A room is available for your homestay. Because of the help I would like to ask, mature ladies who have enough experience/knowledge of handling house holding chores and cooking are welcome. No problem if you cannot cook Japanese dishes. Vegetarian is welcome only from summer to autumn. It's easy to talk about next step of your homestay if how long from when, how you can help, what you want to do during homestay in addition to help works are written in your request. I will reply to only applicants who read my profile and understand/satisfy requirements. I'm a 67 years old male living alone and have a small private organic vegetable garden. I am happy if someone can help me to maintain vegetable garden and household chores including cooking. I also can enjoy helping my guest to learn Japanese language. We can visit at sightseeing places/aesthetic landscape when we have free time. At the same time, I'm interested to hear your stories about helpx and learn foreign languages as well ...

Hello, I live in Durham, which is part of "The Triangle," along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill. This area has an amazing amount of outdoor and cultural activities. You can subscribe to the "Triangle on the Cheap" newsletter to see daily listings of the various festivals, music, farmer's markets, sports events and other activities in the area, and my daughter and I can take you to various activities as well. The Raleigh-Durham airport (RDU) is 15 minutes away, and I can pick you up or drop you off at the airport, but to visit the wide range of activities in our area, you'll probably want your own transportation. In addition, I can provide a bike, and you can hop on the 27 mile American Tobacco bike trail which is only half a mile from my house, and three miles down the trail is Southpoint Mall, which is one of the nicest malls in the Triangle, with great shops, restaurants and a movie theater, so it's fun to bike there. There are also 2 Amtrak stations nearby in Durham and Cary, and many...

Hi, I’m Keith. Since 2012, hundreds of volunteers from many countries have helped our projects. We are very grateful for their help and many have become our good friends and come back for a second, third or even fourth visit! In 2020 I started a new project in a town in Northern Ireland. It’s a campus that focuses on peace building education. Our aim is to creatively and sensitively explore the resistances to peacebuilding - knowing that such resistance can resource transformation. It’s not a commercial business, but a “not-for-profit” that needs lots of volunteers! We have three types of volunteers. 1. Volunteers - help with site work, painting, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, office work. They come for a couple of months, though sometimes a shirt as two weeks or as long as a year! 2. Interns - come for at least 2 months, often 3 or 4 months or longer, and do work such as research related to their studies, marketing, accounts, social media, fundraising and grant...

Our farm is in the mountains of Lares, a rural region in the center of the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. A town well known for the rebellion insurgency called "El Grito de Lares", also well known for the coffee plantations and the culinary festivities. Lares has great rivers, beautiful sceneries and nice climate. In this great countryside we manage an agricultural, educational and community project, Proyecto Agroecológico Campesino/PAC. Our mission has been to produce food in a sustainable way, facilitate a practical learning farm for students and share knowledge with the community. For this we work in the transformation of two acres, in an integral farm where combines crop production, animal husbandry, resource management, restoration of soil and ecosystems, inspired by the agroecological principles. We invite you to join us on our every day activities to build a sustainable farm and to share knowledge and experiences. The accommodation includes a private room with kitchen, bat...

This is a beautiful organic farm set in the spectacular mountains outside Algatocin, south of Ronda, 2 hours from Malaga. We run it as a working olive farm and rent out a gorgeous Mongolian yurt and recently restored 'casita' to nature-loving guests from around the world. My husband, Nacho, is from Malaga and I am from Bermuda. We speak Spanish with each other and generally English or French with our guests. We are easy-going, fun-loving adventurers and love travel and meeting inspiring, insightful new people. Our guests tend to be very cultured, extremely well- travelled, well-read and interesting folk. Any volunteer who comes needs to appreciate that and the level of care and attention we provide our guests given they have chosen our home as a very special holiday location for rest and recuperation as well as for exploring the Andalusian countryside and its great architectural and cultural wonders. You can see the accommodation for our paying guests at : https://www.airbnb.co.uk/...

(Note for U4U applicants -- we cannot sponsor any refugees from Ukraine at this time, but we are happy to host you if someone else can sponsor you.) ~Our Place~ We live on a beautiful piece of land in rural Texas, full of lush green hills, towering pines, oak savannahs, and wild animals, about 1 hour's drive from Austin. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living (Dad and 2 teens) in the suburbs of Newcastle, about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home (Liam - 17yo & Anna - 19yo), we enjoy cafes and going to the beach and swimming in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and Liam attends the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time renovating (fixing/building) houses, including the house we live in, and love to have people to work with. The house we live in is currently being renovated and an extension is being constructed. Right now I really need help with timber framing - putting the house together - we are currently up to the floor frames and working on getting the rest of the house extension up. Help at work: Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (norm...

Gardening, forestry We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto. We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. We have some old machinery we are always trying to keep running. We are offering free accommodation and meals in exchange for help. This is a no smoking environment.

Transforming a summer house into a place for living organically. Now the winter of our discontent is ending, transformed into a glorious spring by this Galician sun; and ....sometimes, the clouds that darkened our home disappear into the deep heart of the flat lands.... So it's time to get to work in the garden and lay cement in some places. Some tasks (not all) can be somewhat boring such as cutting and stacking firewood, removing, digging, collecting vegetable remains,... I appreciate the dexterity in physical and manual works and you need to be fit and able to use your strength efficiently. Hi, I'm looking for creative minds efficient bodies who would like to get involved on an sustainable country house project, with some animals and plenty of work to do. There's a protected little forest surrounding the house with small wild animals, and 6 domestic geese, chickens, dogs and two cats. I need help with many things; work on the greenhouse which I have designed by myself, plant...

🌿 Help Wanted: Gardening & Good Times in a Mountain Paradise Hello dear friends! Would you or a couple like to spend time in a beautiful, nature-protected area starting early September? We're looking for helping hands to bring the garden back into shape, start growing vegetables, and simply enjoy a wonderful time in the mountains. The gardening season is changing, and there's so much to do, prepare, and enjoy before autumn and winter arrive. 🐱 About the place Our lovely old farmhouse (over 200 years old!) is located in a nature-protected area in the canton of St. Gallen, about 900m above sea level.
It comes with two adorable cats: Mosquito and Findusina (adopted, she's the happy, smiley one and very talky). The altitude gives us a nice breeze in summer – you stay cool while the valleys get hot.
The house is open to all backgrounds and cultures. I personally love contributing to a global community of vegan/vegetarian and conservation awareness – sharing knowledge and life with like-...

"I'm an early retired gentleman with a wonderful garden. I have 2 free bedrooms for my volunteer guests. I can accommodate 2 people but no couples please. I have many years experience with people staying in my home and enjoy their energy and both learning from them and sharing my life experience with them. I seek people with a high level of conversational English, ideally C1 English where we can engage freely and exchange ideas and learn from each other. Ideally, helpers would have an open and curious personality, meaning that they are happy to share and their ideas about the world we live and particularly a love of nature especially plant life.. I particularly admire artists, writers and musicians. My priority is to have some company and energy in my home. Activities include long walks, board games, tending garden, watching TV shows and conversations. In general the active time will be 5 hours a day / 5 days a week. Most of the active time will be just hanging out having chats, playi...

looking for 1 or 2 helpers who would like to live and help out on my remote farm on during summer 2026 (May - October). Long-time stayers are preferred. There will be no animals in 2026 since I will move to a smaller farm not far from the town of Linz. We will mainly be busy with moving items from my big farm to the small one, all kind of household chores, helping with repair works on the house or machinery, cutting and raking grass or hey etc. Preferably we will prepare and have meals together. Hiking in the surrounding forests and short trips to neighbouring villages can be understaken in free time. The house provides basic comfort, a fireplace for cooking and heating water (for shower), an improvised bathroom and an up-to-date WC. There are 4 bedrooms on the upper floor. The helpers do not need any particular skills or experience, but should be willing and talented for manual work and should feel comfortable living upcountry far from pubs and entertainments. The nearest supermar...

The helper accommodation is a double room in a 200 year old Cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. There’s woodland above and it’s in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 35 mins walk from Stroud town centre. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep and lovely views. From the garden...great for forest walks and exploring the Cotswolds. English, Spanish and French is spoken. I have my child with me half the week.. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in an awake household. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, gardening, cooking, cleaning , or generally helping with whatever task is being done at the time, though no need of experience as I'm happy to teach techniques. Anyone with motivation ...

We live in a nature sanctuary on Corfu island in Greece. we are a COMMUNITY of PLANTS, ANIMALS AND HUMAN BEINGS, who try to live together IN THE SPIRIT OF NATURE. we are organized similar to a zen monastery. yet we are not affiliated to any religious body, but to the holy body of our mother earth. the earth takes care of us. the earth gives to us what we need. she gives us and she for-gives us – she never asks for money… we admire the communities in nature (ecosystems), where all members balance their needs and gifts in a healthy way, without money, without machines and without chemicals. here in NATURE’S SANCTUARY we try to live in harmony with nature. we try to support and protect all our nature brothers and sisters, who share this sanctuary with us… it is a CHALLENGE TO LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE. it is a challenge to protect and support all nature beings in a way, that they have the chance to live in their own natural born communities. we are looking for people, who want to take...

We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. We are looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings ca n be beautiful. Much of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped, air-conditioned, woodworking workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops, just over 100 meters from a very quiet, sandy beach.🧜‍♂️ Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weat...

We are a couple in our 60s who fatten grass-fed cattle and also have a Valais Blacknose sheep stud. Help is required at different times of the year with simple fence repairs, weed spraying (we are not an organic farm), stock work and a host of other little jobs that keep cropping up. Accommodation is a room in the house with a double bed so we are able to take a couple) and shared meals with us. Helping hours will be very negotiable and will be in exchange for meals and accommodation. We live in close proximity to the Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National parks which have international tourist fame. If you like swimming, kayaking, or bush walking, together with many other activities, these will provide you with plenty to do on days off. We would prefer someone who has some confidence with farm animals and has had experience with a quad bike but not essential- just be willing to learn, and it helps if you love animals. Otherwise everything else is pretty simple and mostly you can work a...

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM BEGIN OF AUGUST TO NOVEMBER. We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else. A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place. Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life. I’ve always felt at home out in nature, fishing, sailing or mushroom picking,. I like to work in the garden and cultivate home-grown fruits and vegetables.

Our goal is to build a community out here, starting from our extended family and friend group and beyond. We've traveled the world volunteering, hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, playing music in bands, farming, building, protesting, yogaing, truck-driving, teaching... all kinds of things. Now, we're trying to restore this piece of land to a more balanced state and to build a home, a farm, an apiary, a studio... We want this to be a place that fosters creativity, closeness to nature, silence, loudness, peace, chaos, etc.! And we've hosted volunteers from Colombia, Iran, Canada, China, Mexico, Iraq, USA, Korea, Spain, Bulgaria, Brazil, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Japan, France, Germ...

I personally love contributing to a global community of vegan/vegetarian and conservation awareness – sharing knowledge and life with like-...

looking for 1 or 2 helpers who would like to live and help out on my remote farm on during summer 2026 (May - October). Long-time stayers are preferred.

Astrid: I love living in the nature and the freedom here in Sweden. By ...
