In January 2023 I purchased an old farmhouse with 2 hectares of land. Currently I am renovating the house to make it liveable for my family and to have a guestroom. We are Dutch and moved to Bornholm for a more quiet life with a bit more freedom around education. My son is almost 6 and I am expecting a baby in September. We are doing simple paint jobs, advanced electrical work, plumbing, cabinet making and traditional woodwork. Experienced craftsmen of all relevant trades wanted. 20 hours help per week where we often practice "work one day, relax one day", and occasionally sail in the greater Copenhagen area. At the moment, no electricity or running water on board (work in progress), but wood oven heating and gas cooktop is available. On workdays we prepare and eat lunch together. This is a homestead in the countryside in the northern part of the beautiful island of Bornholm, 3 km from the nearest town (and supermarket), Allinge, and 3km to the ruins of Hammershus. There are a lot of nice walks nearby, to beaches, nature and shelters. Normally I live alone, receiving sons and guests for shorter and longer stays throughout the year. This summer and autumn we are making renovations in the house and annexes. For much of the work no construction skills are required. We welcome helping visitors for a few days or longer stays. We expect you to participate in our dayly life and work. There are several rooms for guests in the house. Accomodation depends on the number of guests, normally we wont accept more than a few guests at a time.

We are a dual nationality family of 4. Amanj is originally from Kurdistan and Mie is from Denmark. Valdemar is the oldest boy (7), and Gorm is 4. During the summer Amanj has a busy time managing the island’s Pizza place. We live in a spacious farm house built in 1935 which sits on the edge of a beautiful pond. We love meeting new people and would like help looking after the garden, house or the boys. We live on a very special island in southern Denmark, north of Lolland which is north of Germany! It has a population of approximately 450 people which increases during the summer and autumn months, when people come on vacation and then to help pluck the tons of apples, pears and plums grown here. Because of this there is a very unusually high amount of different nationalities here (10 - 15) and several people have in fact stayed after coming here through Helpx or Woofing! Hi everyone! We are a small scale organic farm situated 35 km from Copenhagen (we live 1.5 km fra train station with 35 min direct train to Copenhagen Main train station). We are a family with 3 children. We also have 4 employees. We have 2000 egg laying hens, 100 pigs and 20 sheep (with up to 40 lambs). We also have dogs and cats. We focus on small scale grass fed and wastefed production, animal welfare, outstanding taste and direct sale to customers. Our we little farm of 3 hectares is nestled among beautiful nature and agricultural countryside. When we bought the farm in 2019 is was primarily a small horse farm with room for 10 stabled horses with a few hectares of grazing pasture Since we have added small protected land plot where we keep 2 funny goats and 3 curious sheep. Goats are primarily keeping the weeds, while we produce meet and sheep skins from the sheep. The farm today houses Carsten and Stephanie and our 19 year old son Frederik, 2 outdoor cats, 9 horses (3 of our own), 2 goats, 3 sheep and 30 chickens. We also have half our neighbor's bees hanging around in the flowers and you are always welcome to pay them a visit and see their colonies.
