Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bike,(s), pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter to The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. ...

Dear HelpXers, We don't host volunteers very often anymore. So, if we can't accept you, it is because we are either not at home, have other people staying with us or are simply too busy or tired to host. Please don't take it as a personal rejection. We have already had many people living with us: au-pairs, couchsurfers and bewelcomers, helpXers etc. It has always been a great experience for us to bring the world into our house. We learn so many new aspects and the children got very open-minded. They are already grown ups (born in 2002 and 2003) and work in their jobs. Our son lives abroad, our daughter still at home. Still, we are a happy family and you might meet one / some / or all of us. Usually, you will only meet the "oldies" at home ;-) We are looking for someone who * stays for 1-2 weeks (staying longer only if your skills match our needs) * is experienced with cleaning (this will be at least 80% of your job) * and other duties such as repairing things, garden duties or com...

During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. The Halloween event is different - full days which include trailer loading/unloading, construction, using power tools, painting, costume/makeup work, decorating, animatronic setup, and helping to deliver the food and funds collected to the foodbank after the event is over. We've never had a Helpxer regret the experience and all have said they want to come back and do it again one day because it was such an awesome experience! Ideal for enthusiastic and creative people who want to work in a big team environment with laughter, jokes, productivity and a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. A love of Halloween and horror movies is not necessary - just an open heart and mind and a willingness to be a part of something bigger than yourself! :) Hello...

Looking for a lovely volunteer to join us and our animals. AVAILABILITY FROM EARLY APRIL.. We are fully booked until then. Please contact us if you are interested in helping look after our wonderful animals. Experience with horses is useful but not necessary as long as you are happy to care for them. You will live as part of the family - during your stay, our home will be your home. We are a married couple living on a property with our DOGS, HORSES and some elderly but treasured chickens. Depending on the time of year, we also run a small scale rescue and rehabilitation centre for hedgehogs. There are stunning views looking out over a Devon Wildlife Nature Reserve and beautiful countryside. We live in a very attractive rural area of Devon on the outskirts of a beautiful old village called DOLTON (please look on "Google Earth") about a 45 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. Rural in Romania Live in and around nature, help shape an interesting place. Expect to: live in rough conditions, find hard work and be in a remote place. If some of the things in the first paragraph appeal to you and you’re not to scared of the things in the second you might enjoy coming and helping here. The Place is a traditional house at the very end of a village in the old Romanian and Magyar tradition and deep in the middle of nature. Me and my brother bought it after was empty for 20 years- it endured some decay and the surroundings got wilder. We managed to save it by fixing the roof and have since conserved it and, as much as we could, take care of the surroundings. Now it's time to bring more life and make use of the place. I am Dan, studied as an architect and now working in wood. My family is from this village and my life is divided between the city and the area of Kalotaszeg(a cultural area with it's own traditions and way of life) where i try to make somethin...

We have a basic but lovely country home located by the Rangitikei River. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest shop in Hunterville as well as our local pub which is located about 10 minutes away. My husband and I have a 3 year old son Joseph and a 1 year old baby Makayla. We do our best to live off the meat that we hunt and the vegetables we grow. I'm looking for someone to help out with our veggie garden and with general work around the house or with projects that I might be doing at the time of your stay. Our wood shed is currently in need of some repairs so if you are someone that is interested or has experience in building or repairs then you would be a great fit however if this job wouldn't suit you then there's plenty of other chores to do. You'd be looking at around 4 hours of help per day in exchange for food and accommodation. We live on my husband's parents Deer, Sheep and Beef farm. We have 2 pet dogs and a few working dogs as well as some very friendly pet sheep. Che...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Need help.with a garden clean up.at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. This is a homestead, on the side of a mountain, off grid and remote. We have power provided by a small solar system and a wind generator. There is hot and cold running water and a washing machine on site. There is also WiFi as power allows. Your stay here would require 4 hours of work daily Monday through Friday in exchange for lodging. Meals can be provided as well. Duties vary but would consist of tasks necessary to keep up the gardens, tend goats and chickens, fencing projects, and building and maintenance of farm structures. The view here is amazing and the National Forest is within walking distance. I also provide transportation to and from many local camping sites to enjoy in your off time and can loan gear if needed. I need helpers. The farm is always a work in process as is life. It is located in North Central Washington State and the closest town of Tonasket is 27 miles away. There is a small cabin with guest space in the loft, a travel trailer, plenty of tent space ...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

We're offering off grid accommodation to an individual (or couple) interested in hospitality and light farming/grounds maintenance/recreational trail building. I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu, which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating. We grow our own veggies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish. now only two the cat ate one The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks has a meditation spot .. One of the things we do is collect sea food to make yummy meals. i have a self contained chalet, with a log fire. We do all sorts of jobs like gardening, building projects and what ever comes along. If you have a special skill that could help me in my home or property, let me know.... and of course socializing, conversation and music with a nice glass of wine, all in a relaxed way of life. If you are a happy, talkative type person feel free to get in touch:-) cheers tony

Hello my name is Craig and I have an orchard just outside of Motueka. This is a 4 hectare property located at the north end of Tasman, a ten minute drive to the Abel Tasman walk and the beautiful beaches that surround this area. Here I grow cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, apples and pears. Nearly always need help or if you are interested in growing food then let me know and I will see what I am up too. I also rent accommodation on a weekly basis for anyone here for the fruit picking season. There is shared rooms and double rooms. Thanks Craig.

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring.A wicked sense of humor is a good asset to bring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need your own internet connection as I don't supply wifi. ,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters !! .please don`t apply unless you intend to come for a minimum stay of two weeks. One person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. I am off grid and totally dependent on solar, so you have to charge your devices during the day and definitely no hairdryers ! Accommodation is a house bus in warmer weather or a room in the house in winter, not shared usually. Lastly I also play the guitar ( badly ) and sing ( worse ) ,but it's all about smile not style :-) Cheers Al

Hi Folks, We have a variety of hands-on jobs. Gardening, some painting, and odd jobs. So if you are practical and good with your hands and tools please get in touch. Our home is big with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and has a tennis court, swimming pool, sauna, a small cinema, Babyfoot table and a giant pool / snooker table and a lovely river and a great swing bridge too. We also have chickens and our cat Cous Cous. Your bedroom is private, big and has a queen size bed, desk, chairs, WiFi and Netlix. You also have your own private toilet and shower. We provide and cook all your meals (which often include meat....). In exchange if you can put in a mornings hard work we would be very grateful. We normally work 4 to 4.5 hrs a day, finishing at lunchtime. Get in touch now and see if we can work out some dates to suit you. Regards, Justin and Julia.

Hola todas! My place is an old grain mill with half a hectare of land. I live here for more than 17 years and hosted many volunteers. Work is mostly in the garden. Weeding, digging, planting, watering, harvesting and off course eating. There is a big cat family living on the land. Help in the kitchen is welcome. Special dietary requirements must be met by the helpers. In the area there are many activities possible. More yoga teachers than there are yoga students. Meditations, dancing, healing, massage, channeling, singing,....! Many communities of all sorts (hippy, midwives, subud, soefie). Hiking in all directions. Even skiing starting beginning of December. I try to keep a healthy environment, so no drugs that cloud your spirit. No dogs either. People mostly stay between one and two weeks. Work is about 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. Food and lodging included. Flexible. Work depends on peoples abilities. During summer months (June until September) I don't host because of high te...

Kia Ora to you Please come stay so you can get to know some Aucklanders and our inner city fun and funky neighbourhood, I really appreciate having people to stay from Helpx to help with some of the jobs of maintaining an old wooden villa and garden. The garden is based on permaculture principles. My home is in Grey Lynn in a central part of Auckland. Close to cafes, bars, and the Auckland Zoo.The bus route is excellent. I also have bikes you can use to get around the city. You will be sharing our house with us and have your own room. I run Air BnB in the other rooms so there will be other guests in the house. Many are on the Working Holiday Visa looking to establish themselves and get sorted when they arrive or are leaving New Zealand. We like to cook and eat together when it suits everyone. Ours is a busy social house and you can be part of what is going on - if that suits you. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom are all shared with the other guests and of course you. The H...

I am a full-time artist with a lake-front home and studio in a remote location on Quadra Island with occasional artists visiting or helping with production in the studio. My husband and I have hosted more than 80 helpers over the past 16 years. To our delight many of them have come back for return visits. Larry died in April’21 and I am determined to find a way to stay here in our bit of paradise. I'm needing help not only in the studio and with the housework, but with all the tasks he normally undertook: house repairs, firewood processing, planting and caring for the garden. Ideally a couple who can share those capabilities would be perfect. The studio help requires attention to detail and may involve help with framing, assembling gift cards, or preparing canvases and etching plates. Help with preparation for and perhaps participation in the summer and fall art shows may be needed. My website can provide more information. A month long minimum stay is suggested. We have a kay...

Hi, I would like help around 21st April. I live in beautiful Coromandel town where I’ve created a small urban food forest based on permaculture principles. It’s a constantly evolving space full of fruit trees, edible plants and wildlife, and I enjoy sharing it with people who are interested in gardening, nature and simple living. I’m looking for 1 person to stay for a few days at a time (usually 3–4 days) and lend a hand with a mix of garden and household tasks. This might include food forest maintenance, light gardening, helping keep the space tidy, window cleaning or general housework. Nothing too heavy — just practical help to keep things running smoothly. You’ll be staying in my small, relaxed home and will have your own bedroom with a king single bed. We share the bathroom and living areas. My home is right in Coromandel town, within easy walking distance to the shops, cafés and harbour, and only a few minutes’ drive to some beautiful beaches and bush walks. In exchange for...

📌 Before messaging us: ✈️ Please make sure you’ve checked flight and ferry options to Corsica – it’s a beautiful island, but not always the easiest to reach! ⸻ 👋 Hi there! We’re Thibaut, a French architect and photographer, and Jelena, a Canadian-Croatian PhD student in circular economy. Along with our two little adventurers – Oscar (4) and Ayla (almost 2) – we’re building our dream: an eco sanctuary nestled in the heart of the Corsican mountains. We’ve recently started working on our 7,000 m² property, where we plan to build: • Our family home (using natural and low-tech building techniques) • Two tiny houses for guests • A natural swimming pool • A syntropic forest garden We’re looking for motivated, hands-on people to join the adventure and help us bring this vision to life. Whether you’re experienced or a complete beginner, you’re welcome – Thibaut is great at explaining and guiding the building process, and you’ll always learn by doing. ⸻ 🌱 Cultural exchange and lea...

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life. Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run restaurants, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us. We all work together in our houses and at our Deli. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses where we live and the Deli always needs constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us. We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts. We sing a wide variety of songs we've written and we dance there to express our joy. We give...

So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its various colourful shades. For References - ask for my other volunteer site profile. My passion is film making but still I am trying to develop my spiritual understanding. Sametime in support of growing world awareness of organic life or climate changes comes as a beginning of a new era.

We give...
