Hello, thank you for looking at our listing. After a little break from hosting we're looking for helpers for April - October 2026. We are Cathy (47) and Leo (who is 14 years old.) We live in a lovely, but messy little cottage in a very beautiful glen. We are semi-off-grid and at the moment there's several issues with the plumbing so please do not apply if you need a daily hot shower! We like to have several helpers so friends are welcome to apply, alternatively we are happy to take single travellers - but please be aware you may need to share a sleeping area with other helpers (who we will ensure are the same sex and similar age to you.) The accommodation is extremely basic, the house is in disarray and I currently resemble a headless chicken for much of the day! Only apply if you are comfortable with untidiness and disorder. However, despite this you will have fun, be well fed and happy. The gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and peaceful, so escaping the crazines...

Come and get a real taste of Nu Zelan! Home brew, home made breads and fresh fish.. Bush crash up the stream, swim at the beach across the road, come fishing with me on the kayaks. Take the bikes, pedal 2km to Waiomu; then tramp/jog to some beautiful Kauri (1/2 to 3/4hr). Do an overnighter at The Pinnacles Hut up the Kauranga Valley if yr into vast iconic views and like tramping (you need to book). If you have wheels you can do great day trips around the Peninsula. And if yr more chill, Thames has some great op-shops. Debs & I are happy boomers on the endless holiday ! Loving every second left. However, we seriously need help with the massive task of #296: gardens to create&jungle to clear ! We are keen to host people who want to help, who are comfortable speaking English (or trying) and value simple routines and shared respect. When Debs & I started hosting in 2025 we moved to the sleepout making it possible to host helpers hopefully from different cultures in the house. The...

Hobbits are "little people" with big hearts and big bare feet firmly connected with mother earth. They habitually live "under the radar" of some PC embellished society and try all their best to not succumb to the madness of it. Claiming their birth right to nature's abundance, love, beauty and endless creativity they naturally make up to and make do with the lack of gold caused by the greedy child-eating dragon behind the bare stone mountains.. Hi, my name is Marianne. I live on a classic New Zealand all-day sunny "tree quarter acre of hobbit shire" looking down to Oamaru. If you arrive early enough at my kitchen window or even up on the jungle hill behind the cottage, you can see the sea and watch the sunrise. A 10 minute stroll down Eden Street gets you either to the CBD or to the shoreline. I am providing three basic meals per day as well as a comfortable and quiet room for your stay and to relax after our daily four hours of working together "out there", somewhere on some befitt...

Autonomy for everyone, especially for you and us at mealtime ... Resources are shared according to the availability of the moment. More possibilities if my children are not there, less if I have other guests ... fortuitous ... In the meantime we have no shortage of space in the garden to let you plant your tent or you lend a space... This is the minimum we can guarantee. A cabin is also available on the family sailboat ... Here too, there is work ... The room with double bed of the house is not often free for our helper sometimes the chance does things well, ask what you want, we are in French Polynesia climate is stable all year ;-) We will not ask for more than 2 or 3 hours of help a day in exchange we plan to lodge without food, although fruits from the garden are still part of the tradition of sharing the house... It's up to you to do your shopping and your dish washing and cleaning up after, the load will be in our situation not equitable otherwise.

Hi everyone. My name's Claud I'm a beekeeper and a horse trainer I live on a small island south of Greece called Kythira. The island is full of beautiful beaches and green small forests. I owe nearly 100 beehives and I need help maintaining the equipment and taking care of them. I also help a friend ride and train and take care of his horses. I'm constantly busy and almost always not at home. Ideally I would need help for a few hours a day. I have a car we can share if you have a driving licence. So you can explore around. Or I can be your guide in my free time.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B9REPhgY6/ Hi, This is a small farm property (sheep, a cat and orchard) just of state highway 2 within walking distance of Morere hot springs reserve and about 20 minutes drive to the beaches of the mahia peninsula. The bus between wellington and Gisborne stops here twice a day walking distance from Possum bend. Helpers work about 4 hours a day.At the moment, I have some gardening and housework to do. Also, if you like cooking, i enjoy trying new recipes/meals etc (This is not a commercial property so, generally, surfing takes priority over working if the surf is good). I prefer easy going people with a good sense of humour who are adventurous. I especially enjoy meeting people who have traveled or come from places I have not visited and hearing about their experiences. Morere is a quiet spot so if you are a city person it won't be suitable for you. I also have a neighbour, Amber, with a property very similar to mine ( actually much more beautifu...

Hi folks! I'm looking for an extra set of hands during April, may and June. Between 10-20 days at a time. 😊 I'm hoping for avid gardeners or skilled DIY or both! Giving the garden a makeover, also the natural swimming pool. If the weather is rubbish we will be painting and decorating 😄 We can't accommodate children or dogs sorry. Work is varied, and will change depending on the weather. we will be giving the garden a bit of a make over. Including the natural swimming pool. Lots of plants being removed and replaced. I also run a very small camping, you can find it on instagram via link below. https://www.instagram.com/cactuslodgecamping/ There's a chance new planting could happen there too. New ideas and creativity are always welcome. 😁 Here's my usual bumf, I have a small holding consisting of olives, carobs, almonds, veg patch, pigs, and geese, and am battling to get the land, trees, under control. There is also a natural swimming pool here, which used to be a normal swim...

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience. We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, gardening, wood splitting, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 1 hour work a day (couple) and 1.5 hours work a day (single) which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like. Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn. We run a boutique dairy farm, milking a small herd of much loved cows and selling raw milk to our wonderful customers Starting a new business is hard work and not for the faint-hearted. If you consider yourself up for the challenge of helping us, we'd love to hear from you! We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry, building and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the large and previously neglected garden also requires a lot of work. We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and ...

Accomodation is a private cabin that sleeps up to 4 people. Full kitchen, hot shower, composting toilet/outhouse. Volunteers mostly prepare their own meals with food provided. We are very far from anything and you will be happiest here with your own vehicle. Our small farm produces eggs and garlic for sale locally, as well as fruits and vegetables for ourselves. Work includes tending to the garlic and chickens, help in the vegetable garden, fencing, construction, and all aspects of rural living. Please be ready to work in all weather. Mosquitoes can be bad at times. Work is physically demanding. Prefer longer stays of 3 weeks or more.

I live on one acre of land, about 5k's out of Cooroy, where buses and trains are available, plus a supermarket, library and several shops. The help I am seeking is to do with keeping the property tidy. My pet dog does not venture into areas that guests are likely to be using. Guests are welcome to use cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery and glassware. I can make one shelf available in my fridge, and guests can use my washing machine. I do NOT have a microwave. I can supply breakfast and an evening meal for a small fee or other arrangement. Please ask if you have any further questions.

Small sheep ranch in northern Montana offers hands-on-learning experiences. We run about 40 head of ewes for wool and lamb crops. There is need for sheep herding help in the summer, lambing help during around April in particular. Shipping is in August. But internships accepted all year. Other ranch activities include plantings for wildlife, fencing, farming, gardening and landscaping, building and repairs. Besides sheep, ranch animals include chickens, horses, and goats. I would welcome Helpers who have some skills in landscaping, gardening, carpentry, construction, painting, driving tractors, fencing - or who want to learn. Several projects are lined up that would give a variety of experiences. Regenerative is a byword for goals here. Restoring fields to grassland. Historic preservation of structures on this old homestead is another goal. All seasons have their special opportunities, even winter. Spring lambing offers a fast course in animal husbandry for Helpers who woul...

We live on a 5 acre hobby farm in the beautiful Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three young adult children (two live at home), two horses, many chickens, ducks, geese, goats and two gorgeous dogs. We grow organic vegetables and breed heritage chickens in an attempt to be more sustainable. Jobs involve general gardening, helping with the animals and housekeeping. If you would like a Tassie small farm experience message us with some details of the work you have previously done. We have separate accommodation, with a bathroom. All our HelpXers have loved working and living with us and I hope you will too (please remember Tassie is a cold place in winter). There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. For example, the Hartz mountains, Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk. We live close to a sleepy village called Cygnet and Hobart is only a 40min drive away. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

Beautiful 56 acre mountainous property, completely off grid with a small hardwood house /cottage that I have built using milled wood from trees on the property , with lovely views everywhere . Also doing a lot work to improve the land and infrastructure. (Unfortunately we can't approve 2nd year visas)

la maison de 300m2 est située dans un grand parc à l`entrée de uturoa (500m de la mairie) j`ai toujours besoin d`aide pour entretenir les extérieurs, faire de menus travaux de bricolage et nettoyer la maison. the 300 meters square house is located in a large park downtown the main city of raiatea. I always need some help to do the garden, to clean and repair the house. I ask for 5 hours daily in exchange of food, accommodation(private bedroom) wifi and laundry NON SMOKERS ONLY! Helpers usually assist with gardening, weeding, food preparation, cooking, cleaning, tidying and housework. Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of four hours a day. You will be rewarded with good food, a comfy bed and a friendly household. Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my work with food I WON'T accept any helpers who smoke! No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption allowed. This is NOT the place for the `party crowd`, pampered ...

Our family of six lives on a small farm near Christchurch and we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can. We have cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and fruit trees and are planting berries and vegetables. In the winter or during cold weather we cook on a wood range which heats our house and hot water. At the moment we have plenty of chickens to look after and are hoping to plant some autumn vegetables. Current projects are: Making raised beds and a fence around them Sowing vegetables Mulching around fruit trees Pruning willow trees Making a chicken run Compost heaps Accommodation is a spacious cabin with a double bedroom, kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. Would suit a couple or two friends travelling together who don’t mind sharing the queen bed. The cabin has a fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster in the kitchenette. The work is 4 hours help per day (or 8 hours every second day) for 5 days of the week. It is best if you have your own transport as we are not on any ...
