We need 2 kinds of help... have a close look and choose what suits you best :) 1) In Tozu where we run a 5 table little country restaurant in the middle of the mountains. I need help when I am busy with the 6 year old who has some tamdrums getting better. Also with cleaning and maintenance... peeling hazle nuts? everything in general. Oh now in Tozu we got a very very old building that needs a lot to make it liveable and cosy, the house is very old, with some wholes but a shower room, a piano a kitchen with a fire on the floor, 3 bedrooms and electricity! You will have your own bedroom in our little apartment above the bar. We don't live in this apartment but we use it when bar is open. Meals will be provided at lunch or when ii is possible and we are in the bar, but when not we can just provide you with the food needed to cook in...

We are on a mission here to build a beautiful vegan community, dedicated to thinking about climate change and how to be Better People. This year we will be finishing the running water, the hot showers and the vineyard! You can come and learn everything there is to know about self sufficiency - water, energy, food and more. At the minute, I can offer either accommodation only, in exchange for about 8 - 10 hours a week, or a more traditional work-exchange of food and board and all that goes with it in return for 5 hours a day doing the things which need to be done! We cook and eat together as much as you want The barracks are a disused former East German military installation for housing the troops of the inner-German border. I moved in here in March 2019 and we are trying to replace the energies with something more loving. The Volunteer Suite has 6 comfortable bedrooms and a kitchen. It's clean and cosy. And the warmest part of the barracks due to all the curtains and soft furnishin...

I am really busy at the moment so my ability to cook is way less than I'd like - which if you read my reviews, I LIKE to do! I see it as my "job" to take care of you, while you're helping me. HOWEVER, I am so busy I want to offer a slightly different way of doing things. Please read on and see if it suits you.. I propose you work 2.5 hours per day instead of the usual 4.5 and I will make you a yummy lunch but you will be independent of me for breakfast and dinner. You will have a comfortable self contained "cabin" with a kitchenette (and bathroom) as well as unlimited wifi, and there will be some pantry items in there, such as cereal, bread, soup, pasta etc for you to make use of. So obviously you'll need to buy some ingredients to cook your other meals each day, but I think it will be a fair "trade" for the shorter work days. We work 7 days a week but there’s flexibility in how we manage our time. Ie.; you might like to do 5 hours work then take the next day off to explore the reg...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working it Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. We average 2/3 hours a day from Monday to Friday and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week. Free coffee, tea and a simple breakfast (i.e. Cereal, toast) usually available. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc.). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and how long you would like stay. We can ...

Hello! Update 4th July. Have guests for next week or so (to confirm soon). I'm looking for help with a sewing project to sew 3 queen size duvets and pillow cases (material from a trip to Japan), and / or some gardening help. Thanks for your interest if you've had a look at this profile. A quick mention a stay suits people who like cats 🐈‍⬛ and 🐕 dogs. I also kindly ask not to vape or smoke inside the house or bedroom 🏠 . Welcome to do so outside. Thanks! About the stay: A large section in the suburbs with a small established native forest and a plethora of native birds and birdsong.  As you arrive it will look like you are in suburbia but the property backs onto a small forest which is peaceful and green!  There is a great forest walk close by. The train and mall are 20 mins walk away and the bus to the city stops at the top of the street. Piha is a short 20 min drive over the Waitakere Mountains. For those without a car - I can drop to the city or pick up around my wor...

The house is centrally located and everything is in walking distance within 10 min: The supermarket, the famous Hot Pools and access to the beautiful forest surrounding the village. We have a small guest room and looking ideally for a friendly, reliable person that would like to help with looking after my vibrant son who has special needs (mild autism, ADHS) mainly, help him with daily tasks, help him with writing, and also possibly help with some light gardening and cooking (only if you enjoy this, too). This is a Standardbred Horse stud located at the foot of the Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We welcome working holiday visa holders with horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses!! Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our standardbred racehorses, yearlings, broodmares and stallions. Feeding, grooming, mucking out etc. Ideal helpers will be positive and willing. We enjoy meeting enthusiastic people that really want to get involved on the farm and learn how we do things. Day to day life on the farm is easy going, and we encourage our travellers to enjoy their down time exploring all the area has to offer, such as walks in the national park and rainforest or swimming in the creeks and waterfalls. There will be plenty of time for playing pool, horse riding, swimming in our indoor pool, meeting our lovely big family and getting involved in the backyard cricket matches! We...

We started our Vineyard back in 2004,it is located in a Beautiful,Quiet,Valley along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. We have five children that have now grown and moved out on there own. I just retired from a career of Process Instrument Work at the local power plant. I could use some help with the Vineyard and Gardens, but also enjoy fishing and boating on the river in the evenings and of course days off. We would be willing to supply your own bedroom, great meals and WiFi. We also have two Female Collies that love to get brushed and played with. The ideal person would have to be able to work on there own or in a small group, after some training of course to get you up to your comfort level, so as you basically understand what the goals might be for the time of year and tasks at hand, a five hour day,if the weather permits, is what we usually work . There might be a few longer days, but I`m sure that having time off to check out the area won`t be any problem. If you would care t...

I live on 2 acres/1 hectare in the hills district of Brisbane approximately 30 minutes from the airport and CBD. My home is nestled near the top of a hill which is wrapped around by forestry trails which you walk out the back gate to. so has wonderful views out over to Moreton Bay in the east and Glasshouse Mountains in the north and over the twinkling lights of the suburbs of a night. My place is very peaceful and very close to nature with many birds. My late husband and I created vegetable, fruit and flower gardens from a bush block. As it takes a lot of work to look after, I would appreciate help with basic outdoor jobs or jobs around the place. It is very peaceful. At my homestay the exchange for accommodation is 3 hours a day with help from Monday to Friday, weekends are free. If you like to do more hours on the weekend to have more time free in the week this can be negotiated, I can help you find local paid work doing gardening, general outdoor and some indoor w...

We live on a 10 acre lifestyle property with various animals, both pets (cats) and chickens. At times we also raise calves and pigs. We are developing our orchards, so far Feijoas, Apples, Hazelnuts., Plums. Other fruits around the house orchard and still planting. Mainly outdoor work, weeding, mulching, planting. Helping a bit around the animals, cleaning out, etc. We have a vegetable garden, produce depending on the season. Sometimes work includes housework, cleaning, sanding, etc. We are renovating our house, an old villa. We offer accommodation and meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner (main meal is in the evening) for 4-5 hours work per day, flexible as to how it works out, can be 8 hours one day and off the next. No public transport, so if you want to get out and about often, then own transport needed. Papakura or Pukekohe (20mins drive) are the closest for trains or buses. **Last-minute availability as our helpers for July had to change their travel plans. Available now until 27th July ** Sorry, no availability August to December We would love to welcome HelpX guests to stay with us for 2+ weeks. I (Rebecca) am a secondary school teacher and John works away from home 4 days a week. Our children (17&19) are taking a gap year and spending some time at home and travelling. We have three small dogs and two cats who all love visitors. We would welcome some help as we renovate our home, in the garden and also painting inside and outside (quite a lot of painting!). We would like to repair garden walls, weed flower beds, painting outside and indoors, reorganising rooms indoors before or after painting, and other projects like this. We would also really welcome a little help with basic tasks around the home while you are with us - empty dishwasher/vacuum floors/wipe surfaces/put out recycling - as our lives can be busy on weekdays! 5 hours work, 4 days a...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! Hello! My name is Hugo and I live on the slopes of San Pedro volcano in Guatemala, in a wild and truly isolated area of Lake Atitlan, accessible only by water. There are no roads, no close neighbors and no noise. Just pure nature, the songs of birds and a stunning beach. I’m on a journey to build a home in this paradise. Most of the time, I share this space with volunteers, some chickens, a c...

*** Looking for someone with a background in nursing or physiotherapy to support after a hip implant*** We have an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. We also have a forest where we work and tidy up occasionally. So we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. We love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider and lately also green tea. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arr...

My husband, Tony, and I are very happy to offer self-contained accommodation for short stays of one or two weeks for travellers who would like to explore the beautiful Yarra Valley or who are in between jobs (Often longer stays are possible depending on whether we have friends coming to stay and using the studio.) Our property, Lavender Farm, is about 6 kilometers from the small tourist town of Healesville in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is wine-growing region at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges. It is about 1 hour by car or 1.5 hours by public transport from Melbourne. We have a lemon orchard, vegetable garden, and horse paddocks. We are not a commericial lavender farm although we have a lot of lavender growing in the gardens. There are some rescue horses (not rideable) and a pony , chickens, family dogs and a swimming pool (which is mainly usable November-March given Melbourne weather). Our daughters are grown up and living in Melbourne so we normally just see th...

....now building our team for harvest beginning around mid Oct 2025... Our olive hill farm is in Provence, 95 acres of Mediterranean olive groves and woodland. We also have a self-catering holiday Gite (an apartment) and we are only 24km from Mediterranean beaches on the Cote d Azur. In fact, you can see the sea in the distance from the olive groves and from the little cabanon near the house which is where helpers stay! The farmhouse is at the top of a secluded valley backed by a dramatic circle of cliffs in the form of a horseshoe which protects it from the Mistral winds, and we are only 2km from the village which you can see down in the valley. The views are amazing... And behind the house there are 3,000 ha of national forestry with walks in an unspoiled and protected natural environment full of wildlife: wild boar, roe deer, foxes, martens, buzzards, hawks and several eagles among all the other lesser species. OLIVE HARVEST (mid Oct - mid Dec) is the most important time of year...

Permaculture Nursery seeking help starting around July 6th. Our nursery specializes in rare perennial vegetables and salad plants, and other useful plants for low-maintenance edible landscapes. We have demonstration gardens that we eat from, and workshops on how to design low-maintenance, self-fertile edible ecosystems. We practice permaculture and forest gardening, and we're trying to make a productive homestead that's also ecologically rich and diverse. We love experimenting with new plants and have extensive experience growing a wide range of unusual and delicious edibles. You'd be staying in an old farmhouse, a few steps from the wild Beaver river where you can swim or go canoeing. We're located in the Beaver Valley, which is a beautiful, natural and very wild piece of the Niagara Escarpment. Come join the fun!

Since we started this program we saw alot of changes and the children are motivated to come and learn to our school We run a nursery school and an education Centre where we help these children to have better early education as we believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school e...

I need help between The 20th of July for four weeks please. I am looking for somebody to be able to stay on my property while I am overseas so that my labradors can have some company during the daytime. You would have your own room and a shared bathroom In the evening a previous helper who now stays in my house and has a daytime job, comes home. So in the evenings you would have some company. During the daytime I am not able to leave the dogs alone for the whole day so your job really is to just Chill out and be their company. It is quite important that you should have your own transport because there is no bus service. General description. I hope that my reviews will fill you with confidence that the exchange will be good for you and for me. I will look after you with good food and comfort in exchange for some work. I have ten acres with some part of that being a large garden and pond. There is always work to do outdoors which can range from gardening, hedge trimming, mowing, and p...

We like being active and in nature, we go a lot for walks and bike rides and we love good food. We are a multi-lingual family and speak english, german and french.

The garden is exploding! Have chicken eggs under a hen. Baby ducklings just hatched. Just started raising meat rabbits- trying to combine small hutches with larger day time caging. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft hand built caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. It is my dream to be fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, solar heated outdoor shower and bathtub , more food forest which includes the polycultural food and medicinal garden, wattle n daub guesthouse, and more. You will sleep in my tent or the living space of the caravan[ I sleep in the loft bed]- or vice versa. Bathing and toiletting are rustic/primitive. I have NO fridge or freezer. My diet is organic, seasonal , omnivorous and sugar, nightshade , dairy and gluten free. I have chickens and ducks for eggs and meat. I will expect 12-1...

We are looking for someone or a couple to come stay with us. Asking for 2 weeks or longer. Doesn't matter to us :) Anytime between April-Sept 2025 My name is Krysalynne, born and raised in the area and my partner Jean-Yves Boucher is Quebecois from south of Montreal and our handsome son Desmond who joined us Sept 2022. We also have very friendly cats named Espresso, Clover, Digits & Rio. Plus 4 very cute kune kune pigs. We have both traveled much of the world and loved it! We stayed at numerous helpx hosts as we traveled, learning so much, and meeting so many amazing people! It has always been a dream of ours to open our very own bed and breakfast and host other travelers. We finally opened our bed and breakfast 7 years ago and we thoroughly enjoy it! We would love for others to experience the spectacular, wilderness beauty of the Wells Gray Provincial Park and surrounding area. We require a few extra helping hands to finish some projects we would like to complete on our property. ...
