Looking for single or couple to stay in Quinns Rocks from 26 June to 15th of July. I’ll be away during this period, although my housemate will be home (25 year old friendly guy) The house is a few hundred metres from the beach, around 30 minutes north of Perth, with a bus stop right outside and easy access to public transport. In exchange for accommodation, I’m looking for around 2 hours of help per day. The main job is looking after my Chihuahua, Chip. He weighs only 2kg and is very easy to care for. He needs feeding, being let out for the toilet, and keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t escape. He’s very affectionate and enjoys sleeping on the bed if you’re comfortable with that. Other jobs include: ● General spring cleaning ● Cleaning and polishing a boat ● Rust-proofing a boat trailer ● Organising parts of the shed and garage ● Other jobs around the house The house is a large modern home and you will mostly have it to yourself. The dates are fairly fixed as they c...

We have a self built off grid house in the forest. The surrounding habitat reserve consists of 1000ha of varied forest types and habitat, heaps of birds, wildlife and bushwalks. We are 10 minutes from Huonville and about 50 minutes south from Hobart. We provide Helpers with their own guest room. You share our living and kitchen. Note that the guest room has almost no heating so can be cold in winter, but we supply plenty of warm bedding. Helpers become part of our household and we generally spend the evenings together as well as the work periods. The help involves a mix of: - Assisting with installation, maintenance, renovations, minor repairs of our off grid house and equipment. - Assist with walking track construction. - Maintenance of sustainable facilities such as solar electric, water collection and storage, waste water processing and disposal - Maybe some construction or maintenance at our eco-tourism property nearby - Other varied stuff that you might be suited to or want to...

If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...

This is for those of you who plan ahead. We are full until mid July, right at the start of our best fishing season and in the middle of our best weather when at least some of the time we should be cutting great timber from unwanted trees using a 26 inch/56cm bandsaw. So anyone who loves fishing, snorkelling on inshore reefs and is good at DIY or carpentry and loves the simple, quiet, rural life by the beach, next to the rainforest, this is for you 🤗. We appreciate help with DIY construction, repairs and maintenance, timber work, boat work, metal work repairs to trailers and for help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn o...

Our small farm (https://little-farm.com.au) sits in Northern Victoria, where we grow fruit and vegetables, plant trees, and learn as we go. Tim, a retired engineer, is always building or fixing something. Beth is a teacher and health practitioner who also teaches at university. She tends a rose garden of over 400 fragrant bushes. Early mornings here smell incredible. The property includes an organic vegetable garden, orchard, berries, herbs, and a music room with a baby grand piano. If you play, bring your instrument. We’re close to the Murray River. Big skies, glowing sunrises and sunsets, and rich birdlife surround us. Magpies are part of daily life here, in sound and in art across the farm. Nights are clear and full of stars. Many people arrive tired and leave feeling genuinely restored. What we’re looking for Willing, reliable help Someone who takes initiative and keeps shared spaces tidy A careful learner who asks when unsure You’ll be guided at first, then work more indepen...

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you’re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, watch the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises! Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat. If you're a rock climber, you can walk to crags at Shipley and Centennial Glen. We have two alpacas, some chickens, and two indoor cats. We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest. We need ENERGETIC help in the yard, mainly splitting firewood. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES. We also need help with BUSH REGENERATION because there are weeds that have invaded the rare and endangered hanging s...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing, and energizing our own water though Ionisation. Water conservation is part of life for me. You can come to Maryborough via plane, bus or train. The Hervey Bay Airport is only 30min from my home. There are meanwhile several bus companies to choose from. If you use the train please book Maryborough town from the drop down menu. The shuttle bus from the train station in Maryborough west (20 min out of town) is free of charge if it is pre-booked. As international travelers you qualify for a concession card on Queensland tra...

I am in desperate need of helpers to tame my garden, planting the winter growing season veggies plus harvesting and pruning fruit tree. Due to family health issues I have been away in Canada for a total of 16 weeks over two visits during the last 9 months needless to say I have become a bit behind. This is the best time of the year to be in the garden. We are a working cattle farm/station located on the edge of the Australian Outback within an easy 2.5hour drive from Townsville and the Great Barrier Reef. We are located about 40minutes from the major cattle hub and historical town of Charters Towers I love to cook and grow our own food. One of my hobbies is preserving food and baking which has resulted in me starting a Small business called Darlene’s Country Kitchen. I sell my products and produce in our local town, Charters Towers. We also attend a regular Market on the 4 Sunday of every month. Helpers will be expected to feed and water chickens, ducks and geese, collect eg...

We are a small, newly established hobby farm with a big vision to create a world where the health and well-being of both people and the planet can flourish. Our motto is from little things big things grow! We are guided by the principles of permaculture – People Care, Earth Care and Fair Share. We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people as traditional custodians of the land we live and work on. Our aim as temporary caretakers is to create a lifestyle that is slower, simpler, happier, more self-sufficient, and kinder to the planet, as a demonstration to others of what might be possible. This place is the home base for a counselling and eco-therapy mental health service, which works with nature to improve people’s health and well-being, and to promote healing and growth. We also have lots of big ideas and projects in the makings, as well as ongoing jobs. These include: - establishing an orchard - establishing permaculture gardens - building a new chicken house and run - growing 'Herbs f...

Hi to who ever may read this!!! ???? We are a family of 5 + 1 dog. We are both from the small island of Tasmania, Australia. We have been together for 15 years, and have been lucky enough to have travelled overseas often including spending a year backpacking in Europe and 5 months backpacking in Asia. We live in the tourist town of Stanley, where we both work and also operate an ebike and surfboard hire business. We have a home here in Tasmania that we have been renovating for the past year. It shares a property with a pizza restaurant. The house is 120 yaars old and had been left to ruin for the past 5 which has left it needing some love. We have tasks around the property which could include things such as cleaning, gardening, painting, cooking, and labour type work based on your skill set. Part of the house is new and complete where you will stay and food will be provided. We live within walking distance to beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops. We are eager to show people some...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Because it’s a 30 hec property and there is always some...

My husband and I moved to this 240 acre farm in the South Burnett Region of South East Qld 2 years ago and have recently moved into a purpose built cottage (to reduce our footprint) relying on rainwater for the house and bore water for the gardens and to reduce our footprint further we have installed a composting toilet. 40 fruit trees have been planted and raised garden beds made which is the start of our edible oasis. Next on the jobs list is creating wicking beds from IBC totes and fencing the house yard for our two Jack Russell dogs. We have an old thunder box we would like to restore to make into an outdoor composting toilet (let us know if you’re handy on the tools). There’s plenty to do and learn around the farm depending on your ability and interests. Enthusiasm is a must. There’s gardening and learning about soil health, learning how to erect barbed wire and electric fencing, animal husbandry, building, cleaning and general maintenance. There’s always something different g...

We are a family of three, my wife and I and 18 year old son. We Live in Hobart and I travel to my studio in Cradoc most days to work. I am a practicing artist ( sculptor) operating a studio on 8 acres and I'm the process of setting up the garden and exchange artist in residence (listed on resartis) and helpx accommodation ( very basic). There is a little cottage on the property with a double bed and a wood heater/cook top. This is suitable for a couple or single person( one room) or shared small space. It has a lovely valley view and very cosy. The toilet and shower are a short walk away. It is more practical in summer and only for the brave in winter, as a lot of the time you are outdoors. We are looking for some one to live in the little cottage and work for minimum 10 hours a week. This really is only an accommadation type exchange hence only the 10 hours. It can be done all in a day or over a longer period- it's up to you. You will have to supply own food and prep - kitchen...

Hi Everyone We are a Mixed farming enterprise. We have Cattle and seasonal cropping. We have 2 resident working dogs and plenty of horses. The home and accommodation are on the Beach front in a small coastal town. The beach front home is only 100mts to the ocean so great for all beach activities out the front gate. There is Separate accommodation to main house with amenities. Work will involve travelling to the properties to help inspect livestock waters and wellbeing. Other jobs include feeding stock, gardening, shifting hay, loading hay so being able to drive a tractor is an advantage but not essential.. These work times are usually a short period and not every day. So there will be several days where you will be able to do your own thing . There are numerous scenic and tourist destinations close by. Our wonderful helpers from Argentina & France have left to go to a winter job in the snowfields. They loved it here, so we are now seeking some new helpers as there is still plenty to do in the garden over winter. ENJOY THE FREEDOM & BEAUTY OF SOUTH GIPPSLAND. Property is a botanic garden of Australian native plants, many rare or endangered, plus an acre of plants for cut flowers, mainly proteas, banksias and tea trees. Lots of wildlife. We need help with weeding, mowing, mulching, planting and general clean up as the property is too big for the two of us to maintain. Accommodation is very comfortable, private, with fully set up kitchen in a studio style cottage with a queen size bed and smart TV. Recently installed a new electric oven with airfry function. Has split system heating and cooling. It is separate from the main house. It was a very popular AirBnB destination but we have decided not to do it anymore as it is too much extra work. The property is rural; half way between Wontha...

We.previously lived in Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast where we hosted many helpers through helpx with amazing reviews over a period of 17years.. Most never wanted to leave. We have now moved and bought an equally stunning property in Far North Queensland in a small country town (Cardwell) on 3 acres 10 minutes from beach. We are located between Cairns and Townsville and just south of Mission Beach. Terry and I are not as young as we used to be and are struggling with maintaining the property. We need help for 4hours a day, with weeding, mulching, pruning and watering the gardens and general house cleaning. We back onto tropical rainforest and creek. Help around the inside of property would also be helpful. You will have your own bedroom and own bathroom (1 queen for couples and 2 queens for singles). The fridge will be stocked for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we all sit together for evening meals which I will prepare. There are many stunning waterfalls and walk...

Robe, Mt Gambier, Blue Lake, Naracoorte caves just to name a few. Accommodation is a Modern furnished separate building to the main house allowing your own privacy. It has its o...

House is fully furnished. We are very excited to meet people from around the world. We are respectful of others and prefer no smoking inside.
