Looking for helpers preferably a couple or female. We have a project that we need help with. Nothing too complicated but plenty of it to do. We would love to have someone with building skills or at least a 'have a go attitude'. There is always gardening and house chores and it’s baby season so we will need you to check the cows each day. We will teach you. :) We have a small beef farm in the Southern Forests of Western Australia between Perth and Albany nearer to the coast. We enjoy the cultural exchange with our Helpers and enjoy helping them improve their English. We have had many Helpers over the years. There is lots of beautiful spots to visit around the area. If you don’t have a car we can loan you one on your time off if you are confident to drive - for only short distances around the area. And we have two cute but sometimes annoying little dogs Tiny and Teddy! :D If you are honest, have a good sense of humour and have a good work ethic then this could be the right exper...

Hello travellers, and a warm welcome to beautiful Olinda - I am Vita and delighted to host you. **Currently seeking Helper/s who can work in the garden or use a chainsaw to cut fire wood. Or a carpenter who can help repair weather damaged external timber windows. Or someone with mechanical experience to service chainsaw and lawn mowers. Or a Helper with sewing skills and can use a sewing machine. Or a helper who can restore and refinish furniture. I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I don’t always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with l...

Hello, It's me (Michael) and sometimes my partner Anneke and my two girls - 4 and 7. My girls are quirky, messy and fun. I am a Kindergarten teacher for the last six years and now teach a bit of everything in a local private school. We live in a modest house with a backyard, close to the beach. You will have a basic room with a private bathroom to stay in. Bargara is a sleepy beach town, a bit too quiet for some - but we love it! The turtle watching and whale watching are popular touristy things around our area. Overseas travel isn't possible for us right now. I love helpx for the cultural exchange, especially for my girls. I need some help! 90 minutes/day? We need some help with Gardening, mainly. If you are happy to weed and tend to the veggie garden during your stay that would be perfect - if you can clean (always plenty of that to do) and cook or contribute in another way we can try it out and just see how it goes. We don't list that food is included but we often share a meal...

We hope you can join us. Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better while you have a memorable lifetime experience that will enrich your life. We love sharing who we are and what we have to inspire others to thrive on the land while working with and amongst nature. We have two rooms exclusively for HelpX guests; one room with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed. You have your own bathroom and toilet. We also have our delightful Avan; a compact caravan that has a double bed and a single bed for those who want to live more out amongst nature. We have a range of projects on offer, depending upon our needs at the time and your enthusiasm, skill set, interests and desire to learn new things. PLEASE READ MY WHOLE HOST PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY TO VISIT MY PLACE AND ASK ABOUT ANYTHING YOUR NOT CLEAR ON Not much work to do here now, so I mostly only take 1 person at a time You don't need to have an overwhelming desire to save the world, live off the land, or be more useful than a Swiss army knife, to stay here. A nice honest person is good enough. This is a relaxing place, close to nature, away from the backpacker trail on the coast but still got a bit happening, somewhere to recharge your batteries, do a bit of work, have a laugh and meet some real Aussies, maybe get out of your comfort zone a bit😜 My place is a cattle farm with one skinny, old farmer, one dog, some cattle, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near Kyogle, a quiet country town, which is 1.5 hours drive west from Byron Bay. In addition, basic cleaning, gardening and minor maintenance work in exchange for a stay in a 2.2 million dollar house with views to die for. Folks always are amazed at the quality of the units which are located on the top of Bowen Hills 2km from the city, 300 metres from the train station, 200 metres for Gaswork shopping complex, 250 metres from Aldi. My arrangement is usually 5 days of working per week (weekend or flexible days off), 4 hours of work per day per person, in exchnage for accommodation and general basic food (no alcohol/no takeaway), with reimbursement of receipts. The timing of the work can be flexible but if it is noisy it needs to be done between 9 am and 5 pm. Usually: looking for a labourer, tradie/handy perso...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. The closest train station is Beenleigh. Your own car is a plus. We welcome working holiday visa holders with good horse experience and most importantly a passion for horses !! In order to learn your daily task, routine and horses personalities, we will ask you to stay a minimum of 3 weeks. Long stays are really welcome. Your role on the farm would be helping with the daily care of our racehorses. It's an everyday job starting depending of the sun (4.30am in summer and later on winter time). We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. We need to feed and water all the horses again each night before dark. The ideal helpers will be positive, willing and with a some decent english. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. There are over 4 kilometers of walking trails through gorgeous forest, on this completely vegan property, with mountainous views all over ranging from 150 to 230 meters above sea level. The beautiful forest trails have old growth national park like forest at the very top. Lots of wildlife to see , with all kinds of exotic birds , including families of black cockatoo’s which live here in the pine’s, and beautiful little kingfisher birds, yellow robins, willy wagtails and kookaburras to name a few. We have recently found koalas living on the property in the flooded gum trees, with many wallabies and goanna’s are everywhere in summer ! Lots of lovely contemplative spots to relax , . Sorry, no vacancy right now. Currently full. Later on we shall require help with DIY repairs and maintenance, timber work, upgrading a dinghy to fit a roof and remote steering, repairs to trailer and for help with early morning gardening, housekeeing, cooking and dog walking on the beach. Regarding the DIY and timber work, our next vacancy is likely to be in March when it is cooler. From then on, we shall be looking for reasonably good DIY handymen and women, with some experience in working with wood, capable of working effectively, when necessary, on your own or as a pair and, ideally, someone who also has some gardening experience, but that is not really necessary, learn on the job! 😉👍. So you need to be a "morning person" who is happy to start work at 07.00 hr, at least five mornings a week, not a night-owl. This is to avoid the heat of the afternoons at this time of year, mornings are beautiful. Much of the work, in addition to the above, from March on, will be outside; ...

I have a lovely natural building studio space, made of super adobe, that is used as a meditation/healing/sacred temple space, set in a lovely slightly wild permaculture garden, with a bee hive, flowers, veggies etc. The studio would be completely your own private space. I am happy to share some meditation/healing practices with you if you are interested. I would love help in the garden, with weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and helping to make the garden creative, abundant, fertile and beautiful. Also need help going to the beach to collect seaweed for the garden beds. I would like to provide some meals, and have you be independent for some as well. I really like to meet and be social with helpers , and also to spend a lot of time in meditation and writing. I live in a little rural suburb near a beautiful mangrove area , and I am 40 minutes from wilsons prom, and less to other beautiful areas. A drivers license would be very helpful .

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

Hello - we are an animal-centric home on a small farmlet close to the township of Lithgow. We have a queen size bedroom available with own entry. We are walking distance to town. We have large dogs, so you will need to be confident around animals. We also breed miniature goats and have a garden and lots of chooks. Our property is located on an historic coal mine site and has many ruins to explore. We have resident native animals including kangaroos, bird life, wombats, possums and reptiles. We are looking for someone who is kind and curious about permaculture, gardening and animals. We are learning about regenerative practices and are trying to live gently. The property takes much of our time and there are always multiple projects on the go, with a view to sustainability and working with our environment. We are building food gardens, goat fencing including portable electric fences so we can have the goats graze on the weeds, we are also planning to restore our 1940’s train carriage in...

We offer beautiful private accommodation on our farm overlooking the swimming pool and Bangalow township. The accommodation consists of private bedroom (king bed and a single bed) with own bathroom and a living space with large comfy couches and ping-pong table. Only 15 mins from Byron Bay. Newrybar village is only 2 minutes away for the perfect morning coffee. Duties are mainly light gardening and mulching etc. We ask for 4 hours per day per person in return for food and accommodation. We would prefer two people rather than a single. Ideally having your own Transport would be better. We are close to everything but there is no public transport, so we think you would have more fun with the flexibility of a car to get to the beaches, etc . Our farm has peaches, nectarines and custard apples, but we already have workers for the orchard so help wanted is mainly around the house gardens. We have a horse called River who is trained in dressage. Our 2 kids are away at University so it is us...

We are looking for a couple or two friends to stay for a couple of weeks or more if agreed. We are maintaining our property for sale and we need to keep in condition. There is work removing trees, tidying up the garden and removing debris from the fires and recent storms. There is also cleaning work helping Cate with property management. During free time you are welcome to borrow our electric scooters and go swimming and exploring. We live in Mallacoota, one of Australia's most beautiful places on the southeast coast. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park next to the ocean with an estuarine lake system and many, many beaches. We are 2km from the town centre and 3km from the nearest beach. There are about seven magnificent beaches within 10km of us. Mallacoota is 540km from Melbourne, 630km from Sydney and 360km from Canberra with limited access via public transport so keep that in mind when planning your schedule. Our family includes M...

Hello travellers! We’ve recently built a wonderfully energy efficient passive solar house, complete with off-grid solar for all our energy needs, rain water collection for all our water needs, and a worm farm waste management system for natural black and grey water processing. We’ve put a lot of work in to achieve a fossil-fuel-free, all-electric, household, with as small an environmental footprint as possible. We’re also lucky to live in a beautiful rural/coastal area near Inverloch, Victoria, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south-east of Melbourne. We are close to some of Victoria’s most famous wildlife and wilderness attractions, including the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, the Koala Conservation Reserve, and hiking and camping at Wilson’s Promontory (not to mention numerous local beaches and fishing spots only 10 minutes away!). With our house complete, we’re now working to progress the landscaping aspects of our project. We’d be very appreciative of a helping hand or two to ...

Hi. I am hoping that some lovely travellers would like to stay in our home and help with some gardening and other household jobs. You will have your own double bedroom which has a lovely verandah opening onto the back garden. You also have your own bathroom . I’m happy to share our kitchen and food with you though I’m not always home to cook. We prefer you to make your own breakfast and lunch though we usually enjoy dinners together. We usually have plenty of fresh veggies and fruit though we are not big meat eaters. We tend to prefer shorter stays of 4 to 6 days, however, if we (and you ) feel comfortable we have had helpers for up to 2 weeks. I think we are pretty easy going and please check our reviews. We have loved our guests and happy to show you around or leave you to discover Port Macquarie yourself. We could accommodate you and in return would you be able to do some home cleaning and gardening. Window cleaning is a regular event as we have lots of windows and live near ...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I am in LAUNCESTON TASMANIA. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm, it is a friendly house in a quiet Launceston suburb! I can accommodate one or two FEMALE helpers (Due to the religious Haram restrictions of one of our residents I can't accommodate male helpers) for about a week or so from early April 2026.. Minimum stay three nights. Please inquire about available dates. Accommodation (for a single or two females) is in a private room with a double-bed. (Pictured). I can also add a single camp-bed in this room if helpers are two women who don't share a bed. I have been unwell, have poor eyesight, am on a restricted diet and am often busy doing volunteer community work, so I find it too difficult to have to cook meals and supply food. I can only offer an arrangement where you do two hours work per day for just accommodation and you supply your own food and cook your own meals. If this sounds like something you would be OK with, do contact ...

Hello Everyone, My son and I are living in the beautiful Northwest of Tasmania. Situated on the foothills of Mount Roland our hobby farm is close to tourist attractions like Cradle Mountain and only a short drive into the historic town of Sheffield. We are growing our own veggies and run a small amount of stock on our 20 acre property. Bordering the Dasher River with Pine Forrest on each side, the farm is very private with opportunities to get adventurous and go for a fish, a mushroom hunt or bushwalk. A little cottage not far away from the main resident will be your accommodation during your stay. We are hoping to find helpers who can give us a hand in the garden and with farm maintenance. In return we offer accommodation and food. We are a multicultural household and are happy to teach German or English to our guest. I’m also a chef and are happy to share recipes and teach cookery. One of my daily routine involves baking organic sourdough. Which i am happy to teach you. We are look...

This is a Standardbred Race Horse (Harness Racing) farm at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Located 45 minutes from Brisbane in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We start each morning training the horses, washing them and feeding them. All the retired horses need to be feed and watered as well. Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure.

We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home we built ourself. You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We are regularly visited by possums, wallaby's and various other wildlife. If you're lucky you may even see a Tasmanian Devil. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining. We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4.5 hrs of work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. Some helpers also purchase their own food and only work 2.5 hours a day if this suits you better. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests. Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties, and other jobs as required...
