Our 6 generation family Homestead is located 20 minutes south of Calgary. We live on 126 acres in the Alberta foothills. We own and operate a Disc Golf Course so help would include work on the course doing course maintenance such as mowing, tree clearing, cleaning porta pottie, and assisting with tournaments and events. On the land we need lots of help with fence repair which includes tree clearing by hand and chainsaw. We have a few cattle and need to rebuild the corrals. We have a large yard with greenhouse and garden. We look forward to having someone who would love to spend time learning about growing and harvesting a vegetable garden. As well as pruning, digging, weeding and staining. Our kitchen is always busy with harvesting from the garden, yard or fields; dehydrating, fermenting, canning, freezing, making herbal honey, tinctures and more. Indoors there is cleaning, sorting and organizing. I am a professional health coach so our daily life is using complimentary healt...

A Long term exchange is available. Nearly everything we do is in support of one thrill: adventures in food. But rural living out here in mid-nowhere means that there are endless other things to be tasked as well: construction, gardening, maintenance of many sorts, enhancing the natural beauty around us. Chances are that if you could describe a pure-fun, physical job, there would be something here I could offer that might satisfy those urges. If you want to work hard, eat marvelous meals and have a fabulous time in the gardens, the workshop and the kitchen, come join us and get a relaxing feel of rural life. We are foodies far from the centres and trying to help create a culture of great food around us: for ourselves and for our friends. We are also trying to make that happen as much as is possible using local foods, neighbour's offerings, and our own produce. That is where we hope you will assist us, working with me in the gardens and workshop and, if you want, bringing your creativi...

Would you like to come and help us out? At the moment, we would be looking for mature (preferably 25 and over) helpers for the months of May and June, 2024. We are a cozy, charming and comfortable oceanfront Guest House, with 5 guest bedrooms, overlooking a scenic bay in our tiny community (250 residents) called Sandspit, or K'il Kun, on Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago on the northern coast of BC. Helpers will have a private room, all meals catered for, and communal dinners. Bikes are available for exploration of the surroundings, and we can usually take helpers out on local adventures (boating, fishing, camping, hiking, etc.) Work is usually general help for day to day operation of the Guesthouse during the summer Season, June to September (cleaning, gardening, etc.), and general maintenance, construction etc. during the shoulder and off-season. In the summer some tasks can be somewhat scheduled (cleaning on busy days) but otherwise, helpers are usually in charge of their own s...

Galiano Grow House has been operating as a farm for coming up on 3 years now. We have had over a dozen volunteers from all over the world come and visit in the last year alone. In general it has been a wonderful experience and we are keen to have more volunteers on the property. We are currently a vegetable, Cannabis and Hemp farm, with future plans to expand more. Our Canna Tourism BNB was open last year with great success and we have expanded it for this up coming year. We currently have 3 full time staff on the property expanding the farm and running the operations. We always need help with general gardening and also Cannabis specific work. I personally have been involved in over 100 Cannabis facilities designs in the country and always happy to help and teach people the skills required for their large facility or home grow. We also have access to a team of industry professionals who help us and guide staff and volunteers in learning the skills required. Please don't be s...

We are a Cage-free Cottage Dog Lifestyle Pet Resort near Huntsville in the heart of Muskoka. We are just 15 minutes from Arrowhead Provincial Park and a 45-minute drive from world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park, where you might want to hike trails, check their visitor centre, wolf howls, and maybe try outdoor camping or a canoe trip from almost our backyard. Muskoka is one of Canada's top Cottage capitals, with over 1,000 pristine lakes. Our property has many ponds and is located in the spring-fed kettle lakes hills that supply fresh water to Lake of Bays. Just steps away are four small lakes with blue heron rookeries, where moose, whitetail deer and other wildlife come for a drink. Those who love watching wildlife in their natural habitat will love our beautiful woodlands and lakes. As will those who enjoy fishing or bird watching. There are lots of hiking trails and beaches you can walk, swim at and enjoy. We have bikes, and it is just 6km from Huntsville, where you can find in...

We grow organic table grapes, a few fruit trees, chickens and a few pigs. This is a real farm experience, mostly working in the vineyard, with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, tv, phone and go to nearby towns such as Wolfville and Hantsport as well as the rest of the Annapolis Valley with the local bus. The accommodations and kitchen are separate for helpers cooking with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay. Hope you can make it here.

We have an beautiful small farm in the Birken valley, near Pemberton surrounded by mountains, rivers , waterfalls, and lakes. We farm garlic, flowers, herbs, berries, fruit trees, chickens and of course some veggies too. We have a cute, rustic, clean little cabin on the property with it's own bathhouse . Wonderful fresh meals... We are only 45mins north of Whistler (3hrs from Vancouver). There is great hiking in the close area. Your own transportation is helpful but not necessary as there is no public transportation. Odd jobs around the farm include small construction projects, planting, weeding, picking fruit, mulching, feeding chickens, helping with the farmer's markets, etc ... Whatever your skills and interests are we can find a project for you. One - three week stays, all meals included, four-five hours of work a day expected, usually with afternoons free for your leisure. Couples welcome.

(La description en français se trouve plus bas !) We are a small Buddhist community living in the forest close to Sainte-Julienne, Quebec. We have an organic fruit tree nursery, along with many other projects on our land: several fruit orchards, chickens and bees, growing our own vegetables and herbs and trying to be independent in many ways. The six people who are staying are: Ajan, Eric, Veronique, Elisabeth, Natalie and Camille. Each of us have arrived here one by one, at first just interested in helping out in the place, and then as we found that this lifestyle was for us, deciding to stay for longer. For part of the year we also have a couple of employees staying with us. There is also a wonderful dog named Dali. Our organic nursery and garden occupies a land of 9 hectares, surrounded by forest. As well as the main land of the nursery, we have another smaller land where a few of us live. This is, in fact, where the community started to grow from very small beginnings in the ear...

Experience the mountains and wilderness of Yukon, even parts of Alaska! From the Midnight Sun in summer to Northern Lights in winter. Learn why we call it: Yukon: the Magic and Mystery. Share with me living a rustic wilderness life away from the digital speed of today, share some adventures and sometimes crazy or challenging activities. We breath fresh air and the aromas of the trees, we do wilderness activities and occasionally a roadtrip. You visit my home as a friend and we will share Northern living as friends. The house is located in a wilderness residential community near a large lake with cellular service and WiFi. But we can shut off cell phones and laptops at home, we can use oil lamps for light and wood stove for heat and we can play board games at the kitchen table, or we can watch a DVD movie! How better to connect with nature than a walk through the forest, swim in the nearby wilderness lakes or take a dip in natural hot springs? Lakes are summer only, but there are ...

We are celebrating OUR 25th Anniversary (1999) and OUR Ecovillage's team is looking towards a creative and fun season of committed volunteers who wish to work within a collective project opportunity. We are working on the next 25yr Vision and with this are building a very large public art installation project (earthen/cob Dragon sculpture with lots of mosaic work!). Folks love to be with the land, work in transformational personal journey work as we weave ourselves into the Collective, work with research teams on soil/wastewater/energy systems design/etc, and permaculture education projects with learners from local to global! Creating a mutually supportive 'attitude of gratitude' is what makes for an amazing Volunteer season and we have folks who return year after year. Maturity to live/work with a team is a major asset - and/or the willingness to learn and put oneself in as a team player makes for an outstanding experience while you are within OUR Volunteer Program. You will me...

We have been fully vaccinated and will welcome helpers who have also been fully vaccinated. My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will gladly take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We do not cook vegan or gluten free. If you are vegan or gluten free, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home, and that you must have medical insurance for Canada, ...

We are currently accepting helpers for 2024. At this time of year we have lots of repair, building, animal husbandry, food production and gardening projects on the go. Depending on timing there may be opportunities to participate in animal butchering, sausage making, cheese making and more. (Any job involving animal slaughter is always optional and available only to those who would benefit from the experience.) We are now entering garden prep and planting season which is becoming more and more important as we aim to supply 70-80% of what we eat from our own land. We are a small mixed farmstead with sheep, milk goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, 2 dogs, and a cat.... a little bit of everything. We practice regenerative agriculture and apply permaculture principles wherever possible. From intensive grazing, to pastured pigs and chickens as well as free range ducks and geese, we use our animals to improve and modify the land. We are happy to share our knowledge, our extensive ...

March/ April season 2024 ** Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River on Vancouver Island, is a beautiful place to experience Vancouver Island`s great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the river’s pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature hiking/ walking and biking trails. The ocean photo was taken a couple of miles from my home and all other photos are of my house area or looking downwards at the river which is acc...

Our family farm is located in one of the most beautiful countrysides in the interior of BC. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain ranges, lakes and rivers, we consider ourselves and our animals to be spoiled rotten. Our 13+ acre farm is located 5 minutes from the town center, 5 minutes from the beautiful Clearwater River, and less than 10 minutes away from Dutch Lake (perfect sandy beach for swimming). Canoeing, kayaking or hiking in the world renowned Wells Gray Park is a great way to spend days off. Our ranch has horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and 4 working dogs. Looking for a person(s) to help with our farm chores as well as gardening and very keen on someone who can help with a few construction projects. May to October we are looking for 1 or 2 folks to join our farm. In the summer we grow our own garden as we believe in growing our own food and preserving whatever we can.

MINIMUM STAY OF 2 FULL WEEKS (arrival on Sunday, departure on Friday night or Saturday 2 weeks after) and ideally 1 month minimum from May to October Verte Santé is a micro-farm not mechanized. All the work is done by hand and often with the means at hand. We receive no financial aid of any kind and have no other income than the one generated by the farm. Thus it is imperative that work is being completed when needed. Permaculture Nursery seeking help from June 1st until mid-October, 2024. Our nursery specializes in rare perennial vegetables and salad plants, and other useful plants for low-maintenance edible landscapes. We have demonstration gardens that we eat from, and workshops on how to design low-maintenance, self-fertile edible ecosystems. We practice permaculture and forest gardening, and we're trying to make a productive homestead that's also ecologically rich and diverse. We love experimenting with new plants and have extensive experience growing a wide range of unusual and delicious edibles. You'd be staying in an old farmhouse, a few steps from the wild Beaver river where you can swim or go canoeing. We're located in the Beaver Valley, which is a beautiful, natural and very wild piece of the Niagara Escarpment. Come join the fun!

Greetings Weary Travellers! I WOULD PREFER HELPERS WHO ARE 25 TO 40 YEARS OLD, PERHAPS, BUT NOT NECESSARILY, WITH SKILLS IN CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL OR ABLE TO HANDLE GAS POWERED EQUIPMENT FOR GARDENING. We are situated on 22 acres with spectacular views of the countryside-just one hour north of Toronto by car and accessible by GO train or GO bus to Orangeville where I can pick you up. There are three bedrooms available to helpers decorated as India, the Mediterranean or the Commonwealth, with two single beds in each (or king size bed) and great views. Each room has indoor and outdoor access. There is a lower room leading to the garden just for helpers to read, view videos and play games. Laundry available as well. Now a picture perfect bunkie for 2 or 3 is available, thanks to the hard work of helpers. Most recently, we have added a small private ZEN room for peace or meditation. Our family owns and operates a 20-acre farm that produces hay, poultry, eggs , beef, and a seasonal mixed market garden and cut flower garden. Our commitment lies in maintaining an ecologically and economically sustainable farm that not only provides sustenance but also adds beauty to our community. Although hay is our primary focus, we engage in various activities, including vegetable and cut flower cultivation, tend to established fruit trees and shrubs, raise cattle and chickens, with plans to introduce pigs and ducks in the near future. We are a young family with two young children who love to "help" us with our chores and two beautiful and energetic golden retrievers who will quickly become your best friends. We started the farm in May 2023 and have been learning every day since. You can check us out on our social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) to see more about our farm! We are currently seeking assistance with the day-to-day chores and maintenance tasks essential...

Our property has many ponds and is located in the spring-fed kettle lakes hills that supply fresh water to Lake of Bays. Good morning;. Every day =1 day closer to spring. I am now looking for helpers for 2024. Painting will need finishing and other things too. I would really like to connect with a carpenter to construct a 3 season room.I have the windows and shingles or tin.I have a lot of the other items too.Just not the health to do it myself. What ever you do,do not count on GPS.It will send you the wrong way. Please come and stay for a while and help my animals and I. I do not text .Every response I do is on my computer in the early morning. I do facebook messenger. I have no idea what whatsapp is. There is so much to see that is so beautiful in the area.Lots of history to discover too. Many people bypass Saskatchewan as we do not have the population but we do have so much more. Our scenery is some of the best.AND our people are the friendliest. JUST LOOK AT THE SKY'S. I am not as young as I used to be.My health is not so good. I know most people do not answer requests but I really hope you do. This...

(ÉCRIVEZ-MOI POUR LA VERSION FRANÇAISE) ______________________________________ WINTER : maintain a mini winter garden inside the workshop, repairs and maintenance of the installations and tools, prepare herbal products, People with experience in carpentry/handywork for improvements and repairs inside and outside and/or who can work with a chainsaw (NO tree felling, just cutting fallen trees) could make a big difference right now.

There is an indoor salt water pool (available late June to October), pool table, archery, basketbal...

Our family owns and operates a 20-acre farm that produces hay, poultry, eggs , beef, and a seasonal mixed market garden and cut flower garden.
