PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON *Got a garden that needs cleaning up at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one farmer, one dog, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to sw...

Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

Small farm with some local residents involved in local markets, sustainable organic food production including eggs and fruit trees. Dinner has someone different cook each night. As well as the evening meal, Tea and coffee, cereal and fruit provided. We have two friendly German Shepards a cat and a bunch of chickens on property. Help is wanted in fruit tree seed raising and planting as well as tending to established trees, chickens, greens etc. We are on the tablelands near Cairns. It is always a little cooler making summer mild and winter fresh. There are literally 10 waterfalls to see within 30 radius, lakes, walks, animals such as platypus and tree kangaroo. Fireflies are common also. Accommodation is choice of nice caravan, or room in house. Suits single or couples, even groups of friends. We have a music room and like to jam so musicians especially encouraged to apply. Alternative vibe. Only rule is respect.

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...

This is a very unique little farm and I love welcoming helpers to stay and help here. I prefer to host traveller/helpers who are mostly self contained..., in their own camper van (or similar). I prefer helpers to have a skill set that fits well with the permaculture doctrine and organic food growing. I provide a very nice semi self contained camp site - with water on tap, a raised metal campfire brazier and all over covering shelter(tarp) stretched between peppermint trees ! Yes, of course it's winter...., but our winters are becoming weaker, warmer and drier as time moves on..., and because this property lies in a protected valley with a stream flowing the middle it has become a sanctuary for the many native animals of the Boranup Forest. I am currently seeking helpers who will help me with weeding, stick picking, raking up leaves, seaweed harvesting and placing it around fruit trees and firewood cutting. Also....., I can find local work for helpers staying here..., especially i...

Learn about gardening, woodworking and find yourself on a journey to your soul in Macclesfield, South Australia Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. We are regularly being booked 3 to 4 months in advance with mostly long-term guests. This should not deter you to ask anyway as booked helpers sometimes cancel their spot. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2-hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, flower beds, lawns as well as a goat on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day from Monday to Friday and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). I have helpers now and for June. I will not be looking for helpers until September. My home is a two story red cedar home, surrounded by trees, bird life and only metres from the beautiful Morwong Beach. This is a place of peace and tranquillity. There is a yurt with a Queen and single bed which would be your accommodation but of course you would be welcome in the house at all times. Coochiemudlo is a quick 10 minute ferry trip from Victoria Point where buses can regularly take you in all directions. On the island we have a local bus which will pick you up or deliver you for a gold coin. I have an island car, a bike and a kayak. There will be some weeding, mowing and whipper snipping (weed cutting). I ask for 20 hours a week in return for accommodation and meals. There are also people on the island who are happy to pay you for work. Coochiemudlo is a beautiful island that I am sure you will enjoy. Cheers, Rosemary

Kathy lives in a lovely, simple, tropical style, ground level, Darwin house. She has e a large garden. Kathry is interested in a Helpx couple or single willing to help with gardening, painting, spring cleaning, other home repairs or maintenance and perhaps also cooking and daily clean up/housework. Young professional living in a 2-bedroom apartment in St Kilda area walking distance to train and tram stations and the infamous Chapel street. I have a spare room and I am looking for someone who: - can help with household chores such as cleaning the rooms, vacuuming the carpet, sweeping the leaves, etc. - can do occasional cooking if you're good at it. - can motivate me to go back to fitness by joining me to the gym to exercise - can hangout when time permits or can be independent as well - are fun, cool, open-minded, and easy to get along with If we get along well, you can stay longer while you're working full-time so you can save up money for your future trips. Hello, thanks for your interest in our flower and fruit farm. We have a hectare of peonies that look amazing in November and cherries which fruit in January. We are just 25 minutes from Hobart, and also grow quince, pears and lots of berries. We have a flock of Guinea Fowl, some ducks that live on the dam and a super friendly and gentle Border Collie called Pip who loves greeting visitors. We are looking for some practical helpers to assist preparing the orchard for the coming season. Our self contained cottage would suit a single, a couple or two friends. Our farm is 5 minutes from the historic village of Richmond and its convict built bridge which is a must see for most tourists. There is a bus service from Hobart to Richmond, and we also can pick you up from the airport or from Hobart. Thank you and we hope you have a good visit to Tasmania.

I have a very comfortable guest room in my small house on beautiful Magnetic Island. Maggie is situated in the World Heritage Marine Park. The house is nestled in a native garden and backs on to a seasonal creek. I have many native animals around so be prepared for that. 🙂 I would like to host helpers who like to chat about their travels, experiences and home country and who are keen to learn about Australia. I’d get you to help with whatever I’m doing at the time - mostly gardening type work probably. Maybe weeding, pruning, planting, mulching…… very occasionally I might get you to help with dusting some louvres ……. More than likely, I’d be working alongside you. I'd ask for you to give two hours per day of help. What time during the day could be flexible - depending on the weather and your or my plans for the day. I'd be open to stays of between 3 and 5 nights. I do have a lot of visitors and travel myself quite a bit, so the timing would be a matter of availability and negot...

We accept people who appreciate 4hrs of daily work alongside us is a very fair exchange for wholesome meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner provided + seasonal fruit), your own private space, satellite Wi-fi and access to beautiful, private, natural surroundings with lots of native wildlife like wallabies and pademelons. In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property (plus we adjoin 8,000ha/20,000ac of National Park) and meet/spend time with our animals, read , meditate, do yoga/fitness, satellite wifi, watch movies, bird watching, platypus watching...etc. We have a lot of info on our page, mainly so we get the right people applying to volunteer here. The work is usually physical (ie no cute animal feeding - that`s in your free time if you express an interest to Claire), but we offer a very fair exchange for those motivated to contribute their 4hrs of daily work. You don`t need prior experience, but must be willing to help out. We do...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. I live on a 120 yr old property at the foot of Gullagae (Mt Dromedary). I try to be as self-sufficient as possible, with fruit trees, large kitchen veg garden, chickens and geese & run a small amount of cattle and sheep grown for own meat. Currently renovating an old timber barn on the property. Also have 4 horses plus others on agistment which always need work and TLC. I am close to some beautiful unspoilt beaches and the historic National Trust village of Central Tilba. All visitors who are enthusiastic and willing to pitch in and live as part of the family are welcome. Assistance with ongoing property maintenance, home duties and gardening is always appreciated. People with the ability to drive a tractor or wield a chainsaw, those who have building/plumbing/fencing skills, and those with horse experience are especially sought after! If you REALLY love dogs, cats and nature and are happy to dedicate your time to doing all the tasks associated with keeping them healthy and happy, we have availability or ONE helper before the end of June and another helper in July. We need someone to be our 'au pair' for the house dogs, doing all the laundry, feeding, cleaning and organising for the dogs who holiday here. You would need to be kind and patient with good time management skills. Your accommodation is in a lovely two-bedroom modern home which you would share with at least one other helper (currently that’s Flore and Lilja who are from France and Germany. You would of course have dogs or cats sleeping on your bed too! This is a great experience for those who are fit and love dogs, cleaning and organising and want to spend some time on a lovely property in a nice home full of dogs. Or you may want to gain the skills to volunteer at a rescue shelter, become a dog trainer, or maybe you might just want to know how to crea...

Bienvenu chez nous! We have what is called here in Australia a granny flat, it is comfortable and private. General work around the home with lots of palm leaves but more importantly fun socialising and exchanging experiences. I have given selfdefence classes to all our helpx friends and they were all very pleased with that. We have the most interesting island just in our backyard visitors should allow some time to visit it, it can be costly if you wish to hire a 4w drive but the experience is amazing. We are both migrants to this beautiful country and we enjoy sharing our experience with you, we speak English, French and learning German We are on the coast and the weather here is amongst the best in the world. Spanish solo un poco . Ps if you are 3 or two couples, let me know we can always work something out.

Large lovely room with double bed - television and ensuite. Also a private living room. Verandah off the bedroom with view over the area. Very nice. In Pittwater which is very nice. On the main road and public transport (buses) a few metres away. Water all around. One of the best places to visit in the world. We are looking for one person or a couple, who can help do a few things around our home - mostly maintenance. No special skills required.

Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living (Dad and 2 teens) in the suburbs of Newcastle, about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home (Liam - 17yo & Anna - 19yo), we enjoy cafes and going to the beach and swimming in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and Liam attends the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time renovating (fixing/building) houses, including the house we live in, and love to have people to work with. The house we live in is currently being renovated and an extension is being constructed. Right now I really need help with timber framing - putting the house together - we are currently up to the floor frames and working on getting the rest of the house extension up. Help at work: Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (norm...

Please note: We do not have a farm & are not able to sign the paperwork for working holiday visas. As we are inviting you into our home, some information about you is ideal, please write a profile. We need helpers to have good enough English skills for communication. We are a couple, living in our 12 year old, sustainably built, solar powered home, with glorious views over Byron Bay & north up the coast to Queensland. Grant's adult son, Josh (28) lives with us. We have a gorgeous dog, some hens, fish & axolotls. Looking for a skilled solo traveller (or a couple or 1-2 people traveling together). It is ideal if you have your own transport, as there is a very limited bus service. However we have had helpers stay without transport. Byron Bay 10 mins, Bangalow 5 mins, Ballina 30 mins, Gold Coast airport 45 mins. The work: re-oiling the timber of the house, brush-cutting, mulching, planting, gardening, weeding, landscaping, carpentry, window cleaning & some house cleaning. 5 hours a ...

We have a position from early September only. Our home is an urban farm with chickens, goats, compost and fruit trees, plus a large shared veggie patch. Our home is a community, with six independent houses, and lots of people to meet! Our home is a demonstration sustainable house. Our home is a community hub, with regular cups of tea, tours, workshops, films and other community events. Why not come and stay with us? Your hosts Shani and Tim will be happy to meet you. (We don’t have any children.) We are especially willing to welcome you if you are interested in all things sustainable. Tim does all the building, landscaping and art work around the place, as well as playing music. Shani is in charge of the gardens and animals. Four other people live on the property - you'll meet them all! We also run sustainable education and sand sculpture businesses, but you will be helping at our private home, not the businesses. Please note that we do have a bee hive but the bees are usually ver...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest (https://youtu.be/GpAYNkuURV0). ------------------------------------------------- We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERA...

Hi, it's Stephen and Philamae. We have a beautiful property in Buckland, Tasmania (45mins NE from Hobart airport). The views are stunning - the accommodation is lovely now that its 4 year build has just completed! The place will get even more enjoyable and beautiful as we create this funky mini-retreat space. The experience of the place - and Tasmania as a whole - is soul stirring. Lots of beautiful animals surround us - sheep, wallabies, possums, echidnas, bunnies and the occasional deer.... Generally we look for Helpxers to help with the gardening and house cleaning (the weeds are a never-ending battle!), but we also have some next garden and DIY/building related projects we want to progress: build some very large fruit tree cages; build/install a chicken coup and chickens! construct flat packed bunk beds x3. So any experience/ability in creating these kinds of structures would be great! The next specific needs are from June onwards - looking for helpers to help with cleanin...

A large two level beach house just 100m from the surf. I moved from Sydney in 2020 at the beginning of Covid lockdown. I set up a photography studio, renovated the interior and the pool and garden area, and nearly finished a photo gallery. Generally, I only host one person, this is a beach house in a resort area not a farm, but on occasions there can be enough work for more than one on a daily basis. I host for a week, maybe more if you have specific skills (see list below) and/or we have an excellent connection. You will have your own large very comfortable bedroom with a queen bed and private bathroom on the first floor, also access to TV and Netflix and use a bicycle and the private pool. I occasionally offer the room for weekends only with Airbnb so it is of high standard. I look for up to three hours of daily assistance from helpers, offering some basic food/cooking supplies, coffee and tea etc. I strongly prefer taking turns with my helpers offering an evening meal to suit o...

We are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work. We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We run approximately 1500 sheep, which need lamb marking and shearing. With the cattle we have mustering and yard work. We also have daily feeding of calves and lambs. The bee hives need some attention, eg extracting honey, moving boxes around, cleaning area. We also have chickens and turkeys, which need attention daily and working dogs to be cared for. With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. Currently we need help with cutting fire wood around the property, this will consist of 3 to 4 hours per day and can help get you some pocket money and also experience the land. I also have bee hives that need some attention a...

***currently full until mid-August 2025 - happy to hear from people travelling in the area after this date though :) *** My partner and I are converting a small yard into a permaculture garden. We know a lot about horticulture and sustainability, have space for 2-3 people and would love to share skills and get help for our ongoing projects. Both of us (Kelly and Jim) travelled overseas from 2016-2021 as Workaway guests so we have experience as helpers. I want our guests to have good experiences with us, and we have hopefully created a good space for travellers to park up, share our lives, help us out a bit and leave having learned a lot from each other and gained a lot of positive experiences overall. For any guests travelling with minors: we both have our Child Safety Blue Cards. We are a smoking and drinking home with designated smoking areas. Kelly has a lot of family living close by, you are welcome to meet them if you want, they love meeting cultural exchange people because we...

If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can ...

Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skil...

Wildlife visit our property and we can provide interpretative information about the wildlife and local area. Walking tracks are beside the property and information guide is available. Kayaking and coral viewing is available from boat trips at the jetty. We require help with gardening and weeding and planting. We also need help with some maintenance and some minor building projects. Please note the food option is only available for singles. Bye Jacinta
