This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

Minimum stay 4 weeks!!!!*** TAKE A 1 OR 2 WEEK SPANISH COURSE WHILE VOLUNTEERING AT OUR ORGANIC COFFEE FARM FINCA SAGRADO IN JERICÓ Hi there! We, Klara (Czech/Belgian), Agustin (Colombian) and our son Saila, are looking for nice human beings to join us on our coffee farm. We bought this farm 5 years ago because we fell in love with the land and thought this place would be amazing to raise our son. After some years of hard work and a lot of learning we now have our own coffee brand Café Finca Sagrado Two years ago, we started offering coffee tours, chocolate workshops, accomodation for tourists, and a two week Spanish course. We are learning and exchanging ideas about Permaculture and self sustainability. Our farm is situated in a Natural Reserve area called Bananal, located 18km away from the beaches of Perube - SP. Here we have begun our project. Using the idea behind observing and working with what is natural and unique to this landscape we are learning to grow local plants and fruit trees, as well as understand the forestation of the area, to best work with the land to support us and our animals. Currently we are growing orchards of multiple fruit trees, such as jack-fruit, papaya, starfruit, goiaba, bananas, coffee, cacao, and limes to name a few, as well as vegetables in our garden. We are using the concept of building green, by using local materials found on the land, such as different varieties of woods, bamboo and clay. We have switched most of our toilets over to the dry toilet system in order to make less of an environmental impact and use the compost to make fertilizer. Using the animal ma...

I'm currently in Tanzania, and I'm hoping for 'handy' people to take care of my Airbnb cabin. Gardening types welcome too! I need people to clean up after Airbnb guests. It's the slow season, so you'd have the place to yourself most of the time. If guests arrive, you'd stay in the downstairs, which has double bed, AMAZING view of ocean, kitchenette and bathroom with another amazing view! There's another woman who usually does all this, but she's having health issues and I want to give her a break. The cabin is 'rustic', no tv or fancy amenities! It's 2-3 hours north of Santiago, but only 1km from the major highway, Ruta 5. Between the villages of Pichicuy and La Ballena. From my cabin, you are a 2 minute walk on my private trail to the ocean! There's small shops that have all you'll need within 5 blocks, a few restaurants too. All country style. Views of the ocean are incredible. Peace is amazing. No other houses on either side of you. Must enjoy RUSTIC and RURAL and your own company...

We are a traditional family estate located in the rural area of Laguna Larga, in the heart of the Córdoba province. Our farm is dedicated to a sustainable and autonomous lifestyle. We focus on horse breeding and pig farming, but our main pride is our self-sufficiency: we manage our own water supply and produce our own electricity. What we offer: We love welcoming travelers who are genuinely interested in learning about rural life in the Argentine "Pampa". As a helper, you will be part of the family. You can help us with the daily care of the horses (grooming, feeding) and the pigs. Since we are off-the-grid, you can also learn how we maintain our solar energy and water pumping systems. It’s a great place for someone who enjoys quiet nature and wants to experience the authentic "gaucho" culture. Location: We are located in the "Zona Rural" of Laguna Larga. It is a very peaceful agricultural area. The town is about 15 minutes away by car, and the city of Córdoba is about an hour away. ...

The project aims to transform a traditional farm into a more sustainable one, with the goal of sharing and building knowledge and awareness about sustainable agriculture, and extending this knowledge to the most vulnerable people within the project’s area of influence. On the farm, we currently grow organic cacao, coffee, and bananas. These products form the foundation of the economy for many farmers in the area. We use part of our harvest to make chocolate and roast coffee. We’ll learn the entire process, and there’s always a good cup of coffee or chocolate waiting for us. We are working on creating our own organic vegetable gardens for our own consumption and to learn the techniques. We plan to grow spinach, cabbage, lettuce, onions, chili peppers, beets, celery, herbs, cucumbers, caiguas, squash, tomatoes, broccoli, and more, as well as flowers. There are also internal plots on the farm where we grow fruit trees such as: bananas, oranges, lemons, tangerines, tangelos, sweet limes, ...

We are a space established already 15 years ago dedicated to sharing knowledge for a healthy, sustainable, and peaceful life. We are open to sisters and brothers who are on the journey of seeking a simpler way of life in communion with Mother Earth, and who resonate with co-creating free and sustainable spaces. It’s a space for healthy living, working with the earth, meditation, yoga and all arts. Here we learn and share knowledge that signals our journey back home: in harmony with Mother Nature and with ourselves. Our space is located next to a beautiful, crystal-clear river. We've built a delightful sauna alongside it, and we have a library full of fascinating books, as well as plenty of musical instruments for sharing. The place is situated in a privileged natural setting, where you can breathe in peace and hear the birdsong, at the foot of the mountains. At this moment we have open opportunities for: Food Production (gardening , edible forest maintenance, soil regeneration, e...

I fell in love with beautiful Mompiche, moved here and started to build my dream house in 2006. It is a five-story bamboo house, built like a wedding cake. The top floor has a spectacular 360-degree view, with views from the shower and the toilet too! Mompiche is a quaint fishing village with a pristine 40-mile crescent moon bay. From October to April there are world-class waves, attracting surfers from around the world. It is surrounded by jungle with monkeys and tons of birds, including toucans and parrots. I am a massage therapist from Esselen, Big Sur, California with more than 40 years of experience. Chocolate making, basket weaving, and coconut cracking classes are available. Tours of the jungle and yoga can be arranged. You can explore the incredible surrounding area on foot or in kayaks, on horseback, or on a motorboat. Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

This is a natural reserve where volunteers experience real conservation work and rural life. Here, volunteers take part in environmental activities, learn from local knowledge, and live closely connected to nature. The work is organized in a balanced way, allowing free time to rest, explore the reserve, and enjoy a calm and mindful lifestyle. At Pinchaque, we offer a close and authentic cultural exchange. Volunteers share daily life with us at the reserve and have opportunities to interact with local community members and other rural projects in the area. During their stay, we share knowledge about conservation, rural life, sustainable agriculture, and traditional local practices. In return, we are interested in learning from the experiences, cultures, and skills that volunteers bring from their own countries and regions. The exchange happens naturally through daily conversations, cooking together, working as a team, and participating in community activities. We value respect, curiosi...

INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Hello friends, we are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

Would you like to live a unique experience while helping others improve their English? This is your chance! We are looking for passionate volunteers with a good level of English who want to help enthusiastic students improve their conversation skills. Many of our students are young people in their final years of high school or university, with big dreams: to get a good job, travel the world, or fullfil academic requirements. What they all have in common is a strong motivation to learn. Your role will be to engage in one-on-one conversations with them for 15 to 30 minutes, kindly correcting their mistakes, helping them with pronunciation, and above all making them feel secure and confident expressing themselves in English, even if they are shy or afraid of making errors. You will also participate in a specific activity to support their learning or assist with a short assessment, guided by our team. You’ll be speaking with students only three days a week, leaving you plenty of time to ...

We are startíng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

We live in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and are the only inhabitants of our property. We are the last settlement before the Maris de Kaw Reserve, a world-renowned site for its wildlife, especially caimans. The nearest village (Roura) is 36 km away. We run on solar power and collect rainwater from the streams that cross our property. Our houses are made of wood, the rooms are spacious and equipped with mosquito nets. The bathrooms are shared and do not have hot water; the water is cool but not cold. It's the perfect place to recharge and discover unspoiled wildlife. We need help maintaining our property: clearing brush and cleaning and painting the buildings.

Territorio de Origen is a 120-hectare living project in the mountains of Antioquia, about two hours from Medellin. We are a ceremonial cacao farm, a bean-to-bar chocolate factory, a nature reserve, and a retreat center that opens to guests this July. We are in the thick of building it. We are a small intentional community: Americans, Colombians, Venezuelans, and a family from the Arhuaco tribe of the Sierra Nevada. The land has lush native forest, a river, a waterfall, cacao and coffee groves, monkeys, anteaters, swans on a natural lake, and a blue and gold macaw named Mr. T. We build primarily in guadua bamboo. We are looking for skilled people who want to be genuinely useful. Not observers, not tourists passing through. If you have something real to contribute and want to be part of building something meaningful at origin, read on. What We Need: We are specifically looking for people with skills in one or more of the following areas. Content creation and social media. We have ex...

We are located in the mid of the Atlantic Rainforest about 120km away from Rio deJaneiro city.  Our project started 13 years ago and building work is still going on but there is an end in sight, the vegetable garden and orchard are in good shape but need a caring hand all the time.  Our reforestation project is concluded; we planted 2500 native trees of the Atlantic Rainforest on a hill where cattle were grazing in the past. The concept includes MTB-trails in order to facilitate the planting and maintenance of the trees. Along the trails we planted plenty fruit trees. There is still work to do with the cycle trails in order to use them with a bike. There are several buildings where we live on our land. The kitchen is communitarian; we usually take turns for preparing the lunch. We cook vegetarian and try to use as much as possible what we can grow on our land. We have chickens, dogs and cats that live with us and we need a hand with them too. We can provide a room with private bat...

We are a family living on a 40-hectare former coffee farm in the countryside of São Paulo, about 2 hours from São Paulo city. Today, the farm is a mix of nature, hospitality and creative projects. We host guests, small retreats and events, so life here can vary between quiet days and more active periods. We have a vegetable garden, fruit trees, chickens, cows and horses, but this is not a high-production farm. Most of the work is hands-on and practical, helping with daily tasks that keep the place running. Tasks may include gardening, taking care of animals, light maintenance, cleaning, organizing spaces, helping in the kitchen, and supporting during events when needed. We ask for around 4 hours of help per day, 5 days a week. Shifts can be in the morning or afternoon, depending on the needs of the farm. Accommodation is in a shared volunteer house with basic but comfortable facilities. We provide ingredients (vegetables, grains, eggs, etc.), and meals are usually prepared together ...

We are a local peace and justice organization on the Caribbean coast of Colombia that has a farm used for organic production, educational purposes, and eco-tourism. We also do environmental education with children ages 6 to 14 through School in the Forest. We are in the tropical dry forest eco-system in the province of Sucre, just outside the city of Sincelejo. Our farm was once used for cattle grazing and much of it was over-grazed and degraded, but other parts still had some old trees. Since 2013, we have been protecting the native trees and planting more. The farm is now filled with trees. We have orange and lime trees, guanábanas, mangos, nisperos, and other tropical fruits. We have 2 ponds and have some animals (chickens, dogs, cats, red-footed turtles). We have also howler monkeys, anteaters, sloths, armadillos and tons of birds on the property which is amazing since the area around us is pretty denuded and since we are so close to the city. Check us out in Facebook as fincavil...

It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...

Our main goal is to create and to bring access for people that live on isolated cities to an English learning initiative based on ALTERNATIVE schooling systems focusing on cultural exchange with English speaking volunteers. Founded in 2013, the school is a privately run, independent, nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that teaches English to the people in Taltal and from 2019 we have been organising "SUMMER CAMPS" in different towns along the country. We carefully select volunteers who are able to offer extensive range of experiences and knowledge in fields such as arts, sports, agriculture, communication and languages from all corners of the world alongside many more skills they can offer. You can impact the lives of numerous children and people by donating your time and energy volunteering. Your help in our school will provide children, workers (men and women), young workers and people in general an opportunity to share their experiences, style of life and the most importan...
