose from. Work includes gardening projects, feeding chickens, mowing, brush cutting, household chores and upgrading the chicken pen and organising work spaces. **Accommodation is either in a detached house in the forest (up a steep hill from the main house) There are two separate bedrooms up there and our 18 year old son sleeps in one bedroom and you will have the other bedroom. Hi, I’m Annie :) Thanks for stopping by! Looking for help *** from now through January, 1 wk - 10 days work for a couple *** At the moment I'm looking for help with Spring cleaning in the house and garden work; mulching, light pruning, fertlising, tidying up garden and some indoor/ outdoor house work. Mostly this would be cleaning spider webs off gutters, garden maintenance and window/ blind cleaning, cleaning out pantry, kitchen cupboards, cleaning oven, etc. It would be useful is someone was confident with a drill and some very basic carpentry work, to hang some outdoor ornaments. I'm sorry but I can't help with 2nd Year Work Visas. I usually invite Helpers for 1 week and see how it goes. Own vehicle required. My home is in Dunsborough, part of the famous Margaret River Wine region in the South-West of Western Australia. Dunsborough is a beautiful, quiet coastal town, with great facilities. Nearby are wild oceans and awesome surf, sleepy bays, beautiful wineries and restaura...

Hello, We are Jen and David and our tropical home and garden needs some work. We live walking distance to the beach and nature reserve in a quiet suburb. We are currently looking for a couple with practical experience. It usually works for us that your stay is around 7 - 10 days but this depends on the helper and how it goes for everyone and any advance bookings we may have. Currently needing help with cleaning, gardening, maintenance and painting. Let us know if you have anything else to offer, as we may be able to use your skills. Mealtimes, sharing the day's news, and hearing your travel and life stories are highlights of our Helpx experience. We would like you to also help cook the evening meal, we all take that in turns. We have a well-provisioned kitchen. My parents live next door and often join us for a meal. We may also ask you to help at my parents' house. You must like dogs as we have 2 dogs and three chickens. Our home is within walking distance to Casuarina Beach and its am...

The kind of help needed is....., weeding, raking cut grass and leaves, collecting bark, sticks and s...

If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle. NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. Please message us through this platform to allow us to view your profile The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level.

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We want to show you how to be comfortable in nature; to re-learn how to be a part of nature rather than apart from nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. Some of the options include building our bushfire resilience and working on maintaining and invigorating ou...

Or you...

ABOUT US We are a busy family of 5 living in a small village called Wee Jasper - 45 minutes from Yass, 1.5 hours from Canberra and 4 hours from Sydney. We are looking for dynamic, self motivated people to come and help our family. Because we are so busy we really are only looking for people who have lots of initiative and who can work independently. If you don't have a vehicle we can pick you up from Yass train station or bus stop. Bridge travels to Yass for work 4 days a week, so you can hitch a ride to town during the week THINGS TO DO - Local attractions include a distillery, a lime stone cave tour and caving, 4WD Activites, photography, fossil finding, swimming, bike...

Looking for a couple or singles for general cleaning and assistance with renovation of my dual apartment complex I am looking to gut one of the units, renovate 2 bathrooms so lots of different types of work avaialle getting the unit ready for the builder. In addition, basic cleaning, gardening and minor maintenance work in exchange for a stay in a 2.2 million dollar house with views to die for. Folks always are amazed at the quality of the units which are located on the top of Bowen Hills 2km from the city, 300 metres from the train station, 200 metres for Gaswork shopping complex, 250 metres from Aldi. My arrangement is usually 5 days of working per week (weekend or flexible days off), 4 hours of work per day per person, in exchnage for accommodation and general basic food (no alcohol/no takeaway), with reimbursement of receipts. The timing of the work can be flexible but if it is noisy it needs to be done between 9 am and 5 pm. Usually: looking for a labourer, tradie/handy perso...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...
