Countryside, near Atlántida, Uruguay. We’re a mature couple who work in the city and live on a small farm - a peaceful retreat from the urban rush. Our companions are a few horses and dogs. Most of them came to us from the rescued shelter and in poor condition. With time, care, and patience, we’ve helped them heal. Our farm isn’t a commercial venture; it’s simply a quiet, cozy place to live close to nature. We’re looking for a reliable helper - someone who’s interested in staying with us long-term. What we offer: - Private accommodation in a converted sea container, fully equipped with a gas stove, shower, refrigerator, and other essentials. - Groceries provided - you prepare your own meals. - Free internet access (limited). We can also offer guidance and support with the residency application process for those who wish to stay long-term. If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. Hello potential volunteers, my name is Jessie! I own Green Paradise Lodge in Pañacocha Ecuador and am looking for rainforest enthusiasts to help me here. Potential tasks may include gardening, building projects, and cabin cleaning when we have guests. Some help with our social media and advertising is always appreciated as well! Not much work is expected so there will be plenty of time to explore the jungle trails, and take the canoe adventuring on the river! We ask $150.00 USD minimum as a donation for the minimum of 3 days stay and maximum of a month. Will provide comfortable housing and a kitchen to use. Food is not included but it is very inexpensive in Ecuador. In addition we always have jungle fruits, plantains, Yuca, and fish from our pristine river available! Some wildlife you can expect to see are dolphins, giant river otters, lots of reptiles and amphibians, and many amazing birds and insects. Check out our Facebook page for pictures!

English (Español abajo) The creation of the organic project is a response to the cultural quest for a more harmonious path into the 21st century. The approach is based on organic, integrated, and interdisciplinary methodology on a micro scale. The Project is located on a small island of the Calbuco Archipelago in the Pacific Gulf of Ancud, in southern Chile. Access to the farm in Isla Tabon is by boat from Calbuco, which is about an hour south of Puerto Montt. The organic project welcomes those who are called to consciously contribute to the project. There is currently availability for volunteers and there are also opportunities for people to farm sit and look after the animals. This would potentially give me a better chance to travel off the island. For this short term visits are possible but I’m also looking for people to farm sit for longer durations during the off-season. For this there is the potential for a live-in person or family to occupy the volunteer house. Please inquir...

Hello friends, we are Sadí and Jacqi a couple from Perú and Germany. We live here with our little daughter Sami and Sadis brother Leo who has joined our project about a year ago. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About 3 three years ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish ...

INTRODUCTION This is NOT a hostel, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a bussiness, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture. Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted in order of arrival and mutual agreement :) BASIC BENEFITS - Wide garden, bedroom, living room, little kitchen. They all are simple. For 2 decades I ran a big guest house where I received travellers and volunteers. Now I moved to a small house in a residential area no far from downtown, were I will be happy to welcome volunteers to fix some things to settle in this new house. I can receive ONE person for 1-2 weeks. I bring private room + breakfast to help me 3 h/day, Mon to Fri, on mornings (possible shifts). For other meals we can share the expenses and I will cook, or I will tell you places to eat cheap.when you go to visit diff. places of this amazing city. I will also give tips on places to visit that are not in tourist brochures. Tasks: cleaning, painting, some repairs around the house and/or the car. I'm a retired engineer and a handyman, so you could learn new skills... but not from zero. If you never took a broom or a hammer, and only studied managenet, administration or philosophy... this is not the right place. Also if you have only one useful hand because you're 24/7 digital addict to...

A few years ago, we settled in a small portion of an incredible forest belonging to the so-called Biosphere Reserve of the temperate forests of the Southern Andes. We both came from different latitudes and realities and made our homeland, as they say in the South of Chile: we learnt from scratch, basically how to live far from the comfort of the city and treasure our instinctive abilities: today, we have a 100% energy efficient home, we think our daily footprint in the space that receives us and we try to dedicate ourselves to what really matters: living a simple life, knowing and protecting this forest and the Valley that feeds it. Today, we seek support in the daily forestkeeper tasks that we carry out such as making firewood, maintaining trails, controlling weeds, replanting native trees, building a warehouse, repairing elements of the house that are damaged over time and other tasks typical of life far away of the city. Since we build ourselves with effort, we look for people li...

TAKE A 1 OR 2 WEEK SPANISH COURSE WHILE VOLUNTEERING AT OUR ORGANIC COFFEE FARM FINCA SAGRADO IN JERICÓ Hi there! We, Klara (Czech/Belgian), Agustin (Colombian) and our son Saila, are looking for nice human beings to join us on our coffee farm. We bought this farm 5 years ago because we fell in love with the land and thought this place would be amazing to raise our son. We didn't know anything about (coffee) farming at that point and kind of turned into coffee farmers overnight. After some years of hard work and a lot of learning we now have our own coffee brand Café Finca Sagrado Two years ago, we started offering coffee tours, chocolate workshops, accomodation for tourists, and a two week Spanish course. During this period, we couldn't receive volunteers because it was hard to manage both. In order to be able to offer our services, but also receive volunteers, we have combined the volunteering with the 1 or 2 week Spanish course. (We don't do volunteering without Spanish classes a...

Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bicycles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente antioqueño". The work is diverse and we usually ask for about 4-5 hours of help per day. Normally we do three days of work and one day off. The days start with Agnihotra and Yoga and then a hearty breakftast. We offer accommodation and three meals a day. We love food and cooking, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen preparing healthy, delicious meals. If you like to cook, we are more than happy to taste your flavors! For now we ask for seven to ten days, or perhaps more depending on current projects. We just finished building our woodfire oven for bread and pizza making! We are pet lovers, at the moment have six dogs and three cats, most of them were adopted. Please let us know if you are interested, love to have you on board!

I am currently living in a town called Cajabamba. I have a piece of land twenty minutes from it where I have tara and avocado fruit trees. I live a simple happy life being within nature and I feel very connected to it. I love animals and minimalistic living. I know this lovely area where I can take my guests for nice hikes and visits to nearby hot springs. I am a Spanish-English teacher. I taught Spanish in Europe for four years and then I moved to the mountains in Peru in 2019. Presently I am teaching Spanish on line and English to kids here in the mountains. *My place it's two hours from Cajamarca which is on the way to the gocta falls. * Room is provided, two hours of help a day needed.

Please take notice : I did not receive any volunteers since a couple of years, first because of the pandemic and later because I was away a lot. I am now willing to start again (in fact had a longstaying volunteer a couple of months ago!) Ours is a small property of around 2 has extension of arable land, at the moment the largest part is used for animal forages (mainly corn and alfalfa). In a smaller part, we are implementing organic vegetables, herbs and other crops. Some years ago we established a fruit orchard (apples and peaches), which we are currently trying to diversify. We hope this can be our main activity in the future. We also built two small greenhouses where we plant mainly tomatoes and lettuce, also diversifying now (blueberries). Recently we established a tiny forest, that requieres a lot of attention. There are a lot of problems to solve, mainly insects and birds' attacks, too much sun and water shortage. We are working on solutions one by one (nets, barriers, shado...

Hi! We’re Carlos and Verónica, siblings and founders of an educational project in Santo Domingo, Ecuador. We created this initiative to help people aged 12 and above learn English, giving them the tools to expand their academic and professional opportunities. Our team is growing, and we need volunteers like you to support our students, especially by practising conversation and improving their pronunciation. Volunteering at our learning centre is a chance not only to make a real difference in our students’ lives, but also to join a community that believes in education as a force for change.

Now it needs some repairs to and be refinished; so I am going 1 week almost every month, and I can receive one volunteer as in former times other volunteers helped me... Location is Guazuvira, small village 60Km east of Montevideo.. The cabin is located 100 mts from a wide beach. It has bathroom, hot water, kitchen, fridge, microwave and BBQ. There are nice forests around. I will be glad to offer accommodation + breakfast for 3-4 hs/day help (or one day on, one day off, so you can go to visit Montevideo for a day or two) . Meals: we will share expenses and cook together. Jobs are gardening, to isolate walls (foam + panels), painting, etc. I'm a skillful retired engineer. If you come, surely you will learn many tricks. Also I can recommend places to visit in Uruguay according to your trip plan. - Only ONE volunteer. - At least basic Spanish is required.. - Your dates must fit with my next trips in J...

We are a local peace and justice organization on the Caribbean coast of Colombia that has a farm used for organic production, educational purposes, and eco-tourism. We also do environmental education with children ages 6 to 14 through School in the Forest. We are in the tropical dry forest eco-system in the province of Sucre, just outside the city of Sincelejo. Our farm was once used for cattle grazing and much of it was over-grazed and degraded, but other parts still had some old trees. Since 2013, we have been protecting the native trees and planting more. The farm is now filled with trees. We have orange and lime trees, guanábanas, mangos, nisperos, and other tropical fruits. We have 2 ponds and have some animals (chickens, dogs, cats, red-footed turtles). We have also howler monkeys, anteaters, sloths, armadillos and tons of birds on the property which is amazing since the area around us is pretty denuded and since we are so close to the city. Check us out in Facebook as fincavil...

We are located in the mid of the Atlantic Rainforest about 120 km away from Rio deJaneiro city.  Our project started 13 years ago and building work is still going on but there is an end in sight, the vegetable garden and orchard are in good shape but need a caring hand all the time.  Our reforestation project is concluded; we planted 2500 native trees of the Atlantic Rainforest on a hill where cattle were grazing in the past. The concept includes MTB-trails in order to facilitate the planting and maintenance of the trees. Along the trails we planted plenty fruit trees. There is still work to do with the cycle trails in order to use them with a bike. There are several buildings where we live on our land. The kitchen is communitarian; we usually take turns for preparing the lunch. We cook vegetarian and try to use as much as possible what we can grow on our land. We have chickens, dogs and cats that live with us and we need a hand with them too. We can provide a room with private ...

If you’re over 25, love animals, enjoy farm life, and consider yourself hardworking, responsible, and adaptable - we’d be happy to welcome you. ...

Welcome to Paradise! Do you want an authentic Amazon Jungle experience? OUR FARM- The farm is 400m high in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the Amazon Rainforest, surrounded by wild jungle & other village farms. We are far away from the city and enjoy fresh air, natural spring water and quiet tranquility. A great place for star gazing! There are many rare birds, butterflies and wild animals in the surrounding jungle. We practice organic farming. Pick your own fresh fruits. We have a tree nursery and reforestation project, some (stingless) bees, chickens, dogs and cats. We produce coconut oil (not every week) and many natural products like soap here. We make woven products from platano trees, ceramics plates, cups, and bowls etc, as well as teach English to children at a native community nearby. We have been here for more than 10 years. In that time natural healing methods have always been important to us. We have met many natural healers, and have discovered a way of eating ...

Any area is shared. - Breakfast will be provided by the host the work days. However, the lunch and dinner can be cooked in the kitchen by the guest/volunteer/friend. I am flexible to talk about these and other clauses. - You handle to organize your work hours/days. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS - Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal. - Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've...

Irene here. A retired vet and a biologist with masters in organic agriculture and nature conservation. I am building a self-sustaining little homestead, on a 2100m2 block, with ocean and mountain views, 2 cats and 3 dogs, all street rescues. I need enthusiastic and energetic people to help me. The goal is to be living a sustainable, self-sufficient life in a few years. I prefer people to stay for a month, but if you are hardworking I may consider 2 weeks too. You will be working 25hs / week (Monday to Saturday). I prefer you work in the morning. You can either do 5hs in 5 days or 4hs in 6 days. The days you work you get 3 meals a day (minimum 5hs). Snacks and alcohol at your expense. Your room will be available 24/7. The days you don't work, you can either eat somewhere else or pay for your food. (R$ 20 for breakfast / light meal /person and R$ 35 for a hot meal / person). on your days off, you need to tell me the day before if you will be eating here. Cooking outside of our regul...

Who are we ? Hello ! My name is Marlene, I live in a small coffee farm near Fusagasuga with my family: my husband Omar Ricardo, my son Joseph who is 16 years old, and my mother in law Modesta. We also live with our 2 dogs and 2 cats who are very friendly. I am a professor of middle school and I work half a day, except on weekends, but Omar Ricardo, Joseph and Modesta are always here in the farm. It's only been a year and a half since we have been living here in the country, as we were before living in Bogota and then Fusagasuga. That's why our farm still needs a lot of improvement :) About our farm : Our farm is in the middle of the country, at 25 minutes by car and 30 minutes by bus of Fusagasuga. The bus stop is at 10 min by feet and pases each half-our. If you need we can take you in Fusagasuga by car: We have 3 hectares of property, in which we cultivate coffee and other trees like, guanabana, platan, cacao, mangoes, avocados, oranges, lemon, mandarine. We are startíng a small guest house complex directly on the beach in Engabao, a fishing and surfing town located 15 km from Playas and 1 hour from Guayaquil. The guesthouse consists of furnished 1 and 2 bedroom suites with completely equipped kitchens and hot water. There is a pool and gazebo overlooking the ocean. At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

I fell in love with beautiful Mompiche, moved here and started to build my dream house in 2006. It is a five-story bamboo house, built like a wedding cake. The top floor has a spectacular 360-degree view, with views from the shower and the toilet too! Mompiche is a quaint fishing village with a pristine 40-mile crescent moon bay. From October to April there are world-class waves, attracting surfers from around the world. It is surrounded by jungle with monkeys and tons of birds, including toucans and parrots. I am a massage therapist from Esselen, Big Sur, California with more than 40 years of experience. Chocolate making, basket weaving, and coconut cracking classes are available. Tours of the jungle and yoga can be arranged. You can explore the incredible surrounding area on foot or in kayaks, on horseback, or on a motorboat. I am charging $15 a week for all the bottled water you can drink, electricity, gas, TP and a bed in my dream house. I offer 5 delisous breakfasts and 5 ...
