In early October 2026, I would like to offer accommodation for up to a week (longer stays to be negotiated) and food in exchange for 3-4 hours work per day: general maintenance, carpentry, painting, gardening, minor repairs, cleaning and possibly pet-sitting my little dog. Helping times are very flexible. The room is airy and comfortable, with 2 single beds. The bathroom is shared with me. I am in need of an independent person who is a self-starter and can work unsupervised. Handyperson and gardening skills and own transportation are essential. There is a bus stop nearby. I am a busy artist living in a funky, eclectic beach property on a quiet street. It is a 5-minute walk to an uncrowded, beautiful surf beach with many walking tracks. The property is 8km south of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations. Peregian Beach village is only 3km south, with great restaurants, boutique shopping, an IGA, and a patrolled beach. Brisbane is an hour and a h...

The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. If you’re interested in helping on a beef cattle farm, cuddling foals and experiencing the Aussie farm life, you are most welcome here. We have a number of building jobs going at the moment so if you are handy with mechanics, metal, wood or a paint brush, that would be very helpful to us. Your daily tasks would be to feed the animals in the morning and evening, and caring for the mare and foal, gardening and general farm chores or in the household. There is always something to do. It would be great if you know how to drive a manual vehicle and you can learn to drive a tractor or a quad here. In exchange you can choose between a cozy room or caravan with everything inside that you need and I provide food for all your meals. You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and in the evening we have a home cooked dinner together. We also have unlimited WiFi and a car that you can use to visit the local area. We are located on the edge of a small country town of Blayney in NSW, 3 hours w...

Would prefer an applicant who has good experience with a chain saw for low pruning. Help with social media skills if we have time. Delicious fresh food supplied and enjoy some shared meals with Bruce and Julie to share each other's lives and learn from each other. Hi, I'm Andrew, thanks for looking at our profile, We are a family of 3 living (Dad and 2 big kids) in the suburbs of Newcastle, about 15 mins drive from the beach. I have 2 kids at home (Liam - 18yo & Anna - 20yo), we enjoy cafes and going to the beach and swimming in the pool. (The photos are some of our local beaches). We also like cycling and playing games, chilling out and chatting with friends. We attend a local church each week and Liam attends the local school which is just up the road. I spend lots of my time renovating (fixing/building) houses, including the house we live in, and love to have people to work with. The house we live in is currently being renovated and an extension is being constructed. Right now I really need help with timber framing - putting the house together - we are currently up to the floor frames and working on getting the rest of the house extension up. We are a busy family household with 3 teenagers (17/2x15), nestled into the slopes of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. We have a rambling old house with a large bush garden on three acres of bush. We back onto Wellington Park, with immediate access to bush walks and nature. Our house is a fifteen-minute drive from the centre of Hobart and other service areas such as Sandy Bay or Kingston. Buses are available. Check the Metrotas website for timetables. Half our household is vegetarian (but not vegan). The others eat meat (flexibly). Food is multinational, and guests who like to cook are welcome. We have two crazy (but friendly) dogs, so guests who know not to leave doors open are appreciated. The room available is a comfortable downstairs room with its own outside access. All other facilities need to be shared. Our expectation is for 2–3 hours of light work in return for accommodation and board. Duties could include gardening, wood stacking, carpentry, painting, or cleaning. We do not ask guest...

Next vacancies likely to be 2nd week of September. We appreciate help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, help with gardening, housekeeing, cooking, duck and chicken rearing and dog walking on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling, and rainforest walks can help occupy your spare time. We hatched two goslings in mid July and are hand-rearing them, real characters! We start 4 hours outside work at 08.00 hr, five mornings a week and at 9 am on Sundays. Saturday is your day off. So most of the work will be outside, based out of a well-equipped workshop and/or in our vegetable garden and hen and duck coops. Opportunities on your day off include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, weather permitting of course, rainforest walks and river swimming (Mossman River at The Gorge) and free nature tours on crocodile spotting boats on the Daintree River with the #Daintreerivercruisecentre (as Dave sometimes drives their boats and tour-guides for them when needed). We are establishing a m...

We are near the Shoalwater Marine Park and Penguin Island 40mins from Perth city centre. Very close to public transport, cafes and library. Ideal for beach walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing (beach is 60 metres away). Accommodation would take form of a fully insulated cute tiny garden room with access to undercover cooking area and bathroom. IT is small so please See photos. On week days we are usually working in Perth so we cant provide meals, but a well-stocked supermarket is 200 metres away. When possible we can take turns for meals if possible. We average 2/3 hours a day painting, plumbing gardening and other repairs and can negotiate best time to do that, for example maybe it’s more convenient to do two longer days during the week.Greg is usually available to help you with your car or take you fishing, boating or sightseeing if you’re willing to free him up from his other commitments. When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Pe...

Hi there 😊 I’m Sherree, and my dog Ziggy and I live in our beautiful home in South Fremantle, Western Australia. Your accommodation is a cute pop top caravan parked undercover at the front of my house, right next to the front door. It is self contained with a double bed, seating area, fridge, cooktop, kettle, toaster, air conditioning and running water in the van. You have your own bathroom inside the house, downstairs. The exchange: 2 hours of help per person per night stayed (e.g 7 nights = 14 hours of help). Minimum stay of 7 nights. Food is not included. I need help with general household cleaning duties, organisation, gardening and tidying up outside. Alternatively if you have special skills or an area of study, it may be something that we can use and exchange! Are you amazing at organisation, a designer, a carpenter or have experience in renovation? Do you know how to frame art, or can you draft proof a room? I want to know about your talents and utilise them in our exchange...

For one or two weeks we would appreciate help with Julie's very well maintained outback gardening and helping with homestead cleaning. Would prefer an applicant who has good experience with a chain saw for low pruning. Help with social media skills if we have time. Delicious fresh food supplied and enjoy some shared meals with Bruce and Julie to share each other's lives and learn from each other. We are on a large farm but this is NOT a farm work exchange but you can definitely see what happens on our busy Outback farm if that is of interest...

Help at work: Generally we ask you to help out in the renovations about 21 hours per week each (n...

Hello! I'm a single mum, managing 3 kids, a dog and maintaining a house and garden on my own! My house is in Willagee, its a great location, close to Fremantle and accessible to other areas of Perth! I'm looking for helper/s to come stay on the 2 weeks that I don't have my kids to help me smash out some projects (such as restoring my back lawn, sanding, painting, gardening, chopping wood etc etc). Must also love dogs, I have a 1 year old kelpie x border collie called Lumi, she is friendly and has a great temperament. I'm looking for people that are handy, knowledgeable about DIY, that are confident in the tasks/projects they take on. I would provide instruction and materials, however I am busy enough, hence tasks would be completed by helpers on their own. I will check in throughout the progress of the tasks. We live on an amazing 120 acre bush property about 25 minutes from Bryon Bay, 15 mins from Mullumbimby on an intention community with 6 other families in a beautiful valley, Our land is a wildlife reserve with plentiful native animals about. It’s gorgeous here with a pristine creek at the door step, waterfalls and national park just up the road. I have a big old Queenslander house, which I moved to the land 30 years ago. I have an arts practice and also work in remote indigenous arts centres in th...

We are a mature aged couple working from home and are looking to find an enthusiastic couple, or single person, who can help with general garden maintenance , eg weeding, spraying blackberries and wood splitting etc. In return, we are offering a private room and own bathroom ( see in photos below) in our lovely home. Accomodation and all meals are provided. ( free wi-fi is also available). We are in a quiet and secluded bush setting, and often have kangaroos and wallabies feeding on our property, but still only 3km from the main highway and station. (Melb CBD is 1 hour via train.) It is essential that you are a dog lover! (We have 2) Our 2 Whippets are quite old now, but very friendly and lazy! This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone requiring 2 weeks of accommodation, possibly longer, to share our easy going family life style. We are DEFINITELY a NON SMOKING household, and would prefer not to cater for vegetarians only. The work involves weeding, moving mulch, splitting...
