Currently we are hoping to find a couple (male or female or mixed) to stay with us at my sons farm around the 19th March.. Tom and his family are taking a well earned break by taking their daughters to an importnat soccer match in Brisbane. Although somene will come daily to oversee the main feeds, we need some able bodied back up . it is not hard work but franz and I are not as healthy as before and dont want to risk unforseen problems alone. People with past farm experience would be great. We ALWAYS need some able bodied helpers with assist with goat feeding and some light garden maintenance on my son's farm.. I have loved planting a garden there for them as they are so busy developing their beautiful farm. We favour couples with their own transport if possible. Our son and his family have a small mixed farm of 60 acres nearby (approx 25 hectares) which they are tirelessly working on to develop it as a farm stay with miniature cattle and goats, chickens, two riding horses, ducks...

Our vacancy right now is for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Garden plants are growing fast, as are the weeds! As it is the hot season during February, we start in the garden about 7am after a beach walk. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; based out of a well-equipped, a...

We are an active older couple, living in a small village on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia. The surroundings are beautiful, with excellent beaches within a few minutes walk and national park forests and waterways all around. Wildlife is prolific. The area is perfect for anyone interested in nature or in outdoor activities such as photography, swimming, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking or bushwalking. The village is 8 kms from the nearest town which, though small, has a couple of cafes, a pub and a brewery, as well as a few shops. However there is no public transport so it is better for visitors to have their own vehicle, We are well-travelled and are interested in meeting people from other countries and cultures. The local people are friendly and open to meeting newcomers. We are happy to help people improve their English, if desired. We are involved in community activity in various ways and will be happy to assist helpers to learn about the Australian a...

I live between a yacht on Sydney Harbour and a house in a tall eucalyptus forest on the mid north coast of NSW, and need some assistance in working on the house and on another yacht. I'm a carpenter who worked with National Parks and Wildlife for 25 years before retiring, and live with a small dog Billy. I've had many helpers come stay over the last few years and have been lucky to have so many interesting travellers stay. My yacht, is currently on the hard at Whoota, where we are renovating her while helping with work on her. I often take helpers out sailing to see the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House but this is not possible while she is being worked on. Yet, I hope to invite helpers out when she is back in the water. The house is located in Whoota, near Forster. It is surrounded by forest and located a 10 minute drive from pristine beaches, lakes, and bushwalks. There a lots of dolphins to see and beautiful areas to explore. The work we are doing on the house ...

There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Beautiful Beechworth is Australia's best-preserved gold mining town and is a must-see tourist destination for visitors to North-East Victoria. Join us at our beautiful hazelnut farm in historic Beechworth. The 55-acre property is nestled between the ever-popular Woolshed Falls and the panoramic views of Mt Pilot (both only 5 minutes drive away). There is a Hazelnut Orchard with approximately 800 Hazelnut trees, and a small presence of about 20 Pecan trees. There is also a small flock of about 30 sheep, a small chicken coop with about 10 birds and our dear pet Jersey cow, Betsy. At various times we also operate guest accommodation. Tasks for guests may include pruning and tree maintenance, depending on the time of year, feeding and maintaining animals or maintaining guest accommodation. Other odd jobs may include collecting wood, maintaining water supply for the animals and just general property maintenance and keeping the place neat and tidy. To set expectations, the main focus...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We want to show you how to be comfortable in nature; to re-learn how to be a part of nature rather than apart from nature. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

I'm looking for couples or singles who are travelling around the South West in their Camper Van or Car with tent etc..., basically they need to be mostly self contained. I have some nice camp sites here that are clean, safe and located in a private, natural setting. If you and your partner would like to come, stay and help me here, please send me a message ! I can also probably help you with many things.., I might even be able to help you find local employment opportunities ! I have lived on my own little permaculture farm beside the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park forest since 1982. I have built my own home using local granite stone and timber( milled from the floor of my creek line). I am now fully 'off grid' in my solar active/passive house. There's still some painting(water based) work to finish the house off, plus I'm also percolating some plans to build a house connected greenhouse. I am currently seeking help from a couple of travellers for some basic property mai...

Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

We are a family of 4 offering a comfortable, self contained one bedroom unit to travellers in exchange for help with our garden, which we are gradually revegetating. Our children are 1 and 4 years old, so we welcome guests who enjoy being around little ones and who can be mindful of keeping noise low during nap times and evenings. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood just 4km from the Launceston CBD. There is a bus stop close by, and a local supermarket is only a five minute walk away. Just across the road from our home is Queechy Lake, a peaceful natural space that is especially appealing to birdwatchers and nature lovers. These wetlands attract a diverse range of local birdlife, making them a lovely spot for early‑morning walks, photography, or quiet relaxation. We are also within easy walking distance of Old Macs Farm, a family‑friendly area with gentle paths and farm animals, and the Punchbowl Reserve, a leafy park with walking tracks, picnic spots, and a popular playgrou...

Take Note: I am now looking for help from now, 13th Feb., '26 to the end of March - around six weeks. I was looking for helpers for our lambing programme - April - end of July but that position is almost certainly filled as of tomorrow. Please Note: I have recently had a stroke - recovering very well but unable to be as involved as before - not yet, any way!!! We have just experienced an extremely challenging last twelve months, with three of our family members (one being myself) experiencing very difficult health issues. Our youngest daughter has had to undergo multiple surgeries since early September 2024, then in mid December our 2nd daughter broke her neck and is now wheelchair bound and I suffered a stroke in mid March this year. Needless to say we are all endeavoring to get back to as normal as possible, as soon as possible and for myself, having spent 3 and a half months in hospital recuperating, I am very pleased to be back on the farm. I do need help with some of the day to...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week.
