Hello, we are a Christian family. Originally from the United states we are now starting an organic farm and Christian outreach and community center here in Costa Rica. Our Apple Farm on beautiful Bruny Island is the Island's last traditional Apple Farm, established more than 100 years ago. It contains 50 hectares of pasture, bush and orchards with 800 old grown and 200 newly planted mainly apple trees of various varieties. Work consists of apple picking in April and mowing, fencing, weeding, apple juicing and more (like fixing tractors...) all year round. Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bicycles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente antioqueño". The work is diverse and we usually ask for about 4-5 hours of help per day. Normally we do three days of work and one day off. The days start with Agnihotra and Yoga and then a hearty breakftast. We offer accommodation and three meals a day. We love food and cooking, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen preparing healthy, delicious meals. I'm Thanasis, a 45 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. Hi, we are Swiss couple, Barbra and Roberto and we live in the south of the peloponnes on a large piece of land that has fig, olive and fruit trees. We also have horses and animals so we always welcome help. Mainly we need help in the winter with the olive harvest but in the summer we need people to help us with picking figs as well. There is plenty more to do such as taking care of the animals and building work (currently we are building walls, a cage for pheasants and getting our garden ready for vegetables) and just general help with the upkeep of our land. If you come to stay there is always plenty of space. We have a new stables that has two rooms and a bathroom which you could use or in the summer people often prefer to sleep outside on one of the balconies that overlook the mountains and the sea. In 2005, my husband Terje and I, became the proud owners of this place and we spent the next 15 years renovating the property. Today we offer short-term accommodation in this historical building. Guests come to visit from all over the world. They come to Odda and the Hardanger area to experience and explore our unique landscape with glaziers, fjords, mountains, waterfalls, valleys and lakes. Hiking to Trolltunga is undoubtedly the most popular of the tourist attractions offered here in Odda. Other less famous attractions are just as breath-taking. We are a family of seven, with four daughters and a foster son, but our three eldest daughters have recently moved out to work and study.
