We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. Caro, then Chris & Caro were backpacking, doing hitchhiking, etc... The beautiful wildlife. Then kids arrived in 2017 and 2019 so we mainly stayed travelling in Europe by van until they will be able to carry a little backpack ;) When the virus arrived, we were crossing Sweden. Everything became complicated with borders, shops and people so we decided to enjoy the strange time to build our home. We bought an over 300 years old stone house on a big peace of land which were abandoned and this new adventure started. My name is Selly and I am the founder of an association. I live in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, where I was born. I founded this association 4years ago with the aim of promoting access to education for children,Youth and-women in my country and hometown. Unfortunately, although Tanzania has exceptional wildlife and culture, access to education is marked by significant inequalities. Approximately 3.5 million school-age children and adolescents are not enrolled in school, and nearly 30% of children aged 5 to 14 are working, 94% of whom are in the agricultural sector. Additionally, child labor still affects approximately 4.2 million children aged 5 to 17. Schools for children aged 5 to 18 are fee-paying and often too expensive for the poorest families, which significantly reduces their chances of accessing education. I run a private English school for children between the ages of 7 and 19 in the small town of Batusangkar, West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives. We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the Skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland City. We are two minutes from the beach and there are several walks and cycling tracks nearby. We mainly farm sheep and also keep bees. You would be living as part of our family and are welcome to join in with any social events and activities, in particular fishing and boating. We have 3 adult children, and three grandchildren as well as three dogs and a cat. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. It would be for a maximum of 4 hours a day which will leave plenty of time to explore the local area.

Hi world!! I am a mother of 2 kids and overtook a farm. A herd of 20 goats and 20 joung goats, some chicken, 2 horses, 1 dog, 2 pigs and 3 cows are living here at the moment. Help with cleaning up all over the place and start the garden for vegetables or reparing fences would be great. Also my son always love to have a person to play with. Hello dear helpers, Several years ago, we bought a small farmhouse in northern Germany. By now, 12 people and several animals live here. We were fortunate enough to take over the neighboring organic farm, where two gardeners grow vegetables. A few years ago, we rescued 3 pigs from the slaughterhouse, and they now also live with us. In September 2024 three Piglets were rescued from their cruel fate and instead came to our Sanctuary. "We" are Volker (42) and Louise (39). Volker builds and sells ecological tiny houses, and Louise works in healthcare. We love cooking, making music, painting, playing board games, and both have been living vegan for many years. We also have two old dogs and a cat and a big heart for animals. We would appreciate help with the everyday tasks here on the farm. This could include mowing the meadow, gardening, building fences, caring for and planting trees, doing manual work, taking care of the pigs and sometimes helping in the organic farm.
