Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bicycles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente antioqueño". The work is diverse and we usually ask for about 4-5 hours of help per day. Normally we do three days of work and one day off. The days start with Agnihotra and Yoga and then a hearty breakftast. We offer accommodation and three meals a day. We love food and cooking, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen preparing healthy, delicious meals. If you like to cook, we are more than happy to taste your flavors! For now we ask for seven to ten days, or perhaps more depending on current projects. We just finished building our woodfire oven for bread and pizza making! We are pet lovers, at the moment have six dogs and three cats, most of them were adopted. Please let us know if you are interested, love to have you on board!

We are startíng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. Please take notice : I did not receive any volunteers since a couple of years, first because of the pandemic and later because I was away a lot. I am now willing to start again. Ours is a small property of around 2 has extension of arable land, at the moment the largest part is used for animal forages (mainly corn and alfalfa). In a smaller part, we are implementing organic vegetables, herbs and other crops. Some years ago we established a fruit orchard (apples and peaches), which we are currently trying to diversify. We hope this can be our main activity in the future. We also built two small greenhouses where we plant mainly tomatoes and lettuce, also diversifying now (blueberries). Recently we established a tiny forest, that requieres a lot of attention. There are a lot of problems to solve, mainly insects and birds' attacks, too much sun and water shortage. We are working on solutions one by one (nets, barriers, shadow plants, water reservoirs). All kind of help is welcome, altho...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

AGAIN ONLINE! For 2 decades I ran a guest house where I received travellers and volunteers. Now I moved to a small house in a residential area no far from downtown, were I will be happy to welcome volunteers again. I can receive one person for just 10-15 days. I bring private room & breakfast to help 3 h/day, Mon to Fri, on mornings (possible shifts). Meals: we can share the expenses and I will cook for lunch For dinner, normally volunteers are visiting places, and they find many shops to eat cheap. Tasks are not heavy: cleaning, painting, some repairs around the house. I'm a retired engineer and a handyman, so you could learn new skills. I will also give tips on places to visit that are not in tourist brochures. ----------- NOTE: Helpx is a way to meet people and share cultures through teamwork, NOT a trick to travel cheaply. If you can't use a broom, are untidy or 24/7 digital addict... DO NOT write to me.

Who are we ? Hello ! My name is Marlene, I live in a small coffee farm near Fusagasuga with my family: my husband Omar Ricardo, my son Joseph who is 16 years old, and my mother in law Modesta. We also live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats who are very friendly. I am a professor of middle school and I work half a day, except on weekends, but Omar Ricardo, Joseph and Modesta are always here in the farm. It's only been a year and a half since we have been living here in the country, as we were before living in Bogota and then Fusagasuga. That's why our farm still needs a lot of improvement :) About our farm : Our farm is in the middle of the country, at 25 minutes by car and 30 minutes by bus of Fusagasuga. The bus stop is at 10 min by feet and pases each half-our. If you need we can take you in Fusagasuga by car: We have 3 hectares of property, in which we cultivate coffee and other trees like, guanabana, platan, cacao, mangoes, avocados, oranges, lemon, mandarine. You can taste and enjoy ...

We are Richie, Abigail and Zoe. A Swiss/British family of three. After five years of travel in our truck camper, we have decided to settle down in the heart of Mendoza, Argentina’s wine region. We are 30 minutes away from Mendoza central and are located in the Maipu region, a short bus ride to award winning Trivento vineyard and Laur olive oil factory. A micro brewery with excellent beers and burgers is within walking distance, just up the road. We are currently building a campsite for overlanders, tourists who travel overland with campers and tents. We have been busy chopping down some of our plum trees to make space for our visitors and a car port for storage is already in place. We are currently building a fence for security and a sanitary block with showers and toilets. Those with particular experience in carpentry, plumbing or bricklaying are most welcome. We are meat lovers, and love to grill for our guests, enjoying a great meal by the fireplace and under the stars. *Helpe...

Would you like to live a unique experience while helping others improve their English? This is your chance! We are looking for passionate volunteers with a good level of English who want to help enthusiastic students improve their conversation skills. Many of our students are young people in their final years of high school or university, with big dreams: to get a good job, travel the world, or fulfill academic requirements. What they all have in common is a strong motivation to learn. Your role will be to engage in one-on-one conversations with them for 15 to 30 minutes, kindly correcting their mistakes, helping them with pronunciation, and above all making them feel secure and confident expressing themselves in English, even if they are shy or afraid of making errors. You will also participate in a specific activity to support their learning or assist with a short assessment, guided by our team. You’ll be speaking with students only three days a week, leaving you plenty of time to e...

Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

We are located in the mid of the Atlantic Rainforest about 120 km away from Rio deJaneiro city.  Our project started 13 years ago and building work is still going on but there is an end in sight, the vegetable garden and orchard are in good shape but need a caring hand all the time.  Our reforestation project is concluded; we planted 2500 native trees of the Atlantic Rainforest on a hill where cattle were grazing in the past. The concept includes MTB-trails in order to facilitate the planting and maintenance of the trees. Along the trails we planted plenty fruit trees. There is still work to do with the cycle trails in order to use them with a bike. There are several buildings where we live on our land. The kitchen is communitarian; we usually take turns for preparing the lunch. We cook vegetarian and try to use as much as possible what we can grow on our land. We have chickens, dogs and cats that live with us and we need a hand with them too. We can provide a room with private ...

There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

*Helpe...

We are building a homestead that includes houses, greenhouse, chicken coop, barn etc. HORSE CAREGIVERS - to work with our small herd of 10 horses. We are looking for someone who has experience catching/rounding up horses, caring for and grooming horses, leading trail rides, cleaning/fitting tack. Not required, but would be nice to have someone with experience training young horses, mule packing, conducting riding lessons and equine medical care LANDSCAPERS AND LANDSCAPE DESIGNER - with all the ongoing construction, our homestead area has become quite a mess. We are looking for someone with a good landscape eye and flare for landscape design. UPDATE: Due to the rains that are occurring in the area, the volunteering offer, will be postponed until the dry season begins; approximately in June. I am very grateful to all the volunteers who have written to me showing their interest in helping. I am still a volunteer on helpx; but now i have a new adventure: I will be building a cottage in a nice and quiet location in the south of Perú. Sallac is a small village, it's 248km from Cusco, 125km from Choquequirao and 102km by car from Sayhuite stone. Cottage construction project is located 1km from the village, the land features eucalyptus trees, also prickly pears (it is a delicious fruit) and medicinal plants such as muña. A water canal passes nearby, cobbled. I need volunteers! Someone with an adventurous spirit, who loves nature, enjoys building and is comfortable helping in a rural environment. Ideally volunteers should be resourceful in a solving daily challenges. Experience in building design, digging foundations, elec...
