Update, possible accommodation available for kiwifruit staff. My caravan is available, not fancy but clean & waterproof. I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen. I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws. The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority ...

I, Christine, have been working all my life as a language and Art teacher. Since I retired I work as a naturopath. I am living with my daughter Bess on an urban block. I am maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I occupy with her one of the three buildings on the property. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and have good conversations around the dinner table.. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom. Since we are on tank water I respectfully ask visitors to be water conscious when showering. The tasks: Depending on the season the vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, weeding, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and cleaning various...

Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm Dutch. After having lived for the majority of my life in cities I wanted to roam around with Helpx, so I did. However, I fell in love with the first place where I stayed, many years ago. A very small rural village in Bavaria, Germany, at the Czech border. I rented the huge house and intend to stay here, with my little dog, for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful hilly area and the forests invite for long walks in which you may spot deer, lynxes, boars and other animals. Public transport ends in Weiden (train) or Lohma (bus), but I have a car, can pick you up and drop you off. Plenty to see within reasonable distance like Nuremberg, Regensburg, Munich, and Prague. Ski and snowboard centre at 7 km distance and lots of others a bit further away. In the holiday season, Christmas markets can be found everywhere. You will have your own room (with WIFI) and a shared bathroom, and you are welcome to the rest of the house too. I‘ll try to cook for you what yo...

We are on 200 acres, 45 minutes from the Christchurch airport. Running breeding cattle and calf rearing this year. I have damaged my knee playing rugby, so looking for a little bit of help around the farm and calf rearing over August-October. We also have dogs, chickens, sheep, cats, and we have horses if you are interested in riding. Accommodation is a separate cosy unit or an option to stay in the main house This farm is 6km from Oxford township, offering a range of amenities, including a library, supermarket, gym, pub, wine bar, and two cafes that serve great coffee. Oxford is vibrant with outdoor activities like bush hiking, mountain biking, horse trekking, fishing, jet boating, and hunting. It would be advisable to have your own transport, but not essential.

In northern Spain, on the CAMINO DE SANTIAGO, we are running an albergue/ hostel for pilgrims, for the 8th year in 2025. It is located right ón the original Camino Primitivo, so pilgrims will pass here on their way to Santiago de Compostela. If you want to be a part of a wonderful Camino-experience in 2025 (apr - okt), please read on.. ABOUT US..: Between beautiful mountain slopes, the albergue/ hostel is situated in the heart of the small pueblo of Salas (Asturias). We sometimes have up to 35 pelgrims staying, divided into 3 shared and 5 private rooms. In high season, more than 250 pilgrims pass every day, after sometimes having walked for more than 2 weeks. Some of them will stop to relax and regain their energy. We'll support them with healthy home-made food, fresh drinks and a big smile. We will offer them a vegetarian communal diner in the evening (for which we have great reviews!!) and an energy-boosting breakfast in the morning. Some of it is donation-based (no charge), s...

Hello, we are Cat and Silvan, who is 6 years old. We live on an organic permaculture farm in the Pyrenees in the south of France. The property is situated in a small hamlet of 8 houses bordering a wild forest including chestnut, ash, oak, acacia and cherry. We grow much of our own fruit and vegetables and collect hazelnuts, walnuts, mushrooms and wild herbs from the forest. I cut my own wood and much of the wood used in the construction has been harvested from the land. We have 5 goats and friends graze their horses during the summer months. I enjoy eating fresh food from the garden and like to be creative with dishes with what can be sourced locally rather than necessarily going to a big supermarket. We buy locally and organic where possible to supplement what we have in the garden. When there are more of us here we often do a rotation of cooking, which is great as we get to taste each others variations and be inspired. If you are not confident in cooking don't worry, it is a gre...

The position is available from 1 June 2025. I would like to offer accommodation for up to a week (longer stays to be negotiated) and possibly food (to be negotiated) in exchange for 3-4 hours work per day: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, minor repairs, cleaning and possibly pet sitting my little dog. Helping times are very flexible. The room is airy and comfortable, with 2 single beds. The bathroom is shared with me. I am in need of an independent person who is a self-starter and can work unsupervised. Handyperson/carpentry skills and own transportation essential, although there is a bus stop nearby. I live in a funky, eclectic beach property on a quiet street. It is a 5-minute walk to an uncrowded, beautiful surf beach with many walking tracks. The property is 8km south of Noosa, one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations. Peregian Beach village is only 3km south, with great restaurants, boutique shopping, an IGA, and a patrolled beach. Brisbane is an ho...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

We run a three bedroom accomodation located in the beautiful historic area of Kerikeri just up from the Stone Store. We are looking for preferably a single person (ranking as mature) interested in staying at the lodge and taking care of the general running of things (around 2-4 hours per day , negotiable) This is very relaxed and mostly entails greeting guests in the afternoons and showing them to their rooms (only when we have bookings), cleaning rooms if the cleaner is away, taking bookings as well as some general property maintenance. You will stay in a separate part of the lodge with full kitchen, private room and bathroom. I am generally around the lodge most days but leave in the evenings as I live with my partner out of Kerikeri. So we work as a team. This means you will likely be taking care of yourself in the evenings, so being able to cook is important. (Potentially not as social at it has been in the past when my son and his partner were living there full time) . We inc...

Stay with us by a beautiful lake, wake up to the sound of birds, enjoy the sunrise from our beach, disconnect from the noise, become more sustainable, feel the essence of nature and climb the volcano where we live. We are looking for self-sufficient and collaborative individuals to join our team of four volunteers dedicated to maintaining and guarding the property. We offer a straightforward exchange: your work in return for food. If you value independence, don't mind routine tasks, love being surrounded by nature and embrace a self-directed way of living, this could be the perfect fit for you! -------------------------------------- 📢 📢 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘: 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

CURRENTLY SEEKING A SINGLE MALE / FEMALE or COUPLE, but please feel free to ask if you have some availability either now or in the future. A MINIMUM COMMITMENT of at least one month is required please. It takes about 2 weeks to settle in and learn things plus shorter stays do not allow you to fully experience all that is on offer in our beautiful area. Katie and I own a small crofting home in the rural heart of the Scottish West Highlands in a tiny village called Lochailort and we need help all year round. A good understanding of the English language is necessary. This location is not ideal for improving or learning English, as interaction with us and others can be limited. We are always looking for willing, reliable, pro-active, self motivated and enthusiastic volunteers :) Please whatsapp our mobile number or leave a message here if you are interested in a placement with us. We are particularly keen on couples with the male having some basic building or gardening / home growing sk...

Kia Ora. I run an Angora goat farm just outside Oxford in North Canterbury. I have over 200 very cute goats which I shear for fibre twice per year. I also run smaller numbers of sheep. I farm in a sustainable way and have been trialling some regenerative agricultural practices. I am a keen outdoors person, love walking and climbing and often take helpers tramping, sightseeing, rock climbing or even rafting! I am looking for helpers from around 1st September 2025 onwards . Jobs include farm work, gardening, housekeeping, servicing and cleaning my AirBnB and learning about our farming systems. I look forward to welcoming you to the farm!

LOOKING FOR 2 PEOPLE FROM APPROX 3 SEPTEMBER FOR A WEEK. In return for 4 hours help a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond. Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine. My 40 ha property is a sheep/beef farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13km from Blenheim (pop 27,000) which contests the annual sunshine re...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. **For fast response please contact mobile through WhatsApp/ Telegram. We're on the island of La Palma, west of Tenerife, reachable by direct flights and boats and cheap connections from Tenerife or mainland Spain. Ask for travel advice! The project is set in a dramatic location surrounded by nature with panoramic views out to the sea and the UNESCO preserved coastline where there are beaches, ports and hikes all accessible from the project by walking. There's also hikes up into the mountains and Forrest above us. A little about me; I travelled on a low budget for several years throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and parts of Africa often working in seasonal positions, like in fruit orchards, to sustain my travels. I began to spend more and more time in many wonderful places though volunteering in farms and eventually I came to the decision that I wanted to create a little Eden too; Somewhere I didn't have to leave and where I could put my own personal roots in the grou...

** EXTRA PAIR OF HANDS WANTED IN EXCHANGE FOR ROOM & BOARD - WATERFRONT COTTAGE PROPERTY - Northern Ontario, Canada GREAT SCENERY - LEISURELY PACE ** BC is not the only place with Great Scenery and there is a lot less rain here. Hope you will give us a chance to show you what we are talking about. We presently have an opening available at the end of September 2025 and we will be looking for helpers to fill openings from then and well into 2026. We live on an unspoiled pristine lake in a wilderness forest area in northern Ontario Canada and are looking for a guy who is a motivated "Volunteer Visitor" who is an easy-going self starter and does not smoke and eats regular food. The opportunity we offer would be ideal for someone who loves the tranquil setting of a lakeside home surrounded by hundreds of square miles of protected forest and enjoys being in and on the water (or would like to experience "the land of ice and snow" in winter). For continuity, we prefer long term visitors ...

(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! And we've hosted volunteers from Colombia, Iran, Canada, China, Mexico, Iraq, USA, Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Japan, France, Germ...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

We live in a Christian community, meeting regularly for prayer, worship and bible study so most of our volunteers share our Christian faith. We are a residential provider of outdoor activities, owned and operated by a small charity. For most of the year we host visiting groups which come to enjoy a range of activities in the beautiful setting of the Scottish Highlands. We are located 2 hours north of Glasgow, the nearest town being Fort William, surrounded by mountains and lochs scenery. There are good road and rail connections to reach us. Volunteers working with us help with cleaning the centre, serving meals, indoor and outdoor maintenance and some grounds work. Life at the centre is quite structured, with a weekly rota and daily task lists to follow. Volunteers are asked to work between 4 and 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. When not engaged in centre duties there are opportunities for volunteers to join in organised activities alongside our groups or to explore the area. V...

Volunteer person needed to help me with everyday life of looking after animals and some gardening & basic maintenance of the farm and some house duties. I can only accommodate one person. This is a great opportunity to get away from the city life and enjoy some country living. I have cats horses and chickens. You may even have a couple riding lessons and learn a little bit about interacting with horses. Available from April to October . Meals and accommodation are supplied. Accommodation is a little caravan close by the house, which has a mini art gallery. ( if you like painting I can give you some lessons) Prefer 1 month minimum stay, but shorter stays are ok. We live in a slightly isolated quiet area being 80km from the nearest big town, but do live on the outskirts of a small town where we have a supermarket, chemist post office etc. You will need to be capable and happy to work unsupervised at times. There will be only 4-5 hours of work per day.

We inc...

Helpers will need to be confident using a self-propelled mower (not a ride-on), a light weight hedge trimmer, and a strimmer, etc. The work is all physical, (no heavy lifting), and helpxers need to be completely ok with that, as well as happy to work on your own quite a bit. General help for cleaning and gardening, washing vehicles, etc. A can-do attitude is good! We can show you how to do stuff, sometimes do stuff with you or leave you to do it alone if you're confident. Further...

Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...
