Our property is situated in the beautiful Bellinger Valley, 10 minutes from Bellingen. Bellingen is a small, but vibrant community of environmentalists, conservationists, artists, musicians, and dairy farming, situated 30 minutes south of Coffs Harbour, on the NSW mid-north coast. Coffs Harbour is on the coast, half-way between Sydney and Brisbane. We are 5 minutes from the Bellinger River, 15 minutes drive from beautiful deserted surf beaches and 30 minutes from world heritage rainforests and the Dorrigo Plateau. We are a gay couple, and our property is frequently visited by local wildlife: wallabies, bandicoots, reptiles and frogs, and many species of native birds. We have a large dam on the property which is home for a few native ducks, and thousands of frogs. Our 3-bedroom house is open and airy, with large, sunny outdoor decks and beautiful views of trees and rolling hills, and it`s peaceful and quiet. We have kayaks for the river, bicycles for exploring the local area and a swim...

I have a house with a 0.25ha garden that is part of a larger community . We are about 10 mins drive, or an easy hitch, from Byron Bay (and all its tourist attractions); Brunswick or Mullumbimby and 2 mins from the beach. I`m always glad of help with my 1/4 ha - projects like building the vegie garden; trimming back the ever enroaching bush, or projects around the house. The arrangement is 2 hours in exchange for accommodation (14 hours a week), looking after your own food but sharing our kitchen. Gondwana, the larger community that Lotus Ponds is part of, is about 50 people with a community house and hall with weekly community dinner and meditations, yoga, table tennis & pool tables with levels of activity that depend on who is here. The people living here change more often than I update this ! But typically are inspired by some combination of Dance (5Rhythms, Open-Floor, Contact); Permaculture; Surfing; Osho; Personal Growth; Cooking; Music and Nature; in the rest of Gondwana ...

I'm Julie and my partner Charles and we are an older (in age) couple living the dream and have a small slice of heaven in the Tweed Caldera surrounded by a lot of Australia's wildlife. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. We are both accepting of all and our mantra is 'Peace, Love and Understanding'. There are no rigid helping hours or conditions. Jobs are dependent on weather conditions and what needs to be done at that time and what helpers would like to get involved with. Julie is multi skilled and talented in lots of areas. Conversation is never dull! Charles was born in Scotland and lived in Canada before coming to Australia. He also has a wide range of interests and skills. You name it,...

On the 25th of August Lydia is going to visit her family, who she hasn't seen for 35 years, for 2 months. That leaves Alan on his own for 2 months and he would dearly love some company and assistance. If 1 or 2 of you lovely people would like to keep him company, please let us know. In addition to everything else, I would love someone who knows how to use Light Room and or Photoshop and would be happy to teach me. Hey good people, we would love 1 or 2 people to come and give us a hand. We are Alan and Lydia, a middle-aged couple being as self-sufficient as we can be. Solar power, rainwater, organic gardens, chickens, quail, 8 bee hives, 2 friendly dogs. The cooler weather is here and it's time to start getting things done. Like gardening, building more chicken pens, harvesting honey, some fencing (not much) hanging a couple of gates and just general everyday things that keep it all ticking over. We don't have any close neighbors, the closest is 1 km away, so it is quiet and peaceful,...

One helper for 7 to 10 days or a couple traveling together for 5 to 10 days August 2025 I am retired and reside on a property situated in the Noosa Hinterlands I have two daughters who live close and two granddaughters who I love to spoil. I also have a large dog who is turning four years old and enjoys nothing more than her afternoon walks around the property followed by playtime and then food. The helpers must not be afraid of an extra large dog, she is contained but enjoys interaction with others. Volunteers would experience the joy associated with living on a small acreage property of 28 acres in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and also experience the peace and tranquility that small acreage living has to offer. Volunteer help for 4 hours per day each person which would including but not limited to gardening, pruning and mulching also some housework and assisting with home cooked Australian meals in exchange for accommodation with own private bedroom with queen bed and own bathroo...

After 25 years of doing this I've decided to limit the people I will accept. Potential helpers must have comprehensive knowledge of what they are doing. No first timers. I no longer have the patience to train people. I think it's a bit of 'grumpy old man syndrome'. ABSOLUTELY,No smoking or vaping on the property at all. No exceptions. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS GUIDELINE. I prefer to breathe clean air. NO SMELLY, PERFUMED SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, BODYWASH SUNSCREENS OR DEODORANTS PLEASE, I CAN SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES. How about heading south to the most beautiful part of Australia? Or if you are already in Tasmania, that's a bonus. We are always welcoming and love to show off our stunning island home. Work would involve getting the garden ready for planting this Spring and other various farm jobs. Nothing too hard or difficult. I'd like some help clearing and establishing some walking tracks through the forest on the property. I prefer people with experience i...

This is a very unique little farm and I love welcoming helpers to stay and help here. I prefer to host traveller/helpers who are mostly self contained..., in their own camper van (or similar). I prefer helpers to have a skill set that fits well with the permaculture doctrine and organic food growing. I provide a very nice semi self contained camp site - with water on tap, a raised metal campfire brazier and all over covering shelter(tarp) stretched between peppermint trees ! Yes, of course it's winter...., but our winters are becoming weaker, warmer and drier as time moves on..., and because this property lies in a protected valley with a stream flowing the middle it has become a sanctuary for the many native animals of the Boranup Forest. I am currently seeking helpers who will help me with weeding, stick picking, raking up leaves, seaweed harvesting and placing it around fruit trees and firewood cutting. Also....., I can find local work for helpers staying here..., especially i...

HI ! We are located in Northern NSW, roughly 35km from the towns of Lismore, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay. Our slice of paradise is home to a stunning array of native vegetation and a bustling community of native wildlife, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers and eco-warriors alike. Our current projects which we would love some help with, include gardening, bush regeneration, maintaining bush tracks, painting, general house and property maintenance. We also have some odd jobs for someone with building experience. We're offering cozy private studio accommodation equipped with TV and internet. We ask for 4 hours of help a day, (we are flexible as to when you achieve those hours) leaving you plenty of time to explore or just kick back and relax. Whether you're a master chef or someone who enjoys being cooked for, we've got the food covered in exchange for your awesome help (and maybe a hand with the dishes 😉). 🚗 Getting Here 🌳 Got transport? A stunning property in Kuranda (~30 mins drive to Cairns). Kuranda is a popular tourist town; part of the UNESCO listed “Wet Tropics”, home of the famous Barron Falls and stunning rainforests. We are currently trying to create a beautiful and self-sustainable farm. This place is perfect for someone who wants to experience the Australian country life and nature. We get visits from birds and wallabies. But if you are really lucky, you might get a visit from the Cassowary!! You will have your own accommodation (last 2 pics), surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden. We are currently looking for someone who has arborist/ building/ carpentry/ handy man skills. We are flexible with the days worked, as long as you worked your hours for the week, which is 20 hours for meals and accommodation. We hope for someone who is open to new experience, reliable, respectful, and responsible. And we would appreciate someone who is clean and tidy. We love to travel and enjoy meeting people fro...

We are looking for two types of helpers from early mid July: firstly one or two good wood workers / carpenters / DIY handymen/women capable of working effectively on your own or as a pair. Most of the work is outside but based out of a well-equipped woodworking workshop. Secondly we may be looking for someone to help with housekeeping and cooking and gardening. Plenty of opportunities on your day off, if you have interests in fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course. We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens, their mixed offspring, Muscovy ducks and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs. We have recently started making and using biochar, rearing soldier-fly larvae for chickens, starting oyster mushroom growing (that has stalled after a wet season failure!) and are starting to grow various high-nutritional-value microgreens. We live next to a very quet sandy, tropical beach (tide line 135 metres from the door) ...

CLEANING, COOKING, GARDENING, PLAYING MUSIC, are all things that I appreciate assistance with. Hi, I live in Bundaberg city 5km from the post office, and enjoy having travellers stay here in return for help around the house and yard, gardening, mowing, housekeeping/cleaning, general maintenance, etc. on my 1000 square meter block. If you have special skills tell me or if cooking is your thing then you would be especially welcome. I love all kinds of ethnic food and can be flexible as to work and leisure hours. Please message me via helpx in advance, so that I may read your completed, up to date, detailed profile. Generally, I like to have guests for two or three weeks but longer stays are also possible. Solo or couples are very welcome. Unfortunately I cannot sign for 2nd year visa. Accommodation is in spare bedroom, also includes washing, use of bicycles, and other perks in return for 2 hours per day help. Helpers are to provide or share food costs. My house is a “TV Free Zone”, but...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway., it is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON *Got a garden that needs cleaning up at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one old farmer, one dog, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek t...

This is a beautiful property - and requires some ongoing general property maintenance. Jobs including gardening - weeding, mowing, trimming, mulching and some painting. The choock shed needs a bit of attention, nothing to major, just general upkeep really. I`d be happy to have you here, no smoking, drugs or alcohol. The property backs onto the beautiful Tarago River and has a variety of native bird life around. We are currently adding some new local plant life to the river block. For those wondering - there is plenty of space to park your RV and hook up to water and power! Longwarry North is in West Gippsland, its about 1hr 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, about 1 hour from Philip Island and Wilsons Prom, at the foothills of the Strezlecki ranges and Mt Baw Baw. Some very beautiful country to explore around Gippsland. Your own vehicle is preferred.

We live in a large old house 20km inland of Byron Bay, in a quiet area of farmland and bush. We have a large garden and vegetable garden which is where we primarily need help. We have chickens, cats and 2 donkeys! We can offer a separate 'cottage' to stay in, and we provide all meals- some helpers have not wanted to go home! There is our new natural pool to cool off in too. In return we request 4 hours of genuine work per day. We are 8km from the nearest village so your own car is a big advantage, although we can pick you up if you don't have transport. Our family loves the cultural exchange aspect of HelpX and looks forward to meeting you and learning about your country. Right now we have work to do outdoors mainly weeding, some heavy lifting, pool cleaning, painting & gardening.

If you REALLY love dogs, cats and nature and are looking for a long-term role which may lead to paid work or visa sign off... We need a kind and fit person who would be happy to do all the jobs needed to keep our dogs healthy and happy. This includes a LOT of house cleaning, feeding, laundry and dog washing. Your accommodation would be in a lovely two-bedroom modern home which you would share with at least one other helper (currently that’s Josey and Lilja who are from Germany). Or you may want to gain the skills to volunteer at a rescue shelter, become a dog trainer, or maybe you might just want to know how to create a create a really great dog of your own. We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

3 bedroom house 200m from beach on south terrace in South Fremantle. Pubs, restaurants and cafes within short walking distance. Walk to Fremantle in 15 mins or take the free bus with a stop withing a few meters. Unlimited WiFi. It's a beautiful old house with a nice back garden to relax in. I require assistance with a some renovation work. The house is 120 years old - not old by European standards but quite old for Australia - but still a lot to be done. Some more work on my kitchen, and just a myriad of small things. Any skills in renovation and minor construction would be ideal but not essential. Whilst I haven't had many helpxers, I've had great experiences with everyone who has stayed. Happy for people to do there own thing but also happy to have a beer/wine with good people. Am after 1 to 3 honest people, male or female. Have had great experiences with Helpxers so far. Thanks, Mike

I, Christine, (63) am living with my daughter Bess (23) on an urban block. I am maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I occupy with her one of the three buildings on the property. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and have good conversations around the dinner table.. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom. Since we are on tank water I respectfully ask visitors to be water conscious when showering. The tasks: Depending on the season the vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, weeding, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and cleaning various areas. Depending on your skills there are more complex tasks available. To spell it out aft...

Great! If not, no worr...

I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper.I only take Non-smokers( meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well.) Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house.,such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us.

You would of course have dogs or cats sleeping on your bed too! This is a great experience for those who are fit and love dogs, cats, cleaning and organising and want to spend some time on a lovely property in a nice home full of dogs. Or you may want to gain the skills to volunteer at a rescue shelter, become a dog trainer, or maybe you might just want to know how to create a create a really great dog of your own. AVAILABILITY We currently have a place for one individual who could stay for up to six ...

We are a small, regenerative farm in Forcett, Tasmania that raises heritage breed cattle and pigs using sustainable feed options. Each year, we convert over 4 million kilograms of food waste into livestock feed. We are a registered Belted Galloway stud, and raise our animals from birth. We also sell our meat direct to the public through our farm gate. We have a 40 foot shipping container that has been converted into accommodation. It has a queen size bed, and 2 single bunks, a small lounge area with TV and free WIFI. The container also has some basic cooking facilities, as well as an external toilet and shower. Lunch is provided daily for people staying on our farm, and we provide a fridge stocked with fresh meat and produce from our farm. We are looking for helpers willing to help out on the farm, and to help with small scale projects. Farm work could include feeding livestock, helping with fencing, using a tractor and general farm maintenance. Farm projects can include things like ...
