Would like to learn and look after a vineyard, distillery and winery this season, no experience is necessary. Established in 1998 and hosting HELPXers for over 15 years, it is the only certified organic winery in the Perth region. It is situated in the Swan Valley, 7km from Elenbrook and 15km from the Perth airport. The vineyard has 3,000 vines, a large house we live in, a machinery shed, and a winery/distillery on the property. Winemaking occurs during the summer months from January to March. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. It’s only 350km north of Brisbane and easily reachable by train. My home is only a few minutes drive from the town center, yet secluded and peaceful, sitting on 2.5 acres. Looking for someone to start in mid August. Hi, I’m a single father of two living in Baudin Beach a small seaside town located 12km from Penneshaw which is the entry point to Kangaroo Island. I have shared custody of my children, my 10 year old son is with me 3 or 4 days a week and my 2 year old daughter who I have most weekends. I owned a Backpackers for about 5 years and had great experiences there with helpx helpers so I have decided to do a home stay as I’m overwhelmed with the work I have to do around the house. Baudin Beach is a small coastal town with about 200 residence, there are no shops close by but there are Kangaroos that often hop by and the beach is about a 5 minute walk from the house. Penneshaw is the closest town with a Pub, post office, supermarket and a few cafe's. There are lots of tourist spots on the island that I can show you and I'm happy to take you on a full day tour of the island in exchange for some extra work, this will also depend on how long you stay....

Plenty of opportunities on your day off, if you have interests in fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course. We are establishing a modest permaculture garden with heritage breed chickens, their mixed offspring, Muscovy ducks and a range or of tropical fruit, vegetables and herbs.
