INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...

“Mamorwa” in ikʉ can be translated as "the thoughts of Mother" or "the Mother of all thoughts". For the Mamos of Mamorwa, humans and Mother Earth heal when they reunite. Mamorwa is an invitation to encounter Mother Earth, and align to her thoughts. Mamorwa represents the balance and respect of Nature’s laws, of Kunsamʉ. Mamorwa is the choice to follow a gentle mountain path, to be at one with its pure rivers, with the thousand year old trees which have chosen to call it home and the great monkeys who roam in their midst, and offer their song to the piercing echo of dawn. It is an opportunity to find our true Humanity once again, by renewing a deep and living bond with Mother Earth. This calls us to follow once again the flow of our life like one of a river with its fluctuations, to let go of what was previously imprisoning us and leading us to go against the natural current of life, moved again by our profound aspirations. Juan and Duavico, two Mamo brothers, looked for a sacred p...

We are a Belgian expat family (2 boys of 9 & 12 years) and we live in Puerto Rico, a small town in the subtropical province of Misiones, halfway between Posadas and the Iguazú-Falls. We have a big garden where we grow our own fruit and vegetables (organic). There is always a lot to do in the garden, for instance mowing or weeding, but also in the house, especially painting. We work from home, but we won’t have many time to supervise you, so we appreciate experienced and independent workers. We offer a separate accommodation for 1 person or a couple, with private bathroom. Meals are included for working 4 hours/day. You can enjoy the big garden with hammocks and swimming pool (during summer), or go to the town (next supermarket at 1 km) and you can use the bicycle to explore the region. Wifi is available as long as it doesn’t interfere with our work. 2 big but nice dogs and 1 cat are also part of our family. With our kids we speak French and German, but we also manage Dutch, Sp...

Hello friends, we are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

We are far away from the city and enjoy fresh air, natural spring water and quiet tranquility. A great place for star gazing! Hi! My name is Diego and I own a farm in Aquitania, Boyacá (Colombia). In this beautiful environment I realise tours on horseback with tourists through the Páramo hills, with a stunning view of the Tota Lake. I own about 15 horses, which need care, attention and training. Some of them were rescued from maltreatment. In the small village of Toquilla (Aquitania) we are all neighbours and the community will welcome you with open arms. In this small town you will live the real Colombian life. Most of the people that live here have grown up here as well and will teach you all about the Colombian lifestyle. You will try out traditional meals, join the neighbours in a game of tejo, and learn how the people live from land cultivation and animals. Check out the process of milking cows and making cheese, or learn how clothing is created from sheep wool. Practise your Spanish and emerge yourself in the country lifestyle! Tasks inside of the house: - Cleaning - Hospitality: welcome guests, give...

Dear Volunteers, we are looking for a housitting couple to take care of our animals (dos, cats, chickens, calf) during September 2024. The rest of the summer we take volunteers for food and board. The work involves physical work mostly doing maintenance on the farm (painting, cleaning ditches, helping out on farmjobs) We are looking for independent people who are not afraid to work hard and learn a lot of new concepts (holistic farming, permaculture) as we have quite some challenges this year. The work is 70% maintenance and 30% new projects. Since we now belong to an NGO our goals are to combine production with conservation. We have cows, sheep and horses that we manage holistically with a protocol called GRASS. At the same time we have about 30 scientific projects taking place on the farm studying native and exotic flora and fauna. They are as diverse as studying the eradication of pine trees, willows, rose hip, the impact on the native endemic Tuco Tuco, the behaviour of anim...

We are Richie, Abigail and Zoe. A Swiss/British family of three. After five years of travel in our truck camper, we have decided to settle down in the heart of Mendoza, Argentina’s wine region. We are 30 minutes away from Mendoza central and are located in the Maipu region, a short bus ride to award winning Trivento vineyard and Laur olive oil factory. A micro brewery with excellent beers and burgers is within walking distance, just up the road. We are currently building a campsite for overlanders, tourists who travel overland with campers and tents. We have been busy chopping down some of our plum trees to make space for our visitors and a car port for storage is already in place. We are currently building a fence for security and a sanitary block with showers and toilets. Those with particular experience in carpentry, plumbing or bricklaying are most welcome. We are meat lovers, and love to grill for our guests, enjoying a great meal by the fireplace and under the stars. *Helpe...

We moved here from New York City 14 years ago, and we live in an alternative-construction house that we built on about 4 acres of land. We're sometimes vegetable farmers - not this year though. We travelled quite a bit before having children. We both have family in Argentina, Pia is originally from Argentina and we moved here for a change of life. We’re pretty settled in now, b...

I am currently living in a town called Cajabamba. I have a piece of land twenty minutes from it where I have tara and avocado fruit trees. I live a simple happy life being within nature and I feel very connected to it. I love animals and minimalistic living. I know this lovely area where I can take my guests for nice hikes and visits to nearby hotsprings. I am a Spanish-English teacher. I taught Spanish in Europe for four years and then I moved to the mountains in Peru in 2019. Presently I am teaching Spanish on line and English to kids here in the mountains.
