We can accept a helper during most of the year. Our farm is located just outside the town of Ballinasloe, County Galway we keep cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, goats and poultry. We are looking for daily help with the feeding, the general care of animals and some chores in the household. Springtime is when the cows, sheep and horses give birth, so it's a busy time here. If you have experience with horses it is good too, there is always something to do. In summertime we harvest some turf in the peat bog, help with that is always welcome too. We offer own room and bathroom and most weekends off. Non smoking helpers only please. We have 3 kids (10, 8 and 5years old) who helpers will get to know. Due to a last minute cancellation we have a free slot from September 16th to October 14th. Last year we started to build our own house made in wood and straw bales. Professional builders built the wooden frame and the roof. We require general help with maintenance at our food forest overlooking the mountains of Central Italy. The area is stunningly beautiful and would suit an older man or couple who prefer to live in a peaceful but remote area. Your own car is an absolute must. Accommodation is in our guest house overlooking the duck pond. Guests must be animal lovers as we have cats, ducks, chickens and a large sheepdog. You should also not be worried about wildlife, as there is a lot of it here! Guests are expected to cater for themselves, but free duck and chicken eggs are available, as well as any fruit or vegetables from the food forest or vegetable garden.
