Our home is a beautiful 2.5 acre property, surrounded with trees. We have aquaponics, raised vegetables beds, beehives, possums, bandicoots, two little dogs (non-shedding) and lots of chickens. Our home is a farm, where we grow food, care for animals, and live with a permaculture and sustainable focus. Our home is a community, with housemates and WWOOFAs. We are situated in a semi-rural pocket; provided you have your own vehicle, we are close enough to suburbia for convenience and close enough to the freeway without being able to hear it. We are in a good location for visits to the beach, a local swimming hole (Serpentine Falls), weekends down south (to old growth forests, the best beaches in the world and vineyards galore) and visits to many Perth attractions. We are about 30 minutes from the city and Fremantle. Perfect for people who want some peace and quiet but still enjoy being able to get back to urban life or for someone who wants some space to fix up a vehicle ready for travel...

I'm Julie and my partner Charles and we are an older (in age) couple living the dream and have a small slice of heaven in the Tweed Caldera surrounded by a lot of Australia's wildlife. Our place is 26km inland from Murwillumbah. It's a 45 minute drive from Gold Coast airport, just over the Queensland border. We are 900kms north of Sydney. It is a 1 hour 20 minute flight to Gold Coast (OOL). From Sydney to Murwillumbah by bus takes 15 hours. When not working we travel to SE Asia and bush walk our local area. We are both accepting of all and our mantra is 'Peace, Love and Understanding'. There are no rigid helping hours or conditions. Jobs are dependent on weather conditions and what needs to be done at that time and what helpers would like to get involved with. Julie is multi skilled and talented in lots of areas. Conversation is never dull! Charles was born in Scotland and lived in Canada before coming to Australia. He also has a wide range of interests and skills. You name it,...

PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON *Got a garden that needs cleaning up at the moment. You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one farmer, one dog, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to sw...

Hello travellers! My name is Liam and I’m looking for some help landscaping ahead of building a sauna on my property. Guests will have their own room, with queen bed, wifi, and located only 15 minutes to Hobart CBD. About me: I’m in my early 30ies and work full time in town. I love getting out there all over tassie, including mountain biking, fossicking, rock climbing, saunas (obviously) and hiking. Closer to home, I enjoy baking, board games and woodworking. I travelled a lot in my early twenties and did a lot of couch surfing, and hosted back here in Aus. I love the community feel and cultural exchange that happens thanks to couch surfing and am really excited to host more people via HelpX. You and your stay: I’m happy to host a couple or individuals and could potentially host two couples. We’ll be sharing the space including bathroom and kitchen facilities. I want everyone to feel at home and you’re very welcome to join me on social and weekend adventures, including rock climb...

I, Christine, (63) am living with my daughter Bess (23) on an urban block. I am maintaining the vegetable garden and the house by myself. I occupy with her one of the three buildings on the property. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 public parks surrounding us and we are close to the Mary River. There are lots of kangaroos to observe in these parks. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay. I love to cook and have good conversations around the dinner table.. I offer for single or couple a bedroom with bathroom, The tasks: Depending on the season the vegetable garden needs topping up soil and mulch, weeding, some trimming of hedges, some maintenance on the house like painting some areas outside (wooden Queenslander), maintaining the gutters and cleaning various areas. Depending on your skills there are more complex tasks available. To spell it out after some not so nice experiences: In exchange for food and accommodation each helper is requi...

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two helpers for about a week or so AFTER 8th JULY 2025. I am booked out until then. Minimum stay three nights.Accommodation (for a single person or couple) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two people who don't share a bed. I have busy life and work commitments (I work part time, doing both paid and volunteer tasks, and find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food) so I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If this arrangement sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact me! Helpers assist me mostly in my home with cleaning, tidying & housework, gardening, yard work, weeding and generally trying to ...

This is a 13 acre (5.1 ha) property in Robinson, west of Albany. It is a new property for us so we are currently planting trees to re-vegetate the property. We have an extensive home orchard and several vegetable gardens. Our animals include chickens, geese, ducks and horses as well as rapidly increasing herd of milking goats. We like having help for a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours late afternoon - generally coinciding with feeding animals and milking/bottle feeding times.

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularily visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as require...

At our off- grid solar, wood and gravity powered homestead you can live very close to Nature and learn by helping, how to grow your own food in the big, fully caged vegie garden/ orchard and some of how to build a bush cabin (it could be a winning strategy in years to come). We are long term, committed advocates, for climate change action and we've lived with Sustainability and Creating a low "Carbon Footprint" in mind, for 40 yrs now, settling here, (inland of Taree / Port Macquarie) from scratch in 1980, on 680 acres of rocky ridge forest on the wild and steep NW edge of the Bulga Plateau, 500m above sea level (a very beautiful but challenging location)! Watch our YouTube video below, about our community and us, made by the very talented helpxer, Louie Ablett. Three of us live here now, myself 72, David 82 and Sue 62, who started as a WWOOFer and has moved here with the help of a voluntary activity agreement through Centrelink for over 55s'. Sue came in September 2019 and has b...

*** Available from 1 August 2025 onward *** *** Just a quick visa heads-up!... We love hosting travellers and sharing good times through HelpX. That said, immigration rules have tightened a bit lately — sometimes even helping out in exchange for a place to stay can be seen as “work,” which might technically need a visa that allows it. Most guests have never had a problem, but it’s smart to check the latest rules and think about how you describe your plans at the border. Just something to keep in mind! *** We are a small family - two parents and a 10 year old boy. We also have a couple of very friendly cats and some fish. Our place is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Fremantle, 7 minutes cycle to South Beach and close to all amenities. Fremantle is a great transportation hub and has an amazing live music, cafe and arts scene. Our house is 110 years old with high ceilings and a chilled out vibe in a friendly street close to Wray Ave. We are enthusiastic vergeside collectors who try ...

We are a Husband-and-Wife team, a very easy to get along with couple, Active, Non-smokers (but it is ok if you smoke outside). Please read this as the details are important, I apologise it is long. We have had some wonderful experiences with HelpX and we have formed some great friendships. We have a lot of HelpX return for visits or second and third stays. We are happy to be the in between jobs place for those that are working. We have 2 properties to look after so you can be at either. We have a small farm let of 16 hectares/42 acres and a house on 10 acres we are renovating. We are not technically a working farm, but we are in a lovely rural setting. Surrounded by larger farms. You will need your own transport as there is no public transport within 1.5 hours of here. Our little town is 6klms from us. We have 6 sheep, some cows, a little dogs. and a few goats. There is also plenty of wildlife here. We have Koalas seasonally, Echidnas, Possums, bandicoots, many different birds...

Looking for a helping hand for a few days, help needed around our gardens etc. Our tropical property is located about 2 hours south of Cairns, 45 mins south of Innisfail and we can collect you from the bus in Wongaling if you do not have your own vehicle. My hubby and I are looking for someone, can be male or female, who enjoys the tropical outdoor life helping with work around the house and in the gardens. We have a dog and a cat .We would prefer someone who could stay for a minimum of 5/6 days. Around 4 to 5 hours work per day in exchange for meals and accommodation. The village is a 15 min walk from here. Lots to do from here!!!great walking tracks, spot a cassowary possibly with his chick. It is an amazing beach, overlooking the Coral Sea. Our local IGA is in the next town and it would be no problem to take you shopping with us...come along for the drive. One bedroom (double bed) is available for use.
