Hi travellers ! I have moved house and now live in a small village in a suburb 10 mins from the city centre. I have a small but bountiful garden. I also have my dog Boiki who is now nearly 7 years old. He enjoys 2 walks a day so help with the morning walk is always welcome. Apart from gardening and dog walking most help I appreciate is helping me keep my house clean and tidy and kitchen stuff like dishes and cooking or baking. Nothing too arduous ! We could do with a bit of help for a week working on a landscape/biodiversity project that we are currently doing. Preferably someone relatively fit and strong and used to outdoor work. We have a beautiful rural coastal property between Whakatane and Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty. We overlook the Waiotahe estuary and are a few minutes walk from Bryans Beach and Ohiwa Harbour - great kayaking, swimming, walking and fishing. We would like some help particularly on outside tasks such as cutting firewood, planting trees, digging and weedeating (strimming), as well as generally helping in the garden and around the house. During most of the year the work includes typical farm and household tasks like animal care, gardening, grass trimming, canning/preserving, house sitting if we are away, cleaning of coops, tractor work and/or some building project help. I am a full-time artist with a lake-front home and studio in a remote location on Quadra Island with occasional artists visiting or helping with production in the studio. We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour restaurant in Oneonta, New York. We built our Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life.
