My farm boarders the Paparoa National Park and only a few minutes walk to fantastic beaches. The spectacular Nile valley caves are only 5 minutes away. The kikuyu grass is going crazy around the young trees in my orchard, choking them, and I currently cannot get down to ground level to clear it because my knees are in a tantrum. Would really appreciate help with that. Also decided to build individual wind shelter for the most affected fruit trees, this requires some strength and I am struggling with it - much to my dismay. 10 years ago I had no problems with that kind of thing :-( We have one spare bedroom with en-suite - so it's one visitor, or a couple who are comfortable sharing a queen sized bed. Our busy family lives in Waipara, North Canterbury. 1 hour drive from Christchurch, 1 ½ hour from Kaikoura and 45 mins from Hanmer. Having a car would be helpful. We’d love some help both inside our home and outside in our large organic vegetable garden and around our yard. Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu, which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating. We grow our own veggies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish. now only two the cat ate one The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks has a meditation spot .. One of the things we do is collect sea food to make yummy meals. i have a self contained chalet, with a log fire. We do all sorts of jobs like gardening, building projects and what ever comes along. Hello my name is Craig and I have an orchard just outside of Motueka. This is a 4 hectare property located at the north end of Tasman, a ten minute drive to the Abel Tasman walk and the beautiful beaches that surround this area. Here I grow cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, apples and pears. Nearly always need help or if you are interested in growing food then let me know and I will see what I am up too. We are a hybrid family with a 13-year-old daughter with us 50% of the time and 2 personality filled cats. We are looking for someone to join us in July for 4 weeks (or longer). The assistance needed is help around the house and to be home when Abigail gets home from school. During the school holidays, there will be more time with Abigail. Abigail is a kind and gentle young teenager. She loves reading, board and card games, baking, the trampoline... she's easy to have fun with. She enjoys our international helpers and has created many friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Sometimes you are required to assist with getting Abigail to and from activities, so a full license is preferred. The overall help requested is a couple of hours per day, Monday to Friday.
