Have a single spot from May 12th available to join another woman. Work is feijoa harvesting and weeding/mulching the blueberries. Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi. I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard goodies you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make a big lunch at the house for everyone (lots of home made bread and cakes) and the afternoons/evenings are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always a shady tree to nap under. Warning we do have insects, and in the summer picking time can't take helpers who are colourblind. For ease of booking we'd prefer if you can plan on coming and going on Mondays, one week minimum st...

This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and Torrisdale (the farm) is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. The property is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away. Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list. Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transport tha...

Hi=) We are a fun, friendly household in the sunny Bay of Plenty! I'm a Drama & English teacher and Blair is an electrician. My husband and I have 2 fun, adventurous girls, we also have a puppy and cat. We enjoy biking, baking, board games and picnics at the beach, amongst other things. We would love to host people who are honest, friendly, independent, hard-workers and are interested in meeting new people and enjoying what Tauranga has to offer. In exchange for 4 hours work per day, you will receive free accomodation, meals (please provide your own snacks) and wifi. Work includes domestic-type chores; mainly cleaning, cooking and possibly baby-sitting - helps if you like children and animals. We have a cat and golden retriever. It is definitely easier if you have a car, although buses are available from here. We had a homestay from China for a year who found his way round on the buses fine but it does take a while. Happy for any amount of time e.g.:1-2 days or weeks stay but prefe...

We are Craig, Violaine and Max, he is nearly 5, and does all the things that small chilrden do, we also have 3 cats Arti, Pearl and Russell, a big dog Tilly, and ducks, chickens, too many to name them all. We live at the bottom of the South Island and have a tourist lodge, with privayes rooms, shared bathrooms and some camp sites, catering to mostly hikers but its open to anyone. We try to be eco friendly, semi self sufficient. (Craig) Is a chef and barista and cooks breakfasts and dinners for guests, if they book meals, we try to cook everything from scratch, making the bread, grow the fruits and make jams, etc. If you are interested in food he has 40 years of cooking hospo skills. Violaine (She came here as a helper 13.5 years ago) and is French, so if your French and your English is not so good she is a good help in easing yourself into the language, She does the bookings, organization, some gardening, helps me where she can and try's to keep the wheels on. Max is 4 and a half he ...

Hello Helpers! I live on a small 5 acre lifestyle block, 48 km South of Auckland CBD, that is also home to one horse (Meg), two small inside dogs (Alfie and Lacey), a cat (Sylvie) and some free-range hens who happily provide eggs for our breakfast. I can offer short stays of approximately ONE WEEK only. Mature, practical-minded people with a few years life experience, a good work ethic and a good understanding of the English language are preferred. None of the jobs are difficult but you do need to be reasonably FIT and you need to be able to work independently. Non-smokers/non-vapers only please. I've had some amazing helpx helpers that have helped establish the kitchen gardens and some help is now needed on general gardens and landscaping. Depending on the time of the year, some of the tasks you may be asked to help with are: planting trees/shrubs, weeding and mulching garden beds, grubbing thistles, paddock weeds and brush-cutting (strimming/weed-eating). You will have a v...

WELCOME TO PARADISE GLENORCHY! We are a busy couple working full time and needing help with our property. Based in the spot chosen by the original settling family in the area, we have a really well established garden that needs taming and some quirky buildings that need some TLC. Looking for hardy gardeners, handy DIYers and folks who are keen to just generally get stuck in. We have a great retro caravan, sleep out, outdoor kitchen and bathroom set up that's screaming out for someone, two friends or a couple to bring it to life. At this stage we a only provide breakfast, but could do lunch in some situations. We have heaps of freezer space and suggest you stock up on a few dinners, and drinks in Queenstown before you get here as the local shops are a bit pricey. Spark phone signal is limited to the end of the drive, OneNz works just fine. - free internet available. We recommend helpers have there own wheels, as we're 5km outside of Glenorchy. There is however a bike you can use if ...

Live the Endless Summer and come to the Winterless North. Help out in the morning (2 hrs), surf or relax in the afternoon. We are looking for 1-2 happy helpers to assist us mainly with house keeping and general hospitality tasks. Easy work, but would like to have someone with eye for detail and a 'can do' attitude. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building situated right on the 90-Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay in Ahipara, famous for its surf. We are a small guest house with 18 beds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our guests come here mainly for surfing and to visit Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem, its a great place to hang out and make friends. The beach is right in front of the lodge, a fantastic place to chill.

No vacancy until end of May. We are a friendly household with a teen, a large and loud but friendly dog, 3 chickens and a small spray-free veggie garden. Our place is located adjacent to and overlooking beautiful NZ bush as well as stunning views over Wellington harbour. We split our time between our house in Lower Hutt and our bach on the Kapiti Coast about 45min North of Wellington. There is an easy train connection to Wellington from there. We have had people from Singapore, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Martinique, Italy, France, Tahiti, Malaysia, Peru, Korea, Taiwan, China, Czech Republic, Argentina, UK, Austria, USA and Catalonia stay with us and always had great fun. We require 4 hrs work from you every day, doing a variety of jobs around the house, the section (garden) and help with the animals. Kia ora travelers! My whare (home) is in the middle of beautiful Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native rainforest, birds and organic gardens. We build this eco house using local clay (adobe in-situ), green roofs, and much help from volunteers. We did a lot of 'woofing' ourselves, before settling here in the rural Far North. Honeymoon Valley is quiet, perfect to enjoy nature and country living. The closest shop, the famous "Bush Fairy Dairy", is 7 km away, Taipa Beach 20 km, and Auckland 350 km. If you have no car, I can pick you up from the bus station in Taipa. I am part of the Honeymoon Valley landcare (honeymoonvalleylandcare.org.nz/). We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. You can help also me with organic, permaculture gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit trees, mowing, brush-cutting, compost-making, maintenance and fixing things (basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, chopping firewood, etc. I ha...

We have a small beekeeping business. We have a large organic vegetable garden and fruit trees. Because of life circumstances, our garden needs a lot of work to get it to its former glory, but we are still managing to grow some vegetables in amongst the chaos. As the autumn advances, we begin pruning our trees and clearing away the prunings. We eat mostly our own meat and eggs. We have 20 chickens and 1 dog who loves humans. We eat healthy food, but love treats too. We make our own yoghurt, kombucha, and kimchi, and love to try new foods. Our home is an old farmhouse cottage, which is homey, with a woodburner. Accommodation is in the house in a spare room. We need help with gardening, property maintenance, beekeeping, and other jobs associated with beekeeping. Currently, the jobs are in the honey shed, helping with extracting the honey, cleaning and tidying the shed, etc. We are a short walk from the village and the Waiau River. There are some good walks nearby. We would like to host ...

In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 27,000) which contests the annual sunshine record every year. Most of the work is outdoors, constantly var...

Our farm has a 2000sqm glasshouse that has a variety of strawberries, chillis and peppers that are grown using organic sprays and utilising predators under the IPM programme. Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

I am a single mum with half-time care of my engaging and fun 12-year-old daughter plus full-time care of our delightful little dog. I'm looking looking for someone (or a couple) to join us from the 11th of May for 8 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is housekeeping tasks (dishes, laundry, gardening etc) that keep a home running smoothly while I work full time, plus some after school days looking after my daughter and/or driving her when required. Abigail is a lovely girl (& no, it’s not just us who think so!) She loves reading, board and card games, adventures, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys hanging out with our international helpers and has created many firm friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. The household tasks are general housekeeping and gardening. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from school or activities, so a full license is required. I also have an elderly mum who occasionally needs assistance...

Kia ora guys, We live in a small west coast beach village about 35-40 minutes from central Auckland called Muriwai Beach. It is one of NZ`s most stunning and wildest beaches. We have a half acre section that always needs little things doing and the house is slowly being worked on as well so experience in building or skilled labour is always cool as well as people who like to work in the gardens and landscape. We have a daughter who is 11 years old who loves playing in the outdoors, tending her veggie garden and meeting people from all over the world. If you like the beach and the wild west coast then I`m sure you will love it out here. I work in the television and film industry while my partner is a a musician. Drop us a line and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe you can come out and share some of the magic that we feel living here. Cheers. Toby, Moana and Manawanui.

We have a 1.4 hectare (4-acre) lifestyle block (mini-farm) close to the Hamilton city boundary. Our location is great for day trips to Raglan, Hamilton Gardens, and Hobbiton. For helpers without their own car, there is a bus stop about 15-minutes walk from our house, we might be available to help with a ride to the bus stop, and we drive into town a couple days as week as well. We have horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, a rabbit and a pet bird. We are establishing gardens, growing food, following permaculture and organic practices. There is always a wide variety of tasks to suit any helper/s, and the task timeframes are very flexible for weather and sightseeing. Outdoors there is often some weeding to be done, other garden tasks, maintenance and improvements. A cheap pair of Kiwi gumboots is recommended, and these can usually be found second hand at resource recovery centres (dump shops) or Kmart. In summer months we need help with blueberry picking, and we have access to the nearby...

Kia ora! Seeking help all through the year. The home is a large Oamaru stone villa where my 19yr old son and our tabby cat live with me. Our work does take us away from home from time to time and we need a bit of help to maintain the existing gardens, and to redevelop the pool area and vegetable gardens. We host small events occasionally and sometimes run garden tours. We have around 2 acres of garden - mainly flowers, hedges and mature trees with a pond which plays host to gold fish and attracts numerous dragonflies, I hear a frog occasionally but haven't found it yet! The gardens are very tranquil. Happy to give days off around hiking etc. Ideally, you'll have a bit of garden knowledge, but most importantly you'll be fit, have initiative and a willingness to muck in and help outdoors. The majority of work will be weeding, pruning, trimming. I expect 4 hours of productive work each day in exchange for accommodation, breakfast provisions for you to help yourself to, lunch and ...

Welcome to paradise! This is a gorgeous 1960’s cottage that looks over native bush and the ocean with a 180 degree view. It’s a three minute walk to the beach and a ten minute walk via coastal tracks to Oneroa centre, where you can do food shopping and find cafes. 3 min walk to bus stop. It’s very peaceful yet central, and north facing so sunny. I need help cleaning the house and also occasionally outdoor work but can only accommodate people for a few days at a time. No long stays at all because my son stays with me 50% of the time and you would have his room when he is not here. This is a non-smoking house. Open to females only. No single males thank you. Upcoming available dates: 4th/5th May; 8th/9th/10th May; 15th/16th May. Please only message about these dates at the moment thanks.

Hi, it's Barbara here. Thank you for reading my blurb. I would happily look at helpers this winter 25...So if that interests you I would love to hear from you. I have a 20-year vision to turn my 1.2ha lifestyle block into a sanctuary for me, the birds, the bees and anything else living. All this including developing a vegetable garden based on permaculture principals. Currently at year three and I am trying to be organic (apart from the dreaded blackberry). I live by the motto - Don't be afraid of going slowly; be afraid of not moving. So, I have grand visions moving forward, and this is where I could do with a bit of help. My section is a work in progress, and I would love assistance with some of those transformation processes, as well as day to day garden and house maintenance depending on the season. Some of the work may include: Tree planting and releasing Creating gardens and beds Mowing and edging lawns Weeding Making compost bins Feeding the worms Outside house maintenance: ...

We are looking for help in the garden and some house cleaning. We are a family of four with a large house and garden. The house was built in the 1850's and has been fully restored. Our home is situated within a farm and it's in the beautiful Banks Peninsula area. Akaroa is a short drive away. We have lots of Autumn jobs - We are looking for keen gardeners and help around the house. We are myself Brigid, my husband Mark and our daughter Livi - our other daughter Alyana is travelling but comes home for visits. We love to travel and we love meeting new people. We enjoy sharing dinners and good conversations. We also have a small dog Alfie and a cat called Kitty Mu Mu. We can provide accommodation and some meals. We prefer to have a couple. Most of the work will be in the garden and housekeeping. I love it when other people cook. It is best if you have a car as you can then explore the fabulous Banks Peninsula. We are in a quiet Bay and Akaroa is close by with restaurants, shops and adv...

We are bi-lingual English/German with some rudimentary French. Work involves general housekeeping, help around the house, looking after the chickens, weeding, possibly ...

Hi Helpers, We are on a lifestyle block, 18km from Wanaka where we grow trees, vegetables and are building a restaurant too! We are offering a retro caravan for sleeping with a super comfortable double bed and a luxery feather down duvet, or you can stay in your own sleeping van. We have well provisioned camp ground facilities with all you need to self cater. There is a space in the shed to hang out in and enjoy the rural tranquility.
