Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

Hello friends, we are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

We live in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and are the only inhabitants of our property. We are the last settlement before the Maris de Kaw Reserve, a world-renowned site for its wildlife, especially caimans. The nearest village (Roura) is 36 km away. We run on solar power and collect rainwater from the streams that cross our property. Our houses are made of wood, the rooms are spacious and equipped with mosquito nets. The bathrooms are shared and do not have hot water; the water is cool but not cold. It's the perfect place to recharge and discover unspoiled wildlife. We need help maintaining our property: clearing brush and cleaning and painting the buildings.

We are a young family that, in the beginning of 2020, left the city life behind to start a green self-experiment in a countryside in Brazil. As we follow the Permaculture principles, our goal is to learn together, share our experience, produce food and enrich the biodiversity of the land. We are a family of four, but we have two people working here as well. We speak Portuguese, English, Dutch, German and Latvian (Lettish). This volunteer program is a real hands-on experience in agroforestry and organic farming. Also, it is a way to stay away from the hectic world, live in an international community and reconnect with nature. Exchange: We ask for USD$10 per day for a comfortable accommodation and food for the week. As a volunteer within our volunteer program, you will stay in the newly renovated and very comfortable guest house. It has 3 bedrooms - two of them shared ones, each with two single beds and one single room, one bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen with a beautiful dining area...

Hello! My 4-year-old boy, Julian, and I live in a small, simple, no-TV apartment. You’ll have Julian’s room, with a shared bathroom. We live on the 4th floor, and there is a small terrace on the 5th floor where you can enjoy the open air, reading, and sunsets. We are Bolivian, but we speak English at home. I like the idea of Julian being comfortable connecting with other people while traveling and normalizing language learning as an everyday thing, not just something that happens at school. How can you help us? You must love children. While I work remotely, from 2:30pm to 6pm you’ll have to play, paint, DYI stuff, and practice or teach Julian a few words of your own language. You’ll clean what you use and contribute to our Montessori intended lifestyle for Julian. I don’t cook, but if you do, I’ll cover the vegetarian/vegan groceries. I love everything about cultural tourism, traveling and nature. Short stays: 2-4 days.

The land covers about 6 acres and includes native forest, waterways, open areas, and a peaceful rural environment ideal for regenerative living and nature-based projects. The project is in its early stages and focuses on land stewardship, ecological restoration, and the gradual development of a permaculture-inspired eco-farm and homestead. Daily life here is simple, grounded, and hands-on. At present, the land is cared for by a small team, along with chickens, fish, and a cat. This is a calm, rural setting suited to people who enjoy nature, physical activity, and meaningful contribution. Accommodation & Living: Helpers are accommodated in a modest guest house or designated camping areas on the land. The guest house includes shared sleeping spaces, access to a kitchen, bathroom, outdoor toilet, and shower. Li...

We are located in the mid of the Atlantic Rainforest about 120 km away from Rio deJaneiro city.  Our project started 13 years ago and building work is still going on but there is an end in sight, the vegetable garden and orchard are in good shape but need a caring hand all the time.  Our reforestation project is concluded; we planted 2500 native trees of the Atlantic Rainforest on a hill where cattle were grazing in the past. The concept includes MTB-trails in order to facilitate the planting and maintenance of the trees. Along the trails we planted plenty fruit trees. There is still work to do with the cycle trails in order to use them with a bike. There are several buildings where we live on our land. The kitchen is communitarian; we usually take turns for preparing the lunch. We cook vegetarian and try to use as much as possible what we can grow on our land. We have chickens, dogs and cats that live with us and we need a hand with them too. We can provide a room with private ...

TAKE A 1 OR 2 WEEK SPANISH COURSE WHILE VOLUNTEERING AT OUR ORGANIC COFFEE FARM FINCA SAGRADO IN JERICÓ Hi there! We, Klara (Czech/Belgian), Agustin (Colombian) and our son Saila, are looking for nice human beings to join us on our coffee farm. We bought this farm 5 years ago because we fell in love with the land and thought this place would be amazing to raise our son. We didn't know anything about (coffee) farming at that point and kind of turned into coffee farmers overnight. After some years of hard work and a lot of learning we now have our own coffee brand Café Finca Sagrado Two years ago, we started offering coffee tours, chocolate workshops, accomodation for tourists, and a two week Spanish course. During this period, we couldn't receive volunteers because it was hard to manage both. In order to be able to offer our services, but also receive volunteers, we have combined the volunteering with the 1 or 2 week Spanish course. (We don't do volunteering without Spanish classes a...

Our project's goal is to work together, constructing an alternative way of life, different from that of our current consumerist society. We strive to create a more harmonious relationship with our environment, working the land in an organic way, rearing animals as naturally as possible, recycling and reusing, looking for new modern and healthy technologies that we can adapt to the field. To finance our project we host guests as a kind of rural tourism, tourists with who we share some of our activities. We also plan to implement an alternative education program for children. To make real that dream we need people to help us to do it. People with knowledge about bio-construction, permaculture, renewable energies, organic agriculture, carpentry, and cooking. Also, we are just looking for people with similar wishes, who want to teach and to learn how to live in a more healthy and sustainable way. We offer an independent room (single, twin or double). We also have a camping area near the r...

Hello everyone! We have a beautiful colonial-style house right in the center of the capital of Suriname, PARAMARIBO, in a quiet neighborhood. The house used to be a guest house, but after the COVID period, we did not resume our activity. The house definitely needs some serious tidying up in the garden and inside; we would also need help repainting the garden walls as well as organizing and some sanding and varnishing work. If you want to express your artistic side the guest house is the place to be! We can offer you a room or a spot in a hammock in the garden, and you have the option to cook your own food on site. We suggest doing 3 hours of work per day while you take care of preparing and buying your own meals. This way, you would have your afternoons free and your weekends to explore this beautiful country, Suriname. Hope to see you before april 2026! Happy New Year to you all ! Fabee

I fell in love with beautiful Mompiche, moved here and started to build my dream house in 2006. It is a five-story bamboo house, built like a wedding cake. The top floor has a spectacular 360-degree view, with views from the shower and the toilet too! Mompiche is a quaint fishing village with a pristine 40-mile crescent moon bay. From October to April there are world-class waves, attracting surfers from around the world. It is surrounded by jungle with monkeys and tons of birds, including toucans and parrots. I am a massage therapist from Esselen, Big Sur, California with more than 40 years of experience. Chocolate making, basket weaving, and coconut cracking classes are available. Tours of the jungle and yoga can be arranged. You can explore the incredible surrounding area on foot or in kayaks, on horseback, or on a motorboat. Please take notice : I did not receive any volunteers since a couple of years, first because of the pandemic and later because I was away a lot. I am starting again (in fact had a longstaying volunteer a couple of months ago!) Ours is a small property of around 2 has extension of arable land, at the moment the largest part is used for animal forages (mainly corn and alfalfa). In a smaller part, we are implementing organic vegetables, herbs and other crops. Some years ago we established a fruit orchard (apples and peaches), which we are currently trying to diversify. We hope this can be our main activity in the future. We also built two small greenhouses where we plant mainly tomatoes and lettuce, also diversifying now (blueberries). Recently we established a tiny forest, that requieres a lot of attention. There are a lot of problems to solve, mainly insects and birds' attacks, too much sun and water shortage. We are working on solutions one by one (nets, barriers, shadow plants, wa...

If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

We are a small, land-based project located in the Andean mountains of Colombia, approximately two hours south of Bogotá, in a temperate cloud forest and protected forest reserve.

We make woven products from platano trees, ceramics plates, cups, and bowls etc, as well as teach English to children at a native community nearby. We have been here for more than 10 years. In that time natural healing methods have always been important to us. We have met many natural healers, and have discovered a way of eating ...

Fabee

This is a community-based cultural and hospitality project rooted in nature, creativity and collective living. The project welcomes travelers interested in meaningful exchange, offering an immersive experience that connects daily life, local culture and shared responsibilities. It is a space built on respect, care and presence. Volunteers learn through hands-on experiences such as guesthouse support, shared cooking, basic maintenance, event assistance and creative activities. Learning happens organically through collaboration, cultural exchange and everyday practices rather than formal instruction. Sustainability, simplicity and cooperation are central values of the project. This place is ideal for people who value community, nature and cultural dialogue. This is an exchange experience focused on connection, contribution and conscious living.

I am charging $15 a week for all the bottled water you can drink, electricity, gas, TP and a bed in my dream house. I offer 5 delisous breakfasts and 5 ...
