We are located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near markets, grocery stores and public transport (bus at front door!) as well as a local coffee strip. It's a fully self-contained cottage with kitchen and bathroom. The wet summer means we are a bit overwhelmed with garden chores, we'd love some help in taming the lush green. Over the past year we (Dona and Manning) have hosted a number of helpx willing workers over a longer term and enjoyed the experience immensely. We are looking for motivated, mature couple or friends who can share and exchange experiences and skills. We are happy to host helpxers without a vehicle but please be aware that there is no public transport close which means you can be a little isolated . We offer a self contained flat away from the main residence, which includes bathroom facilities, own laundry, and a basic kitchen. There is a Queen bedroom suite room and a second room with a single bed. The flat is fully furnished, has a TV, fridge, microwave, small oven, basic kitchen appliances, a large east facing deck, and off street parking. Located on the mid north coast, surrounded by hills and valleys, great for bushwalking and exploring if that's what you`re into. We are predominantly an arable farm growing a large amount of garlic. Seasonally, we also grow egg plant, rhubarb, ginger, turmeric, pumpkin, yukon, artichoke, cucumber and corn, and whatever else we can put in the ground. All of our grown produce is certified organic. We do not use any sprays or pesticides. We also keep livestock. A herd of cattle, pigs , sheep and goats as well as chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. We are lcurrently ooking for helpxers with practical experience for May and June as we work towards a garden wedding in our yard at the start of July, It usually works for us that your stay is around 7 - 10 days but this depends on the helper and how it goes and advance bookings. Currently needing help with cleaning, gardening, maintenance and painting. Let us know if you have anything else to offer, as we may be able to use your skills. The work is mainly outside. Mealtimes, sharing the day's news, and hearing your travel and life stories are highlights of our helpx experience. We would like you to also help cook the evening meal, we all take that in turns. We have a well-provisioned kitchen. We have one young adult child at home (sometimes) and my parents live next door and often join us for a meal. We may also ask you to help at my parents house. If you are looking for decent meals, WIFI, clean sheets and a comfortable bed, please apply. Some washing can be done during your stay with us. In exchange for a few hours help (minimum 4 to 5 hours each day) you will receive breakfast, cornflakes or similar and/or toast (not a cooked breakfast), a sandwich or similar for lunch and an evening meal.
